Jungkook has always had the theory that you have a friendship leaderboard. 

Not like you’ve ever admitted to it out loud, not even hinted to it at any given point on the ten plus years you’ve known your group of friends. 

He has no proof of it either, but he trusts his gut and his gut tells him that he’s never been number one on said leaderboard. 

Damn Namjoon, he’s like one of those record breaking artists that never seems to leave the top of the charts. 

Right now, Jungkook’s in a solid third place and only because Yoongi just came back from the vacations the hospital had forced him to take. 

‘‘So, how was the beach?’’ 

Yoongi looks at Jungkook with an unreadable expression, he’s asking himself in what tone he should respond to his younger friend. 

Sarcastic? Passive? Neutral?

‘‘I was in the Bahamas,’’ Yoongi informs him ‘‘refer to it as the Bahamas and not as if I travelled two hours to the nearest beach.’’ 

Patronizing it is. 

The pediatrician smiles anyway ‘‘It’s good to have you back!’’ and the cardiothoracic surgeon huffs, shaking his head slightly. 

Jungkook still hasn’t figured out how is it that you measure the positions in the leaderboard, but he knows that gifts are the way to your heart. He can tell because you had a big smile on your face when you looked at the key chain Yoongi brought you from the caribbean. 

Jungkook could’ve gotten you one from the gas station and told you he brought it from somewhere exotic and you would’ve bought it. 

Alas, Jungkook is slow and that’s why he’s in third place. 

Taehyung is busy on his phone to notice his friend deep in thought, Yoonah is sending him pictures of the photoshoot she had just done and his attention is reserved for his girlfriend. 

His neurosurgeon friend has always been in fifth place, doesn’t even care that he’s at the bottom of the board. Jungkook can’t blame you either, Taehyung is an okay friend at best. 

The pediatrician clears his throat, trying to get his friend’s attention, but to no avail. He does it louder this time and Taehyung only shifts to the side, thinking Jungkook wanted more space in the elevator. 

Jungkook peeks into his friend’s screen, only to notice the way Taehyung quickly types an ‘you’re slaying baby!!!’ and chuckles at the way the older friend tries to sound hip and cool for Yoonah.

Taehyung glares at him with a side eye and shoves his phone into his pocket ‘‘What do you want?’’ he asks.

Jungkook smiles, satisfied with getting attention again ‘‘Are we still going out for BBQ tonight?’’ 

‘‘No,’’ Taehyung replies, eyes coming to stare at the elevator’s floor indicator slowly coming closer to the floor he was headed towards ‘‘Y/N cancelled, she has plans.’’

Jungkook’s brows furrow at the news. He was not aware. 

‘‘Y/N cancelled?’’ he asks and Taehyung nods ‘‘When? She didn’t say anything on the group chat.’’ 

The group chat was the only way of communication the group of friends had nowadays. Even though you all worked on the same hospital, had similar shifts, it was hard to get everyone on the same room at the same time. 

Jungkook wonders if he had missed your message on the group chat where you explain why you’re cancelling on going out that night, because he had planned the outing earlier on the week and everyone─even Yoongi who was still at the Bahamas by then─had agreed on the outing. 

But Jungkook never misses your texts, especially the ones you send at the groupchat because you seem to always answer over there instead of the private conversations. 

He is still waiting for you to answer his text where he wrote an analysis over why Sharpay isn’t the villain in High School Musical. 

And after a quick once-over at the group chat, he’s asking Taehyung once again when did you say you’d cancel for tonight. 

‘‘She told me,’’ he replies nonchalantly and Jungkook’s eyes are peeled open ‘‘she’s going on a date tonight.’’

First of all, how could a fifth placer get these sort of news over a third placer?

And second, what the fuck? You’re going on a date? With who? And when did this happen? And where are you going? Is this date more important than going out for BBQ with your friends? Why didn’t you tell him? Why─?

‘‘I can tell your brain’s malfunctioning right now,’’ Taehyung teases ‘‘sadly I am all booked up for the month.’’ 

The elevator dings and the doors open, making the neurosurgeon step out and head to his consultation office. 

Jungkook’s already forgotten where he’s supposed to be right now.

You don’t expect to see him when you step out of your office, you thought he would’ve left the hospital by now. 

‘‘Oh!’’ you exclaim with surprise ‘‘What are you─’’

‘‘Did I fall a position on the leaderboard? Be honest.’’ Jungkook interjects and you’re rolling your eyes, the damn leaderboard talk again. 

