QPR Applemedia Headcanons

I got bit with the bug for this ship a couple weeks ago, and while I'm writing a little fic for them, you guys can have these headcanons

Lucifer and Vox are romantically and sexually involved while Alastor is their queerplatonic partner

Lucifer and Alastor were actually the first to become involved with each other, then (somehow) Alastor and Vox worked through their differences and became qpps as well

Lucifer DID NOT like Vox at first - he'd heard what happened between him and Alastor and was sure he was trying to hurt Alastor again. It wasn't until Alastor got sick of the protectiveness and forced them to hang out that the pair actually realized their chemistry

Lucifer and Vox are both rich and treat customer service employees like shit

Alastor - who grew up poor and is still not exactly strapped for cash (I'm a broke Alastor truther, sue me) hates this. Both he and his mother worked in customer service when money was tight while he was alive, so he always tries to treat them with respect. He'll take money from whoever was the biggest asshole on their nights out and use it to give the waitstaff large tips. Nights out almost always end in the silent treatment, but our boys are dumb so they don't know what they did wrong or understand why it was wrong when Alastor tells them

Don't worry, they get it eventually and start working on themselves

Vox and Alastor both prefer coffee while Lucifer likes tea more

Vox has the best sleep schedule, Lucifer alternates between not sleeping at all and sleeping for 19 hours, and Alastor sleeps at most 3 hours per night due to crippling insomnia - though he like to tell everyone that not sleeping is a choice in order to seem more mysterious and intimidating

Vox and Lucifer had a field day when they found out Alastor was ticklish. Alastor pretends to be annoyed every time they gang up on him, but it actually reminds him of the rare happy memories of his childhood, so he lets them keep doing it

Vox and Lucifer will binge their favorite shows together and come up with the wildest conspiracies about them

When they sleep in the same bed, Alastor and Lucifer use Vox as a makeshift heater

Alastor is fine with being kissed - making out is a definite no - but he doesn't kiss. He bites with affection. He never draws blood when he's being affectionate, but he's not always gentle either. It isn't uncommon for the trio to be laying in bed and Alastor just starts biting whoever is closest

For someone who is supposedly with the times, Alastor and Lucifer had to explain asexuality an ungodly number of times for Vox to finally understand it - a byproduct of being with Valentino for so long

Alastor still refuses to allow cameras to see him clearly, just to tease Vox when they aren't around each other

Despite his claims, there is actually a wide array of modern music that Alastor enjoys, but despite his southern roots, Vox found out the hard way that Alastor will throw hands if you play country around him

Alastor and Vox love making fun of Lucifer for his height - until he shifted into a form that was a good 5 inches taller than both of them just to shut them up. Lucifer wishes he'd had a camera because he'd never seen them both so flustered at the same time

They have competitions about who can come up with the best dad joke/corny pickup line, and they usually end up laughing so hard they can't breathe by the end of it

They also love trying to make each other blush. Lucifer turns bright gold when he receives genuine affection. Vox overheats when either Alastor genuinely laughs, or Lucifer turns on the charm. Alastor hates that he turns bright red with either genuine praise or when his partners surprise him with something he enjoys (knowledge of jazz/radio, cooking authentic Creole meals for him, expressing real interest when he actually gets invested in something, etc.)

All three of them have weird little hyperfixations - Lucifer with his ducks, Alastor and furbys, and Vox is absolutely fascinated by the existance of Pastafarianism (the worship of the Giant Flying Spaghetti Monster). They all tease each other over their hyperfixations but will listen with the same fond looks when one of them starts rambling about it

Speaking of furbies, when Alastor unleashed the fabled Furby Organ, he played "Symphony No. 5" on it perfectly, and Lucifer and Vox were both awed and horrified

Lucifer always worries they will leave him just like Lilith did, and they both do their best to comfort and assure him otherwise

Vox is afraid that Alastor and Lucifer secretly think he barged in on their relationship, and they will playfully talk shit about each other until Vox is convinced he's both wanted and plays a vital part of their relationship

Alastor fears that they'll either decide he's not good enough because he doesn't like sex, or they'll find out he doesn't own his soul and cast him aside. They don't do anything about this because Alastor never tells them about his fears, instead letting them fester until they manifest as constant nightmares that he also doesn't tell them about

They have each others favorite food and drinks memorized down to the seasoning and temperature

