More lore drop for my big ass demon clown. He has three different forms. His regular clown form where he's 8'5. His human form (that he doesn't use vary often) where he's 6'0. And then his demon form where he can be about any size he desires, since that's the form he would use while in the underworld to take care of misbehaving souls.

And of course I couldn't help drawing him like this with Cosmic. This was the form he was in when she first stumbled upon him and she's grown to actually think the hell beast is kind of cute.... When he's not chasing her down trying to rip her to pieces of course

Where can you read the twst novel? I really wanna learn more abt Yuuya

The novels are listed for sale in a variety of places, all conveniently viewable here on the Square Enix website!

If you would prefer them in English, I have seen that the first novel is available for pre-order from Amazon and Barnes and Noble, to be released on August 27th! 🎉

Some small information about the novels: while they are not being written by Yana herself, they are being written by Hioki Jun, who has been responsible for co-writing/supervising event scenarios and vignettes for the game since its inception!

So she is not an outside hire that they brought on for this project but someone who has been involved since the beginning (and maybe even earlier--she is a member of Yana's studio, D-6th, which produces her manga), which is maybe why it might not be impossible for the novels to be correcting small inconsistencies in the game 👀 (ref: Are the novels canon?)

On the subject of Yuuya specifically I was so sure that I made a Yuuya-info-compilation before but now I cannot find it anywhere, so here is a new version! :>

So y’all fw Mr. Puzzles hcs?

So canonically, based off the emerging movements he makes going from tv mode to ‘normal’ mode and the appearance of his arms/legs, there isn’t much of Puzzles that’s human anymore. The closest things he may have left is his heart and lungs (since he smokes, but that’s also a stretch).

While I prefer the idea thar he smokes, I like to think that he only holds the cigarette and pretends to smoke with a small smoke machine in the back, since the cig isn’t actually lit in the scene (not on purpose, of course).

As a kid, he was inspired to smoke from the old cigarette ads in cartoons (like the Flintstones Winston commercial).

He loves cooking shows and remaking the recipes, but he can’t eat. For a relationship hc (platonic or romantic), he’d probably love making food for you and get feedback on his cooking (eg, more spices, cook more/less, different recommendations). And compliments, of course. Always gotta compliment the chef, after all.

Body-wise (and this one might be kinda gross cause of minor body horror so skip if not comfortable), since we’ve established that there isn’t anything organic anymore about his body, he probably looks like a wire version of muscle anatomy. He’s very self-conscious about this, and tries to hide it the best of his abilities (long clothes, wrapping his arms to keep his shirt in place, the gloves). To add, his brain is probably a unique motherboard with wires surrounding it like a brain.

He sees and hears through the antennas, and makes sure to keep then aligned as much as possible. If one of them is slightly bent out of their usual shape, things look and sound very broken, like your vision going in and out. To add, the top dial changes the channel from his expressions to a specific show, and the lower dial adjusts his volume.

Technically canon but he has heterochromia! His right eye is dark brownish and his left is light blue. (He has homophobia in his eyes 😔 /j /ref)

We already know he stims lets bffr.

My friend’s hc: His angry/scary/humanoid face is parts of his original face, as well as the face that glitches during the movie’s end (I stg I know where that face is from. I wanna say Jack Stauber but I know it’s some kind of claymation. Speaking of Jack Stauber, Mr. Puzzles kinda gives Mirror Man vibes, y’know?).

Since he’s not as human anymore, he doesn’t get sick normally. However, he can get versions of illnesses through similar methods. He can overheat and power off on hot days, and he’s probably not great in rain. His signal also jams when it rains, so he’d constantly be bumping into stuff and wouldn’t be able to control the channels properly (I say control the channels cause idk what else to call it but that thing he does in the movie where he runs all the channels in his head and stuff. His head’s still a fully functional tv after all). If he’s shocked with lighting or smth, he’ll lose his signal, which is his equivalent of going into a coma.

Speaking of rain, he’ll try his best to be on top of the weather and carry an umbrella. However, if he doesn’t have actors for the weather channel and is preoccupied with other projects, he’ll be stuck at the studio waiting out the storm. Relationship hcs for this can be rlly funny. You’d catch him all bitter about the sudden rain as he stands by the door waiting for a cab or smth. If you pull out an umbrella, he’s turn into an absolute drama queen. “Oh, it’s such a TRAVESTY! This HORRIBLE rain just WON’T lighten up! Oh, if only there was someone so kind and caring who’d share their umbrella with me!” You could a) not share the umbrella and receive an even more bitter Puzzles, b) insist on holding the umbrella and have him walk with you awkwardly, or c) give him the umbrella but he holds it so high that you still get wet.