You sigh, shaking your head slightly ‘‘Jungkook, for the upteenth time, I have no leaderboard,’’ you say slowly ‘‘I don’t measure my friendships.’’ 

He’s always been like this. The leaderboard he had made up trailed all the way back to Med School, you thought that by this point he would’ve forgotten about it. 

But it’s Jungkook and he rarely lets things go. 

‘‘You do!’’ he argues ‘‘Taehyung is in fifth place, because, let’s be honest─he’s not that great.’’ The pediatrician continues ‘‘Then Jin is in fourth place because ever since he started doing celebrity surgeries he thinks he’s better than us or something.’’

‘‘Oh, please! Jin is the most humble─’’

Jungkook interrupts you ‘‘Third place has been iffy, but I’m pretty sure I’m there right now because Yoongi brought you a tacky keychain from the Bahamas and that’s why he’s in second place now.’’ 

You frown, because you don’t think the keychain’s tacky at all. Sure, it’s a basic tourist gift and you don’t expect anything less from Yoongi. 

‘‘And Namjoon’s always been in the top spot, but it’s alright because he’d be my first place too.’’

You sigh, eyes closed as you massage the side of your head ‘‘Are you done?’’ you ask and he hums, wondering if he missed anything else, but after covering all the bases, he nods. ‘‘Jungkook, there’s seriously no leaderboard, now why don’t you go home and rest? You need it.’’

You start to move and make your way down the hallway, there’s someone waiting for you on the basement parking and this discourse is only making you late.

‘‘Then why does Taehyung know about your date and not me?’’

Your legs come to a halt, turning around to face him again.

‘‘What? How do you─? How does─?’’ Your questions come out unfinished and Jungkook knows he’s caught you red handed. 

Normally he’d boast about being right and rub it in your face, but this time, he doesn’t feel good about it. If anything, he wishes he was wrong. 

Jungkook puts those thoughts aside, not wanting you to notice the slight hurt that’s on his face ‘‘You always tell me stuff, because I’m a second-third placer,’’ he explains ‘‘so just tell me, did Taehyung take my spot?’’.

You want to roll your eyes at your friend and tell him he’s being a big baby, but it does tug at your heartstrings seeing the look on his face. He’s disappointed that you didn’t share this news with him and you more than anyone know how much he hates being left out. 

He really is disappointed, but for other reasons. 

‘‘Okay, there are no places, alright?’’ you get closer to him and Jungkook nods ‘‘And I’m sorry, I was gonna tell you after to let you know how it went.’’ you assure and he’s forced to believe you ‘‘Now let’s go, it’s late and you need to sleep because you have a surgery scheduled early tomorrow.’’ the reminder comes with a smile and the corners of his mouth turn up at the action.

As you both make your way down, Jungkook clears his throat ‘‘So, uhm─are you driving over there?’’ he asks, trying to get you to spill more information about your date.

You shake your head ‘‘I didn’t bring my car today.’’ 

‘‘Oh, do you need a ride? I can take you.’’ he offers quickly and you giggle.

‘‘It’s fine, he’ll take me there.’’

Jungkook nods, eyes stuck on the ground and he doesn’t realize you’re both on the basement already. It doesn’t hit him until later the way you worded your answer.

‘‘He’s not picking you up?’’ he asks and you shake your head again ‘‘Wait─who’re you going on a date with?’’

It’s the first question Jungkook should’ve asked, but hadn’t because he didn’t want to seem nosy. 

You’re not able to answer because a car stops in front of you two and the passenger’s seat window lowers down, revealing OBGYN Park Jimin with a big smile on his face, directing it straight towards you. 

‘‘You ready?’’ he asks you, making you nod with a smile as well. 

Jungkook doesn’t hear the way you say goodbye to him and how you tell him to get a good night’s sleep in preparation for tomorrow morning. The only thing he hears is the way you giggle by a comment Jimin makes once you hop inside his car, taking up the free space next to him. 

The car leaves, leaving Jungkook standing alone in the basement parking as he looks at where the vehicle left. 

It’s not Taehyung or Yoongi snatching his spot from the leaderboard, but Park Jimin instead.

