A game I often spring on friends who are as obsessed with pop culture as I am is Who'd You Rather?. The terms are loose and we usually do it as a progression (so your last choice is often pitted against a new one). It's light fun but my diabolical goal is usually to torture someone with a choice of nearly equal weight (like I did to myself with the first two selections).

Did I finish s6 just to nose dive right into s7 because I had a watching partner to share side eye, knowing smirks with (because he knew what was coming too)… yes.

But let’s back it back up…

I loved this season! 💕 but it felt like it went by so fast!! Where s5 felt like it was 80 episode by itself 6 felt like it was only like 8… idk

Anyway poor Bobby and Athena can’t ever get a moments rest! OMG I knew the little girl storyline was coming, and it still shook me! That episode has me hugging my babies extra tight and I CRIED at the montage of him catching her and Athena catching him. 💔💔💔💔

Hen taking on so much and just wanting to do it all instead of feeling like she’s letting someone down! I feel that! But her breakdown at failing the test 💔💔

And poor Buck searching so hard for some meaning to his existence 😭😭😭 BBY YOU MATTER SO MUCH TO SO MANY!WHY CANT YOU SEE THAT!?

Tomorrow. TO👏🏼MOR👏🏼ROW👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 it feels like a Karen Begins or a HenRen begins and was one of my favorite episodes! I loved it so much and was sitting on the edge of my seat (read: laying in bed… anxiously) the whole second half! I was sooooo scared! And I knew it wasn’t gonna end bad! 😭😭😭

BUCK BEING THE DONOR! I love that for Connor and Kamryn but I fear that for Buck! Buddy this is not how you find a purpose. It’s a good gesture… but eh idk. It’s sad for him. But him running to give the donation was hilarious.

Now that I’m making this… I think I slept through What’s your Fantasy which could explain a part of the season feeling shorter ☠️ I wonder if I did this on other episodes 🤔🤔☠️

In a flash 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 knew what was coming and was fully prepared and still was like panicking the whole time ☠️ but I did enjoying the what if storyline and Buck realizing how important he is!

Poor Wendall! And man! With Hen almost losing Karen then almost losing Buck… and Bobby almost losing Buck then actually losing Wendall these writers just love torturing these poor people omg!

I KNEW MADDIE WOULD BE THE ONE TO PROPOSE THE SECOND I SAW JEE WITH THE RING! And I still sat and watched the story play out like the Jeremy Renner heart eyes gif! And the ring 😂😂 I loved it!

I loved the fact they brought Jeff back and had him help save Bobby just like Bobby saved him! 💕💕💕

I’d say onto season 7 but I already finished the 5 eps and AM IN LOVE WITH ABC for taking the show… sooooo yeah 😂 bring on the wedding of the century and all the craziness coming with it! I’m so excited!! :) ONE MORE DAY!

What are your thoughts on a Clint x Nat baby? I’ve read some fics where Nat accidentally gets pregnant and debates between keeping the baby or not. But I’ve also read a few fics where they both desperately want a baby and excel as parents once they have one. Personally I think Nat would be terrified if she was pregnant but eventually come around to the idea, because it’s a lil part of her and Clint, and be a great mom.

(They have a daughter named Katya. And she’s fucking adorable.) 😭

Kid/baby Clintasha fics are definitely a real guilty pleasure for me. While I don’t agree with how Whedon presented that bit of character backstory for Natasha, I think taken with in universe logic it would make sense for the Red Room to sterilize their Widows. (It’s one of the few things that is canon that I’ve kept for my fic Sightline.)

(I ALSO have a real big problem with the tone in which it was discussed and handled in the Black Widow movie but let’s just skip over that for now.)

I think Clint and Nat would be exceptional parents. Extremely doting and highly protective I must admit I see them a bit of a helicopter parent duo. At least until the age of ten I want to say, when they start to loosen up their reigns as they finally start to believe that their child is safe. I think they would also retire from both SHIELD and Avenging, I don’t think Natasha much less Clint would be able to handle the separation and uncertainty in leaving for missions for months at a time. Clint is also immediately a girl dad. (I can’t help but picture Jeremy Renner a bit as I type this. Which hilariously shines a glaring light on my own father issues, but like in a ‘awww I wish o had that!’ way.)

