Just Friends?
Matsuoka Rin x Reader
a/n: did i write this during class? yes. do i regret it? not one bit.
this takes place during eternal summer (s2)
also i've never learned how to skateboard (strict parent tingz) but i do want to get into it someday (maybe if i move out for college)
skateboarding experts pls don't come for me
im probably never gonna write for smth like this again because the amount of embarrassment i got from writing this pLEASE THIS WAS LITERALLY ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE A SKATBOARDING DATE WITH RIN BUT NOPE
Word Count: 1.5k
The cool wind, entering from the window, flew past your face, brushing your skin. You laid on your bed, scrolling through the dozens of posts on social media, as you normally do on a late summer evening. Looking through the recent pictures of your friends and classmates, having the time of their lives, you sighed with envy. Your parents were on a business trip overseas, and you had to babysit your little sister until they came back. You couldn't go anywhere without bringing her with you, and since she was still really young, she'd have to sleep early, leaving you unable to go out at night.
As you continued to dwell on your sadness, you heard a ring from your phone, indicating a text message had been sent. Expecting it to be from your parents, checking up on how you and your sister were doing, it was quite the opposite. The message was from your childhood friend, Rin Matsuoka, asking if you wanted to meet up at the skate park, one of your favorite places. Ever since you could remember, you and Rin would go to the skate park, just blocks away from your house, and skateboard for hours on end. Of course, as Rin got busier with swimming, you guys weren't able to meet up as much, often leaving you to skateboard alone or with the other locals who also went there. The last time both of you had skated together was before Rin left for Australia, and it has been a few years since then, so you didn't mind going over there again. The only problem was that your sister would have to accompany you, and who knows how long she'd stay with you until she started nagging you to go home.
"Well, it's not that dark right now. We could just do some tricks on the ramp and be on our way."
Though, it was a bit strange. While you and Rin did reconnect after he came back from Australia and reconciled with the Iwatobi guys, the thought of seeing each other again didn't come up in conversation, at least until now. Seeing as he was the type to plan, this wasn't something he'd normally do. It's possible that this meetup could be more than just a simple reunion.
You got out of your bed and walked over to your sister's room. As she's playing on the tablet your parents recently bought her, you lightly tapped her shoulder to get her attention.
"Do you think you could stay up just a little later than your bedtime? Rinrin wants to see us at the skate park. I'll get your food after if you want."
The moment you said Rin's name, her eyes lit up. Because she was still very young before Rin left for Australia, she didn't get to see him often, but when she did, she'd have a great time talking to him. They were both avid swimmers, with her now being a part of the old swim club he used to attend with Makoto, Haru, and Nagisa. She's the one who came up with the nickname "Rinrin". She nodded her head happily and jumped out of her seat to get ready.
In relief, you went over to your room to grab your skateboard and gear. Almost forgetting to let him know that you were coming, you quickly texted him.
"I'll be there in 10"
_________________________________________________________________________________
In the distance, you could see your childhood friend's hair flow in the wind. As you and your sister approached the entrance, his eyes caught a glimpse of your presence. He noticed that you didn't change that much. You did get taller, almost his height, and he thinks you did get a bit more attractive. Other than that, he still sees the face of a friend he once played with here.
You waved over at him with a small smile, while your little sister ran to his legs and hugged them. Rin grinned and ruffled her hair, bringing his hand to your hair after once you got close enough.
"How have you been s/n? Are you listening to y/n? Are you still swimming?"
He started talking to your sister for a bit, mainly just asking about how the swim club was going and giving her a few pointers and tips to improve. Once he finished, your sister went to the benches and Rin looked over in your direction.
"Ready to go?"
"Hell yeah"
______________________________________________________________________________________
The thrill the two of you got from skateboarding again. It reminded you of when you guys were younger when the only thing you had to worry about was that one math worksheet you were given for homework. Once again, the cool summer night breeze blew past you two as you continued to skate and do tricks near the edge of the ramps. You guys kept at it for a bit, until both of you fell off your skateboards onto the ground while attempting to kickflip.
"That was fun"
"Yeah it was"
Both of you looked up at the sky, an empty void filled with tiny stars. The distance between you and him was just inches apart. He could smell the shampoo you put on while showering before. He took a good look at you, only now noticing how much you changed. You went from being the energetic boisterous child to a rather quiet and reserved teen. He longed to see the old you, one that wasn't constantly pressured by the expectations of your family and society. In the years that he was gone, he wanted to see you, grow with you, and be with you. When he told his homestay parents about this, they told him it was a crush. He didn't want to believe that; you guys were like brother and sister. How could he be in love? As much as he would like to say you were the one friend he used to love playing with all the time, he can't help but think that he could go past that, to become someone more than a friend to you.
After all, the real reason he called you over was not to simply reunite with you but to see if his so-called crush for you would rekindle.
Now he knows it did, and it very much was a crush.
"Is there something on my face?"
Shit. You got him. He didn't want to admit it. Not, when he's literally rethinking his life.
"You know, it's kinda refreshing, coming back here, reminiscing about old times. I know we haven't been together in almost 6 years, but now that we're here, I feel like we're kids again. Just normal kids being friends, you know? Just friends...."
You trailed off without ending your sentence. You wanted to finish it, but you didn't know how it would turn out. You didn't know if he'd take it well. Will he say yes? Can he handle it? Will your or his views on each other change if he accepted? You knew biting the bullet, and just spilling it would be better, but the thought of rejection paralyzed you from doing so. The years you two spent with each other, making memories and having the childhood of a lifetime, were you really going to possibly risk throwing it away just for the sake of feelings that may not even be requited?
Sure, it's been years since your crush on him has lingered on you. You thought by this point you would've already gotten over him, but that definitely wasn't the case. Ever since you came here, that was the only thing on your mind. You just want to get it out already.
"Just friends? Are we really just friends?" Rin whispered in your ear, making you realize. It wasn't just you; he felt the same way. It wasn't infatuation.
"I mean, do you want to be more than friends?" You said quietly. At last, you said it. You laid there, frozen, waiting for his response. As much as you could've just beaten up yourself for saying that, you felt a burden to come off your shoulders, even if his reaction wasn't something you wanted.
"Honestly, I'd like that. If there's anyone I'd like to be with for the rest of my life, it's you." Rin said suddenly.
You were not expecting that, whatsoever. Happiness has now filled your heart more than it did now. To him, years of pent up feelings for one another poured outright in that statement. To you, it was a revelation, a good one at that.
Finally, you looked into his eyes, and he looked into yours. The silence that was once tense like the blazing summer afternoons, was now calm and soothing, like the night sky. He brought his hand to caress your cheek, until your little sister, who you completely forgot about, yelled.
"NEE CHAN WHY IS RINRIN TRYING TO KISS YOU?!"

i really wish i hated you || tsukishima kei
masterlist | chapter 1 | 2 | 3
pairing: tsukishima kei x f! reader
sypnosis: It was an accident that (Y/N) met a certain tall, blonde male; a memory she isn't fond of remembering, but it is where it all started. And ever since, she magically makes her to his path. The image of the bespectacled man dwelled in her mind more than she thought. Tsukishima pushed away his softer emotions and denied their existence, or at least that's what he told himself. But then, he couldn't believe that this girl he labeled as a clumsy, unlucky creature who smashed his glasses is slowly bringing these strange emotions back to him. She might be irritating and dumb sometimes, but he couldn't get himself to completely hate her. Either that destiny was stupid, or he was blessed or cursed.
genre: fanfic, fluff
wc: 1039
warnings: mentions of injuries such as being hit with a ball in the face
It was the graduation day of the 3rd years in Kitagawa Daiichi, which marks (Y/N)'s last day of being a junior high student. The ceremonies ended well and she bade goodbye to the few people who accompanied and treated her nicely for some times.
Since it's still early, she went back to her apartment, changed her school uniform to casual clothes and went to the park. The fresh spring air blew gently as people went by while the kids play different kinds of sports. The nearby gyms must be filled with scary adults, huh? She settled down on an unoccupied bench and brought out her pencil and sketch pad. And there, she started to sketch everything that her eyes can see. She continued doing do for several minutes, until a soccer ball rolled to her foot and a bunch of children came near her. She kicked the ball lightly to them to avoid unnecessary interaction and go back to her drawing, but they won't get the message.
"Nee-chan, come play with us! It must be boring to be stuck with that assignment." A girl with pigtails said.
"It's not an assignment. It's my hobby." She corrected.
"Yet you look so gloomy while doing it." A boy commented. "Why don't you play soccer with us? Bet it's more fun than that!"
She sighed. Can you please just leave me alone?
She stared at them with dead eyes in an attempt to get away from their request, only to be stared back with those large puppy eyes that annoyed the hell out of her. She hate kids and they are asking the wrong person.
"Please, nee-chan! Let's play, let's play!" They came closer and pulled her sleeves.
"I-I'm sorry kids, but I don't know how to play soccer so can you let me go—"
"You don't know how to play soccer? Uncool."
"Huh, now you think you're good at it? Did you know that you suck at passing? You can't even score!"
"What did you say?! Take it back!"
They started their little childish fight. They got louder and the commotion they attracted people's attention, which is another thing she hates. "Fine, fine! I'll play with you, so stop quarreling!"
They immediately stopped as if everything was an act to make her agree, "Really?"
"You heard me."
"Yay! Let's go to the goalpost over there, onee-san!"
She took her sketch pad with her before she let them drag her to a small soccer court steps away from where she was seated. I hope the basics I know can help me.
They kicked the ball towards her, waiting for her next move. She's actually embarrassed because kids can be very unforgiving if they see someone mess up.
"Alright, let me clear things first. Onee-san isn't an expert to this sport, so don't go hard on me when I fuck up, okay?"
"What's fuck up?"
"I'm sorry, it's only a word I made. I meant messed up."
"It's okay, as long as you play with us!"
"So... here I go."
(Y/N) lifted the ball up with her foot, let it bounce twice on her right then left knee, once on her right and left elbow, and thrice over her head before dropping it to the ground. She was surprised that she managed to do it perfectly until she met eyes staring at her in awe.
The boys gasped, "That's so cool, nee-chan! How do you that?"
"Please teach me too, onee-san!" The girls jumped.
She smirked a little. Don't tell me they suck at this more compared to me that they think this basic move is already cool? I might have fun.
And so they played for the next minute and she taught them the proper basics. There were times that she'll trip and they'll laugh at her first before helping her up and did the same to them. She was thankful that they weren't the demon kids she thought. But they would step on her shoes that will test her patience.
They were kicking at random directions that (Y/N) had to chase the ball everywhere. Very tiring, but she had to keep up since their stamina won't run out any soon.
"Protect the goal!" The other kid shouted.
It was her turn to score. "Get ready!" She warned and aimed to the goal.
But a mistake happened.
"Excuse me! Watch out!"
She kicked the ball way too hard and it didn't go to the direction she aimed at. She internally cursed as I ran to warn the person on the ball's direction, but it was too late. The ball hit him square in the face. She stopped running midway because of sheer embarrassment, but she had to help him.
"I-I'm sorry! I'm very sorry!" She apologized, stammering, "I didn't see you right away, are you okay?"
"Do I look okay to you?!" He replied in an irritated voice. He winced in pain as he covered his face, particularly around his eyes. She just noticed that he was wearing glasses and she realized how painful the impact must be.
"Tsukki! What happened?! Are you okay?" His friend rushed to his side.
"I-I was playing with the kids and accidentally kicked the ball to his direction, please f-forgive me..."
"Accidentally? You looked like you intentionally kicked it in my way! Do you even know how to aim the ball right? If you can't then you should stop playing the damn sport!" He spat.
She was so ashamed and mad at the same time. Everyone was looking at her and she wished that the ground would eat her alive in front of him, yet her feet froze on the spot. She knows she did something wrong, but he doesn't need to diss her like this.
"I'm sorry if I'm bad at soccer sir, but I didn't intentionally send it your way and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience I've caused." She stated and bowed.
She went back to the field without daring to look back at his face to forget what happened. She was about to talk to the kids when...
"Hey." The blonde male called, "You broke my glasses."
The first part might be bad, but a story gets better as it progresses.

Cerulean
● AN: Thanks to @succulent-momma and @drabbles-blurbs-words for editing this for me. A quick note before reading this Japan doesn’t foster in large numbers. So most orphans or neglected children go to a facility called “Children’s homes”. Also, I wanted to take on the trope of the hero “breaking their lover’s heart to save them” usually it ends up with the said lover being heartbroken for years before the hero finds them again and voila! Everything is fine and dandy after the truth comes out. I really dislike this trope so I wanted to do a prompt to expand more on this.
● Warning: This prompt includes underage sex between two minors, explicit sex, consensual sex, and angst read at your own discretion. For those who are Nana fans I also warn you read cautiously.
● Young All Might x Fem Reader
●●●●●
Y/N frowned at Nana-neesan; her frown became even more severe at the sight of the taller blonde man.
“What do you want, nee-san? You made it clear that you didn’t want me to interfere with your work when you left me here,” she murmured under her breath while keeping an eye on the blonde that was nervously looking from her older sister to her.
Here being the children’s home for abused and abandoned orphans. Yes, she had a living older sister who could have taken care of her but chose not to due to her dangerous job as a Pro Hero complete with a maniacal evil villain.
Nana sent a sorrowful smile towards her.
“I know you aren’t happy with my decision, but I promise I would rather you be alive here than dead with me. You being alive in front of my eyes means everything to me even if it means that I won’t see you as often.”
Y/N had heard this speech over and over again, she should understand her intentions by now, right? She understands that her older sister spends time-saving the entirety of Japan, but all she wants is to go home and see her family regularly. She wanted to see her infant nephew that was only 3 months old. So, she should understand, but Y/N couldn’t help the bitterness bubbling inside of her.
Nana gestured to the man next to her.
“This is my student and successor, Yagi Toshinori. I want you and him to get along. Think of him as your oni-san. He’ll protect you when I can’t,” she told her. The glint in Nana’s eyes showed the pride and joy she held for her student.
That revelation only made things worse for Y/N. What was nee-san doing now? Picking up strays off the street and replacing her real siblings? Sure, she didn’t have a quirk like nee san’s, but it didn’t mean she was worthless. It didn’t mean she deserved to be abandoned at a children’s home.
Y/N sent a vicious glare to the man well more like boy named Yagi.
“He is not my oni-san. I might live here right now, but I have a family. And I don’t remember my parents having a boy,” Y/N growled out and sent one last look at her sister. She seemed to be pleading with Y/N before a resigned look settled in her eyes.
She stomped over to the caretaker and told her that the visit was over. The official just nodded and politely asked Nana-neesan to leave. She only stared at Y/N for a few more moments before heeding the request and leaving her alone again in the facility. It shouldn’t hurt, after all, she had already been here since she was 15 and now her 16th birthday was only a few months away. And yet, to see her sister’s back as she left again, it tore another piece of her on the inside. The worst thing was Y/N should hate her with every fiber of her being, but she couldn’t. She wanted her family and her sister. Not this stranger who upheld the One for All legacy over the cost of her own blood.
So, Y/N hardened her heart and trudged back to her shared room with another abandoned girl who only smiled in sympathy at her plight.
“Ne Y/N, look I bought some snacks from the nearby convenience store with my allowance. Want some?”
She shook her head at the girl’s earnest look and scooted over to her friend. “I thought you were on a diet.”
Her friend only shrugged and held out a chocolate bar which Y/N took a generous bite out of.
“Trust me, whenever these parents or foster people come to check on us. We need this!”
Y/N didn’t voice her agreement out loud but took another bite of her chocolate as the two lonely girls chatted and comforted each other for the sorrows that were beyond their control.
●●●●●
Unfortunately, that last disastrous visit was not the end of it. It seemed Yagi had taken it upon himself to befriend the lone sister of his teacher. He started showing up at the facility even without nee-san. Y/N didn’t ask him if her sister knew what her student was doing. At first, she refused all visits from him, but he left presents for her. Snacks, chocolate, makeup (haphazardly bought but luxurious nonetheless), and even envelopes with small amounts of spending money. Finally, she got fed up with it and confronted him.