Vox's love language is gift giving, Lucifer's is quality time, and Alastor's is - ironically enough - physical contact. Of course, this makes his touch aversion even more difficult to navigate

All three of them are incredibly touch-starved

Alastor learned how to rewire and fix televisions purely for Vox's benefit - he read three different owner's manuals and practiced on the tv in the lobby in secret

On Lucifer's bad days, Alastor and Vox will regularly check on him and slowly coax him out of bed

Vox is prone to viruses despite his firewalls, and Alastor and Lucifer take turns playing nursemaid when they get bad

When they learned Alastor suffered from panic attacks, Lucifer and Vox spent hours researching ways to help during, before, and after an attack, and learned the signs Alastor had that he was becoming distressed so they could make them less frequent

On that note, when they discovered that he had trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder), they got him different fidget/picking toys to negate the urge to pull his hair

I knew the movement, and the hands, and the stuffed animals reminded me of something!!

Feel a bit silly for not getting that right away. (but maybe that just say's something about the weird cultural space of E.T., and my generation's lack of interest in actually watching/rewatching it despite it's legacy >3>). Though to be fair, the creature design is intentionally giving 5 dozen different "nostalgic creepy cute gremlin/furby/aye aye/other touch stone" all over the place on top of E.T..

1: A jester furby!

I mean, come on... They are oh so adorable!! The checker pattern, the pompoms, the magenta feet...But unfortunately I don't think I'll ever be able to have one since they're so ridiculously expensive 😔 Whilst getting a picture for this post I saw one going for over $600

2: Slightly more attainable, the Valentine's day Furby!

I lovveeee Valentine's Day themed stuff (despite likely being arospec but cough cough we dont need to talk about that.)

I also just really love pink . Look at this cutie pie!! I love the brown eyes on it since it's like chocolate... The green looks really good too! Green + pink my favorite color scheme ever...

3: The Flamingo Furby!

Once again . pink. I chose this image because it looks like it's scheming.... Wonderful beast. Another one that's marvelous with every eye color . 10/10 creature I love these things !!

4: The autumn/witch Furby!

The little hat??? Is so cute ??? Just . Adorable I love it so much. I prefer winter and spring(we're getting to spring wink wink) as seasons, but autumn does have some pretty impeccable vibes . Especially on a furby.

5: Angel furby!

This probably should have been higher on the list next to the jester bc i was like. Vaguely organizing them from like. Most expensive/hard to get to easiest but i forgot 🙏

Anyways if you know me atall you know that I. Love. Angels. To a concerning degree. And the purple eyes ? Best design choice ever ?? Looks fantastic?? Really otherworldly while still being cute. Obsessed.

6: Spring time furby! (Baby or adult)

The light purple is just so nice... It reminds me of the lilacs that bloom in a bunch of different shades of purple at my grandparents' house during the spring, which makes it extra sweet looking to me! It's kind of confusing with the baby version that apparently wasn't special addition- but yaknow what it's cute so it's ok.

7: Lime Green Baby!

I cannot express to you how much I love this cutie... little keylime pie lookin ass. Adorable. Also green is my favorite color so-

8: Sunny Baby!!

Look at how delightful this creature is! This is the one I'm most likely getting soonish- I absolutely adore the sunny babies! They are just one of the cutest things on beautiful planet earth to me. I'm so dedicated to getting one of these sweethearts once I move I already have a list of name ideas... (Any suggestions would be welcome!)

Before I move on to the last two furbs, here are some honorable mentions:

9: Strawberry Milk furby!

Honestly I'd be happy with any of the 2005 furbies (the adult ones, not the babies... those were the only actually scary furbies lmao). They're all pretty pricey, but I think someday I'll be able to find at least one- I'd be satisfied with that. Also i really like this one specifically bc it reminds me of vanilla ice cream with red velvet chunks in it.

10: Funky Purple Furby!

Last but definitely not least!

Again- I'd be happy with any of the '05 furbs, but something about the green and purple here is so charming to me . This will probably stay a dream though, since the funky ones are even more expensive than the regular ones.

And that's all of my dream furbies!! It was mostly just an excuse to talk about the ones I like, i doubt I'll ever get my hands on most of them- but I had a lot of fun making this!

today's sewing noise were random animated movies i've never seen.

I enjoyed Paranorman, it's just i Hate when movies wash out colours and it bothered me the whole way through. It was actually unexpectedly touching though? And the gay thing at the end had me bark out a real loud laugh bc i did Not see that coming.

