If you're in the mood for angst, I got one for you. (Please take your time if you're busy.)

Agent Phoenix's eyes were either closing or have closed already. They're losing consciousness, and fast. They're clearly injured and about to succumb to their wounds.

Reginald is there, cradling them and wiping the tears that he doesn't know if they are his or theirs. His agent is dying. Maybe he knows about their ability. Maybe he does not. But it doesn't matter.

His agent is either dying or dead and any medical attention seems too far to reach them. He did all he could but it wasn't enough. They're getting closer and closer to death's door as each second passes.

And what hurt him the most? They were giving him a smile and comforting him like everything will be okay.

Part 12: 2022

June. Used a lot of references here and I'm especially pleased with the birds.

September. I really like this comic and how the flashback is framed.

September. I really like the lighting here.

December. An Illusion of Wings (@scarvenartist) fanart. This was literally just a sketch I made in class but I like the arrangement of the random colours.

July. This is by far the best drawing of this year, and one of my best drawings of all time. The pose is referenced from the painting Ivan the terrible and his son by Ilya Repin

November. This was by far the highest effort drawing of this year. It's more accurately a series of drawings, containing 81 panels and almost 100 characters. The average completion time for one panel was 30 min, but the work on this extended across 2 whole months. I really like this drawing series I think it's one of my stronger pieces in terms of character design.

The main characteristic of this year is using everything I've learned before and applying it in my art. It wasn't the most prolific year (no fully rendered pieces for the first half, just sketches, for example), but it produced some of my best work. I feel like the biggest improvement I've made was making every character unique both in terms of clothes and facial features. Just like last year, I have relied both on references and my accumulated knowledge over the years. And this artstyle I can definitely call my own.