I think it’s rather a cliche in the fandom to imagine them having a little girl, and I’m firmly one million percent within that camp. I genuinely can’t picture them having a boy for their first kid. (Yes, I said first. They have two! A girl and a boy roughly three years apart. They live in my head as a happy little family on a farm in the cornfields of Iowa and I love them very much.)

As for the pregnancy—it was fucking brutal! For my headcanon of a non-sterilized Natasha the Red Room kept them continually supplied with birth control and other hormonal blockers to the point that it was actually assumed that she would not be able to get pregnant or at the very least it would be rare. That one in a million chance happened after a particularly nasty fight when Natasha ran into the line of fire to save Steve. Cue a couple of thrown dishes and Clint growling into her ear and pinned to the bed.

“I’m not fucking losing you, do you hear me, Tasha!”

It was very hot and very intense and oops!

What really was difficult about the pregnancy, you know besides being pregnant (her back hurt like a son of a birch) was the emotional torrent that it brought. Sleepless nights, constant worry, questioning if she even wanted to keep it, followed by a surreal disbelief that she was even pregnant. It was a body horror watching and then feeling a tiny baby growing inside her. In the end she decided to keep it, partly as one last fuck you to the Red Room and her past but also because it was part Clint too. When she told him, it was in the middle of a firefight. (He would later tell her that her timing was shit.) As soon as the words left her mouth he looked at her for a good five seconds, blinked and then nodded to himself. He then, without any of the fanfare, dispatched the ten guys shooting at them, clean kills. All ten headshots. One right after the other with the cold efficiency she’s only ever seen once before when she was captured and tortured for three months.

Katya Philomena Romanoff-Barton was born November 16th. Three months premature, and weighing two pounds and thirteen ounces. She has blue eyes like her father and the freckles and red hair of her mother. They were able to bring her home after a year in the NICU.

She starts her Freshmen year at Princeton this year, double majoring in International Politics and Psychology, with an applied minor in History. She has one championship trophy in Olympic Archery and does Ballet in her free time.

I love the idea of Angel as the latest of Faith's proxy fathers. After Gwen Post, and Wesley/Giles, and the Mayor, Angel is the only one who cares for her just as a person. Not as a slayer. Not as a weapon. But just because she's a sad, lonely, suicidal girl, and Angel wants to help people.

Angel keeps checking on her, keeps fighting for her, and - ironically - because among Faith's greatest traits is her almost suicidal loyalty, she almost instantly is ready to die for the man who she tried to kill several times in Season 3. If in Season 4/7 of ATS/Buffy, Angel and Buffy came to blows, I genuinely do not know who she would side with! Her proxy father? Or her proxy ex?

Angel's paternal relationship with Faith, seems like a parallel with Drusilla, too. Putting aside my persistent headcanon that Dru was a Potential, Dru was a good, kind person who Angelus perverted and tortured and broke into a killer. Faith was a broken, tortured killer who Angel helped put back together. And, well, Juliet and Eliza don't look unalike. This isn't the only time that sort of parallel is made - Sam Lawson and Spike in S5 of Angel, for instance - but I think that Drusilla, whose paternal relationship with Angel is really strong, makes an extremely strong parallel with Faith.

Also, you know Dru and Faith would tear it up on the dance floor.

I don't think Angel necessarily contextualizes Faith as a way to make up for Dru, or as a daughter. Angel wants to help people, and he doesn't really spend a lot of time thinking why he seems to be drawn to little blonde women who look like Darla, and cool semi-prophetic brunettes. (And let's give credit to Angel, he saves other people too.) But Angel wants to be a father. He revels in fatherhood with Conner; Angelus reveled in his vampire mentorship/fatherhood for Dru, Spike, and Penn. (Remember Penn? That was Jeremy Renner!) And I think that - as sad as it is, as dark as it is - Angel, sitting across the prison glass from this woman who loves him like a father, this dark-haired girl with big brown eyes, is happy to have that relationship. He's happy he can help Faith. He's happy to be a father again.

