Google Ads Editor version 2.4 is out with 8 new features

Google has just released its Ads Editor version 2.4, and advertisers can take advantage of several new features and updates. Let’s see what’s new.

New Features:

Video asset library. All of the videos used in the account can now be found in the video asset library.

Multi-account overview. The “Overview” tab now shows a summary across multiple accounts. Previously, it could only show one account at a time.

Google Drive integration. With Google Drive integration, Editor now supports export to or import from Google Drive. You can also share files in Drive with other users. But Google Sheets is not currently supported with this release.

Scheduled Post. You can now schedule your posts for a specified time.

Editable product groups and listing groups. Product groups and listing groups can now be added and modified within Editor, in a dialog that makes it easier to view and maintain their tree-like structure for campaigns using Merchant Center product feeds. Previously, the only way to manipulate product groups and listing groups was via CSV import.

One YouTube Network. All Video campaigns now target YouTube Search and YouTube Video networks, so these options are removed from Editor. Only the Video Partners setting remains the same.

Video enhancement opt-out. There is a new setting to enable or disable video enhancements for Video campaigns.

Download. “Download,” which was previously known as “Get recent changes” now allows you to download previously downloaded campaigns, item types, and optimize downloaded data or the combination of all 3 choices. You can also schedule downloading a campaign or other item types.

Deprecated Feature:

Google deprecated one feature, the updated validations for geo targeting and exclusion methods. Google said the “Area Of Interest (“People interested in your locations”) geo targeting method is mostly deprecated. It’s only allowed for Discovery campaigns. In addition, the Don’t care (“People in or interested in…”) exclusion method is disallowed in Search, Display, Shopping, and Performance Max.”

have a story.

a while ago i had an acquaintance. let’s call them J. it would be a fairly simple task to find their name based on the information here, but here i will call them J. all other information is unredacted.

J had a band called the new jersey weather report. it was an unremarkable diy emo folk band. they had other projects too, but this one is important.

later, J recruited Noah to the band. together they recorded an album called “less than pleased”, and renamed the band to “significantly”. it was released to critical acclaim, at least within the tiny sphere of diy emo folk. it even had a physical release of a couple dozen tapes. my friend has one. the album even ended up on a rateyourmusic “best of the year” list. it was pretty good.

J was particularly proud of the album cover, which is odd because it kind of sucked. it was a shoddily composed photograph of a suburban neighborhood. but they talked on and on about how proud they were of the cover. strange. let’s move on.

later they released an album called “rose-tinted bones”, which i considered to be their best work. this one had a very distinctive album cover of a bone wrapped in a vine of flowers, which then became the logo for the band. it ended up on a t-shirt that this same friend also has.

they then recruited Max and Riley to the band, and recorded an album called “the ocean washed over your grave”. it was pretty good. i don’t have much else to say about it. they also released an EP.

over this time, videos of the band members performing and recording were regularly posted to the band’s twitter account. only one band member was ever present in any of the videos, which is fine i suppose. this was during the pandemic, so presumably they were recording separately from each other.

keep in mind, the last 5 paragraphs describe what happened over the course of about 6 months. to say that this band was prolific would be an understatement. i was honestly incredibly envious of their ability to write music so quickly, since at the time i was going through a lot of writer’s block for a musical project i myself was working on. and they were releasing stuff left and right ! it was really cool, and i was very proud of them.

their fourth album had a lot of strife to it. i don’t remember what it was called, but the cover had a white background with the silhouette of a hand reaching out, with the inside of the silhouette being a picture of a forest. they released the tracklist, and then soon after, the band broke up. they cited transphobia and abuse on the part of Noah and Max (J and Riley were trans themselves), and proceeded to scrap the fourth album and remove their music from bandcamp and streaming services.

J and Riley then formed their own band, called “ghostfuneral”. this one was a math-rock project. i didn’t actually listen to any of their stuff, but apparently it was really good.

... or so J would like you to believe.

ghostfuneral ended up performing in a minecraft concert of the type that was quite popular during quarantine. the concert was recorded and uploaded to youtube by the people running it, but they ran into a problem. ghostfuneral’s set ended up tripping the content id algorithm, apparently matching a recording by a band called the lawnchairs. the person uploading it then listened to the lawnchairs song, and sure enough, it was an exact match. they then posted about this to twitter.

