what social media platforms do they use today? instagram, tiktok (though he doesnt post anything) and facebook
do they have public profiles, or go private? public.
how about their following? are they pretty lowkey, or do they have a decent following? very low key.
do they tend to pick obvious usernames, ones with sentimental value, funny things? how do they decide? generally name related.

and just what profile pictures do they use? mainly just selfies or photos he's had taken of him by his sisters and friends.
what kind of bio writer are they? silly, cute, sweet, or just basic? basic with a little humor!
how much time per day would you say that your character spends on social media? not a whole lot, but enough that his phone is constantly nearby.
is there one platform that they visit more than others? tiktok for entertainment.
if they have kids, do they use social media? how do they feel about that? if not, and they want kids, will they let them use it someday? n/a.
be honest: have they ever created an account for something else, like a hobby, or… to try to make their cat internet famous? not yet!

have they ever left a social media platform (or more than one) for any specific reason? n/a.

have they ever made any long-lasting friendships through social media? n/a.
or on the flip side, gotten into any big social media beef? mike likes to keep to himself unless its friend or family related.
have they ever felt negatively impacted by social media as a user? n/a.
who is their favorite person / account to follow on social media? unknown.
would they say that social media has had an overall more positive or negative impact on the world? it depends which way it is observed. mike enjoys the pros of social media.
and finally: a/s/l? (and do they know what that means?) yes! 30/m/me

Tier Ranking All the Classics/”Literature” type Books I’ve Read
Or at least all the ones I remembered to include/didn’t arbitrarily decide to leave out. (Within each tier the books are not ranked)
Other books wish they had what these books have
(The best of the best. )
Crime and Punishment (Fyodor Dostoevsky) A Tale of Two CIties (Charles Dickens)  Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen) The Lord of the Rings (JRR Tolkien) The Chronicles of Narnia (CS Lewis)
Love it
Les Misérables (Victor Hugo)  East of Eden (John Steinbeck)- honestly I don’t remember much about it but I remember liking it a lot Frankenstein (Mary Shelley)  Great Expectations (Charles Dickens)  The Great Gatsby (F. Scott Fitzgerald)  As I Lay Dying (William Faulkner)  Sense and Sensibility (Jane Austen)- but if I reread this might very well move up a category. Haven’t read it since I was like 11 Emma (Jane Austen) Catch-22 (Joseph Heller) The Hobbit (JRR Tolkien)  The Space Trilogy (CS Lewis) Til we Have Faces (CS Lewis) A Wrinkle in Time (Madeleine L'Engle)
It makes me think
(It’s not fun in the way you might think but it has really interesting ideas or elements that I enjoy engaging with)
The Brothers Karamazov (Fyodor Dostoevsky) The Stranger (Albert Camus)  Night (Elie Wiesel)  Grendel (John Gardner)  The Sunflower (Simon Wiesenthal) Confessions (Augustine of Hippo)  The Man Who was Thursday (GK Chesterton)  Orthodoxy (GK Chesterton)
Good Vibes Only
(I don’t really remember it but I remember liking it)
Remains of the Day (Kazuo Ishiguro)  Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury)  Hard Times (Charles Dickens)  Oliver Twist (Charles Dickens)  Persuasion (Jane Austen)  My Antonia (Willa Cather)
Really Enjoyable
Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats (T.S. Eliot)- It’s absurd and a delight.  To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee) The Martian Chronicles (Ray Bradbury)  Cloud Atlas (David Mitchell)  Life of Pi (Yann Martel) War and Peace (Leo Tolstoy)  The Crucible (Arthur Miller)  Hamlet (William Shakespeare) The Color of Water (James McBride)  Beowulf A Separate Peace (John Knowles)- Also featuring not one but two movie adaptations of the “so bad they’re funny” variety Middlemarch (George Elliot)  White Fang (Jack London)- except the ending. Let White Fang stay wild.  Wuthering Heights (Emily Bronte)- they’re trash people doing terrible things and it’s a good time And Then There Were None (Agatha Christie) The Silmarillion (JRR Tolkien)
It’s good BUT
(I like it but there’s one glaring exception to that)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Victor Hugo) - Most of it is fun but also I’m pretty sure the one major plot point is very racist Gone with the Wind (Margaret Mitchell)
yeah, it’s good
(I like it but not strongly)
The Jungle Book (Rudyard Kipling)  The Idiot (Fyodor Dostoevsky)  Macbeth (William Shakespeare)  The Possessed (Fyodor Dostoevsky) Grapes of Wrath (John Steinbeck) Moby Dick (Herman Melville)  Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Mark Twain) Paradise Lost (John Milton)  The Bean Trees (Barbara Kingsolver)- respect the fact that between when I read this as a high school freshman to when I read it as a student teacher, it worked its way up from “bleh) to be here The Three Musketeers (Alexandre Dumas)  The Hound of the Baskervilles (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle)
Sure
(I feel slightly more positive than neutral)
Animal Farm (George Orwell) Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck) The Scarlet Letter (Nathaniel Hawthorne)  Medea (Euripides)  Antigone (Sophocles) The Odyssey (Homer) David Copperfield (Charles Dickens)  Player Piano (Kurt Vonnegut)
That’s  definitely a book that exists and I have read
(I have no emotions regarding this book)
The Portrait of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde)  Tarzan of the Apes (Edgar Rice Burroughs)  The Sun Also Rises (Ernest Hemingway) Death of a Salesman (Arthur Miller)  Julius Caesar (William Shakespeare) Passing (Nella Larsen) Charlotte Temple (Susanna Rowson)  Jane Eyre (Charlotte Bronte)- I’m going to be honest. That category title is an exaggeration. I read a children’s abridged version when I was like 8 and that’s it. Little Women (Louisa May Alcott)
Need to reread
(I feel like I missed something the first time through and would appreciate it more on reread)
Beatrice and Virgil (Yann Martel)  Song of Solomon (Toni Morrison)- honestly though I think rereading would move it to “respect but don’t like”  A Midsummer Night’s Dream (William Shakespeare)  Canterbury Tales (Geoffrey Chaucer)
I respect it, but I don’t like it
(I fully think that this is a quality book, but for some reason or another, I don’t like it)
The Plot Against America (Phillip Roth)  The House on Mango Street (Sandra Cisneros) 100 Years of Solitude (Gabriel García Márquez)
Bleh
Romeo and Juliet (William Shakespeare) The Handmaid’s Tale (Margaret Atwood)  The Metamorphosis (Franz Kafka)
Bad Vibes Only
(I don’t remember this book but I remember I didn’t like it)
Heart of Darkness (Joseph Conrad) A Portrait of the Artist as a Yong Man (James Joyce)  Rose in the Heart (Edna O’Brien)
Strong Dislike
1984 (George Orwell)- It could almost go into respect but don’t like, because I think the world he creates and the idea of it all is very well done. And the essay on NewSpeak is brilliant. But the book is boring and the characters are bad and I don’t really care if Winston gets tortured to death. The Man in the Iron Mask (Alexandre Dumas)- There’s a reason why at least one movie adaptation looked at the plot and went “nah we’ll just write our own”. The first one is basically a swashbuckling adventure and then this one was like “hey want to see the musketeers sad and old and what if they went on one final mission which is deeply misguided where they all fail and die. Does that sound fun?” If I’m remembering it correctly.
“I can shoot the book physically but not conceptually and that makes me sad”
(I hate this book so much you don’t understand)
The Catcher in the Rye (JD Salinger)- this category was made specifically this book in mind.

If you need to catch up!

Rafael slammed the door to the men’s room open, terrifying some poor cowboy just trying to use the john.
“Sorry…” He nodded apologetically to the guy who grumbled some obscenities as he washed his hands and left, leaving Rafael alone to stew.
Why had he just done that?! Why did he have to glance back at your table as soon as you closed your eyes? In that split second, he had locked eyes with Olivia. They were so close it was like they could telepath whole sentences between each other; and the look she had given him in that moment was definitely saying “What the FUCK do you think you’re doing?”.
Truth be told he really had no idea what he was doing, it all happened so fast. Really, the whole day was a blur. Before today you were just a junior detective to him, albeit a very sexy one. But truthfully you were barely a blip on his radar; you didn’t speak much, and when you did it was usually insulting him or contradicting. How had this one out of town trip completely flipped your relationship through a dryer tumble cycle? First the song in the car, the coffee in the car, the Fahey’s bathroom, and now this. At one point did he start…falling for you? Was he even falling for you? Were you planning this thing all along? Had you been seducing him? No, surely he wasn’t that dumb to just be seduced by a pair of pretty eyes and a tight t-shirt...and a soft soul who’d been through so much at so young…
NO.
He wasn’t doing this. Not here, not now.
----
“What do you mean, he just left?”
Once again you had fled to the bathroom, this time to update your BFF on the never ending nightmare that was this day.
“I mean he LEFT. He mumbled some bullshit about being ‘sorry’ and just….walked away. No I’m sorry, he RAN away.”
“Well...maybe he got scared?”
“A grown man?”
“I don’t know from what you’ve said about him, he seems pretty high strung am I right?”
“That’s putting it lightly…”
“I mean the fact that you even got him on that dance floor sounds like a miracle to me, maybe he just got in his head all of a sudden,”
“Maybe…”
“Which means….” they paused ominously.
“Means what?” you asked skeptically.
“You’ve gotten yourself a def con one situation here, babe,”
“...What?” you were completely lost.
“Everyone knows the rule, Y/N” they kept completely serious.
“Wha-What RULE?”