There's a world, a better world, where Angel and Cordy and Faith and Baby Connor are this strange, messed up, but still weirdly fitting, little family unit. And I do love to explore that in fanfic and such.

Audrey Rose: HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS Anthony Hopkins claims that a young girl who's been experiencing night terrors is actually being possessed by the spirit of his dead daughter SUCH A GREAT movie. More psychological horror than anything.

Blacula and Scream, Blacula, Scream: I haven't seen these yet, but obviously I will??? Hello???

Night of the Demons: horrible 80's teen scary movie, and actually, this ones a little gorey: dumb teens spend the night in a funeral parlor, and there's an incredible possessed dance by Amelia Kinkade.

The Love Witch: If you haven't heard of the Love Witch, then, listen, it's about a seventies-esque witch who yearns for love but it keeps going wrong. Aesthetic, funny, femme, witchy.

Ginger Snaps: HELLO, iconic actress pair Emily Perkins and Katherine Isabelle. Girlhood, Monster-ation, werewolves. Iconic.

OK, since I finally finished reading the entirety of Tales from The Pizzaplex #4, I'm gonna give y'all my thoughts all in one post. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

Story #1: "Submechanophobia"

I really liked this story because of the setting, and because the main protagonist, Caden, didn't die! Hooray! I would honestly love to see a FNAF game that takes place in Freddy's Fantasy Water Park. I wonder what Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy would look like design-wise in that setting. I'm also crazy about the animatronics in the mechaquarium! I just wish when they put the mermaid on the front cover, they'd gotten her hair color right. Delilah isn't blonde; her hair is red, probably like Ariel's. Another thing I liked about the story is that the animatronics recognized that Caden was a good person and didn't try to hurt him. I also loved the way Caden stood up to Darryl. He handled it maturely and with dignity. Good on you, Caden. Also, I thought the ending was pretty funny.

Story #2: "Animatronic Apocalypse"

Hoo-boy. This story actually made me go "WHAT THE FUCK!?" more than once. Why? Because... Mr. Renner. Just... all the shit he does to torture the Fazbear Fan Club. The way his influence spreads. And then that one plot twist left me wondering about Mr. Renner's origins. And then... the ending with Robbie. It honestly reminded me of how Goosebumps books tended to end... everything seeming to be finally okay, except suddenly, out of left field, it's not! I usually don't like it when things happen in horror without explanation (it's a weird preference of mine), but I gave it a pass because of how nostalgic it made me feel. A weird story overall, but I love how horrified it made me with Mr. Renner. I have so many goddamn questions about him though... I wonder if a future story will answer them. Or not. Who knows?

P.S. I kinda wish Animatronic Apocalypse was a real tabletop RPG. I don't normally play games like those because the social aspect of such games intimidates me, but... the story actually made it sound interesting.

Story #3: "Bobbiedots, Part 1"

I loved this one enough that I can forgive the fact we won't see this story's conclusion until the next book. The Bobbiedots are unsettling yet strangely cute. And honestly? It's really funny how thirsty they are for Abe, and yet Abe doesn't seem to care. I don't know if it's because they're holograms, or if Abe is gay, or if he's aro/ace. I wonder if I missed a detail... at any rate, this story's first part ends on a cliffhanger, and I am very excited to find out what happens in Part 2. Also, I really wanna draw Rose, Olive, and Gemini. So far, I've seen one piece of fan art of them on Twitter, and I really loved it... I hope my art skills are enough to capture them well, too.

BONUS STORY:

Plenty of teenage drama happening despite the fact Lucia and her companions are dropping like flies. I don't hate it, but it is kind of funny to see. I was devastated to see Wade die, because MAN, he didn't deserve it at all. Joel was such a fucking prick! Honestly, I was satisfied to see him die, selfish as he was. Also, now that Kelly's confidence is increasing, I wonder how long she'll survive. I'm pretty sure Lucia is gonna be the Final Girl (TM), but Kelly just might surprise us all. We'll see, I guess...

