I seek revenge on Rachel Ray and the Food Networks. Can't you make her eyes fall out or something? Tits fall off?

Thinking about ReligionKlok today and remembered how ready Toki was to form a pit. Did he go to metal shows when he was still in Norway? During the EarlyKlok era? Does he go to shows regularly NOW?
If I get knocked on my ass in the pit, is there a chance that I'm getting pulled up by Toki Wartooth?

I love the HC that Murderface had a country music career before going into metal. Specifically christian, country, or bluegrass.
In "Religionklok," he doesn't diss the Christian rock concert they go to, while Pickles plugs his ears because that's all he used to hear as a child. So, I like to think that Murderface does have a fondness for other genres outside of Metal.
In "Dethfam," Stella tells Murderface he's going to heaven for buying Thunderbolt a new wheelchair, which Murderface hates. Stella has no issue asking William to spend his money on the family. Now, we also know that Murderface only graduated high school because he threatened the principal. All he did was smoke dope, drink, and play bass. Why would Stella be OK with thus?
Because Murderface was working and contributing to the finances of the house. I like to think that Murderface and Stella had a deal when he was in high school. He can fuck off and do poorly in high school as long as he was contributing to the bills of the house. Which he would be playing bass at local gigs. His grandfather had connections to bluegrass players and had them use William in his performances as their bass player.
William would dress up, go on stage with a bunch of old people, play bass, get paid, then fuck off. But he did gain experience from this and soon found that he liked playing in bands and that the sounds he was making with the group was nice. It's a nostalgic type of feeling. And when he wasn't playing bluegrass, his grandmother got him a gig at a local country tavern or bar as their on-call bass player. He also found that he liked it there as well because people would buy him drinks and he could get a little more snazzier than in bluegrass.
However, that also means that Murderface had to play the bass at church. There's a lot of Bass (voice) singers in singing groups in church, especially in the south, as special guests. Murderface had to work in the church as part of her deal. He didn't get paid. He hated being there early and late. But, he did get free food from the pastor as he would take his musicians out to lunch/dinner frequently. (If you're from the south and have church on Sundays, lots of folks have dinner at lunch time then eat left overs for actual dinner time.)
He would get all dressed up and look presentable. It's not his favorite time of his life, but he was good at it, and it gave him the confidence and qualifications for going into other bands later in his life. I think, though he is an angry man, he can't make himself angry about those times, even church. He enjoyed playing bass and they all gave him the opportunity to play. And people liked hearing him play, it's the first time he ever really got praise. Whether it be from an older woman at the nursing home telling him he's just as good at the big wigs from the 40s, a sloshed out burly man who's handing him shot after shot for being one hell of a bass player, or his pastor for always appreciating Murderface and giving him grace and patience when no one else would.
I also HC that Murderface had a good relationship with his pastor because of his pastors constant perseverance toward being his confidant and friend. (I know not every pastor is like this, but I grew up with a good pastor who cared about us, so Murderface is getting him.)
Of course, that part of him is dead and buried, and Murderface would never tell the band that he was in Christian, country, or bluegrass. But he had his fondness.

ok but do you guys think the curse of dethklok is like... what? something that's been there during the boys' entire lives? like, ever since they were young? or is it something they started experiencing once they Became dethklok? is the curse the prophecy?? what exactly was the prophecy??? help????
also (and i'm sorry if i'm asking questions that aotd already answered): do you guys think dethklok have powers themselves? or is it not theirs and instead it's just something that the Doomstar lends them and thus only happens on specific times? (example: when they kill the metal masked assassin and when they banish salacia)
me personally i love the idea of dethklok being pretty much Destined to be together, therefore they all have little attrocities happen to them throughout their lives but then it just makes sense when they become a band and realize that the other guys Also were surrounded by tragedy. like "oh, maybe i wasn't cursed bc these guys also have had horrible shit happen to them!" kinda thing. but that's just me.
and yeah i also gotta admit that i personally love the idea of dethklok having powers themselves and not as something lend by the doomstar. idk, i really enjoy the premise of a bunch of stupid, messed up men having godlike power and: having no idea of what to do with them. better yet, not even being Aware of them. like Murderface miraculosly surviving a horrible accident during religionklok, Pickles being straight up inmune to substances that would pretty much kill anyone else, etc. it's cute that in aotd's ending dethklok and the fans all share the power but i still rather think that it is the band that is special. the band is its own deity.dand they all together are a god or something at least close to one.

Here's a funny parallel that I've thought of for a long time with Religionklok (S01E15) and Dethkids (S01E16), two episodes that are right next to each other.

Religionklok: On the basis that Murderface is acting weird, Toki suggests to kick him out of the band. Skwisgaar goes farther and proposes to kill him.

Dethkids: On the basis that Toki is acting weird, Nathan wonders if they should kick Toki out of the band. Pickles instead suggests an elaborate plan to kill Toki. Skwisgaar not only rejects the idea, but looks quite sad about the prospect.
Even funnier is that Toki's behavior in Dethkids (covering himself with spikes & blood and wielding a flamethrower) was way more creepy and dangerous than Murderface, what, licking a window and trying to find faith? Skwisgaar your bias is showing pls...

the thing about season 4 of metalocalypse that i don't get is the band acting like nathan's never apologized before. in season 1 he apologizes multiple times. like in religionklok he says sorry to murderface for getting into an accident that almost kills him and in girlfriendklok he apologizes to the whole band for dating that girl (AND in girlfriendklok he even hugs pickles after so its not like he did it for the first time in season 4). does anyone know why they decided to make it like nathan is incapable of saying "sorry" in season 4 ?

toki was fully participating in the church of satan thing in religionklok, you can see him joining in on the "hail satan" choruses. between runke's paganism and behemoth being his favourite band he's simply immune to this form of cringe

oh god also when Murderface falls off the dethbike in Religionklok and just. scrapes his face off
i know Metalocalypse forces you to get accustomed to extreme gore pretty quickly (if you aren’t already), but are there any scenes that are still difficult for you guys to watch?
for me it’s the final scene in Dethfashion, hands down. it’s a great episode but… skin. it skeeves me out just thinking about it lol

Every time I think I'm making Skwisgaar too obsessed with Toki, I remember "Performanceklok" and "Dethfam" and "Religionklok" and "Dethclown" and "Dethrace" and "Dethlessons" and "Dethkids" and "Dethrecord" and "Dethzazz" and "Diversityklok" and "Prankklok" and "Bookklok" and "Dethcamp" and "Doomstar Requirm" and "Army of the Doomstar".
And then I'm like...I'm not making him obsessed ENOUGH!