“Do you think I’m cheap and easy that you can buy my affections with all this stuff? I told you I don’t want another sibling, nor do I need one,” she huffed angrily at him. The idiotic man just smiled with jubilation in return to her censure. “Why are you smiling? Do you think making me angry and upset is funny?”
He quickly crossed his hands in an X and shook his head. “No! I’m just happy you’re finally talking to me and I get it. I know that it’s weird for someone to come out of nowhere and act like your brother. But that’s just Shishou’s wish for us to get along.”
Y/N could feel her annoyance build up and replied, “well it’s always been about what she wants isn’t it? Never about what I want or what my wishes are. Did she even think about how I would feel when she brought her student to meet me and ask me to treat you like family when she left me here? No, she didn’t! Just like she didn’t consider how all of this is impacting me. Does she even care?”
The last part ruined her and the lump in her throat caused her voice to break as she voiced out her deepest fears to the guiltless boy in front of her. Yagi stepped in front of her and grabbed both of her shoulders. Y/N let out a gasp when he pulled her close and she could see the depth in his ocean eyes.
“Gomen. I can’t say I know everything that happened between Shishou and you. I can see that her sacrifices have hurt you and nothing I do will ever erase those hurts. I won’t ever replace the family that you had nor the sister you want. But I can be the friend you need.”
His eyes shined brightly with resolve and she wanted to believe him. Y/N was so tired of this past year, everything that could possibly go wrong had gone wrong. Y/N tried to slip out of his strong grasp and separate herself from his expectations.
“Please,” he urged softly.
Y/N looked back into his eyes and felt her trepidation crumble.
“Fine. We can try being friends, but the second you act out of line. You will stop visiting me.” She warned him.
Again, he sent a delighted smile her way and brought her in for a tight hug. Y/N felt her cheeks heat up and tried to push him away from her.
“Thanks! I promise you won’t regret giving me a chance.”
Y/N scoffed and pushed against his strong chest even harder. “I already do,” she murmured to herself as the overly joyful man finally let her go.
●●●●●
Over the next couple of months, Toshinori made good on his promise and she saw him more often than her sister. She saw him after he got accepted into U.A. and he shared his elation with her. She saw him as he failed several times to defeat someone named Gran Torino. She even stayed and listened to him as he babbled on about her nee-san’s ideals of saving people with a smile. They grew closer than she ever thought possible. And so, it wasn’t a surprise that closeness evolved into something else.
“Here you go, Y/N-chan!” he handed over a gift wrapped up nicely. Her 16th birthday had included well wishes from the caretakers within the facility, her roommate, and her too often absent sister. But Toshinori had held off the celebrations until he was able to get a reprieve from U.A. to visit her.
She read the card first, it was a sloppily written card with her name on it. Y/N snickered at the butchered Kanji rather than the expected elegant calligraphy from her sister’s protegee. Finally, she took apart the present. It was a picture of kittens with bows on it. She felt her eyebrows twitch and sent Toshinori a glare. He knew how badly she wanted a pet, but the facility wouldn’t allow it.
She took the frame out and held it up to hit him with it. “You jerk! How could you do this on my birthday!”
“Wait..Wait! It’s not what you think!” he yelled out while avoiding her hits easily.
She huffed and said, “explain now! Before I beat you senseless with this cute frame.”
“Do you remember that kitten you saved from the streets and brought them to the nearest vet? Well, one of those kittens are him and the rest of those kittens have all found homes. They were going to be put down in the shelter due to limited space and because they were FIV positive. However, I’ve spent time and money to ensure that all of them found homes.”
Y/N looked down at the frame and sure enough one of them resembled the orange fluff ball she rescued from a storm drain.
“I know it’s not the pet you wanted. But until you can get one for yourself. I hope this is enough.”
She stared at him unblinkingly and he started getting unnerved with the way she was insistently staring without uttering a word.
“It’s a bad present, isn’t it? I’m sorry I thought it was a good idea and I’ve never bought a gift for a girl before. You know what? You can keep the frame and we can go out for dinner instead. My treat- Mprrh!” His rambling was cut off by her lips capturing Toshinori’s.
He didn’t waste a second, tugging her into his arms, and responding with fervent enthusiasm. He felt so warm, she couldn’t remember the last time someone just held her. First, she had lost her parents. And then her nee-san increasingly disappeared on her heroic crusade until she finally dumped her at this facility. It felt so right in his strong arms and a sigh of content escaped her as his tongue traced her lips as if asking for permission. She granted it and fell into a deeper escape. For the last few months, since she had gotten to know Toshinori, everything felt lighter. And the fact she was forsaken no longer weighed heavily on her being. He was the first good thing to happen that was entirely hers. Y/N’s feelings only grew more severe when she saw the depths he would go for her. But she feared that his kindness was something he shared with everyone or that he only cared for her because of nee-san. But now she could feel his tongue explore her mouth with zeal, tempting her body to respond with needy whimpers. Y/N was sure that her fears were unfounded. They only separated when air became necessary but even then, they stayed engrossed in each other. Toshinori rested his forehead against hers. She was unable to look away when he looked at her with such unrestrained and open adoration.
“Is it .… always like that?” he asked as he gasped for breath.
“I’m not sure,” she admitted, afraid to let him know that he was her first kiss.
He only stared at her with starry eyes and no judgment as he brought her into another kiss and another; until she could no longer spare time as curfew forced her to return.
The rest of the year was spent with them sneaking out to meet each other whenever it was possible. Her nee-san seemed suspicious at the newfound familiarity between her imouto and student. But at the same time, she was relieved to know there was someone else to look out for Y/N. She never did suspect that the way Toshinori and Y/N were spending time was hardly in a way that normal friends ever attempted.
●●●●●
One particular weekend Y/N found herself at Toshinori’s apartment. He stayed there whenever he wasn’t training or was at U.A. It was a fairly decent apartment. It lacked any personal items only containing the necessity. She waited patiently in the apartment while the blonde went to the restroom. She couldn’t help herself when she went exploring through his space. Opening doors and peeking inside whatever that was unlocked. Y/N always did have a habit of being nosey and a sneak, so she didn’t think twice when she came to Toshi’s room and swung it open. Though, even his bedroom wasn’t much to look at; except he had a nice large bed instead of a futon. She was just about to leave disappointed when she spotted a sparkly gift bag tucked away on a desk.
Now normally going through people’s gifts and precious items was going too far even for her, but that gift bag’s logo was familiar to her. It was the bag of the most famous lingerie brand in Japan. She didn’t buy lingerie for herself, but she did buy regularly their bras and panties whenever necessary. So, the fact that her boyfriend had something from them in his room and she didn’t know about it, well she felt justified to look through said gift bag.
Y/N sifted through the purple wrapping paper and a receipt before coming across a babydoll lingerie. She breathed a sigh of relief when she realized the garment still had its tags on it. Did that mean Toshi bought it for her and had yet to give it to her? She had to admit his taste in lingerie was very tasteful. It was sheer mauve with black trimmings on its edges and with a matching panty. Though the amount of lace on the fabric was kind of surprising, he didn’t seem like the type of guy who would like lace.
“Hey, are you in here?” Toshi yelled out when he came into the room only to let out a strangled gasp when he saw her standing there with the babydoll in hand.
Y/N only raised her eyebrow meaningfully at him.
“It’s not what you think!” he stuttered trying to find an excuse as to why he had that in his room. “Ok. It’s exactly what you think….. I like lace?.... And I thought you would look pretty in it?”
See if she didn’t know Toshinori as well as she did, Y/N would have thought he was lying. But she knew it was the truth; from the way he looked directly in her eyes and the fact that every time they got intimate, he acted angsty. Like he wanted more. She waited for him to ask permission to go further but he never did. Maybe this was his way to suggest it without putting too much pressure on her.
She looked at the soft revealing garment in her hand and his panicked face. Y/N started unzipping her hoody and let it fall to the floor.
His breath hitched and he murmured, “w-what are you doing?”
“Well, you bought it for me, didn’t you? Don’t you think I should try it on?”
Keeping eye contact Y/N unbuttoned her jeans and tugged them off too. She then reached over and pulled off her tank top and added it to the pile. Toshinori on the other hand had his entire face flushed red. His eyes wildly moved from her face to her body as if he didn’t know what to savor first. She reached behind and unbuckled her bra from its hook. She made sure not to look at her boyfriend while she shed her panty. Her last piece of clothing as she didn’t want to lose her nerve. Grabbing the babydoll she pulled it over her head and the slick material slid down her body. It barely covered her butt and her nipples strained against the material.
“So, what do you think?” Y/N asked with a nervous smile.
His nervous composure disappeared, and he confidently strode towards her. He touched her hair and loosened the bun she had pilled her hair in. Her long hair fell in waves and framed her face delicately, he smiled at the sight she made.
“Now it’s perfect. You look beautiful,” he said as he reached down to kiss her.
She didn’t know how they got from standing and kissing softly in the middle of the room and to his bed. Toshinori somewhere along the way had shed all his clothes, settling his hard body against her soft curves. Her first time was everything she imagined, the love in his eyes as she trusted him to take care of her. The horror stories of how much it hurt weren’t true in her case because all she could see was the exquisiteness of the ocean in his eyes. Did he know how expressive they were? They told so many stories from just their azure hues. She had seen them in sadness, fear, and joy. But they never shined with such brilliance until she stared above at him caging her tiny body protectively.
“Toshi.. hnggg~..” she whimpered out as he roughly palmed her breasts over the mauve intimate apparel.
He wouldn’t let her take it off, preferring her in it. Saying he liked the way her body appeared so sinful and tempting while she blushed and squirmed underneath him.
She let out another gasp when his cock slid in with the exact angle she needed, and her body arched accordingly. She spread her thighs more and hooked them around his waist so that he could move in easier without many obstacles. It felt like a warm entity had entered and filled her up just when she needed it. She felt Toshinori’s large hands secure themselves around her waist and lift her entire body. She let out a yelp and then a loud moan when he slammed her back down.
Y/N could vaguely hear his praises amongst his groans, the sounds of the bed slamming against the wall and the obscene wet sounds of their sexes intermingling. He told her how gorgeous she looked and how much he loved her.
She could feel herself spiraling before she lost it again and again. Y/N realized with frustration that Toshi was purposely changing his rhythm and speed.
Once again when her pleasure stopped midway, she let out a sob.
“Please, baby. I c-can’t.”
“Not yet. I promise I’ll give you what you need. Just wait,” Toshinori crooned as he ragdolled her body with his powerful thrusts.
Her short-bitten nails dug into his skin when she felt him lap at her perky cleavage. The thin soaked fabric clung to her body lewdly and it only encouraged his explorations. She grabbed the back of his head and encouraged him to suck the other neglected breast. When she felt him gingerly lick the fabric that covered the taut nub before sucking deeply, she finally lost it. Her muscles started squeezing around his member and the flutters started pulsing. The pulses came faster and faster as he helped her ride it out.
The base of his cock felt heavy and tight. Toshinori slipped out of her surging cunt and spilled more of her juices onto his bedsheets. Keeping her thighs together, he used her thickness to stimulate himself and spilled his cum. He watched captivated as his sticky fluid ran down her thighs.
The two lovers drifted off to sleep after their exertion. And when Y/N returned to the Children’s home the next day only to be punished for staying out without permission, she couldn’t help but think it was worth it.
●●●●●
Y/N ran through the hospital at top speed, trying to dodge oncoming patients and nurses. She spotted Toshinori standing next to a curiously short man.
“Toshi! Are you okay? I heard you and nee-san were involved in something big!” Y/N asked in a panic looking over his bruised and bandaged cheeks.
She looked up at him worriedly when he cupped her face gently.
“Y/N, Nana-shishou is… She’s gone.”
It felt like her entire life came to a standstill. “Gone where? Toshi, that’s not a funny joke,” she observed his face looking for any signs that he might be kidding, only to realize he wasn’t.
“No! That can’t be true. Nee-san was strong there’s no way!” There were no tears or anything that might qualify as grief. Instead, she felt anger.
“Of course! She left me here all alone! All for what??! A country that doesn’t even know her name? She’ll be forgotten like the rest of the heroes! Nobody’s going to remember her and what about Kotaro? Did she even for a second think about what would happen to her son?” Her rage growing more incense by each sentence.
“Now listen here, girl! I don’t care if you are family, but I will not let you belittle her sacrifice!” The old man butted in.
“Who the hell are you? And why are you butting in my business?” She snapped at the Oji-san that barely came up to her hips.
The old man lifted his hand like he was about to hit her when Toshinori stepped in.
“Gran Torino, please Y/N’s shocked right now. There’s no need for that.” He grabbed her hand and took her away from the hospital.
They both stood outside as the cloudy weather and humid air swarmed to create a gloomy atmosphere. She sobbed in his embrace as he hugged her close.
“I’m sorry. It’s my fault. Shishou was protecting me. If only I was stronger then I could have saved her.”
Y/N could have blamed him, but there was no point because taking it out on her boyfriend would not bring her older sister back. So, she only hugged him tighter as if she was trying to prevent him from leaving her too.
●●●●●
Although, she should have known in hindsight that people who were meant to leave always did regardless of what you wanted. A month after nee-san’s death, Toshinori stuck close. But as timed passed, he no longer could afford to as he had to up his training to fight the villain that caused her last remaining family’s death. He was drifting farther and farther away despite her clinging to him. She felt helpless.
So, imagine her surprise when she saw Toshinori waiting for her at the Children’s home as she returned from school.
“Toshi! You’re here! This is a surprise!” she squealed with happiness and kissed his cheek quickly.
She looked around to see no one in the garden behind the facility and so she pressed her lips against his in haste.
“I’ve missed you so much,” she murmured only for him to relinquish her hold and step back. His action caused her to flinch and her heart to clench. Y/N had a terrible feeling, was someone else dead now too? Was it Kotaro? She only knew that her nephew was given up to adoption.
“Toshi? What’s wrong? You’re scaring me.”
Toshinori only stared at the ground for a few minutes, his bangs hiding his face.
“Y/N, you and I have been together for a year and a couple of months, now right?”
She hummed an affirmative and shuffled closer to him only for Toshi to step back further.
“When I first saw you, I didn’t think we would make it this far. It wasn’t my intention. But we’ve come to care for one another. And I can’t lie to you anymore. I once told you I love you. And you told me the same, even now you look at me with expectations and love. I just can’t do this anymore. It would be wrong of me to lead you on like this.”
The words weighed upon her like someone was compressing her chest. Y/N suddenly felt like she couldn’t breathe, her heart racing out of control.
“What are you saying? This doesn’t make sense just a few months ago you were telling me you loved me. Toshi, why are you lying to me? And why won’t you look at me!”
He looked up from the ground to reveal his vulnerable eyes. The same eyes that would showcase how much he cared for her. Now they were filled with fear, only to harden with determination.
“I’m not lying. I did love you months ago. But now that Shishou is gone and I’m left with her legacy. I need space and I need to grow. I don’t need someone who will cling to me and expect me to solve all her problems! You’re suffocating me and I can’t breathe around you. When you needed me months ago, I felt like I could make everything better for you. But now I know the truth that even heroes can’t save everyone-“
She interrupted his tirade with a choked sob and his face twisted with agony.
“Get out,” she whispered.
Just like all those months ago when Nana-neesan left her behind at this lonely place, Y/N hardened her heart once again.
“I said GET OUT! I don’t want to see your face again!” She screamed.
“Y/N, I—” He reached out to her.
“Don’t! I never asked for your help. I never asked for you to come save me. I was fine by myself then and I’m going to be fine now. So, I’m giving you your freedom. Get out, Yagi Toshinori.”
She waited a few minutes for him to leave, only he wasn’t. He kept staring at her with torment.
“Fine, I’ll do you one last favor because in the past we loved and respected each other.” With that, she left him in that back garden only to keep walking until that facility was out of sight.
●●●●●
Y/N realized years later that the people who leave and those who you leave behind don’t really disappear from your life. The experiences and memories she retained left their marks on her like a blueprint. So, she instead decides to fill those spaces with new passions and loves. Y/N graduated from college and eventually went on to become a teacher. She figured that either she could despair about the circumstances she was dumped with or she could turn it into an opportunity.
