The post about the Vinsmokes gaining emotions after WCI is perfect, but what about they gaining emotions before WCI? To be clear, during the time the StrawHats are separated by Kuma and everyone think the crew is dead? (And with the East Blue Polycule?)

Judge reads this in the papers and says something about the failure finally dying and while Reiju knows how to mask her feelings but is almost crying inside, 124ji receive a wave of feelings upon the news.

So they wait until Judge isn't in the room and all the three of them panic. They kept asking to Reiju what that thing inside their chests is, every single thing they did to Sanji heaving on their shoulders.

Reiju wasn't expecting this reaction upon the news. Not even a little bit. But she is their older sister and does what she can do. After the brothers are calmed down, they start to make a plan to kill Judge.

A year and something after, they do kill Judge what destroy Germa. After the siblings focus on dealing with feelings and discovering emotions.

When the news about the StrawHats reuniting comes almost a year later, the 0124ji celebrate that Sanji is alive. They set sail looking for Sanji and to apologize. Take some time but they do find the crew.

The StrawHats are fighting the marines and when Sanji sees them he freezes. After the fight ends they try to talk with Sanji with the crew around them. Then they start to list all the things they have to say sorry for. Until Reiju says "Sorry for letting our father lock you in this dunsheon with the helmet for two years" and the crew is in chaos, even more Sanji's partnes (Luffy, Zoro, Usopp and Nami).

Sanji sighs and says he will explain to the crew, but he doesn't want to see the Vinsmokes while telling everything but they still have stay since he will think about the apologize. The StrawHats go to the kitchen and Robin uses her Akuma No Mi to keep an eye at the four.

Already inside the kitchen, Sanji tells everything to the crew and his partnes. It's chaos and everyone is chocked and angry. Zoro, Luffy, Nami and Usopp want to punch Sanji's brothers (the rest of the crew also wants but they're the ones who want more).

Alright, shit, okay. Fuck.

Judge is reading the paper and says the failure is finally dead and he's glad he doesn't have to worry about that mess anymore. Not that he really was, Reiju however, is being torn apart on the inside at the revelation the Strawhat Pirates are dead, the captain dead after Marineford. When Judge leaves the room, the brothers immediately asking her questions about what that weird feeling is in their chest, seemingly panicking for some reason. It's like a heavy stone just compressing their organs and Reiju explains feelings to them. Explains how she and Sanji had them thanks to their mother even if Sanji was their father's failure he was what their mother hoped they would all be. And now they are becoming that.

124ji ask what to do, what can they do? So Reiju offers a plot that will end their lives as they know them, and they agree. They start plotting to kill Judge and tear down Germa and sink it to the bottom of the seas. She is shocked whenever they approach her asking for help identifying new feelings. A lot of it is varying degrees of guilt and shame for what they did to Sanji when they were kids, for not stopping their father and letting participating to varying degrees in his torture. None of them are innocent, none of them, but perhaps they could start repairing things. Starting with the fall of Germa and its king, Judge. They set up, the brothers much better at reading rooms and people and not using their royal status to get things, to gain advantages.

Judge's death is rather anticlimatic for all that he's done to them and Sanji. 124ji shed tears as they sink the ship, sending their mother's grave to the bottom of the Grand Line with their father and kingdom. So they sail and just go on with their lives, Reiju showing them the world and helping them discover emotions. They still do a lot of dirty work, it's what they're good at anyway but it's weird, they don't like it. Feels weird and wrong now, but they need to live and unfortunately this is how they have to do it because they don't have real life skills. They have bought books on cooking, laundry, cleaning, maintaining a ship, sailing. They feel dumb because this is not what they were prepared for growing up, but growing up meant being weapons, not humans-not like they are now. They're going around as they normally do. It's a lot to deal with though, mourning their brother, their mother, even their father whether or not he deserves it is questioned often but they can never come to a conclusive answer.

Then the Strawhat Pirates return, Sanji is alive. They make it their mission to find him and apologize and try to make things right but they don't even know where to start looking for the blond or his crew because they move fast and quick and it's hard to keep track of where the crew has been seen and what they have done. They celebrate, certainly, celebrate he's alive and with his crew and has people like he didn't then, when he was in Germa. They've also noticed their skin, while still extremely tough, isn't cold and kind of bouncy now, it has give like muscle and flesh would. It's weird for them to be in this situation but good at the same time. To become more human even if they will never be fully human. It's weird how much they've changed since they thought Sanji died, but Reiju likes them better this way. Their curiosity overflowing into the world around them as they learn to appreciate things more, appreciate their mother and brother more.

Eventually they do find the Strawhat crew, the Thousand Sunny dwarfing their own vessel but since it's the four of them they don't need a massive ship. They sail under a flag that means nothing, it's not Germa's, it's not a jolly roger, it's not a marine flag, it's just.... nothing. They needed something and this is what they came up with okay? So of course the Strawhats aren't paying them any mind, they think they're civillians which is accurate now, they suppose. Also they're in the middle of a firefight with the marines so, they're timing is awful but they go help. They can do that, at least there's that. Sanji is flying though? Without a raid suit like they have? He's on fire? His siblings are very confused and so is he at the sight of them in all honesty. What the fuck.

Once the Marines retreat and time is given to recoup on all sides Sanji fucking yells what the fuck they're doing and he's never supposed to see them again only for an unstoppable torrent of apologies to fly at him. Sanji is utterly confused as are the four people around him, all holding him weirdly close, too close for the siblings to like but everyone on the crew is confused, not just Sanji who is so utterly lost by all of this but that green haired guy with the swords is looking more and more angry and the long nose is talking quietly with Nico Robin which isn't concerning at all. Nope. Not even a little. They are NOT afraid.

"Sorry for letting Father let you rot in the dungeon for two years with the helmet!" Reiju yells up to the blond which makes his crew lose it and weapons are drawn on them, Sanji is trying to calm them all down but the orange haired girl is demanding to know what the hell Reiju's talking about, what any of them are talking about, the captain is asking why the different Sanji's are doing in general as long nose is attempting to hold the green haired guy back. The robot seems to be getting ready to shoot something at them as hands sprout over the siblings' ship to hold them down and try to keep them where they are.

"Let them come aboard while I explain everything to everyone in the kitchen, they can stay on deck." Sanji says and they all agree and the siblings board the grand ship and their brother has corralled his crew into the galley of the ship, they know they're being watched there's no way they're not being watched but still. They wish they could hear what's going on in the galley, instead they're sitting on deck and Niji is fucking with his goggles and sitting on the grass as Yonji eyes the swing.

"What's that?" Yonji asks pointing.

"A swing." Reiju answers. "A toy. Like how you swing from your hands sometimes." The brothers stare at the swing with interest but decide against touching it. They wait what seems like forever.

Sanji meanwhile is explaining as Luffy is rubber armed around him and Nami who hasn't let go since he first met them. He explains how he's the failure of Germa who was declared dead at six and then left in a dungeon with a metal helmet, so no one knew who he was. How he was his brothers' punching bag until his "escape" when Judge traded Sanji's freedom for his silence. His mother dying and how he was declared dead only a few weeks after, the bugs that would crawl into the mask but couldn't get back out so they would eat him and his only friends were rats and mice. Zoro is being held back by Usopp sitting on his lap but also a very real threat of what the four out on deck could do after watching them fight the marines. Sanji says the emotions are new, that previously it had only been Reiju and even then she had been more than content to wait and maybe patch him up after. Luffy asks if he wants to do anything and Sanji shrugs, says he should make them dinner before kicking them off ship and Zoro points out he doesn't have to. Nami argues their boyfriend will feed anyone and if they came here on a ship like that to apologize, albeit awfully, Sanji's going to feel the need to feed them, which Luffy and Usopp agree with and then tack on that once they're gone they can all go to their room and pile on the cook. So Sanji starts cooking and the others filter out to the deck and other areas of the ship. Zoro and Luffy keep an eye on the siblings and Nami asks them questions about Germa and what it's like.

"We sunk it." Ichiji says.

"Huh?" Voices chorus from around them.

"Yeah, killed our father then sunk the whole kingdom, fleet, whatever you want to call it. We started plotting to kill the guy when he said Sanji died after The Summit War, killed him about a year later, here we are. Learning how to be human or trying to at least."

"You guys are fucking weird, dinner's ready, come on!" Sanji calls across the desk and everyone filters into the galley to eat. The food is good and the siblings all compliment the blond on it, they help clean up as well. They leave with waves and the denden number, handed over by Robin to Reiju with a shared look of secrecy. The East Blue crew are all in their room, formerly the captain and first mate's quarters which were combined before they set sail again, piled on the bed with Sanji at the bottom and covered by warm flesh and words of praise and thankfulness he's there. Something little Sanji never thought he would have.

Time to yap since I've been posting abt this without fully elaborating. Little profiles for the siblings here and here

tl;dr I just wanted to do a little swap au where the modded siblings r the normal ones now, but I still wanted to keep the fact they're generally not very good siblings to Sanji (with the exception of Reiju) instead of swapping that dynamic as well.

Reiju's mods never really worked on her, even though they were attempted after birth. The boys all got spared by their mother in the womb at the cost of her dying much earlier than she did in canon, except for Sanji, who came out "right". Quickly it was pretty clear he fulfilled the role of a weapon with flying colors, but his emotional mods left him with very little personality and expressiveness, so he wouldn't be any good for actually running Germa when it came down to that.

So, suddenly the failures are deemed necessary. Judge can't get rid of them, even in a way that helps him save face.

