Introducing! ELESA, the new kid on the block! She's a tiny bedraggled child from Sinnoh and not all that familiar with Galarian, the spoken language in Unova. (One day she'll be amazing. Right now though, she just wants to go play in the mud. And maybe get a better set of hearing aids.)

When not bitterly lonely, she’s scheming to run back to her old home. Or chasing the local patrat. Or watching nervously from the sidelines as other children play on the swings. Oh elesa. (loosely inspired by @/noxstrages' incredible comics about elesa's origins! Ty for the food.)

I got to precisely here when I realised Yuuko was "technically" telling the truth even when she lied earlier in the story. Or, er, later in the story. In Lava Lamp's flashback - when she said she’d never met Lava Lamp’s parents but names them both. And she was TECHNICALLY correct, in that she hadn’t met them in their current lifetimes.

But she HAS met Sakura and Syaoran in their past lives, many times, and knew their names and they would remember her etc. SO LIKE. 

THAT WAS CHEATING.

Not only that they love him so much but that Sakura is SO GLAD that she GETS TO BE HIS MOTHER is such a unique take on this and I’m so thrilled for them all. 

Even when Syaoran is training his son in preparation for The Struggles he’s going to have to deal with all on his own for (?) years, they still get to genuinely be happy and really treasure the fact that THEY get to be the ones to raise him.

we don't see madeleine and claudia in their months together because their happiness was created in the present and presence of each other, and captured only in the eyes of the other. there's no need to share to strangers what was already shared between the people it mattered most to. the voyeurs of the world will only ever see the outline of where pleasure lies.

I grew up with debilitating anxiety and PTSD which continued through my teens and into my adulthood, and only in the past 2 years or so have I been medicated for it and actively trying to overcome daily challenges. Most days I couldn’t even check out in a shop by myself or go anywhere alone without being overcome by fear.

Happy, positive post under the cut:

Today I got 2 trains by myself and spent the journeys happily nose-deep in a book for an hour and a half, got food by myself in a big city and ate it contentedly swinging my legs in my seat while I watched a talented man play piano in the train station, made friends and travelled to a show together with them, exchanged details so we can keep in touch, and danced with the strangers around me at said show.

You might read that and think “I do those things all the time” and wonder what the big deal is, but to me it’s life-changing. When I say I couldn’t do those things before, I’m incredibly serious. I’d become tense, anxious, sweaty, in fight-or-flight mode with a racing heart at the smallest exchanges and situations so many others could handle in their sleep. I wasn’t a man who could just befriend people that easily, or order a drink at a bar without fumbling, or sit alone in a theatre with no friends beside me as a buffer — and even with friends there, I’d still have anxiety creeping in. It’s held me back for my whole life and stopped me enjoying things confidently and in full.

I navigated a solo trip, without any trouble at all, and did so with a huge smile on my face and a spring in my step the whole time, and I’m so unbelievably happy with the progress I’ve made. And I just really wanted to share that here, because I’m proud of myself for working really fucking hard not to let anxiety and trauma limit me anymore, and become a happier, fuller, braver person because of it. :•)

druids can NOT speak in people’s minds. when they are before a high priestess, they can pray to her directly and she can hear them (hence the scene between morgana and mordred when he spoke in her mind).

merlin who constantly has this buzzing in the back of his head that he can never understand besides the occasional odd word which makes no sense. but when he’s closer to a druid or when their prayer is super strong, then he can make out what they’re saying.

merlin who brings up the fact that druids can speak into peoples minds to gaius who casually unfurls a scroll containing his ongoing list of reasons why merlin is/evidence of merlin being a god of the old religion.