“The RULE! Once you have a…’moment’ with someone that gets interrupted, you HAVE to actually kiss them...or bang them but let’s be realistic,” they continued in a very serious tone, despite the fact that they were talking conspiracy theories.
“Is ANY of that realistic? What happens if you ‘break’ this rule?”
“You have to kiss them in 24 hours or else you’ll just stay friends forever,” They stated like an oracle.
“Do you hear yourself when you talk, or has the crazy just become white noise at this point?” You rolled your eyes.
“Mock all you want, but you remember Duncan and Sarah?”
“They went on one date and decided to be friends?”
“No no, they went on one date and she got called away before the end of it, thus nixing the good night kiss. And then the next time they ‘went out’, it had been 72 hours and when he went in for the good night kiss, she said they were better AS FRIENDS,”
“...THAT’S what you're basing this insane rule on? A story about people we barely know?”
“Well, it was also on Scrubs. Elliot and JD had to go through SO MUCH just because he couldn’t man up in those 24 hours!” They insisted.
“Oh my god, I’m hanging up--”
“WAIT WAIT WAIT, Come on Y/N just hear me out,” They begged. You sighed, putting two fingers across your eyes.
“Alright, let’s hear it,”
“Look, you can choose to think I’m full of shit, but you gotta ask yourself: Are you willing to chance it?”
You bit your lip, actually pondering if she could be right.
“And you better think REAL quick, because your time has already been cut in half,”  they added.
“NOW what the hell are you talking about?”
“You’re like, on a ‘vacation’ right now. Barba is FINALLY seeing you, like a person. A woman. Someone who’s not up his ass for warrants or bitching about deadlines,”
“I’m not that--” you tried protesting.
“Shush. No time. You’re in like, another dimension right now. I’ll bet money as SOON as you hit the city line he’s gonna go back to his robot self and remember the fact that you two are completely inappropriate--”
“Oh come on that’s a strong--” you once again tried defending yourself.
“I’m just saying what he’s gonna reason, babe. You know I’m right,”
You paced the bathroom now, thinking of all the reasons you and Barba were bad news.
“....What if he’s already there? What if that’s why he walked off? What if he’s talking himself out of….ANYTHING?”
“THIS IS WHAT I’M SAYING, HELLO You need another ‘moment’, but without everyone staring at you. I’ll bet you anything that’s what got him into his head all of a sudden,”
Your eyes widened, remembering the front row seats your entire squad had to your little romantic moment.
“Oh my god you might be right...they were all staring at us,”
“See?? You need to get him alone,” They went on, as you walked out of the bathroom.
“...Fuck,”
“What? Fuck what? WHAT?!”
“I may have run out of time,”
You saw Barba approaching the booth again, Olivia gesturing wildly. The body language of their conversation did not seem very encouraging. What was worse, Amber walked up and handed them a check.
“I think we’re leaving, Olivia got the check and she looks like a mad mom bitching out her ten year old for trying to swipe candy,” You groaned, ducking behind a man with a huge cowboy hat and following behind him to a seat at the bar, out of the squad’s eye line.
“You need more time! You can’t just get in the car and drive back with everybody there, the ‘moment’ will never happen!”
“Okay can you stop with this, I’m already flipping out enough without you stating the obvious,” you twirled your hair and bit your lip.
“....You need to do something to your car.” they suddenly threw that at you like it was a completely reasonable statement.
“EXCUSE ME?”
“Slash one of your tires!”
“Are you high right now, be honest with me,” You narrowed your eyes.
“Desperate times, babe,”
“Desperate times, not PSYCHOTIC times,”
“Look if you have a flat tire, you’ll have to call AAA and have them come and fix it, that should give you at least an hour. Then you can go back inside, get him ALONE, and get your moment!” They tried reasoning with you. Was that Hurricane THAT strong, or were they actually making some sense?
“...Why am I listening to this?” you kept a straight face, even though it was just a phone call.
“You can act smug all you want baby, but I can hear it in your voice; you’re considering it,”
“Of course I’m considering it! But it’s...it’s insane. It’s like, ‘Fatal Attraction’ crazy,”
“Ok I’m not telling you to boil his bunny, just inconvenience yourselves for another hour, drama queen,” you could hear both of you rolling your respective eyes at each other.
“And what’s more insane; puncturing a tire, or giving up something we both know you’ve wanted for MONTHS,” They pointed out.
“How do you--” You blinked in disbelief.
“Girl, please. I knew before you did, and I’ve never even met the man,”
After several more moments of silence, you pulled your keys towards your face.
“...I’ll call you later,”
Before you could talk yourself out of it, you sprinted outside to the parking lot and back to your car. You pulled the nail file attached to your key ring, and stared at your tires.
“God forgive me…” You sighed, making a sign of the cross across your chest before kneeling next to your left rear tire.
You dragged the nail file across the tire, it barely made a scratch. Panic began filling your head, thinking of missing any chance to have Rafael’s lips on yours. Your BFF was right, you probably had a thing for him the moment you met him; even though you hadn’t even dared to let yourself think about it, until this morning. This WAS like an alternate dimension, it was like the rules of the ‘normal’ world were moot.
The emotions of it all bubbled to a head as you stared at the tire; with a sort of pathetic battle cry, you PLUNGED the nail file into your tire and pulled it HARD across the top. Air came gushing out, the tire deflating in mere seconds. You sat back, the nail file in your hand like a machete, your breath going in and out like you had just run a marathon. Okay, you did go a LITTLE psycho there for a second.
You barely had time to admire the work, you knew you had to go back inside to make it look like you had been in the bathroom this whole time.
There was no going back now.
----
Back inside you weaved in and out of the crowd back towards the bathroom, then made a turn for the booth so it looked like you had come from that direction. You walked up slowly, still hidden in the crowded bar as you heard an exchange between Barba and Oliva.
“...What I’m saying is, don’t start leading her on when you know it’s not going anywhere,”
“How do you know it’s not going anywhere, Liv?”
“Barba. Be serious,”
Oh hell no. Who was she to make that decision? Surely he didn’t think that...did he?
“HEY, hi,” you spoke up loudly, the entire group jumping at your rather loud greeting.
“Oh hey Y/N we uh, I got the check. I just went ahead and paid for everybody, and when I say I, I mean Dodd’s,” She smiled, like she hadn’t just insulted the fuck out of you.
“Oh, yeah? Ready to head home then?” You acted completely oblivious, noticing Rafael was avoiding your eyes.
“Yeah, I’ve got my nanny waiting on me and it’s already...8 o clock?!” Olivia gasped, looking at her phone.
“Good lord, how long have we been here? I better call my sitter,” Amanda grabbed her own phone out of her bag as the group walked out.
“Well, we were driving for a good 45 minutes outside of Hartford before Rafael made us stop here,”
“Wait, what?” You now for the very first time, took a good long look at the parking lot. The bar was next to a motel on one side, a gas station on the other side next to it. And then field, across from it. And for miles.
You were literally in the middle of nowhere.
“Oh god…” you muttered, mentally yelling obscenities at your BFF and yourself for listening to their bat shit logic. Fin glanced at you quizzically, overhearing your ranting-- and then you heard Sonny’s voice.
“Is that….?”
You saw him gesture towards your back wheel. FUCK.
“Oh my god, are you serious?? A Flat tire?!” Amanda slammed her phone against your car.
“Barba must have driven across a nail, or glass, or something in the parking lot. Probably a broken beer bottle if we’re being honest,” Sonny scoffed looking at the less than stellar cars in the parking lot.
“Hey it’s not Barba’s fault!” You snapped defensively, once again mentally face palming. THINK before speaking.
“I mean it’s...it’s nobody’s fault, right? I mean, maybe the road people? Or, drunk hicks? Certainly no one here in this vicinity though, I mean obviously,” Nope, still couldn’t stop talking.
Olivia’s eyes narrowed, looking from you to Barba, who was staring at the pavement silently. She started to say something, but realized she had no concrete evidence to start throwing accusations.
“She’s right Liv, it was just a stupid accident,” Fin chimed in, patting Olivia’s shoulder.
“Do you at least have AAA?” Olivia asked you, still suspicious of the sudden turn of events.
“Oh yeah, I’ve...I’ve never used it before though,” You dug into your wallet and pulled out a worn out AAA card. Olivia took it and started dialing the number into her phone.
You took this moment to start your mission, despite the fact that your plan was quickly running off the rails.
“Can we…?” You motioned sideways, Barba nodded and moved to the side with you.
“Look, Y/N. The whole dance thing it was, cute. Flattering.”
“Flattering?” you scoffed. Seriously?
“But, I mean you know we’re in front of the whole squad, and we’re working,” His words cut you like knives. Was he actually implying that whole was embarrassing?
“ ..And I just don’t think--”
“ARE YOU SERIOUS?” Olivia’s booming voice snapped you both out of the conversation.
“Yeah, well-- thanks a lot,” she scoffed, tossing your card as she hung up the phone.
“Hey I might--” you walked back over to her, her red hot eyes meeting yours.
“You don’t have AAA out here,” she spoke directly to you, the annoyance of her voice turning to anger.
“W-What do you mean they don’t--”
“I mean, Y/N-- your AAA card is for NEW YORK, and we’re still in CONNECTICUT,”
“Liv seriously will you knock it off? Leave her alone, she didn’t know,” Barba finally spoke up in defense of you, putting space between you and Olivia.
“I’m...I’m sorry, Y/N. I know it’s not your fault,” she apologized, not knowing it was indeed your fault.
“What am I gonna tell Lucy? We’re going to be stuck here until morning,” She sighed.
“Morning?” Amanda exclaimed angrily. “What about my Jesse?”