Despite his hatred for the rain, it’s one of the few things he can still enjoy about his humanity. Being a bunch of wires and other tech, he can’t feel anything, just being numb, minus a light electrical pulse, similar to a heart beat. He can’t feel specific textures but can grab and roughly identify objects. However, he can feel the rain and how different it is from other things, and it reconnects him with the real world. For any Steven Universe fans, it’s like Peridot stepping out into the rain for the first time, but more somber.

If he’s out in the rain one day, he’s sick the next. When he sneezes, his screen goes static-y for the moment.

When he sleeps, he has a black screen with the small “sleep mode” pop-up in the corner. He’s also a very light sleeper.

When he zones out, it’s the Puzzlevision logo bouncing across the screen as a screen-saver.

Jack Howl has joined the Golden Frost Festival!!! No lines because I already struggle with that for my own ocs, i don’t think i want to go through that for a character that’s NOT my own. Once again respect for any fan fiction writers out there.

...Anyways, here are the refs and bonus height chart! Finally!

I tried so so hard to not yap in their tidbits of info, I even rewrote multiple times to make it simpler, but man, I can't help but make paragraphs, huh? At least I didn't share everything everything!

Sun and Moon's Refs were so much better I think... but I've remade these like 4 times from start to finish and my back is killing me so I need to stop or I'll die :]

You may notice a lil self insert in the height chart, don't worry, it's there for cameos, and sillyness! They really don't exist in-universe.

Might share some group info later on? I need to make up my mind on what to do! Either way, I do have a comic in the works showcasing part of their dynamic, and a relationship graph that I need to make digitally, but that's relatively simple to do!

For now, I will preemptively share that relationship-wise, everyone but Jack and BM are dating! That's right, these idiots are poly and happy!

(BM wasn't even supposed to exist in this AU... he came to existence because I made a period joke and now he's canon... oh and as a disclaimer I will add that none of this is TSAMS related so don't compare it to TSAMS please please please- I don't even watch the show)

Alphonse: 7/10 he's okay!

My dad would like him for how he shit talks and my mom would like how he sells candy. But my dad might ask how much he makes to see if he can support the both of us. Will not like to know that he was a ex con man also streamer-

Seth: 9/10 almost perfect!

My dad will see a lot of himself in him and my mom would fall for his southern manners. Might get asked of his previous jobs and both would not like how he got locked up. But will win back points if he said he took the fall from Alphonse.

Charlie: 6/10 sadly.

This is bc my dad would make fun of him and bully him a bit. My mom would try and feed him some more. Also the pizza place job might make them be eh to him along with being a ex dealer and con man. But if they knew him when younger like in canon the score would probably be 1 more higher.

Finn: 10/10 perfect score.

My dad would make fun of him for being shy but my mom would love talking to him. My dad's mom's favorite flower were Sunflower and would love that nickname for me that Finn calls his partner. If he brings flowers my mom would love him and if it's Sunflowers my dad will cry. They would love how gentle he is bc I'm a bit bitchy and he would reel me I'm.

Faust: 5/10 he's a 50/50 shot

Only bc he'd probably start shit with my dad. My mom would love his outfits and chat to him about that. But other than that they wouldn't know how to talk to him. They would like how he's a gamer! Might even ask what games he plays. His score goes up if he says he has money. (Stability is romantic /ref)

Auron: 10/10 perfect catch!

He's rich, has manners, and a go getter. My dad would respect him and my mom would love how perfect he is! If Auron ever does tell them about his other job my dad would try and threaten him. But my mom would freak out with me dating a CEO. Honestly probably the best option out of all if he was real!

Lucien: 4/10- depending how he speaks will go negative....

Only bc he doesn't have a job so KY dad would think he was a bum. My mom would probably like to try his cooking! If he tells them he's a demon his points would go negative. Since we're catholic- and my dad would freak tf out. My mom would cuss me out for somehow summoning a demon.

Jack: 9/10 almost a perfect 10!

Since he comes from a semi rich family and does a lot of side jobs too! My dad would respect him for being go getter and not wanting things handed to him. My mom would ask what he's majoring in college! He's very plain and THE white boy so KY dad would poke fun at him for that. But my mom would love to listen to him talk about the beach!