It doesn't stop him from reminding them that they're failures that couldn't hope to live up to his expectations, and it also doesn't stop him from trying to "fix" them, even though it hasn't worked. Even though they're royalty, there's an air about them because of how their father talks about them. None of the staff are ever gonna dare treat them poorly but you can tell there's a neon sign over their heads calling them all disappointments. They end up split up as well so there's less solidarity or space to find comfort in each other between them. Niji ends up as a scientist, Yonji as a soldier, Ichiji as the crown prince with all the education and responsibility that entails, and Reiju is sort of in limbo, though she acts as an advisor. It is a bit miserable, though even with all this they do still try to find time together.

Sanji at some point gets told to not let any of his siblings come to harm, and it quickly becomes an order he prioritizes much more than Judge could've predicted he would. He is their protector above all else, and they are important.

At some point whilst Judge is trying to modify his siblings again later in life (likely whilst Yonji was getting his arm replaced, I have smth specific in mind but I'm not sure about it so that'll be sorted later!) Sanji comes to perceive Germa as physically harming his siblings, one of the things he isn't supposed to let happen. So he gathers them all together during a quiet time, splits off some of their snail ships, and leaves with them. Effectively, they've all run away.

That's the setup.

They gain a reputation over time on the Grand Line as the ship with the vicious guard dog. They don't fly a jolly roger, but they get into enough scuffles and subsist off of stealing from other pirates enough that they get treated similarly to pirates regardless, even though they're not usually the aggressors. Sanji is just thorough like that.

Months after all of that happens and they're settled down after the initial chaos of finally getting out of Germa (though still on the run and sailing, they're definitely still being looked for), Niji ends up suggesting that they euthanize Sanji. It comes from a place of care, he thinks it's unfair and inhumane that he has to live with no feelings and only really having orders to follow as motivation for things, and this starts a chain of infighting and arguing between all of his siblings.

Yonji agrees, though he doesn't really care for Sanji. He sees him to some degree as a weapon, and one they'd do well to get rid of because he could be used against them when their father rears his ugly head again. Reiju disagrees just on principle, and is kind of mortified that Niji's solution to their brother being different from them is to just end his life. She's retained what her mother tried instilling in her. Ichiji disagrees, but for practical reasons. He also doesn't much care, but he knows they're on the Grand Line, and that Yonji being a good fighter isn't going to get them out of scuffles unscathed the way having Sanji around as their guard dog does. It is kind of hard to argue against that, all things considered, but it's not the sort of argument that's going to keep anything at bay for too long either. It keeps bubbling back up and strains all of their relationships.

Sanji, of course, hears all of this. None of them consult him on the issue or tell him about it directly. He remains loyal to them all anyway. He is still their guard dog.

Things happen from there obviously but I hope to write a fic so that'll be for a later date if I ever get around to it. Hoping I do. I still wanna just put this out here in case I never do get around to it LOL. Feel free to ask questions and such :] I like engaging with people

I wanna see Reiju x Tashigi headcanons from you! I actually think they are pretty cute, the Princess of Germa falling in love for a pretty marine woman

I think they're pretty cute too!! I love them!! That color spread rewired everybody's brains, I think 🩷🤍🧡

I am so so so weak for princesses falling for people they shouldn't. Reiju is the perfect golden daughter, mostly to avoid issues with her dad and because she settles with her position as a Germa member instead of looking for what she wants. And she's fine with that. She's ""mature enough"" to know that as the oldest she should be the one taking care of her (even if awful) brothers.

I mentioned this in another post but the thought of Reiju knowing she's a lesbian but never acting upon those feelings and setting them aside because she's a warrior and a woman and I am so sure Judge has the "you have to give birth to my grandchildren" mentality. And tbh she doesn't really want to have children because she feels she will never be able to be like Sora and is afraid she might end up hurting them if she raises them in that environment. But little tiny headcanon (that will be important later for Tashigi) Reiju finds out she actually can't have children after all the modifications and Judge blames her and she actually has an awful time because maybe she did want children. At least she wanted to choose. Whatever.

As to how they meet, I am not that sure. But it isn't that weird that the marines go to the Germa kingdom. Judge probably suborns all of them, ngl. Not Tashigi, though, of course. But it's not like she can do anything about what Judge does yet. But to go directly to the headcanons, yadda yadda yadda Judge makes Reiju talk with Tashigi yadda yadda yadda it's noticeable she's trying hard to force Tashigi to get out of there before anything happens to her even if she's just constantly teasing and threatening her. Typical "I know you're only threatening me because your father told you, you can get out of here with me" vs "I am fine here, this is my true nature (nope) and you should go before I have to kill you".

I actually really want them to have a whole night for themselves and fall for each other kind of right away? Not really right away but there is something between them and they can feel it. And maybe in the future Reiju can sneak out during her missions to see Tashigi and be a little bit annoying (because she misses her and wants to see how she's doing but won't stop teasing her) while Tashigi tries to make her open up and convince her to escape with her and just... Turn in her family. But Reiju has this mentality of "if I turn them in you have to capture me too because we're the same" and also her oldest sister feelings.

So they have this back and forth relationship in which Reiju won't stop teasing and sometimes opening up and Tashigi won't stop discovering and seeing more and more about her. While Reiju starts falling in love (something she was never allowed to do and still feels like she shouldn't be doing) when she sees Tashigi's kindness (kind of resembling Sora's) and Tashigi just knows Reiju has that kindness within her too. Going back to the children again, at some point Reiju meets the Punk Hazard children being with Tashigi and she just looks so nurturing and sweet with them and Tashigi can't help but just knowing she has a good heart.

And it's also the perfect moment to mention Sanji (without actually saying his name). It's just Reiju saying she misses him and Tashigi seriously thinks at first that she's talking about him like that because he died, but she can see on Reiju's eyes that there is more to that.

I really want to get into simple, generic headcanons now so:

Reiju is always taking off and stealing Tashigi's glasses because it's just fun for her to see her fall and catch her

Reiju sees Tashigi fight/on serious mode and it honestly makes her feel things she has never felt before

Tashigi thinks Reiju is extremely experienced when it comes to dating and sex because look at her but she actually has never been with a woman because she has only had to use her seduction on men. So they're both equally nervous even if it isn't that noticeable on Reiju

Reiju finds so admirable of Tashigi that she goes all the way to fight for what she thinks is right and wishes she could do the same. But she's constantly trapped on the "I'm a Vinsmoke" mindset

Tashigi takes care of her and erases that mindset at some point with so so much comfort and gentleness Reiju has never felt before (I think Reiju deserves to cry and be vulnerable too btw)

Constantly teasing each other and it's so much fun when Reiju wants to be the most flirty and Tashigi ends up flirting back and damn she was not expecting that but she likes it

AGHHH I can't stop thinking about Reiju just admitting and accepting she'll have to get married at some point to a man and Tashigi being so furious about it. Imagine these two dating in secret for a while and just-- Tashigi promising they'll be together and get married or whatever and Reiju letting herself dream for a while about it

"I love you" / "It'll pass" or something like this

Again with the dangerously yours quotes but the whole "If I betray you, I betray myself. If I betray them, I betray my family. My brothers are very dear to me" / "Dearer than I?" feels like something they'd go through

This got angsty- Just imagine Reiju like "Nooo this food was definitely poisoned so sad mmm I will have to kiss you now I guess!!" and it's just an excuse to make out with Tashigi but Tashigi is actually freaking out until she realizes she's just flirting

Tashigi rambles SO MUCH about swords and Reiju loves every second of it because she looks so genuine and excited...

And Reiju actually does listen to everything Tashigi has to say and Tashigi has never felt so appreciated...

Smoker knows his girl is in love but he does not want to know shit about it so he pretends he doesn't know about Tashigi and Reiju's calls in the middle of the night. But Tashigi does look happier and more inclined to work even harder so that is a win for him

Suddenly Tashigi knows a lot about poisons and she says some fun fact about them and Smoker goes "??? Since when are you so into this??" and she gets all nervous and anxious and says she read it in a book

Same with Reiju. Her brothers see her happier and want to tease her about it and her secret but she has been more gentle and motherly to them so... They've been acting softer... Kind of. For some reason they like seeing her happy and they're still trying to figure out why

I honestly think Ichiji is the only one who actually knows about the whole thing but doesn't say anything about it as long as it doesn't affect them

Reiju likes dressing up Tashigi with her dresses because she likes seeing her I classy clothes (and then taking them off but that's another story)

Same thing with Tashigi btw she likes seeing Reiju with her hair messed up and just t-shirts because she barely sees her in a genuine, comforting way

I actually do have more ideas about them because they're making me go insane but... I think this is enough for this post. They're so,,, Cute,,, And I adore them. Let Reiju be free please please please 🫶🏻 So she can date her beautiful, nerd, marine girl 🩷🩷

chapter ten

I was woken up by Donna gently shaking my shoulders, repeating the same words over and over.

"Princess, get up!" She says in an attempt to wake me up.

"I... I am awake, Donna. Is there something?" I question sleepily, my eyes barely open as I try to adjust to the morning sun.

"You need to get dressed as soon as possible, the Vinsmokes are about to leave! You need to say goodbye to them! Your sisters are already there!" She explains. My eyes are shot open as I hear this, realising that I need to say a proper goodbye to Sanji before he leaves.

I sigh as I walk down the corridors, where Reiju and my father have been waiting for the past minutes, my brothers still trying to wake up. I arrive at the main hall, and notice the presence of Y/N's sisters. And sadly my sister and father too. But where was Y/N? Isn't she supposed to be here with her sisters? Will she even come down to say goodbye? Did I say something bad to her last night? Did something happen to her?

Even my brothers arrived, along with Y/N's father, who was having a small conversation with mine. I noticed how the two girls wouldn't take their eyes off my brothers, but would frown at the sight of me. Did Y/N think the same way?

I quickly throw my blanket off myself and rush to my wardrobe to get a dress.