“it must have been a clerical error, someone along the line must have messed up”, ghostfuneral claimed regarding their two-person project. nobody believed this.

soon enough, it was discovered that ghostfuneral’s album was also stolen, from a band called the planet you. and soon after, it was discovered that every significantly album was also stolen, mostly from white oak. as had all of the music by the new jersey weather report, and all of J’s side projects. it became clear that J had written not a single note of the music that had brought them so much money and fame.

J never knew Noah or Max, and Riley never existed. J had been taking recordings of practice sessions that they “members” had posted on twitter and instagram and youtube, reuploaded them wholesale, and told people that they were working on the song together. and additionally, J had made up horrible lies about Noah and Max in order to justify starting a new project, essentially just for fun.

the backlash was immense. we all felt very betrayed. J ended up deleting their online presence entirely. the significantly twitter account stayed up for a while and we all had a laugh dunking on the now-obvious lies that were posted there.

theorizing ensued. the stuff that was confusing now fell into place. they were so prolific because they weren’t writing music at all, just downloading it and coming up with new names for it. J was so proud of that album cover because it was the only piece of original content that J actually made for the scam. the only thing that wasn’t stolen, the sole piece of art that J could point to and honestly go “i made that”. it was the only thing they ever could have been proud of.

the moral of the story is... look, who the hell knows man. i just needed to write this down somewhere. it’s fricked up tho right

Sanremo 2021

Hello everyone! Here you’ll find this year’s Sanremo’s stuff and news (I’ll be uploading this post through all the week). The Festival, that this year will see no public in the theater, will start on tuesday March 2nd at 8:30 pm (it’ll probably have a 5 minutes “anteprima = preview” every night), and end on saturday March 6th, when the final will be broadcasted.

I’m not sure if or where the usual Dopofestival, with the analysis of the show at the end of each night, will be broadcasted (here you can find last year program L’Altro Festival)

Hosts & Guests + Other Stuff

This years’ host will be Amadeus (who choose the songs taking part into this Sanremo), a TV and radio host. He will be accompanied by Fiorello, another famous Italian host, and probably, as last year, by a different co-host woman each night: Matilda De Angelis (actress, 1st night), Elodie (singer, 2nd  night), Vittoria Ceretti (model, 3rd night), Barbara Palombelli (host/writer, 4th night). On saturday, there might be different co-hosts women. Each night, Achille Lauro (singer, last year Sanremo partecipant) will go on stage and perform. Also the football player Zlatan Ibrahimovic (one night accompanied by coach and former football player Sinisa Mihailovic) will be there every night or so. Some of the one-night guests might be the singers Negramaro, Alessandra Amoroso, Il Volo (on wednesday’s night, they will honor Ennio Morricone), Loredana Bertè, Mahmood (friday’s night), Ornella Vanoni and Francesco Gabbani’s duet (on saturday); sport champions as Alex Schwazer (walker, who will tell his story - he’s been wrongly accused of doping) and Alberto Tomba + Federica Pellegrini (former sky champion and actual swimming champion, on saturday’s night will promote the 2026 Winter OG taking place in Milano and Cortina).

How it works

There will be 26 singers in the Campioni (champs) section and 8 in the Giovani (young/newbies) section. The winner of the competition of the Campioni section will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest: if he/she/them won’t accept, the choice will be another artist, usually the 2nd classified. On the 3rd night, there will be the usual duets night. The Campioni’s singers will perform (with another Italian or foreign artist) a song from the Italian folk/song writer’s collection. As last year, the rank at the end of the 3rd night, will change also the rank after the 2 first nights (votes will be added to the general rank).

