Project Meridian ending=I’m pissed. This may be a long, nonsensical, rant, bc I’m so mad. What in the world was that?! My favorite storyline, that had to much potential, is all a dream?!

I don’t think this was Erik’s plan all along (mainly saying that bc I’d be more pissed) but I do think for some reason he decided to take the pussy way out, and make the incredibly lazy decision, to end it because it was all a ✨dream✨.

I’ll say that I think the video itself was cool and could’ve gone in a dozen different cool directions and it just didn’t. Like sure, Anton being a shifter is cool, and I like that Quinn was in it and we had more about how he got captured. Sure. That’s fine. Outside of that. No.

I think to take a storyline so seriously for years, just to make it a dream is incredibly lazy, unsatisfying, and frankly unfair to the people who have made so many theories and thoughts into how this complex, REALLY INTERESTING, story would develop. It could’ve been so good! He could’ve done something so good. But let’s face it, he’s rlly not good at ending storylines.

He’s rlly good at starting them and pretty good with the middle bit, but from my time listening to his stuff, he doesn’t make satisfactory endings. It’s all just very disappointing. It feels like this was wrapping up in an underwhelming, neat little greeting card, bow and I’m so not here for it.

I have so much more to say but I should stop now for my own sanity. TLDR: I’m pissed and I feel cheated out of a good story.

what i should be worried about after the balance | worlds apart:

brachium nonconsensually modifying the memories of four main characters and taking them off the chessboard (for now?) (rip to any further development of the trauma elliott and sunshine experienced)

brachium wanting to go up against d’deridahn(& blake) on his own (i do want to see him kick blake’s ass but i also worry for the old man yk)

d’deridahn saying “we may yet have use for another” in regards to blake telling bestie what’s going on (potentially making bestie a vessel for another sovereign??)

the curveball of finding out bestie’s known since high school that blake’s a seer and that it was a major cause of the rift that formed between them (that ONS was loaded if i’m understanding things correctly …)

whatever the hell d’deridahn did to blake when he possessed him (personally hope he enveloped him like venom or something. or at the very least that glowing eyes were involved)

scorpius joining brachium’s fight against blake because blake/closeknit kept him locked up for his memory modification powers

what i’m actually busy thinking about after the balance | worlds apart:

bestie witnessing blake’s manic raving about needing to save them and d’deridahn’s show of power and still kissing blake anyway (i knew this bitch was crazy <3)

blake breaking away from the kiss to whisper “all for you, all of it” in the middle of d’deridahn’s annoyed remarks (sedate me right now)

im SO glad that erik went the whole ‘darlin did mean something to quinn in the way he could see the effect he had on them and in a fucked ‘ur my thrall’ kinda way

and gba did such a good job portraying it too!! omg the ‘you live recklessly, you spill blood without giving it a second thought’ almost sounded admonishing, like he cared about how they throw themselves around like a tank with little care for their own safety.

and it also shows that he never wanted them dead!!! which is why he never attacked them. as long as darlin lived, in his mind, that meant that his legacy would live on because they would be forever haunted by what he did to them and their friend. cause even at the very end, quinn was obsessed with darlin as something he could tame or own. So much so that he wanted darlin to be his last sight and that’s when darlin realized that they meant more to him than he did to them and that they finally had power over to truly hurt him. And they did exactly that by walking away

a/n: this fic does contain spoilers for sovereign state season one finale that literally just dropped so if you haven’t listened to it go listen and then come back

this strange unknown place is dark with red undertones with fire and smoke spreading across random areas and to be quite honest it’s really reminding you of the netherworld in minecraft. the thought alone somehow scares you more since you never got the guts to go to it in the game.

you hear a groan and look to find the source— a demon lays on the ground a few feet from you. all you can remember is him bumping into and apologizing profusely before you opened your eyes to find yourself in whatever place this is.

“what the actual fuck?” avior groans holding his head while sitting up, his head was throbbing in pain but he can’t remember if he hit his head on something. he looks up to take in his surroundings suddenly noticing that he is not in Arya, he doesn’t know where he is.

“this isn’t arya”

then his eyes lock with yours, startling you enough you unconsciously take a few steps back. avior doesn’t even think before he speaks.

“and where ever i am, you shouldn’t be here, not through my rift. who the hell are you?”

“i—i uh um” you try to think of the right words to form a response but you just end up blurting out your name.

“nice name” he scoffs. “now, care to explain why the fuck we are?”

you’re baffled at his very bold accusation.

“if i didn’t know any better it sounds like you think this is my fault” the statement comes out more angrily then you’d like, but he simply laughs at you.

“why shouldn’t i talk to you like this is your fault? i have no clue who you are and while i was trying to escape a particular sticky situation, you somehow ended up in my rift with me and instead of it taking me home and you to an early oblivion it takes us here. where ever the hell here is.” he says with an almost condescending tone.

he sighs before speaking again, something he likes to do apparently.

“while we’re at it, hell seems to be a fitting title.” he stands and walks to look over the edge to take in the view. “what is this?”

you’ve decided to keep your distance from this unknown demon, unsure if he’s the cause of this situation you find yourself in.

“so do i get to know your name or is this a situation where only one of us knows the others name?”

“avior, i’m an inchoate demon”

“in know it?” avior lets a out a frustrated sigh.

“inchoate. i-n-c-h-o-a-t-e, brush up on your vocabulary or your demon classifications, which ever you prefer”

before you’re able to ask what exactly an inchoate demon is he cuts you off with the definition.

“it means i’m the demonic equivalent to one of you humans freelancer, i’m fueled by any kind of energy from your kind, i’m not specialized.”

“you must like the sound of your own voice huh?” you mumble.

“excuse me?” he scoffs.

“i’m saying you talk a lot” you speak louder so he can hear you this time. “jeez it’s just like ‘me me me!’ let me at least introduce myself properly before you go on a tangent, you walking thesaurus.”

avior is a bit taken aback by you, he’s never had anyone—let alone a human, talk to him like this.

“you know i don’t exactly need the attitude from someone who caused this in the first place”

“caused this? you still think i did this?! what makes you think i did this?!” you don’t mean to come off so rude but you cannot believe that he still thinks this is your fault.

“well for starters you’re aura is different from other magic welders, your connection seems organic”

“organic? you trying to insult me or something? cause it’s working”

“god you’re toilsome”

“big words only make me more angry” avior lets out another frustrated sigh.

“you. are. difficult.”

“oh like you’re so easy to deal with” you huff and cross your arms across your chest. “why are we here anyway? i have to support my friends at the academy games today. how long do you think we’ll be stuck in here for?”

“do you always ask so many questions?”

“i don’t know, do you always sound so sarcastic?”

avior lets out another groan, he’s beyond frustrated that he’s trapped with what seems to be the human equivalent of a twenty questions game.

“let’s be civil with each other here, we don’t know how long we’ll be stuck for.”

“fine.” there’s a pregnant pause between the two of you before you speak again. “so what was the ‘sticky situation’ you were trying to escape from?”