"I think I forgot to mention that your mother wants to have a word with you after the guests are gone." Donna adds while I put the casual dress on. I grab a corset as I scurry out my room, Donna trying to catch up to me. I run trough the corridors while I tie my corset. Just as I finish, I arrive at the main hall, the others already being here. I straighten my back as I stand next to Daniela.

I let out a deep breath as I notice that I was not late, my mother not being here yet. I look trough the leaving Vinsmokes, until my eyes stop when I get to a certain blonde. A small smile creeps onto my face as I send a barely noticable wave towards him. He notices it and warmly smiles in response. Just then, my mother arrives, grabbing the attention of everyone in the room.

After a long speech from my mother, we walk outside to the entrance door, watching as the Vinsmokes get into the carriage.

"Goodbye, prince Sanji!" I call out to him just when he is about to step into the carriage. He turns back and gives a little wave as he says the words "Goodbye, princess Y/N!" before getting in.

"Goodbye, princess Y/N!" I reply to her. I did not want to leave her here. Deep down, I felt sad, the memories of these past days flowing back. My father always ensured that I don't feel valued, so did my brothers, I was getting so used to it at this point that I almost forgot what it felt like to be loved. She, however, reminded me of this feeling, something I have not felt since the passing of my mother. I ended up being really fond of her at the end, and I felt geniuely happy with her. And she will likely not even know it...

We watched as the carriage left until it was out of our view. My sisters and father went back inside, and just as I was about to do the same, my mother stopped me.

"Not you, Y/N." She says in a menacing tone. "We need to talk. Follow me."

She enters the dining room, and sits down at one side, and motions for me to sit on the other. At first, there was an awkward silence between us, until my mother broke it with clearing her throat.

"I see you warmed up quite a bit to the Vinsmokes" she starts. I stay silent, waiting for her to continue, despite already knowing very well where this is going. It's about the wedding, isn't it? I knew it. "You are likely familiar with the things that come with being a princess. Me and your father have been receiving threats lately, and decided to join forces with House Vinsmoke in an attempt to scare these scums away. And the only option for that is to marry. It is tradition that the oldest children marry each other, which means that you, the eldest child in our family, will be soon getting married to Ichiji Vinsmoke, the eldest child in the Vinsmoke family."

There it was. She said it. I fully expected to hear this, but actually hearing my mother say it out loud hurt more than I thought it would. There must be another way...

"Mother, I must protest. I feel like it is time to break these traditions, since my sisters would gladly marry Ichiji Vinsmoke, while I do not wish to do that." I look my mother in the eye, waiting for a reply.

"And why do you refuse to marry him?" She stares at me with her usual cold gaze being even colder. I could sense that she did not like that I talked back.

"I do not love him, mother. I wish to spend my life with someone who cares about me and respects me, and Ichiji Vinsmoke is not this person. I am convinced one of my sisters would accept the marriage. He is nothing but a jerk." I try to keep my composure, hoping that she will send one of my sisters instead of me. It's not that I hated my sisters, I love them dearly. I was not planning on sending them there alone, if one of them goes, I would visit them every week. But I would not like to spend my whole life there, every day till I die with my asshole husband. But if my sister wishes for this life, then I will let her have it, and this was the chance.

"You think I married your father because I loved him?! I did not escape a forced marriage, and neither will you! It has been settled! I made a deal with Vinsmoke Judge already, the wedding will take place in three months! And this is final!" She slaps her hand on the table as she raises her voice, anger lacing her voice. "Your only luck is that you will get time to get used to the Vinsmokes! A carriage will take you to their castle tomorrow, and you will spend the remaining three months there. I advise you pack your things now, and enjoy your last day here. Me, your father and your sisters will not visit you. Feel honoured that I even gave you these months and did not tell you about it a day before the wedding." She shouts as she furiously gets up from the chair and closes the door behind her with a big thud.

I felt as if I have been stabbed trough my heart, holding back tears. Were these tears of sadness? Anger? Frustration? I had no idea, but it was definitely not joy. I knew this was coming, why did it hurt so much then? I totally expected it, still, when mother announced it, deep down I felt somewhat shocked. Why can't one of my sisters get married instead? I'm sure Cassandra would kill to be in my place right now. Am I really going to spend my life locked inside a castle with monsters? Will they experiment on me too? And what about Donna, my greenhouse, my horse, my sisters? Will I need to leave everything I love behind?

I quickly get up from the chair and run trough the corridors, tears threathening to fall as I shut the door of my room as soon as I enter. I could just hope that nobody opened it. My legs shake as I lean on the door with my back, slowly ending up in a sitting position with my arms hugging my knees closer as I taste the salty flavour of tears at the sides of my lips, the quiet sobbing turning into something louder. I knew it was coming, and I still react to it like this...

The temperature seemed to drop in the throne room as the blond boy lifted his gaze to the man in front of him, the Germa King's long, white hair falling around his shoulders as the man glared at the young man.

It had been 4 days since Ayato had arrived at the castle (one of those that he passed unconscious) from the Germa kingdom, 4 days since he last saw his family, 4 days since he was imprisoned.

"You're not deaf" Judge says getting up from his throne. Ayato notices how not all the princes were present when Reiju turns her face and Ichiji remains motionless. Yonji was undergoing "maintenance" while Niji refused to meet his nephew. Better that way, thinks D.

"Unfortunately" Ayato complains still trying to process what the king had just told him, since he woke up only Reiju tried to approach him and he preferred it that way, the woman was nice and maybe she could find a way for him to return home

"Continuing what I was saying"

"Please don't" Ayato rolls his eyes and the princess can't help but give the slightest smile remembering her brother and a certain boy in a straw hat. He really is his parents' son.

"Your father is not viable for the Kingdom" Judge ignores the boy as he walked towards him who was standing with his arms crossed "I tried to bring him back to the family but he ran away like the ungrateful worm that he is. But you don't have to be like that, you can be what he never was"

"Pass" Ayato nibbles on his fingernails trying to stay calm as he feels anger boil up inside him. Remember what Aunt Robin said to Ayato, when a D loses his temper it's easy to bring him to ruin, the boy thinks, pulling out a little skin in the corner of his nail.

"I'm not asking" Judge holds the golden rings that Ayato had around his wrist swinging the boy's arm, Reiju didn't explain to him what they were but made it clear that he should be careful with them "Try to get out of here to see what these things can do, not even your father dared to try"

Ayato's gaze dropped to the gold rings that were still being held by Judge, they were thin but felt so heavy all of a sudden. His eyes widened, the glare fading as the meaning of the words became clear.

He thought of his father, imagined his kind, loving, loyal, selfless father in this very hall. He thought of the free cook in the same golden handcufs, thought of the fear in the proud pirate's eyes.

"You son of a bitch" the pirate says in a tuneless voice pulling his hands that were shaking, the hatred burning and being seen in the angry eyes of the D. Judge in a quick movement hits the boy in the mouth

"I'm your grandpa, look how you talk to me" Judge prepares to turn around as Ayato clenches his hand into a fist, the uneven, bitten nails scratching the skin

"not my grandfather" Ayato whispers and moves slowly by taking a step forward, his left hand wiping away the tears that have formed.

"Enough with that bulshit, Vinsmoke Ayato"

"That's not my name" Ayato says again in an almost whisper raising his head to Judge who had stopped in front of him again.

"Your father is a Vinsmoke, even if he is a failure, you are a Vinsmoke and a pirate bitch's last name is not going to change that"

It happened so fast, no one had time to react as Ayato grabbed the much taller man by the collar of his shirt forcing him to bend over to the point that the two's eyes were on the same level

The sound of something breaking echoes through the hall seconds before Ichiji grabs Ayato by the arms pulling him away from Judge. The blond boy's wrists were free, the pieces of rings lying at the king's feet.

so. tumblr user baashu. i saw that you were in a ronami mood on Bird App. so. hear me out, maybe. robin, nami, and reiju all have a sleepover (emphasis on the Sleep part, but no one other than those 3 has to know that ;]) on the sunny!! reijus visiting, as she does

and sanji, hearing about this so-called sleepover through the grapevine, decides he's going to be a good nakama and little brother and surprise them with their favorite snacks and drinks!! sleepovers are always better with good provisions, especially for ones that go all night long

however. sanji was not expecting to open that door (yes it was unlocked for plot purposes and he didnt knock because he had like 7 different plates in his hands let me HAVE this) and see his 3 favorite girls going down on one another.

that boys cigarette fell STRAIGHT out his mouth- a tiny noise escaping him as all 3 girls heads snapped to look at him. he was ready to bolt SO fast, throwing the food he made as gently as he could onto a nearby counter and saying sorry about 40 times per second. he wasnt even halfway out the door before an array of arms sprouting from the floor dragged his ass towards the bed

you KNOW those girls are (lovingly, teasingly) bullying him the whole time, calling him sweetly degredating names. yet they refused to do more than that- not allowing him to touch/participate and yet refusing to let him leave the room

nami calling him a pervert, talking about how for every minute he's in there he gets 5% more debt added to what he already owes her (reijus head was between her thighs as she said all this, btw). robins flirtatiously scolding him about bad manners, leaning over to run her fingers across his cheek and neck as namis head layed on her naked lap. and reijus mouth was too busy to comment, but every once in a while she let out a giggle of agreement when one of her other two partners said something that really made blood drip out of sanjis nose

and once pretty boy was all hot and heavy, the only reason he was locked in place being the disconnected arms restricting his movements? they all take their sweet, sweet time in pleasing him.