“I’m sure Lucy will watch her at my place with Noah, Amanda. I’ll call her right now,” Olivia assured her, the two of them walking off to the side.
You started running your hands through your hair and pacing like mad, trying not to hyperventilate. This wasn’t supposed to happen!! This was supposed to be a MINOR inconvenience, not a crisis! WHY did you listen to your BFF?
“Hey, are you ok?” Barba came up behind you and put both hands on your shoulders.
“Come on Y/N you know that’s not what I--” he protested but you wouldn’t hear it.
“Why do you care all of a sudden? Didn’t I embarrass you in front of your colleagues?” You snapped your head around, glaring at him.
“Can we please just forget it, PLEASE? I am already getting my karmic ass kicked, I don’t need you lecturing me on top of it,” You started walking towards the door of the bar.
“What? I’m not lecturing you I don’t--” He trailed behind you.
“EXACTLY,” You spun back around, planting your feet as you stared directly into his eyes. He stopped suddenly almost on top of you, surprised by your sudden stop; his puppy dog eyes were begging you to forgive him.
“Exactly. You don’t want to, I get it counselor. I get it. I should have never--” you feigned tears welling up in your throat.
“Carino--” he went for your hand.
“Don’t. Just-- I’m sorry. For all of this,” You snapped your hand back and ran back inside the bar, noticing Barba following right behind you. Your fake tear filled face now slid into a sly smirk.
You were getting this moment come hell or high water now.

How you & Dr. Cox get together
Dr. Cox x reader small jd x reader
A/n: Sorry this is so long loll 😅 credit to @mona-stay for helping me with this and being my beta!!! 💕💕💕
Tumblr media
It sucks when you like someone but it especially sucks when it's someone you're working with. it can be hard to get their attention especially in a hospital.
Of course you first thought Perry Cox was arrogant and full of himself. But it was all an act and he started growing on you the more the days went on. You guys didn't talk much but just seeing him around was enough to make your heart Start pumping out of its chest. He was so hot.
You heard a rumour that
"Cox has feelings for Carla" and they seemed pretty close so you didn't interfere. You got confused when Carla started dating Turk Jd's best friend. You and Jd talked only a little here & there, but when he broke up with Elliot you guys starting talking more and helplessly flirted. So you guys agreed to be friends with benefits.
Your feelings grew more for Perry when you saw his true colors on this one specific day:
Flashback
You were not having the best day. You lost two people. You lost a kid in the morning that was born premature and a girl who had terminal cancer. The rest of the day was going to torturous.
Crying in the medicine room for awhile, you heard someone come in. Perry Cox. You quickly wiped the tears away, picked up some random bottle to make it seem like that's why you were in there and started walking out.
"Hey, I was looking for you." He says with something in his voice you couldn't quite place.
"Look I don't need one of your world famous Dr. Cox lectures or rants right now. I know I could have done better I don't need you telling me too." You said.
"I wasn't gonna say that actually. I was going to tell you that I think you did a good job."
"Really?"
"Yeah ever since you started working here you haven't needed me half as much as the others. You're independent, smart, and there was nothing you could have done differently to save those lives." You were now on the verge of tears. "it would have happened no matter who was their doctor. Don't doubt yourself for a second."
"Wow... thank you. That means a lot coming from you." You let a tear shed, turning to walk away you heard: "Hey.. uh my shifts up in a few minutes wanna grab a cup of coffee?"
"Yeah sure, I'd love that."
~~~
You guys sat down after being in line getting your coffees.  "Hey how are you feeling?"
"awful."
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asks.
"Well... we knew it was terminal and the day would come, but it doesn't make it any easier. It's not fair, she was so Young." He must have seen you were about to cry again so he put his hand over yours.
"It doesn't get easier but that just means you can't let it tear you down. It means you have feelings. I remember my first time losing someone, 20 years later I still react the same."
"What do you do with the pain?"
"I drink my pain away. Always will always have. Also every now and then I talk it out with someone. Maybe your boyfriend Abby can help you with that."
"Jd? Oh no we're not dating. I told him it would be better if we were just friends."
"Oh."
"What about you? Who's your special someone."
"No one at the moment."
You guys lost track of the time and stayed in the cafe over an hour just talking. He truly did make you feel better.
Jd came in the Lunchroom and started heading over to you guys:
"oh hey you guys are still here. Are you ready to carpool?."
"Yeah sure. By the way (you looked back at Cox) you were right it was nice talking with someone." You smiled at him.
"Of course I'm always right." He said teasing, which you laughed too.
"I really appreciated this. See you tomorrow."
"Yeah, see ya."
End of flashback
~~
Since yesterday you couldn't stop thinking of him even more. You had to walk past him so you nodded saying "doctor Cox."
"Doctor (y/l/n)." He was smiling too much, but you didn't get to see since you were walking away. When you left he did a little "ugh" but the good one.
"Ooo looks like someone has a crush." Carla said.
"Oh no I don't."
"No? what do you call it when you smile like that?"
"I am not smiling -  (he stops the smiling) no I'm not and I call it one of the only people in this hospital that doesn't drive me crazy? Ding ding ding ding ding we have a winner and it's not you anymore."
"Oh please you know I'm right!" She says while he walks away.
~~The next week~~
You had just finished up your shift and wanted to change from your scrubs. It had been a long day so you were ready for a drink. You had on a nice top that was a little revealing but hey Friday night was the night to let your hair down right?!
You were walking towards the front of the hospital where you seen Todd, Cox and Carla. Of course Todd was drooling. "Boobies. Oh… I mean you look hot."  Todd blurted out before he could stop himself.
"Todd give It a rest." Cox said hitting him on the head.
Todd shrugs looking towards Carla "but she does look hot" he said low so cox wouldn't hear.
"You look nice." Perry says, taking a step closer. OMG HE THINKS I LOOK HOT. His tone sounded slightly sarcastic but the cheek wink and flirty smirk, definitely made it clear to you alone he really meant it. "going anywhere special?" he asked.
You could feel the blush on your cheeks burn, "erm only the local with these two" you pointed at Carla and Todd "the others are meeting us there, you should come"
"Ah no i don't want to Intrude."
"Oh no you won't be. Plus I'll need someone cool to talk to."
"I'll think about it." he winks.
"Hopefully I'll see you there."
~~
The whole time you kept checking the door to see who was coming in and every time you got disappointed. He never showed up.
JD walked over to you and asked: "Hey why do you keep checking the door? who are you waiting for?"
You shrugged "no one." Carla gave you a sad smile.
You may have thought you had someones attention but maybe it wasn't enough to pull them in.
~~~
Fear is something we're constantly fighting. Weather its a new relationship or a new job it always seems to be there.
Carla walks in the hospital and sees Dr. Cox
"Why say your gonna be somewhere and not show up?''
"ahh don't let the bf hear you say that but I'm flattered you missed me."
Fear can make you do a lot of things like, not show up to something even though you really wanted to go.
"it's not me who missed you but if your gonna play y/n like you do all the interns I'm not gonna stand around and watch."
"y/n only wanted me there because I was there for her when she lost those people."
Carla soften up "maybe but that girl had eyes for you since day one and if weren't so full of it you would have seen that."
Cox is quiet for a moment and rubs his head.
 "see you do like her too!"
"I don't and even if I did it can't happen."
"why?"
"Well it's unethical we work together"
"yeah right like that ever stopped you. Next excuse."
"so what? even if it's possible to date each other why would she want me, I'm sure she'll find herself some younger nicer boyfriend."
"Sure you are ignorant most of the time but we know that you are no Bob kelso. You are a good man and that's what she sees."
"Ehh yeah i don't know."
"I think you're just scared to commit." He stands quiet again. Carla was looking at something behind him.
"...But if you don't believe me you can ask her yourself."  Perry turned and saw you standing there.
Maybe after all you did have their attention..
"is that really how you feel?" You asked him.
"look I like you but I'm older and I have a lot of baggage."
"we all have our baggage. And as long as the age I don't care. We don't have to get serious or jump right in, we can go out and have fun and just see where the feelings lead us. "
"that sounds good. Wanna go grab a drink after work? I promise I'll show up this time."
"i would love that." You giggle.
In the end it just takes talking it out with a friend to get over- well anything. In some cases it might help you realize that you shouldn't let fear hold you back.

So I was reading this awesome aromantic roundtable led by one of the editors, writers and creators - Claudie Arseneault - of the upcoming Common Bonds Anthology (which did get fully funded, if you remember its kickstarter!), and early on, there was a question proposed about everyone’s favorite platonic relationships in media, and it got me thinking. At first, I couldn’t even think of any platonic relationships. Too much pressure! And I wasn’t a part of the roundtable, LOL. But I’ve been stewing on it for the day now, and I want to share some of my favorite platonic relationships in media to help celebrate them!
Christina Yang and Meredith Grey (Grey’s Anatomy)
The friendship that, from what I knew, spawned the “my person” trend. The unlikely friendship that grew from similar ambition and mutual respect of knowledge and skill. Christina and Meredith were always there for each other through everything. At the end of the day, they were there for each other. Sandra Oh leaving Grey’s Anatomy was a huge blow to me because this duo is an extremely important female friendship. These women compete with each other, but they use that ambition to better themselves. They don’t cut each other down to get ahead. They don’t mistreat each other for the attention of men. They’re not just misogynistic tropes that men write a lot. They’re real, complex, beautiful, wonderful women. And they’re not very touchy-feely, but you can still see and feel the depths of how much they care for each other. They’re extremely important for me as a person who’s fairly touch averse and slogged through friendships with people who literally used the word “train” to describe their invasion of my boundaries, as in training me to stand their touch.
