Welcome to Dreamworld oc Sunny pt 2
Voice
Hello, again. This part is who I think would be perfect to voice my Welcome to DreamWorld OC Sunny. I was gonna do it in one page, but Tumblr has a 30 pic limit, so I'll divided it into four categories with ten voices to keep it simple: 1. Main Voice. 2. Corrupt/Evil Voice .3. Singing Voice. 4. Runner Ups. Some voices can be used in more than one category. Right now, we're starting with Main Voice and the reason I chose this voice actor/actress.
Voice: Tough, sarcastic, tomboyish, with a hint of mischief.
For Sunny's voice I wanted her to sound confused and lost, but not vulnerable or afraid to stand up for herself and others with a gentle side.
No one is in any particular order I just put them in randomly.
Also, here's info on Sunny.
Kimberly Brooks - Chili Pepper Cookie from the cookie Run series.
Kimberly performance as Chili Pepper Cookie was sassy and I love how mischievous and straight forward Chili Pepper Cookie is. Chili Pepper isn't just a thief she has goals to make to the top and she'll look for the answers to her questions to find the nearest treasure.
Sunny a sassy little lady who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty to find out about the truth and wants to get straight to the point.
Rebecca Shoichet - Sunset Shimmer from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic/ Equatoria Girls
Rebecca performance as Sunset Shimmer was down-to-earth, musical, and throughout the series Sunset was learning about friendship and to forgive herself.
Like Sunset, Sunny has a temper when pushed too far and will apologize later (depending on the situation). Also, Sunny is learning to trust not just those around her but herself and to form a friendship with others.
Rebecca can also double as Sunny's singing voice since she did sing for Sunset & Twilight Sparkle.
Melissa Fahn - Rika from Digimon & Gaz from Invader Zim
Melissa's performance as Gaz and Rika was the tough girl(s) attitude I was looking for. Both Rika and Gaz are anti-social-tough-gamer-girls who won't let anyone or anything get in their way and were not above revenge. Later on, Rika learned to respect life and made friends in her journey, while Gaz kinda stayed the same until Enter the Florpus where she admits to care for Dib, plus both are daddy's girls.
At first Sunny is very anti-social with the group. After, Sunny spends some time with them (mostly the kids) she realizes she is good at video games due to Wiatt growing up at Nickel-Per-Pay arcade. Like Rika and Gaz, Sunny has a temper, and one should fear her threats if you anger her enough and isn't afraid to fight, but is loyal to her friends.
Michaela Dietz - Amythest from Steven Universe and Vee from The Owl House
Michaela's performance as (in her serious mood) Amythest and Vee are two individuals who are insecure about themselves due to Amythest who was supposed to be a weapon that came out late in and alone and Vee was an extinct species that came to life due to an evil dictator only to be used as a test subject. Both struggled with self-doubt, disguise themselves both physically and how they feel, and their abilities to help others. but gained something from their found families who accepts them for who they are. They became more confident in themselves and help others with their unique abilities.
When, Sunny was activated she was alone until the others found her. Sunny doubts that she can help the others and puts up a wall to protect herself. Sunny slowly comes out of her shell and gains confidence in herself and her abilities.
Ashley Nichols - Zooble from The Amazing Digital Circus
Ashley's performance as Zooble was very few words, but had a huge impact. Zooble is annoyed easily and would rather be by themselves quick but has a soft side and cares for others in the circus.
I will not lie I was hesitant to use one of the voice actors/actresses from The Amazing Digital Circus, but then I was like who cares?! Like Zooble, Sunny is a distant person and is having an identity crisis questioning if she is just an animatronic with someone's soul inside her or if she's herself?
Also, I loved how androgynous Zooble sounded and thought it was perfect for Sunny.
Jennifer Paz - Lapis Lazuli from Steven Universe
Jennifer's performance as Lapis was someone who went through something traumatizing which caused her to mistrust others regret past mistakes and filled with self-hatred. Lapis took a lot of time to heal, learn that she is better than what she thought she was, and gained a family in the end.
Sunny is going to through the motions of questioning her existence, if the others really want her as a friend or because she has Wiatt's memories stored inside her, and self-hatred. Despite Sunny's distrust with the others, she's still protective of them and joins in the fight against Litho until she truly forms a bond with them and trust herself.
Jennifer can also double as Sunny's singing voice since she has done Lapis's singing voice.
Kari Wahlgren - Nova from Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go
Kari performance as Nova is someone who is courageous, a fighter, and was afraid to show her softer side to the others. No matter what Nova was a protector to the innocents and her friends.
Like Nova, Sunny has a temper would rather fight than talk things over especially if you miff her off. She does have a soft spot for her loved ones and doesn't truly want to hurt anybody. And both have celestial names.
Kari can also double as Sunny's singing voice since she has done singing roles in the past .
Elisabeth Riley - Cofi from Chikn Nuggit
Elisabeth's performance as Cofi was mysterious, creepy, and is an actual sheep in wolf's clothing meaning she may appear scary but is actually sweet and kind. And cares for her girlfriend Cheezburger.