Day 1 - co-hosts: Matilda De Angelis, Fiorello. Guests: Achille Lauro, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Loredana Bertè, Alessia Bonari (nurse), Italian Police Marching Band with the saxophonist Stefano Di Battista, Russian gymnast Olg’a Kapranova We’ll listen to 13 Campioni’s songs (in order of performance: Arisa, Colapesce e Di Martino, Aiello, Francesca Michielin e Fedez, Max Gazzè, Irama, Madame, Maneskin, Ghemon, Coma_Cose, Annalisa, Francesco Renga, Fasma) and 4 Giovani’s (Gaudiano, Elena Faggi, Avincola, Folcast). The first two Giovani’s songs classified (Folcast, Gaudiano) will pass to friday’s night’s final. We have a first rank of the 13 Campioni who performed tonight:

The first two Giovani’s songs classified (Wrongonyou, DavideShorty) will pass to friday’s night’s final. Hot Topics When will the ‘Simulation/Autonomy Lag’ be fixed?

We’re on it! Particularly, what we’re doing right now is identifying what the root cause of this issue is. That means, we’re investigating what specific actions during gameplay do lead to the lag? This is the first step we need to take because the simulation/autonomy lag is not the actual issue, it’s rather a symptom that can have dozens of different causes. If the lag has happened in your game, you’ve probably experienced the following most common manifestations of this symptom:

Sims standing around doing nothing

Sims not doing anything on their own (with free will set to max)

Sims take forever to do a given command

Time jumping backwards after fast forwarding to Ultra Speed. The Sims will usually freeze while fast forwarded.

Sims come home late from school

FPS Drops

Once we identify what specific actions and circumstances lead to the lag, we’ll know what we need to work on. And the best way to find out, is by analysing your save files! The more save files we can analyse the higher the chance we’ll be able to find the cause soon. That said, please continue your awesome support and keep sending us your save files whenever you experience the lag!

How to share your save files

Please provide the following information when sending your save files. You can send your info through this form or DM SimGuruNick directly on AHQ.

Things you can try in the meantime

Empty out your Sims inventories (all households you have ever played)

Reduce the amount of objects in your house

Play in a smaller house with less art pieces and stuff lying around

If you over-clocked your computer, check how it goes if you revert that.

Once the freezing occurs, try saving your game (save as), go to your options and back or press M or to go to the world map and back

Lower Graphics settings

If you play with higher resolution than 1920×1080, try lowing to 1920×1080

Go to the Audio settings and remove the check next to Enable Mood Sting

Make sure you fulfill the minimum requirements of the game

Reduce the amount of mods and cc you use

Start a new game (completely shut down the game, then restart it and start a new save game)

Bookworm

Bookworm Sims will prefer to choose reading activities autonomously over other Fun actions.

NPC Bookworm Sims will be seen carrying books where possible.

Cheerful

When a Cheerful Sim socializes with a non-Cheerful / non-happy Sim, that Sim has the chance to get a Tense ‘Cheered to Death’ buff.

Cheerful Sims will autonomously try and perk up Gloomy Sims

Negative emotional buffs will decay faster than usual when Cheerful Sims are in a Happy mood.

Cheerful Sims have a greater chance of success with Friendly socials when in a Happy mood.

Clumsy

Clumsy Sims have a chance of failure when engaging in sporting activities like Using a Treadmill, Ice Skating, Snowboarding or Skiing.

Clumsy Sims have a chance of stumbling when walking around – this will elicit a response from nearby Sims.

Clumsy Sims with higher Handiness have a lesser chance of breaking objects.

Clumsy Sims have a small additional chance of breaking certain electronic devices like the Computer, Research Machine, Juice Fizzer, Cupcake Machine, Games Console, Arcade Machine and Popcorn Maker.

Genius Sims have a chance of a ‘Eureka Moment’ while showering or bathing that gives a small amount of skill for a random skill they already have,

Hot Headed Sims who get pranked have a greater chance of getting Angry.

What’s coming

We’re including the updated retro style Large Afro and a new Short Afro into the next patch update. Both hairs will be available for adults, children and toddlers.

We’ll also add six new hair colors in a future patch. In our Inside Maxis livestream on 4/27 we stated the colors will be updated in the next patch. However, the update will not happen in the upcoming but in a future patch instead. We apologize for any confusion.

Last but not least, there will be new Asian eye presets that specifically are intended to bring in more options for east Asian representation. We’ve received some feedback from you about adding more diverse body features in CAS and this is part of our ongoing effort to continue updating the game to bring in more diverse content that allows users to re-create their authentic selves in game. We appreciate your ongoing and passionate engagement to support us in making this game the best it can be!

