Tadahhhhhh behold the happiest color combo ever! Okay, so I happen to have a LOT of pink and red in my wardrobe and finding things to wear for this week’s #wearhappycolor2021 by @katiekortmanart challenge wasn’t that hard What did surprise me is how different everything looks when you put some some elbow grease into it thanks to @fayedelanty and #refashionweek The recipe? Before leaving the house add a brooch, a long scarf and a belt and take your frock from fabulous to funtabulous! Best of all? No new items were used to create this frock, in fact, most came from the op shops or I had in my wardrobe for a very long time Wearing: that emergency stripy top I bought years ago to put under a dress that was frankly too booby for my liking (.) (.) HA! That delicious pink vest I got at the @wbgs_global with a Gucci inspired oversized brooch I got from @ebayfashion My pants used to belong to my mum and she bought them at @vinniesshops and my shoes are by @katespadeny, I got them pre loved from eBay and had them resoled by Lynsey the shoe guy. The bag? I had a great time attending some events presented by @donatenyc for the first EVER #refashionweek❗️The purpose was to bring awareness to textile waste and celebrate secondhand shopping. Last Sunday @esanewyork hosted #doandbrew which was a clothing swap where you could mend, paint, distress, and/or tie dye your existing clothes or a new garment from the swap. I actually got the sweater I’m wearing from the swap and wore it to the refashion show this past Friday. AND the girl who brought this sweater to the swap was at the show and told me that her friend hand knitted it! At the #refashion show 6 stylists created #thrifted looks to grace the runway.
