Because the day is coming up please don’t tag or send me anything related to Father’s Day even if it is an ask for my character. It is a day that I loathe and I don’t want anything to do with it. Thank you.

@theallblue: cont. from X
A simple fever. That was the reason why Sanji had been placed in the infirmary by Chopper and the others for the sake of his well-being. There were a select few who he did trust in the kitchen with the hope that it wasn’t going to be ruined. He unfortunately would not be able to cook for the rest of the crew until Chopper declared that his fever was finally gone. It was frustrating. It was boring, but he knew that the others weren’t going to let him do his duties as a cook until he was back in full health. Sanji spent the time sleeping or reading one of the many books that were aboard the Thousand Sunny already. At least, there was something he could do to help pass the time besides figuring out what meals to make once he was allowed to get back into the kitchen. He couldn’t handle the food while he was sick. His crewmates did come to spend some time with him as a way to help Chopper while he recovered from the sudden fever even though he told them that they didn’t have to. He didn’t want them to get sick. Besides, there were more important things to deal with even though it was nice to have some company. Luffy was the one who was keeping him company this time, but he still couldn’t help with apologizing. He was tired dealing with this fever. He was tired of being stuck in bed and being an unfortunate burden to Luffy and the others. A small exhausted breath escaped from him “Sorry, I’m just tired of laying in bed all day. I feel useless right now.”
Luffy sat crosslegged on the bed beside Sanji. Head tilting to the side to look the other over. He doesn't like the sheen of sweat on Sanji's face. The heated skin fills him with worry. He's not used to seeing Sanji like this. Usually the cook is so healthy.
The captain reached over to the bench sitting beside the infirmary bed. There's a bowl with some water in it. There's a towel on the edge of the bowl. He dips it in the water and wrings out the water. The wet towel is moved to Sanji's forehead. The sweat is wiped away from Sanji's skin before it over Sanji's forehead to cool the hot skin.
Satisfied that it'll help him, Luffy smiles brightly at the other. Leaning down and pressing a kiss to Sanji's nose. The threat of illness has never been a worry that Luffy has. He moved to lay down next to Sanji. Leaning up on one elbow. Stroking his finger down the length of Sanji's nose.
"I know you're bored but Sanji works too much anyway. Now he gets a break." He snuggled up close to Sanji with a laugh. "And you're not being useless, you're talking to me! Aren't you supposed to entertain your captain?"

Somewhat spontaneous pre-plotted starter for @theallblue
A small fuzzy face with a blue nose peered over the kitchen counter to try and catch a peek at what the delicious smell could possibly be emanating from. While Chopper could just ask, the kitchen was Sanji's sacred space. At least, that's what Usopp had told him.
The little deer's nose twitched as he sniffed the air. As good as he was at discerning people by smell, Chopper was clueless when it came to food. So, he had to overcome his fears. He wandered up beside the chef. "What'cha makin', Sanji?" The curiosity in his voice was so blatant despite his attempt at acting casual. "Something yummy?"

𝗙𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗 : 𝗕𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗟𝗘𝗚 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗝𝗜 / @theallblue
i'll make us breakfast.
ace was up way too early. even he himself was surprised that his sleep didn't last as long as it always did. maybe it was because he didn't want to overstay his welcome on his brother's ship. or maybe it was because the constant nightmares hovered over his head every evening. the burden he carried on his shoulders was heavy, too much weight for others to handle normally. spending the evening over a game of chess alone with himself, in his mind and planning his next move where he could go to finally be able to conquer the trail, to find the path of unfinished work. he slipped past his fingers once, causing ace to rot in jail and open the death's door for the former commander. his recovery lasted way too long, and forming an alliance with his brother seemed like the best way to continue the search for this traitor, a murderer who would pay for everything with his own life.
the sun had not yet had time to emerge well from behind the horizon, just an orange glow painting the blue sky with its colors, like a painting on a canvas in which ace stared while leaning his shoulders against the wooden railing of the sunny. a single cigarette was burning in his hand, the expression on the face of the fire fist disgusted, bewildered even. absorbed in his own thoughts, he did not even hear footsteps coming from behind him.
' one day i'll find you. i will make you pay for everything. '
silent thoughts swirled in his head as cigarette smoke slipped past the parted lips with a small exhale. somewhere beyond that horizon, amidst the stretching seas, perhaps at the very end of the world, an encounter awaited him that ace was prepared for. he was going to pursue it to its last days, but for that he had to swallow his honor and pride to let time decide the course of his own fate. cook's voice coming from behind him captured his attention. ace blinked, being thrown back into the reality. his body jerked, a bit and tense shoulders relaxed to give a perfect image of the ever so unbothered ex - commander. a mask he wished to wear so none could need to lift the weight of his own fate. he turned his head slightly to the side, tossing the cigarette into the water before forcing a small, weak smile to appear on his lips. ❝ right, right it's mornin'. can't wait to see what you cook up there sanji. i'm so damn hungry. ❞ a mere giggle escaped, ace stretched his arms with a small huff. ❝ you got up quite early. ❞