AND HES NOT FUCKING COMPLAINING LMAO. this idiot got not one, not two, but THREE hot women to dom him, somehow, by just showing up at the right time. he's taking everything they put him through in stride, whether that be sudden overstimulation or tortuously slow edging, he's loving All Of It

they go the rest of the night until the sun is halfway up, the only reason they let him go being because if they didnt, luffy would come barging in, asking when and why breakfast hadnt been made

A small puff of smoke escaped from Sanji's lips as he stared out the window that was keeping him away from the outside world. It was his decision that brought him here for the sake of keeping the people who were important to him safe. They had threatened Zeff, they had threatened his home. They had threatened everything that Sanji wanted to protect while it was unknown if he actually would be able to return or not.

He didn't think that this was how he could cross paths with the people who were once his family. People that Sanji hadn't thought about in quite a long because of the promise that was made between him and Judge. Not that he would claim Judge as his father, he knew who his father was from the moment that Zeff started to raise him as his own. It was Zeff who cared about him, it was Zeff who helped Sanji become the person that he was today after he was able to escape from behind those gray-colored bars.

He needed to do something to avoid from having to deal with the arranged marriage that had been thrown at his feet. A decision that Sanji was unable to make for himself because Judge finally remembered that he had another son. A son who was easily seen as the black sheep of the family because he was a failure in their eyes. A failure because he did not turn out the same as Reiju and the others did, it was just a normal, weak human to them.

While it wasn't a lie that it felt great to stand up to his siblings and father, it still wasn't going to help the situation that Sanji found himself in. He was the reason why Yonji's face had been beaten because of the strength that lingered within his legs, something that he didn't regret doing. He had warned Yonji to leave him alone, but his younger brother apparently didn't want to listen which caused the beating to happen in the first place. It was exhausting to deal with his family, the only person who had his trust was Reiju. She wasn't like their brothers. She wasn't like her father.

It seemed that he managed to gain another ally though while he really didn't know if he could actually trust the man yet or not. Rosinante was an interesting character though who didn't hesitate to talk to Sanji once he realized he was here, the question was why? He knew that the fame would be there because he was apart of Luffy's crew, but it seemed that Rosinante had a plan in mind for unknown reasons. He hadn't had the yet to truly pry into the other yet about why he was here in the first place. Did he have a plan in mind? What was he trying to do?

"Did I? It feels like I've done nothing, but stand here so far waiting for this wedding to happen."

That has been drilled into all of them multiple times by their father that Yonji had really stopped caring about it. No what he had eyes for was the real treasure in the room. Sure Pudding was beautiful and he would definitely have taken her... but this one was the real deal.

This one was the one that he was definitely going to take as his own.

But first he needs to make sure that the other two bozos of his brothers don't try and take up all the spotlight and attention. How dare they! They knew that he had claimed this one!

With gritted teeth, he started to stalk up to where the other two were crowding around his treasure when a slim hand grabbed at his wrist. "what!?" he snapped ready to tear off the arm of whatever pheasant had dared to touch him only to stop at Reiju's stone smooth stare. "Don't make a scene now." she said before walking off, leaving Yonji to seethe at the situation and shoot daggers at his brothers with his glare. The other two definitely knew what they were doing when they sneered back at him and started to lead HIS treasure to a dance. With a growl he turned back to Reiju. "Oi."

"...what is it now?" "I wont make a scene... but I want those two out of the scene." At Reiju's frown he knew he needed to make a deal with her. "I'll distract father so if you want, you can try and talk to you precious Sanji before he gets married." That seemed to do the trick. "Bear in mind, you'll need to suffer for it too." "Hah! I can take 100 times worse a punishment than them" With a nod, he saw Reiju move over to the table where they were to eat. He got the plan. Waiting for an opportune moment, he pounced, going over to his brothers and telling them to sit down before the party starts and before father noticed them goofing off too much. Petty threats like that always worked, and while the two bozos sat down, he went searching for his treasure. "There you are." He said finally having found them. "Don't think I didn't notice you flirting. Did you like their attention? Did you plan for it? You know your wearing green right?" He made his way closer and closer, reaching forward to grab their neck. So fragile compared to his modified strength. "I'm sure they're learning their lesson on not to touch what is mine-" Reiju wouldn't go back on her words he knew. "-But it looks like I'll be teaching your lesson personally"

Your request was ok! It was a real challenge to write this since the Whole Cake arc was really, really complicated and every time Reiju appears it’s an important scene in the story, but I love her <3. Hope you like it!

The first encounter with the Germa 66 was completely unexpected. No one was mentally prepared to meet Sanji’s family when they made their appearance. Not when your captain was just about to die from poisoning. It was even more shocking when the pink-haired woman jumped aboard the Thousand Sunny, landing just a mere feet away from you, besides Luffy’s body. Her blue eyes scanned his body, quickly identifying the venom in his system. Your own gaze focused on her form, wary of what she could do, but at the same time mesmerized by her astonishing beauty and elegance. 

An audible gasp left your mouth when she lowered her head and began sucking the substance from your captain’s own mouth. It was a rollercoaster of emotions: admiration, for discovering someone capable of kissing him, of all people. Disgust, for seeing someone kissing him. Annoyance, at Chopper and Brook obnoxious screaming. Worry, for not knowing what the poison could do to her body. Confusion, when the wings in her attire began to react and the rash appeared in her cheeks. Her cheeks… You couldn’t help but wonder if her skin was as soft as it looked, making heat rush through your own.

Once she broke the contact, your eyes darted to her parted lips as steam seemed to escape from her glossy mouth. This didn’t go unnoticed by her, so as she stood up to allow Chopper to examine Luffy, she was looking directly into you, winking once she presented herself as “Poison Pink”. The world seemed to have stopped for a brief second. You simply stood there while your crewmates cried over Luffy’s miraculous recovery. “Did she just wink at... me?” A strange sensation settled down in the pit of your stomach, wondering why she noticed the woman with the most ghost-like aura of the entire crew. You didn’t even have a bounty to begin with.

Almost fainting at your own thoughts, you quietly listened to her interactions with the rest of the crew, secretly hoping that she could direct her attention to you once more. But you had to concentrate, you were currently on a mission to save Sanji, her brother. This wasn’t the moment to fall for your heart’s desires.

Despite your brief moment of determination, all you could think about was her silky looking hair, her long, defined legs, her beautiful blue eyes, and her plump, seducing lips. Getting her out of your mind was going to be harder than you thought.

And it was. Even after all you went through the following days, running into Pudding herself, trying to cross the Seducing Woods without dying in the hands of Cracker and Brulee or even when you witnessed the heartbreaking fight between Sanji and Luffy, you found yourself constantly thinking about her, sneaking glances in her direction, secretly hoping that she would interfere once again. But she didn’t. 

You barely managed to slip away from the gruesome encounter against the Charlotte family without being noticed. Too discrete to be caught, yet too tired to run too far away. You barely managed to hide beneath some of the severed remains of King Baum before collapsing to the ground, consciousness slowly leaving your body while you could only watch your crewmates being brutally crushed and captured by your enemies.

Heavy drops of water constantly fell on your face, managing to wake you up in the middle of the night. I took you a few seconds to remember what happened and where you were, scanning your surroundings to make sure it was safe to get out. With trembling limbs, you managed to quietly get up, still wary in case someone saw you. Fortunately, it was too dark and rainy to be seen, so you decided on being brave, making your way to the castle in an attempt to find any of your currently lost crewmates.

“This is my lucky night!” you thought, as you soon found yourself just a few meters away from Pudding’s own bedroom window and right in front of her, was the woman of your dreams: Reiju herself, but your hopes quickly shattered when you saw the bleeding wound in her leg and the brunette laughing in her face. You couldn’t even process what you were seeing before sensing footsteps coming in your direction. Quickly enough, you hid between the bushes nearby, surprised to see a gleaming Sanji with a bouquet of flowers and a basket.

Your heart clenched, he had betrayed your captain, no, your entire crew just this evening, and now he seemed so happy… And to add more to your feelings your crush was also injured and trapped inside a room with a potential psychopath. Unaware of your presence, Sanji began paying attention to what was going on inside the room, and so did you. 

The truth came crashing into both of you like a meteorite. Damn Pudding and her lunatic family. Now not only were your crewmates in danger, but the entire Vinsmoke family was planned to be murdered. You knew there was no way out of this situation if you were to continue being separated, so you hesitantly took a step out and showed yourself in front of the blonde. His soaked eyes met yours in silent, mutual understanding. No words needed to be said in the moment.

Eventually, Sanji helped you get inside the castle. He was a bit shocked that you had already met Reiju, and his mood lightened a bit when you told him you had a crush on his sister, happy that at least you found someone as trustworthy and good hearted as her.

After sneaking inside the infirmary, Reiju soon woke up, surprised to see you and her dear brother there, but then she remembered her injured leg. Then, Sanji and Reiju exchanged what they both knew. It felt awkward for you, this was a matter that involved them as a family, you didn’t even know what to say, glad that for now, they had seemed to forget about you. During these few minutes of them talking, you learned more about both of them than you had ever dreamed of. The way Reiju spoke her mind about her family and her wishes for her brother, only made you fall deeper for her.

A smooth voice brought you out of your daze “Hey, are you alright?” Lifting your head, you realized that Sanji had already left, too busy with his own mind to even remember you were also there. You felt your cheeks burning at the realization that you were now alone with the very same woman who had been plaguing your mind this entire time. Shyly, you averted her eyes, she was quietly observing you, her magnificent eyes scanned your form. Once again, you were in an awkward position, what were you supposed to tell her? You certainly weren’t fine, every muscle in your body was sore from running and passing out in the ground under a tree, your poor heart had also felt too many strong emotions, which brought you to the verge of tears again.

With a kind smile, Reiju motioned you to walk over to her bed. Curious of what she could possibly want from you, you swiftly approached her, almost tumbling over when her hand suddenly grabbed your arm and bent you over to her face level. Your shocked expression amused her, making her release a soft giggle before tenderly cupping your face with both hands.