Carla Espinosa and Elliot Reid (Scrubs)
A slow-burn friendship that grew out of the embers of conflict and annoyance for each other. This relationship is important to me because it’s a very similar relationship that I had with one of the very best friends I’ve ever had. Like Elliot, she was well-meaning and wanted to be friends. Like Carla, I had a hard time putting my defenses down and it didn’t help that I found her eagerness annoying. But through a ridiculous - and looking back on it, hilarious - situation, we did become friends, just like Carla and Elliot. This friendship shows growth. I love how Carla and Elliot didn’t just become friends at first sight. We see them work on fostering their relationship and working to re-connect later in the series when they’ve become distracted by other things going on in their life.
John Dorian aka JD and Chris Turk (Scrubs)
It’s so refreshing and wonderful to see such a close male friendship on TV between two men who, even if one sometimes struggles with it or just struggles to admit it, are vulnerable with each other. Turk and JD are so close, and their relationship is often lovingly teased for seeming so romantic. This friendship breaks barriers of what platonic relationships really can be. It’s a great example of how much two friends can love each other and how important friendships can be. It’s a celebration of platonic love in a world where platonic love is often downplayed and dismissed in favor of romantic relationships.
John Dorian aka JD and Carla Espinosa (Scrubs)
Honestly, Scrubs is just a goldmine of different types of relationships, of celebrating them and understanding them and exploring them. I miss this show so much; it was a gift in so many ways. JD and Carla are so sweet with each other. I especially love how good of friends they are, and it never becomes romantic with them. There’s never a will-they, won’t-they between them. They drunkenly kiss once and both of them find it awkward and weird. They’re friends, and there is no “more” than that for them. Their friendship is something to be celebrated and nurtured. It’s meaningful, and I love it.
Liz Ortecho and Maria DeLuca (Roswell, New Mexico)
I’m not even fully through this show yet, and Liz and Maria are just so wonderful and heartwarming to watch. Their friendship is not the focus of the show, but what we see of it is strong and supportive and just makes me plain happy to see. (((SPOILERS))) [When they’re starting to think Maria may be the murderer, Liz vehemently defends her and knows she can’t be the killer. In this day and age of grim and gritty shows, it would have been easy to let Liz doubt Maria and grow suspicious of her. Instead, she stayed true to their friendship.] (((END SPOILERS))) Just the small ways in which they support each other are really great, too, like when Liz lays her head on Maria’s shoulder for comfort.
Okoye and T’Challa (Black Panther)
Everything in Black Panther was so well done. It’s absolutely a movie that showcased and celebrated so many different kinds of healthy relationships: platonic, familial, romantic... It was part of the draw of all the protagonists. I especially love Okoye and T’Challa, though. That moment when T’Challa’s story really begins and we see Okoye playfully teasing T’Challa about the mission stole my heart. Okoye isn’t just a bodyguard, and T’Challa isn’t just a leader. They are truly friends. They know each other extremely well. They’re friendly and familiar with each other, again, in a way that’s never meant to be leading up to romance. They just have such familiarity and comfort with each other that even without any backstory, it’s clear to us all how important they are to each other.
Leslie Knope and Ann Perkins, Leslie Knope and Donna Meagle, Donna Meagle and Tom Haverford, Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson, Ron Swanson and April Ludgate (Parks and Rec)
Honestly, I never planned on even watching Parks and Rec. Then one day I was out of shows to catch up on and nothing sounded interesting and Parks and Rec had a lot of seasons that could keep me busy, and I fell in love despite thinking I’d hate the show. Leslie and Ann were the first friends to pop into my head, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized how many amazing friendships were in this show, and I couldn’t pick. But considering how many it is, I didn’t want to separate them all out. Anyway, we all need a good humor once in a while, and Parks is Rec is one of those I’ll keep coming back to when I need something to cheer me up. A lot of these friendships are established at the beginning of the show, but we also get to watch a lot of them grow and evolve. I love all the different ways they support each other, from Leslie’s blatant showering of love and affection with words and physical touch and gifts to Donna and Tom encouraging each other to just do something for themselves to Ron and April’s stoic but deeply caring relationship and walkaround communication. They’re all such strong and different personalities, yet they come together in this beautiful melding of hope and optimism. Throughout it all, they never lose their individuality or sense of self, and that’s what makes them love each other even more.
Phoebe Buffay and Joey Tribbiani (Friends)
There’s a lot to be said about Friends and a lot of it is bad, but I’ve always loved Phoebe and Joey. I love their casual flirtation with each other. These two can say pretty much anything to each other, even the weirdest stuff, with basically no judgement. They have the sweetest, funniest moments when it’s just the two of them, when they can be unabashedly themselves in front of each other.
Rowan Northwood and Rán (Dragonoak trilogy)
I love Rowan and Rán separately and I love them together. Rán is just so friendly and open, you can’t help but immediately fall in love with her. She becomes someone Rowan can really lean on, and she’s Rowan’s teacher in many ways about the wider world than the one she grew up in. By the end of the trilogy, their friendship has grown into something that seemed really reminiscent to me of a queerplatonic relationship. We get to follow the journey of them meeting and becoming friends and growing to really love and support each other more and more throughout the series. Honestly, they’re like a warm hug or freshly baked plate of cookies.
Zélie Adebola and Roën (Children of Blood and Bone)
Two people with very different experiences and backgrounds who have both experienced deep pain and loss and have a pretty tragic backstory. They’ve ended up coping with these experiences in pretty different ways. Zélie has become extremely passionate and serious, and in the beginning, she’s always ready for a fight. Roën is a charmer who is more likely to use humor and quick wit to cope. Yet they can share really intimate moments of understanding between each other as they get to know and really understand who the other person is. There’s definite chemistry between them. They’re both extremely magnetic personalities who dominate the pages they share together.
Jamie and Hazel (Girls with Slingshots)
I think I originally checked out this webcomic after hearing it had an asexual character. Though the comic has a lot of sex and sex jokes, I immediately fell in love with it, and that was absolutely a result of the friendship between the upbeat, cutie Jamie and cynical, pessimist Hazel. So many different aspects of their personalities and relationship reminded me of me and my friend, though it was different aspects of both of them that represented both of us. Jamie and Hazel were really the first friends I read about who could be so open with each other no matter the subject. My friends and I in HS all gravitated towards each other because we were closeted/unknowing queer kids. As a result, we went through our teenage years pretty repressed. Sex jokes were made, but none of us were seriously talking about or even considering sex. My friend was totally embarrassed and ashamed to admit that she masturbated, and it wasn’t because she felt awkward that I was asexual. Seeing the totally open and unashamed relationship between Jamie and Hazel taught me a lot and broke down a lot of social barriers I hadn’t realized existed. I love how well these two totally different people could work with each other.
Troy Barnes and Abed Nadir (Community)
I was super late to the Community bandwagon, but glad I decided to give it a watch, anyway! Who couldn’t love the totally weird duo of Troy and Abed who loved just getting weird, doing shenanigans, and performing bits with each other? Another great example of two people very different from each other just finding this innate bond with each other and truly taking joy in each other’s company. Watching them have fun together is a treat; it’s just plain fun to see how much fun they can have doing the silliest, even rather meaningless, things.
Anyway, I’ve been working on this post for a while now, it’s already very long, and I need to go to bed, so I’m going to stop here!
Please feel free to add your own favorite platonic relationships to this post! From any medium! You don’t have to write as much as I did! Just naming them is fine! Let’s celebrate platonic relationships in all their glory. o3o

This story is dedicated to @thinitta cause it's just one way to say something I think I don't say to her yet: I love you, we are like a sisters even if we live so far... And I love our crazy conversations XD
SHE IS PERFECT FOR HIM
Luke Alvez didn’t know he was so sentimental before he saw Penelope, sitting in the church next to him, crying during a colleague's wedding. Yet, a song doesn’t stop turning in the head, even after, during the reception, especially when, with great joy, he ends up again next to the blonde IT, sitting right in front of him.
I change, perhaps, always nice, no, nice for me, that I see you always nice that I feel like dying. Even if you close the doors in front of me, sometimes, even if I’m alone and far away, sometimes, and when I am in the hotel, I’m less mine and more of the fate, and write it in a terrible letter, but if you carry a cross, don’t keep it in silence in the soul, love, shout it out loud!
He has eyes just for her, the whole table realizes it. He already feels lucky like that, a whole day without unsub to chase, so long time to admire her. But she, as always, ignores him, talks to JJ about the marriage of the latter and a missed one, hers. And while he feels jealousy rise, towards a stranger who has had the ardor of asking Penelope's hand, something falls on his shoulder. He raises his head and understands instantly.
-Well, they say: wet bride is a lucky bride!- someone exclaims, while some women scream, complaining about the hairstyle cost hours and money. Luke has always loved the rain and today his level of worship goes up considerably. The hotel where the reception is held obviously had foreseen this eventuality, in fact the tables are ready inside, in a decidedly less suggestive, but dry environment. Even these with the seats assigned and not exchangeable. He and Penelope, jubilation, end up with a group of strangers, or rather unknown. The bride's friends and bridesmaids.
-Excuse me.- Penelope draws the attention of a waiter. -There must be a mistake. We... I should be with the groom's friends.- the young man looks displeased.
-I'm desolate, miss, but these are the procedures. Take this opportunity to make new friends.- and he goes away. He never thought that Garcia had these problems, indeed, the opposite, but today she seems so lost in her thoughts. In the end she surrenders, sits down next to him and sighs.
-Well, it seems that fate wants to keep us close.- Luke says, not very loud, pouring himself a drink. Then he asks her if she wants the same, and she shrugs, holding out her glass. Their fingers touch each other.