While remaining under the custody of the prefecture she was able to get financial help to further her education and make something out of her life. All the while searching for her last kin, Kotaro. There were a few paper trails as to who exactly adopted her nephew, but they lead nowhere; she kept an eye out for any information regarding him.
As she moved on and created a life for herself, he eventually came back to Japan. Bursting into the scene as a top hero, it was hard to see him at first. But even that ache disappeared as his face cropped up on every single piece of merchandise possible. She even reluctantly bought an All Might ramen only because that was her favorite flavor and it happened to be endorsed by him.
But she never did expect to meet him face to face years later.
●●●●●
A villain cackled as the hostages and Y/N waited anxiously for a hero to rescue them. She was just minding her business, trying to deposit her usual check when this unfortunate incident happened. However, she didn’t realize that the more frightening individual was the man coming to rescue them. Not the low tier criminal. All too soon she heard his joy-filled laugh, it uplifted the spirits of those surrounding him and flooded her up with more regret.
‘I should have just stayed home. This could have waited till tomorrow.’ She couldn’t help but think.
When everyone else was rescued, she kept her head down trying to escape before he noticed her. There were like 50 other hostages hopefully they won’t notice. But luck was not on her side as an EMT called her over and began checking for signs of distress. Y/N only scowled with annoyance at the pestering man who seemed to realize she wasn’t too happy and was all too eager to let her go.
Unfortunately for her, she also got stopped by an officer who wanted to take a statement. Regrettably, Y/N couldn’t intimidate the officer into letting her go and with reluctance, she started answering her questions.
“Name, age, and occupation. And what you were doing at the bank?” The officer drawled.
“My name is L/N Y/N and I’m 26 years old. I’m an elementary school teacher and I was going to deposit my recent check when this event happened.”
The officer continued with her bored composure writing down the answers before letting Y/N go with a bow.
She sighed with relief and was about to step away when at the same time she saw All Might turn around after talking to a detective. The two looked across each other through the mayhem and made eye contact. Even from far away, she could see the way his eyes widened, and his jaw dropped in surprise. Her face paled and she quickly took off in any direction trying to avoid the man she hadn’t thought about in years.
Y/N ran for blocks, hightailing it in her heels. The awful shoes pinched and dug into her feet. But when she stopped to see no one pursuing she relaxed and thought that the pain was worth avoiding the awkward past.
Only for All Might to come flying through the city and landing unceremoniously in front of her.
‘This just isn’t my day is it?’ her thoughts spiraled as she longingly eyed the street behind the robust hero.
“Y/N! I’m so glad to see you! I’ve been looking for you, but you disappeared after graduating college,” he began.
“Well, that’s what happens when you don’t want people to find you. Toshinori, why were you looking for me? We aren’t friends and we didn’t end on a good note. There’s no need for happy reunions now are there? Excuse me,” she replied trying to bypass the hero.
He grabbed her hand to prevent her from leaving.
“Wait! That’s what I want to talk about. When I left, I said some horrible things to you and despite everything, I still care about you. I never should have said any of it to you especially knowing what you were going through.”
Y/N paused and listened to his words; she licked her dry lips nervously and wondered if his words held any merit now.
“Back then you lied, didn’t you? You were leaving for America and so you decided to pick up on my nee-san’s bad habit of lying and misleading people to protect them.”
She turned around to face him, the man that broke her heart all those years ago.
“H-how did you know?”
Y/N let out a weak chuckle. “I tracked him down. When we broke up and I eventually lost my pride. I came to find you and convince you to give us another chance. But the Oji-san told me you already left for America. And that’s when I knew you were lying. I suppose you learned from the best. She never told me the truth, you know? I never knew about the burden of One for All and I never knew about All for One. All this time I was kept in the dark and I had all these questions running through my mind. I’m not sure if the answers would have made me happier but I would have eventually understood. And she even took that away from me.”
Y/N finally took a close look at Toshi and noticed all the hard edges to his face. He was more mature, and his body was rippled with muscles. But his eyes were still the same. Those ocean eyes she loved so much.
He looked at her sadly and bowed deeply. “I’m sorry, Y/N. Please forgive me. I just wanted to keep you safe. I lost Shishou and I couldn’t lose you too.”
She felt embarrassed at the reverence Japan’s biggest hero was showing her, a nobody.
“Please, there’s no need for that. I’m not mad anymore. I’m happy for you, Toshi. And I’m happy for your success.”
He straightened up and gave her a wobbly smile that didn’t suit All Might. Y/N decided this emotional reunion was getting too much for her, she stepped around him once more. He once again grabbed her hand to prevent Y/N from leaving.
“Where are you going? We just met after so long.”
Y/N only smiled sadly at him.
“I’m tired of people lying to me and I’m tired of waiting for people to come back.”
He only looked confused and tried desperately to reassure her.
“I’m right here in front of you and I’ve come back.”
She placed her hand on top of his and slowly unraveled his fingers and his tight grip.
“You didn’t come back for me. Go become the symbol of peace like she wanted. I’ll be watching and cheering you on. Safe and sound from afar like you wanted, but just not with you.”
Toshinori was speechless for the first time since he appeared in front of her. His eyes’ shine now seemed a bit duller and suspiciously wet.
Y/N repeated his earlier gesture and bowed deeply to him with respect.
“Thank you so much and goodbye, All Might.”
He didn’t try to stop her that time and let her leave. As Y/N walked down that empty street and looked above to see the crescent moon shining brightly, she couldn’t help but think to herself that she was all grown up now and no longer needed Toshi or nee-san to feel whole.

all of me - sakusa kiyoomi x reader
eehee here i come with another sakusa fanfiction because I CAN and I WILL!
i know it’s bad no need to tell me
so the volleyball player to fall for today is, obviously: sakusa kiyoomi
and the word count: 3889
and the summary quote: If you'll ever see me acting like this idiot, it'll mean the world is ending.
and let's go!
**
You were completely bored. Like, totally, one hundred percent spiritless, sitting on the stands, and noting all the line ups the Itachiyama Academy's Volleyball Team tried, as they started to practice before nationals. You were already here for three hours, and they still didn't seem to be close to finishing, even though they still had plenty of time before the contest, and plenty of condifence in their own abilities, after all, they had both the best wing spiker, and the best libero in the country. As their manager, of course you knew that.
And yet still it appeared as if they didn't. They were still working overtime, though their coach already went home, you saw all of them upset and tired, but none of the players dared to tell captain Tsukasa it was already time to go home. How long are they going to overwork themselves, you though, until someone passes out?
"'Nee-chan!" Komori yelled, and you looked up from the sheet of paper you caught yourself doodling on, instead of noting. Were you his sister? No, but a childhood friend, so he reffered to you like that ever since you could recall.
"What's up, Toya?" you asked, leaning over the security bar to hear him better. Even from over there you saw him being all sweaty and obviously tired.
"Can you bring us our drinks, please? We don't have any time to waste" he requested, and you gladly nodded and started walking towards the locker room. It was finally something else than writing down everything they might need. You entered the room, and found the box with the watter bottles already set up there, relieved you didn't need to open any of these smelly boys' lockers.
You picked it up and left the room, stopping to lock the door behind you. The box was kinda heavy, but you didn't complain, since it was your only distraction from the overwhelmingly dull training session.
"Guys, have a break already, I brought drinks!" you shouted, smiling from ear to ear at the fact that someone is finally going to talk to you after three hours of sitting there alone.
In fact, you were so happy about it, you forgot one important detail, that you were on the court and they were still practicing.
You suddenly saw someone run right in front of you, as if he wanted to cover you, but he didnt make it on time, and the ball, approaching you with killer speed, hit you right on the head. You remember it hurting briefly, and then it all went dark.
"What the hell?" your childhood friend yelled, the rest of the team shocked upon seeing such a goofball upset. He looked over at the kid who was spiking, a first year, currently standing there and scratching his neck in embarassement, as the angry libero was killing him with his look.
But turns out he wasn't the angriest person in the room.
"I'm sorry" the boy mumbled, subconsciously hiding behind Tsukasa.
"As you should be!" the black haired boy yelled, getting down to his knees.
Ah yes, your another friend, Sakusa. He was Komori's cousin, but moved here much later than the libero, and even so, you didn't see him much before you went to the same high school. Motoya always said he was kind of shy, but you never noticed. If anything, he was confident about himself and even rude sometimes.
You never knew how they got along so well, but it was probably the same case as with many childhood friends - they got so used to each other, that they couldn't imagine a life where they're not friends, even though they were like fire and water. One was always happy and it was rare to see him without a smile painting his lips, and the other, well, it was even more exceptional for him to grin.
But at that moment, both the fire and the water were at unison, glaring deadly at everyone, as they kneeled beside you.
"Nee-chan? Can you hear me?" panic raised in his voice, as he got no response from you. "Nee-chan?! Kiyoomi, why isn't she answering?"
"Because she's unconscious, you idiot" he answered, but his attention was suddenly somewhere completely else, as he felt his captain's hand on his shoulder. He shivered, as he moved away, and the older boy kneeled down to you as well to guage the situation.
"Alright, let's not create fake crowd here. The team has a moment to rest, Komori, you stay with miss manager, and Sakusa, come get the nurse with me"
"Is the nurse still in office? It's really late" he complained, but got up instantly, and followed his older collegue."
Meanwhile Komori really didn't know what to do with you, so he just sat by your side and whined as if you were dead. The captain raised his eyebrow and looked at him with pity.
"You know what, Saku? You stay there, you're more composed than him." he told his spiker in a low voice. "Komori! I changed my mind, if you want to help, then come along" Upon hearing that, Motoya was hesitant, but eventually nodded and walked up to the captain.
Normally, Sakusa would ask if he really has to be the one to deal with the situation, but this time it was concerning you, so he walked over gladly, and picked you up, one hand supporting your back, and the other near our knees.
His heart beat like it was going to jump out, and he felt the need to be left alone constantly, already tired from practice, both physically and mentally, but realized he wouldn't have it any other way but to be the one to look after you.
He sat on the bench, and put your body over it, your head resting on his thighs, so it would be higher.
He felt the urge to run his fingers through your hair in a comforting manner, or at the very least squeeze your hand, let you know he was there waiting, but a sudden wave of doubts hit him, and he decided to stay still.
When you came back to your consciousness, the first thing you saw was his worried face. You freaked out, knowing how uncomfortable it made him, being this close to anybody, and tried to lift yourself back up, but your head hurted too much. You instantly went back down, but not because of the aching on your forehead, but because something forced you to, something being a strong arm.
"Stay still for a minute, would you?" your friend asked, a bit annoyed, but also concerned, from what you could read from his expression.
"What happened?" you asked in a faint voice, so weak, actually, that upon hearing it, he frowned and looked over at you.
"That included talking" he only added, but after a minute of silence, decided to explain "You got hit on the head with a volleyball by some idiot."
Hearing Sakusa speak, some of the first years came closer to look, including the one to blame for the whole situation.
"A-are you okay Y/N-san?" he asked quietly, and you nodded, but Sakusa waved his hand as if he was whisking away an annoying fly.
"Back off, idiots, let the damn girl rest" he growled, rolling his eyes. Truth be told, he was just trying to get them away from himself, because he started to feel uncomfortable having all of them looking down at him, but conveniently, you were now his shield. "If you're all so energetic, then come back to training, we still suck at blocking with the new rotation."
Then he noticed, that all the second and third years were already back at training, so the ones that were left were only the newbies.
Maybe one or two of them will get a place in the game, one in a starting line up, some will become pinch servers, but for them, this year was just a trial run of Itachiyama's discipline, before they get to the first squad eventually, or maybe never.
"Why aren't you training then, Sakusa-san?" one of them got the courage to say, before getting absolutely slain by his irritated eyes.
"Because I don't suck at blocking" he bit back harshly, and relaxed a bit on his chair, a newly found confidenve flowing through him after the burn he just did.
They all went silent for a second, and went back to training with disappointed looks on their face, mumbling something about their ace being a douchebag.
He wasn't, though, he was always really respectful, even with his insults, but all it took was to push him just a tiny little bit over his edge, for him to get not salty, but straight up rude, as it was his defence mechanism for having his authority undermined in any way, or his personal space interrupted.
"You're an asshole" you whispered, your voice still kinda sleepy, as you were overall shaken, and your forehead kept pulsating like crazy.
"And you're mean but we don't talk about that, do we?" he replied, eyes fixed or something far in the distance, probably the holes and errors in someone's spikes, so he could later "give his honest opinion" and roast only the people who pissed him off. You laughed, but suddenly stopped, when you noticed your head hurting more. "How're you feeling?" he suddenly asked very gently and softly, his whole expression changing when he looked you in the eyes, and then quickly faced away.
"My head hurts" you complained, and he chuckled.
"Yeah, well, I figured, they all have some strenght in their arms here, you know?"
"Why show it off on my head?" you whined, and he gave you a slightly condesending look.
"Well, he was practicing, and you weren't supposed to be on the court"
"You're saying this is my fault?" you wanted to get up and show your irritation, but he shook his head with a slight smile, and pulled you back to your previous position.
"Which part of resting didn't you understand, stop moving so much. And no, of course it wasn't, if he did it like I asked him to, he wouldn't hit anything but the floor. You were on the very edge of the court, if he aimed it right, it wouldn't even come close to you"
"If he did like you asked, huh? Are you suddenly a teacher, Omi?" he faced away, feeling heat coming to his cheeks, he didn't want to risk you seeing him blush at the nickname he pretended so hard to hate.
"No, but I am considered a better spiker than him, so why wouldn't I be giving advice?"
"And to think Toya described you as shy and humble, before we met" you recalled a moment from almost five years before.
You and Komori were sitting on the bench, waiting for Sakusa to show up, because for weeks your friend was trying to get you two to meet each other.
"So how is he, Sakusa-san?" you asked, even though you've heard thousands of stories about him. From what you knew then, Sakusa was a shy teenage boy, who doesn't talk much and prefers hanging out outside, rather than inside malls or café's, is very nice and polite, and plays volleyball really well.
"I told you a million times already, are you THIS excited to meet him?"
"You wish" you said, grinning widely "I'm just curious"
"Well, if you start off by saying you heard he's good at volleyball, he'll instantly say you don't know that because you never saw him play. If you say you've heard a lot about him, he'll turn red and will want to kill me. And if you ask him to say something about himself, he'll end up talking about Lady"
"Lady?"
"His cat"
Then suddenly, you heard footsteps behind you, and turned around to see a tall thirteen-year-old, his curls everywhere around his pale face, probably in a mess because of the wind, a facemask lowered down to his chin, glaring over at Komori.
"Motoya"
"Kiyoomi! Finally! Please, meet my friend, this is Y/N."
He gave you a slight bow, or more likely a nod, smiling politely as he responded.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Sakusa Kiyoomi"
The first thing to pop into your head was obviously 'I know', but you decided not to say that, because of what your best friend had said a couple of minutes earlier.
"Y/N" you said, smiling back at him. "Nice to meet you, too. How're you?"
"Well I was just about to finish an episode, when this guy called me to come meet you two, so I'd say I'm not so great. Plus, what do you have to say about my cat, Komori?"
"So harsh, Omi"
He made a disgusted face.
"Don't call me that you idiot"
You smiled at yourself then, trying not to laugh at how different this guy was from his description, and smiled now, as you were laying in the same guy's lap, which he'd never allow to happen five years ago.
"I am humble" he responded "That's a fact, not an opinion"
"Sure" you mumbled, placing your hand over your forehead, as if you were trying to get the pain to go away. He noticed the movement, and turned back to you.
"If it's this bad then here" he said, leaning over to grab something located several seats away. Next, he put his cold water bottle against your head, and didn't even let you hold it yourself. "Does this help?"
"How should I know, it's only been like, three seconds" you responded sarcastically.
"Hey, stop being salty, I'm the one taking care of you"
"Are you, though? Or are you using me as an excuse to get out of practice?"
He was in fact, really tired, but would've keep practicing if it weren't for your condition. He had a habit of doing things till he finished, even if it meant passing out in the process, or something.
At that point, his mind was already racing in all the different directions. Were you seriously thinking he didn't care? Wasn't it obvious? Maybe no, and if someone is injured, then he must feel taken care of, but not overprotected, as his father always said, when he made him bandage his own aching wrists when he was younger.