Making Waves

Jesus Christ, Son of God, Son of woman out in a boat. His disciples had spent one, two years with Him by the time He’d told the storm to cease. They’d seen people delivered of diseases and demons. Lepers had grown new body parts. Blind eyes saw for the first time. Ears were opened to hear the faintest sound. Tongues were loosed to say their first words. Dead people were raised to life. Before this storm, the disciples thought they knew He was Messiah, but the storm quieting down immediately blew them away. Now, they wanted to know what ‘kind’ of Man this was.

My aged mother lived with us. She pushed her walker around the neighborhood, chatting with neighbors. The neighbors weren’t believers.

When the tornado siren went off. Mike was watching the storm from his porch. The greenish-black sky was pouring down ‘car wash,’ heavy rain. Mom, on our porch, stuck her finger in the air and yelled into the storm, commanding the tornado to go back into the sky— in the name of Jesus Christ.

Later, Mike asked my daughter, ‘is your grandma a witch?’ He’d heard her tell the storm to quiet and the tornado to go back into the air. Moments later the sky lightened and danger was past. He frankly wanted to know what ‘kind’ of woman, Mom was. Bystanders become interested in the totally different ‘kind’ of people.

Rick Renner, on his program, has been touring Bible times Pergamum, teaching about how truly evil this seat of satan, (Revelation 2) was. Resembles closely in description to the sinful USA. Believers were led by Holy Spirit to Pergamum to start a church. Because Believers loved Jesus— they wouldn’t go to the bath houses where homosexual acts occurred in front of everyone. They also, didn’t go to the theater, sporting arenas, and other social spheres because every event was either to the death, or to make fun of other believers before torturing them and killing them. Nor could they find work to earn a living because of the fact they were believers. Yet, they founded a church where many from Pergamum became believers, choosing Christ over the evil they were accustomed to. What ‘kind’ of people were they?

Right now many believers are ‘rapture’ bound, believing the rapture will occur momentarily. They’re hunkered down, trying to make it through until then. But Jesus is still saying— “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19NIV. Until the harvest is brought in, there’ll be no ‘rapture’ to anywhere.

Why should anyone think what ‘kind of person,’ about us? Churches sugar coat the gospel to not offend anyone. Instead of making waves, we make compromises. Everything happening in our nation is because Believers have sat in our church pews—not proclaiming the gospel, while we allowed the world to become darker and darker— praising God, singing, praying for each other, and going home to do nothing about winning souls. We’ve judged the lost instead of loved the lost and showed them the way of salvation.

Yahweh told me to participate in the world and begin making waves. I feel led to volunteer one day a week for the political party closest to my tenets. This is brand new and TOTALLY out of my comfort zone. He says I need to show people I’m a different ‘kind’ of person.

Casting a quick Discern Enemy on Climb, Hraefn clicked his tongue as he realized Climb was a mere level thirteen. It seemed he had an escort mission on his hands, he'd have to take on the fifteen before they could target Climb. What a bother.

Hraefn slid between Climb and the door, drawing his sword as he pushed in, eyes on his enemies, now four of them. Which one was it... his eyes glowed pink as he discerned all of his enemies levels once more, this time without the use of spells.

Seventeen. Hraefn lunged at him, aiming to disable as he never got a confirmation that they could kill. With a feint of going for the throat, he dropped and initiated two precise slashes at the woman's legs. She stumbled, and he used the opening to cut off her sword belt, kicking it across the room as he turned away from her.

Fifteen. The other lady had already been alerted to Hraefn's initial tactic, so he wasted no time with a feint, going straight for her sword arm. Distantly, he acknowledged that Climb had just crossed swords with twelve, and thirteen was coming in from his left. He'd survive. Hraefn's assumed feint had the woman careful, watching his every move for her own protection. He went straight for the hand, creating a gash through the back of her wrist, throwing an arm out towards thirteen. "Sleep."

As thirteen hit the ground, he jumped back in a fast flip, startling his opponent. Another opening, only for half a second, but even with his slightly reduced speed, Hraefn was cleared for four consecutive attacks, aiming for her legs and sword hand. It was enough to send the blade and the woman to the ground. He hit the shortsword away midfall.

