Hello! Thank you, I'm glad you like my VNs! You can see some of the VNs I'm currently working on if you check out my upcoming list of Steam games here! This doesn't include all of the projects I'm working on, and I tend to manage about 10-12 projects at any one time. I don't find the time to be too much of an issue because I love what I do. Making VNs is fun, so I want to keep doing it! Plus I only do the writing and coding, not the art or music, so I don't have that much to do per project either.

Hi hi, it's ebi here ☆ Just making a post to let you all know that, while I appreciate every single ask I receive (some people leave such lovely kind comments... Thank you so much!), I won't publically answer any asks which contain large spoilers for my games. If you want me to answer something which contains spoilers, you can send me an ask while logged into a Tumblr account and I can reply privately! As for one anonymous ask I received earlier today about a particular character from It gets so lonely here... I'll answer it under the cut.

All of the characters in Lonely are vague and undefined on purpose, since I wanted the story to feel like a fairytale. Fairytales tend to have characters who fit certain roles, e.g. 'the princess', 'the witch', 'the hero', etc, etc, and you don't necessarily expect them to have more going on than that. I wanted characters feel a bit archetypal, and I didn't want to delve into any of them too deeply because I didn't want to ground the story in reality too much... So, there's not that much information in the story or outside of it about certain characters. I don't know if I really want to give concrete details about all of the cast either, since I would prefer to leave things up to interpretation. I'm sorry if the answer is disappointing! I don't mind at all if people want to make headcanons for the characters or pick them apart, but I'm not sure if I would want to provide much more external information than what is already presented!

Omg hii I just finished playing your game ''the end of an obsession'' and came to tumblr to fangirl about it andd somehow found your account! I wanted to say thank you for providing doomed yuri ily and oh god your writing is so good I love how your descriptions and the way your characters talk. I was omw to replay Lonely since I really loved it and got all the true ending (graveyard girl was my favourite btw) and I saw you had made a sequel, honestly i'm proud of myself for guessing the twist in the end but that proves just how well you established your story with elements that helped the reader understand the characters fully, genuinely loved the ending and how satisfying it was ^^

I'm sorry I rambled foe a bit but i really love these games and just had to let you know

(also what are you looking for translators? I would love to come up with a french translation but I have never translated foe a game before and don't really know the procedure sorry)

Hello thank you very much! I'm glad that you enjoyed Obsession! I really debated about whether I wanted to release it or not because I thought it was too short, and people would criticise it for being too simple... Well, I did receive a few comments like that, but I'm glad some people enjoyed it! It's very nice to hear 🙏🙏🙏 The gravedigger might be my favourite girl in Lonely too... I feel like she gets overlooked a bit because she doesn't have any particularly meme-able CGs which are good for making marketing posts™ haha And there are already plans to translate Obsession into French, since somebody else already asked. I charge around $0.04 a word but I can be flexible. I also will throw in a single free editing pass of the whole script too.

Hello Ebi! I greatly enjoy your works and am curious if you ever do freelance writings? Such as for fics or get commissioned to write VN scripts for others? Do you have a favorite genre, trope, or series you like to write for?

Yes, I do freelance writing! I've never been commissioned to write fic before, but I've written for a few other VNs. I wrote some of Kaine's route in Two and a Half Studio's Dreambound, for example, and I also wrote a few scenes (mostly for the side characters) in ds sans's upcoming Sounds of Her Love 2. There's quite a few other VNs out there I was cmed to write from scratch, but they were published by another develope and I wrote them under a different name, so I won't be sharing those haha 💦💦 When it comes to freelance writing I tend not to think about my own personal tastes too much because it's work and my feelings aren't super relevant... I'm okay with writing most things if I get paid enough, though there are exceptions (there's certain types of r18 content I wouldn't want to write because it would make me uncomfortable, for example... and I probably wouldn't want to write a murder mystery because I don't think I'm smart enough to plot something that complicated hahaha)

Hi! I've been wanting to check out more of your BL vns but I lean towards more dark and drama heavy/horror styles. Do you have a rec where yo go for those?

I don't have too many dark BL VNs... The darkest would be All Scars and Starlight, which is pretty grim and has a few bad endings. I'm very fond of Scars personally, but note it's r18 and (since it's about Yuel and Tavi) the two leads are cousins. There's also Rain and the Wolf, which is a BL VN inspired by Red Riding Hood. It has a few darker endings + it touches on some darker themes, but it's possible to bypass this if you make certain choices and get a more happy fairytale-like ending instead. I haven't written any BL that I would consider to be horror, unfortunately.

Quick post to say that the Steam store page of my newest BL VN, The Thistle and the Flower, is now up! It's (yet another) BL VN about my fav OCs, Yuel and Tavi, but it takes place in Victorian England this time! Also, Tavi is a maid for some reason! Yay! 🙏 You can check out the Steam store page here if you want to see some more screenshots + read the story synopsis. Please note this is an 18 VN and it's pretty smutty, so there's a few explicit CGs on the store page. If that isn't your cup of tea I would advise giving this VN a wide berth!

Playin thru Clear Skye Thinking, and I joked to my partner 30 seconds in when Alice was complaining about the population "SHE DOESNAE KNOW ABOOT THE CLEARENCES!!" so I was genuinely pleasantly surprised when the game touched on them with empathy. Top stuff bud

As a game developer, do you prefer if people buy your games through Steam or Itchio?

Just wondering what the best way to support you is!

Oh thank you for asking! That's very considerate! I receive a slightly larger cut from each sale if you buy on Itchio, so from a pure financial pov buying on Itchio is better. Steam reviews are very important, however, and they can give a huge boost in discoverability to games when they hit certain review thresholds (10, 50, and 500). Since Steam has a much larger userbase than Itchio, I think it's more valuable for people to buy my games on Steam and leave reviews there, since more Steam reviews = the game will get pushed out to a larger potential audience. All of my Itchio games come with Steam keys, so you can activate each Itch purchase on Steam and you can still leave a review... but reviews left from people who activated keys don't count towards Steam's total % of reviews, so they don't do anything to boost the games in the algo. TL;DR: Buying on Itchio is better from a purely financial POV, but Steam is better if you intend to leave a review. If you don't intend to leave a review then it doesn't much matter, though. At the end of the day people should buy on whatever platform they prefer.

I got physical copy of Blackberry Honey recently (which I hope to get signed by you someday!) and I was wondering, if any more of your solo games are in the works to get a physical release (or any you want to give the physical treatment)

Aaa thank you for picking a copy up! It's appreciated! A Winter's Daydream did get a physical release on the PS Vita a blue moon again, but it was one of the last games released on the vita and it's probably expensive now... I did discuss with Studio Elan about potentially making physicals of a few of my other yuri VNs (I suggested A Fairy's Song or Salome's Kiss since they're both relatively popular), but I'm not sure if Blackberry Honey sold enough physical copies to make it worth looking into: especially since none of my other yuri VNs have been as commercially successful as BH. It's possible but I'm not 100% sure at the moment!

I've released the second episode of my cute slice of life NSFW BL VN Unluckily in Love: Fragments of Love! It's an episodic story about my cute OCs, Yuel and Tavi, living their best lives and doing lovey-dovey romantic things! I've planned a total of ten episodes for this series. The first three episodes will be free, and the latter seven will be paid DLC (they will probably be cheap, though). Episodes one and two combined are around 104k already, so I fear the full version will be over 500k haha ;; You can download episodes one and two for free here!