Roxy looks good when they come to meet you by your storage unit in Brazil. Grown up, you think, and determined. You sit on scrap metal and talk about your plans. You have several, for different scenarios, and you accept what Roxy wants to change about them. The phrase Are you sure you want to do this is uttered back and forth a couple of times, before you both understand that yes. You're sure.

The way you end up agreeing on is simple enough -- if it works, you end up with a dead Condesce, a conditionally immortal Roxy, and a destroyed spare body of yours. If it doesn't, you have a list of other plans you can resort to. Stakes are high, but you've thought this through.

It's worth it.

So, you and Roxy get to work. You have to program the drone to go back home to mommy -- step one of the plan is both to find out her whereabouts, and to start coaxing her back to the planet she's having rebuilt. It might take a while, so it'll give you both time to… well, to gather up your things and make arrangements like pet care in your absence and telling your respective friends what's going on, you guess. You're not looking forward to this part of your masterplan, but you barely have time to think about it.

Anything that has you accessing an imperial drone's software is still prone to give you flashbacks bad enough to make your mechanical hands shake, so it's good that you have Roxy by your side this time. Practiced as you might be, they are still way better at this than you. You give them pointers to where they’ll find the parts of the programming you need to hijack, just to speed up the whole process, then you leave them be and go do your own work.

Roxy laugh-scoffed at the way your notes concerning the drone looked. When you disassembled it, you made yourself a map so you could put it back together, but it doesn’t look like something anyone else could ever decipher. It works for you, though. Part for part, the heap of metal starts resembling the huge beasts that almost killed the both of you on numerous occasions again.

“You wanna look over this before I finish it off?” Roxy asks eventually.

“I’m sure you did great,” you say, but you want to look over it anyway. You don’t get shivers down your spine now that you’re a robot, but you feel the sense of cold and dread in the back of your mind, going over the very program that made your lives hell, that both saved you and killed Dirk. Roxy reaches for your hand, and you take it. You exchange another We’re really doing this, huh? look, but nobody says it out loud anymore. You say, “Looks good.”

You captchalogue the finished drone, then transportalize back to Roxy’s part of your home planet, and release it. It’ll find its way back to the Condesce, and then promptly self-destruct, leaving in its wake only a message to goad her back to Earth. Once she’s made it back here, you’ll move on to the next part of the plan.

Until then, for now, you will wait.

Roxy hugs you before they disappear back to a different timeline’s Barcelona, and you disappear back to your boat in a different timeline’s Indian Ocean. Only once you are home and alone do you allow yourself to actually feel something.

Everything from Roxy messaging you to your feet hitting the deck of your yacht again happened without pause, your mind going on autopilot. Something was happening, so something had to be done in response, your plans had to be set in motion, there was no time to think about any of this. No time to fully realize what’s going on.

You stand there in the scorching evening sun of your current timezone, stare out at the horizon, and wait for the fear to come.

What hits you instead is cold, calculating, ready-to-maim anger.

You are not scared of her. Not when you know exactly what you’re going to do, where, how, and when you’re going to do it, to bring her down. You’ve been scared your whole life, and it’s enough, now. It’s enough. She’s taken your family from you, your childhood, your friends, your life as a human kid. If after all she’s put you through there is one person who has the right to destroy your home planet as well, it sure as shit should be you.

You square your shoulders, flex your hands, and refocus. You’ll have to talk to Alma to make sure you can time this coup just right to be back home for his big day.

And before that, after months and months of fighting it, you’ll have to tell your boyfriend that you’re doing the exact thing you promised him not to do.

        while  marcia  was  able  to  stay  in  america  much  longer  than  she  was  legally  supposed  to  ,  eventually  she  was  facing  deportation  ,  which  meant  lil  sofie  ,  with  her  citizenship  finally  confirmed  ,  was  put  into  the  hands  of  her  father  who  sent  off  to  an  american  boarding  school  in  new  york  without  even  contacting  her  .  she  would  spend  the  summers  in  brazil  with  her  mother  or  ,  as  she  got  older  ,  couch - surfing  with  different  friends  throughout  the  months  .  she  started  growing  apart  from  her  mother  as  she  aged  since  she  wasn’t  going  home  every  summer  since  she  didn’t  rly  feel  any  connection  to  brazil  .  her  grandfather  had  passed  away  &  she  only  has  faint  memories  grandmother  ,  plus  the  city  wasn’t  at  all  familiar  to  her  &  she  wasn’t  practicing  her  portuguese  after  her  mother  returned  to  brazil  .

