Okay now that you're into dissection I should probably give a little disclaimer about reinkaos because that album was based on the religious writings of a misanthropic satanic cult that the vocalist was a part of (and for which he was accomplice in a murder of a guy that some other dude from the cult wanted to murder as a sacrifice??) and honestly I think their teachings are a bunch of shit but the way they talk about their misappropriated mythical figures is indeed sexy

that's fuckin sick and twisted as fuck?? interesting. why is there a batshit insane story for so many metal bands why is it LIKE THIS

Jon Andreas Nodtveidt - Driving and lead force of Dissection . Once out of prison , he created the final gem to “break “ the circle . Personally , I truly love Reinkaos and it is my 2nd fav album they’ve ever created . Much more Luciferian-based , which I love. But of course , I’ll always admire the fantasy/dark/satanic atmosphere that they brought with the first 2 releases !

So does anyone else think reinkaos (specifically maha kali) has some oedipusean undertones? Now I can't say what was going on in mr Nödtveidt's little head considering the other hijinks he had gotten up to prior to his ritualistic suicide in 2006 but there might be something here. Now if I had those supposedly incredibly insightful and revealing documents that I was told about by this swedish man last year maybe there could be something to really dig into here but unfortunately he ghosted me and never translated them from swe-eng and I only know very specific swedish words and phrases that would be unlikely to be helpful. He also never said where to access them. and I could message him now but it would be most likely unwelcome and also prettyyy awkward. Not even 'subtle.' bro was calling her mommy and saying "kiss me with your bloody lips and drive me insane" etc throughout. Whatever...
