First of the Bones Rises – RP2350 Adalogger 🦴
With the RP2350 chip in wide distribution , we're now able to come up with a lot of variants of our popular RP2040 "Bones"
https://blog.adafruit.com/2023/01/22/rp2040-feather-bones-for-a-few-different-varieties/
that ended up becoming a dozen different boards.
We're starting with the 'Adalogger' design folks love: with a microSD card socket that is wired for SPI or SDIO. A separate regulator allows the I2C/uSD to be powered off completely for ultra-low power usage. This didn't make as much sense for the RP2040 because it was not a particularly low-power chip. There's also a Stemma QT port for plugging in external sensors.
What other "Bones" should we spin up?

Imagine this: You meet Chavez and the gang for the first time and while you’re listening to what the others are saying, you catch a glimpse of Chavez subtly checking you out. 😶

Chevron Deference was just killed
40 year old cornerstone of regulators and agencies overturned in a case where a fisherman challenged a fee.
No more deferring to experts when clarification is needed.

“I noticed that in Grayditch there was a location by the metro that would always spawn Talon Mercs or Regulators whenever I reached a certain karmic plateau.
I kinda loved this because I could slink away and hide without them seeing me... and THEY would have to deal with the giant firebreathing ants.

Binance also operated in the state of Heisenbergian uncertainty, sometimes known as Malta. Malta has a substantial financial services industry, which welcomed Binance with open arms in 2018 and then pretended not to know him in 2020. This continues Malta’s proud tradition of strategic ambiguity as to whether it is an EU country or rentable skin suit for money launderers. ¿Por qué no los dos? Despite this, Binance would continue claiming to customers and other regulators for a while that it was fully authorized to do business by Malta.

Similar vein: problems with your bank, credit union, or other banking institution?
All of them have what's called a regulating body. It varies based on what the exact type of institution is, but the common thread is that every. single. one. of these banking institutions spends incredible amounts of time, effort, and money to make sure that under no circumstances do they ever come to these regulators' attention.
Complaints to these regulatory bodies are treated like minor to major catastrophes by banking institutions. You WILL have your complaint examined, because they have to tell the regulating body exactly how they are rectifying it.
You can read this page to find out who regulates your banking institution here: Who Regulates My Bank?

So, I found out a fun fact this last weekend!
Every state has a Department of Weights and Measures. One of their jobs is to make sure that companies are actually selling you the quantities they claim they're selling. For example, this is the department which tests gas pumps and makes sure they're really pumping out a gallon of gas when they charge you for a gallon of gas.
So....
If you happen to, just as an example, notice that your 1lb (16 ounce) box of San Giorgio spaghetti actually only has 10oz of noodles, and you weigh your other boxes of spaghetti to discover they run from 10 to 14 ounces but never the full pound they're supposed to have, and that's why you never seem to have enough pasta for leftovers the next day, then you can report that to the Department of Weights and Measures.
They will want to know where you bought the item, and then will investigate whether the store or the manufacturer is routinely shorting customers. If they do, they will issue a fine to the offending party, you will be eligible for a refund, and under some circumstances lawsuits may follow.
Now, I don't know the outcome of the complaint I just initiated, but they did not want to know specific receipts or times of purchase. Which is good for me as I didn't keep any of those things, at the time I just said "Wow, fuck San Giorgio" and switched brands. But this is still enough to get an inspector out.

The problem with “senseless violence” narrative around the UnitedHealthcare CEO is that it ignores the inherent violence of the insurance industry. Denying someone lifesaving care is violence. Subjecting someone to drawn out periods of pain before treatment is violent. The industry is made up of millions of acts of violence everyday, with the CEO at the helm guiding it all. This is not unprovoked and it’s not an overreaction; it is just harder to ignore
