Hi! Me again, your friendly neighborhood Sean Renard lover! I was wondering if whenever you feel like writing if you would consider writing Sean being very protective over the reader and everyone is saying to him that he’s so in lover with them and he’s like “no I’m not” and then he’s like realizing that’s he’s like in love with the reader damn near devoted. Or whatever you’d like to write. I’d honestly be happy with anything you put out. But take your time, no rush needed. Just whenever you feel like it. Thank you so much!!!! Have an awesome day!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

“Lieutenant Renard?” Sean looks up from his desk to see Cadet Drew Wu fidgeting with his button-down cuffs. He was nineteen and green in the gills, still exploring his options as a police cadet. But even though he hadn’t fully committed to the police academy yet, he was a hard worker.
He’d make a good police officer.
Sean sets down his pen and clears his throat.
“What’s the matter, Wu?” The police cadet stepped aside, and Sean’s jaw almost dropped at the sight of you. It was as if you had come straight from a painting. It seemed you hadn’t changed at all. Well… not exactly. You had aged, being a handful of years younger than him.
But you were still as beautiful as the day he lost you.
After all, the last time he had seen you was when his mother took him, and they fled from the Royal family out for his blood. You were but a fledgling that hadn’t yet sprouted in your full glory.
You both stare at each other before Wu swallows awkwardly and takes his leave. Then, you take a seat at his desk and smile,
“It’s certainly been a while, Sean.” You say quietly, and he feels his heart stutter at your warm words.
It had been years since anyone other than his mother was so full of kindness for him.
He sets down his pen and leans his forearms on the desk.
“How did you find me?” He asks seriously, and you shrug
“I have my ways. You should know this by now.” You tease, and your eyes flash a deep glowing blue for just a second. So quick, in fact, that he almost missed it. Feathers as black as pitch shuddered down your hairline before disappearing into your tresses.
Sometimes he forgot you were wesen. A Raub-Kondor, to be exact. And a brilliant one at that. You were often employed, even at a young age, by the Royal Families to track down and “take care of” certain traitors or deserters. It was how he met you in the first place. The thought of your job made him shudder,
“Are you here to get rid of me?” At this, you looked downright offended, eyes going wide and mouth dropping open ever so slightly.
“Of course not!” You hiss, and he feels his shoulders relax. He wasn’t in danger after all. You notice his palpable relief and smile that smile that makes his heart skip a beat.
The two of you part ways with the promise of meeting up for coffee. Your number is stored safely in Sean’s phone, and you even send him a text saying, “It’s me :)” and he can’t help but smile at the little emoji. You were always lighthearted despite all the blood on your hands.
Tumblr media
You shift in place, eyes scanning every face in the small coffee shop as you wait for Sean to arrive. You check your phone and scroll through the brief messages you had shared with your childhood friend. He wasn’t the best conversationalist via texting. He typically preferred a call over texts.
“Have you been waiting long?” Comes his voice, and you jump, knee jerking up and hitting the underside of the table. Your eyes meet his, and he offers a half smile, clearly amused by your reaction.
“Not at all. I just got here a few minutes ago. I took the liberty of ordering you a coffee, black with one sugar, if I remember right?” You say, ears burning at your surprise at his arrival. He sheds his long overcoat, drapes it over the chair across from the booth you were in, and takes a seat.
“You remember correctly. I’m surprised you remember after all this time.”
At that, you duck your head, ears burning even more in embarrassment.
“I try to remember everything about you.” You say quietly, so quietly that he can barely hear it. But obviously, he does because his face splits into a warm grin.
He looks so handsome when he smiles.
The waitress brings over your drinks and a slice of chocolate cake that you ordered. You visibly brighten at the sight of the sweet treat and nearly dig in when you remember your manners.
“Would you like some?” You offer, noting the waitress had gone through the trouble to give you an extra fork for the occasion. Sean, sipping his coffee, shakes his head.
“Thank you, but I’ll pass for now. I know how much you adore your sweets.” He teases and you roll your eyes, secretly happy that you get the chocolate dessert all to yourself.
The cake is absolutely demolished in a few minutes flat, though you were careful not to get any crumbs on your clothes. Then, you start on your coffee.
“I see you still are a sugar addict,” Sean says as you add sugar to your bitter drink. You huff but stir and take a sip of the sweetened beverage. Perfect.
“I prefer the term sugar motivated.” You say, and he chuckles, making your breath catch, but you hide it quickly by taking another sip.
You thought your crush on the bastard prince had died over the years.
Clearly not.
“So…” You start, and he looks up from his coffee, eyebrow raised. “How’s life here in Portland?” He hums, glancing around the coffee shop before answering.
“It’s certainly different than Vienna. But enough about me… Why are you here?” He asks, suddenly serious, and you have to fight the urge to sit up straight.
You should’ve guessed he would ask something like this. It had taken you years to track him down to the Portland area. And for what? But you knew better than to lie.
So…
You didn’t.
“I missed you. As stupid as it sounds, I missed having someone to talk to. Well… that and your mother is concerned about you joining the police department. She’s worried it’ll put a target on your back.” You say, and Sean sits back in his chair, stirring his coffee absentmindedly as he mulls over your words.
“I appreciate the concern, but I’ll be fine. I’m surrounded by good people.” He says, and you raise an eyebrow skeptically. Thankfully, Sean takes your concern seriously. He always has.
“But what if things go wrong?” You ask, and he shrugs a shoulder.
“If it makes you feel any better, you are more than welcome to stay here in Portland to keep an eye on me.” You smile at his words,
“I’d like that.”
Tumblr media
Despite your promises to keep out of the way, you quickly become absorbed into his little work family. As the years go on and the precinct grows, you are always a constant at his side. You attend his promotion ceremony from his previous ranks to precinct captain, and he holds your gaze the entire time as he gives his speech.
Even as people come up and congratulate him, he finds himself only wanting your attention. He couldn’t care less about everyone else.
He feels a smaller hand slip into his, and he looks to find you smiling up at him. He sets down his glass of champagne, still mildly embarrassed that the precinct threw this shindig for him.
“Congratulations, Sean.” You whisper, and he hides a smile, but you still catch the twitch of his lips, and your smile widens.
He’s about to say something, but you are both interrupted.
“Is this your spouse?” Hank Griffin, homicide detective, and one of the most senior staff at the department. He’s followed by the newer homicide detective and his new work partner, Nick Burkhardt. Sean huffs out a dry laugh and shakes his head,
“Nothing like that. They’re a childhood friend, that’s all.” He says, and Hank nods, not entirely convinced.
Why was everyone doing that when he introduced you? Hell, even Wu didn’t seem to believe him.
Later, Sean spies you chatting with Nick as you raid the dessert table. You’re polite, and he feels his heart clench as Nick says something to make you laugh. Feathers shift down your hairline like they did whenever you half-woged, and he sees Nick’s face drop, but he hides the expression by the time you look up from your sweets. And that makes the clenched feeling in Sean’s heart twist more.
Was he a Grimm?
He’d have to look into this more.
Tumblr media
Sean, ever the gentleman, walks you to your car after the celebration of his promotion. You, feeling adventurous, slip your hand into his and swing them back and forth ever so slightly.
Surprisingly, he doesn’t complain. He even squeezes your hand.
“I just wanted to say congratulations again.” You say as he opens your car door. You squeeze his hand once more, and he offers a quick quirk of his lips that you almost miss.
“I couldn’t have done it without you, little bird.” He says and presses a soft kiss to your knuckles. You feel your cheeks heat up and hide an embarrassed smile.
He always was the cheeky one.
Feeling a bit bold, you lean out our car window just as he leans down to presumably tell you goodbye and kiss his cheek. He freezes, eyes widening ever so slightly in shock, but he doesn’t say anything.
He remains like that as you drive away, brushing his cheek with his fingers.
You chew on your lip as you watch him disappear in your rearview mirror.
Hopefully, you didn’t mess things up by doing that.
You don’t hear from Sean for several days. And it’s making you nervous. Had you overstepped your boundaries? Had you misread the signs from all your little coffee outings?
The book in front of you failed to hold your attention as you glanced from the words on the page to the cellular device next to you. After another thirty minutes, just when you were about to give up on reading, your phone buzzed.
Buzz… buzz buzz… buzz buzz…
The book was hastily bookmarked, and you scooped up the phone and swiped right to answer the call.
“Hello?” You said, trying to seem… well… not breathless or like you were anticipating the call.
“Are you busy?” Sean asks, sounding ragged as if he had been working for three days straight.
His new promotion must be wearing him down.
“I was just reading. Is everything okay?” You ask and hear a quiet hum on the other end.
“Might I invite you to dinner tonight?” Your heart skips a beat.
Dinner… that was a step up from coffee dates.
A big step up.
You make a noise to let him know you hadn’t died at the suggestion (though you certainly felt like you were about to pass out).
“I suppose I might be free tonight. Let's say we eat at seven o’clock?” You tease him gently and hear him write something down.
“I’ll pick you up.” He says, and you can’t help but smile.
“That sounds lovely.”
Tumblr media
VIOLENCE STARTS HERE
Dinner doesn’t go as planned.
Sean’s car rumbles as he waits for you to come out of your hotel room. He had offered to let you stay with him at his new house; he had a spare bedroom after all, but you had declined. Instead, you had told him you were a big kid and could take care of yourself.
A shadow moved inside your hotel room on the second floor, and he looked up, a frown pulling his lips down. What was taking you so long? You hadn’t even responded to his text saying he had arrived. Should he call you?
He pulls up your contact and is about to press the call button when you come exploding through the window in a rain of glass and chaos.
Coincidentally, you land on the hood of his car, and his airbags deploy as you cave in the metal.
There’s someone on top of you, hands wrapped around your neck and squeezing like your life depended on it. He can see your hands going limp, and he darts from his car and draws his gun that he keeps with him at all times.
“PORTLAND PD! DON’T MOVE!” He bellows, and the person jerks their head up to look at him, eyes wild and glowing yellow.
A Mauvais Dentes.
The sabertoothed wesen leaped at him as he felt his face change in his woge.
He fired.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The man fell, his woge rippling across his skin and retracting the fangs and fur into his body until he looked like a regular man again.
Sean ran to your side, where you lay gasping on top of his car, pulling out his phone and dialing 911 as he went.
“911, what’s the location of your emergency?”
“This is Captain Sean Renard of the Portland Police Department. There’s a man who’s been killed and someone else who is gravely injured.” He started and rattled off your address, begging first responders to hurry because you looked terrible.
You had been in the middle of getting ready—a blouse stained in blood and shredded to bits, trousers, and you weren’t wearing shoes. Your throat isn’t much better. Sean can see where the Mauvais Denetes had punctured your skin, and its oozing blood at a sluggish pace. Your woge ripples under your skin and the tar-black feathers retract into your face. Your beak disappears, and when you open your eyes, they’re glassy.
“Stay with me, little bird, stay with me.” He says as he sheds his suit coat and tears it into strips to tie around your wound to hopefully staunch the bleeding.
“Sean?” You gurgle, and he hushes you,
“Don’t speak. An ambulance is on the way.” He says, and you nod once, closing your eyes again, and he listens to your breathing.
It doesn’t sound good.
He only hopes that you make it to the hospital.
Time slows. The ambulance and police arrive after what feels like hours. Blood has stained Sean’s trousers, but he doesn’t care. All that matters is you.
The first responders load you carefully into the ambulance and stop Sean before he can get in with you.
“I’m riding with them.” He snarled, and the two workers looked at each other before one stepped aside and allowed him to sit beside you. He holds your hand until they hook you up to get your vitals. You open your eyes again and wheeze,
“Sean?” You gasp, and he holds your grasping fingers.
“I’m here, little bird.” He whispers, and his heart is broken as he hears you whimper.
“Don’t leave me.” You whimper, and he stands as the ambulance rumbles into motion and presses a kiss to your forehead,
“Never.” He says and knows deep in his soul that he means it.
Because he loves you too much to let you go.

