Been rewatching some of the Gambit clips from Deadpool and Wolverine that have been online.

It might just be the quality of the video (though a lot of them are pretty high quality considering the movie came out like a week and a half ago) but when Gambit uses his powers do his eyes change color?

I think it could just be his powers reflecting off his eyes but I swear his eyes are a different color.

Not like his red and black eyes in the comics or anything but still.

These are just screen shots I took off YouTube videos from when Gambit finds out Deadpool got Johnny Storm killed.

This one is from the fight seen at Cassandra’s after he tells one of her minions that he shouldn’t have done that before hitting him with his staff

Those are the most clear shots of it from the videos I saw, was kinda hard to get any during the action scenes without HD images/gifs

Edit: Also I know that his eyes change color in the comics. This was just more me talking about a neat detail in the movie that I hadn’t noticed before lol

Conspiracy theory: Since Nicolas Cage was in talks to reprise his role as Johnny Blaze in “Deadpool and Wolverine”, what if the reason why this didn’t happen was because Marvel Studios already had plans for him to return in “Doomsday” or “Secret Wars”?

As for why Marvel Studios gave the greenlight to the other cameos, if I had to guess -

Elektra = probably didn’t care since the Elektra movie has been forgotten by now

Blade = they’re working on a new Blade, so they figured it wouldn’t hurt to have the classic Blade appear here as a fun little throwback/wink to the audience

Gambit = also didn’t care, especially since Channing Tatum’s movie was never made

Johnny Storm = they’re working on a new Fantastic Four and had no plans to revisit this version of the team

(Side note: if true, this wouldn’t be the first time Marvel Studios has been tight-lipped with Ghost Rider. Apparently, Agents of SHIELD originally planned to use Johnny Blaze for season 4, but were told to use Robbie Reyes instead)

one of my favorite details in the dpnw movie that i think isn't talked about enough was when gambit called johnny "that sweet baby angel" like?? even on my 1st time watching it i was really intrigued by what it could imply because it was also gambit who seemed so mad when he sensed that wade must've done something to johnny. did they bond over talking shit about people? i need to see the chemistry between them tbh, but in a platonic way
