When I used to do art for Sky, I really liked to accentuate the diamonds on kids and adults' backs and chests. It wasn't anything based in strict canon but the aesthetic of a star or an eye in the back where one can never see it but others can, was something I liked.

I don't read much fic in any fandom but once I was dying in the trenches of Stargate fic machine (dead), and I really, really liked the works that introduced different solutions to the show's plot. Not fix-its, but rather completely different fuckups entirely.

One of my big favorites even now remains a fic whose entire premise was "what if the soviets went to the pegasus galaxy instead of the usa?". It was hilarious and genius. And lead to just as fucked consequences.

I still like inserting what-ifs (but not necessarily fix-its) in various universes :)