Our approach

We put a lot of effort into delivering the most authentic design to make sure we create hair and body features that are truthful to representation. We did loads of research and took inspiration from real world examples. But we also talked to a variety of people such as our ERGs (Employee Resource Group) and most importantly, to the Game Changers that consulted us on skintones.

Why is the hair red?

During the development process, we use a lighter color – red or orange – because it’s easier to better see highlights and shadows when designing the hair. Working with darker colors off the bat can be more difficult because noticing the contrast can be tricky. Once we have the hair completed, we translate it into the different colors and adjust the levels from there.

“Fucking finally,“ Max gasped, collapsing into her chair, and took a quick gulp of water. “This is the last of it, right?“

Konoe opened his mouth, and that was when Natsuko decided that it was time to leave. She didn’t leave immediately, of course; there was still makeup to remove, and a few cute little clips to be spliced into a video that would be going up on their YouTube channel. Once Susie and Max had hogged the camera, though, Natsuko brushed herself down, muttered that she’d be going to the bathroom, and escaped out into the breezy auditorium.

This particular music show maintained a holding area for rookie idols, with more established idols monopolizing individual waiting rooms. The partitions weren’t very thick at all, but they looked very solid. The whole place was buzzing with activity, and a lost-looking idol wandering around would be picked up almost immediately.

Which was exactly what happened.

“Are you lost?“

Natsuko turned around, slapping an appropriately confused expression onto her face, and nodded. “I’m looking for the bathroom.“

“Oh, I’m going there too. Here, I’ll show you there.“

Her new friend was very reserved, but Natsuko had experience with such people, and it wasn’t long before she managed to convince Sooyeon to open up a little, having taken advantage of the fact that they both spoke English to worm her way a little deeper into the other girl’s confidence.

“You’re from Sinister, right?“

“Yeah,“ Natsuko said, brushing a stray piece of glitter off her cheeks, and grabbed a paper towel for herself. “Say, your performance is over, right? Do you want to come over and say hi?“

“Oh, I don’t know. My schedule…”

“Come on,“ Natsuko wheedled. “It’ll just be a few minutes.“

Sooyeon hesitated, but Natsuko could be very convincing when the situation called for it, and once they were trooping in the direction of their partition, Natsuko fished her phone out of her pocket and gave Konoe a quick heads-up. She shouldn’t have bothered, though, because they were soon waylaid by one of Sooyeon’s colleagues.

“Sooyeon!“ someone called, and Natsuko turned to see a boy approaching the both of them. “Hi!“

Sooyeon paused. “Oh, Bolin! I loved your performance.“

“Oh, of course you did,“ the other boy crowed, injecting a dash of playfulness into his tone to soften the blow, and followed up that enlightening little comment with a compliment. “Your performance was nice, too.“ He turned to Natsuko. “And you’re - you’re from, uh, Sinners, aren’t you?“

“Sinister,“ Natsuko amended, smiling tightly.

“This is Bolin,“ Sooyeon interjected. “He’s from Pastel.“

“Oh, Pastel,“ Natsuko gasped, nodding sagely. “Nice to meet you.“

Bolin squinted. “Yeah, you too.“

“I’m just going to say hi to the rest of Sinister,” Sooyeon said. “No need to report on me or anything, yeah?“

Bolin placed a hand over his heart and adopted an exaggeratedly betrayed expression. “I’m shocked that you’d have such a low opinion of me, Sooyeon.” A pause. “I’ll see you two around, okay?“

“Bye!“

Natsuko watched as he disappeared into the crowd. It probably wouldn’t have been appropriate for him to come along, anyway, she thought, and guided Sooyeon through the maze of partitions until they were stepping into the one occupied by Sinister. They’d done a good job of keeping things in check (not that they hadn’t been behaving themselves before, of course); Iseul wasn’t dangling from the ceiling, Chiemi wasn’t toying with her knife, and - most importantly of all - Max didn’t look like she was up to anything at all.

Which is why, when Sooyeon shook Max’s hand and jerked, Natsuko cursed in the blessed privacy of her mind and rolled her eyes. “Static electricity,“ she explained, as a shit-eating grin spread across Max’s face. “She’s prone to this sort of thing.“

“Sorry,“ Max said, not sounding sorry at all.

