With the 1 year anniversary of East Haven's opening, we have decided to have an event that centers around a wind storm that is blowing it's way through town, inciting chaos where ever it goes. The event will start on January 5th at 12pm (noon) and end on January 15th at 12am (midnight). No new starters should be posted after January 10th.

You were placed into groups that are listed below. You will be expected to write with at least one character in that group that you normally do not write with. You are still free to do other threads with others in the group, but are required to at least one.

Castro's HR Helps Twins Beat Rays!

The Minnesota Twins learned how far away they are from the crop of the American League last night. The Rays beat up on them before a late Twins comeback. Game 2 was tonight at Target Field. The Twins started the scoring in the third as Eddie Julien knocked a Zack Littell fastball out to left-center for a solo home run. The Rays answered in the fourth with a Brandon Lowe double. Josh Lowe singled him home and the game was tied at one. The Rays would add on in the fifth as Rene Pinto smacked a Joe Ryan splitter out to left for a solo homer. This put Tampa Bay up 2-1 midway through the game. Zack Littell was sailing through six innings then the Twins got back to work in the seventh. Max Kepler lined a one-out single to right and Willi Castro drilled a Littell slider out to right for a two-run homer to give the Twins the lead. The Twins bullpen ran with it as Louie Varland threw 2 1/3 shutout innings. Caleb Thielbar threw up a zero in the eighth and Jhoan Duran had a 1-2-3 ninth as the Twins beat the Rays tonight.

-Final Thoughts- Joe Ryan wasn't sharp and did just enough. He went 4 2/3 innings and allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. Louie Varland fanned three over 2 1/3 scoreless innings, Caleb Thielbar had a clean eighth, and Jhoan Duran had a perfect ninth for the save. The Twins scattered six hits and went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position. They left five men on base. The Twins will go for the series win tomorrow afternoon. Taj Bradley faces Dallas Keuchel in the series finale.
