A combination of watching mogswamps flatworld series from the start and seeing a fic on ao3 called This Isnt The Flat World by TheoSpooderBoi, which has a really cool premise and looks like it'll explore the isolation of living in a flatworld for 11 years, has got the brain microwave in overdrive.
Taking the idea that mog was alone for 11 years roughly, surviving in a flat expanse of a world and truely thinking of the implications. Like he was 15 at the start and also mans was primarily eating rotten flesh by ep 17 (thats as far as ive gotten so far, so probably farther too). It took him a good few episodes to finally make a wheat farm lol he was not eating well. Which bring up a pretty wholesome idea where the villagers started to trade him food like cookies n stuff (ep 16 or 17 i think is when he mentioned it) but ye.
With him living through the 1.3 update where villager trading became a thing, in my head thats when he started to learn how to talk with villagers (which is a concept brought up in the fic mentioned above and makes me crazy). Im so excited to get to the episode he meets wandy t lmao.
Do you see my vision, the implications man the implications

Willowpelt sounds SO autistic, it not being funny wraps around into being funny again.
My secret is being so autistic and so surrounded by so many other autistic people that I forget what tismless people even do. Everyone in BB ends up getting a touch of ADHDautism. As a treat.
But yeah when I was jotting it down I realized it too. Like wow, I really hit this one with the autism beam. Me and you, Willy, we will both have adamantine opinions. I cannot condone your hatred of apples but you do have a good point about oak trees.

Ok, had an outright delusional conversation with my mum about ted lasso and this is what she said: what's the point of colin coming out in the grander scheme of things? Why is trent's presence at richmond relevant to the plot? Trent ultimately being there to help colin through his coming out is sweet and inspiring but, on its own, it doesn't drive the big plot, only creates a new sideplot. So, what is it's relevance to the main plot/character? How is colin coming out and trent helping him relevant to richmond, relevant to ted? She said it implies ted goes on some sort of self discovery journey that mirrors colin's and with all the gay stuff happening it's not a huge mental leap to assume ted starts to question his sexuality too once he hears about the experience of being closeted from someone going through a coming out. And she specifically said this is seeded in ted's relationship with sassy: even though sassy seems to show genuine interest in him (whether that's romantic or purely sexual) ted always seems to go along with it mindlessly, without questioning if it's what he really wants/needs in that moment. He uses their relationship as a distraction from his depressive episodes but never genuinely seems interested in sassy as a romantic/sexual partner. So what would happen if he started to question his encounters with her? What would happen if he started to question where the selective disinterest is coming from? Would he find it's only because he just can't let go of michelle? Or is it because he can't let go of the expectation surrounding these encounters? He's never had to answer such questions because he's been with michelle from such a young age. What if he started to explore encounters he DOES find genuine interest in and what if he finds the encounters are unexpected and scary, similarly to colin pre coming out? What if trent helps colin, but ultimately, inadvertently, importantly, helps TED in his journey to self-acceptance and colin is just the spark to light the fire? It's so big brained cause it ties most of ted's struggles together so neatly: his struggle with his marriage, with who he is outside of the marriage, with why he's always felt he needed to justify his presence with 'being curious, not judgemental', his relationship with sassy and trent and most importantly his father, ESPECIALLY as we might learn about trent's relationship with his father

Replaying shadow of the Erdtree and there are two abductor virgins at Fort Reprimand. In the main game, the ones outside of Mt. Gelmir are mainly found in places where Rykard had familial ties. So did he also view Messmer fraternally like Radahn did?

while i totally believe cannibalism in nbc hannibal is a metaphor for love i also believe it's a metaphor for transition (not intentionally written that way but it just happens--it could also be a metaphor for coming out as gay)
bc think about it
will has this side to him he has to suppress
he then goes through stages of exploration, self-acceptance, and embracing who he is
this involves killing as an act of transition towards his true self (similar to how we have "deadnames", some people may even view transition as a sort of "killing" their pre-transition self so their true gender self can be born)
he is literally scared of how good it feels, which is very trans--being terrified of what it means to let that shell crack, fearing you are a monster for enjoying these things (which, the "monster as metaphor for queerness and social outcastedness" is a classic horror trope)
not to mention rituals, consuming/growing/literally having new substances inside the body that you did not experience before (human flesh as hrt), and engaging in acts that the world finds heinous but nourishes the body
his cannibalism is him becoming god-like ("Killing must feel good to God, too. He does it all the time") and we all know trans ppl are gods and goddesses and godexxes of the mortal realm
rly the list goes on
but basically season 1 will graham is eggy as fuck and season 3 is him finally becoming his full self and accepting love for who he is and thats so sexy and cool and transgender of him