@theallblue I give thee random beast pirate oc that will never be seen again after this thread (;
There he was, Blackleg Sanji in the flesh! Or was it Vinsmoke now? Queen-sama did seem so very excited at the opportunity a lone spawn of Judge's presented to him, and it was up to his subordinates to deliver. He'd called for backup a while ago after seeing for himself Page One being decimated and feeling a lot less confident over his odds.
He'd seen that canister in action, something that was also mentioned possibly existing and now he had the proof right before his eyes. His duties were inescapable and now he would have to engage the target and bring him back to Queen or else. He trembled lightly at the thought of those plague bullets. Any fate was decidedly better than that.
As a gifter, he'd been graciously endowed the abilities of a chameleon though the changes of which permanently shifted him into a horrific mimic of what a hybrid zoan form would have allowed. The camouflage he was making great use of to hide among the debris was a safety he clung to in order to not be detected as he closed in. Odd eyes that could circle around in their sockets to see every angle kept a close eye on the strawhat until he felt he could attack with little consequence. Keeping attached to debris with the textured tips of lizard-human limbs, a sticky tongue shot out to wrap around the pirate to pull him closer so that he could hopefully knock him out with one swift blow and end the encounter quickly.
"Stwhat Swanji! Stand down nwow or I won't gwo easy on you!"
#theallblue#smh Kaido won't be here for a while but I love worldbuilding so much#I don't mind playing minor characters to lead to something#and because Kaido isn't here yet dialogue will be dictated differently

@theallblue The room was easily cramped while there was no choice for the crew to rest here for the night because of the events that brought them there. Everyone was exhausted since it had been a tough few days to try and reach the next island, it was never easy traveling by sea though. A lesson that Sanji learned at an early age after he ended up stranded on that rock with Zeff. The sea could be unforgiving even to the ones who knew these waters well, there were many crews out there who had more experience than this crew of reckless pirates. But it was a crew that Sanji was grateful to be apart of since he had gained another family. He had gained friends and the chance to search for the dream he was determined to find even if it seemed to be an impossible rumor. The impossible meant nothing to them though since they were able to overcome the impossible throughout this journey so far. It was unknown what adventure would be waiting for them next though. Sanji was trying his best not to disturb his sleeping crewmates, but sleep wasn’t going to come that easily for him. His insomnia decided to linger heavily on his shoulders despite the obvious exhaustion that was there. He didn’t know if it was best to stay in this room or just leave for the sake of fresh air where he wouldn’t have to worry about bothering his crewmates. It seemed that he accidentally bothered Luffy though because of the sleepy murmur that was thrown his way. “Sorry Luffy.”
Letting out a small breath, he decided to quietly leave the room to make sure that he wouldn’t wake up anyone else who was sleeping nearby. He needed a cigarette to help pass the time. With a flick of his wrist, the familiar cigarette was lit before a puff of smoke passed through his lips. Sanji decided that he would stay here for a bit until he felt like he could finally get some sleep for the night. If he could get any at all.
Sleeping through the night, through storms and gunfire is nothing to the strawhat’s captain. The cozy walls of the Sunny are miles safer than burls and thick tree limbs that made up his beds as a child. At worst the ocean offered a sea beast or unfortunate opposing pirate crew looking for easy targets. He’s sure when they were first gifted the Sunny, sleeping assignments were dolled out but it did little to stop him from climbing into whomever’s bed he thought fit that night. Usually Zoro is the (un)lucky bearer of the curse, said curse being Luffy either curling into his side or limbs spread eagle, personal space a foreign concept to the young pirate.
The girls only spared from their fate by distance.
Tonight he’s drooling on his side, limbs out like a lazy dog with his back against Sanji’s; ignorant of the chef’s struggle or the sleepy murmur that has him evacuating the vicinity. Crusty eyes bead open in the dark, body only seeking to roll over and drag the chef into a sweaty, snore filled cuddle. Instead he tumbles into the warm spot of his absence and that’s enough to briefly lull the rubberman back to sleep.
Sanji’s always so warm.
Awakeness finds him ten minutes later with dry lips and a dryer throat. Luffy bolts up one cheek still warm with drool as he pulls himself out of bed on shaky legs. Surely he’s capable of getting something to drink on his own … all idle beverages behind a padlock however. ”Nanji?” Words slur, weight rolling around on his heels to climb back in bed and rouse the blonde only to find him gone. Midnight snack? Luffy nods along with the sleepy logic and pulls himself up again to stumble out onto deck.
Greeted with calm waves and chilly air Luffy fights to stay in his sleepy lull and take the familiar steps to the kitchen. “Mm?” Eyes bead open, nostrils flaring when they catch the bitter curl of cigarette smoke. “Sanji, why’re you awake? Thirsty?” Mouth opens in a deep yawn, legs carrying him over to white railing to slump next to his chef. “Me too.”