3500 Follower Celebration: Say It Again - Sean Renard x Reader (NSFW)
Tumblr media
Tagging: @kmc1989 @kabloswrld @words-and-seeds
Hitting bingo square: "I'm yours." "Say it again."
Tumblr media
It’s almost violent the way that Sean loves you. It’s a furious, rampant emotion that sears through his nerve endings as he pins you against the penthouse door. He’s still wearing his shirt but his trousers are down by his ankles, his dick buried deep inside you as he fucks you like his sanity depends on you. In a way it does, because he needs you to see how much he wants you, how deep his feelings run. You’re hitched breathing rings in his ears as you bundle his shirt in your fists, grasping at the fabric as his cock rakes over that deviant little spot inside you, the one that makes you moan like a whore.
“Do you understand how much you mean to me?” He asks you, his voice a little rough. “Do you see it?”
You tilt your head away but Sean captures your jaw, gently guiding your gaze back to his.
“Madelyn, look at me.” He whispers, his nose trailing along yours. “Look into my eyes and see that I’m yours.”
You gasp as he hits that perfect place inside of you and he holds himself there, hips rocking just a little as the pleasure begins to build to a crescendo.
“Say it again.” You breathe as his thumb ghosts over your parted lips.  “Please, I just need…”
He knows what you need. You crave the same thing that he does, security, reassurance. This whole thing tonight had started because you’d been forced to watch him with another woman, her hands on him, touching him, her lips ghosting over his skin as she whispered in his ear. He hates that he can’t be with you the way he wants to, that he can’t love as openly as a normal man could. To do so would put a target on your back and Sean, he just can’t do that, so he plays the game the same way he always has.
For both your sake and his.
“I’m yours.” He promises you, his thumb ghosting over the apple of your cheek. “For as long as you’ll have me, I always will be.”

Could you write smut of Alucard from Castlevania. Maybe light praise kink and telling the reader how well she's taking him. Definitely have Alucard eat her out and grinding against the mattress while giving head.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You taste incredible
Alucard x fem!reader
Warning(s): smut (eating out), kinks involved (praise kink)
Tumblr media
"Just like that, my dear, you're taking me so well."
The long white blonde hair man would say. With a pillow that was placed under your hips, Alucard tilts your pelvis so your feet are resting comfortably on his shoulder blades. Alucard gently pushes up on your abdomen, helping himself expose the clitoris from underneath the clitoral hood. Your legs tighten around him as he lowers himself to kiss down your thigh and slowly inch your knees higher up to make sure the friction is right. Alucard works in silence for a while, then breaks into a grin when he hears you moan. His tongue traces the outer edge of your thighs, before finding your clit again and circling it. You gasp at the jolting sensation.
Alucard is gentle with everything he does. From when you first meet him. From when you first touch his bare skin as you walk around. From when you first kiss. The man's hands move smoothly and easily, as though they've done this before and he knows exactly what to do. The vampire prince wanted to award his princess for being an amazing woman with a fantastic body. Alucard wasn't very good at giving gifts, but he did want to make you happy. So he decided he could show you how much he loved you. Not just through a physical relationship, but by showing the love in your eyes every time you look at him.
You run one of your hands through his hair, feeling the silky strands against your palm. A small groan escapes your lips, and you feel yourself getting wetter with desire.
"Do you like that?" Alucard asks in between nips on your inner thigh, his intoxicating gaze looking up at you as he watched your face contort into a blissful expression, quickly nodding as he went back to work. "You're such a treasure, my love."
Your body tingles all over, goosebumps erupting all over your skin as you let out a low moan and Alucard squeezing your legs tighter, you cohuld feel his fingers work wonders on your swollen clit. Throwing your head back and letting out a loud groan, "You're doing so good, baby, I know you can pull through." You bite your lip when Alucard removes his finger from your clit, giving it gentle kisses. His breath is hot against your skin as he moves back to sucking on your clit, your moans turning louder as Alucard continues to massage your pussy. You writhe under him, "Who’s my beautiful girl?"
"M...m...me~" You moan and clutch onto the bedsheets as you watch Alucard continuing to work on you, his tongue flicking across the tip of your clit as he sucks gently. He doesn't miss a beat. It feels like you're losing your mind. Alucard was driving you crazy with pleasure. All you could think about were his fingertips moving inside of you, and the way he sucked your clit like he owned it, even when he knew it would get hard. It felt too good not to enjoy. You needed more. More stimulation. You needed him.
The rough movements you felt against yourself made you slowly come back to reality, your cloudy thoughts fading away until you realized your fiancé grinding against the bed, his eyes glazed with lust. It was only reasonable for him to pleasure himself while doing the same to his darling.
You squeal and try to sit up straight, pushing away his head, your pussy now drenched and a throbbing mess. You watched as Alucard's pupils dilate, he watches you with hungry eyes, the muscles in his jaw clenching, and the bulge in his boxers making you squirm. It looked like Alucard was ready to explode, but he couldn't restrain himself for any longer.
He moved in front of you, leaning down to capture your mouth in a heated kiss. You kissed him back, wrapping your arms around his neck as your hands caress his shoulders. This was it. This was it all you've been waiting for. You both finally had your moment after months of not being able to. "Mmh, Alucard, please… please…"
Alucard didn't even need to position yourself on the bed. Your pussy soaked and exposed, legs high up and bent, an exhausted expression on your face was all he needed.
"Take it for me, I know you can. I'm going to make sure everyone knows you're mine~"