"Alright, well, let's see if you don't have any concussion, alright?" he asked, but didn't wait for any answer. "Where are we now?"
"Itachiyama's gym?"
"What's my name?"
"Why would I forget your name?"
"Just answer, oh my god, I know what I'm doing" he sighed.
"Wakatoshi Ushijima" you laughed, and he gave you a disappointed look.
"Very funny, oh god, aren't you just the queen of humor. Is your vision blurred, or doubled?"
"No, I only see a huge jackass in front of me, is that a symptom?"
He didn't even respond, just hid his face in his hands and let out a supressed, exhausted groan.
"Alright, I see you don't have any trouble speaking either, so let's just say you don't have a concussion, and we can keep patiently waiting for the nurse"
After that, silence fell upon you two, both not knowing what to say. Here you were, laying on the thighs of your crush of four years, and even in a situation like this, you didn't know whether he wanted to keep it that way, or run off as soon as possible. You suddenly got embarassed, feeling the heat of the athletes body next to your cheeks, and were unable to say anything, at the same time desperately wanting him to maintain the conversation. He, on the other hand, was so fixed on keeping his heart rate at a reasonable pace, that he wasn't capable of doing anything more at the moment.
Because there he was, with his crush of four years,
And still didn't know what to say or do, mind still stuck at the thing you said about him only being there with you out of convenience, and at every time in that conversation that you called him a jackass, or an asshole. He really wanted to be sweet, but well, that wasn't in his nature. It wasn't like him, and even after spending all these years with you, he still wasn't certain of anything he felt, didn't want you to feel the way Komori told him he made another girl feel, when he was nice to her all the time, and then declined when she wanted to go out with him. What if he'd say no out of nervousness and you'd get the wrong idea? It was too risky. Besides, getting this close to somebody meant going on dates, meant going somewhere public, meant showing affection, meant being there for someone at all times... all those things he had no idea how to do.
So I guess, he thought, I'd rather be the asshole.
"Hey, Omi?" you suddenly asked.
"Hm?" he mumbled in response, being pulled away from his rapid train of thoughts.
"Your undereyes are really dark, did you notice?" you said "And your hands look so red, and violet even, like if someone beat you up"
"Nobody beat me up, silly, that's how it is after practice"
"I always see you two after practice, and not once were they this color"
"Maybe you have trouble with vision, after all" he sighed, looking down on his hands, noticing they really are badly bruised. How come he didn't feel it before?
"Nationals aren't here for a long time yet. It's still four months until january, why are you already like this?" you asked quietly, but it was a different type of quiet. It was more of the 'tell me what you did now, you idiot, I'm already disappointed in you'. It must've gotten to Kiyoomi, because he avoided your sight, and clearly hid his hands behind him.
He left you without your reply for an awfully long time. Stared at the ceiling, at the practicing boys, even checked the time twice, but still didn't reply.
"Uhm, it's that, I always practice spiking when—" he couldn't finish, because there was your best friend, running through the gym, captain Tsukasa following him with an apologetic look on his face, two paramedics behind them.
"Thank god you woke up already, Nee-chan!" he yelled, almost falling to his knees when he tried to sit in front of the bench while still running. "How's your... how's your everything? How bad does it hurt?"
He was shaking your entire body, and it made your head hurt worse, but you couldn't help but smile. You looked over at Kiyoomi.
See, that's the reaction.
If you'll ever see me acting like this idiot, it'll mean the world is ending.
His expression said everything, as he helped you sit up, sitting very close to you, so you wouldn't fall if you suddenly felt dizzy.
It made him feel dizzy, though.
"Komori, pull yourself together, you called the ambulance for a reason" he reminded his cousin, tone as sharp as broken glass, and the libero only nodded, and sat on your other side.
For someone who hates hospitals as much as Sakusa does, he was very near the situation the whole time, he didn't go back to training at all, even though he technically didn't need to watch over you anymore. You wondered why, after all, he didn't care, right?
The men checked everything, and as it turned out, your forehead was already painted with all shades of purple, but there was nothing that required transporting you to a hospital right away. If you were to feel dizzy or have difficulties with walking or speaking later in the day, they made you promise to either get to the ER with your legal guardians, or call the ambulance once again, and after a ridiculous amount of checkups, they left.
It was already evening, when the boys also decided to call it a day and finish up the training. You saw how they were all exhausted and weary, and you somehow felt guilty for stressing them like that, so you wanted to leave as soon as possible.
"Hey, kid" you stopped the first year who hit you, when he was leaving the building. He turned around, his eyes puffy and red. "It was my fault. Don't worry about it" you smiled "I mean it" and turned away to go get your stuff. He ran off thanking you, and you shook your head while laughing.
Sakusa and Komori came back from the lockers a while later and decided to chat with you for a bit before going their separate ways.
"You feeling alright there, dummy?" the taller boy asked, his voice as casual as ever. You nodded, but Komori didn't find that enough of an answer.
"Do you want us to walk you home? We can surely do that, right, Omi?"
He looked confused.
"Uhm, sure we can. And don't call me that, you idiot"
"Guys, I'll be fine on my own, no worries. You're both exhausted, go and rest already" you really meant it for the both of them, but your eyes were fixed on Kiyoomi, who avoided looking directly into them as much as possible.
"Alright then. See you tommorow, remember we're doing a research paper together, so if you'll be late to class again, I will literally strangle you" Sakusa said, leaving you with your friend, turning around as soon as possible.
"Rude as always! Remember to actually rest, dickhead!" you shouted behind him.
"Don't move around too much, bitch!" he replied, waving, but not facing you, and closed the door behind him.
You laughed, but it was bittersweet. You liked the energy and chemistry you had, the whole insulting each other thing, but you'd much rather stop being 'dickhead' and 'bitch' and start being 'honey' and 'baby' or something as sickly cheesy and annoyingly cute as that.
It was dumb, you knew that, but wouldn't it be fun to hear it from him?
Wouldn't it be... comforting?
"You know" Motoya said, smiling at the door, already closed shut. "It's not that he doesn't like you, or something"
You laughed again, and the sacrasm could be felt from a mile away.
"I know he does like me. I am one hundred percent certain he does"
I'd just like him to love me, is that too much to ask?
You left the big gym, Komori locking the door, and started walking towards your house. The sun was already halfway through setting down, your head still hurted, and you noticed you were terribly tired, to the point your eyes were half closed, when you heard a sudden whisper from your bestfriend.
"It's not like he doesn't love you, either. I know my opinions about him aren't always accurate, but this, this I'm sure of. He's just afraid."
Afraid he'll be the asshole you call him as a joke.
Or maybe more afraid you'll be the bitch?

For how long had I wandered around without a destination?
It wasn’t like I had regained my rationality, but when I noticed it, all “voices” had quieted down, and only a faint noise brought by human activity reached my ears. Amidst it, I could hear the distant peals of folk music echoing from far behind me. Immediately, I realized that it was the BGM of the fireworks festival venue. I had apparently ended up coming to a place pretty distant from it.
Without turning back, at last, I lowered my hips onto the bank’s sidewalk. The murmuring of the river stirred up a sense of loneliness within the thin darkness. The dark gray concrete felt cold, and that in turn made me even more disheartened.
“Mary...”
Really, I’d done something stupid. Even though Mary was finally looking forward to it, rather than just the fireworks, everything was ruined.
I had the intention of coming to a clear decision. For Mary’s sake, I had prepared myself to forget about everything completely. Except, when I was before the names of those guys lined-up on the screen, I couldn’t manage to stay calm, no matter what.
I wondered if the arm I grabbed had hurt. I pondered over what kind of feelings Mary had when using the Concealing.
No, I’ve known this since long ago. Whenever I or Kido activated our Abilities, it was always when we were going through anxiety.
Back then... our joined hands had caused Mary to experience anxiety.
A strangled gasp. Tears helplessly overflowed. I had no face to show myself to her.
On that day, after Kagerou Daze swallowed our “enemy” and “comrades”, Mary and I were the only ones left in that place. My memory was fuzzy from the point where I had carried Mary, who wouldn’t open her eyes, until we had arrived to the hideout. I remembered things from the point where Mary had “smiled” at me upon waking up and looking at my face.
It was unthinkable for that girl to be smiling in the aftermath of a gruesome battle where we had lost our companions. I realized at that moment that Mary was suffering of amnesia. I couldn’t place my finger on how much she didn’t remember exactly, but at the very least, it seemed that all of her memories regarding the fight had dissipated.
Having noticed that, I was indecisive about whether or not I should tell her everything. That we had lost irreplaceable friends. That we were living on while sustaining ourselves on said friends’ lives. And that “we had to live on” from this point onward.
There was no way I could tell her.
My indecision lasted for all but an instant. During that instant, her expression of despair that had crossed my mind made me helplessly terrified.
I would throw away everything and protect only her smile. She didn’t have to reminisce to a past that she had forgotten. If she recalled it, she’d collapse. I couldn’t make her go through that by any means.
And so, I had spent my days until today keeping up appearances.
I had watched the animes she liked with her. We had gotten chills in our stomachs at the supernatural feature of a variety show. We also had found out that there was a delicious restaurant nearby and treated ourselves. She had been peeking at my carrots, so I divided them in half and we ate them together.
In order not to grant a single drop of sadness to that innocent girl who didn’t know anything, I had spent my time looking after and thinking about her only.
The city lights were reflected on the river’s surface, twinkling like a starry sky. When I thought that there were people’s daily affairs and lives comprised in each of them, they felt like something terribly realistic and dirty.
Any and everybody put up façades, nourishing darkness inside their hearts. Though they’d say, “I like you” with their mouths, they’d be saying, “I hate you” in their minds. Tough they’d say, “Thank you” with their mouths, they’d be saying, “Drop dead” in their minds.
For me, who had been hearing “voices” since before I became aware of the things around me, this was more common and strange than anything else. Everyone was living contradictorily, and if you turned over one layer of the thin skin of this world, which seemed beautiful at first glance, it would dull out into something similar to hell.
Right. On the day I had first met her, I was also running away from the “voices”, just like today. That day, the trigger for hearing the “voices” of people I was passing by in the city had been a “voice” that resembled Kano’s. This “voice” had said something horribly foul with the exact same tone as Kano’s, so I was instantaneously engulfed in unease at it.
Everybody in my family were good people. Kano, Kido and Nee-chan had treated me so well that it was lamentable. That was exactly why I was so, so scared of the darkness in my family members’ hearts above anything else that I couldn’t help it.
“What if Kano hates me?”
“What if Nee-chan thinks of me as a nuisance?”
The moment I had thought about it, as if a hoop had disconnected, my control of my Ability stopped working. At that instant, I was swallowed by “voices” that were like an avalanche of abusive language. It hadn’t diminished one bit even when I bolted back home, so I ignored the words of concern from my family and blindly flew out of the house.
I believed that was probably the day I had run the biggest distance in my life. I had run, run, run and run, and before I realized it, I became unable to hear anyone’s “voice”.
By the time I noticed that I had gotten far from the city and gone into the mountains, away from human civilization, I couldn’t see anything in my surroundings. I didn’t know the way back, nor could I spot any supplies to rely upon. It was just that the darkness was more comfortable than anything.
Back then was the first time I had heard her “voice”.
It was almost as if everywhere around me had been painted in the colors of light – that was the kind of impact it had. There was no two-facedness to it, and I didn’t sense the slightest bit of stagnation in it whatsoever. Without thinking, I simply had my heart stolen by the “voice” – which was beautiful even – of that girl, who was but in love with the world and had her chest swelling at the happiness that would visit her one day.
Thus, I dashed with my aching feet as if dragging them on, and the person inside the house that I had arrived to was no one other than Mary. The light pink eyes of Mary, whose white hair was swaying, were transparent like gems, reflecting my figure. At that instant, although I was a child, I understood something. That “I was born to protect this girl”.
From that day on, my head had been full of her.
The world, opposing to her fantasies, was brutal. It was a dent of hatred, spinning stale thoughts into a whirlpool. If a girl as innocent as her attempted to go out into it, her pure-white heart would end up dyed black.
I always thought that I’d become strong for her sake. If it was for protecting her, I seriously though about turning into the prince charming from fictional stories that she wouldn’t stop yearning for.
For me, there was no other reason to make me think, “I want to live” in this world, filled to the brim as it was with stale “voices”.
Even when I wound up hearing the “voice” of Clearing, which had been residing inside Dad, and when I learned that my family and I would be murdered, it was Mary that mostly crossed my mind. I couldn’t leave her alone. I didn’t want to let her experience sadness no matter what. The more I thought about that, my heart, which made light of my family and friends, was tainted black in a dark, ugly way.
When I heard Kano’s cries on the night before the decisive battle, too, I had suppressed the emotions that I was about to vomit out and desperately kept myself under control.
Kano was... He was truly a good guy. If anything, I’d wanted to shoulder together the things he had been burdening himself with. He was more kindhearted than anyone, knew my thoughts better than anyone, yet he was also awkward... We siblings really were exactly alike.
I had measured even him on a scale with Mary.
Nevertheless, I couldn’t do anything in the end. I hadn’t fought and hadn’t been able to leave it all behind, just kept running away, thus arriving to this point.
Her smile was everything. It was my only “happiness”. Yes, that was what I had supposedly decided, and yet...
“I was wrong,” my own “voice” echoed in my ears, not letting go of me.
Suddenly, a single sentence was revived inside my head. Having come in contact with helpless seriousness, I let depreciation spill out without thinking, “I’m sorry, Ene-chan. I can’t do anything...”
On the day of the decisive battle, back when Azami attempted to summon Kagerou Daze to swallow Clearing, I had been ready to “throw away my own life”, like Kano and the others. It pained my heart to leave Mary behind and depart by myself, but Ene-chan and the others would definitely come for her aid – I had no choice except to believe in that.
Yet, right after Kagerou Daze appeared, Ene-chan’s tone of determination echoed loud and clear, reaching my ears, “I will be the one to go, so everything is fine. You’re probably the only one who can protect that girl.”
Why hadn’t I realized back then that those words were directed at me? I had only found out that she offered her life in exchange for mine when everything was over and I spotted Kano’s phone cracked on the floor at my feet.
Hit by a memory, I had abruptly taken my phone out. Above a picture of Mary that I had made into wallpaper, only a few numbers displaying the time had appeared. Of course, there had been no display of anyone’s call in the history either.
If I’d had the courage to fight, I wonder if it would’ve made any difference. I wonder if it would’ve changed the plot of this tragedy that one couldn’t even bear to look at.
No, there was no way I could do that. Someone as weak as me, who’d ended up letting go of even Mary’s hand, surely wouldn’t have been able to accomplish anything, no matter what I might’ve done.
Squeezing my phone’s dim screen with a lot of strength, I gritted my teeth.
What was that “I’ll protect Mary” about? What an overambitious thing that I ended up thinking, when I could do nothing but be rescued, be sheltered and run away.
There was no longer anyone left from my family and friends. I could no longer hear anybody’s “voice”.
I wanted to see Mary. I wanted to see my friends. They could hate or disdain me for all I cared. I simply wanted to have just a conversation with everyone together once again...!
“Are you crying?”
A voice.
“You okay? Were you lonely by yourself?”
I certainly heard Mary’s voice. I frantically got up, desperately looking around the area, but couldn’t find Mary’s figure there.
Was it the effect of Concealing...? No, that wasn’t it. Just now, I’d heard the voice from so close that it seemed enough to touch her.
Then just how? What’s going on right now...?
“Se-Seto! I’m here; right here.”
For a second, I doubted my ears. Mary’s voice had definitely come from the phone I was holding. Surprised, I dropped my gaze to the phone’s screen. “Eh?”
In it, just like how Ene-chan used to do before, Mary’s figure was flightily drifting about inside the screen. I stared, my mouth dumbly agape.
“Aah~, you finally noticed! Sorry, did I scare you?”
“Y-You did...”
My head couldn’t catch up with what was happening in front of my eyes, so I couldn’t contain the loud beating of my heart, which seemed like it was about to burst. The phenomenon before me was without a doubt something brought by the Ability that Ene-chan used to have.
