I'm watching Unforgiven for the first time and all I can think is wow Joe Abercrombie sure loved this fuckin movie when he wrote Red Country, huh?

Inspired by @zarovichs 's post, I decided to make one for (most of) the POV characters from the standalone trilogy: Best Served Cold, The Heroes, and Red Country.

Say one thing for Joe Abercrombie: say he writes fuckable characters.

Red Country was a goddamn masterpiece. More people here need to reach the First Law books so I can finally gush about them to someone. I could never dream to write something as good as those books, not now at least.

Red Country was defintely my least favourite of the standalones so far but seeing Cosca have a meltdown might just have made up for the first 60% of the book

I don't really like Westerns. Red country, the current book I'm reading, is a Western fantasy book in the First Law series. I'm really fucking enjoying it. Joe Abercrombie is a goddamn good writer.