Hello there may I request a gender who gets sugar rushes once they're on it they're just all over the place running up and down or just getting into shenanigans such as causing mischief or just being silly. Can this be with the Vox Machina and Castlevania/Nocturne.
Sure!
Masterlist 11
Alucard
He’s watching you with a half exasperated, half “they’re cute when they ramble-talk” expression
Trevor
Either he unknowingly gave you all that sugar or did it on purpose just to see how hyper you get for his amusement
Sypha
That’s it! No more sugar for you! That is, until the next time you see her and she’s just as hyper
Greta
She has to keep you from wandering off yet at the same she’s eyeing that candy too like “hmmm….maybe just one piece…”
Richter
He’s just as hyper as you, even without the candy, and encourages your antics
Dracula and Lisa
Drac himself is exasperated with your pranks and Lisa can only have so much patience before she’s like “ok that’s enough for today”
Lenore
Vampires don’t get as hyper as humans do but she thinks it’s naively cute seeing you like this, feeling a small sugar rush herself form your blood
Hector
He’s watching you flit around, trying not to laugh, but can help but burst into a fit of giggles with how you act with the Undead animals
Maria
She’s just naturally hyper and giggling like crazy seeing you high on sugar
Annette
She can’t help but laugh at some of the things you say but also tries to keep you from overdoing it on the pranks

Y/N: Stop looking down at me.
Sean: I am taller than you, of course I look down at you.
Wu: Maybe you better put some inches in her than.
Y/N (blushing): Would you stop hitting on me on his behalf?
Sean: I am perfectly capable of ‘hitting on’ Y/N without your help.

For His Sake
Relationship: Sean Renard x Reader, Nick Burkhardt x Sister!Reader
Fandom: Grimm
Request: Yes by Anon
Warnings: Fluff, Angst, Mentions of Violence and Blood

