Probably a little premature but Birds of Prey was one of the best movies I’ve watched this year and even generally in a long time. It was just so fun and there’s nothing quite like women with unique and realistic action sequences and good lines that keeps me going

Rennee Montoya

First impression: I have loved Renee and just thought she was the absolute COOLEST since the first moment I saw her. I’ve adored her and the years have only cemented that impression

Impression now: There is something very deeply personal and fulfilling for me when it comes to Renee. Her coming out story, her attitude, her progression as a character, and just the prominence she brought to LGBT issues in comics in general touch me on such a visceral level. 

Favorite moment: All of Half a Life. Just. All of it.

Idea for a story: Question solo series c ‘ m o n 

Unpopular opinion: There is something that really sits wrong with me that of Renee and Kate, Kate ended up being pushed the most and getting the solo series and so on. I mean, I love Kate, I believe this blog more than proves that, but I feel uncomfortable with the way the situation played out. Especially now that Kate has been a major hero in Gotham for a few years and Renee was disappeared for several years and brought back without her history as the Question.

Favorite relationship: Her relationship with Jim just brings me so much joy

Favorite headcanon: Renee meets Babs for coffee every weekend and has ever since Jim invited her to their apartment as a beat cop.
