Christine and the Queen’s ‘rien dire’ (or ‘say nothing’) is pure nostalgia.  

The singer (who recently came out as a transgender man and now uses he/him pronouns) is wracked with romantic angst as his tender vocals drift atop groaning bass and a pulsating heartbeat, littered with glitchy synths. When translated, his words are poetry: ‘Even if I’m not always in your arms/It seems that you are walking besides me/And my gestures took the colour of your movements/And I think about it all the time, in spite of myself.’ 

Christine and the Queens’ upcoming album, Redcar les adorables étoiles, is now due out November 11 via Because Music.