Main Masterlist: Here
Grimm Masterlist: Here
Summary: A Grimm and a zauberbiest can never get along… right?
Tumblr media
I know not all that may be coming, but be it what it will, I'll go to it laughing.
In a quiet, sterile white lab, a woman sat hunched over a microscope. She was so deeply invested in her work that she did not notice that the door had been disturbed. The soft thudding of boots across the hard flooring did not reach her ears, nor did the calling over her name. However, when a hand was placed on her shoulder, the woman jumped, and spun the person around. Their face pressed against the cold, smooth table she had been working on, with their arm at an uncomfortable angle, threatening to break.
“Whoa! It’s okay, sis. Just us. You can let the captain go now.” Turning her head, her brother’s face greeted her, and below was the face of her boss. She immediately let go of the other man and leveled her sights on her brother.
“Couldn’t have knocked, Nicky?” She scoffed, turning back to whatever it was that she was examining.
“We did. Multiple times. And, before you ask, yes. We also called your name out. What are you so invested in over there?” Nick made his way over to where his sister had sat back down again. Their captain stood and was rubbing his right arm to ease the ache.
“I thought we were friends, Ms. Burkhardt.” Sean teased, finally getting some feeling back in his arm.
“Don’t sneak up on me and we wont have that problem.” Her voice was clipped, clearing not in the mood to entertain anyone at the moment. “To answer you, Nicky, I’m looking at some bacteria samples from a Vic that was brought in. They want a cause of death, and I would bet money that this guy injected some contaminated water. But I’ll have to watch for the tox screen to show up to make a full determination.”
“Well, that’s exciting. I guess. Listen, we got a tox screen that we need you to look at because it will cause to much attention going to someone else. What are we dealing with here?” The detective passed his sister a sheet and she scanned over it for a few minutes.
“Latroinsectotoxin. You’ve got a spinnetod on your hands. Kind of shocking considering how rare they are.” Passing the paper back, the woman dusted her hands off on her coat, and tried to go back to her work. But before she could, her brother caught her arm.
“One last thing, we’re going out tonight. Join us? Please.” Nick pleaded.
“Who’s all going?”
“Hank, Wu, Captain, Monroe and Rosalee. Then you and me. Come on, Rosalee is dying to see you again.”
The female Burkhardt was nodding back and forth, as if she was weighing her options literally. Silence kept ticking on which made her brother grow more and more nervous. It had been a really long time since they got to hang out with friends; her more so than him. She was always so busy with work and never seemed to have the time. Not to mention the fact that she made it very known her stance on Sean.
“Fine. But only for a few. I’ve got work in the morning.” With her concession to her brother’s plea, he bounced excitedly in his spot before wrapping his arms around his sister.
“Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I swear you’re going to have a great time. Rosalee’s going to be so excited.” Nick began to walk out of the lab but only stopped when he did not hear a second set of footsteps following his. Turning around, he noticed that Sean and his sister were still standing there in silence, neither one quite knowing where to go from there.
“Captan, you coming?” He called out, breaking the taller man from his trance.
“Coming Nick.” Sean replied, letting his eyes stay on the other Burkhardt till he could no longer. If his staring had affected her, she did not let it show. She simply turned back to her work like nothing had ever happened. Nick supposed that this was better than her sending threatening glares towards the man; as she had been known to do in the past.
Later that day, Nick sent his sister a text of when and where to meet everyone. She was dreading going home and changing to go out. Not because she did not like to go out, because she did on occasion. But it was because Sean Renard was going to be there. If you had asked her even a year ago where she thought she would stand on the man, it would be a completely different answer. There was no longer any hostility from her, but definitely some trepidation. A zauberbiest working with a couple of Grimms was not how she had imagined her life to be going. And yet, there was something about Sean that she found intriguing.
Maybe it was his stature, the way he carried himself and projected his image. Or maybe it was the fact that he had not killed the Burkhardt’s when he found out they were Grimms. Whatever it was, she would never admit out loud that she found it interesting. For now, she remained cordial with him, purely for the sake of the workplace and her brother.
She parked her car along the street in front of the bar that they were all meeting at, and was pleasantly surprised to see that she was not the first one there. Monroe, Rosalee, Sean and Wu were already inside with a drink in hand when she opened the door. At the arrival of someone new, Rosalee stood and raced over like lightening to hug the new member of the party.
“Oh I’m so glad you could make it. We’ve missed you. Come one, have a drink.” She led the both of them over to a table in the corner. Rosalee was then replaced with her husband who hugged the female Burkhardt tight. By the time that she had ordered her first drink, Hank and Nick had shown up. Another round of greetings and hugs went around before the gang settled in for the night.
It had been a calm few weeks in terms of wesen. They had the odd killing here and there, but very little in wesen politics had actually occurred. It was a delightful change of pace. They laughed and caught up on what had been happening in the last few weeks. Throughout all of this, Nick’s sister was keeping a cordial stance towards Sean. But Sean was trying to interact with her. Every time he tried, something came up that prevented it.
He tried to get her to laugh, but all that was managed was a small smile. Sean refocused his efforts into keeping that smile on her face, but it dissolved into a grin the longer the night went on. Renard was not even sure why he was trying to get and keep her attention, but he had to have it.
“Alright, well I’m getting another drink. Do you want another on, hun?” Rosalee asked rubbing her shoulder gently.
“Yeah, another glass of wine please.” She passed her glass to the Fuchsbaus and watch as Rosalee and Monroe went up to the bar.
“I’m going to hit the head real quick. Be right back.” Hank declared, getting up as well. Wu followed him without a word and left the three at the table. Sensing the tension at the table, Nick stood.
“I’m getting another drink.” He went to go join Monroe and Rosalee at the bar, leaving his captain and his sister alone at the table. With no drink to distract herself, she began picking at her nails.
“How was your day?” Sean asked after a few minutes.
“Good. Yours?” She replied politely.
“Good.” He responded. Sean took a sip of his whiskey as they slipped back into silence.
“Do I make you uncomfortable?” The question came out of nowhere as they sat.
“What?” Her head shot up as he spoke, not quite catching what he said. Sean repeated his question.
“Oh, no. It’s not to do with you. I mean, it does a little but it’s mostly me.” He waited for a moment for her to continue on her explanation.
“Because of how we grew up, Nick and I have always been cautious and hesitant to trust someone. And with what we are, and what you are, well. I’m a little weary of you, captain.” She paused for a moment, desperately wishing she had a drink.
“A Grimm and zauberbiest?”
“Yeah. It’s nothing personal, captain.”
“Sean.” There was a pause.
“What?” She asked.
“You can call me Sean. We’re not at work.” Hs teasing little smirk made her feel something inside. Part of her wanted to see it more, the other wanted to slap it right off of his face. At that moment, everyone decided to come back to the table.
Hank and Wu were talking about something as they exited the bathrooms. Monroe, Rosalee, and Nick were also engaged in a conversation as they neared the table. Her brother passed her glass of wine back, and she eagerly took a sip.
“Hope we didn’t leave you two lovebirds alone too long.” Wu drawled, his face deadpan.
“Hey. That’s my sister.” Nick grumbled, even though his eyes were flickering between the two. Before she could respond to anyone, a phone rang out. It took a moment to react, but eventually she realized that it was her own.
“Excuse me.” She stood from her chair, and went to walk out of the front door. Sean’s eyes refused to leave her figure no matter how much he knew it would draw attention.
“Hello?” The phone clicked as she answered the call. A cool night breeze hit her in the face as she stepped outside of the bar.
“Hello?” She tried again.
“Count your days, Grimm.” A voice on the other end of the line growled. She gulped down the knot that was forming in her throat, and looked around in vigilance.
“Who is this?” There was only silence on the phone while she waited for an answer.
“See you soon, Grimm.” The line went dead. Burkhardt had clenched her jaw as she dropped her phone from her ear. There was a scuffle right behind her, but when she turned to catch what it was, something came in a clocked her across the face.