Mary currently had four Abilities in addition to the Combining, which she already had. There was no reason for her not to use them, but to think she had become able to use even this power after the Concealing...
“Mary, why’re you doing something like this out of the... Actually, where’s your body? Don’t tell me you left it somewhere.”
“Wah, wah—Calm down, Seto! It’s okay, ‘cause it’s... right here.” Within the screen, Mary’s facial expression clouded over a little.
“Where? I’m coming right away, just tell me the pla... ce...”
The oozing pain that burned my chest interrupted my words.
“I’m coming right away”? Who was saying that and with what mouth? What could someone like me, who had deceived Mary and tried to forget his friends, say to Mary upon “seeing” her after this? Did I seriously think that continuing a daily life painted in fabrications was for Mary’s sake?
I had long realized it already. I couldn’t become a prince charming. I was a half-assed “monster” who could neither stop thinking about Mary nor forget our friends.
It was okay if she thought it was too late for this. If I told her everything, she might cry. Even so, I didn’t want to taint her any more with lies.
“Mary, there’s something I wanna talk about. I want you to hear it,” I said, unable to look at Mary in the face.
She would probably think, “What’s he saying all of a sudden”. I wondered how long it would take me to explain one thing at a time. After I conveyed it all, would she ever accept it?
Mary definitely didn’t know anything. She was someone pure and innocent, who I had to protect. Right. Knowing nothing about Mary, I had been convinced of this to a shocking extent, until she replied to my words.
“I also have something I want to talk about,” Mary said with a voice I didn’t know. “Let’s go, Seto. Everyone’s waiting.”
I climbed the stone stairs one step after another. The flame of the lanterns was out, so my field of vision, reduced by the thicket on both sides, was dyed in the shades of the night.
I could no longer hear Mary’s voice from the phone squeezed in my hand. And I didn’t ask her anything either. Only the quiet sounds of me stepping onto the gravel scattered about the stone stairs repeated itself. I also couldn’t hear the commotion at the far-off fireworks venue anymore. The cries of summer bugs was remiss, and not even the presence of living creatures could be felt. The tranquility surrounding the house that Mary used to live in the past existed here.
Were people being kept out? Or was there another meaning to this? Either way, the only thing I could somehow tell was that this discretion was due to Mary using the Concealing.
Within a silence that made it seem like everything had died out, only Mary’s words kept crossing my mind and disappearing. She said she “had something that she wanted to talk about”. And also that “everyone was waiting”. Did she know something I didn’t? And why did she have to tell me about that?
How awful. Maybe, somewhere in my heart, I had the feeling that she was incapable of analyzing the matter in its entirety, as if I knew everything about her. Honestly, there was a limit to how arrogant I could be, trying to play the “prince charming” who would protect her when I was such a mess.
Surely, everything would end today. Still, in contrast to this definite presentiment, I couldn’t imagine that outcome for the life of me.
And so, I finally reached the top.
The open grounds of the shrine were deserted, as the sounds suggested. I swallowed dryly at the frame of a pure-white back that I spotted on the stone road leading to the main hall.
“How?”
I realized it with just a look. Mary’s figure as she turned around was transformed, just like on that day. Her cheeks bore those scales that had been gone ever since that day, her irises swaying red like fresh blood. As if responding to my words, Mary’s slit, snake-like eyes slightly narrowed.
“Thanks for coming. This place was best for me, no matter what.”
The way she talked was Mary’s, but the usual weak feeling to them was nowhere in sight.
As I was about to ask, “Just what is going on?”, Mary’s words, which seemed to be see-through, came flying at me, “Is the Stealing okay? I’m sorry; I was also surprised, so I couldn’t contain the Concealing...”
I couldn’t hide my shock at each of those words. Was there any moment until now where Mary had said the names of the Abilities?
While I was so confused, as if taking notice of it, Mary cut off with an “I’ll be the one to talk”. “There’s something I have to apologize for. I’ve been thinking all this time that I had to say it, but I couldn’t.” Mary closed her eyes, looking apologetic.
I couldn’t even nod at the unexpected, sudden confession.
“That day... ever since the fight ended, I’d always been lying to you.”
My heart clenched at the word “fight” that came out of Mary. It was a word I had made sure to never utter, from that day until now.
“L... ‘Lying’...? Also, you said ‘fight’, so Mary, your memories...”
“I’d remembered it all along. Nothing was forgotten. I caused a misunderstanding... because I was smiling back then.”
Shades of extremely deep grief resided in Mary’s facial expression. My train of thought mixed up chaotically at those words and that face.
Mary hadn’t forgotten anything? That couldn’t be; it was impossible. That day, at the hideout, after we had come back from the fight, Mary was definitely smiling. Seeing that, I had figured Mary didn’t recall anything.
I mean, why would she have smiled if she remembered it all? There’s no way Mary would laugh immediately after sobbing at the death of our frie...
“Laugh”?
A single surfacing thought began crumbling down the shallow presumption that I had been believing in from the head.
I was wrong. Mary didn’t laugh because she wanted to laugh. The meaning of that smile, it couldn’t be...
“You did that so I wouldn’t worry?”
Mary nodded a little at my words, smiling without any strength. “Yep... I mean, Seto, you were making such a sad face. If I’d cried too, you would’ve gotten even sadder, right?”
A lenient wind silently blew through the shrine grounds. Faced with the truth that pierced into me, my body became flaccid, like a thread that had been cut. As my feet could no longer support me, my knees hit the ground with the momentum just like that. I could sense a dull pain from them, but my head was so clouded that I couldn’t even feel it right.
I was being saved by her all this time.
Mary had been putting up a smile ever since that day so that I would smile. Mary had kept pretending that she had lost her memories so that I wouldn’t be sad. How absurd of me to think that Mary would break down if she found out about the deaths of our friends. Not only had she accepted their deaths, Mary had been protecting me.
Had I been looking properly at her face? Listening properly to her words? Didn’t she go out shopping and said she would “help” with chores because she was desperate to support my “fake daily life”?
As I simply sat dumbfounded without replying, Mary continued, “But I thought this couldn’t go on. You doing your best to forget everyone was all my fault... that’s why I’ve been thinking. Together with him.”
Mary’s finger abruptly pointed at the air. Her index went right over my head, stretched toward behind me. As I turned around with my knees still on the ground, the figure of one of our members, who had probably just climbed up the stone steps, was there. His outfit, consisting of a sky-colored shirt under a vest and shorts, had not changed from the day of that decisive battle.
“Hibiya... kun...”
As I called his name weakly, Hibiya-kun scratched his cheek, looking awkward. “It’s not like we were planning to trick you or anything. She just said that she wanted me to keep quiet.”
“Thanks for coming, Hibiya-kun. I... already told him everything, so it’s okay.”
As the two took turns to speak with each other, I hastily made my head catch up with their conversation.
How had Mary contacted Hibiya-kun? It was obvious – by using the Stirring.
Mary remembered everything about that fight. She had always been thinking about them, who had fought desperately, protected us and tried to accomplish our strategy.
“Don’t ever give up on the future”.
Mary hadn’t forgotten about the goal that we all carried with us back then. This girl was far stronger than I thought. She wasn’t afraid of tainting her pure whiteness.
After that day, Mary definitely had been using the Abilities to keep up with the plan together with Hibiya-kun. Amidst the loneliness of losing our friends and the pressure of being entrusted with the future, she had frantically made sure not to show those feelings to me by any means. And with those same feelings, Hibiya-kun had assisted Mary. Surely, his eyes had kept looking into the unfinished future. That was exactly why he had showed up here like this.
Aah, no good. I can’t muster a single word anymore.
Wasn’t I the only one who had given up everything for Mary’s sake yet didn’t manage to do anything on my own? Even though Mary was fighting wildly against despair...!
As I sat pathetically at the center of the shrine grounds, I let out a sob that I couldn’t repress. Casting aside my shame and dignity, I was seriously helpless simply for not being able to repay them.
Someone please sentence me. Kill my coward self. Please, I’m begging...
“It’s okay; don’t be scared...” A “voice” echoed in the darkness, “Don’t blame yourself, Seto.”
Don’t, Mary. Stop.
“Nobody will hate you, Seto. I know you fought.”
I have no right to be hugged by you. I shouldn’t be forgiven.
“Thank you for always protecting me. Thank you for always cherishing me.”
The “voice” destroyed my world, which hadn’t changed in anything since that day. Yeah, I had devoted my life to that voice. Even so... I...
“Thanks to you, I started liking this world a lot.”
When I opened my eyes, I saw the most beautiful tears in the world. I would certainly never be worthy of those words that expressed such endearment, like light, like flowers and like hope.
I wanted to protect her forever. I wanted us to overcome that endless summer together. If God didn’t have an after-summer in store for us, I wanted to make one with her.
Ever since that time, I had always been helplessly in love with this girl.
“Hey, Seto. I wonder if we’ll get to see the fireworks clearly if it’s from here.”
My unfulfilled wishes dissipated like the summer. In this place, where sounds and light were nowhere to be found, the only thing that definitely existed was warmth.

Strong and feisty
Hello! this is going to be a a story that might take up a lot of chapter but I'll make sure to link every new one!
All love interests will be Aizawa, Hawks, Dabi, Shigaraki
Chapter 1: I am Y/n, --- Y/n
Prologue
Run... just run! Don’t look back-- or they’ll take you back to that horrible place!
A h/c kept running through that forest, never stopping to take a breather or even look back. She kept running till her legs were either bruised up or had enough running thorough the roots, if she trips she gets up and quickly sprints into to the forest. She didn't like the life she had there in that laboratory with that sick scientist that had weird like looking monsters that had their brains out, she was lucky she had didn't met the same fate as the other people had met before her.
It was like any other day for her with her parents in the park but then they were suddenly captured and been experimented on and turn into some kind of ‘Monster’. She was lucky enough to not shout or scream when they forced her to take thousands upon thousands of shots, she didn’t knew what was inside those syringes but she took it and hoped that on of those syringes didn't end her life. She been watching everything happen right in front of her eyes unconscious but she couldn't speak nor move, nothing hurt her of course she was glad they put anesthetic on her, she couldn't be more glad about that.
But what she couldn’t take was her watching all the other captives that were captured were either slowly turned into ‘monsters’, her parents, she couldn't see where they put them or what have become of them, she was sure she would never see them again. There was always that one boy, with blue hair? His skin was flaking of he was always staring back at her with those red eyes, she couldn't look away even though she could see him. One time, he got a bit to close to touching my face but the scientist who was experimenting on me wasn't too happy about this and limited the boys contact with me from then on.
One day, the boy snuck in and got too close, I think he called him Shigaraki, as he was about to reach me he suddenly disintegrated the restraints that were keeping me straight and stuck there. I didn’t know what to do next but when the restraints were disinterested he suddenly spoke to me,”That man told me that after he’s done building you, you’ll only listen to me and me only. Don’t worry I wont’ break you..”, that alone triggered something in me to push him out of the way and escape this laboratory, I never want to be ‘his’ pet or be anyone pet. I don’t want to ever been in their hands, not ever I’d rather die than accept this fate.
__
After weeks of running around town, was found by a hero named Ingenium who took me under his wing when he saw what state I was in. He was still a new hero but he already had a large amount of fans and people supporting him, you were glad you were saved by him. Since you didn't know how long you were trapped into that laboratory, Tensei brought you to the police station for questioning as your family was missing for months and no amount of investigation was enough yo track down you and your family after you were captured. You shared every experience, basically everything what happened to you in those pass months, as a 7 year old it could have made you broken and unable to function but that didn't stopped you from continuing to move forwards.
You didn't have any relatives that were close enough to take you in, so Tensei decided to take you under him so you gathered al the things you had in your old house and said good bye to your parents. The Lida family accepted you with open arms and your life was once again filled with happiness, you somehow wished your quirk was the same as them but you knew that wasn't going to happen not when your born into a family that has their quirk under the fire category.
You were also there when little Tenya was born, he was so cute! You cooed at how cute he was, Mrs. Lida was really happy that you were there to watch over him after school even teaching him with, Tensei was pleased to see I was really liking little Tenya. When my quirk started to develop I saved Ten-cha, a nickname I gave to Tenya, from getting on fire. We were out for a family dinner and we decided to go our separate ways while in the mall, we walked pass a group of workers who were delivering gasoline. Unfortunately something tipped over one of them and was close to hit little Tenya if it wasn't for my fast reflex to grab him and switch places with him, I got gas split all over my left arm and half of my shirt.
The workers who were handling it as well as Mrs. Lida and Tenya were horrified,”Y/N-CHAN!! Oh no, are you okay? Did you get hurt?!”, she kneeled down and got her handkerchief from her bag, she caressed my right cheek as she starts to wipe off the gasoline that got on my skin. Tenya was crying his eyes out while apologising a million times,”NEE-SAN!! I’M SORRY!! I DIDN’T MEAN TO BE SO CLUMSY!!”,he cries out while wiping his tears with his arms.
I smiled softly at him and start patting his head softly with my right hand,”It’s okay Ten-chan, big sis was saw it about to fall off. It’s only natural to protect my little brother right? It’s okay, its not your fault!”, you softly told him while comforting him. Mrs Lida tears up a little bit as she makes sure to wipe off all the gasoline with her handkerchief,”I’ll call Tensei to buy you emergency clothes and you guys”,she looked at the workers who were now sweating when Mrs. Lida looked at them with an angry face. The workers continue to say sorry while bowing down to them, I tired to calm down the both of them saying I was okay and that I wasn't hurt. I saw a figure that moved behind the workers and since everyone was distracted they didn't saw the figure lighting up a match,”MRS. LIDA, TENYA WATCH OUT!!!”, I quickly pushed them both away from me.
The fire quickly traveled down to me then suddenly it was all slow motion, the workers scrambled to get away from the fire, Mrs. Lida screamed as she tried to get out of the arms that forcing her to stay out as she cries out to reach me. Tenya cried out as he was also trying to rip away from the workers arms from trying to reach out and pull me towards them, the fire finally reached me and the cart of gasoline and exploded,”UNHAND ME-- PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE MY BABY!!”, Mrs. Lida screamed in pain as she watched me about to get on fire as the fire approaches me from the trail of gasoline
I was suddenly engulfed in flames I closed me eyes as soon as that happened, its a bit sad but maybe I wasn't meant to step out of that laboratory. I waited for what seems like a minute but I didn't felt any burning sensation but I do feel hot but I wasn't being burnt alive, I looked at my hands to see little flames on some parts. I was startled by a loud scream and cries outside the flames, I could hear clearly who’s voices were that,”TENSEI!! PLEASE SOMEONE PUT OUT THE FLAMES!!!”,she screams and shouts loudly, probably telling someone to call the fire fighters.
I was engulfed in flames but that didn’t scared me or anything I was calm as a river,”Mrs. Lida, I’m fine! The flames doesn't hurt me, I think I got my quirk?”, I say as I walk out the flames with ease but didn't walk close to the other people to not burn them. Mrs. Lida falls down to the ground with tears in her eyes as well as Tenya who managed to get out of the workers arms and ran towards me,”NEE-SAN!!” he cries out trying to reach out to me, I held both of my hands in front of me signaling Tenya to stop,”I’m okay Tenya just on fire that's all, don’t come close you might get hurt”,I say with a calm voice and an assuring smile and kneel down the ground to get to his level. Tenya falls to the ground on his knees with a new round of tears welling up his eyes.
Tensei finally rans towards the scene and seeing the huge fire and his mom, brother and you, he quickly runs in-between you and puts Tenya behind him,”Y/n-chan, what happened here?”, Tensei says calmly as he looks me with worried look,”I protected Tenya from getting gasoline spilt on him but some guy lit up a match behind us and I quickly pushed Mrs. Lida and Tenya away from me”, you explained to him with a calm voice. Tensei looks at you and gives you a nod,”Is your quirk protecting you from getting hurt?”, he asks I gave him a nod. He slowly reaches out both of his hands just near enough that I could reach it, I slowly back away from him,”if you can remember how your parents control their quirk, maybe you could control the flames and make them disappear?”, he says with a calm voice he was glad that I wasn't hurt.