-Yeah, Newbie, I bet you did it raining, on purpose.- he chuckles, glad that she wants to play in this way. It is definitely a beautiful day.
-Yes, uh, it happens that I have a friend in the meteorological institute...- it's not even a complete lie. He approaches slightly, winking at her and the blonde can’t help but smile, shaking her head.
-Hey, it looks like you've impressed someone.- she whispers softly, causing shivers down his back with her hot breath. They look at each other, he with a confused expression. -Do you see that beautiful brunette, on the other side of the table? Since we've arrived, she's just staring you.- Luke raises his head to check and she stops him. -Stupid, she could see you!- their mouths are only a few centimeters apart and for a moment he loses control. Then Penelope lets him go and returns to a normal position.
-Too bad that I prefer blondes.- he comments shamelessly flirtatious.
-Ha ha, very funny. Instead you look exactly the kind of man who likes brunette, Latin, slender, tiny, in short...- she gets stuck, because she ended up on rough terrain. He laughs openly.
-Brunette, Latin...? That is a feminine version of me. So boring.- the waiters pass to collect the dishes with the leftovers of the appetizer. It will be a long day. -No, I repeat, I’m attracted more to blondes. Light hair, fair skin...- he passes the tongue on the lips. -Better yet, if she wears glasses.- he dared too much and in response receives a weak fist on the arm.
-The more time passes and the more you become stupid, Alvez.- but at the same time Penelope keeps an eye on the brunette who keeps looking at them.
-It's the effect you're doing to me.- she seems to be back in time and there's Morgan beside her, not Luke. She misses to flirting with a man, but she doesn’t flirt with him, never, it's too... dangerous. She looks up at the sky. Without stopping to stare her, the man tries to grab the glass, but he clashes right with... that brunette. Penelope doubts that she took the opportunity to find an excuse to start talking. -Oh, sorry .- Luke is forced to turn around.
-Don’t worry, it was my fault, I'm so clumsy...- yes, she's definitely right, the woman did it on purpose. Penelope finds herself annoyed, but believes it is due to her feminine pride. She would never falling in down to impress a man. Luke smiles politely at the chick. -You're a federal, are not you? I think I saw you on TV.- he nods, shrugging his shoulders modestly.
-I could say the same thing. I'm Luke, nice to meet you. And she is Penelope, the best computer technician in the world.- uh, definitely exaggerated. The blonde is stunned by this presentation, especially because the last time he had said to her a compliment like that, it was a mockery. She merely smiles and shakes her hand.
-But sure, you both work for the unit of behavioral analysis with Spencer!- apparently they are more famous than they thought. -And... if I can ask, sorry but I work for a tabloid newspaper... professional deformation... how long have you been together, you two? There would be perfect to write an article on the changes in recent years within the federal regulation against fraternization at work.- Penelope, who was drinking, almost chokes, while a smile on the face of Luke is painted. However, she talks first.
-No, we're not engaged, we're just colleagues. Just colleagues.- any psychologist could tell him that repetition is certainly a sign of nervousness, present when trying to tell a lie. And Garcia has never been good at lying, as far as he knows. In addition, she seems decidedly blushing.
-Ah, weird. I could have sworn that...- even the brunette who, according to Penelope was interested in him, remains confused. Before she can restrain him, Luke decides to say his own.
-Well, it's actually she who thinks so, but I'm not satisfied to be just his "colleague".- he says the last word in a strange way. -And I don’t give up. She's about to go down, I feel it.- the blonde's protest is slowed by the arrival of the first plate. Spencer have been very attentive and warned all staff that she was a vegetarian. What she doesn’t understand is why the waiter served the same dish also to Alvez. He understands where her gaze fell. -I didn’t want you to feel alone...- he whispers softly, and the tone seems very serious. Penelope swallows and chooses to ignore it.
-Wow, guys, you'd be perfect for a TV series. There is so much feeling between you two. One shot and we would already have a million shippers, I'm sure.- the IT decides to change the subject.
-Do you know who is the best ship ever? Melinda and Jim. Ghost whisperer. Fabulous. They have shown that there is no need for the typical tension of the "before they get together" phase to drive fans all over the world crazy. When he dies, he refuses to leave her and enters that body and forgets her, but he is still pushed towards her... and then when he finally remembers... I have consumed a box of tissues, and if I accidentally turn on the TV and there is that scene, it's the same thing, always.- Penelope talks in one of her passionate monologues. He loves to listen to her, because every time he discovers something new that concerns her. In this case, the thought of her that looks at such shows and is moved doesn’t surprise him. He had imagined it exactly like that.
-You are right, it's one of the best ships that exist. Then Jennifer Love Hewitt is a great actress, very beautiful, without falling into the vulgar, intense... however, I'm so stupid, I realized I hadn’t introduce myself yet. I'm Clara, one of the bride's bridesmaids.- Penelope has definitely changed her mind about the brunette and now they're both immersed in sharing ships, one of the quickest methods in the current millennium to make friends instantly. If you share my ship, then I could even fall in love with you.
-And in your opinion? What is the couple that made you suffer more and that was successful?- Luke has been transformed from an object of desire to an uncomfortable third wheel, and is not sure that it displeases him.
-Elliot and JD, definitely.- seeing the confused expression of Penelope, she opens her mouth. -Don’t tell me you never watching Scrubs!- the other hurries to deny. -Oh, you scared me. It was a continuous back and forth, but even when they were separated... it was as if they were together anyway. And in the end, they got married. Better than that, it could not have ended.- both women utter dreamy sighs. -Now it's your turn.- of them three, Luke is the only one who is eating.
-Ok, I'm a bit ashamed, but... Ted and Robin.- no need to specify which series it is, he even understood it. -I think that producers and screenwriters have found a good idea, that of a father who tells his children how he met their mother and ends up putting in everything about the period of his youth... I do it for anything, talk nonsense, I mean, as at this moment.- they laugh in an accomplice way. -But in the meantime they needed something to move it all, and although the ship between Lily and Marshall is great...- spoiler alarm. -...it is still the canonical ship and it needed a more... messed up. But they have definitely exaggerated, creating the story of Ted and Robin. The French horn was the pinnacle, but there is so much to tell you...- Clara nods, but doesn’t seem entirely agree.
-I have a confession to make, that I fear will break your heart.- even if she is a journalist, it could very well be an actress like Lila. She takes Penelope's hand in hers. -I went on the dark side...- the blonde opens her eyes and nods her head. -Yes, I'm sorry... but I prefer Robin and Barney.- it can be true friendship only if you are able to overcome the diversity of opinions on one of your favorite couples. Penelope nods, not letting go.
-Yes, well, I find them nice too. It is difficult to choose, I think the producers have just done a bullshit, with this double possibility. But after all, their goal is only to have ratings, that people look at it so as to continue to obtain financing.- the sad reality behind every alleged work of art. Sad and resigned sighs.
-But let's move on to really important things. Do you love more the couples who are already canon, engaged, married, like Jim and Melinda, or those of which we see the slow development?- oh yes, it is these, the fundamental things of life. But he is curious to discover Penelope's answer.
The woman seems to think about it. -It's a difficult question, I love both possibilities. Perhaps, but... more the second. I believe that, even in real life, the phase in which everything is in the balance, in short, it is clear that two people are going in one direction but there is still uncertainty, every moment is full of possibilities... is the best. Like the moments before the first kiss...- Luke manages to attract his attention brushing her arm. -What's there?- for a thousandth of a second they look into each other's eyes and only they exist, as pure spirit.
-Nothing, I wanted to know if the ladies liked to drink.- he also winks at Clara, who is quick to hand over her glass. Penelope nods her head. But is it just a casual gesture, or should he read more behind it?
-Anyway I agree, those are among the best moments, even if I always find myself shouting at the television as it is possible that someone is so naive as to not understand when the person he is in love with, feels the same.- the blonde doesn’t notices it, but Clara launches a decidedly explicit look at Luke, and certainly not to flirting with him. The man tightens his lips and raises his eyebrows, as if to say that he no longer knows what to do. -And how kind of dynamic? Friends or enemies? Or, let's not forget, there is also the "first in bed and then exchange of names" version. Usually these are the couples that last longer.- she laughs, while Penelope blushes.
-Uh, I'm a bit bad, but I love when the man is clearly the more taken and she, although not fully aware of it, for some reason decides to keep him at a distance and treat him a bit bad... I don’t know, I think it is guilt of my feminism.- Luke chokes with a mouthful and is forced to drink again. He swaps another look with Clara.
-Give me an example.. it is now clear that the journalist has decided to give him a hand, even if she doesn’t know why. Perhaps she got slightly carried way by this story of the ship.
-Well, Kate and Tony. Although there the situation was fairly balanced, but between the two, in the end, he was the more taken. When Kate died, I stopped looking at NCSI.- a thoughtful pause. -Jack and Amanda. Diagnosis Murder. It's an old series, but, hell, I rewatched an episode by mistake last week and... I realized I was shipping them even more than in the past. Unfortunately, between them there was been only a kiss...- Penelope hasn’t quite understood that she is ending in a trap. As the protagonist of any self-respecting fanfiction, she is naive and unaware.
-Yes, I remember, when Jack saves her life, one of many times.- the blonde nods with emphasis. -But don’t you think that their relational dynamics could be described as that between brother and sister? I don’t know about you, but I grew up with two older brothers and they treated me that way, but they weren’t in love with me, I assure you.- Clara has launched the supreme challenge. She has to demonstrate that her ship contains the motivations to become canon.