Woolen socks, Natsuko mouthed, as Sooyeon made polite conversation with Olivia. Woolen socks for a month!

Max stuck out her tongue.

That was what it took to keep her in check. Natsuko knew how to deal with people like Max, after all; if they were forced to discipline themselves for any amount of time, things would come to a head eventually, and then there would be hell to pay. If Max could blow off steam from time to time - push against but not utterly demolish the boundaries that they had set - then there wouldn’t be any major incidents. It was still a delicate situation, to be sure, but it wasn’t like Natsuko had been able to come up with a better solution.

She’ll prove her usefulness soon, anyway.

As she brought Sooyeon to the door and pressed a packet of crackers into her hands over her polite protests, Natsuko smiled. “It’s nice to meet you, Sooyeon.“

“You too.“

The door shut, and Natsuko exhaled.

Not a bad start, I suppose.

The S is a Grommet female terror soldier. She has a gauge piercing between her vaginal and anal cavity. The human female Grommet soldier sounds like a frog when the apparatus is used outdoors. Many Grommets hiding in a wooded area, sound like many frogs. In a city environment, many Grommet soldiers all in a line at an event near a flood drain in a curb, also sound like many frogs. The frog sounds that are produced. are searched for by people who are nearby, they hear the frogs, and want to see the frogs. There are no frogs though, there are Grommet terror soldiers. There are swordsmen hiding in the darkness where the Frog Grommets are playing their tune.

The story about the two planets is a way to say to "heat the frying pan by one degree". Frog in a Frying Pan terror attack is done, Kenny called it, news media made it happen.

It could be a much bigger event than a Grommet in the woods making frog sounds while releasing gas to lure  victims into a creek area in the night to search for frogs. Grommet Math, one more time:

The Grommet’s are sometimes called “YoSoY”, with that arrangement of capital Y, S and lower case o.

Yo = Frontwards; Forward

There, you may find clues that could be used to stop a massive attack with poison gasses delivered from the sky, sea, and ground. Ruby’s in a relationship with herself right now.” Barb: “I would like to see some Jaune/Sun.” Arryn: “Sun’s in love with Blake.” Michael jokingly laments that “volume after volume,” Sun’s been doing his best for Blake. Arryn more seriously says that “Jaune needs to focus on himself. He had his chance with a girl and he screwed it up.” Arryn then notes that Blake also needs to do some introspection. 

If RWBY fought Sun and Qrow, who’d come out on top? A: Lindsay isn’t sure Qrow would go all out against Ruby, even if it was a training match. Arryn and Lindsay both consciously snub Yang. (Lindsay: “Would Qrow really fight his lovely niece?” Arryn: “The one he’s so clearly obsessed with? I’m sorry, who are you again Yang?”) They pretty much all agree that Qrow’s Semblance would sabotage Team Drunken Monkey. Michael says Sun would hang back and let Qrow figure it out.

Vic, how did you come up with Qrow’s voice? The girls do Qrow impressions of varying quality. Vic shares a story of how he got into RWBY; at a panel in Perth back in 2014, Lindsay and Michael shared some footage of RWBY that got Vic hooked. As far as the voice, they sent him some test images of Qrow and some lines that he recorded in LA and sent to them. He did a few different voices, they picked one and the rest is history. Most of the rest of the group used something close to their natural voice. Barbara initially had a higher pitch for Yang but she toned it down. Arryn uses the same voice but changes her speech pattern. Lindsay based Ruby’s squeak on her own self-deprecating jokes about being the chubby kid. Ruby’s Volume 1 voice was because they weren’t sure how innocent Ruby was supposed to be. Michael says Sun’s voice nowadays is based on a surfer bro without the accent. There’s another bit of teasing for the Black Sun fans when Michael laments that Blake keeps shooting Sun down (”He’s trying though!”) and Arryn bemoans how oblivious Blake is. Barbara tries to fit in a Bumblebee joke about her loving Yang. 