         through  it  all  ,  music  was  proving  to  be  the  one  constant  in  her  life  she  could  use  to  escape  from  reality  .  she  had  never  done  any  training  or  classes  ,  but  she  just  liked  singing  along  to  whatever  was  on  the  radio  & practicing  on  her  own  .  she  also  found  a  passion  for  writing  poetry  which  she  later  would  realize  was  compatible  with  music  .  she  would  spend  HOURS  in  the  school  library  working  on  garage  band  lmfao  bc  she  couldn’t  afford  her  own  laptop  to  produce  music  &  her  dad  sent  just  enough  money  as  he  was  legally  supposed  to  .  but  she  worked  her  lil  tushy  off  &  applied  to  a  music  academy  in  nyc  &  was  rejected  the  first  year  (  DEVASTATING  when  mixed  with  her  impostor  syndrome  &  daddy  issues ) but  she  practiced  more  &  more  &  edned  up  getting  accepted  the  next  year  .  here  ,  she  worked  on  her  vocal  skills  &  music  production  ,  &  started  accumulating  her  own  music  &  selling  songs  to  music  producers  on  the  side  for  some  ca$h  money  .  

          by  the  time  she  was  16  the  state  decided  she  was  old  /  mature  enough  to  live  on  her  own  so  she  got  a  TINY  lil  studio  apartment  in  harlem  where  she’d  grown  up  with  her  mum  &  she  had  friends  who  she’d  grown  up  with  .  while  it  wasn’t  the  safest  neighbourhood  statistically  sofie  felt  safe  &  just  like  one  of  the  neighbourhood  kids  .  it  was  the  first  time  she  genuinely  felt  like  she  belonged .

        she  was  accepted  on  full  scholarship  to  nyu  & majored  in  music  composition  &  vocal  performance  where  she  started  finally  feeling  secure  in  herself  &  released  her  own  music  on  soundcloud  ,  quickly  amassing  a  following  &  becoming  an  ‘ up  &  coming ‘  artist  !!  she  was  contacted  by  a  scooter  braun  type  guy  who  was  interested  in  taking  her  on  under  his  management  so  she  dropped  out  of  uni  in  her  2nd  year  (  bc  tbh  her  grades  in  anything  other  than  her  music  classes  were  v  subpar  )  .  soon  enough  producers  wanted  to  work  with  her  &  she  was  making  enough  that  she  didn’t  have  to  sell  her  songs  which  she  hated  doing  but  had  to  pay  the  bills  u  know  .  oh  &  her  vc  is  billie  eilish  bc  ofc  shes  my  queen  go  stream  when  we  all  fall  asleep  where  do  we  go  on  spotify  u  won’t  be  disappointed  

        she  also  started  getting  into  the  partying  scene  here  yikes  !! it  was  a  method  for  her  to  numb  all  her  pain  from  her  past  &  impostor  syndrome  &  drown  all  that  out  in  pills  or  tequila  .  it  rly  wasn’t  healthy  bc  of  how  she  would  binge  for  a  weekend  then  try  to  stay  sober  throughout  the  week  but  failing  by  about  wednesday when  she  started  to  feel  hollow  .  she  wasn’t  gonna  be  a  one  hit  wonder  &  her  mom  sure   as  hell  didn’t  go  through  all  that  trouble  just  for  sofie  to  be  a  nobody  addict  !! so  she  kept  it  together  enough  to  start  making big  bucks  & well  …….  here  she  is  :~)

personality

        sofie  blames  it  on  her  brazilian  heritage  but  this  bitch  loves  a  party  !!  like  shes  the  one  who  gets  happy drunk  at  the  pre  then  is  the  first  on  the  dance  floor  then  later  falls  out  of  the  club  &  into  some  rando’s  bed !!  in  the  back  of  her  mind  she  knows  her  drug  &  alcohol  use  is  self - destructive  but  she  figures  shes  allowed  to  let  loose  sometimes (  even  if  that  ends  up  being  most  nights  )  ;  rly  she’s  just  in  denial  bc  she  doesn’t  want  to  change  her  ways  &  lose  her  identity  !!