And the IT certainly doesn’t hold back. She positions herself better on the chair, waits for the waiters to pass with the second plate, and starts to talking, as a lawyer who exposes his plea in court. -I have three brothers, no, it's not their case. These are imperceptible things, because after all it is not a comedy, but an old-fashioned crime, so relationships develop in the margins, as a boundary and are often used to create hilarious situations. But if we go to see the nuances well, Jack is clearly jealous of Amanda, like in that episode with the doctor who finally flirt with her friend in front of her and it turns out that he was also the killer...- Clara nods, looks a second to Luke, almost winks and then returns to focus on Penelope.
-Yes, that Jack is interested in Amanda is also clear to me. But to be together, they must both be involved. And you say that from the way she behaves with him, that is, because she treats him badly, it's clear that Amanda also feels something for him. I say wrong?- well, Phil will not be offended to share the rule of his best man with Clara. If this is successful, it is the least he can do to thank her.
Luke turns directly to look at her, but Penelope doesn’t notice, so taken by the defense of her ship. -No, that's right. Because... after all, to treat badly, to keep at a distance, they are all defense techniques. The same thing happens between Danny and Linsday. At the beginning they can’t stand each other, they have to argue on any occasion, they prick each other and then... they even end up having two children. I think it's the crime couple with the most consistent dynamic, as Andrea and Semir of Cobra 11 Special Team for the action series.- Clara nods, then, after a few seconds, she stands up.
-Sorry, I... I'm going to the toilet for a moment.- she winks at Luke, who returns her.
Penelope turns to him. -Well, I was right. It seems that something is being born on this table. You'll have to thank your meteorologist friend...- the man smiles, but then realizes that she has clearly misunderstood.
-What are you saying?- meanwhile the time continues to flow, inexorable.
-You and Clara! Hey, I saw that you looked at each other all the time. When she comes back, I'll go to the bathroom, so that you can...- he silences her with three moves at the same time. Leaning forward, bring his face close to that of the woman; he puts a finger on her lips; with his other hand he grabs her arm.
-But what…? No, Garcia, you didn’t understand anything. I don’t care Clara, I told you, she's not my type. You see too many TV series and you can’t help shipping, even in the real world.- it sounds a bit too much as a reproach. She looks at the amber fingers around her arm. -Really, don’t you get it, Penelope? Even Clara noticed it, that’s the reason why we looked at each other while you are talking about couples and relationship dynamics and those things. Why can’t you apply the same parameters to yourself?- he lets her go and she starts breathing again. She can’t think, is confused.
-To myself?- she asks, with a little voice as a child.
-Yes, to yourself. Why the way Amanda treats Jack should be symptomatic of her interest, and the same behavior, yours with me, is not it?- again, she's out of breath, swallows, turns her head. Her body implements every possible defense to prevent that thought from making its way into her mind. -Why did you keep me at a distance before you even met me? And you call me Newbie?- too many questions, she feels like she's being accused, on the stand.
-I... you know. I told you, you took Morgan place, who was my best friend. I promised myself that I would hate anyone who replaced Derek, so it has nothing to do with you. You're not special.- she at least manages to convince herself.
-No, it's not just this. You were jealous of Roxy, when you thought she was my girlfriend. And you can’t hate people, Penelope.- damned all the profilers of the universe. -Do you say that you really don’t feel anything for me? That you don’t even like me a little?- he looks straight into her eyes, as he asks her, he doesn’t even know with what courage. Despair, of course. Clara will be take time on purpose to give them time to conclude.
-Uh, Luke...- signs of surrender: she has used his name; dilated pupils. -No, you're not my type. Surely many women think differently, that you're an attractive man, and there's nothing strange, because it's true.- she got messed up by herself. This time nobody will come to the rescue. -I mean, it's an objective fact, like... like... something that I can’t remember of right now.- she blushes to the tips of the ears and he swears that she's also sweating. -But the physical aspect is not enough, you know?- why she persists to treat him as if he were a superficial playboy?
-I know.- he blames the blow well, after all. -I told you, in fact, that as well as blonde, with clear skin, glasses, the girl I like also has a huge heart, is sweet, playful, and an absolute genius?- maybe white wine that Luke is sipping it was been altered by some substance or he doesn’t hold alcohol at all. It is the only explanation.
-Listen, Luke, I also love flirting and play this game, but sometimes less is more.- she makes clear, while in the distance sees Clara come.
-But it was never a game for me.- he tries to take her hand and sees her wavering.
-No?- before he can answer, the brunette sits, apologizing with her eyes.
-I couldn’t really miss the dessert.-
And... and I’m the only one who knows every answer, and I will not change with the passing time, and while I lose myself thinking about just love... and you remember that this is what I’m, and I challenge life always with my head down, because I care about just love... and I’m the only one who knows every memory, and for me you're not the first thing to come along, because for me you're just love... and I’m the only one who know my mistakes, even if there is still a trace left, in front of everyone for you I’m just your love...
 The wedding is over, the couple have flown off for their honeymoon and everyone is slowly moving towards their respective destinations. Penelope doesn’t understand why Luke is still following her. -Hey, Newbie, the party is over, you can stop playing the part of the seducer, now.- if he was another type of man, would take her by the wrist and making her a turn that would catapult her in his arms. But, unfortunately, he is part of those who struggle to expose themselves with gestures of that kind, the opposite of macho.
-Play the part? Do you seriously think that I am like that? No, but you would like it. It would make things easier. But no. I'm the opposite of a seducer, and I'm not ashamed to tell you. I always thought it was better to be alone, don’t bind me, especially while I was at war. I'm not good with women, I don’t go to a romantic date since high school. I'm a complete landslide.- his words had the strength to stop her and force her to turn around. Luke performs in a sad smile.
-Why are you telling me all these things, Luke? Do you want to pity me? Do you need someone to vent your masculine instincts?- damn it, this woman would put a strain on anyone. -Because, I'm sorry, it's a tempting offer, I don’t deny, but...- he reaches her, shaking his head and sighing.
-Fuck, Garcia, do you think I just want to fuck with someone? Getting that would definitely be easier than a hug from you. We've known each other for two years, and the only kind words you've addressed to me have actually been directed to my dog. You don’t want to give me even a miserable chance.- she has never seen him so much altered, not with her, over all. Penelope trembles, but the fear of getting hurt is stronger than everything else.
-Chance for what, make me believe you're crazy in love with me and then make fun of me? You're not the only one who's been dry for quite a while. I'm better alone.- finally the truth. -It's just because I treated you badly, if you're so attached to me, don’t you realize? If only I...- Luke shakes his head and slowly lays his hands on her shoulders, then down the arms.
-No, it's not just for the chase, it's that I'm fine when I'm with you. I can’t hold back the smiles. And I feel like one of the protagonists of your TV series. And if you want to know, we already have a fan club. And a ship name.- Penelope opens her eyes and mouth. -All the team, but not only.- he answers to her mute questions. -People from O'Keef, Phil, even your Morgan. And Clara.- she doesn’t reply anything. -Garvez, the name is Garvez. Garcia and Alvez. It's not bad, what do you think? It’s by JJ.- of whom others, she had been the founding partner of the ship.
To get out of the quagmire, Penelope finds herself saying the first bullshit that goes through her head. -Lila is perfect for Spencer, because she will never ask him to stop loving Maeve.- Luke is so surprised to let her go. The mouth bent in his typical crooked grimace.
-You are right, she is perfect for him because she can understand and make him happy, even if they are completely different or maybe because of this. But what does it really mean what you said? That your first love is dead, or that you will never look at me in the way you look at Morgan?- the woman understands that he has no intention of surrendering. She sighs, bites her lips and returns to look at him.
-Of course, I'll never look at you as Morgan, you're not him. You're another person.- a calm, resigned tone. In the air around them it is possible to see the formation of the written canon in the sky, in cloud’s shape.
-And this is good or bad, for you?- it can’t just be a fixation, it can’t be just for the thrill of hunting, it can’t be just to take her to bed, it can’t be a sophisticated revenge. Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.
-I don't know.- she shrugs and he takes her face in his hands. -I can’t risk, do you understand? Because it was so damn taken for granted that I would have a crush on the new one, everyone was expecting it and I hate the obvious things, I hate them to death...- maybe when the man's soft lips press on hers, she changes her mind. A delicate kiss, trembling, at the same time intense. And in those few minutes a real process takes place in Penelope's mind. The defense attorney is herself, the only one to say no, she's not feeling anything because Luke is indifferent to her. Luke is the lawyer, that is the banality. The witnesses at the stand are all their friends and even some strangers. The jury is the heart of Penelope and the judge, who issues the sentence, the one who has the last word... is her head.
The blonde suddenly pulls off and looks at him. Luke thinks he messed things up, but it would still be worth it. Both the mind and the heart are repeating the same thing: you are perfect for him and he is perfect for you. Nothing else matters.
The bang of the gavel. The verdict is: guilty.

Note
But consider at Ted and Gooch's wedding, JD drinks too much and gets on the stage to make his toast, its a very nice drunk toast, as he gets to the end, he starts saying "I am in love with... " before Turk tackles him off the stage because the Janitor decided to try and 'Carrie' him. Whatever is in the buckets shorts the sound system and thus the wedding is over but Perry can't stop hearing JD's announcement that he loves someone and gets all moody and Perry-like.
HOLY FUCK I LOVE THIS
As JD looked around the room at all the people surrounding him, realizing most of them had found love, had found the one person they were willing to fight for over all others, he grew inexplicably sad.
Well, really, it wasn’t inexplicable. It was the opposite. Explicable was the word his drunken brain thought up and he tittered into the microphone.
Perhaps getting wine drunk at the wedding reception of a hospital lawyer you never had all that much respect for wasn’t the best choice.