Grabbing this from @theallblue because Ichiji wants to fight
Ever the irritating little brat Sanji was, truly he did not miss him in the least for always being able to grate on his nerves just by existing. Though now there was a newer purpose put in place for him, one that’d finally make their weak little brother useful for once and an opportunity Ichiji would be loath to screw up for his father.
Didn’t mean he couldn’t be curious; he’d heard a thing or two from Yonji when he and Niji had returned to Germa about what Sanji had down to him. Put up a great fight and even managed to damage his face enough to warrant repairs. Even if in every other way Sanji was considered beneath them, there certainly seemed to be one facet he had gotten better at. and that was combat.
Too little too late he supposed.
Choosing to remain looming over his form rather than bend his knees to get more on his level he cast a disapproving look down at him from beneath his shades, frown deepening as he does so.
“You’re right about one thing, I don’t care what got you here so long as you keep within contract.” That being the forced marriage. If he had an ounce of pity in the void of his heart he probably would’ve felt it then but there was nothing, not an ounce of sympathy to be found between estranged brothers.
“What I’m actually curious about is how you managed to put Yonji in such a mood when I returned. He wouldn’t stop yammering on about it so I just had to hear for myself.”
Tilting his head he considered Sanji for a moment of tense silence.
“I’d like to see if you’ve actually grown up a little, Sanji. Follow me out to the courtyard.” He wouldn’t tolerate any other response than a complacent yes.

"--AHEM!" Fake coughing into her hand, orange locks fell around her cheeks as Nami sat in a lounge chair on the deck of the Thousand Sunny.
She was quite tired after mapping out their course to where ever they were next headed, and watched the waves come up against the ship. Stretching, she decided not to speak again, because she was sure she had been heard from the galley.

“Someone has to watch over the ship.” Sleep was a difficult thing because of the tough battle that they recently experienced and the bond he shared with Zoro. He couldn’t help, but be concerned while everyone aboard the ship needed to rest. The exhaustion was there, but rest wasn’t going to come that easily even if he wanted it to. His insomnia was acting up. “I know, I’ve tried to rest but I just can’t.” A small breath escaped from his lips before turning the page of the book that rested in front of him. “Don’t let Chopper catch you.”