Falling to her knees, she tried to right her blurry vision in order to save herself. But another kick came in and hit her right across the ribs. It knocked her wind out of her lungs. A fist went to go connect with her face again, however, she grabbed it and yanked the person down. Standing, she was able to fix herself proper before the real event began.
A blutbad, skalengeck, and a klaustreich stood around her; and they looked angry. As she maneuvered around their hits and swipes, she tried to keep her back to the alley’s brick wall. The skalengeck held her hands and tried to bit her neck, but a push kick to his gut halted the movement. It allowed for the klaustriech to come in and swipe at her body with its sharpened claws. He managed to nick her arms with the tips, but the offending arm was twisted behind his back to the breaking point.
But while she was focused on those two, the blutbad managed to sneak up behind her. Burkhardt howled in pain as a bit was delivered to her shoulder. The Grimm slammed the blutbad into the brick wall behind them, causing it to disengage. Turning, she threw one, two, and three hits to the temples of the wesen. It dropped unconscious in the alley, and she turned her focus to the remaining two wesen.
The klaustriech tried again to swipe at the Grimm with its one good arm. She remained outside of his range, and kicked in his knee. It crumpled down in pain, now with a broken leg, and broken arm. Before she could render the man unconscious like his blutbad counterpart, a set of arms came up to grab her. She had failed to eliminate the skalengeck, which was proving unfortunate for her. Thankfully the klaustriech stayed down while she dealt with the other. However, his arm was cutting off her airways which made it difficult for her to fight back.
All of the sudden, her airways opened back up now that it did not have something constricting it. Couching and hacking as she tried to regain her breath, she turned to see Nick, Hank, and Monroe. Just behind them and coming in hot, was Sean, Wu, and Rosalee. Nick and Hank were busy cuffing up the three assailants while Monroe turned to help the female Burkhardt.
“Hey. Are you okay?” Monroe scanned his eyes over her form, taking in every injury and scratch.
“Yeah, I’m…” but she never could finish that sentence. Before anyone could react, she had fallen down in the middle of the alley. Monroe tried to catch her, but it only resulted in them crouching down together. Sean and Rosalee ran over to help keep the other Burkhardt from falling completely, while the three officers called in the attack.
“Is she okay? What’s going on?” Nick ran over to his sister who was unconscious.
“She’s got a nasty bit on her shoulder. Who has blood on their mouth?” Rosalee looked as she questioned. Monroe joined in her search and sniffed deeply.
“This one,” they came across one of the perps with blood on her mouth, “she’s a blutbad. Oh. That’s not good.”
“What is it? What can we do?” Nick was about to be sent into a full blown panic over his sister, who was now in Sean’s arms as the others were busy.
“Well, if my nose is right, and it usually is, then we need to get her to the spice shop. They have a poison all over their mouths. All three.” His grim assessment was enough to send Nick into his full blown panic. He was flittering about, trying to decide where he was needed most. Red and blue lights flashed as they neared the alleyway.
“Nick. Nick!” Rosalee barked, catching his attention. “Deal with the cops. Get these guys arrested. We’re going to take her to the spice shop to treat the poison, and then we’re taking her to the hospital. Buy us some time.”
The male Grimm nodded and tried to get his mind in gear. He watched Monroe, Rosalee, and Sean carry his sister off to their car. Renard stayed in the background with the female Burkhardt as Monroe nearly broke every traffic law to get them to the shop. If they had not been in such dire straits, Sean definitely would have said something.
In the spice shop, the bed was immediately put to use to house the woman that had yet to awaken from the sleep she had slipped in to. Sean remained at her side and brushed her hair from her face. As he did, he noticed that she was growing paler and sweating more than before. Monroe and Rosalee’s voices faded into background noise as they tried to find a cure for the poison affecting their friend. In the meantime, Renard held her hand and kept his eyes on her breathing.
By the time the couple had found the cure, the other three members of their party had arrived. Nick had rushed over to his sister’s other side and held her hand. Hank and Wu stood nearby, offering help and morale support.
“Damn it!” Rosalee exclaimed after a while. Everyone’s head shot up and looked over to where the married couple was busy mixing ingredients.
“What’s going on?” Nick pressured, standing up but not letting his sister’s hand go.
“Ugh,” she growled, “I should have read the recipe better. It requires blood from a Hexenbiest or zauberbiest because of the magical properties in the blood. I’m such an idiot.”
“Will it work with something else?” Nick was scared for his sister now.
“No. it has to be blood from one of those two. There’s nothing I can do to substitute it. I’m sorry, Nick.” Rosalee lamented. Her hands rubbed over her face and through her hair in frustration over the entire fiasco. Monroe pulled his wife in close as she tried not to let tears fall from her eyes.
“Will it work with half?” Sean suddenly said, without taking his eyes off of the unconscious Grimm.
“It might. Better than nothing.” Rosalee turned to face the man. He stood, looked at her one last time, and went over to the couple. Renard was already rolling up his sleeves so as to not get them more stained than they already were. The fuchsbau prepared a small knife, and slice the tip of the man’s finger. He winced, but that was all he showed in discomfort. Once she had what she needed, Rosalee went about mixing the salve and liquid that she needed to give.
“Okay. I’m going to put one on the wound itself, and another she has to drink. Just be ready.” Rosalee instructed, bringing a bowl over in her hands. Her husband stood behind her with a bowl in his own hand. Everyone held their breath as she deposited a liquid of sorts on to her shoulder. Sean resumed his spot on her right side, while Nick sat by her left. Monroe passed the second bowl, and watched as Nick held open her mouth. Rosalee poured the liquid into her mouth; and everyone waited.
“How long is this supposed to take?” Nick asked, keeping his eyes on his sister.
“With full blood, it’s supposed to be immediate. But with half, I’m not sure.” Rosalee admitted. Everyone sat there in silence and watching the woman that was resting on the bed. No one chose to draw attention to the fact that Renard was still holding her hand the entire time.
It took an hour for anything to happen. First it was little hand twitches that alerted the two men, who then alerted the others. Then it was facial movements. And finally, a deep breath was taken, and her eyes began to flutter. She groaned as the light from beside her head blinded her, to which Sean immediately shut off.
“Wha- what’s going on?” Her speech was slurred, but the relief that came across everyone’s face was infectious.
“Hey, sis. How are you feeling?” Nick leaned over and brushed some hair out of her face.
“Like I got hit by a truck. What happened?” Her speech was starting to become clearer and clearer as she became more in touch with the waking world.
“You got attacked. By the looks of it, it was Black Claw. You’re lucky to be alive.” Sean commented. Their hands were still joined together, but no one cared at that moment.
“They had poisoned you with a bite to your shoulder area. We had to create a salve and potion that reversed the effects. It’s a good thing Sean was here with us, otherwise… well, let’s not think about that.” Rosalee piped up from where her and Monroe stood. He had his arms wrapped around his wife in a comforting embrace, and a relieved look on his face.
“Why would it matter if Sean was here?” She asked, trying to raise her body up in the bed. Nick and Sean helped her sit up and refused to let her go.
“Well,” Monroe looked around for someone else who wanted to answer. No one was itching for that position. “The recipe required the blood of a Hexenbiest or zauberbiest. Since he’s half, he was our best shot. I’m going to make some tea for everyone. It’s bee a stressful night. Glad you’re awake.”
And with that, Monroe and Rosalee left. Hank came over and patted her uninjured shoulder, before leaving to follow the couple. Wu smiled and gave her a thumbs up before catching up with Hank.
“Hey,” her attention was drawn over to her brother. “I’m glad you’re alright.”
Nick left the pair of them with a smile and a kiss to her drying forehead. He went to go where the rest of them had gone, and that only left Sean and the other Burkhardt. They sat in silence for a while, but did not let go of their hands throughout all of it.
“Did you really use your blood to heal me?” She asked in a quiet voice eventually. Sean’s face tried to remain neutral, but a worry creeped in.
“It was the only way for Rosalee to heal you.” He answered, but she was not going to take that.
“That’s not what I asked.” Her statement was far more direct.
“Yes. I did.” Finally, Sean stated.
“Thank you. I appreciate it.” Her other hand began to fidget as they continued to sit there.
“You’re welcome.” His voice raspy and low. Her eyes drifted over to the hand that Sean had occupied and squeezed. They did not speak, but they both had come to a mutual understanding. Perhaps this could morph into something else. Something closer than they had before.