I looked at him with a worried face but I gave him a small nod, I closed my eyes and try to calm down the flames to make them disappear. I took a deep breath and put both of my hands to the flames and tried to control them to make them disappear, the flames gradually became smaller till there was no more fire. I looked around to see if the fire was gone and it was, Tensei quickly put his jacket round me and scooped me into my arms along with Tenya.
The ambulance, the paramedics, firefighters, and other heroes entered the scene as soon as the flames were out, I was brought to the ambulance in case I had injuries that needed to be taken care of. A lot of civilians surrounded the area to see what the commotion was, the heroes inspected the affected area if there were any injured civilians and scouted the area to see if the villain was still at the cite, unfortunately he got away. Luckily there were no injured civilians from the flames, meanwhile you were sitting inside the ambulance beside Mrs. Lida lap with Tenya on her lap, She pats your head and asks if your doing alright, you her a nod as you look at the hot chocolate in front of you.
Tensei walked up to you three to see if you were doing okay, the police asked me if I could tell them what did the man looked like and I tried to give them an accurate vision of what I saw. Tensei thanked them both and turned to you with a caring smile but suddenly dropped to his knees which startled you, Mrs. Lida and Tenya,”Thank god you’re alright-- Mom suddenly called that you were caught by the fire. You aren’t hurt anywhere right?”, he says calmly while shaking a little bit,”Hm! Its okay I'm okay, its a good thing I got my quirk when that happened, no ones hurt so that fine!”, you smiled softly as you pat Tensei’s head.
Tensei was glad you didn't got hurt and was tearing up a bit as how brave you were to prioritize his mom and his little brother more than your life, he wants to remind you that you are now part of their family.
I’am.. Y/n
Lida Y/n

This was my first attempt translating a full length doujinshi. I did a page a day to prevent fatigue. I’m really happy having done it, since I really liked this one even before I could read it.
The lines with asterisks I have little faith it but I tried my best. I am however pretty sure that the line about motherhood is correct but I couldn’t understand it in context so I might be wrong hence the asterisk. I did occasionally struggle to read some of the kanji so it is possible I have misread some things and caused errors because of that. There were also two lines I wasn’t able to translate in the slightest which I apologize for.
As always please correct any errors you do happen to catch

Can you do chikayou with 28?
Author NotesYes, I can. :) May you enjoy~
Summary: They were young. Too young to understand what marriage entailed. They didn’t care though as Chika flung herself onto You, asking You to marry her. Genre: Romance, Friendship, FluffWords: 2035
Read me at ff.net or AO3~
Seven-year-olds have a lot of free time in the morning and even after the short afternoon classes, they are free in the evening too. So with all that free time on hand and the light drizzle outside keeping the children indoors, Chika and You was sitting side by side on the tatami floor of the Takami living space where the two Elementary first-year girls were watching a random movie playing on the television.
You preferred to be moving about and running if she could choose but their parents said otherwise, so the ash-brunette leaned some of her weight to her right, shoulder against her best friend’s as she endured staying in one spot for two hours, not making much sense of most of the movie - there was a lot of talking between the main male lead, Hotarou, and the main female lead, Eru – discussion about adult things the seven-year-old beetle catching girl couldn’t comprehend and she was quite sure her best friend didn’t too.
However, a quick glance towards the orangehead got You wondering what was being registered in Chika’s head as her friend’s red eyes were bright and focused on the moving images in the rectangular box in front of them, and the expression Chika wore could only be described as “I like what I’m watching” by You at the moment.
The movie was reaching its ending and You copied her best friend, giving her fullest attention so that she will know what Chika is gushing about later.
Hotarou brings Eru to an enchanting foliage of luscious green which held a secret beauty of rainbow coloured flowers growing across the meadow after a trek through the forest. Hotarou knew how much Eru loves nature and wanted to live with after all the conflict and war.
Fulfiling his plans and his girlfriend’s dreams in this very moment, they walked further into the serene space just for the two. Eru beamed as she turned 360 degrees to take in all of her surroundings, being around healthy green grass, strong growing flowers, and there were even butterflies and other small insects around. But what made the moment it’s best was the fact that Hotarou was right beside her; smiling at her and they both knew that they didn’t have to worry of another gunshot or mournful cries out here - the war has ended and they are free to live the peace that came after.
Hotarou, however, was actually feeling a level of nervousness and anxiousness as he constantly placed his right hand into his pocket to touch the velvet box in his pocket. His electrifying blue eyes flickering between the girl of his dreams and an empty space in the meadow.
They slowed to a stand in the centre, Eru intertwines their fingers, and her gentle scarlet irises meet Hotarou’s strong blue. “Hey…”
“Hey..” He whispers back. Their eyes never broke eye contact. His fingers rubbed against the velvet and the other against Eru’s skin. Swallowing his nervousness back, as much as possible, he lowers to the soft grass on one knee.
Eru gasps, her free hand flies to her mouth. “Hotarou…”
Hotarou’s lips pulled up a little at the sight of joyful tears at Eru’s beautiful eyes. “Will you…” He takes out the box holding a gorgeous ring. “Marry me?”
Eru throws her arms around Hotarou who falls back into grass, the two of them laughing. “Hey…Is that a yes?”
Eru pulls away to kiss Hotarou deeply, passionately. “Yes.” She breathes with a smile so beautiful and happy. Hotarou moves to put the ring on his fiancee’s ring finger.
Any trace of boredom or sleepiness had left You and Chika as their cheeks tinted pink at the kissing scene. You gaped while Chika lets out an amazed “Wow..!”
And as You expected, her best friend started rattling on about her favourite scenes during the movie; the highlights being the climax of the war, the part where Hotarou carries Eru away from danger and of course, the final meadow scene. You nods in agreement while Chika gestures about enthusiastically. “Oh hey! The rain has let up! Let’s go out and play, You-chan!”
The suggestion to play outdoors was music to the ash-brunette’s ears and a good escape from the possibility of Chika asking her what she thinks of the kiss scene in the movie; because she totally wouldn’t know what to say to that – she couldn’t think of anything about something so blush-inducing. So You jumped to her feet with a wide smile. “Let’s!” ...Chika skips out of the Takami inn and takes a deep breath of the air after the rain, loving the change of smell and pace; for some reason, she’s thinking it’s the movie, her heart is beating rather fast after all. And even after all the talking of the movie with You, her heartbeat doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
Ahh…Why is my heart beating so fast? This is so weird… Oh!
The mikan-loving girl turns to see her best friend right behind her, ready to play, so she grins cheekily and starts running first. “You-chan!! You’re the demon!”
“Eh?” You blinks.
“And count to hundred!!” Chika shouts as she kept running ahead of her best friend – cheating unabashedly.
If I run real fast, then the reason for my racing heart will be because of running!
“We aren’t playing hide-and-seek, Chika-chan! And hundred is a lot!” The ash-brunette complains as she processed her best friend’s sudden game demand. But Chika simply echoes back a laugh and, “Better start counting then!”
And You-chan won’t catch that I’m feeling weird.
You pouts at her best friend’s back in the distance before counting quickly.
Chika having a good head start plus making You count a hundred before she can begin chase allows the orangehead to just slow to a walk now. Chika turns around to see that she has run to somewhere she wasn’t quite familiar with, perhaps it’s because of the rain, but the trees and soil all look different.
They are making a convenience store here according to Shima-nee…
Chika admires the ginormous construction vehicles while walking and she doesn’t notice the small ditch to her left as her feet slip on the wet mud and she falls in from the front. “Arck!”
Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch!!
Tears pricked at Chika’s eyes as she tried to move but pain shot up from her ankle she thinks she twisted during the fall, and the attempt to move caused her knees that slid down the mud to feel pain too as she most definitely scraped them both badly. Chika groans and tries to move again, but could only fall onto her behind so that her knees weren’t still deep in the dirt.
Oh man…this hurts… a lot…
Chika couldn’t stop the tears from falling as her hands hovered above her bleeding knees. “This is like how Eru in the movie got stuck in a hole to hide from all the shooting… I wonder if anyone will find me…”
Chika raises her head to look out of the ditch, she probably can climb out after her knees won’t in so much pain, but her ankles kind of say otherwise too. Chika felt the fear of being alone outside without anyone knowing fall on her shoulders and she swallows nervously. “You-chan…?”
Ah…It hurts and I’m scared…
Chika’s lonely crying and sniffling were cut short when she hears her best friend’s voice. “Chika-chan!”
To Chika, the looming clouds seem to part and a ray of light shines in her life as her best friend rushes into her view, a tad blurry because of her watery eyes but still clear as day. “Y-You-chan?”
You-chan really is here?
The ash-brunette jumps into the ditch without a second thought and lowers to a squat in front of Chika, her blue eyes filled with nothing but worry and concern as she gently held the side of her best friend’s injured knees. “Chika-chan…What happened?”
Chika choked out a sob and pulled the ash-brunette closer to her to hug, You shuffles closer and holds her crying best friend. You holds Chika tightly and tries her best to calm her crying friend as she repeatedly says, “You’ll be okay, Chika-chan. I’m here. You’ll be okay, Chika-chan. I’m here.”
You-chan is here… nn…
Chika does not know how long she sniffled and cried on You’s chest before her best friend pulls away since she had no more tears to cry. “You-chan..?”
You smiles reassuringly and moves her focus to Chika’s injury, blowing on the orangehead’s knees carefully so that the dust and dirt can fall off Chika’s knees. “I’ve got…” You stands to put her hand in her pocket, rummaging a little to pull out two band-aids. “Band-aids. Are you okay with putting them on?”
Chika smiles a small smile; You is so gentle and considerate, even remembering that she dislikes band-aids on serious wounds because it hurts to remove after.
I guess it will feel better for now with a band-aid…
Chika nods and You returns a nod too as she carefully places the band-aid to her best friend’s knees that she cleaned more or less; she wishes she brought water too, but she has to make do with whatever she had on hand.
You-chan…
Chika watched You, captivated, as she really couldn’t tear away from how You’s ocean blue eyes were full of concentration on her wound and concern for her well-being, her eyebrows scrunched up with that deep focus, and You’s lips a small frown…
This is kind of like the movie where Eru tends to Hotarou’s wounds too… At least I wasn’t shot by a gun…
When You was done with putting the band-aid on Chika’s knees she looks up with a tentative smile, hoping that Chika is feeling better already, all that crying got her super worried after all. “Hey, want me to piggyback you home?”
Piggyback? Ahh!
Chika uses the feet without a twisted ankle to push herself off the wet soil and onto You without a second thought, her arms thrown around her best friend’s neck. The sudden act got You falling backwards startled while Chika hugs You from atop. “Marry me, You-chan! You’re so amazing!”
“EH!?” You exclaims from the sudden tackle and proposal; she couldn’t help but replay the proposal and kiss from the movie in her mind causing her to turn a shade of dark red.
Chika simply continues her praises, “And cool! And sweet!”
And so warm and cute and knightly!
You chuckles from the praises and nuzzles. “I would say you have to go down on one knee to propose like the movie did, but your knees are hurt.” Ah, right. Hotarou went down on one knee too.
Chika pushes on You’s shoulder to help herself up a little, her serious ruby blazes at You. “I would do it for You-chan.”
I’ll do it now!
You shakes her head and stops her best friend from attempting to get on her injured knee. “Don’t be silly. C’mon. I’ll carry you home.” Chika blushes a little for being called silly, and the way You’s blue hues were so bright made her heart skip a beat. Chika nods and lets You do all the work in helping her up and onto her back.
On the way back, Chika hugged You a bit tighter as she observes You’s face, she was sweating and her face was red but she didn’t stop to rest at all; Chika couldn’t help but find her best friend even cooler in this moment. “So, is that an ‘I do’?”
For my proposal.
You flinches from the question, her hold on Chika’s thighs tightening as her palms grew sweaty. Chika watches with interest as her best friend’s cheeks and ears got redder. “Yeah…I do.”
Chika wears a maniacal smile, super happy for You’s answer and she nuzzles You’s cheeks with hers, not knowing that she was making it harder for You to carry her home without dropping her, but You will always do her best to not allow anyone or anything to hurt Chika (and Chika herself subconsciously knows this).
Ehehe~ You-chan says ‘I do’~

Run Rabbit Run
Today was one of the days Shinichi really, really wanted to sleep in, but Agasa-hakase had organized some sort of educational trip with Ran and the Detective Boys without telling him. Shinichi wasn’t sure what it was all about, but Ran had forced him through his morning routine, so here they were, walking through one of Beika’s museums, Shinichi forcing a yawn down.
As they entered the Japanese section of the museum, and past an old piece of art detailing some kind of lagomorph, Shinichi really wasn’t paying attention to what it was, Agasa began to speak. “’Long ago, long ago, there was a Hare that lived in Inaba. His coat was the color of the purest snow, and after the destruction of his boat, he found himself needing to return from Oki island to the shores of Inaba,’” Agasa-hakase was saying as they walked through the exhibit.
“Inaba? Where’s that?” Genta asked.
“That’s Tottori now, isn’t it?” Mitsuhiko said, looking to Shinichi for confirmation. “Isn’t it an old name for it?”
Shinichi nodded. “It is.”
“How’d the boat get destroyed?” Mitsuhiko asked.
“I don’t recall that being in the original myth,” Haibara said. “Does it ever say why he needed to cross back over the sea?”
Agasa tugged at his collar “Well--”
“What’s the next part?” Ayumi asked. “Does he ever make it back across?”
“Well, he does,” Ran said, leaning over on her knees so she was eye level with Ayumi. “He--” she began, and then she let out a little giggle.
“What’s so funny?” Genta asked.
“Well, I just thought about something Shinichi said to me one time.”
Shinichi instantly perked up. “Ran-nee-chan, Ran-nee-chan, what did Shinichi-nii-san say?” He certainly didn’t remember saying anything to her about this legend. It was half-forgotten to begin with.
“Oh, he just called detectives ‘sharks,’” Ran said. “Because they go after mysteries like sharks scenting blood. And I was thinking, you know the Kaitou Kid has sent out another heist note for this museum, and detectives sort of always follow him around. And he dresses in white, like a hare’s winter coat. So maybe he’s like the Hare.”
“But what does that have to do with anything?” Ayumi asked.
“Well, you see, Hare needed a way to cross the sea to get back to Inaba. Thinking himself very clever, he strode out confidently to the beach and started beating his feet on the ground, which made the ground shake and the water churn. Eventually, a shark came to the surface, asking what all the fuss was about. So the Hare offered him a challenge to see who had the bigger clan, the hares or the sharks.”
“What happened next?” Genta asked.
“Well, the shark was a bit arrogant and prideful, and said of course sharks have a bigger clan. The Hare laughed in his face and said he doubted it, not even if they all lined up would the sharks have a bigger clan, which made the shark all the more determined to prove him wrong. So he called his family over, they all lined up just below the surface, and he demanded that the Hare count them to prove they had the most numbers. In fact, the clan was so large, their members stretched from shore to shore.”
“Oh, I get it!” Mitsuhiko said. “Then the Hare used them to cross the sea, right?”
“Mhmm!” Ran said, smiling.
“The Hare crossed happily,” Haibara said, taking over, “bouncing from head to head to head. But on the head of the last shark, the reckless Hare decided to turn around and mock them, calling them all fools. The Hare, quick as he was, was not able to dodge the last shark, and it shredded his coat to pieces and tore his skin.” She shot Shinichi a look, and he didn’t roll his eyes, but it was a near thing.
“Oh no!” Ayumi said. “Was the little Hare okay?” Her eyes were wide, and her lower lip quivered.
“Injured and humiliated and lacking his coat, but he was alive,” Ran said.
“Oh thank goodness,” Ayumi said, clasping her hands together.
“That’s kind of stupid,” Genta said.
“The Hare was clever, but a little too in love with his cleverness,” Haibara said, agreeing, cutting her eyes at him. Haibara liked to be sure she made her point, didn’t she? Shinichi thought.
“And then, as he was curled up in pain, a procession of eighty princes came by, traveling to make a claim for the hand of the Princess of Inaba. Brought low by his pain, from the ground the Hare tugged at the robes of one of them, begging for a way to end the pain. Annoyed, the man told him to go bathe in the sea, his other brothers nodding sagely. The Hare did, but it only made the pain worse,” Agasa said.
“Duh!” Genta said. “Salt hurts! Even kids know that!”