Warm Heartstrings
@theallblue: Cont.
The college student found himself standing in the familiar kitchen of the shared space that belonged to him and his roommates. This was how he ended up crossing paths with Luffy which caused the relationship that they did have now. They were a couple while his old man was supportive, but Zeff wasn’t like a Judge who would easily look down on his decisions. It was because of Zeff that Sanji was able to forget about those struggles he used to face quite often while underneath the roof of the Vinsmokes. A name that he didn’t want to be attached to. Sanji tended to cook for those roommates which also helped him in the long run since he was studying to become a full-fledged chef. He had a love for cooking which was something that he shared with Zeff ever since he came across that cookbook. One which was still in his possession because of how important it was to him, a book that brought up a legend which he hopefully might be able to see for himself sometime. It was unknown if it actually existed, but maybe someday he could go searching for it when the chance came Feeling those familiar arms make they way around him, a light smile moved to grace his lips “I’m working on a new dish, do you want to be the taste tester?”
Exhaustion weighted in on Luffy today. While tolerable, it was unpleasant. It was like being covered in a wet sheet that just dragged him down. The need for a nap settled deep into his bones. The smell of cheap pizza from his job. It was kind of a gross, greasy and burnt smell that clung to his hair. He could probably do with a shower.
Still, there was something about pressing up against Sanji that just seemed to help pushed just a bit of the weariness and rottenness of the day from his mind.
He tightened his arms around Sanji. One hand moving up to playfully tug on the other's tie. He leaned up on the tip of his toes to rest his chin on Sanji's shoulder. A smile grew rapidly on his face at the sound of tasting a new dish. Sanji's new dishes never missed, in Luffy's oppinion.
"Sounds great!" He giggled. Head tilting to the side, he bumped his nose against Sanji's jaw. "What kind of dish is it? Is there meat in it?"

@theallblue from here
"You were already standing, friend." Martha had come into the kitchen a little earlier than the rest, wanting to thank Luffy's cook for not minding having an extra mouth or two to feed.
"You sure everything's okay? You don't look steady on your feet." The captain walked over with a concerned expression. "Didnt overheat from being in here did you? I have a crew member who's sensitive to overheating, dont think your captain is much older than they are."

For a moment, she was silent, unable to speak the words that burned her throat. Part of her understood this man's pain — a prisoner whose voice is unable to scream with the inner rage and turmoil one feels inside. Since joining the Strawhats she had seen a lot of things in her days but never anything like this. ❝ —this isn't right. ❞ The words were more for herself than they were for as she tried to wrap her mind around the situation, the mythical evil army. Even in her wildest dreams and despite everything she had heard over the years, she never expected things to be this bad.
It was hard to find the words to say; the things that she should say didn't even feel right to her. ❝ Please, come with me. ❞ She whispered after a moment as she extended her hand out to him. It was times like this that she wished there was a power within her like Robin and Luffy, something that she could use aside from her words and staff to help those in need, especially people who she saw pieces of her old self in. Though this moment wasn't about her, it was about him and being that person who tears down his prison walls, much like Luffy had done for her.
She did her best to hold back her tears and anger as she stepped closer, her gaze softly meeting his. ❝ Let me help you get out of here, we can take you with us on our ship, and you wouldn't ever have to look back. ❞ Her tone was soft, with inflections of urgency accompanying each word that she spoke. She could only hope that her words reached him and would be enough to convince him to leave this place.
❝ My name Is Nami; what's yours? ❞