the mystery woman. ( sean renard x reader )
Tumblr media
gif belongs to me
Adalind was stunned by the time Diana finished explaining her drawing. In the center was her, surrounded by Nick, herself, Sean, and "Daddy's girlfriend" who had never been mentioned until now. She wasn't shocked that Sean had a woman in his life, as the Captain always seemed to have someone floating in his life before he distanced himself in favor of a physical relationship rather than an emotional one. But from Diana's explanation, it seemed Sean had kept you around for a record-breaking amount of time and Adalind had to admit she was curious about who you were and why after nearly eight months, she was only hearing about your relationship now.
"I can take you to her if you want." Diana smiled, "She works at the bakery downtown, and keeps a table reserved just for me."
Adalind knew there would be a fight if Sean realized she was looking into his private life - their civility only surrounded matters involving their daughter. Anything else was an instant battle of wits, insults flying across the room at breakneck speed. But from Diana's expression, there was no choice. They had to go to the bakery.
The blonde looked around as she followed Diana inside. It was filled with mouth-watering scents and a cozy atmosphere - friendly given how many knew Diana who greeted them politely before pushing her way to the front of the line.
"Diana -"
"Hi, Y/N!" The young girl beamed when you exited the kitchen with a tray of freshly baked cookies. You set them on the counter ready to be drizzled in chocolate and dusted your hands on your apron, sending Diana a bright smile.
"Well, howdy, princess." You greeted, holding your apron as you curtseyed much to Diana's amusement. You spotted Adalind who glanced at her daughter, meeting your gaze with a raised eyebrow, but your smile never faltered. "Hi, you must be Adalind. It's great to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you."
Adalind shook your hand, "I haven't heard a word about you."
"He isn't much of a sharing person. But then again, neither am I." You looked at Diana who was eyeing the freshly baked cookies, knowing it was your recipe. And ever since you had baked cookies to pass the time until her father returned home from work, attempting to bond with the young princess who was wary of you at first, she was always eager for more. "How about you two take a seat and I can bring you something over? On the house, of course."
Adalind ordered coffee while Diana chose a muffin, and insisted her mother should try it. You smiled as they headed to the table that was empty all day for staff breaks, or surprise family visits like today, ensuring they always had a seat. You entered the kitchen as Sean entered the bakery, his gaze dancing around the room until they landed on Diana and Adalind, who agreed with her daughter that the muffin was the best she ever had. It was clear to the blonde how much Diana liked you, and given her past with her father's 'girlfriends' it was nothing short of a miracle which only added to her intrigue.
He approached the table and Diana greeted her father whose narrowed eyes were focused on Adalind. "What are you doing here?"
"Eating a muffin." Adalind shrugged.
She knew there was more he wanted to say, but he wouldn't with Diana around, nor with so many witnesses. But his glare spoke volumes about how he felt about her presence in the bakery, his grip on the back of the chair tightening as he controlled his temper.
"Diana told me about her, and I was curious." She explained. "That's it."
You approached the table, and Sean stood straighter, turning as you set a mug of coffee on the table. You set a glass down next to Diana who thanked you.
"You're welcome." You looked at Sean, "Anything for you, Captain? Pumpkin Spice? Ooh, nutmeg?"
Sean shook his head, "Coffee."
You rolled your eyes although Adalind knew it was in jest. "As black as your soul, got it."
The blonde looked at Sean when he sat down, but his focus was on watching you return behind the counter to brew his coffee. Diana chose this moment to show him her drawing and he could see how much she had matured this past year - before she would have killed you and Nick for keeping him and Adalind apart, but now she valued the large family she had. And seeing her parents happy, even when it wasn't together, she learned to accept it.
"So how did you meet?" Adalind spoke up.
Sean chose to be vague in his reply, hoping she would back off, "I come here for coffee sometimes."
But Diana hadn't noticed the tension between them, offering more information than he was willing to give. "He comes here every day. Morning, lunch, and after work."
Adalind raised an amused eyebrow, "Is that right?"
Diana nodded. "That's how they met. Y/N moved here a year ago and took over the bakery." You caught her gaze and waved her over, and she grinned, leaving to choose a cookie to decorate.
Sean looked away from a smirking Adalind, his eyes scanning the counter finding you weren't there. She observed the way he searched for you and her smirk faltered, her eyes widening in surprise.
"I never thought I'd live to see the day Sean Renard fell in love."
He rolled his eyes and opened his mouth to respond harshly when Diana returned with you a few steps behind. You held out his coffee and he thanked you, his posture tensing under the untrained eye - but Adalind had known him for a long time and could see how protective he was over you.
You rested your hands on his shoulders, standing behind his chair, and Adalind noticed the way his gaze softened, a smile on your lips as you arranged with Diana to stock ingredients this weekend during her stay with Sean so the three of you could bake together.
"You're living together?" Adalind spoke louder than she intended, stunned at the news.
"Uh-huh. But only for two weeks. Although it feels longer." Adalind smiled when you looked at Sean who raised an eyebrow at your answer, "I'm kidding," You squeezed his shoulders and his lips tugged upwards at the gesture.
She finished her coffee, thanking you as she got to her feet. "We should get going."
Diana pouted, but after being reassured that she would see you soon, she followed her mother who sent you a small smile.
"It was nice meeting you."
"You too." She truly meant that.
You looked at Sean when the two blondes left, "Those two are scarily alike."
"Tell me about it." He sighed, and you noticed the drawing on the table. "Diana drew it." He explained when you picked it up. "That's why Adalind came here, to find out who you were."
You smiled down at the drawing before meeting his gaze, "Does this mean I can sleep peacefully without fear that she will try to kill me?" Sean had once told you about how she had killed his mistress, and after explaining that your relationship with her father was different, she had many questions about how you started dating and if you were going to hurt him. She was protective over her parents and from the story he told you about the murder, Diana was the last person you wanted to upset. It took a while to get used to her powers, but Sean could see that your initial apprehension became curiousness and then admiration and he knew how protective you were of his daughter.
Sean chuckled, "I'd say so." He placed a hand on your back and you stepped into his side, smiling down at him. "Why don't we have dinner tonight? Eat in. Grants a little privacy."
You nodded, "We could double date."
Immediately his expression changed and you giggled behind the drawing, watching as he relaxed, realizing you weren't serious.
"What did you have in mind?" You asked.
"Let's just say, that I've enjoyed having you all to myself. And I'm not ready to share just yet."
You leaned down to kiss him softly, placing a hand on his cheek. His cell phone rang and he groaned when you pulled away. "It could be important." You reasoned with a smile.
He sighed as he answered the call, and you picked up Adalind's empty coffee mug, looking at him when he stood. "There's been a development on a case."
You sent him a smile, nodding to show you understood. "Okay."
"I could ignore it and we could head home early..." He whispered suggestively and you bit the inside of your cheek.
"We both know we'd never make it home, and I'd rather my regulars didn't see me naked in a steamed-up car."
He grunted quietly in agreement. "I'll pick you up after work?"
"Sounds great." Your smile elicited a genuine smile from him, which wasn't common when he was out in the open where his enemies could see. He had explained it all to you, his past and the threats he still faced, and you understood his reasons for keeping your relationship a secret as did Adalind who had observed you both for less than twenty minutes. It was for your protection. "I love you."
He mouthed his reciprocation and you closed your eyes when he kissed you. "I'll see you tonight."
"I'll be counting down the minutes." You teased as he headed to the door with his takeaway cup of coffee. After he entered the bakery for the first time since you took over you had learned to brew his perfect cup of coffee and he found himself ditching the instant coffee at the precinct in favor of seeing you and buying a decent cup of coffee.
Sean looked back at you as he walked out and you smiled before heading to the kitchen to check on the pastries you were baking. You pinned the drawing with a magnet and smiled softly before getting back to work, checking the clock now and then with excitement as your date grew closer.