“How rude of my little brother to leave behind such a lovely lady” Her right thumb began to slowly rub your skin, giving herself time to think what to say next, but before she could continue, your mouth moved on its own. “May I give you a kiss?” Not expecting her to take you seriously, your surprise was big when her soft, warm lips pressed against yours. The contact only lasted a few seconds, but to you, it felt like traveling to another dimension and coming back.

“I certainly didn’t expect you to be so bold, but I’m glad you asked. You’ve been living in my mind ever since we met the other day. Maybe it’s just a momentary thing, maybe it can be something else, but as you already know, everything will end tomorrow for us.” You quietly listened to her words, understanding what she meant. “I think you should go, perhaps you can catch up with Sanji in the hallways. You need to reunite with your friends. Please, take care, and take care of my dear brother as well” A sigh left your chest once she finished.

Taking her hand into yours, you deposited a small kiss on its back, muttering a soft “As you wish, my princess” before heading to the door.

“Wait. As my last wish, I want to know your name.” 

Without turning, you simply said “I’ll tell you tomorrow” and walked out the door. 

Your mission was now to find your crewmates and stop the wedding at all costs. It wasn’t an option.

Reiju

She'd be excited, but also worried. The thought of being a mother along with her s/o is indescribable, and for the first time in a very long time she feels a swell of happiness thinking about her family. 

But then...she thinks about the rest of her family. Would her father want to use his grandchild as a test subject like his children? Would her s/o and her child be safe around her brothers? They're emotionless and use violence and intimidation to solve most of their problems; what if they got annoyed by their niece/nephew crying, or if they bullied her pregnant s/o just for fun? 

She'd have a long talk with her s/o and make a plan to run away for good if Judge does end up wanting to "modify" her child, and she tells her s/o to come to her immediately if they start to feel unsafe around her brothers. She'll do what she can to hide her anger and bide her time if that happens, but she'll have no doubt in her mind that she'd leave them behind for good if it meant her s/o and her child would be safe and happy.

Ichiji

Immediately goes to brag to Judge and his siblings that he's going to be a dad. Probably tries to use it as an excuse to get something like a "promotion" or rewards from his dad, though as the eldest brother and #1 in Germa 66 he really can't get any higher up in the chain as long as Judge is in power.

He likes the idea of a little version of him walking around, and he has the royal tailors make an outfit for his unborn son that's basically "Baby's First Raid Suit". He even has a pair of red-tinted sunglasses made for them so they can match!

Insists on carrying his pregnant s/o everywhere, and is more protective of them, but he says he isn't doing it out of a sense of kindness on his s/o's behalf--it's more about "protecting his property" in a way, since they're "his" AND they have his kid in their body. What can I say, the Vinsmoke brothers aren't very sympathetic. Or caring. Or healthy partners. And even if he did genuinely care for them, he sure as fuck isn't going to tell them that and risk feeling like he's going soft or is weak for having emotions. 

Niji

He's the least "emotional" about it, at least on the outside. He'll brag to Judge and hold it over the others that he made an heir first, but apart from that he doesn't show much attachment to the actual kid in question--at first.

He'd spoil his s/o to "congratulate" them for giving him an heir, and he's as protective and possessive as Ichiji is. He's more openly affectionate though, and will be more willing to do things to make his s/o feel better (even if it's something he doesn't want to be inconvenienced by, like escorting them somewhere or massaging them, he'll still have the servants do that for him)

It doesn't really hit him that he's going to be a father until he feels the baby kick for the first time. And for someone who isn't used to feeling emotions, that little spark of realization...freaks him the FUCK out. He doesn't like feeling like this, so unsure and nervous and heavy in his chest and vulnerable. He keeps wondering why he cares so much about something, despite being modified to not feel shit like that. 

He might even ask Judge to modify his brain a bit to get rid of whatever was going on to make him feel this way, but I think Judge would say it's not needed (he's a huge piece of shit and unsympathetic as hell, but Judge doesn't think there's anything wrong with being pleased at the fact you're going to have a child--Niji's giving the best nation in the world an heir, and has pleased his father! Of course he should feel pleasure from that, as much as his brain allows him to feel things).

Sanji

When he hears the news, he's so shocked at first that he just stares up at his s/o. And then...the crying starts--happy tears, don't worry! This is the happiest he's ever been, actually. He's going to have a child with the person he loves. They're going to be parents.. He's going to be a father.

Will wait on them hand and foot to make sure their pregnancy is as comfortable as possible. If ____ thought he was a servant of love before, holy SHIT does he kick it up a notch while they're pregnant. Making all sorts of meals to satisfy even the strangest cravings (making safe-to-eat substitutes if they're craving something like pancake batter or coffee, etc.), drawing them bubble baths and washing them every night, setting all their medical appointments with Chopper and insisting on carrying them to the clinic...____ is treated like a deity now instead of simply royalty like before, lol. He talks to their baby every day through ____'s tummy, telling them about how he can't wait to see them when they're born and how much he loves them, and will even talk about his day (referring to his nakama as the baby's "aunties" and "uncles"...even Zoro, though he's called "Uncle Marimo" or "your dumbass swordsman Uncle")

When he first feels his child kick, he tears up. When he sees them on a sonogram, he tears up. He's a lot more emotional throughout the pregnancy, just because he's so excited and in love and HAPPY. There's so much in his heart that it feels physically heavy sometimes, to be honest. 

Also his ideal name for the baby, regardless of gender, would be Sora 🥲

Yonji

The kind of asshole who would make a rude joke about it. ("Ohhh, I was wondering why you looked a little heavier. What, you're not already super emotional, are ya? It was a joke!") 

He's also smug about being the first of his siblings to produce an heir/addition to the royal family, since he knows Judge is going to reward him for it. And he is SO going to hold that over his brothers' heads. They give him shit about being the youngest and thus the"weakest" sometimes (whenever Sanji isn't around), but guess what assholes, I'M the one who made an heir first--Suck it, I'VE got a baby!

Is constantly asking when it's going to be born. No matter how many times his s/o tells him the projected due date, he'll ask almost every day: "When's it gonna pop out?" He refers to his kid as "it" until his s/o or Reiju points out that you probably shouldn't refer to your fucking child as an "it", but he will quit it if it bothers his sister and his s/o that much.

Is constantly talking about the stuff he wants to do with his kid when they're born, even if babies can't...you know, do stuff in general. He's kind of a disaster when it comes to childcare and caring for his pregnant s/o, but he's easily the most enthusiastic and genuinely happy (can he feel happiness? Eh fuck it, "the closest he can feel to happiness") compared to Ichiji and Niji.

Okay but- have you think about just ONE of Sanji brothers being good? Like, Ichiji. The most perfect son. The future king of Germa. Ichiji, the first prince. Who has emotions just like Sanji (even if he struggles with them unlike the blonde) and never, ever punched him before, always intenting to subtly stop Niji and Yonji from beating him up. He wishes he could do more, but he can't now.

Until their mother dies and Judge locks his dear younger brother.

It's like something scream to him that he should get Sanji fucking out of here and leave alongside. And he hears. He saves his dear brother and run away, both, together.

And then, both where rescued by Mihawk and the Warlord!Sanji happens, but with Ichiji too.

Unlike the blonde, he really don't like interacting and prefers to stay hidden/with his parents (mostly Dracule and Croc). He gets surprised when the news about Portgas D. "Fire Fist" Ace being Sanji's boyfriend comes out during Marineford, but he helps stop the execution.

God, anon, this is fucking gold I love it. Holy shit. I love your brain. It got out of hand and like Ichiji is too important for it to be just glanced over.

Ichiji who just can't wrap his head around why they're different but knows he needs to protect Sanji and save him. He may be the Crown Prince, superseding his older sister for whatever awful reason and doesn't understand his emotions like Sanji does and Sora tries to help. Ichiji who helps Sanji get patched up when he can't stop Niji and Yonji and Reiju turns her head and scoffs. Then their mother dies.

Then Sanji dies.

Except he's not dead. He's in the dungeon with a helmet and Ichiji feels the pure rage and eventually breaks them both out and breaks the helmet of Sanji who is so much smaller than he should be. They work on the Orbit and when Zeff attacks and saves them on the rock it takes Ichiji much longer to starve than Sanji but he does. They find Zeff who gave his leg for them and their dreams, for Sanji to find the All Blue and Ichiji to be there for his brother and find his way in life.

When Mihawk picks them up he's absorbing the information he is given and suddenly has two kids coming with him to Kuraigana and they're twins but completely different sizes and Ichiji tells him everything about Germa and what's been happening to them. Mihawk is just staring at the brothers in both disbelief and horror and decides he's not going to really let them out of his sight.

The first Warlord meeting they attend with Mihawk, Sanji is still hiding in Mihawk's coat and Ichiji is glaring at them from Mihawk's side with crossed arms. Everyone is looking at the children but the meeting is normal except for the children reading under the table. The meeting takes forever and they fall asleep and Doffy pulls them both out because he's long, not only is he tall he's just long and when he looks at Mihawk because this is some typa shit Doffy has pulled, like he has kids that he acquired somehow.

"Would you believe they're twins?" Mihawk asks dully as Doffy holds them.

"What the fuck did you do to them?" Crocodile asks.

"They came like that." Mihawk sighs.

"Did you buy children?" Boa asks with anger.

"No, I saved them and Redleg from a rock and they came with me." Mihawk responds. The warlords stare at them. "They're also the presumed dead princes of Germa."

"Hawkeye, with all due respect, what were you thinking?" Jinbei asks as he rubs his temples.

"I don't know." Mihawk answers truthfully.