@theallblue [ ♠️ ] continuation.
Looking at the different skills, techniques and how each individual performed the same activity, it was interesting. The usual silence and lack of even the slightest chatter bothered him. Perhaps he was too used to the fact that when he spent time together with Thatch his mouth practically never closed even if he was preparing such a hearty feast for the entire crew of the Whitebeard. They were always able to talk for hours, and Ace was able to see how the two cooks' technique could differ even if they prepared the same meal over and over again. The way the blonde's fingers worked around the cutting board, was like a dance. The kitchen countertop was a dance floor that Sanji owned no matter what moves he chose to perform.
Ingredients, kitchen knife or vegetables. His slender fingers danced across them, almost mesmerizingly so. Everything he did was refined, even the smallest cut mattered and the harmony of flavors and spices was just an addition to the melodious dish to be served. His way of cooking was more or so focused, graceful in a way. Completely different from the one he saw every day when looking at Thatch. Maybe curiosity was the first degree to hell, but he would never be able to read a cookbook to learn the ways of cooking from it. Practice was the most important thing for him, after all, books didn't teach him how to hunt, all of his combat knowledge, and before, being a captain of his own crew.
Maybe it was just curiosity since Spade pirates lacked a skilled cook. Only miss Banshee made it work for them all the way to the New World when Ace was sailing along with his first gathered crew. He did not dare to speak. Only watch, it wasn't his ship or the crew that waited for him somewhere along with his father amidst the stretching seas. Sanji wasn't talking either, it was a type of silence that Ace did not mind. He was settled near the wooden table, head tilted slightly as eyes followed the skilled hands all the way until the doors burst open with his little brother breaking the ever present silence with a shower of questions about the upcoming meal, being always unpatient. It was kind of endearing to see him not change as the years of their journey flowed. He was exactly the same as he had been when they were kids thrown somewhere into the depths of the jungle.
It caused the corners of his lips to lift, forming a small smile over the freckled darling's features. He was glad he could see him once again. The more the situation went on the more tense it got with the cook's natural scolding, surprising for the Fire Fist to witness the way Luffy didn't question what Sanji was saying. A completely different event that normally never happened. Surprising to witness Luffy who calmed down, did not push his loud persona further and obeyed the requested patience from the cook. His eyes widened slightly, before the expression ceased into a small chuckle. In truth, his crew expressed some of the best care Ace could see. He was not wrong, they were good people, and the best ones to be at Luffy's side.
He leaned back, finally letting out a small sigh with broad shoulders shrugging. Amusing it was so see his brother get a grisp over his overactive way of doing things. Focusing back at the words, the cook finally wishing to speak up Ace simply made himself back comfortable. Since the situation was taken over. ❝ I think it's quite impressive. This is the first time I've been able to see how someone else 'sides me is able to calm his explosive nature. No one has ever done it before so I think that's one hell of a sight after all these years. ❞ followed by a small laugh, his eyes dropped back to the food being prepared once again.
❝ Playin' with fire can be dangerous but Luffy never learned that either. I'm glad you guys take a good care of him. As an older brother I gotta worry about him even a little but seems like ya' can handle him jus' fine. It means a lot. ❞ He paused for a mere moment, placing one leg over the other with arms rested on the back of his head, leaning into the chair. ❝ Your cookin' technique is completely different from the ones I've seen. That's also impressive to me, where did y'learn all of that ? ❞

A clingy Luffy wasn't out of the norm. The rubberman was always happy to be nosy, leaning on crew mates asking what they're doing. Laying his head in laps or settling down for a nap curled next to someone. With the happy return of their chief however he could almost understand it being too much. Sanji was here, with them and in one piece. His mysterious letter didn't matter or sudden departure, his chief was back and clinging to his back like a needy sloth felt right.
It had taken a solid day for Luffy to recover enough from his brawl but the moment strength returned to his limbs he was at the man's side. Sanji is warm and smells nice just like the kitchen full of roasting spices, boiling soups and braising meats again and he couldn't be any happier.
"Lemme taste some?" Head moves from one broad shoulder to the other, round eyes watching the chief's hands with rampant interest. Luffy opens his mouth waiting for his share. "Ya know I tried to cook when you were gone." His mouth pops open again. "They didn't like it." He pouts, gaze darting to three broken burners and scorched backsplash behind the stove. "I think it was ok? Smelled bad, made my tummy hurt aaaand took a lot of tries to get right." His loose grip around his chief tightens, feet re-crossing around Sanji's waist. "We almost starved, ocean was too hot to even fish."

PROMPTS FOR HELPING OTHERS ~ @theallblue
Spoil him rotten, not even a moment on the ship and he was being offered a meal by Sanji. Ace was kinda glad he asked him that, going from point A to point B (in this case, from town to the Going Merry) put an appetite on him. One that rivals Luffy's by the rare occasion, if the slowly rising grin was anything to go by and this thumb lifting his hat up to reveal his face to the chef.
"Sure!" He said enthusiastically. His body leaning back onto the counter as his arm rested beside him as his eyes wandered the kitchen, including Sanji. Still the same as it ever was, and Sanji still looked as healthy as ever. "I'll take whatever's on the menu. Anything planned, Sanji?" He asked, the other hand propped up on the counter via it's elbow as his head rested upon his hand. Whether or not he was being literal with taking the menu was up for guessing.