Lilith!Reader and the Nocturne Crew
It's always disguised as needing everyone to be okay, because the crew can't defeat Bathory if they're hurt.
So you'll hunt for them to eat.
Patch them up when they're hurt.
Generally give advice.
One day Maria, understandably sour given what happened to her mother, tells you you're not her mother. Before storming off after you said her plan was reckless.
Those words hurt more than you expected.
You'd never be caught dead admitting the party felt like your own children.
Perhaps it was filling the hole left after your own were gone.
Richter wasn't trusting of it all. But you could tell he craved the comfort a mother could provide.
And how he'd subconsciously seek it from you.
It was endearing, really.
Annette was always the one to know how you truly felt.
She just accepted what you had to give.
Rarely did she refuse your care, there was some kind of unspoken understanding that came from her.
Overtime, you just knew you were in trouble. Because you wouldn't lose them, you wouldn't lose anymore children.
Bonus:
Mizrak is definitely the father figure. He and Reader act like divorced parents.

Also, choosing a wesen for these stories is hard.
Sean might be out of character here but I am not gonna go back and change it if he is. I like this story as it is.

UNREAL UNEARTH - HOZIER WRITING CHALLENGE MASTERLIST
------------------------
I had many concerns about my job.
Being a journalist naturally came with many questions. Mainly about morality. What was the line between a necessary story and sensationalism? How far could you take a story before you were exploiting someone? What would you be able to do if it meant getting a story in its entirety?
I had done fairly well avoiding being on the wrong side of those questions.
There had been one exception.
Early on in my time in Portland, I had been assigned to stories that were almost exclusively about criminal cases. Whether it was an investigation or a court case, it was clear that there was a space that my boss wanted me to be in.
During this, I found myself interacting more and more with Captain Renard of Portland's South Precinct. Everything after that felt like it had spiraled wildly out of control. What was a professional relationship turned into Sean and I having something close to a friendship. And then that friendship became something very different that was very unprofessional.
I could remember being so scared at first. Not even that my feelings would be unrequited, but that said feelings would cost me my job somehow. I enjoyed what I did. The last thing that I wanted was to be moved because of my stupid decisions.
After some time, and far too many long conversations, Sean and I found something that worked for us. My boss was much kinder than I expected. I was told that my decisions were my own, but if a bias began to show in my work, then I was going to be sent to work on a different subject. Integrity was important in this industry. I was willing to do whatever was necessary for that, so I understood the threat of keeping a closer eye on the stories that I wrote.
And I never truly found myself questioning my choices again after that. I was able to work with the knowledge that I was trusted by others and myself. That I knew what was okay and what wasn't.
And then, one moment made me have to reconsider everything that I knew.
One moment had left me scrambling to figure out what was right again. It had me questioning my relationships and my family and all knowledge I had of the world around me.
And it all started outside the very precinct that had been the source of my last moral dilemma.
I was standing to the side with my camera. I had gotten word that the cops were bringing in a suspect in a recent murder case. I was simply there to get a photo for my article. I wasn't going to interfere or say a word.
I wasn't the only one there either. There were plenty of other photographers and journalists who were there to get the same story that I was. It wasn't a new pattern for any of us. All of us were used to seeing each other there.
That's to say that there was no reason that anything should have been different or weird or scary about that night. No logical reason anyway.
Everything had been going in the regular pattern of events. The detectives had shown up with the suspect, pulled him out of the car, and started walking into the precinct with him. I was off to the side with the other members of the media, snapping a few photos of the man in the hopes of getting a clear image of his face.
My camera's flash must have caught his attention better than the others. That's the only reason he would have ever looked at me in the first place.
He then acted like he was going to lunge at me, attempting to intimidate me. I wasn't going to flinch until I saw something that I couldn't fully explain.
His face morphed in front of me, taking on some kind of cat-looking... thing. He stopped, almost immediately turning back into his human form. He looked just as scared as I felt.
"There are two of you," he asked. I furrowed my eyebrows. I had no idea what he was talking about.
I found one of the detectives staring at me. He looked as if something in his head was clicking into place before he continued to push the suspect into the precinct. I was certain that all he saw looking back at him was fear.
I looked across the crowd of reporters, many of whom had seemingly missed the subjects concerning comment. Except for one. I found the eyes of a friend of mine, only to watch her face morph as soon as I did. She was different than the suspect that had been brought in. More similar to a beaver than anything else. She gasped before turning around to quickly walk away from me.
"Wait!" I took off after her. It seemed to only scare her more as she started running faster. "Hey! Hold on!"
She yelped as I touched her arm. "Please don't kill me!"
"What?" I replied. "We've known each other for ages; why would I kill you?"
"Because you're one of them... you're a Grimm!"
"What are you talking about?"
"Just please, leave me alone! I haven't done anything wrong!"
"I'm not-"
I didn't get to respond before she ran off again. I didn't have the energy to chase her again. I felt tears well up in my eyes. I put my hand over my mouth for a moment.
I was convinced that I was going insane.
All I could think to do was to go home and hope that this was all some kind of nightmare or that it would all pass on its own. I took my phone out of my pocket and called Sean.
Now, I could've told him the truth. I could've told him that I was scared and unsure about what I was seeing. But in the moment, glancing frantically around the street with tears in my eyes, I found myself frozen. Any confession I wanted to make fell flat and useless.
"(Y/n)?" I let out a small sigh of relief when I heard Sean on the other end.
"Hey," I said, trying to sound like I wasn't on the verge of some kind of breakdown. "I know you're busy, but I just wanted to let you know that I think I'm gonna stay at my place tonight. Alone."
"Are you okay," he asked. Ever the perceptive man.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just tired and I have a lot of work to do. I'll call you later, okay?"
"Alright," he muttered.
"Love you," I added, forcing a cheery tone into my voice as much as I could.
"Love you too."
Sean still sounded suspicious. I couldn't blame him. I wasn't the best actor; subtly was never something that I was praised for. But I couldn't focus on whether or not he believed me. I needed to get home.
I tried to do some work when I got there. I piddled away on my computer, churning out a story that felt completely pointless and read like a middle schooler wrote it. I still had to send it off, hoping that the editor would aid in making it sound more coherent in time for it to go to press.
Sleep proved to be an even more difficult feat than writing a coherent article. I tossed and turned all night. The few moments that I managed to fall into some kind of uneasy sleep, I would be jolted awake by the vision of that man I saw outside the precinct. His reaction to me and my reaction to him. And that detective that had stared at me.
This pattern continued for days.
At first, it was fine. I could pretend that I had a long night. But that excuse couldn't last forever, especially when I had an obnoxiously observant partner who was checking in on me whenever he had a moment to do so.
As time went on, I found myself with less and less of an excuse. Sean was suspicious. He could tell something was wrong but wouldn't simply confront me. I could tell that he could tell that something was wrong, but I refused to say a word because I knew that I could've been wrong. I had just been hiding in my apartment and faking that I was perfectly fine for ages.
I was beginning to see those creatures at work. My boss was noticing the weird looks and new tense relationships that were forming out of seemingly nowhere. I couldn't hide it forever. I was going to lose my job if I was determined to be the cause of the workplace hostility. None of those who had turned in front of me would talk to me anymore, so it's not like I could ask them to explain what was happening.
I was already struggling with no real family. Most of my relatives had either passed away years ago or just never made themselves known. Even my parents. My dad had run for the hills and my mom couldn't raise me alone, so I had spent years navigating the foster care system. Now, I was losing friends and colleagues. I was convinced that I was about to lose my partner because I assumed that he thought I was cheating on him or something. It was all becoming too much for me to deal with on my own.
It was maybe a week before I found myself at Sean's door. He had buzzed me up, so he knew I was coming. He was standing at the front door, waiting for me with a concerned look on his face.
I felt my eyes welling up with tears as soon as I saw him. He pulled me into a hug, slowly guiding me inside and closing the door behind him.
"I think I'm going crazy," I said as I tried to stop myself from sobbing.
He moved back so he could look me in the eye. "What's going on?"
"I... I keep seeing things," I explained. "People are... They keep turning into these... things- creatures- I don't know..."
I buried my face in my hands.
I felt his hands touch my arms.
"You're not crazy," he muttered. "I promise."
"Then what's happening to me?" I looked at him again.
He paused. I watched his face. Concern turned into something that I could only describe as guilt. I felt a new fear settling in as I took a few steps away from him.
"Sean...," I mumbled. "Did you do something to me?"
Maybe it was the exhaustion or just the desperate need for answers. I couldn't think of a time when I felt a need to question him like that. He was good to me. Maybe a little rough around the edges, but I thought he was a good man.
But in that moment, I was convinced that anything was possible.
"No, no," he insisted. "I wouldn't-"
"But you know what it is?"
"Yes."
"Then, tell me."
"You may not believe it."
"A lot has changed in the last few days; you don't know what I'd believe."
He took a deep breath. "I believe that you're a Grimm."
"Okay...," I replied. "I've heard that word before. There's a colleague... I thought we were friends. She- Her face turned in front and then she ran off. She said that she didn't want me to kill her. When I asked why she thought I would, she called me a Grimm."
"You're different than most," he explained. "You can see things more clearly than the average person. Those creatures you're seeing are called Wesen. What you saw that woman do was woge."
"The suspect your detectives brought in a few days ago..."
"To my knowledge, he was a Klaustreich."
"Okay..." I mumbled. "Why me?"
"It follows a bloodline. It doesn't affect everyone. It can skip a whole generation. It's all a question of if it will happen at all."
I nodded. "The man said, 'There are two of you' when he saw me and one of your detectives gave me a strange look. I've only talked to him once or twice; I can't remember his name."
"Detective Burkhardt?"
"Yes, that's it." I snapped my fingers together and pointed at Sean.
"He's also a Grimm."
"So we're... related."
"In some capacity. Bloodlines only get messier as time goes on."
"Are you part of the bloodline?"
"No," he almost looked like he was tempted to chuckle.
"What? That seemed the logical conclusion. You know a lot about this."
"It's nothing that you did," he promised. "Sorry. This is a serious conversation."
"So... Why do you know so much about this if you're not part of the bloodline?"
It was the first question that Sean had hesitated to answer since I had first gotten there. I felt another wave of unease hit me. There was something here. Something that was so monumental that it almost seemed to scare him.
"That might take some time to explain," Sean said after a few moments.
"I have all the time in the world." I crossed my arms over my chest and raised an eyebrow at him.
"Centuries ago-"
"Holy shit."
"I told you," he replied. I held my hands up. "Centuries ago, seven houses were formed. Seven royal families. They held- and still hold- mass amounts of power and wealth throughout the world. I am technically part of one of those families."
"You're a prince?"
"Technically," he explained. "I was the result of an affair. They chased my mother and me all the way to the United States."
"All because you were the result of an affair?"
"There's a bit more to it than just the affair. My mom was a Hexenbiest. A type of Wesen. As a result, I ended up being half-Zauberbiest, which is just the male form of the same thing. Having an affair with a Hexenbiest that resulted in a Zauberbiest was what led to the uproar.
"The royal families are not commonly fond of Wesen. Hexenbiest and Zauberbiest can be an exception, but they deemed my mother and I to be useless. Grimms are treated in a strangely similar way; good if they're useful."
I found myself with nothing to say. I felt like I should have said something, but every response felt like it wasn't good enough. Like it wasn't enough to carry the weight of the conversation.
"I wouldn't have pursued anything with you if I had known that you were going to become a Grimm," Sean continued. "I thought that we had gotten to the point that it would've already presented itself. I never would have placed that burden on you."
"Would you have ever told me any of this if I hadn't," I asked.
There was a pause before he responded, "I don't know."
I just nodded. I couldn't decide on whether I was angry with him or not. He had hidden this part of himself for a long time, but really, would I have ever believed him if he had told me? If I hadn't experienced what I had in these last few days?
"You can go if you want," he said. "I won't force you into this."
I felt my heart drop at the idea.
I couldn't leave. Not now.
I knew how my life had been over the last few days. I lost all sense of self. All concept of who I was and what my life was supposed to be. But being here, being with him, no matter how life-changing the knowledge, had brought me back into focus. How could I leave now and lose that?
I took a few steps forward, stopping just in front of him. I grabbed his hands.
"Show me."
"(Y/n)-"
"Sean," I stopped him. "Show me."
He hesitated for a moment. When it was clear that I wasn't going to back down, he relented.
I watched his neck suddenly crack as the skin on his face changed. It wasn't all of it. One of his eyes and part of his jaw turned. The skin that changed was red around the edge and turning gray. Parts of it looked like it was rotting away.
I thought that whatever I saw was going to scare me. I had put a lot of thought into how to not flinch when he showed me. Instead, I found myself feeling completely normal. As if nothing was different. As if I had seen this part of him a hundred times before. Maybe I had. Subconsciously, at least. Not that I could ever prove that.
I walked closer, stopping when I was just in front of him.
"I don't want to go," I muttered after a moment.
I watched his face change back to its regular form. "(Y/n)-"
"I don't want to leave," I said.
"(Y/n). I need you to understand this. Your life is now dangerous enough without me in it. You'll already have people looking to hurt you or use you. If I'm involved... it will only be worse."
"And I am willing to take that risk." I grabbed his hands. "I care about you. If something were to happen, then I think being with you would be the smartest thing I could do. I understand the risk and the danger. I can't say that I'm not scared of it, but I accept it."
Sean sighed, his shoulders dropping as he did. "Are you sure?"
"As long as you are," I replied.
I almost stumbled as I was pulled forward into a hug. I chuckled quietly before closing my eyes and moving to hide my face in his shoulder.
"I love you," he muttered quietly.
"I love you too." I tightened my hug a bit.
And for the first time in days, I felt the world settle around me.