The next meeting the other four have managed to pull together some things maybe the boys will like. Maybe. There's some drawing stuff, more laid back children's books, a book of maps. The boys are staring at them but give their thanks as they settle in for the meeting and afterwards the warlords try to talk to them but Ichiji answers mostly. Sanji hiding behind him, nervous, as the elder talks to the most dangerous pirates of the seas about their dreams.

When Mihawk goes on the job Croc still takes them first. Sanji and Ichiji are enamored with Anna and the bananawanis and they get along great with her and it's actually really nice for them to have a pet, even for a short period of time that isn't trying to kill them and eat them. At some point Ichiji shoots lasers at somebody who got a little too close. No one was hurt but Baroque works is staring at the kid with confusion as Ichiji shrugs them off. When Crocodile asks the only answer he is given is a shrug by Mihawk.

Then Doffy kidnaps them because there's another job and everyone is arguing over the laser kid and his little cook of a brother and who gets to take them. Doffy sees an opportunity and just takes them without anyone noticing and gets them lunch before they leave and he strings along the city making them laugh. Baby 5 and Ichiji love sparring and Sanji is allowed in the kitchen at his pleasure. When Doffy is holding the three of them to put to bed he can feel a weird feeling in his chest and he doesn't like it. He killed his brother he doesn't want to kill them too.

While Jinbei has them he teaches them about meditation and learns a lot about them because he is much calmer than the previous warlords. He calmly takes Ichiji's worry and agression as he trains them. Ichiji is fiercely protective because of their past. Jinbei simply acknowledges this and says he does need to let Sanji move forward, for both of them to be their own person. Sanji says he should find his own dream and as much as he loves Ichiji his life shouldn't revolve around protecting him. Their mother would have wanted him to be free too and if he's tied to Sanji that isn't freedom. Ichiji thinks a lot about that and decides he's still going to protect Sanji or will beat up whoever beats Sanji up. Jinbei laughs full bellied and loud and says that's a good start and asks if there's anything he likes to do. Turns out Ichiji has been getting a lot of use out of the drawing supplies and Jinbei nods. Of course the brothers have picked artistic talents of their own, similar yet distinct enough to be their own.

When Boa gets them she's going to treat them like the little princes they were except they don't really have clothes for boys there. So they're put in dresses and extra flowy pants and shirts. Boa smiling and taking care of them as they adjust to being royalty where it's not a fight to death or being on edge that they're going to be attacked. Boa and her sisters explain that most royal systems are not like Germa. They find they like the styles of the shirts and pants and dresses better than a lot of things they've worn and they have the ability to show their differences because they've mostly just been dressed in the same type of training clothes. So to be able to not be in training clothes or numbered like in Germa is huge to them and Ichiji runs around with Sanji on his back and they're laughing on the beaches of Amazon Lily and Boa smiles as she puts their joy into her mind forever.

They grow up well loved and doing what they love. Perona fully adopts them as her baby brothers and dolls them up. She's four years older than them and takes them out for the boring parts of warlord meetings/parent hand overs. She is the cool goth older sister who absolutely buys them cigarettes. She, Baby 5, and Ichiji have also somehow formed a makeshift gang that follows Sanji much to his displeasure but it's so fucking funny for laser beams to fry a Marine's cap when they're getting a little too close to Sanji. Or when Sanji is working a waiter or dishwasher or whoever. No matter what the parents say.

Except they miss when Sanji sets off and Ichiji pouts on Kuraigana for months. Sanji doesn't call or write and his poster is fucking awful. When he and Mihawk go to Ace's execution after Perona and Zoro arrive and Ichiji avoids him so that he doesn't wig the swordsman out. During the war his transponder goes off from Mihawk.

"Fire Fist is dating Sanji." Is all that's said so Ichiji joins the fray with his laser eyes. They save Ace and Luffy get them out. He goes with Crocodile after the war. Eventually on Karai Bari when the Strawhats and Ace, newly a part of the crew, show up. Ace and Luffy point at Ichiji and say that he's the red Sanji from Marineford.

"So you guys got Dad arrested, and Mama is dealing with the whole Navy thing by herself and Pops is on your crew?" Ichiji asks Sanji.

"On top of waging war against two emperors which one is dead, and the other is just...fucked up, I guess." Sanji nods.

"You have anything cool now?" Ichiji asks.

"I can sky walk and set myself on fire." Sanji nods.

"Fucking shit if Boa sends her damn snake on us, I'm feeding it to Anna." Crocodile grouses.

"There are much bigger things to deal with." Mihawk assures Crocodile. "For example, Fire Fist needs a proper shovel talk and I'm leaving that up to you both." Mihawk says he leaves.

"Oh right." Ichiji grins as Ace looks at Sanji.

"He helped me escape Tottoland, he doesn't need a shovel talk!" Sanji defends.

"Wrong." Crocodile and Ichiji retort as Sanji sighs and everyone starts asking who the fuck raised them.

Thoughts on Reiju? Actually, I'm curious about your thoughts on the Vinsmokes in general but I lowkey stan Reiju and hope she escapes her shitty family too someday.

my first thought on reiju in absolutely any circumstance is ‘wow wife me’ but like, beyond that-

i think reiju is a very sad character. she was born into a family where she was basically commodified as a weapon, lost her mother, turned herself into a full-on stepford smiler to avoid abuse, sent the only living family member she could actually relate to away for his own safety, and grew up affectively alone in a loveless family committing such brutal atrocities that by the time we see her in canon she’s basically suicidal, judging by her reaction to learning the truth about big mom’s plans for germa 66. 

on one hand it really is sad that she remains with them when she obviously hates them and what they do, but on the other hand it makes sense from her point of view- where else would she go? that’s her family and her whole life, and given the massive guilt complex she has, it’s pretty clear she thinks she deserves whatever they get as well. which, obviously, just makes it sadder. get this woman some therapy please. 

i don’t have a lot of thoughts on the vinsmokes in general as characters besides reiju. when i was just starting whole cake island someone asked me my thoughts on them and i was like “they’re garbage but reiju is cool” and i'm still pretty happy with that analysis. 

with regards to judge and sanji’s brothers, they really don’t have a whole lot of depth or personality to talk about, and in the latter case at least, it’s 100% justified and intended in canon. the difference is especially obvious when compared to the depth of personality that sanji and reiju have, which again i’m sure is intentional. ichiji, niji and yonji are literally built to be void of emotion, and judge, for his part, is kind of a bog-standard shitty abusive warmonger who learns basically nothing from the events of the whole cake island arc, as evidenced by his interaction with luffy at the end of it. they’re boring characters. 

they’re mostly interesting to talk about in their roles as foils to sanji, and that’s basically their role in the story, too. sanji’s brothers in their boring, emotionless cruelty throw everything that’s good and complicated and interesting about sanji into bright contrast. this is especially visible with niji, and his and sanji’s contrasting treatment of the chef cosette. judge likewise foils zeff- zeff is harsh with sanji (and sometimes even cruel, as at the end of the baratie when trying to force him to go) and absolutely sucks at communicating with him, but it’s made thoroughly obvious he loves and cares about him and wants him to chase his dreams nonetheless. judge is all of that harshness but none of the warmth, and holds nothing but contempt for sanji.

all of sanji’s siblings are potential what-if bad ends for sanji himself. reiju is probably something like what he could have been like if he’d never escaped, presuming he survived; his brothers are what he would have been like if sora hadn’t made the sacrifice she did. and they’re both pretty godawful fates. sanji is who he is entirely because of the kindness of others: first sora, then reiju, then zeff. 

i’ve talked before about all the different kinds of fucked-up toxic families in one piece that contrast against the ideal, healthy found family relationship that the strawhats have, but it bears repeating again here, since it’s relevant again with the vinsmokes. you have the donquixote family’s unhealthy cultish devotion; the big mom pirates’ paranoid, fearful disfunction; and now the vinsmokes’ utilitarian, military lovelessness. they’re all lacking what the strawhats have got, and what sanji found with them.

I wanna talk about Whole Cake Island too!

So, I’m reading Whole Cake Island right now. And I have THOUGHTS about Sanji and Luffy’s “”””fight””””. And it’s probably nothing anyone hasn’t said before but I’m gonna write it out anyway.

(TL;DR Sanji and Luffy fight and it hurts because they both go for the throat. Also Nami has been through this shit I am surprised she’s putting up with Sanji trying to leave in the slightest.)

So first, yeah, I’m screaming into a pillow because this shit is rough. Let’s get those personal emotions out of the way first. 

Sanji’s whole thing is that he cares and serves, right? His love language is acts of service and that’s primarily shown through feeding people. When we meet the Vinsmokes (I shall not be referring to them as his family) we see pretty quickly that they are the antithesis to everything Sanji is. 

The men are literally said to lack the ability to sympathize or empathize. Not only do we see this is the case, but Reiju says so herself:

They do not value cooking nor food. Judge tells Sanji to never cook again, Niji wastes food.

And, of course, the brothers have no qualms about hitting women. The whole chivalry/won’t hit a women thing is a huge can of worms I don’t feel like unpacking in part because I don’t feel like I could talk about it without discussing women’s power levels and roles in One Piece. And I’ve already digressed too much.

So yeah, the Vinsmokes are the opposite of Sanji and hold none of his values. In fact, they may be why he holds some of his values, because they are as far from the Vinsmoke’s values as possible.

Okay so the two chapters in particular when Luffy and Nami find and confront Sanji! 

Pretty immediately we see that 1. Sanji was not expecting them, 2. He’s distressed that they’re here, and 3. It complicates things for him.

Like, that is not a face of someone happy to see his friends who have come to save him. That is an “oh fuck” face. (And as a sidenote, yeah, it’s a whole lot harder to sacrifice yourself when you’re confronted with the people you’re leaving behind, HUH, SANJI????)