That only left twelve, who Climb was in a fair fight with. Both men taking whatever hit they could make at the other while Hraefn went and knocked fifteen and seventeen out.

It wasn't until twelve tried to hit under the belt that Hraefn intervened, tugging the man back by the collar. He met the surprised man with a pleasant smile before striking him over the head with the hilt of his blade, just as he had done the others. Hraefn unceremoniously dropped him to the ground, his hand axe clattering with him.

The carriage ride had been bumpy but uneventful. The only thing to come out of it was some explanations on the kingdom, courtesy of Climb. Being a foreigner, the boy assumed Hraefn didn't know much about the country and elaborated on everything he asked, including its currency. He'd been right on the fact that thirteen copper was a silver, however, that strange conversion didn't stick with the rest of the coins. One gold was a hundred silver, and a platinum coin was ten gold. It seemed each copper piece was worth around one thousand yen or a little over nine American dollars, he mused, a tidbit he'd learned shortly before the shutdown.

Additionally, Climb told him about the Royal Family. Their monarch was King Ramposa III, who had three children, the First Prince, Barbro Andrean Ield Ryle Vaiself, the Second Prince, Zanac Valleon Igana Ryle Vaiself, and the Third Princess, Renner Theiere Chardelon Ryle Vaiself. He offhandedly mentioned that there was no specific heir to the throne, a piece of information that caught Hraefn's interest. Though they'd arrived before they could prod more.

Climb led Hraefn through baroque halls, and towards the room where he was told the Princess awaited, a parlor by his understanding. He took in the sights as they walked; beautiful paintings, elaborate architecture, red carpets embroidered with gold, it was all beautiful.

On the way, another pair of figures came their direction, a wizened old man wearing a crown, the king, Climb had hurriedly whispered to him, accompanied by tall, dark, and handsome. A muscular man looking only a few years older than Hraefn was in his world. With sunbathed dark skin, short, trimmed, black, maybe brown hair, and black eyes as sharp as any of Hraefn's blades. He was exactly his type. Perhaps it was the incubus in him that had him so hungry, zeroing in on every detail, but he calmed himself before they were approached.

Hraefn matched his bow with Climb's, getting ready to move out of the way, using his sixth sense to make sure it was on par with his partner's. Though he'd been prepared to immediately move out of the way, his instinct kept him in place and composed, rising up with hands clasped in front of him and staying at Climb's side, half a step behind.

"It is good to see you well, Climb. Who is this that you're with?"

Elanor took her chance. “We would certainly be able to! Would you like a spar?”

A Mithril adventuring group, surely if Hraefn took them down, then his skills would have to be further acknowledged. Matching the data given by his Sense Danger with his previous experience using Discern Enemy, Hraefn estimated them to each be around level twenty. He quickly did some math in his head before he accepted the challenge.

The strongest man in the kingdom was thirty-one, Adamantite level, then using the group system, it would take four thirty-ones to reach Adamantite in the first place. While in total that would reach two-hundred and four, scaling didn’t work that way. Even a single level mattered in the early game. Thus, if Hraefn acted at the level he’d accidentally put himself at, around level fifty-three, he wouldn’t be too out of place at Adamantite. Surely, if there were dragons in the world, like he’d seen on the board and in paintings, then there existed the few that stood above thirty to challenge them.

Okay, fifty-three it was. Twenty-two levels in magic caster, thirty-one in warrior. Well, more likely they would overlap, but those were the base numbers he would use. If push came to shove, he would use his fifth tier magic and call it at least a seven level overlap.

With his mind made up, he smiled brightly at his ticket to Mithril. “Very well. I am new to this city, do you know anywhere we could spar?”

“We can spar next door; the guild has a training hall there. They remodeled an old warehouse to serve as a testing area; it is open to adventurers for use,” Elenor offered, “Though we may need permission, for people at our level, we’d need the whole area.” She turned her head to her companion. “Poppy, please go ask one of the matrons to clear the hall for our use.”
