It gets so lonely here is a spooky VN with fairytale theming feat. three cute(?) girls who love you a lot! What could possibly go wrong? Featuring adorable character art by Mossinasi, a custom OST by yuzuki, and an intricate UI by Elduator, it’s an atmospheric story full of characters who do a lot of Morally Questionable Things... But that’s all OK, because they love you!  ♥ (Note: while this VN isn’t particularly graphic, and there are no drawn depictions of gore nor any particularly detailed descriptions of it, you might want to read the list of trigger warnings on Itchio before deciding if it’s something you want to play!)

Soul Restruct is a sci-fi action yuri visual novel. Grey, a retail worker with a journalistic eye for beauty in the mundane, gets brought into the exploits of the elementally-powered "New Six."

As the newly-appointed chronicler of this team, Grey follows along to discover the meaning of civilian disappearances caused by a horde mechanical beasts, and the ambitions of the Tyrants in control of them. (all screenshots not final)

Soul Restruct will feature character and CG art by @jellyfishfortuna, background art by Ahruna and Nate D Hernandez, character designs brought on by the likes of khwany! On the soundtrack are @jamiepaige and @shadolith!

@teffiniwynn is the lead writer, producer, and director on Soul Restruct! Els White has been a great help co-writing. Studio Coattails is handling voice casting and Syon Santeria the direction! We'll do character and cast reveals over the coming days.

We're aiming to have a demo, and sometime afterward a crowdfunding campaign, in 2024! Stay tuned for further developments.

I made a game!!

Its called Alma is Magically Late! It's a sapphic magical girl visual novel and my first game :D

I made it solo for the Magical Queer Jam

It is browser based, and you have the option to download it and play on your pc, mac, linux or windows computers.

It is free as well so have fun :3

it's a pretty silly and short story i worked on (with a little help from my friends for some stuff<3) for velox fabula's game jam!! it was made in ten days (sans the update... which i forgot to do until recently) and with the theme of unreliable narrator :)

Sorry if this feel like, random, but how did you learn Ren'Py? Is there any tutorial you'd recommend? I know enough Python to work with the terminal, but I have noooo idea how to work with graphics and stuff ^^;

Hey there! I learned Ren'Py little by little, by making progressively larger games. I've also come across a lot of resources, so here's my recommendations for learning:

Crack open the script.rpy file for The Question. This microgame is packaged with your copy of Ren'py, so you'll come across it naturally after downloading. You'll be able to see how to make backgrounds, characters, text and music appear, as well as how to create branching choices.

Watch Vimi's channel. He's a cool dude that I respect immensely, I worked with him on a game last year, and his vids are a ton of fun! Here's an absolutely rapidfire tutorial to get you started. I would recommend pausing frequently or returning to the video often while you work.

Play indie games! itch.io is full of wonderful indie VNs. They're short and will open your mind to new possibilities. Also, you can often crack games open to learn how to do new things. (If you're nervous, then know you have my express permission to look at my games' code.)

Connect with other VN makers! The DevTalk discord is a very friendly place, and you can get both encouragement and serious advice on your projects.

Participate in a game jam! If you're starting out, you should be making short VNs. NaNoRenO and The Spooktober Game Jam are super popular, and the Winter VN Jam is going on right now! Jams also have resources, and the NaNoRenO page is one of my favorites.

Good luck! Aim small with your first game; try making something that's well under a thousand words, and try to do it with one location, and as few characters as possible. Making a game is already enough of a challenge as it is! XD

I’ve finally finished this! You now have the option to carry cigarettes with you, along with the switchblade. That means new dialogue options and scene variations, yayyyyy.

I’m also working on adding the inventory menu. It’s fairly simple since Fennel doesn’t carry much (at least, he doesn't carry around a lot of items that you will use) and because of the POV changes.

A crime/gangster story set in 1920's St. Louis, in which everyone is a cute cat and the MC has a terrible habit of getting into trouble and also owes a debt to the sketchiest lawyer imaginable. Fully customizable Cat!MC with multiple backgrounds + personalities, ~8 official love interests and aro/ace options.

The Last Spring. ASOIAF Interactive Fanfic made with Twine. Currently at ~25k. A court drama story set in Pre-Robert's Rebellion book canon, the MC is invited to King's Landing for Prince Rhaegar and Princess Elia's wedding ... and in true ASOIAF fashion, has to juggle avoiding death, scandal and an awful marriage. Fully customizable Female MC, multiple backgrounds + personalities, aro/ace option not in yet, only three love interests so far (with more planned).

Do you think we're soulmates in every universe? is a short (~10 mins) visual novel about love and alternate universes. It has 3 endings and includes art & coding made by your's truly.

While it isn't anything super impressive, I have been wanting to release a game (whether it was a short or long one didn't matter to me) for so long and to finally do so is super exciting for me! Thank you if you download and play it, I put my heart and soul into making it for the Dialouge Game Jam this past week. I hope this leads to me uploading bigger projects in the future, and I hope you'll be there when I do. 🧡
