Actually, let me talk about these two Pony Brides for a moment. The left one I did to sell and she has tinsel. The right one I did by request and she does not have tinsel.

They have the same colors of hair, except I did the outer row of the mane and upper segments of the tail of the one on the right in white to soften the colors even more. It worked out great. The semi-transparent white blended perfectly into the pastels.

Rosedust Restoration

She had: No Hair, Missing Wings.

I got this lovely bait from cowbrain on the MLPTP. First I gave her a little scrub

Then I rehaired her. Using fading pink of course, "Rosedust" from shimmerlocks. Very fun when I get to use the hair a pony is named after on the pony itself. I used Tropical Breeze as the hair length reference. (5.5 inch tail, 5 inch mane)

Afterwards I glued the head on and got to making the wings! The wings follow this tutorial. The glitter polish I used this time has a pink/gold kinda undertone, which I think works well for her colors but is a little hard to see on camera.

Then all I had to do was glue the wings in (I learned my lesson about not gluing them last time when tropical breeze's fell out LOL) and styled her hair.

I'm auctioning this adorable re-rooted 1980s My Little Pony named Milky Way. I've replaced her short white hair with long lilac and pink colored nylon hair and iridescent tinsel. If you don't already collect these cuties, you are missing out! Take a look!

Woo hoo, alternate rehair time! This girlie was rehaired in one day in order to make it for a deadline in the rehair group! 🤣 The challenge was to rehair a Minty, any gen, and I decided to go for a G3 since I don’t rehair them very much! I was lucky that she wasn’t too hard, since some of them aren’t very squishy! I was drawing a blank on what color to use, and I ended up going for my recent dyed hair, which is Rit Dyemore on Shimmerlocks Angel White! I like to let the dye rest a bit longer, so since I didn’t, while I was rehairing her my fingers got a little purply! 🤣 But I managed to get some nice curls in there, and I am very happy with how she turned out! 💚

They didn’t have any more minty so I got this slightly wing pink.

Now to decide if I want pink bangs or mint bangs and a pink stripe in her braids.

Custom Yarn Rehair for Pinkie Pie!

No Wip photos this time because I really did finish her in 15-20 minutes. I did it same idea as normal hairing (take a strand of yarn and press the middle into a hole) but one yarn piece at a time, putting glue on the hair too, and i used a bobby pin to push it in because obviously needle too small and idk if her head is hollow. I also did two piece of yarn per hole

These are the hair colors I’ll be using to refresh the Kitties’ hair. All are nylon from Shimmerlocks.

Bangles & Bows might be slightly darker than Chase’s original medium pink, but since it all fell out there’s no need to color match it exactly. I’m not sure Starlight Steel will be dark enough. Other than that, I’m very satisfied with the matches.
