yo! im sorry if i asked this at some like a year ago, i couldnt remember but the thought definitely crossed my mind before: is there any link, thematic or otherwise, between Strawberry Vinegar, 'Round The Mulberry Bush and Blackberry Honey? also i am so hyped for your new yuri VN! i support the fishnet-only look!

There's no link between any of them. They're all very different VNs set in different time periods with different characters, which just so happen to have fruit-themed titles. Mulberry Bush isn't even yuri haha And thank you! I'm working on a few other yuri VNs too so I'll keep eveybody posted!

The end of an obsession has been released on Itchio here! It's a yandere yuri VN where you take on the role of a princess trapped in a tower. Talk to your captor, the wicked witch of roses, and see if you can resist her advances. Don't struggle too much, though: you might not like what happens... This VN is a sequel to my previously released yandere yuri VN It gets so lonely here, and it's advised to read Lonely before Obsession to fully understand it. I hope you enjoy it if you do decide to check it out!

My short, sweet BL VN, My Confounding Cat is Criminally Cute*, has been released on Steam here and Itchio here! Yay \o/ Criminal Cat is a linear visual novel without any choices or branches. It follows a grumpy wizard, Aster, who lives a reclusive life deep in the woods and runs an apothecary to get by. Aster is taciturn by nature, and he swears he isn’t lonely! He’s perfectly fine keeping to himself, thank you very much…

Until a black cat tumbles down his chimney one day, and throws his whole life into disarray!

After taking the black cat in, Aster soon discovers this clumsy kitten is no ordinary feline. He is, in actuality, a young man called Blaise, who has been cursed by a witch to assume the form of a cat during the day – but why? What did Blaise do to get cursed, and can Aster help him?

It’s a huge pain, but Aster will (reluctantly) do his best. He’ll never be able to get rid of Blaise if he can’t, and all Aster really wants is a quiet life. It’s not like he’s going to fall for his catboy companion or anything, right?

…Right?

Criminal Cat is a pretty sweet story, and it doesn’t contain any explicit content. The steamiest thing you’ll find here are a handful of kiss scenes (well, how else are you supposed to break a curse?!) The adorable art is by Ekkoberry, who handled the character sprites, CGs, and the UI! I usually work with multiple artists per project, so having one person manage all of the art-related tasks was a pretty new experience for me. I’m really happy with how this VN turned out: I think it looks very cute and cohesive! I hope you enjoy it if you do check it out! I put a lot of love into this story, and I hope it shows! - ebi x * And I apologise for the very extra light novel tier title haha, I thought it fit since the story takes place in a fantasy world!!! It's all a bit of fun, I promise!!!

im just asking, how do you usually plan/write out the scripts for your games (and what software do you use to write them out) ? especially for the longer ones... it's mad impressive.

Hello! I don't do anything fancy when I'm planning or writing my stories. My plans are all very loose bullet point lists of the scenes I want to write, and I dash these off in LibreOffice (it's basically Microsoft Word but free). And I do all of my writing in LibreOffice, too! I don't do anything unusual or use any fancy programs.

Oh yeah I also have a Bsky if anybody wants to follow me there, thanks to the slow and inevitable collapse of Twitter lol I've never posted all that much on Tumblr anyway so maybe I'll post more regularly on Bsky, who knows...

Bit of a belated post, but I thought I'd mention I uploaded a couple of demos for these WIP VNs on Steam for Steam Next Fest! These VNs are Cage of Roses and How to Melt a Maiden's Heart respectively. Cage of Roses is a gothic romance yuri story with vampires, and Melty Heart is a slice of life story set in modern day Japan with a crossdressing love interest. These stories are tonally pretty different (one is atmospheric and moody, the other is sweet and cute), but I hope they're both enjoyable in their own ways! You can check the demos out on Steam now! Yay how cool \o/

It occurs to me that I haven't actually posted about this cute BL VN I've been working on, My Confounding Cat is Criminally Cute, on here properly lmao, so have the trailer...! Criminal Cat is a short, sweet VN about a grumpy wizard, Aster, who meets what he presumes is a stray cat who's in a pinch. Aster takes the cat in, but he later discovers the cat is actually a handsome young man who's under a curse (oooh how spooky). Aster has to help the suffering catboy, Blaise, break his curse, but he only has a week to do it. If he fails, Blaise will be stuck as a cat forever. Can Aster help Blaise, or will things end in failure - and what about a bit of romance along the way? I was possessed by a demon and coded pretty much the whole VN during these last two days lol, so I'll be releasing it soon(?) You can wishlist it on Steam here!