“Ah, yes, Genta-kun,” Agasa said. “Hurting even worse, the Hare mourned his very existence and despaired of ever healing. But this time, another passing man, traveling alone, heard his cry.”
“Who was it?” Ayumi asked.
“The youngest brother,” Agasa said. “The eighty-first prince. He was left behind to carry all their things, and so he trailed far, far behind them. Again, the Hare told him of his problem, and of the advice given to him by the other princes. This prince was not like his other brothers, who were unified only in their hatred of him. He told the Hare to bathe in the fresh water from the river, and once he was done, to roll in the cattails when he was finished, and it would stick and return his glorious coat to him.”
“That was really nice of him!” Mitsuhiko said.
“But it turned out the Hare was a god, and lord of Inaba,” Agasa said. “And because of his youngest prince’s kindness and integrity, the hand of the Princess would go to him, he who was destined to be a kind, wise ruler, and generous to the people.”
“So why tell us the story, Agasa-hakase?” Shinichi asked. “Weren’t we here to look at some of the other exhibits?”
“I thought you’d never ask, Conan-kun!” Agasa said. “We’re here!”

"Raison D'être"
Chapter 01: Heaven Sent
Todoroki Shouto hates his father.
And that's a healthy understatement, but he can't quite come up with anything better right now as he desperately struggles to breathe after all the blows he took from the flame hero. Training has been especially harsher since he started refusing to use his fire side, he would even think his father was aiming to kill him if it weren't for the fact that he remains alive to this day. He crawls out of the dojo and limps back to his room to fix his wounds. He patches himself up as he usually does after every one-sided brawl before going to bed, curling into himself as he succumbed to exhaustion.
The next day he wakes up to the heavy stomps of feet seemingly approaching his room. He had only guessed it was his father when the door slammed open to reveal the accuracy of his suspicions, but there seems to be a catch. Behind the assuming bulky figure of his father was a small freckled green-haired child, with big and glassy bright green eyes boring into his own in wonder.
Todoroki will later realize this to be, the one and only time he'd ever be grateful to his father for.
"A pet, a toy, a friend. Call him whatever. He's yours." Endeavor said pulling a tad rough on the tiny hands of said child before pushing him unceremoniously inside Todoroki's room.
Todoroki didn't know what to make of it, what was his father saying? What does this all mean? He stared openly at the child, face a blank slate. Besides the physical attributes you would first notice upon being presented another person, the child in question was also covered in bandages. From his shoulders down to his wrists, the entirety of his legs, his neck, his head, and bits of patches on his face. Todoroki's covered wounds from last night seemed superficial compared to the damage sustained by said child. Who looked completely harmless, defenseless even. It felt as if he was going to cry from all the staring he was doing alone, so he shifted bi-colored eyes back to his father.
"Where did he come from?"
The flaming man shrugged, turning to his back. "The agency entrusted him to me, it was supposed to be some kind of publicity stunt."
"What of his parents?"
"Just his mother, came too late to save her," Endeavor didn't even do as much as look back when he slammed the door closed.
"And he calls himself a hero," Todoroki couldn't help muttering under his breath as he glared at the door. He closed his eyes and sighed softly before opening them again to turn to the other boy. "What's your name?"
Wobbly lips whimpered, "Mi-Midoriya Izuku."
"How old are you?"
"Se-seven." The other boy seemed to shrink further into himself.
"Hn," Todoroki nodded. Midoriya was his age, but he looked a lot smaller and especially weaker. "What's your quirk?"
The freckled child lowered his head and looked away, lips curving down with a frown. "I-I don't have any..."
If that made his interest grow Todoroki didn't show it. "My name is Todoroki Shouto."
Midoriya looked up to him with big hopeful eyes. "Ni-nice to m-meet you then, Bocchan."
Bi-colored eyes blinked. Bocchan?
"You think I'm a Bocchan?" Todoroki had to ask.
"We-well, aren't you?" Midoriya tilted his head in a way that made him feel self-conscious.
While they certainly lived in an estate and lived a fairly prosperous life, Todoroki's never considered it before. They also have household help that come to clean up sometimes, but they still do things mostly by themselves. He's known for a long time his family fairs better than most, he's just never put much thought to it. Then again, maybe that's because of his father who prefers to keep to himself. It would do him great disservice if anyone outside the family were to find out what he does when he's not wearing his hero costume.
"I-I mean, Endeavor-sama is your father and all." The green-haired child broke him out of his thoughts, his silence must've gone for too long.
But seriously, Endeavor-sama? He's heard a couple of his father's subordinates call the flame hero such, but that doesn't mean he likes it. Anyway, it wasn't really important what the child called him, so he dismisses the topic. "Okay, I suppose so. But it doesn't really matter to me either way."
Seeming to have gotten over the initial awkwardness, Midoriya laughed sheepishly, scratching on his cheek before beaming up at him.
Todoroki would later remember this as the first he's ever received a smile from the sun itself.
But regardless of whatever kind of first impression Midoriya has left on him, Todoroki didn't know what to do with him. So he decides to take him to his sister. He led the way out and for a reason he didn't understand, the child held onto his hand. Like he was supposed to, like it was done on instinct. Standing side by side, Midoriya was at least a head smaller than him, despite being his age. So he didn't let go. And even if Todoroki felt a bit of discomfort at the contact, it wasn't like the child could harm him anyway.
They walked the length of the corridor in eerie silence, Midoriya leaning closer to him until he could feel the other's nerves in waves. He didn't understand what the child was scared of, but it's not like he knew how to be a source of comfort so he kept his mouth shut. Logically, there was no reason to be afraid, they were in a hero's abode after all. Logically.
They reached his sister's room and Todoroki knocked on the door twice. He heard a soft 'come in', before turning the doorknob to do so.
"Who's that?" His sister asked the moment she turned to them.
"Midoriya Izuku," Todoroki answered for the child. "Father gave him to me."
"Father what?"
"He gave him to me, to be my friend." Todoroki decides to go with that, leaving out the options of a 'toy' or a 'pet'. He wasn't like his father.
His sister looked to have even more questions than she did initially, but she must've decided to keep those for later. She approached them slowly before lowering herself down, and offering a hand. "Hey there, little guy. My name is Fuyumi, but you can call me 'Nee-chan', okay?"
"O-Okay, Nee-chan," Midoriya smiled shyly.
"Okay, Izu-kun. Can I call you that?" Fuyumi tilted her head in question before receiving a shy nod, and continued. "Where are you from? Where are your parents?"
Before Midoriya could try to come up with answers himself, Todoroki spoke for him. "Father said he came from the agency, they couldn't save his mother."
"Oh, my God..." Fuyumi held a hand in front of her mouth, before slowly turning to the child with a kind smile and a determined look on her face. "Don't worry, Izu-kun. We'll be your family from now on."
Todoroki wasn't sure how to feel about that.
Fuyumi then led the two boys back to Todoroki's room, where she searched for her little brother's old clothes that don't fit anymore. She asked Midoriya to take a shower and change clothes, before taking out a spare futon from the closet and hanging it out on the balcony for air so it would be ready for Midoriya to use later in the night.
"I'm going to prepare breakfast, when Izu-kun's done take him downstairs." Fuyumi turned, and started making her way down to the kitchen.
"Is he really going to stay here?" Todoroki had to ask.
Fuyumi looked back at him from the middle of the doorway, blinking once. "As long as Father says so."
They stared at each other for a while.
"Do you not want him here?" Fuyumi asked, quietly as if in a whisper.
Todoroki pressed his lips together, looking down on his toes. "I don't know... but I do want a friend."
"Then there shouldn't be a problem," Fuyumi smiled gently at him. "Besides, it was Father who brought him here in the first place. He shouldn't complain if something happens."
Todoroki peeked up at her then. He didn't know what that something could be but he nodded his head regardless, before looking away towards the bathroom door.
"Shouto," Fuyumi called back his attention. "You know you have to look after him, right?"
Todoroki nodded again, but more firmly this time. "Yeah... because he's mine."
If Fuyumi wasn't sure how to react to that, she didn't show it. They were good at playing poker faces in this family.
When Midoriya came back out from the bathroom, Todoroki gave him one look before he knelt down in front of him to fold the ends of the pants' legs. They were too long for him, so he was sure the child would step on them and stumble if left alone. Stopping just below the knees, he stood up and checked on his work. The t-shirt was big too, falling off lanky shoulders, but he can leave them be. The bi-haired kid offered his hand, he knew the child would hold onto him anyway so he might as well.
He led the way downstairs and into the kitchen. Fuyumi grinned too brightly for his liking when she saw them holding hands, Shouto doesn't know what to make of it.
"Here you go, you two." She placed two plates on the table, and waited for them to get seated before serving them bread, eggs, and bacon. "Is this okay with you, Izu-kun? What do you usually have at home?"
"Uhm, this is g-great! Th-thank you very much," he pulled the plate towards himself. "I u-usually have cereal, b-but I like this too!"
Fuyumi beamed. Midoriya's voice was meek, but he was trying to be enthusiastic. Being grateful, and at the same time, making sure not to concern her. Plus, the blush on those freckles was adorable. She wanted to make sure he was comfortable so she didn't ask any more questions, eating in silence. The child would tell them the things they needed to know when he was ready. If not, their father will.
Once they were done, she gathered the plates and made her way to the sink. Midoriya offered to help clean up, which was a pleasant surprise, but she merely waved him off.
"I'm okay, I can handle this myself." She patted soft green curls before looking towards her brother. "You two should just go play outside, it's a wonderful day out there."
Todoroki nodded, he understood. She meant that their father has left and that they should make the best of this time, while he was away.
It didn't take long for Todoroki to realize Midoriya was everything he didn’t know he wanted.
The child was an open book, slowly turning the pages of himself to show Todoroki all that he feels and thinks. It was a refreshing experience, compared to what he was used to in this family. Midoriya smiled brightly, cried easily, laughed cheerfully, pouted childishly. He was kind and gentle, meek and shy, smart and understanding, fun and clumsy. He was quiet when Todoroki wasn't talking to him, he was attentive when he was being referred to. He always asks for permission, he was respectful, grateful, and apologetic.
He made Todoroki feel at ease, comfortable, like he just knew if it was Midoriya then he didn't have to worry about a thing.
And it's only been a day.
Of course he didn't know that for sure, Midoriya just struck him as being completely harmless. But even if the child wasn't as innocent as he seemed, Todoroki was perfectly capable of defending himself. He's not scared, of a quirkless boy who's smaller than him of all things. Not to mention his father having brought the child.
They played the entire morning and the rest of the afternoon that day, sharing all of his toys and running around the house. It was always a happy day when Endeavor wasn't there, but what made it all even better was his father having left him with a child and an explicit permission to be friends with. He didn't even get that with his siblings, so then, Midoriya must be really special. And Todoroki wouldn't argue.
That's when it all ended though.
They were coloring pictures books in his bedroom after eating dinner, when Fuyumi knocked and peeked inside. She wore a sorry smile and glanced at Midoriya before regarding Shouto.
"Father's here." She almost whispered and winced, as if uttering the word pains her physically. Then again, it probably does.
But Todoroki didn't even flinch. "Okay."
Fuyumi nodded and stepped out of view, leaving the door open. Todoroki turned to Midoriya. "Izuku."
Midoriya was hunched over, slowly looking at him. He looked apprehensive, he could probably feel the sudden tension in the air.
"I want you to get ready for bed and go to sleep. I have to go to Father and you can't come with me." Torodoki instructed as clearly as possible. "I don't want you to wait up for me either so when I get back, you better not be awake. Lastly, while I'm not with you, you are not allowed to step outside this room."
By the time Todoroki finished his last sentence, he knew he was sending Midoriya the coldest glare he could make. He had to make sure the child got the message, he couldn't risk anything after all. He still didn't know much of the would-be arrangements for the child, so it should be fine if he didn't tell him anything for now. But if Midoriya was really staying with them for good (or bad), then all the more need to be careful. Todoroki wasn't stupid. There is no reason his father should bring home a child, and a quirkless one at that, if he didn't have any plans. He just didn't know why, or how, or what Midoriya's purpose would be. But the freckled green-haired child was his responsibility. Midoriya was given to him, which meant Midoriya belonged to him and that he should take care of him. He knew that, even Fuyumi said so.
"I-I understand," Midoriya's whimpering voice broke him out of his thoughts. The child's eyes went glassy again, shivering slightly. Todoroki was scary when he glares.
Todoroki sighed, and tried again, more gently this time. "I'm not mad at you. I just don't want you to get in trouble, okay?"
The smaller one nodded meekly, looking up at him through eyelashes. "Th-thank you, Bocchan. And so-sorry, for the trouble."
The older shook his head. "It's nothing. You're my responsibility, because you're mine. You know that, right?"
Midoriya couldn't help huffing a small laugh at that, "I-I'll be in your hands, then."
Todoroki couldn't point it out, but a switch was flipped in between them and they were back to normal. A small smile tugged on his lips, Midoriya made him feel too light.
When Todoroki got back, Midoriya was fast asleep. He could see the consistent rise and fall of his chest, and he was glad the child actually listened to him, he wouldn't know how to placate the child when he sees him all beaten up and broken. He didn't want Midoriya to see him like this, and whether that was for his own sake or the child's, it didn't matter. The thought just gave him a sense of unease, like a slight churn in the depths of his gut. He sighed, he's far too young to be feeling so jaded like this. But his father was insufferable. The man didn't say anything about Midoriya though, not even a passing comment. Maybe, he really didn't care to bother about him? Hopefully.
Todoroki headed to the bathroom to take a bath and patch himself up, he's got school tomorrow so he wouldn't be able to play with Midoriya until arriving home in the afternoon. He'll be able to see him for breakfast though, so it should be fine. He'll give him further instructions then. He vaguely wondered how Midoriya will be educated in this family, was he going to be transferred to his school? He hopes so, he better ask Fuyumi tomorrow to make sure.
He laid down in his own futon, feeling more exhausted than he usually does. Probably because he played out so much today, but he couldn't possibly regret that. He's never had so much fun, despite the training, he can always put that behind him and focus more on the good things. He turns to his side, glancing towards Midoriya and bites his lower lip. He's felt too many urges to smile this day, he hopes they don't go away. And he falls to sleep just like that.
Morning came too soon, his alarm ringing on his bedside table. He opened his eyes to see Midoriya already awake and reaching over to shut it off.
"Go-good morning, Bocchan." The clock made a soft click as the freckled child pressed a button down.
"Good morning," Todoroki sat up, staring blankly at the child. "You're up early."
Midoriya played with his fingers, head bowed. "I-I always w-wake up around this time for school..."
"Right, are you going?"
"I-I... don't know," the child peeks up at him and quickly looked away. "I d-don't even have my things..."
"We'll talk to Nee-san about it then," Todoroki got up and walked over to his closet to get dressed. He also took a spare out for Midoriya, handing it over. He picked a shorter pants this time so he wouldn't have to bend down and fold it up again like last time. They brushed their teeth before the older one grabbed his bag and they headed downstairs. If he was lucky, his father wouldn't be there.
And he was, for today.
Fuyumi was the only one in the kitchen. "Good morning, you two."
"Nee-san, is Izuku going to school?" Todoroki cut to the chase.
Fuyumi blinked twice, glancing at Midoriya and then back at him. "Well, he should. But I can see how that could be a problem."
Todoroki didn't say anything but there was a glint of a plea in his eyes, Fuyumi tried to resist a knowing smile.
"Tell you what, I'll go call Father's agency and see how to arrange things." She said to her little brother before turning to Midoriya, "Izuku, do you mind coming with me later to your school? We'll see if we can get you transferred into Shouto's."
"R-really?! That would be great! Thank you so much, Nee-chan!" With Midoriya's usually bright smile, it was hard to quantify how much happier he was. But the slight reddening of his cheeks and the watering of his eyes gave away a meaning they have yet to understand.
"Are you sure? Don't you have friends you don't want to part with in your school?" Todoroki asked, trying not to get his hopes too high.
Midoriya deflated and shook his head with a sad smile, somehow they seem to have found meaning to pin on the earlier expression. "I don't have friends."
Todoroki couldn't believe that. Midoriya was blinding sunshine personified, how could he not have friends?
