1.) Will we measure time in the eternity of hell?
2.) Will there be singing in hell?
Chua and Rehding offer possible insights on these questions:

"I have a friend in Dormont that says the sky went crazy the day the Saviors defeated the King. Like the world was ending kind of crazy, apparently they even saw new shades in the sky? Like shrimp shades?"
"Shrimp shades??"
"Yeah! And apparently the little hat Savior - you know, the one with the eye and cloak and big poofy hat - had something to do with it? I honestly couldn't tell, she was mostly telling me about this crazy dream she had while she was frozen where she got turned into an octopus - "
_________
"Nah, man, it's wild out there. Everyone and their mom are trying to send letters to their unfrozen family and friends, the postal offices and newspapers are gonna be held up for weeks. Your little crazy conspiracy theory isn't gonna go nowhere anytime soon."
"But the people NEED to know!! They need to know that the King is secretly a vampire and that the hat Savior is also secretly a vampire and that's why he's so pale and wears this massive hat - "
"Don't know, don't care. Can you please shut up and get out of the way? I can see the Giroux family coming down the street with a bagful of letters for every single crabbing cousin they have and I need this desk clear of your stupid theories, now."
_________
"Apparently Mirabelle - you know, the Chosen One, blessed by the Change God Itself and all that - is a Cursing of Chateau Castle fan???"
"You're kidding. You're actually kidding. You're seriously telling me a Savior likes that drivel??"
"That's what I said!! Unfortunately, it seems to be real. She even has a signed copy of some super rare issue of it. Rumor has it she brought it all the way to the King, even."
"No way. Did she try to defeat the King by showing him how badly it was written?"
"HA! Change, the look on his face if she did... I would have paid so much money to see it."
(more under the cut!)
"Is it weird that I actually think the King was kinda cool? I mean look at him! He's got those fancy patterns on his chest and gauntlets, big flowing white hair, enormous pauldrons...that crown...."
"He froze you in time."
"And? It was pretty hot guy Sunday of him, I think. Being able to wield Time itself is pretty sexy. Apparently the little hat Savior - I never remember his name for some reason - has the same naturally white hair that he did. I wonder how it feels like to touch...."
"Change, you're insane. Why am I friends with you again."
"Because you loooooove me!"
_________
"Okay, so my running theory is that there is that one of the Saviors got stuck in sort of time loop, and that's why the sky got all weird on the day the King got defeated! Because the King is powerful, but he's not like end-of-the-world type reveal colors type of powerful, and his defeat shouldn't have caused all of that..."
"Wait. Hold on. Run that by me again. Colors?"
"Yeah! Colors! Like those guys figured out that one time! Apparently the shade - sorry, color - that everyone in Dormont saw that day was something called rehd? Apparently our blood is also supposed to be that color, so it's pretty... visceral. So the time loop must have broken that day, and then caused all that crazy color stuff to happen from its breaking!"
"This sounds crazy."
"Colors are crazy, too!"
"So who do you think got ... trapped in a time loop, then?"
"Pfft. Oh, Siffrin, obviously! I mean look at him. Look, I even have a recent photo of him right here, a contact of mine took it when they were passing through Montageneuil."
"...that's a picture of him halfway through eating.... what even is that? Some sort of fritter?"
"Look at him!!! He's so incredibly dangerous. He could totally trap the entire country in a time loop, freezing it even more surely than the King has, nearly bringing the world itself to its knees!!!"
"...he has hamster cheeks. And he's practically sparkling with joy."
"DANGEROUS."
_________
"Rumor has it that Mirabelle met the Change God?"
"Yeah, well, it's not that farfetched. I'd almost be more surprised if she hadn't met the Change God, seeing as she's supposed to be blessed by him or whatever."
"...Or whatever?"
"I mean, it's not like I actually think the Change God actually does anything ever, but you know, whatever works."
"O-oh... so then, who do you think actually blessed her then? Because she can definitely resist the King, she literally beat him!! In a fight!!!"
"I, uh. Hm. Good point, actually."
_________
"I could totally take the Saviors in a fight. All of them. At once."
"No shot."
"No, seriously, I totally could. Listen to me, alright. I'm not talking a fair fight, I'm talking sneaking into their campsite in the middle of the night and then stealing all their weapons, and then attacking them the next day when they're all confused and defenseless."
"The rock-type Savior literally uses his fists. Are you going to steal his hands. Plus, they literally have Craft."
"I'll just invent an anti-Craft bomb! Then I'll be safe from them forever!!!"
"That has never existed in the history of warfare."
"It will! I'll invent it!!!"
_________
"Ah man, the rumor mill is crazy out there."
"You're telling me, mate. I'm getting letters from readers claiming the wildest things about our dear Saviors, ranging from 'Mirabelle wasn't actually blessed by the Change God' to 'Odile is secretly an evil mistress and the rest of the Saviors are actually her puppets."
"So... are you planning on posting any of them?"
"HA! Absolutely not. They have a whole country on their side, sure, and they've proven their strength in their own right... but that doesn't mean I'm gonna let any old shmuck run all over them. Save the conspiracy theories for the tabloids, not for the newspapers."
"You seem surprisingly determined about this. Did something happen?"
"..."
"...my daughter was in Bambouche when - when the King struck. She got lucky, sure, she was safe, sure, but she was still - She."
"...Ah."
"So. There's not a whole lot I can necessarily do for the Saviors, especially since the Saviors seem hellbent on refusing any real monetary rewards for their work. But I can make sure that idiots like these don't destroy their crabbing reputation by refusing to give them the time of day. They saved the entire country. They saved my daughter. It's the least I can do. Does that make sense?"
"It does, yes."
"Good. Now get outta here! There's plenty more work to do, you know. The biggest crabbing newspaper in Vauguarde doesn't run itself."
quite honestly id love to be in the isat universe only to hear the rumors people would spread about the saviors. the gossip.whatever
#isat#in stars and time#isat spoilers#isat post-canon#my favorite thing is writing people that accidentally nail the truth but the truth is so ludicrous nobody actually believes them#and then there's vampire guy. vampire guy is still sending his conspiracy theory to every newspaper in vauguarde#and getting summarily rejected by every single one#also i imagine the last guy to be like the gruff ceo of The Vauguarde Times#the largest and most highly respected and influential newspaper in vauguarde so what he's saying is REALLY important