Luffy’s all happy to see him, feels like they’ve accomplished their goal, doesn’t question that Sanji would want to come back. And he’s got things to do! Like save Wano and beat up Kaido! Chop chop Sanji let’s go on adventures! Plus, I would think that Luffy would also have the expectation of his crew that they understand that no one gets to leave if they’re doing it to sacrifice themselves. He’s already shown he’s gonna come get you and Sanji knows this. Sanji’s first arc with them after Baratie was going to save Nami from Arlong and her self-sacrificial bullshit! Luffy’s modus operandi is saying “Oh, you thought you were in a lose-lose situation and the only solution was to sacrifice your happiness and well being? Fuck that! You’re my nakama, let me save you!”

Both Luffy and Nami aren’t questioning Sanji’s wanting to come with them. They’re here, it’s time to go!

And so then we see the surface level reasons why Sanji would say “No, I can’t go with you.” And we also see that he knows Judge is watching him.

I don't think Nami's buying it either. She's done this. She knows what it's like to be trapped by circumstances, to have your loved ones held hostage. And she did this shit too! She fuckin laid it down, lied to her nakama about it all being a farce in her efforts to keep them out of her dangerous situation! Maybe the words sting, but I think this face of hers is even more from her thinking about how they all know eachother so much more, and know how Luffy wouldn't leave one of them behind. So Sanji must be under some real duress right now. Like, I feel like she could extrapolate a lot from what he's saying because she knows that's not who he is. And because she's tried the same shit. And, I wonder if she’s hurting for him because she knows what it’s like.

Every chance she gets, she reiterates that there was nothing between them, that she doesn’t care about them, that she tricked them, and even uses her supposed killing of Usopp as support of her betraying them. She is desperately trying to get them off this island. Arlong is well covered, we all know what’s up.

And, the parallels are pretty clear for Sanji. He’s got family being held hostage (Zeff, and the Strawhats too), and he couldn’t leave anyway because he’s got explosion bracelets on. Plus he’s got his own self-sacrificial streak (which I could guess comes from being raised in a household where you’re told you don’t have any value and everything you do is wrong-the fact that Sanji still cried at Judge’s rejection of him right before his escape speaks to how as a child he still wanted Judge’s approval and love as a father).

So, he comes out swinging with the thing that we previously established would be the shittiest thing to say, that Luffy rejected the possibility of him saying.

And then he starts on this buckwild speech that is so fucking hammed up I almost questioned if Sanji meant for them to understand the opposite of his words, and was just putting on a show for the Vinsmokes.

Nami only says he’s going too far when Sanji starts insulting Luffy’s dream, which the whole crew believes in and supports. 

Also, as a side note, it doesn’t really make sense to me that Nami would just take on the role of “you’re going too far, you can’t believe what you’re saying!” Maybe Chopper would do that cuz he’s gullible and shit. BUT NAMI FREAKIN DID THE SAME SHIT. I would almost expect a “...” speechbubble from her and later her saying something like “He really tried his best to make that look convincing, didn’t he? He’s not very good at it.”

Nami’s savvy!

But anyway, yeah, Sanji tries to go for the throat to push thme away saying shit about Luffy not being able to become the Pirate King. My first reaction to this whole thing was: 

“WOW HE'S REALLY DOING IT, HUH? HE'S LYING THROUGH HIS TEETH TO SAY THE MOST HURTFUL SHIT HE CAN TO HIS LOVED ONES SO THEY'LL STAY AWAY SO HE CAN SACRIFICE HIMSELF TO STOP ANYONE FROM GETTING HURT”

Usopp has tried to leave too, but his situation was different. His reasons were stated clearly and he didn’t try to pretend that all the shit they’ve gone through together and the bonds they’ve formed were fake. Nami, Robin, Sanji? They try to do the “ah, I never loved you” bullshit. 

But Sanji’s is the first time that from the get-go, the audience knows before the confrontation everything that’s going on for the crewmember trying to fake betrayal. With Nami and Robin, we didn’t learn their backstories until after they tried to push people away. With Sanji not only did we get it beforehand, but when Luffy and Nami show up, we are shown the three pieces of information that Sanji thinks about and that motivate him to push his crewmates away:

His hands (his treasures) are bound and threatened.

His nakama are threatened.

Zeff is threatened.

He’s backed into a freakin corner! And he know’s Luffy’s track record on crew members trying to leave! So he goes for the throat and when that doesn’t work (or for the whole performance he’s putting on for the Vinsmokes) he attacks Luffy.

Luffy says he won’t fight Sanji, and I wonder if this is because of Water 7 and Usopp. That fight was so fucking painful, I wonder if Luffy vowed to never fight someone like that again?

Clearly he isn’t getting through to Sanji, even though, to him, Sanji should know what the deal is by now.

So he goes for the throat himself! Which is honestly just heartwrenching on Oda’s part and pretty unfair on Luffy’s part. Though, when has Luffy ever been fair lol. His whole crew agrees his selfishness levels are above emperor!

Also, throughout this entire encounter we get glimpses of Sanji thinking about the crew and meeting Luffy, which is cool to see his internal world somewhat.When Luffy first shows up. I mean. Look at the pain on his face.

This is not a “we have a difference in ideals and are fighting over it and I’m thinking about how we met because I regret that it’s come to this.” fight. It’s not even a fight. It’s Sanji desperately saying “Please leave before you die because of me!”

Actually, maybe it is kind of a fight of ideals because Sanji is fighting to say “leave me behind I’m not worth it” and Luffy’s saying “yes you are.”

For all the extremely clear things going on emotionally for people in this scene, I’m surprised Oda just left Nami’s responses at this. But, since he did, it means I get to interpret them how I please!

This could simply be read as her feeling betrayed and shit. But again, they all know the history of the crew. This could just as easily be her saying “You went too far.” or “I can’t believe you wouldn’t believe in Luffy enough to come back with us.”

I said she could probably guess at him feeling like he’s stuck, backed into a corner. And if I remember correctly she is aware that the Strawhat’s lives are threatened if Sanji doesn’t comply with Big Mom’s wishes. But she probably wouldn’t guess at the bracelets being bombs and doesn’t know (but might guess) at the Baratie being threatened too. Nami knows all about people who claim “family” as an excuse to hurt and bind you.

But basically, I would think for her, it would be a situation of her feeling like at this point Sanji should know Luffy well enough to know he won’t give up, and to trust Luffy enough to take Sanji home. So why the fuck would he try to play this game when they’ve all seen that it doesn’t work? Why say the most hurtful things he can think of? And why not just come home now?

I don’t think she’s angry at him for the betrayal he’s trying to act out, I think she’s angry at him for the betrayal he’s committing for not trusting the crew to get him out of there.

(Again, haven’t read past this part but I could absolutely see later Nami saying “do you think we acted hurt enough for them to buy it?”)

And then of course, the last four pages of the chapter where Luffy clearly calls bullshit on Sanji, saying Sanji felt the pain of his kicks more than Luffy did. And Sanji is just starting to fucking lose it. (panels from right to left)

Like, Luffy. Chill. It hurts so much! But no, he can’t just call Sanji out. He’s gotta go for the kill, present Sanji with an unacceptable situation he knows he can’t refuse. Or at least hopes he can’t refuse. Because for Luffy, Sanji leaving is an unacceptable situation.

Not only will he not eat (which, god, using that against Sanji is almost too much, fuck, Luffy), but he won’t even fucking move so get your ass back here soon before I starve, Sanji.

To use the two very deeply entrenched facts about these characters this way is sure something, huh?

Sanji will feed anyone who is hungry. He cannot stand hunger, almost.

Luffy eats all the damn time and lots and never refuses food. For him to say “i’m going on a hunger strike, I’m not eating until it’s from you” IS JUST SO MUCH.

Also side note god what cruel people to laugh at Sanji’s pain as Niji and Yonji are doing.

Sanji thought he could get away with thinking he’s expendable (just like Judge has said in every time period we’ve seen him on the page) Luffy flat out rejects that. Sanji is essential, an required part of the crew and a required part of Luffy’s dream. Just like the crew have adopted his dream as a part of all of their own ultimate goals, so Luffy is saying that they are all part of his ultimate goal. He has adopted them into him becoming the Pirate King.

And goddamn if this arc isn’t about found family. The blood of the covenant is thicker, don’t cha know.

Your heart, with it you can feel all the emotions she wasn't supposed to feel. The love, the joy, even the sadness, she watches you with absolute widened eyes. 

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

A small quiet life, away from the Germa, the Government, pirates, everything. She wants to spend the rest of her days with you and watch the love in your eyes with each passing day as the two of you grow older. 

L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

Love. She honestly didn't know what to do with the feeling. If her father and brothers found out that she loved you, she had an idea of what they'd do to you,  and she wouldn't have that. For the longest time she kept it hidden, but she found it quite difficult. Eventually she found her heart not being able to take it, and she took you out of the fortress one day and took you to a small run down island before she told you eventually everything; from her ability to feel some feelings, you feeling love with you, to being terrified of what her family would do if they found out, to what you actually think of her. The two of you sit together in silence, before you take her hand giving her a smile telling her that it would have to be something the two of you would have to go through together. With wide confused eyes she looks at you as you place your hands to either side of her face and press a kiss to her lips. As the two of you part, does she look back at you scanning your expression before resting her forehead to yours with a soft smile. She likes how her heart feels in her chest. 

Robin 

B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

Robin likes your strong desire to make your dreams come to fruition, it's a very dark unjust world you live in yet you're still seeking out freedom and fighting tooth and nail for your dream, she finds that breathtaking. 

Your hands, she loves how they compare to hers and each take she holds them, it gives her reassurance that both of you are alive and that she wouldn't want it any other way. 