“I can feel the love in this room,” JD continued, earning a few smiles from the small crowd, both from the sentiment and his obvious drunkenness. In fact, it seemed only one person was not smiling and he was seated in the far back corner, nursing a scotch. “And not just from Ted and Gooch. From Turk and Carla and Elliot and Keith and…”
As JD prattled on, naming every couple his eyes fell upon - or at least the ones whose names he could remember - the Janitor’s most important prank of all was about to come to fruition. It was true, he’d taken his inspiration from the movie Carrie, which he’d only recently seen (and he most certainly did not tell Perry after what happened with The Sixth Sense).
Unbeknownst to JD, his best friend had spotted the Janitor’s plans and quickly excused himself, waving frantically to JD from the side of the stage. JD, blinded by alcohol and the bright lights, didn’t see Turk’s warnings. In fact, he had eyes only for Perry.
“And seeing all this love,” he continued, swaying ever so slightly, “has made me realize that life is too damn short to not share your feelings. I am in love with -”
Turk barreled across the stage and tackled JD just as the Janitor overturned the rigged bucket, the substance shorting out the sound system and covering up JD’s declaration of love.
Several hours later, once the wedding reception was well underway and most couples were out on the floor dancing, Carla left Turk, who’d been far more interested in doing interpretive dance with JD than dancing with her, and found Perry lingering by the now-closed bar. She pulled up a stool next to him and he offered her the half-empty bottle of scotch.
“No thanks,” Carla sighed, gesturing toward her baby bump. “Trying to cut back.”
“Bribed the bartender to leave me the bottle,” Perry muttered, glaring at the countertop.
“Why aren’t you out there with him?” Carla asked bluntly.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Perry grunted, taking another swig from the bottle. “But if it had something to do with a drunken idiot and a stupid wedding toast turned confession, I don’t care.”
“Yeah, you do,” Carla said, crossing her arms. “No one else might see it, but I sure do. The way you watch him when he doesn’t know it, the way you have to hide a smile when he’s laughing - and not because it’s funny but because you like his laugh - and the way you were hoping against all hope that he was going to tell everyone that he’s in love with /you/.”
When Perry didn’t answer, Carla continued. “Perry, don’t you think it’s time that you allowed yourself to be happy?”
Perry said nothing and eventually Carla tired of waiting for a response, so she made her way back to her husband, insisting on at least one slow dance. This left JD without an interpretive dance partner and he stumbled his way past Perry out into the parking lot. Driven by nothing more than a desire for fresh air, or at least that’s what he convinced himself of, Perry followed a short time later, only to find the younger doctor openly weeping as he leaned against the side of the building, his head ducked and his arms wrapped around himself.
Perry cleared his throat to announce his presence, but his heart constricted at the way JD flinched. He quickly wiped at his cheeks and blinked his eyes. “Hey, I was just getting some fresh air,” JD said in an attempt at nonchalance.
“Sure didn’t look that way,” Perry said, though he wasn’t sure why he wasn’t just doing JD a favor and pretending he hadn’t seen the waterworks.
JD shrugged. “It’s the wine,” he explained. “Gives me the blues… Weddings do too, I guess.”
Perry hummed in response, leaning against the wall beside JD. “That was quite the speech you gave back there,” he said casually.
“All ad-libbed if you can believe it,” JD mumbled. They were nearing dangerous territory now and he had to be on his guard, but the alcohol was making it difficult.
“Sounded like you were about to make a pretty big confession,” Perry continued, not entirely certain why he was still pressing the issue.
“Well, I wasn’t,” JD said a little too quickly. “And I didn’t. So it doesn’t matter.”
“Why do you say that? Afraid the object of your affection might not return the sentiment?”
JD shook his head. “There’s no way he ever would. She. I meant she. No way /she/ would.”
Perry swallowed, looking down at his feet for a moment. It was better to do this now when he might not remember it the next morning. “Newbie,” he breathed, turning his head and finding JD staring right back at him. “I think he just might.”
JD’s eyes searched Perry’s for any signs of joking or misunderstanding. He found none. “I know I’m drunk, but I still know what I want,” he said bravely. “And it’s not this. I - I want to remember this - us - /you/. So if you… if you remember this tomorrow, you know where to find me. If not… well, then I guess it wasn’t meant to be.”
With that, JD went back into the reception hall, leaving Perry feeling oddly empty.
The next day had both of them feeling as though they’d been hit by a freight train. It took Perry a shower, some Tylenol, and a vat of coffee to feel human again - and to remember just what had transpired the night before. He had half a mind just to pretend it was a drunken dream, but Carla’s voice kept echoing in his head. It was time for him to be happy.
He arrived at JD’s apartment just after noon and hammered on the door. He heard a groan from inside the apartment and shuffling feet and eventually, he was face to face with JD. And he went speechless.
JD blinked at Perry, obviously still quite hungover, but upright at the very least. He looked at Perry expectantly, simply waiting for him to speak.
“I remember,” Perry finally managed, his throat feeling quite dry and his heart pounding. “I remember what you said and what you were/going/ to say. So I - I’m here. If you want me.”
JD’s breath caught in his throat. “I - I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said weakly, backing into his apartment.
“Don’t you pull that, not now,” Perry said, stepping forward through the doorway. He closed the door behind him. “Not now that I’m being fucking /honest/ with you.”
“How do I know this isn’t a joke?” JD asked, and the sheer possibility that Perry would have once done this just to pull JD’s leg stabbed through him.
“Because you and I - we’ve done the whole song and dance thing for years. And quite frankly I’m sick of it. I’m here now and you can take me or leave me, but this is the only chance you’re getting. I’m not vulnerable with people, Newbie, you know that. If you’re not interested, you had better tell me now because I did not waste eight years of loving you just to –”
JD silenced Perry with a kiss. A kiss that lingered on and on and grew in confidence and passion. Perry’s hands flew to JD’s face, the back of his neck, keeping him close. The kiss was rather wet and JD realized absently that he was crying. Perry couldn’t bring himself to care.

Another JD/Cox Drabble
@pcrrycox And another one.
“So, Dr. Cox, are you coming to our New Years party at the bar tonight?” Carla asked. Dr. cox flicked his eyes up to look at her for a second before going back to the papers he had on the counter in front of him.
“Oh yeah, getting drunk with a bunch of people I can't stand sounds like so much fun I could almost skip it and just have a vomiting raging headache right now,” he said distractedly.
“Are you sure? Everyone is gonna be there... I mean, Me and Turk, Elliot, and the Janitor said he might come, and JD is bringing some guy he met a few days ago-”
“Say what now?” Dr. Cox, suddenly undivided in his attention, looked up at Carla.
“What?”
“Carol is bringing a date?” Carla blinked, and held back a knowing smirk.
“Yeah, some guy he met at a coffee shop or something. I don't remember the details.” Dr. cox frowned and shrugged.
“I... suppose it wouldn't kill me to make an appearance,” Dr. Cox said finally.
“Excellent! Festivities start at 10 and go on until three or more people pass out,” Carla said happily.
~*~*~*~
Dr. Cox slinked into the bar at about 10:30, figuring that JD would already be there with his new creepy boy toy. But was surprised to find that the only person there were Carla and the Janitor.
Dr. Cox sat down at the bar and ordered a scotch.
“So, where's everyone else?” He asked Carla casually as she came and sat next to him. Carla politely kept the knowing smirk off her face.
“JD said he'd be here any minute when he called because he was late. Said his new boy was more girly than he was and actually needed more time than he predicted to finish getting ready,” Carla giggled, she was already on her way towards tipsy with 2 ½ beers in her. “Turk only got off 15 minutes ago, so he's at home getting out of his scrubs I'd imagine. And Elliot is god knows where.”
Just as Carla finished talking the rest of the gang started trickling in. Turk first, and then Elliot... and then finally JD and his date. Dr. Cox growled as he saw who JD was with. Some young, sinfully attractive, ebony haired boy. He downed his scotch and ordered another one, already wishing he hadn't come.
~*~*~*~
When it was about 15 minutes to midnight the scene was looking very odd at some ends and very dangerous at others. Aside from Dr. Cox the entire crew were on the dance floor. Elliot, strangely enough, was cozying up to the Janitor. Carla and Turk were looking nearly illegal. And JD had gathered a small group of men around him and was dirty dancing like nobodies business against every single one of them. And the aforementioned Dr. Cox.... was less than three sheets to the wind and wavering on his stool while looking intently at the group JD was it.
10 minutes to midnight, Dr. Cox decided he'd had enough of this particular brand of torture. He slammed his empty scotch glass down on the counter and growled. He got drunkenly to his feet, propping himself up on the barstool a moment before making his way angrily through the crowd. When he finally reached his destination (JD) he turned in a circle, glaring with intense menace at anyone who attempted to get in his personal space. Finally, as if reaching a decision, he found the man that JD had come with in the semi circle and sucker punched him right in the face.
Realizing what he'd done, Dr. Cox flushed in embarrassment... Or perhaps it was just the alcohol pumping through his veins.
“I'm... I'm leaving,” he announced.
“Quick, JD you've got to distract him, no way can he drive in that condition,” Carla said to JS quietly as Dr. Cox made his way to the door. JD rolled his eyes in a combination of 'no duh' and 'it figures'. But made his way to distract Dr. Cox none the less.
5 minutes to midnight, both Dr. Cox and JD were still on the dance floor when a delightfully suggestive song came on the stereo system. The perfect distraction.
“Dr. Cox....” JD said, catching Dr. Cox's attention with just an urgent enough voice. When Dr. Cox turned around JD was on him instantly, rubbing up against him in one of the most suggestive looking booty dances anyone in the immediate vicinity had seen in a while.
