I was gonna send you this but you see it a bit better in this photo (It's her same dress from the first episode just with different sleeves) anyway I'm shocked they recreated the dress from this portrait this is a level of thought that was just not put into season 1

tbf they actually have more gowns to recreate with jane; no contemporary portraits of anne survive.

personally, i think of these series as functionally two separate shows — a lot of the cast, crew are the same, and mantel was involved in both iirc, but there is a ten year gap between one and the other. it is definitely apparent that different creative choices have been made with regards to costumes, as well as tmatl having a larger budget. wh was made within an industry context that did not emphasise accuracy in tudor costumes, while tmatl is being made in a context where those accurate fabrics and silhouettes are more desireable.