i first came across seunghun (and the silverboys) during the jyp vs yg skz episode!! the first clip i saw was of the yg trainee’s cover of ‘why so lonely’ bc i love that song!! ofc yedam’s intro had me hooked because why would he not?? he’s god yedam! bUT THEN the bass dropped and suddenly my ears were blessed by seunghun’s beautiful??? his voice is just packed with so much emotion!! so much power!! yet so effortless!! and his gaze killed me man 😪 this boy is the epitome of charisma and talent, just as christina said 😭 and also, when he smiled after getting complemented by JYP my heart was fluttering and i was smiling with him because he’s jUST SO CUTE :’-))) omg don’t even get me started on his grey hair now fast forward a year later when the ygtb teasers get released and i come across some dude named kim seunghun’s intro video. i was like ‘hey, this guy is pretty cute! i think he’ll be my bias’ not recognizing him at first and then i remember at like 1am one night it finally hit me that he was the same boy that stole my heart during the skz episode! i was so happy to see him again 😭💞

thing? as in singular??? but i have sooo many things that i love about seunghun!! first of all, he is insanely talented. his voice is just so attractive and makes me feel some type of way whenever he performs and he can belt out high notes like nobody’s business omg. i also adore how big of a heart seunghun has. he is possibly the sweetest, most caring and considerate person i’ve ever encountered! like have u seen how much he takes care of the younger ygtb trainees?? or how he always avoided competing against his fellow silverboys and repeatedly said in his live that he loves and misses them a lot?? kim seunghun has the BIGGEST HEART and no one can convince me otherwise 🤧 oh and how can i forget his smile??? the way his lips curl up into the brightest smile is just so powerful! it’s so powerful that it can light up the whole freaking world!! clear my skin!! give me good grades!! kim seunghun can do it all 🤧

who would initate skinship more?

i think seunghun would initiate skinship more! i’m a bit too self-conscious to initiate romantic-type skinship but i would definitely be the one to lock my arms with his while we’re on a casual walk and rest my head on his shoulder when sitting next to him (zeen mentioned the latter to me before and it made me so UWU cuz it’s so trueee). however, seunghun seems like he would do most of the initiating of skinship!! i feel like he gives the best hugs in the world, making you feel comfortable and at ease. also, i can imagine him as someone that loves to hold hands!! he would just do these things whenever he feels like it, which would probs be 24/7 😭

i’m always saying ‘ily’ in a platonic way, but i would be too anxious to say i love you in a romantic sense, so i would have to say that seunghun would be the first to serious say ‘i love you’! this boy loves to talk so i can’t imagine him NOT confessing his love for you. tbh, i feel like he would say it when you least expect it! like i can see him suddenly dropping an ‘i love you’ while nervously rambling about a ton of things or on a day in, he would break the comfortable silence by saying it out of the blue.

And from there he litralee cannot be stopped im not gonna make u read my opinion on all of them but his absolute best releases since then (keep in mind im talking abt in the like 7 months….he has put out so many songs AND mv’s for all of them plus teasers it’s really insane) are skin to skin , what if i said , and on call . truly … the mf king of aesthetics. i expect his next full album will come out probably around july/august…he’s really been building up to it with his mini albums so it will probably be more or less a repackage of all of those minis but ya !! keep ur eyes peeled!!

beyond his performance stuff he’s really the most passionate, dedicated, hardworking, and talented guy. He works so hard like it is astounding. He is so incredibly inspirational and i really just think he’s a good person and frankly i would trust him with my life. He really cares for his lufans and wants them to be safe and happy even international lufans like he puts english subtitles on all of his mv’s and now his bts videos also have eng subs like…..he doesn’t have to and yet? he’s there….doing it all. he also has fan events for his bday like one year he had a soccer event on his bday and made it livestreamed so that fans at home could watch too  :( he’s just v thoughtful :(

TL;DR: luhan is the sweetest boy on the planet and he just wants to make aesthetic bops and play w cats and live his life happily and freely. he is the most precious thing to me and he deserves all the love in the world. also he is a human meme and Lu is his magnum opus if u want to see more of lu i highly recommend Running Man (this is his first ep, and these two are my favorites) and episodes 2, 5, and 9 of exo showtime are my favorite lu episodes. u can catch him in the movie The Great Wall w matt damon and a bunch of v famous chinese actors and singers lmfao i just got it from redbox the other day lu is so cute um also he’s in a cdrama rn called Fighter of the Destiny which is all eng subbed on youtube the cgi is like ridiculously cheesy kinda power rangers feel but his face and sweet acting…..it’s enough 4 me….anything luhan does is enough 4 me
