With the new episode and now that I've had time to fucking process (oh s*n did it break me) I've come with joyus news

this is not the last part.

here are my reasons, I'll go into depth. long post below cut explaining these reasons ^^

UNRESOLVED PLOT POINTS

In the episode, nearing the end, they showed the shimmers (a main plot point for this season).

We also still have questions about what happened to the non-meeple characters, such as Bot, Floory (possibly?), and MePad. They were not in the finale.

AdamationEpic has been following the "basic" (Im only saying basic in a way where all good movies and shows do this) closure ending. we have not gotten that with MePhone4.

TO LITTLE ACTS

A movie tends to have 3-5 acts, this is only act 2. An act two is typically the meat of your story, where all the main plot starts to take place, is this not what this episode was? So much happened to a point where it simply could not be the end.

Adamation said that it would be done by christmas, and mate, its not even fucking Halloween.

SEASON 4

I went to the houston meetup 2024 this year. One of the questions at the QnA was "Will they're be a season four?" and Adam said "If you want it enough!"

While I doubt it would be a competition show season, who knows.

Some random headcanons about Redd because she’s the best and I’m just now finding out she has a fanbase:

She actually has no real given name. She’s gone by a lot of names over the years; Ruby, Crimson, Scarlett, Rose, Carmine. Anything that means “red”. But Redd is the name she likes the most, so it’s what she introduces herself as

She may or may not be a cousin of Jack Sparrow. None of the family really knows, but her mother took on her father (Edward Teague’s brother) as a frequent client over the years so they’re pretty sure the kid is his.

Edward Teague felt responsible for Redd after she was born and took her under his wing. He was the closest thing to a father she ever had.

When she was about 18-19 she was auctioned off (like in the ride) but she eventually shot her “husband” and went off on her own.

Jack took the blame for the crime cause he just so happened to be there to try to break her out. Only Edward knows and plans to take the secret to the grave.

Redd can be just as chaotic if not moreso than Jack, to the point where sometimes even he struggles in keeping up with her

To be petty he refuses to ever call her Captain despite her very much being her. Instead Jack will always call her “Rusty Redd”

She LOVES dad jokes. She’s the only soul alive who’s genuinely laughed at Uncle Jack’s terrible jokes

Redd’s got a bit of a drinking problem but she’s able to manage it pretty well.

She HATES chicken. Ever since she was little they’ve had a weird vendetta against her so she refuses to eat them

Redd is just about the only person who never gets mad when Jack betrays her. If anything she expects it. And sometimes she’ll get a good betrayal on him too

She loves to sing and dance her heart out, but she’s not very good at either

sometimes i think about how maya would probably hate how cagey mia would get around her, or how little she got to see of her sister, and how she's always wanted to be closer to her but she knew the moment mia went to law school and essentially removed herself from the fey clan that from thereon they'd always be in two different worlds.

then she meets phoenix, who loves and cares for her unconditionally like how something like an older sibling would, kinda like the love she's yearned from mia all along. she's incredibly high off of the feeling of finally feeling like someone's equal because phoenix treats her exactly like one. she knows she has a place beside him in court, and that she truly does belong there with him. sometimes i think that phoenix was maya's first taste of true proper friendship, since she couldn't get any of that at all with her sheltered life in kurain. her only friends her whole life was her older sister and her younger cousin.

it's just ... nice to be disconnected from a family that's only ever isolated and hurt her for so long by nick's side, and she relishes in the escapism of it all. but of course, it never really lasts too long.

when phoenix gets disbarred, she gets insane deja vu like when mia started going to law school. he becomes even cagier, he never even contacts her that much anymore, and it might just drive her mad again. she knows she's his equal, they've went through several life and death situations together. but when she sees him again he feels like a husk of the man he once was. she can never stop loving him, not when he's unconditionally loved her all these years, but it hurts all the same again. like mentor, like student.
