We hc DrRETRO and Jermbo to both have slight shapeshifting capabilities, mostly because we're just indecisive on how to draw em sldkjf

We think a lot about the fact that cats/cat-adjacent creatures in Regretevator are all just. So Weird???

The majority of NPCs that both enter the elevator and are capable of damaging the player are cats. Jermbo and DrRETRO can both kill MR. DrRETRO KNEW ABOUT FOLLY BEFORE SHE OFFICIALLY DEBUTED............

Buck's got that whole thing with the Follower, not to mention his connection with Jermbo.

Granted it could just be because there are a Lot of cats in Regretevator, so many of them are bound to fall into the category of "weird lore-important NPC" just by pure chance. It's still very interesting to us.