Mitchells Vs. The Machines, the animation! it was so fun! colourful and joyful and embracing the medium totally! The furby spoof on The Birds was fucking Genius. Sadly Father Mitchell reminded me a bit of my friend's dad through high school and I just... Couldn't get past it. He was only about 10% as bad but i did not need those memories resurfacing. It coloured my viewing experience. But objectively a very good movie, if about 30 minutes too long.

IT'S THE DAY BESTIE!!!!

It's blursed Nero Pig day! The day of his blursed birth! Happy Birthday, Nero Pig, my cursed icon.

The only thing is, I think it's tomorrow, actually, that is the blessed/cursed anniversary of his birth- and I only say that because there's a little bit of a backstory to Nero Pig.

So, a year ago tomorrow is the day that my Dad died. Which, like, sounds terrible- but, like, hear me out-

We were estranged, hadn't talked in years. I didn't even call him "dad" anymore- that's a title reserved for my step dad. And I knew he was going to die, because he had terminal cancer. It was one of those matter-of-time, but we don't know when sort of things. He lived pretty much exactly the 6 months they gave him in his prognosis though, so...there's that.

Anyway, even though we were estranged, I was still obviously torn up about it. It was rough. So, like any self-respecting Gen Z, I was obviously curled up in bed scrolling through tumblr to distract me from my woes, chatting with the mutuals. We were talking about my url and how I'm jokingly referred to as "nero" in my friend group, one thing led to another and I said basically that I needed a Nero/Guinea Pig fusion to represent me on the social medias.

And @avaantares went "give me an hour"

And thus was the birth of this abominable photoshop creation. It actually took a lot of work to get the colors to match right- more than an hour's worth of work. And she did it just because I was sad, and she wanted to cheer me up.

And, I don't know, guys- it is just a dumb little icon based off of an even dumber joke. But I'm a disgustingly sentimental person, and so something like this just reminds me that even when things suck, my friends (internet mutuals and people I actually get to touch grass with) will be there to help cheer me up. It's sappy and stupid but it does actually mean a lot to me.

So thanks to everyone who helped make that shitty day better, whether you knew what you were doing or not. Thanks, @avaantares, for making the cursed thing (it's better than a long furby, and somehow more cursed). Thanks, @princesssakurasylveon for helping make this the anniversary of the Most Joke of all time, instead of just something sad. I've yet to actually make myself a proper furbysona; now that you've reminded me this is just a thing I can do for my own enrichment, I'll probably do that as i rework my sona sheet lol.

But I have a d&d character meant to be a mockery (homebrew) that i had puppeting the skin of a furby before ✨️The Incident✨️, by some loose definition of a sona I think that counts? I like his design but i also based it on an actual furby from one of the newer generations. He's full of worms though, which is not included in the base model last i checked.

Also I don't think they sell them where I live but I haven't been to toy stores in a long while so it might just be me x]

Jack's Journey

The sole reason why I went to Krakow  were the mysterious mounds. Back in China, a dear friend of mine told me all about the fascinating and mystical mounds of Krakow. “We have high towers, the highest about half a mile in height, and some of them likewise set upon high mountains, so that the vantage of the hill with the tower is in the highest of them three miles at least.”  [1] I was eager to see the two special hills he described. Right after landing in Krakow [and of course after my afternoon nap] I hiked up the first mound. “It is but opening the eye, and the scene enters.” [2] "A wild longing for strong emotions and sensations seethes in me, a rage against this toneless, flat, normal and sterile life. I have a mad impulse to smash something, a warehouse, perhaps, or a cathedral, or myself, to commit outrages, to pull off the wigs of a few revered idols...” I mean, “When I watch Twitch channels it feels so overstimulating to me.” [4] This was next level. I started dancing with the Krakowens who were there, for, according to them “Dancing is the most common manifestation of sensuality as a mystery.” [5]“What it offers is not an even stimulation but excitement, ecstasy, intoxication.”

