Museum day with my dad at Redpath Museum

There was almost no one in the morning, so we managed to take a few pictures while visiting. People started arriving around noon, and we left shortly after. My dad is not a photographer at all, but with guidance, he ended up doing a good job.

I went on a visit to McGill with my program and it was one of the coolest things I’ve done in a while. We got to speak with the PhD students there (mostly biology because that’s the area I’m trying to go into!) and we learned about their work and how they got to where they are today. I even got to hold real fossils!

Student life can be horrible and tiring and all-round exhausting, but it could also be absolutely amazing.

Hi hi! Your fashion sense has been a large inspiration to me for years now, I really admire how you pair your pieces in a way that always seems very You, for lack of a better term.

As a lolita in the greater mtl area, im ever so excited to see familiar locations in your pictures (the Redpath museum is gorgeous! It hadn’t occurred to me to take outfit pics there, thanks for the inspo haha) I’ve only been to a few small lolita meetups, but in the summer I know there are usually some larger ones. have you been to/will go in the future to any of those meets? I make jewelry and brooches/hairbows and would love to gift you a piece if that wouldn’t be too presumptuous :,) Of course absolutely no pressure! My little pea brain simply loves giving handmade presents as a token of appreciation as a “hey! Hey you’re really cool and I know I don’t know you but I admire your style!”

I have been to all of the Sainte-Dolorès events (summer ILD) from 2010 to 2015, as well as the 2019 one because I was visiting my family that summer. I missed the first one in 2009 because of work, though. I might come to the 2023 one if my health lets me (which is a very 50/50 chance right now). And presents are always nice🙂

McGill University, Memorial Day Weekend 2014

There’s a story here. I took lots of pictures on my phone for this blog. This is was back when I was posting on here semi-regularly. And then that very same day, my phone got stolen at a subway stop in Campus. And I was so upset that I stopped taking campus pictures for the blog.

But over the past months, I’ve had the opportunity to visit a few campuses, so I figured I’ll start posting again. And as for the McGill pictures, I got a few from a friend.

Trivia: The Arts Building is one where the scene in which Magneto steals his helmet from the Pentagon in X-Men Days of Future Past was shot.

I took my first real adult trip back in October with my boyfriend to see Gorillaz. I first visited Montreal in grade 8 for a school trip and had always wanted to go back. So we made it happen ❤