Dr. Cox made a choking sound and staggered a bit as JD danced in suggestive bump n' grind (and various other) movements around him. He stumbled backwards and, thankfully, landed on a wall. Allowing the wall to hold him up, he focused what he could of his senses on JD. He just barely noticed JD gently slipping the car keys out of his pocket. He glared, suddenly enraged as he realized why JD was dancing with him at all.
“You! Y-You, I can't stand it anymore!!” Dr. Cox shoved JD away. JD stumbled backwards, looking a bit startled, but not very scared. “You come in every day, new boy on your arm just fawning over you like yer a, yer a – Oh I don't even know!!” Dr. Cox frantically rubbed his hands through his hair. “Damnit Newbie do you notice me at ALL, exc-exc-besides when yer tryin' to protect me from myself?!” Dr. Cox gestured at the keys JD was holding. Dr. Cox leaned forward and off the wall. “I don't.... mean anything to you...”
Dr. Cox took a step and started to fall forward. JD caught him in an embrace and was able to hold him up. Dr. Cox, stunned, wrapped his arms around JD and buried his face in JD's neck. He inhales and sighed deeply.
Just moments to midnight...
The couples in the crowd were collecting themselves for the New Years kiss. Dr. Cox lifted his head and looked into JD's eyes.
“JD....” Dr. Cox slurred. JD looked at him intensely, both of their hearts were racing.
“Y-Yes Dr. Cox?” JD asked.
“I... JD I...” Dr. Cox said hurriedly as the one minute counter came up on a TV screen.
“Yes?” JD insisted, hoping that this was the confession he'd been pining for.
“I'm going to vomit,” Dr. Cox said in a strained voice. He pushed his way out the door, JD following quickly behind.
~*~*~*~
And so... as the count down reached one, Turk and Carla kissed romantically, Elliot and the Janitor shared a surprising and wonderfully intense first kiss.... And JD was stroking Dr. Cox's temples as he threw up in the parking lot.
JD sighed, smiling ambiguously. One one hand, Dr. Cox's almost confession had made him very happy... on the other, he'd wished very much that Dr. Cox hadn't needed to be quite so drunk to own up to what he felt.
They still had a ways to go.

19 TV Show Endings That Properly Annoyed The Fuck Out Of People
If you don’t like spoilers, just a warning: There are many.
How I Met Your Mother
“I know what happens in the final episode but I still refuse to actually watch it. I hated that we spent a whole season on Barney and Robin’s wedding only for them to get divorced. They should have stayed together.” – shannybecca
“You waited for nine years to find out who the mother is just for her to die and for him to end up with Robin again. Absolute bullshit.” – temia423e5b2bb
“The show spent multiple seasons exposing how Ted and Robin just didn’t work, and that she never truly loved him in the way he needed to be loved. Why beat the dead horse and then decide hey, never mind, actually let’s resurrect this horse into a terrifying zombie horse that NOBODY asked for?” – michaelc46ae06697
CBS / 20th Century Fox
Angel
“To this day I’m so bitter that they canceled the show in the middle of Season 5. It made it practically impossible for the writers to wrap up all loose ends and give us a satisfying conclusion. It deserved better. Especially given that Season 5 was hands down the best season.” – Aniela, Facebook
“The last season of Angel was such a mess. I honestly don’t get people who say it’s overall such a better show than Buffy.” – Samantha, Facebook
The WB / 20th Television
Dexter
“The show steadily lost quality after Season 4, but the very last episode was soooooooo bad. I was hoping that at least it would end with some semblance of coherence, but it was everything it was never supposed to be. There have been multiple fan-made endings that are 1,000% better than what we got.” – mandelam
“The end of Dexter was an abomination. Sure, let’s dump Deb’s body into the ocean, sail off into a hurricane, and then somehow emerge later on as a lumberjack…all after abandoning your son to live with your murderous girlfriend. Cool.” – jessr4282695d6
“I don’t know one person who saw it who liked it. They just undid eight seasons of character development in one episode.” – ryana4764f34c6
Showtime / CBS Television
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
“Those last four words and then just a black screen. I did not wait all those years to go back to Stars Hollow just to have a hole in my heart.” – amandawilsonc
“How in the world could they not let Jess and Rory end up together? And after all those years still leave us with a sentence that could mean so many things for the character’s life? Should’ve just left it the way it was.” – puckvandenb
Saeed Adyani/Netflix
Pretty Little Liars
“We waited seven seasons for them to reveal the person behind everything was a character that we’d never even met!” – eviem48fbd8f63
“Spencer has a secret evil British twin who was involved with the awful British doctor who used to be engaged to her adopted sister? And the twin decided to ruin the lives of her and her friends using a ridiculously complicated board game that blew out poisonous gas? It was complete nonsense.” – cazboline
“Pretty. Little. Liars. What. The. Shit.” – preetv1
Freeform / Warner Bros. TV
Gossip Girl
“Dan as ‘Gossip Girl’ makes no sense – they try to explain it but there are so many plot holes. How did Dan end up with Serena when he was literally the worst?! And what happened to all of their college degrees? Did anyone graduate? Did anyone do anything meaningful with their lives other than be rich and get married?” – cazboline
Warner Bros / The CW
Hemlock Grove
“Without a doubt, Hemlock Grove. The first season was so good, and I stuck by through the weird second season. The whole third season was a total clusterfuck and the ending was so out of character.” – rnharris21
“I get that it was unexpectedly closed, but the writers didn’t even try to wrap things up in a logical way. They were like: ‘OK, we’ll just kill everyone.'” – Marie, Facebook
Christos Kalohoridis / Netflix
Girls
“They took us to places so deep and on crazy journeys. To have Hannah and the girls just left like that was so blah.” – k8eloe
“I loved this show and in the beginning, I felt such a connection to Hannah. But as the series went on, instead of growing and learning from her experiences, she became more and more self-involved, and everything still worked out for her.
“It’s just frustrating how a character can make awful choices and treat her friends horribly, but still have people on her side.” – ryanc321
HBO
Scrubs
“The end of Season 8 ended perfectly with JD and Elliot, tied up all loose ends, but then Season 9 happened, which not only revolved around a completely different set of characters at a different hospital, but ended up being a disaster that I didn’t even bother to finish watching.
“It just made me mad that they ruined a perfectly good ending to try to squeeze out more money from the show.” – autumnr490c351ce
ABC / Disney–ABC Television / Via scrubs.wikia.com
Mad Men
“I don’t think it deserved an open ending. I wanted everything to be tied up and make sense. Don Draper just became a completely different person and all of a sudden found happiness and peace? No!” – lauraelizabethx
AMC / Lionsgate Television
Desperate Housewives
“For the women to all move away and never speak to each other again? After everything they went through and the years of friendship? It was just so lazy. The writers couldn’t be bothered to give any character a proper ending.” – cazboline
“It was one of the best shows and then, after all they went through together, it ends with the ladies never seeing each other ever again. And the weird ghost montage…and the cliffhanger secret box? Nope.” – erinc4190a01bd
ABC / Disney–ABC Television
In the Flesh
“Is she alive or dead? We will never know and it’s driving me crazy!” – katherine1244
Des Willie / BBC / BBC Three
Merlin
“I love that show with all my heart but the ending was just too damn heartbreaking and frustrating. Arthur only found about Merlin’s magic when he was basically on his death bed, Gwaine died, Morgana died, Mordred died, Gwen was left a widow, not to mention the weird modern-day element at the end.” – Hannah, Facebook
“I like to pretend the last episode doesn’t exist. It was such a great show that just felt really rushed at the end.” – Kathleen, Facebook
BBC / FremantleMedia
Chuck
“One of the main characters loses her memory and never gets it back. Just ends with her forgetting all about what happened over the last five years. Never gets to say goodbye.” – mpudelka14
“After five seasons and investing so heavily in Chuck and Sarah’s relationship, a cliffhanger?! REALLY, GUYS?! I need to know if she remembers.” – annad460a4a7b2
NBC / Warner Bros
The Mindy Project
“It felt so rushed and just very messy. It didn’t compare to the previous seasons at all. The finale didn’t feel like a finale.
“I just didn’t feel like some of my favourite characters on television were given a proper send-off.” – Tayla, Facebook
Hulu / NBCUniversal
Quantum Leap
“Love the show, and after five amazeball seasons, it was such a let down to learn that Sam never made it home.” – Doreen, Facebook
NBC / NBCUniversal Television
Major Crimes
“In the final season the showrunners decided to have a tantrum because the show had been cancelled. The main character was killed mid-season and then an entire legacy was erased. At the end, a murder was committed and covered up. The takeaway? Follow the rules and be successful, and you will die a terrible untimely death and be forgotten. If you break all the rules, whine, and do everything selfishly you will get away with murder.” – Jen, Facebook
Art Streiber / TNT / Warner Bros Television
Friends
“As a kid I rooted for Ross and Rachel, but growing up I realised she should have stayed on the plane. It was a phenomenal job experience to be in Paris, one that would have helped her career skyrocket, not to mention how toxic their relationship was.” – roo95
“The only good things that came were Monica and Chandler getting their kids.” – viviand413fc924f
NBC / Warner Bros. Television
And finally, people are very split about Lost
“It was terrible. They didn’t explain of the plot lines. They were dead?! And the last scene in the church. And the Man called Jacob who guards the light. The smoke monster who was actually his brother. I’m so confused.” – sarlyn887
“The ending of Lost only pissed off the people that didn’t actually understand Lost.” – Bryant, Facebook
Bad Robot / ABC