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

She sees after Luffy becomes King of the pirates and after their last voyage, the two of you settling down on a quiet island laying in each other's arms while reading a book, ready to spend the rest of your lives with each other hopefully in a very peaceful world. 

L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

It would take a lot to break down her walls and tackle her trust issues. It takes a lot of time and after Enies Lobby she really needs time to further except her own self, never mind a s/o. But the time eventually comes, and when she realizes she's in love with you she fully comes to terms with it. If she was going to be something more with you she was going to have to open completely up, so she brings you somewhere private and tells you everything of her past. You sit there, calmly hanging on every word and as she looks you deep in your eyes does everything around her start to stop and she can't breathe her words slowly become less and less as sobs start to escape her throat. Pull her into a hug, let her let it all out on your shoulder. Robin rarely gets emotional like just and just the sound of her sobs brings tears to your own eyes. Time passes and Robin's crying stops, she just  silently holds onto you taking in your warm around her. Once you hesitantly look back to see her face, dried tears on her cheeks, does she take one look to your eyes before immediately going in for the kiss. It's not that very long, but to you it felt like hours. Once she pulls back she goes back to the embrace with you and tells you in hushed whispers that she loves you.

That you don't complain when she needs you to do stuff for her. No, but she knows she can be difficult to be with sometimes and she really appreciates you for putting up with her and also giving the best hugs and letting her dress you up.

After she finds and brings back Moria from Blackbeard's island (ha ha, uhm good luck with that…) she wants you to meet him, since he's her father figure (poor choice, Perona) and she wants the four of you (counting Kumashi) to all live together on another spooky island (or with again Mihawk, but I don't know at that point I think he's going to want rent) 

L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

She realizes fairly quickly that she has feelings for you, doesn't mean she's ever going to admit them. But with the whole tsundere act she puts on, you can quickly put it together that she likes you. That being said, sorry dear reader you're going to be the one cofessing. It'll be on one of your ventures off of Kuraigana, Perona floating along with you in a small boat looking for anything cute for her collection. Eventually you lead her attention over to a nearby island horse sized baby ducks. The two of you make for shore and Perona instantly takes cooing of the ducks, you watch with a smile. Time passes to the late afternoon and the ducks are called back to join over to their elephant sized mother (which you have to talk down the ghost girl from stealing one) the two of sit down together and watch the sun fall on the horizon of the sea. Figuring this would be the best time from any, you place your hand in the spot that hers would be (going through her projected one) she then looks at you confused before pulling hers away and asks why the hell you did that. You spill out all your feelings and she stares back at you with a frown on her face. You take a few seconds before starting to apologize, figuring you were wrong about her signals only to be interrupted by Perona placing her hands on her hips and going off on how long you had her waiting to confess and that she's completely disappointed with your timing, her face now completely flushed. She floats over and points with one hand back to the boat and the other on her hip demanding:

"N-now back on the boat! I want to kiss you with my real body now!"

I loved your last scenario about introducing Sanji's babies to the Vinsmokes! Could you write a sequel about them going to his mother's grave and introduce them to her as well? Thanks!

This took me forever so I hope it’s good lol This is a direct sequel to the previous scenario where Sanji took his children to his family. It’s also a bit shorter but hopefully you’ll still like it :3

„Well, I’d say that despite everything this wasn’t a totaldisaster.“ (Y/N) cheered while intervening her arm with Sanji’s, her boyfriend’s, who was once again completely focused on the two little bundles in his arms. Hewas busy rocking his baby son and daughter to sleep, but when he felthis girlfriend’s touch his eyes lit up and he gave her an exhaustedbut kind smile.

„All thanks to you, my love. If you wouldn’t have been there, Iprobably would have kicked the hell out of them.“

(Y/N) simply snickered at that. „If I wouldn’t have been there,you wouldn’t have been there either.“ Sanji mockingly nudgedher into the side. „True.“

It has only been a few minutes since they bid farewell to Sanji’s family, but (Y/N) could still sense a certain… tightness in her boyfriend’s body. Probably because of the way his brother’s mocked (D/N) and (S/N), she thought before shrugging it off. He would relax once they were back on board, and she would make sure of that.

Just before they reached the harbor of Germa Kingdom, (Y/N) took asecond to glance down at her children, which were finally fastasleep. That’s good- they had a stressful day behindthem after all. Still, she couldn’t help but feel a bit proud of what they accomplished today, even if her boyfriend thought otherwise.

„You know, Sanji, I start to think that your family might not beas terrible as they once were.“

But once the words left (Y/N)’s mouth she instantly regretted them-Sanji immediately stopped in his tracks and avoided (Y/N)’s glance, staring at the ground instead.Nervous, his girlfriend started fidging around with her hands while searchingfor the right words to explain herself. „I know that what they did isunforgivable, but today I thought I saw… At least some effort.“Uhm, but then again I don’t know them so that might have been mywishful imagination. The air seemed to get colder with each passing second and right now, (Y/N) wanted nothing more than to dig a hole she could bury herself into. A few seconds went by without either one of themsaying a word, before Sanji raised his head again with his eyesfocused on the far away horizon. The sun already started to set, andit was almost dinner time for (S/N) and (D/N).

„(Y/N), there is… Something I’d like to do before we leave.“ Theserious tone in his voice suprised her as well as the sadness that was nowreflected in his eyes. Not to mention that he seemed to completely ignore theembarassing and stupid monologue (Y/N) just had with herself. But when she didn’treply, Sanji continued in a slightly more desperate tone.

„It won’t take long. But there is someone else I want our kidsto meet.“

(Y/N)’s thoughts started to race. Well, this is unexpected… Hewas so against coming here, and now he wants to spend more timearound the people who abused and hurt him?

„Uhm… Okay, I guess?“ (Y/N) was unsure of what to say, butshe knew that she could trust Sanji and his instinct to protecttheir children.

„I… I promise it won’t take long. But it would mean a lot tome if you would be there by my side.“

Sanji’s usually confident voice suddenly sounded pleading andbroken, almost as if he was at the verge of crying. Unable to denyher boyfriend’s request, (Y/N) simply nodded and already turned around to walk back to the castle, but Sanji softly grabbed her arm before shaking his head and leading her into a different direction.

During the entire way (Y/N) wondered on who it was Sanji wouldwant to see, but once they arrived at a single grave with the name„Vinsmoke Sora“ engraved in it, realization struck the youngwoman like lightning.

In complete awe and unable to talk, (Y/N) just stared at the graveand then at her boyfriend. Of course she knew the story of Sanji’smother and her tragic death, but never would she have expected tostand infront of her grave one day. Let alone with her children.

She reached for Sanji’s hand and gently squeezed it, and when heturned his head to look at her she gave him a big smile filled withaffection, love and understanding. A weak and sad smile made its wayon the young man’s face in return, before he kneeled down with (D/N) and (S/N)still sleeping in his arms.

„Hey there, mom… There is someone I’d like you to meet.“ Hisvoice broke down halfway through the sentence and tears filled his eyes before he cleared his throat and turned his children around so that they were facingthe gravestone.

„You probably never thought that this day would ever come,huh… When you would be a grandma.“ Sanji was clearly strugglingwith finding the right words, but his determination kept him going.This was important- not just to him, but also to his little family.They have the right to know about the kindest person to ever exist inhis cursed bloodline, even if they would never be able to meet her inperson.

„This is (D/N)… She is my little princess and I would doanything to protect her…“ (D/N), who seemed to have a pleasantdream since a warm smile suddenly settled on her face, started togiggle a bit in her father’s arm. A smile that radiated with happiness and love spread on Sanji’s face as he pressed his daughter close to his chest before showing his son to the grave.

„And of course (S/N)… He is going to be very strong one day, that’s forsure… But even then, he will always be my little boy…“ Sanjismiled as (S/N) babbled in his own infant language, but it seemed as if he was agreeing to his father’s words.

(Y/N), still in awe at the heartwrenching scene unfolding infrontof her, kneeled down as well and grabbed Sanji’s hand while focusingher gaze on the gravestone.

„I wish I could have met her…“ She whispered, as a wave ofsadness rushed over her. Sora Vinsmoke, the one person besides Reijuwho showed Sanji any kindness during his early childhood… And (Y/N)never got to thank her for playing a big role in making Sanji the manhe now was- an amazing cook, as well as a loving boyfriend and father.

„She would have adored you, I’m sure of it.“ Sanji gentlysqueezed his girlfriend’s hand while smiling at his mother’sgravestone.

“Not just me…” (Y/N) replied while looking deep into his eyes. “I’m sure she is more than proud of what you became and how you continously fought against obstacle after obstacle and… Sanji, I am just so grateful for you.” Tears ran down her cheeks while she buried her face in his chest, right between (S/N) and (D/N)’s faces.

“I love you…” Sanji whispered while gently stroking her head and sending a silent ‘Thank you’ to his mother’s spirit. He didn’t really believe in that supernatural stuff, but right now, in this very moment- he could feel the presence of Sora Vinsmoke right next to him.

After remaining at the grave for a few more minutes, (D/N) slowly started to open her eyes and stretched her small arms letting out a loud yawn. “Looks like it’s dinner time.” Sanji whispered with an amused undertone in his voice, while looking at the darkened sky. A few stars have already appeared and the rest of the crew was probably already wondering where they were.

“Well, I guess then it’s time to go back before the other one starts screaming.” (Y/N) replied and gently took (S/N) from his father’s arms.

“Thank you a lot for coming here with me and the babies, it really does mean a lot to me.” Sanji looked at his girlfriend who smiled and nodded in response, while gently rocking her son, trying to get him back to sleep before they would return to the ship.

But as they turned around to leave, a warm breeze grazed over (Y/N)’sbody and for a second she thought she could hear a woman’s laughterin the distant wind, whispering a silent ‘farewell’ to the little family.
