I have the fabric to make skwisgaar & nathan for sure & possibly enough fabric leftover for pickles

but I don’t think I have any for murderface or toki yet ( if I do I’ll repudiate this but for now they’re not on the list. )

Idk if anyone's caught this or not but Skwisgaar has a problem with people (Toki) cutting him off while he's speaking and I find it so funny. Because I don't think he does it to anyone else but I can think of one incident where Skwisgaar scolds Toki for cutting him off, one incident where Skwisgaar "raises" his voice to continue speaking while Toki is trying to say something, and one time for apologizing for cutting Toki off.

Once in, "Metalocalypse Extras - Band Interview - Education", when Skwisgaar is answering the question but Toki keeps wanting to say something while Skwisgaar is still speaking. "S & T: "*overlapping conversation*" T: "I'd like to say something!" S: "I want to - Let me finish my thought! You don't interrupt people! Huh?")

Once in, "Dethklok Naming Band", (at 21:45 but honestly, watch the whole thing it's so fucking funny) when Toki tells the band that he studied band names before coming in the closet, Skwisgaar (+ others) contribute that to "cheating". Toki defends himself that studying is not cheating but the group ends up deciding that it is "unethical" and "cheating" (even though Nathan does try to defend Toki from cheating, he answers with a hard "No!" when Skwisgaar asks Nathan if he did that before coming in.) Skwisgaar talks down to Toki that it is cheating, getting louder to cut Toki off while he is still speaking. (S: "That's what I'm tellings you Tokis and you now listens to me." Dethklok: *talking* S: "It ams the questions of ethics, Toki. It ams the questions of ethics." T: "It's not a questions of ethics!" S: "And somes - ANDS - ANDS SOMES of us gots dems and somes of us does not." T: "DATS -" S: "Dats all! Dats all!" T: "Oh-" S: "I'ms finished" T: "Um-" S: "I'ms dones. Yous says whats you goings to says now." T: "What's about Nirvana? Nirvana?" S: "I've spoken my tea (?)")

Once in, "Birthdayface", when Toki and Skwisgaar are talking at Murderface's birthday party about it being a "sausage festival" and Skwisgaar cuts Toki off while talking, then apologizes to him afterwards. (S: "This is a complete and total, you know, sausage festival." T: "I love sausage festival. Like in Vienna." S: "No, Toki, that was a sausage festival." T: "That was good." S: "Yeah. with Vienna pork sauce... No, that means there no good-looking ladies to put you-know-what into side of them." T: "The sausage?" S: "Yeah. Anyway, what were you talking about, like, a second ago? I'm sorry I cut you off." T: "Oh, I got to make something for Murderface.") I don't actually think Skwisgaar cuts Toki off while having this conversation because it is pretty linear, however, it's probably alluding to whatever they were talking about before the scene started, like before Skwisgaar mentions it's a sausage festival.

It's really late right now so I can't think of any other times this happens (there are probably other times, I'm just tired.) but Skwisgaar really does not like it when he is cut off while speaking, and does not like doing it to others.

Sidenote: this could just be because Skwisgaar and Toki are voiced by two different people instead of the same person (Brendon), so it's just their way of communicating and having fun with the characters.

Hug/touch starved headcanons

sorry these might get a little sad

Nathan received plenty of hugs from his mom during his childhood. Even now as an adult she'll often try to go in for a hug. Nathan only accepts if none of the guys are around to see. His dad strikes me as the kind of guy who can't bring himself to show physical affection due to toxic masculinity, but I figure he did hug him once or twice when Nathan was a lil kid.

Pickles was never hugged by his parents, and only receives manipulative and uncomfortable hugs from Seth whenever he's gonna ask for money or shit. He only felt the warmth of an authentic hug for the first time in his life from one of his bandmates during his S'n'B days, and though it was fueled by a mutual drug-induced haze, it was still as authentic as it got. He only felt that kind of warmth and honesty again while hugging Nathan during Roy's funeral.

Skwisgaar very rarely received hugs from his mom as a kid, and probably even began to decline them after he found her with those men. He does get hugs and cuddles from his neverending amount of groupies, but none of them are given out of genuine love and connection.

Murderface was only ever held tenderly by his mom a couple of times before his dad murdered her. After that, his grandparents never hugged him. The most genuine physical connection he's had was when he and Skwisgaar cuddled in bed with Pickles while Toki was at camp.

Toki was never hugged by either of his parents. Not once. When he joined Dethklok he did try to hug the guys once, but none of them ever hugged him back (if they even let him get that close to begin with). Any hugs he gets from groupies he does appreciate, but it's a similar scenario to Skwisgaar's. They're not genuine affection hugs.

We don't know a lot about Charles' canon family other than the "my father had strong hands" line, which could mean plenty of different things. If we go with the simplest possible explanation of him growing up in a relatively normal family, my guess is he got a relatively normal amount of hugs as a kid, and even in college he likely had close friends and partners who gave him actual hugs. He gets a lot less hugs since starting to work for Dethklok, however. Pickles was the first of the boys to ever give him a hug (even if it was an awkward drunken hug during their post-Melmord partying). Toki was the second one, when he found them after they'd run away.