Q: Did Ruby have a goth phase? Lindsay notes that Ruby is now sixteen as of Volume 5 (Arryn wonders if this means that Blake’s finally eighteen). Lindsay jokes that Ruby likes going to Fall Out Boy concerts. Arryn once had black hair with red tips like Ruby.

What weapons would the show be able to come up besides what’s already been seen? A: Arryn: “Well the show isn’t capable of ideas.” The question was meant to be “What kind of weapons would you come up with for a new character?” Barbara says a “gun-gun,” a gun that shoots guns. Vic: “I like to keep it simple. What I do is I take a bottle, and I break it. And then I cut you.” Arryn would love to see some kind of fan weapon. Kara: “What about a frisbee?” Michael likes the idea of a game controller that turns into a whip. The fan also has a statement that Blake isn’t the only black cat he knows that’s completely oblivious to love (Adrian from Miraculous Ladybug)

What does RWBY mean to you? Barb: “It means Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang.” Vic: “Can we change it to QRWBY?” Arryn talks about how much RWBY changed her life and let her find her dream job. Kara: “It’s been amazing, I have no words.”

A: Lindsay says getting into VA work is a little bit of luck, but it comes down to who you know and how you network with people. Fan dubs are a great jumping off point since directors keep up with that. Yuri Lowenthal (Merucry Black) and his wife Tara Platt (Kali) have a three-part series on Youtube that covers how to make a great demo reel as a voice actor. Vic says to take any chance you can to develop your skills. Most of the actors he knows didn’t start as voice actors, they just performed wherever they could. Basically, never say no to any acting gig, get into community theater and go to acting school. “One thing you need more than talent, is a thick skin.” 

If you guys could switch characters with someone here who would it be? A: Michael: “I’M YANG!” Lindsay and Weiss would swap. Arryn would be Sun or Yang. Barb would do Qrow. Vic in his Qrow voice: “I’m Weiss. I drink a lot.” Lindsay: Like mother like daughter! Vic at the end of the question: “I’d like to play Winter so I can lose to myself in a fight!”

How do you guys get into character? Arryn: “Don’t really have to do anything any more.” Kara watches the most recent episodes to get into Weiss’s mindset. She also records in heels since it helps her posture, unless it’s a fight scene. For Chibi/Volume 1-3 Yang, Barbara would cause chaos and build her energy up, but for Volume 4/5, she’d wear a big hoodie like “emo yang.” Lindsay finds a theme song for her characters. For Ruby she uses anime OPs like Lucky Star (Beacon) or Red Like Roses Part 2 (Volume 4-5 Ruby). Michael runs in circles to build up energy for Sun, if he plays Max from Camp Camp he starts swearing up a storm. When he’s driving in he’ll shout along with songs on the radio.

Michael, favorite character that’s not Sun? Winter.

Chapter Two: The Resources

Now that I had made my decision to make a cast recording of 21 Chump Street, I needed to track out which resources I needed to complete this task.  I knew from the beginning that I wanted this to be a good quality recording so that I could listen to it for years to come, so I needed good equipment.  I also needed to find people who wanted to participate in this musical.  Luckily,  I knew that wouldn’t be a problem.  All of my friends (not all actually, most) love musical theatre also, and hey, so what if some genders are switched?  In this blog post,  I will be tracking out all my needed and met resources.  One thing that I am still unsure about, is whether or not I will actually be playing and arranging music for the instrumental or if I will just use a karaoke and/or find pre-made sheet music. We will see how it turns out.

 As I made this list, worries began to fill my mind.  What if I wasn’t able to record the instrumentals?  What if I couldn’t find a good quality mic?  All these things petrified me but i knew I had to have a backup plan.  If performing the music became too much,  I would just use a pre-recorded instrumental on youtube.  Although I hope it doesn’t come to that,  I do feel slightly better knowing that I have a backup plan.  I am so excited to start this project, yet I struggle with finding a place to start.  Do I start with casting? With sheet music?  With purchases?  I think the smartest thing to do at the moment is casting so I can figure out who’s gonna play what part and how many actors I need vs how many I have.  Then, I will continue with sheet music, which will take months (hopefully 1 and a half MAX).  Next, we will start rehearsals and finally, the recording.  I am so incredibly excited yet I am also petrified. Is that a good thing? Let’s see.