Read your orchids tags and what a mood... I'm also someone who recently started having disposable income and definitely can spend money but have a lot of guilt about doing it anyway. Idk I guess it's just nice knowing that there's other people going through the same things and that adulting is Weird. I hope you get all the purple flowers! I hope we can both overcome our spending guilt!!! Raaa!!!
Aw, haha, I totally feel you anon! I've literally budgeted a certain percentage of my take-home income as "guilt free spending" and I'm pretty okay with spending it on relatively low-cost stuff, like a $20 game or whatever, but a $65 orchid seems nuts to me even though I'll probably obsess over it for months and months while the game sits unplayed in my Steam library, HAH. I keep thinking "I'm buying too much..." and then I do the math and actually, no, I'm under budget.
Starting last month is actually the first time in my life I've supported myself entirely off of my own income, and I'm 28, so I've jumped from "$100 is so much money" to, y'know, paying rent and bills and buying a couch and so on, and getting used to seeing sums of money that large come and go in my bank account has been an interesting adjustment. On top of that, I also just grew up fairly frugal. We were never in dire straits financially, but we immigrated to the USA without much money, and also, just, like... it's the broke Soviet expat attitude, hahaha. Even when we Had Money it was a matter of Should We Really Be Spending It? (Which has worked out great for my parents and made me like-minded! But even my dad has told me, like, "Worry less, it's not that much money," lol.)
I think it's not an uncommon way to feel, and sometimes I try to justify it to myself in "going to the movies" units of money. Going to a nice movie theator and having a good time without going crazy but still splurging on a snack or a drink or something runs on average about $25 and most people wouldn't consider that too unreasonable. Would this orchid be worth about three fun afternoons to me? Well, that no longer sounds excessive.
Not a super reliable measurement, but it's mostly just meant to put things into some perspective without actually being a strict judgment.
At the end of the day, though, I just tell myself that as satisfying as it is to transfer dollars into my Fidelity account to sit on like a dragon, this money is literally in my budget to enjoy on whatever. I have paid my bills. I have put money into savings and investments. I have enough for groceries. What is money for after that if not to enjoy life?

WHICH SYMBOLIC FRUIT ARE YOU?
Tumblr media
Cherry. (Man, this is going to need some tag rambling; because while it's what I suspected and it's very fitting in many ways, I need to address one element).
Tumblr media
In popular culture, cherries have come to represent sensuality, sex, and seduction. In the cult classic, Twin Peaks, Audrey Horne expresses her sexual expertise by tying a cherry stem with her tongue. "Cherry" is also used to refer to the concept of virginity: why? I don't know to be honest, but here we are. Much like the cherry, you're a sensual person who enjoys all the creature comforts the world offers. You enjoy delicious food, dynamic relationships, passionate lovemaking and stimulating conversation; however, you may also come across a touch vapid or shallow, due to your quickly fading attention when something has served its usefulness to you. To quote some man on tinder: "you're here for a good time, not a long time". You can come across, at times, slightly tart, carrying a bit of a bite to you that not everyone can handle. That’s okay: you’re an acquired taste!
Tagged: @basbousah (Thank you 🩷) Tagging: I don't tend to tag for quizzes easily but this one was actually fun, so let's harass. @immobiliter (how about Furina?) @kushtibokt @genus83 @genius81 @spiderwarden @delusionaid (Wriothesley, or Zhongli— porque no los dos? 🤭) @apocryphis (Topaz) @aventvrina @resolutepath (Elio) @daybreakrising (Blade) @astrxlfinale @kahakera @cygnor @chasersglow @scrtilegii (Jing Yuan)... and anyone else who'd like to do it, say I tagged you because I'd love to see the results!
#[ games. ] the game only works when we follow the rules; though i'll be none the wiser if they're broken. let morality be your guide.#[ this has been open in a tab since yesterday. ]#[ okay but i actually /love/ this result. BUT LET ME SPECIFY-- to those who haven't read my other post. ]#[ please read 'sex' and 'seduction' through a very old fashioned lens. very old fashioned. ]#[ and then i think it's a lot more fitting. think film noir/1940s femme fatale /instead/ of the modern femme fatale and you got it. ]#[ seductive in the way that a woman can be inherently alluring. ]#[ sex in the way that it /is/ something she engages in. but in the way that one does without overindulging at all. no promiscuity. ]#[ i'm not saying religious-type 'it means everything'. but i'll forever live by that line by blade. ]#[ “she must have sought something extraordinary. everything she does comes at a great cost.” ]#[ the thing is-- he knows she lacks fear. so i don't see 'at a great cost' being a value tied to anything because of personal risk. ]#[ or fear of chasing after it. it also means something that it comes from blade. who likely also has an interesting tie to 'fear'. ]#[ but any way that means 'at a great cost' means investment/engagement (time. effort. sacrifice?) ]#[ which shows a deep rooted dedication to something. which speaks to me of a certain passion that needs to propel something like that. ]#[ and if we take passion into the equation-- then i think that fits for how she speaks and handles everything blade and tb-related. ]#[ then i also can see 'sex' very fitting. she would; when engaging in it; be incredibly all-encompassing but not in a 'dominatrix' way. ]#[ nor a traditional 'dominant' way. but simply incredibly present. engaged. passionate. ]#[ those two things can fit incredibly next to sensuality if you simply look at it from a specific lens that isn't casual and/or modern. ]#[ outside of that... dynamic relationships? ☑️ stimulating conversation? ☑️ which PLAYS INTO THE NEXT PART. ]#[ which is /yes/ she is bored. she gets bored. you /need/ to be able to stimulate her by having something of your own to interest her. ]#[ she also wouldn't/doesn't like people who serve her every whim. no. have your own interests. ]#[ as to elaborate on an acquired taste: she isn't everyone's cup of tea. if you don't have something that interests her-- you won't... ]#[ enjoy being around her. if she doesn't /like/ you. you won't think she's fun. in /that/ she's an acquired taste. ]#[ and has a bit of a bite. ]

