synopsis:

Raaf killed the King in his own court, slaughtering him like a sacrificial lamb at a ritual. The blood and gore of the King stains his hands as the Prince finds him, binding them together in fate. But now the King torments Raaf, his ghost follows him everywhere, whispering to him about magic and blood and bones and the mind itself.

Haunted, unsure, and lost, Raaf teams up with the Prince and the Priestess, both of whom do not share the same motivations, but who provide safety and a kind of protection in the labyrinth of Terdam. With their own agendas, the Prince and the Priestess both do not anticipate the divine chaos they will find themselves in alongside Raaf: Saints gone astray, people turning against one another, and a familiar voice whispering betrayal and sin into the minds of others.

Besides, hunger is a thing that is difficult to satisfy — to devour, is to become a god.

A Re-Introduction

So, like, no one I know in real life knows about this, I don't think. So, it's going to be my private space to talk about all sorts of shit that I don't really want to talk to anyone I know about. Sometimes it's going to be about real shit, sometimes it's going to be working on my writing [fiction], sometimes it's going to be about random shit I can't get out of my ADHD brain. I'm turning 40 next year and I'm back on Tumblr. Literally wearing a FOB shirt right now. That sounds about right for me right now. And I love it.

I guess maybe I'm back on Tumblr after all. Thank you Neil Gaiman (and muskrat for making the bird so insufferable; tangentially).

Just wanted to say hello to new friends and old; I'm Irena - this used to be a strictly SPN blog but I think at this point it's safe to say it's multi fandom. I still love our 15 year show (all of it; there's no hate here please). I'm a deancoded deangirlie and I ship destiel but I don't care if you do or don't (I stay in my lane and enjoy things and have no problem with others doing the same!). I'm also a fan of Good Omens (currently hyperfixating), Our Flag Means Death, What We Do In The Shadows, Lucifer, The Magicians, The Bear, Gotham Knights (aside from the SPN pipeline, Batman is my favorite super hero so give me anything Batman, really), The Winchesters, Heartstopper, Walker Independence, OUAT, Bridgewater and all Lauren Shippen projects (The Bright Sessions is my favorite), LOTR, 12 Monkeys (the show);

I like travel, reading (queer romance and fantasy romps are my favorite but I'll take a good thriller or poetry collection any day, too), cooking/food, running, SPN cons, Taylor Swift (I love music period but Taylor deserves her own category), jumping rope, and friendship.

I write - poems and fic (destiel mostly but there are some crossovers) and my ao3 is linked in my bio if you'd like to take a gander. I like kind people who thrive in chaos; anyone who isn't a dick to other people is welcome in this house. I love recommendations on things to watch, see, read, eat. Drop some in the asks!

My favorite movie is Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I've seen it 15 times. I am a strong proponent of purse cheese. I have one child, one partner, and one dog. I'm horrid at geography. Nice meeting you all (again or for the very first time). I've missed being here!

This is my space for my current hyperfixations. I’ve been here for years but inactive for years too until now. Maybe.

Anyway, while I’m being driven to one hospital to another for my clinics, I check this space for micro doses of dopamine.

On longer breaks, I play gacha games (Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and most recently, Love and Deepspace (current obsession) or, well, sleep (which is 97% of the time). 🌞

I used to write fanfics…Might still write if inspiration and good timing collides.

I have too many fandoms and interests that I have given up curating this space and just let it be a chaotic void of random things. 😁

I started Ruddy Was Here right here on tumblr all the way back in 2010. I can't believe it's been 13 years already!

This was my first real journal where I could document and photograph everything going on around me. What was originally intended as a photo series on works found in the New York City subway system actually ended up becoming an art crawl. Subconsciously I wanted to connect with people in a more intimate way and the tour organically came out of that feeling. The experience was not re-inventing the wheel, but looking back I realize that I was manifesting the job I wish I had, the role of storyteller. I was sending out a bat signal, wanting to be the queer and brown version of Anthony Bourdain.

Nailah's uncomfortable facing her feelings in most instances, and realizing she was actually in love with G'raha was no different. She tried her damnedest to resist her growing affections for him, tried to ignore how the light would catch him just right on their walks, how his voice would echo in her head long after they spoke, how she wondered what his crystal skin would feel like under her fingers - all things she poorly tried to explain as friendly thoughts for someone she missed far more than she expected.

(Even after Nailah accepted that yes, she was really in love with him, she kept finding excuses to get around telling him about her feelings. Looming apocalypses are good for that, though, and she's had plenty of time to come around on the idea.)

On G'raha's side, he didn't really resist falling in love with her so much as he didn't realize he had. He figured the feelings she inspired in him were just part of his heroic admiration of her, and thought this up until he met Estinien and noticed the differences. The realization was sudden, though certainly not unpleasant, and he's far more resistant about pursuing his feelings than actually having them.