The whole city of Krakow below me suddenly seemed “ from great distances ... [alike] a texturally vibrant quality produced by these numerous blocks and action of the sun upon them.” [7]This is what makes the city so “vital, vibrant, vivacious. cinematographic.” [8]"I always wished to experience the city in this way, not just from the top of a mound."“Let my eyes too taste it to the full.”[9]

After a while, I made my way to the next mound. Everything already fell much calmer but when I reached the top of the second hill there was simply “Infinite emptiness!” [10] Just “VACUUM VACUUM VACUUM VACUUM VACUUM SIPHON!” [11]“No wonder trees did not grow on the side of that hill!” [12 ] After a few minutes, it felt like I was deprived of my senses. “Emptiness has no room for anything but more emptiness.”  [7] “The void is within, it is an inner space of positive multiplicity, or of lack.” [13] Krakow from up there seemed like a different place. Much less vibrant. I saw monotony, a certain calmness. “But it was also still, wonderfully still and vast like the cold stillness of space in which the stars revolve.” [3]

“I shall return to this emptiness.” [14] Back in the city, I talked to a Furby. Whilst starring into it’s LCD eyes, an idea flashed through my mind.

Part 2:

 “Welcome, citizen[s].” [15] to the Library of Totum, Jack Ma greets the visitors at the opening ceremony of the library. The visitors look around the newly built palazzo in the hill and on the hill, it is not clear what is hill and what is building. The inside though Is “opulent, with high ceilings and grand columns adorned with rich sculptures of lions, tigers,[and]other animals [...].” [16] “starting from there the city spreads out.” [17]“The atrium is a large space, several floors high” [18], “terrace room[s], whose dimensions have been made unknowable through arrangements of screens, walls, lights, mirrors, sounds, decoration” [19] evoke a sense of mystery. The dazzling mosaic floors “incorporate optical effects” [19] “...in geometric patterns in colored tesserae [20].” “[Furbies] in booths are on hand to keep order. [20]” instead of books, the library carried totums that reminds of clear eyes or pearls.

Yeah. I do get concerned for his health though, and I do hate it when there's stuff that could trigger my addiction and/or romance-repulsion + sex-repulsion though. I do like his testing, and voice-acting, and personality, and humor, and I know a kitchen chef who reminds me of him for some reason (it might mainly/just be the appearance). I personally never liked nor understood why people associated skull emojis with laughter, because they represent death and stuff, and death is sad and stuff (typically), and then it's somehow no longer socially acceptable to represent actual laughter with the laughing emojis, and death with the SKULL emojis! I therefore do like the fact that he says it ironically or something. My mom doesn't like his voice, and that's probably because it's emotional and loud and British or something - maybe also fast-paced. I personally like his videos - also I do have a mild squish on him (maybe not that mild due to how I experience platonic attraction, but whatever) - anyways, I actually do tend to read the whole post, because I like to have the whole context thing or whatever, and I even REWATCH his videos, because it's SO FUNNY, but I tend to not like the comment section, and to forget which ones I SHOULDN'T watch (because of my addiction and repulsion, you know)? I actually have first-hand experiences with Furbies - well, I'm gen z, so you can probably guess which generations of Furbies I had (the ones with plastic ears - as in, the Furby Boom one and the one before that), so, like, I can really talk about it. It's also disturbing to watch his Furby risotto videos as someone who is posic, but like, whatever, I guess. I do like his videos, even though there's all these bad things, but also, I doubt I can elaborate further of why.

I do also watch the other 2 YouTubers listed, though more of in a "I have to/I'm interested in the subject/I have nothing else to watch" way, because I just don't like their personalities - or, well, I can TOLERATE them - okay, maybe we could be ACQUAINTANCES, but I don't LIKE them, you know? I also watch other YouTubers though. Oh and also, I do fear they might trigger my addiction, but it's okay, that thing is easily triggered, man. I actually don't LIKE, video essays - I have a weird thing where I keep telling myself I'm bad or don't know shit, if I don't fully watch one, even of someone I don't like, or of one I don't wanna watch - like, "I don't know shit about art if I don't watch this" and I'm TRYING to get over it, and I AM getting over it, though sometimes it's about things I THINK I would be interested in, but NO, turns out, it's IRRELEVANT, and UNINTERESTING, and I've just spent an hour! Generally it's hard for me to do something - like, I lack plans, and I HATE that, and it's hard for me to even DO something, and then I feel guilt, and might get into my addiction, and sometimes things get better, and sometimes they don't, and vacation only makes things WORSE unless there's plans, but it's okay, because after vacation, I'm back - like I'm back to my number one emotional support human (I don't know if they know they're that but whatever, we're besties, my brain decided), and then I guess I'll at least be ON MY WAY, to be okay.

I would not recommend trying to take care of a tamogatchi.