Nathan:

-when he’s obsessed he is OBSESSED

-he will do anything you want him do, genuinely

-being Nathan’s partner is hard work, not just because he’s high maintenance, but because he’s the lead singer of dethklok, everyone in the world knows who he is

-if anyone hurts you? a klokiteer or himself will deal with it

-you will know when he kills someone for you , he tried to hide it but he’s not very good at it

-“what happened to ____?”

-“what-?- i don’t know who you’re talking about- i never met anyone with that name- hey- wanna go have like- sex or something??” he would desperately try to change the topic, he’s visibly nervous, a terrible liar

-you drop it but note the way he reacted

-next time it happens he tries to distract you by pampering you, would even go as far as to eat you out / give you head

-when you finally fully realize what’s up and see it happen for yourself, you aren’t freaked out, i mean, thousands of people die every time they preform a concert

-tbh you find it really sweet, especially since most people he’s killing are total dildos

-he stills prefers to not do it in front of you , but occasionally if they did something to really fuck you up he’ll try to make you feel better by letting you watch

-would definitely write a song about it, i mean it’s super brutal how could he not

Pickles:

-he probably doesn’t even know he’s doing it at first because he’s so shitfaced all the time

-he also doesn’t realize you KNOW and that you’ve known since the beginning, the first time he killed someone for you, he accidentally did it in front of your face

-he was too shitfaced to remember

-you didn’t say anything at first because you always liked him, you thought it was sweet in a brutal way, and the guy deserved it he was a creep

-you didn’t see the next few times, but he started acting a bit differently around you, a little more suspicious and like he’s hiding something

-he ends up confessing it to you in a drunken state, but he sobers up pretty quickly once he realizes what he said

-if you make him promise to not hurt anyone who didn’t absolutely deserve it, he will just be so grateful you’re not angry at him

-definitely more affectionate with you afterwards

-strengthens your relationship tbh

Toki:

-dude he would be so nervous the entire time about you finding out

-would never do it himself , always has a klokiteer do it

-wouldn’t tell you or hint at it

-he would only kill people that were pieces of shit dildos, he would send the rest to the dethklok prison

-he confesses everything out of guilt, he confesses the way he enjoyed beating the shit out of people who deserved it, especially after they did something to you or got too close to you

-you comfort him because he didn’t do anything inherently morally wrong, and he’s overjoyed and relieved

-he would probably hug you for a long time, like a cuddle, with a few kisses

-you make him promise to not do it again, not only for your sake, but for his too

-he never leaves your side after that

Skwisgaar:

-i’m honestly so 50/50 abt him

-i feel like he wouldn’t try to hide it, but it’s just hidden somehow

-he doesn’t act any different, he acts extremely casual, you don’t notice any difference in his behavior around you, maybe a little more touchy but you assumed it was just you growing closer

-definitely holds your lower back in an over protective kinda way

-would very casually mention it in conversation like “oh ja , ams killst thats guys”

-you would have to do a double take and like interrogate him , he would admit everything but only to you

-he doesn’t want the others to think he’s like super gay or anything for killing these people for you

-they do not care but he’s self conscious

-would move on like nothing happened and tbh so did you, it wasn’t bothersome so why worry?

William:

-he probably tells you to be honest

-he’s proud of it

-wants you to be proud of him too

So for a bit of context, i think nathan would make the best suzy bannion, because of his main character role in the show and also his dynamics with other side characters i’ve decided to include in the AU (Pickles as Sara because she’s veryyy close to Suzy ) .. i originally considered toki as Suzy because i just love him a lot and want an excuse to play favorites ! but i decided to give him the role of patricia instead :< it’s saddening but more accurate to his character i think. i’ll post more info about the AU and art pretty soon so stay tuned! also i’m not really used to tumblr functions coz i’m from instagram mainly. i’m happy that my image quality isn’t being completely butchered, that’s a breath of fresh air lol TTTT-T

BONUS DRAWINGS FROM THE MAKINA PROLOGUE

Here’s all the extra little things I made that I’m very proud of. ^0^

This is a textless version of the final panel. You can finally see how freakishly long Makina’s tongue is lol. Also Nathan is trying not to smile here. In my mind this is a photo Makina would have on their vanity table.

Here we have Makina and Young Nathan, this took me a while because I this was my first time doing Nathan’s side profile as well as Makina’s.

This sketch was originally going to be the final panel instead of the group photo. Makina was going to have the trophy in her hand, lifting it like an Oscar or a Grammy.

Speaking of the trophy, here’s a full sketch of that! Doom-opolis was partially inspired by Lala-palooza and Eurovision song competition. It’s an outdoor festival that’s televised / live streamed everywhere. It’s a big international event, I mean it’s Dethklok of course it’s going to be big. X3

Finally this is Makina’s backpack. Of course she’s a big Dethklok fan, so she has the button on her bag. The cat patch is a tiny nod to my Jojo’s work but also, a separate 3 eye’d demon cat character called “NekoDevi”. It’s the sort of a Metalocalypse spin on a “Sanrio” type of mascot, with elements of cute horror like Skelanimals, Gloomy Bear, and Maromi from Paranoia Agent.