i know that they just included Mac Finds His Pride at the end of that 'episodes to watch before s16' post cuz they were going in chronological order w the eps listed and they're gonna bring up the dance this season ofc, but deep down i want it to have to do with Dennis Takes a Mental Health Day being at the end of this season and MFHP being a finale that did something unexpected and grounded in the emotional reality of a character somehow correlating to Dennis' ep....

Arcee cannot do science and throws in snarky comments relating to math, engineering etc. but she will watch your muse do super cool stuff. She's that person who leans head against hands and watches at the table - and listens while they explain something her processor cannot even comprehend with tiny nods.

yes i'm still sitting and stewing about that one post that went around a while ago like "we know what a fish is! tetrapods aren't fish! paraphyly is valid!" and i'm going to be sitting and stewing on it because it's not like that's a common misconception that entirely misunderstands the entire foundation of paleontology or anything! it's not like understanding that tetrapods are fish is fundamental to understanding tetrapod evolution or life on land as we know it or something!
anyways. people who aren't ready to learn the fact that there's no such thing as a species.

could you create a star vs the forces of evil episode guide?
I'll try my best
Star vs The Forces of Evil is mostly a character driven series like other modern animated series that have overall arcs. This means the focus is usually on the characters and their relationships. The romance shipping plot regardless of its quality plays an important role in the characters and continuity too, so, i'll consider some episodes essential to understand what is going on.
The episodes that i consider most important are marked in black like this. Adding (Don’t skip) to episodes that shouldn’t be skipped when watching this series.
Let's start:
Season 1
This season is mostly episodic. I think a good part can be skipped but is still worth of watching some of the episodes for the character dynamics and such. 1)"Star Comes to Earth": Introduction to the characters and premise of the show so yeah (Don't skip) / "Party with a Pony": Introduction to Pony Head, a recurring character (Don't Skip)
2) "Matchmaker": It gives context to why a recurrent character becomes a troll / "School Spirit": Star character development + gives some idea of how she was raised
3) "Monster Arm": Marco character development episode + monster arm that gets mention a few times in the series / "The Other Exchange Student": Somewhat fun episode, can be skipped.

9) "Freeze Day": Some crucial Marco development + introduction to his crush on Jackie (Don't skip) / "Royal Pain": Star's father, River, shows up in this episode
10) "St. Olga's Reform School for Wayward Princesses": Very crucial episode for plenty of reasons- Introduction to Miss Heinous as main antagonist (later in the series) (Don't skip)
11) "Mewnipendance Day": It explores past about Mewni and Star stars to change her view about monsters (Don't skip) / "The Banagic Incident": Can be skipped
12) "Interdimensional Field Trip": Somewhat good character for Star / "Marco Grows a Beard": Fillerish episode
13) "Storm the Castle": Season 1 finale- Toffee gets ¨defeated¨ and the wand gets destroyed. Introduction of magic destroying spell (Don't skip)
Season 2
This is when the series becomes more serialized, meaning that there is more continuity in between in contrast to Season 1. This season is rather slow burn but a good part of the episodes help with setting up stuff and development.
1)"My New Wand!": Explores the consequences of Season 1 finale (Don't Skip) / "Ludo in the Wild": Sets up Ludo as main antagonist+ great character development for him (Don't skip)
2) "Mr. Candle Cares": Important character development for Tom Lucitor and his relationship with Marco (Don't skip) / "Red Belt": Marco centric episode, can be skipped