"It's settled then! We'll go through everything later and by tomorrow, hopefully you can start attending Shouto's class!" Fuyumi broke the dampening mood, ushering the two of them to the table for breakfast.
They eat in comfortable silence and soon enough, Fuyumi was gathering the dishes to clean up. Todoroki bids her goodbye and walks with Midoriya to the entryway. He crouches down and puts his shoes on before straightening back up to turn to the smaller boy.
"Izuku, listen to whatever Nee-san says while I'm not here, okay?" Todoroki was giving him a stern look again, unblinking.
"I u-understand," Midoriya tried smiling reassuringly but it only came up as sheepish.
Todoroki finally blinks, just once and slowly. "If Father comes home, just stay inside my room. No matter what happens, stay away from him."
Midoriya's eyes shifted from each of his as if looking for something, so he prepared himself to answer for anything but the questions never came. The smaller child only smiles, softly but not any less bright. "You don't have to keep wo-worrying about me so much a-all the time, Bocchan. I'll be okay."
"I'm not worried about you, I'm worried about Father." The words left his mouth before he could think even about them.
"O-oh! We-well then, I-I'm sure he'll be fi-fine too because he's a hero." Midoriya looked flustered and confused, saying the first things that come to mind.
"That's not it either."
The smaller child opened his mouth, but didn't know what to say to he closed them again and settled with biting his lower lip, head lowering and shoulders hunching.
The older boy sighed at the sight. "Just stay out of trouble, I'll be back soon."
Midoriya nodded eagerly before slowly gaining back the courage to speak. "Ta-take care, Bocchan."
Todoroki nodded once before turning on his heel and walking out. The door closed and the green-haired child felt his shoulders sagging.
True enough to her word, Fuyumi had taken care of everything. Just as she said she would and as much to Todoroki's liking. So the next day, he was walking out the door with Midoriya in tow. They bid their farewells to Fuyumi at the door before walking out together hand-in-hand, with the older leading the way to school. It was a rough five to ten minutes worth, Midoriya gaping all around him the entire way. This was the nicer and more quiet part of the city, with many beautiful houses and flowering trees. The green-haired child stared openly in wonder, straining his neck to take in all the view. Todoroki had to steer him clear from walking into a lamp post a couple of times, but the older kid didn't mind. It was amusing.
They get to the school and Midoriya was introduced as a transfer student, the fact that he lives with Todoroki left unsaid. He is placed in a seat besides the bi-haired kid, who sits in the corner of the room by the window as per their request. The class started as normal as it should without much fuss, and the two didn't talk to each other the whole time. It wasn't until lunch break that Todoroki motioned for Midoriya to follow him. They climbed two sets of stairs to get to the rooftop, which was locked and technically a prohibited area, but Todoroki could most likely get away with anything anyway. Todoroki used his ice to form a key at the tip of his forefinger, before opening the door for Midoriya. And the child was just gaping at him. He vaguely remembers this was the first time he's ever shown him his quirk.
"That's... amazing," Midoriya's voice sounded breathless, and Todoroki was mildly concerned. "Your quirk is ice? I thought it would be fire like Endeavor-sama's."
"Actually, that too." The older of the two clarified, watching closely for any more reaction. The fact that he has two quirks when the other has none was unfair, Todoroki knew that. But there's nothing he could do about it, nor was it his fault. Still, he would do his best to try feeling for the smaller boy. Heck, if he could give away his fire quirk he would.
Midoriya held his shaking hands together, vibrating with excitement. "That's so cool, Bocchan! You have two quirks?! I can't believe this! You are so lucky! So you have both ice and fire? That's so convenient! I mean, you can freeze and melt things at the same time! All the cons of one is the pros of the other! Which should be such an incredible balance in power! And both are so useful! I'm so envious! But also very happy for you, Bocchan! You will become a great hero for sure!"
Todoroki was sure that was the longest he's ever heard Midoriya talking without stuttering.
"Uhhh, thanks." He stepped out on the rooftop first since the smaller kid didn't seem like he was taking his invitation to go first. He sat towards the side, leaning onto the railings before opening the bentos Fuyumi made for them.
The green-haired child must've noticed his demeanor because he quietly followed after him, stopping three steps away with all the previous signs of excitement gone. "Is there something wrong?"
The bi-haired kid didn't dare look at him. He knew his existence was unfair, Midoriya's case was too except he's the only one who deserves feeling like a cheat. They were at the opposite poles of extremes, and he didn't want to be insensitive. He could just imagine growing up without a quirk, and the younger child looking like that's all he's ever wanted. Even though, Todoroki couldn't care less about his fire side. Even though, he doesn't mind losing both if he could just get rid of his father's proof in him. Then maybe he wouldn't be put through so much suffering, and his mother would probably still be here. He knew she would still love him even if he lost his quirk, and the thought that his father would not even spare him a glance makes him want to smile. He would be normal then, like Midoriya. But he can't tell the other that, of course not.
"It's nothing, let's eat."
Thankfully, Midoriya didn't bring it up again.
Until one fateful night two days later when Shouto unwittingly stumbles into the bathroom following another harsh training session with his sorry-excuse-of-a-father, and Midoriya was in there.

Okay so, the original idea for this fic was smut... hence the summary, but now I'm not so sure if I'll push forth for that and I just wanted to get that out there. No warnings yet, but they will come once needed. I'm still torn about keeping this safe, everything is just a set-up for now. No lemon until the timeskip of course.
Please review. Thank you so much!

Post-apocalypse military AU.
Next part as I promised to dear Feli.😘 Occasionally it'll have the 3d part. Btw I chose tramadolum as painkiller bc it's typical in such cases in Russia. ************************* Private Katsuki woke up in the middle of the night. From cold. Or better to say - from loss of living warmth. The last thing he remembered was thin, cold fingers tracing his hair, wondering over neck, shoulders, innocently getting a bit under a t-shirt time to time. General Snow King... But. Where is he? Yuuri rose on elbow looking around. Shadow on the balcony. Here he is! Boy clumsily got up, still half-asleep, rubbed his eyes and realized something was completely wrong. His commander smoked on the balcony. But it's autumn already. Nights definitely aren't warm enough to stay outside half-naked and with bare feet. And the way he stayed. Hardly supporting himself with one hand over balcony fencing, as if trying to step on the left leg less. Burning spot of cigarette shivered in darkness. Private Katsuki stormed there. Being a long-time friend with doctor Phichit taught him a lot of useful (or not really...) things. Of course now it was clear - old wounds of his General were aching. Maybe this time because of stress... [I made General suffer... It's my fau...] [Not fucking now, Private Katsuki!!] - Sir? - boy from Safe Zone stepped on the balcony. - I know cold seems... distracting from pain. But still... It's not good for U. [Fuck. Chilling stones of the floor almost burn skin.] Not waiting for any response Private Katsuki reached for commander grabbing his waist. Snow King obviously shivered. - It's ok, Yuuri, just go back to sleep. I'll be right in a minute. - General turned to him with almost normal face expression. Almost... Smile could look carefree. But cold drops of sweat on his forehead, dark shadows under eyes and bitten almost to blood lips betrayed him completely. - Old wounds, righ? - Yuuri hugged his commander with both hands making to lean on his shoulder. - Finish your cigarette and let's return. - U shouldn't step here with bare feet. - his voice is too quiet. Almost like whisper. He sloppily stifled the cigarette, burned fingers by smoldering end and didn't even noticed. [How much pain do U hide from others, General Snow King?..] White skin was icy cold. How long did he stayed there?... It was just several steps distance - to get to the bed. Frozen fingers leaned to boys shoulder searching for support. Yuuri hugged commander almost bringing him on arms to the sheets. Laid there and touched forehead with lips. At least it's not a fever. In this case he knows what to do. - Sir, what caused this? - stupid question but Phichit could need to know it to choose the treatment. - Is it weather or... - I'm sorry. - icy-blue eyes focused on Private Katsuki. - It's just... I've got...nervous. It happens time to time. [Nervous?... Is it... Because of me?.. My fault??... No, Private Katsuki, it's fucking NOT the time for this!!!] Yuuri nodded, grabbed the phone and placed a fast kiss on pale cheek: - I'll be right back. I'm gonna take medicine for U. - Hey, c'mon, Yuuri! I'm fine. - strong hand held his wrist. - I told U it happens time to time. Nothing to worry about. No need to bother doctors. - NO NEED???!!!!! MY ASS!!! - unexpected outburst made General Nikiforov to instinctively let go of boy's hand. - If U're in pain it IS a reason to worry!!!! He whistled to Makkachin, tapped the bed near General and nodded to his side: - Look after him until I return. Dog wigged tail and licked Victor's cheek. *********************** Midnight call woke Phichit up but didn't really surprise him. As well as Yuuri in pajamas and army boots put on bare feet. He saw his best friend in even more weird states. The problem was clear. He put out some ampules and syringes and began to scroll through General Nikiforov's medical card. - Did U catch a cold, Katsuki-san? - Minami appeared from nowhere. Still not completely awake but as always super excited about hell knows what. - Your face is all red. [Just. Great. What am I supposed to answer? "Oh, it's ok, I've just occasionally kissed legendary General Snow King in a cheek."?????] Muttering something unclear, Yuuri grabbed medicines, listened to Phichit's warnings and rushed back. To his commander. Of course even more red then before. Minami sigh, pressing hands to face dreamily: - My OTP... ************************ When he returned Victor laid on the bed hugging Makkachin and hiding face into soft, brown fur. Is he asleep?... Private Katsuki unsurely touched naked shoulder. - Yuuri... - his voice was quiet and hoarse. - Please, go to sleep. U need a rest. - Phichit gave tramadolum for U. - Yuuri softly turned his commander on the back. Of course he wasn't the only one who being able to give an injection. Every soldier was taught medical basics. He was just too used to it for a newbie. Of course because of Phichit (or "dr.Hamsterviel" as he was often called by friends despite of lack of similarity). And it was also the reason why, unlike other martials, Yuuri never was reckless about medic themes. Boy took out first-aid kit, and returned to the bed with spirit and syringe but unexpectedly his General grabbed Makka, pressing him to the chest as a huge stuffed toy and curled into a ball near the headboard. - I'm a kind of... Don't like injections. I had too much of them during hospitals and stuff... - intonations sounded almost normal now. He even snorted. As if everything is fine. [Too much? Is it the only reason, General Snow King?...] Yuuri stopped for a second intensively thinking the situation over?.. Is his commander really scared of injections? But why? Painful memories? Or something else? But they must do it anyway. And do it right now. [What to do?! Think, Private Katsuki!!! What Mari-nee did when she brought U to doctors and U was afraid?...] Yuuri set on the bed near his General, stroke silver locks and when he raised a head cupped his face with both hands, smiling: - Please, darling... Don't be afraid. It won't cause U pain. He moved closer, to hug his commander: - Please, Victoru-chan... Don't be scared. I'm here. I won't let anything bad happen to U. [DARLING???!!!!! VICTORU-CHAN????!!!! Katsuki, are U retarted or what????!!!!!! Honestly he should punch U right now! Not to mention it was over-idiotic - to use tender pronounce of own country...] But all these internal screams didn't stop Yuuri from making embrace tighter and beginning to slightly cradle his General, caressing winter silk: - Don't worry, dear... It won't be painful... To say legendary General Nikiforov was surprised would be a shameless lie. He wasn't SURPRISED. He was STUNNED. And gasped with wide eyes unable to put thoughts together. He never experienced something like this before. If someone would ask Snow King what exactly he feels right now he definitely hadn't be able to answer. Either too stupid or too happy. Or both. Of course little traitor Private Katsuki used inadequate condition of his commander to press vein, touch skin with spirit pad and stuck the needle in... No, it's not painful. It could be even exciting in it's own weird way. But still... Tramadolum has some...unwanted side-effects. Victor blankly stared at empty syringe. Pain will fade away soon. It's not that good though... - U see? Everything is fine now. - Yuuri pressed a cold from spirit cotton pad to the vein, hugged his General with a free arm and caressed silver locks - U did great. U'll feel better soon. And now it's time to sleep. Somewhere in the corner of his mind General Nikiforov understood he should react somehow: say that he's not a kid to comfort him like this, or calm Kaiyo down because he is definitely worried, or... But he couldn't make a slightest move, unable to realize it all is for real. He didn't even notice when Yuuri turned off the light. - If U need something, I'm right here. - Boy laid his still speechless General to the pillow and covered with a blanket. Silence lasted about a minute. (And during this minute Yuuri several times almost died from heartattack hysterically thinking over again and again what had he done in last hour... - Yuuri?... - hoarse nearly to whisper voice sounded apologetic. Boy from Safe Zone almost jumped. From mix of worry and unreasonable embarrassment: - Yes, s-sir?.. - Are U here?.. Weird question. Victor tried to force out laugh but it sounded bitter. As an answer warm hand sneaked over his chest and pulled into soft embrace. Yuuri leaned to naked, sharp shoulder blades, breath touched the line of winter silk on the neck: - Aye, sir... I'm here for U, sir... This weird kid is always so brave in very unexpected moments... - Didn't I tell U? No "sir". We're family here. We call each other by names... -Victor caught milky-white wrist, intertwining their fingers. Nervously and too forceful. Private Katsuki didn't try to get free. Warm thumbs caressed icy-cold skin of his commander - I'm sorry for all this mess... - General inhaled making voice to sound less weak. Seemed like tramadolum worked on him rather fast. - I must explain U why I didn't want to use painkillers. U see... It has side-effects. Body is dizzy, mind is clouded... - Snow King sigh as if being a kind of bored with it all but then buried face into Yuuri's palms. Breath was shaking, more like sobbing, but cheeks stayed dry. - And... U know... I kinda... Loose control. Last time I got this injection... I was in hospital with damaged knee. They gave it to me every night for five days to make it possible to sleep. And every morning I found out the pillow is wet as fuck. And nurses muttered I cried for all six hours of it's effect. I didn't properly remember though... So stupid. I don't want U to be scared of disgusted...if something like this happens again. Boy from Safe Zone tightened embrace burring face into wither silk: - Why do U think so low about your subordinate, Victoru?... Crying is natural. And... U're not alone anymore. U won't wake up alone and in tears. I'm here. With U. [...And always will be with U. I'll wipe all your tears. If only I could... I'd wipe them with kisses... I'd give U my everything... My flesh and blood... Every second of my life...] - My Yuki-no-kami-sama... How did it happened - that Yuuri said it aloud - later he couldn't say for sure. But flawless body in his arms tensed up even stopping to breath: - Say... That... Again... Please... First Katsuki's wish was to roll into furthest corner and die there: how could it be??? Is his General mad at him now?... But... It's not a right time to be in hysteric. He just clung to Victor tighter: - It means "God of snow" in my language. [It's nothing to loose now. If he is mad, he has a right to kill me...] Kaiyo cupped commander's cheek stroking porcelain skin and repeated: - My. Yuki-no-kami-sama. Silence lasted for rather long. He'd think his General fell asleep but tense body in his arms made him doubt. Husky whisper touched boy's palm: - Yuuri... Where did U spend your epidemic period? Do U remember that times? [Ehhh??!! Why this question???] Private Katsuki shrugged shoulders blushing and being graceful to the entire Universe for laying behind his Snow King. He won't see this stupid redness. - Well... I don't remember much... I know we were evacuated because of risk of nuclear explosion in our region. It was a long trip. I can't say for sure what land it was.. And then threat was fixed and we were sent back home. But memories are so shadowed... I can't say what was a dream and what was for real. - Yuuri caressed silver silk away from commander's eyes. - But if U want, we can go and check it up in documents in the morning. General exhaled. Either disappointed or just thoughtful. And curled into a ball in Yuuri's arms, leaning to him with his back unexpectedly tight: - Yes... Let's do it. In the morning. Boy from Safe Zone locked the embrace and slid palm under Victor's cheek instead of a pillow: - Sleep well, sir... - "Sir"...my ass. - he lightly pushed Yuuri's side with an elbow and sigh - Sleep well, Private Katsuki, it's an order.
#have fun dear Feli😘#Gomen for my sloppy mistakes. 😅😅😅 I guess there are a lot of them and I'll find them later👻