__________________________________________________________________________
“You look like shit.” You blurt the second Sean Renard opens the door to his own home. He scowls down at you, and you scowl right back. There’s deep bags under his eyes and a sickly parlor to his sweat soaked skin. He’s dressed in a rumpled hoodie and sweatpants that you didn’t even know he owned.
Since when did he own sweatpants?
Or a hoodie for that matter?
And what’s even worse, he can barely stand up straight, leaning heavily on the doorframe.
“You’re so kind.” He says and opens the door wider so you can come inside.
You make your way to the dining room where you set bags of groceries on the table and turn with your hands on your hips.
“When you said you were sick, I didn’t think you were literally dying.” You say as you give him a once over as he stuffs his hands in his hoodie pockets.
“I’m not dying.” He says and you roll your eyes,
“Coulda fooled me. I didn’t even know you owned sweatpants.” You turn back to your bags and rifle through them, tossing him a bottle of Gatorade and gesturing for him to go sit down.
You meander your way around his kitchen, cleaning the dirty dishes and disinfecting the counters before pulling out some ingredients for a simple chicken noodle soup.
It was a classic and easy and good for someone who was sick. Especially the giant of a man who was sprawled out on the couch in the living room.
As you cook, you put the tea kettle on and keep an eye on him. You’re able to spot his head lolling back against the couch pillows and you can hear the tell tale sound of book pages turning and the occasional sniffling.
Typically he’s at least in the kitchen with you while you cook. But you figured you’d make an exception just this once.
Soon enough, the food is done and you bring a mug of herbal tea and a bowl of soup on a TV dinner tray where Sean is waiting. He’a reading some philosophy book that you don’t care to read the title of. You can see where he’s marked certain passages or used miscellaneous scraps of paper as bookmarks.
He always did love a good book.
“Did you start that book I lent you?” You ask as you set down the tray and start cleaning up his space. Random book piles are straightened on the coffee table and old dishes are taken to the sink.
He really must be sick if his house is this messy.
Sean sits up and sets his book atop the most recent pile of books. These ones are in various languages that you can’t even begin to read. French. Arabic. Russian. And was that Latin? Who even wrote Latin books anymore?
“I started it. Couldn’t get into it.” Sean says, snapping you from your musings. You hum as you take the half finished Gatorade and hand him the soup. He says a quiet thank you before digging in.
“It takes a bit to get going. But I think you’ll like it eventually. If not, I have plenty of other things to recommend to you.” You reply and he merely grunts through a mouthful of noodles. You finish folding a blanket and flop into the armchair beside the couch, letting him eat in a warm, blissful silence.
“You don’t have to stay, you know.” Sean says as he follows you up the stairs and into his bedroom. You begin to rifle through his en-suite bathroom cabinets, looking for a thermometer.
It’s nowhere to be found.
“Yeah and ten bucks says you don’t make it to bed before passing out.” You retort absentmindedly, jerking up to look into the bedroom when you hear a thump.
It was just Sean tossing his book on the bedside table.
You huff and gently push him toward the bed. He moves without complaint and part of you wished he’d get sick more often. It wasn’t often that he was so obedient.
Luckily, Sean has some NyQuil in his cabinets so you pour him a dose and his nose scrunches as he makes a face.
“No thanks. I’m fine.” He tries, and you very nearly force his jaw open to pour it down his throat yourself.
“Drink this and don’t argue with me.” You say, exasperated.
After some back and forth, Sean finally takes the medicine and sags back into bed. You lean forward and press the back of your hand to his forehead,
“You’re burning up. Hopefully the meds will help.” You mumble and he catches your hand as you go to move away.
“Thank you.” He says seriously and you grin, reaching back to smooth his hair back over his sweaty forehead.
“It’s not a problem. I’m just a phone call away if you need me.” You say and lean down to press a quick kiss to his lips.
Hopefully it doesn’t get you sick.

“Please?” It came out no more then a whisper. A soft beg, begging him not to not die. The room was dark. The only light was the monitor that keep reminding her that he was alive.
The only sound was that annoying beeping that in the she loved to hear. It was the only thing that helped her. As she wiped her teary eyes.
She let out a soft breathe before looking up at her love. He still looked as handsome as the day they met.
“Why? Why didn’t you tell me. Please wake up.” She said moving her fingers to his face. Down the jaw she loved to kiss. His cheek. How? How had she not known? She wondered, she was a Grimm after all.
It has been a day since the attack. A day since he took a bullet meant for her. That moment played on repeat in her mind. The look on his face when he lost control and woge and pushed her behind him. When he saw the gun pointed at her. The sound of the gun being fired as his body hit the floor. She grabbed her gun and shoot the man in front of her.
The look on Sean’s face when he saw her as she held him. A light smile appeared on his face when he knew she was safe.
She placed his head in her lap as she begged him not to die. As the tears rolled down her face. Her hands covered in his blood. Trying to keep pressure. His hot sticky blood seeped into her hands.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered, fighting to keep his eyes open. She shook her head. “No.” She kissed his head. “You have nothing to be sorry about.” She says not looking into his eyes. She focused on keeping her hands on his stomach. “I’m the one who is sorry. This is all my fault.” She cried out when he lost consciousness.
Tears rolled down her face as she closed her eyes. Grabbing his hand in hers. Her lips pressed against his hand. Praying to anyone and everyone that he would live.
“Don’t cry.” A voice told her. As she opened her eyes she saw Sean was awake. “Hey handsome.” She said his fingers wrapped around hers before he smiled at her. “You stayed.” He said in a small voice. Shook laced in, as if he really did excepted me to leave him. He looked at me with loving eyes. Before I could say anything the nurses walked in and asked me to leave.
After a hour I was able to go back into the room. Sean was laying down looking at the ceiling. “Why?” It was his turn to ask as he closed him eyes. “Why what?” I asked sitting back in my chair my his bed.
He looked at me. His green eyes staring at me. “Why did you stay?” He asked again. He look at me with confusion. “I love you, Sean Renard. You stayed with me knowing I was a Grimm and you loved me. I love you to much to let you go now.” I said putting my hand on his bed. Looking at him, those green eyes looking at me. “You took a bullet for me, why?” It was my turn.
“I love you. You are the only thing that matters to me.” He said scooting over and pulling me to lay with him. My head on his shoulder. He looked at me for a second before looking at the ceiling again.
“I didn’t want to lose you. I love you to much to let you go. I would give my life over and over for you.” He said as he kissed my head.
“You will never lose me, I love you Sean.” I said kissing his lips. Once we pulled apart I smiled at him before asking him. “So you are half Zauberbiest?” He held me as he explained everything.
Once he was done he looked at me as if to make sure I was still okay with everything. “So you are a prince? That’s awesome!” I said as he held me tighter. “So my prince, how are you feeling?” I asked kissing his shoulder.
“Better with you in my arms.” He smiled at me.

Tumblr media
There’s blood in your mouth, you can taste the copper on your tongue as you spit burgundy onto the marble tiles beneath your knees. You have no idea where you are, only that you’re kneeling in front of Sean’s sociopathic brother. Your hands are secured behind your back, the steel cuffs digging into the flesh of your wrists, you try to wrench at them again but they hold firm, cold and unrelenting.
“You know, I don’t understand what my brother sees in you.” Eric drawls as he towers above you. He clasps your jaw between his fingers, the leather of his glove kissing your skin as he forces your head up to meet his gaze. “You aren’t even pretty.”
You bare your teeth as his thumb smears blood over the outline of your lips. He pulls his hand away just in time as you try to bite him, cackling as the hand on your shoulder yanks you back.
“Oh you’re spirited, I’ll give you that.” He smiles as he grasps your jaw again, harder this time, the tips of his fingers digging into your flesh. He leans in close, his mouth covering yours. You try to pull away but he holds you in place, biting down hard on your lower lip, the skin split beneath his teeth.
His mouth is bloody when he pulls away, crimson painting skin. His thumb traces over his lower lip, chasing away the stain before he tilts his head, surveying you with a renewed interest.
“Maybe I’ll keep you after all.”

I saw an ask with the Crictal Role Characters defending S/O from shitty family so can that be applied to the Castlevania Characters as well like Alcuard, Trevor, Sypha , Greta, Hector, Issac, Lenore, Richter, Maria, Annette, Dracula, Olrox, Morgana and Striga.
Of course nonnie!!
Alucard - has those snarky quips ready in a whole “enough of your shit” way
Sypha - she’s a rambling grumpy mess at said family, maybe drops a few cusses, and just lets it out with a blunt “you are rude!!”
Trevor - oh he does not care at all! low gravelly sighs with a few grumpy “oh shut up, f*ck off”
Greta - nope! She won’t allow this, won’t stand for it! Tells them off so eloquently and then has you in tow
Hector - he knows a thing or two about bad families so he’ll drop some thinly veiled threats but won’t waste his time or breath
Isaac - not really holding back his disdain for your mistreatment and a Night Creature army can help with that
Maria - she’s piping mad if someone mistreats you and her lengthy vocabulary emphasizes that
Annette - she’s lost and gained family so it holds dear to her, and to have others show such disdain for you greatly angers her
Richter - family is everything to Belmonts so Richter is pissed AF to see you treated so disrespectfully and even argues with them, hyping you up too
Dracula - it’s the whole “what is a man?!” all over again and gods have mercy on the family who dared to insult you
Lenore - she’s got that scowl on her face and dishes out some mean snark if she feels riled up enough
Olrox - those piercing greens betray all the boiling rage he’s about to unleash, may go into snake form just to scare them
Striga and Morana - intimidation, snark, may break the dinner table, but also very protective of you