Sunny is a mysterious person in both personality and origin and can be a bit scary to others due to her hostile nature. Underneath it all she's a sweetheart.
Casey Mongillo - Zoe from the Monster Prom series
Casey Mongillo's performance as Zoey is curious, nerdy, has a bad past but wants to change themselves for the better and is happy with her new form/self. Also, Zoe is transgendered it/its to she/her.
Sunny has Wiatt's curious and nerdy nature and trying to find out the truth about Dreamworld, the other animatronics and victims, Wiatt, Sara, etc., and to better understand herself. She hates it when some refer to her as Wiatt and wants to be seen as herself.
Both Zoey and Wiatt are trans (ftm for Wiatt and itf for Zoey), Casey identifies as They/Them, and Sunny is written as aroace which are all parts of the LGBTQ+ community.
Casey also voices the character Milo in the series who's a social media star and always has a camera on hand.
Nika Futterman - Luna from the Loud House
Nika's performance as Luna is a wild card, caring, tomboy, and loud! Luna looks out for her siblings and is there for them no matter the situation. Luna does worry about her talents and if she can live up to her dreams, but in the end, she always comes through. In the show Luna is presented as being bisexual, but I remember one of the writers stating that Luna is a representative of those in the LGBTQ+ community still trying to find themselves.
While Sunny isn't the loudest person, she is a bit of a free spirit who will help anyone out. Like Luna cares about her siblings, Sunny looks out for the kids like an older sister. She will find a love of music, I also headcanon that Wiatt's a music lover due to wearing headphones a couple of times. Also, I loved how androgynous Luna sounded and thought it was perfect for Sunny.
Well, here are my top 10 to be Sunny's voice actor/actress.

The editing on this video is exemplary. The juxtaposition of clips creates new comedy not in the source material, and demonstrates a very good understanding of timing. Dramatic moments cutting straight into trivial one-liners is gold.
"You put the lives of my friends in danger" -> "And fewer balloons" -> "In your face, mud" makes me laugh forever
It shows how Sunset's characterization is consistent through both drama and comedy, which is good writing, and makes her feel more authentic. That's not something all of the main characters got in this franchise, as other flanderizations tended towards the uncanny and unrelatable.
And, of course, seeing how Rebecca's vocal timbre changed from the first movie to the rest is always a hoot.

[PITCH]
Escape From Echo Planet
What is it —
A 2D anime-influenced action/sci-fi/adventure animated film that is best described as a cross between The Incredibles and old school Saturday morning 1930s serials in terms of its tone and style.
PREMISE:
At first set in New York City, we follow Susan Gilchrist, a young and absolutely drop-dead gorgeous 25 year old woman, who is an Olympic medalist with ten of them already under her belt and five of them being gold. A single mother who despite her incredible accomplishments is recovering from a rather nasty divorce with her now ex-husband, Susan's only care in the world currently is her 8 year old daughter Gerda who is as shy and frail as can be.
It's one night, however, that is about to forever change her life as the doorbell rings when Susan is busy making cookies for Gerda as it's the day before Christmas Eve and she puts the bowl of dough down to go answer it. But to her shock and then immediate horror, Susan finds three women her age and wearing tight skin, full body catsuits standing there when she opens the door holding a large sack and saying "Susan Elizabeth Gilchrist, you are coming with us!"..... right before they instantly kidnap her in it.
It turns out these are not any ordinary kidnappers as she's taken to their getaway vehicle - an invisible yet extraordinarily advanced spacecraft.
Blasting off to the speed of light straight off Earth and into the cold depths of space, a terrified and bewildered Susan is brought directly to where these women are from and it's none other than the titular Echo Planet, a vast yet utterly dangerous flat jungle-esque planet located right behind the moon itself where all is finally revealed.
An entire army of female super soldiers is being put together by the leader of Echo Planet, an unseen but powerful shadow figure by the name of Mistress, and is comprised of the best of the best highly skilled women of Earth from martial artists, army soldiers, marines, FBI agents and even other medalists among many others in order to take over all of said Earth with the moon playing an important and central role in it.
Susan is about to become the newest addition as Mistress' plot is ready at long last to be put into motion but unfortunately for them, right before she's about to be brainwashed, she manages to escape from their clutches.
Now all by herself and wearing the same type of catsuit the soldiers are with hers being blue with the usual white in front, she must or is forced to use everything she's got in order to not only survive against all the forces out to get her but overcome the odds as it turns out she's the one and only hope to stop the ensuing takeover from happening and while all of this is occurring, Susan comes into contact with a certain high-ranking and seductive female alien captain by the name of Crypta who seems to know more of what's going on with the domination of Earth than any others.
NOTES/TRIVIA/DETAILS:
• The big thing right out of the gate is that yes, the design of Susan Storm/Invisible Woman from the underrated Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes will be reused for the main protagonist's design along with her suit being reused for both HER suit in this and the overall suits for the soldiers and captains, just with different colors on the latters. Top it off, her voice actress from the show, Lara Gilchrist, will voice both Susan and Mistress/Crypta, thus making her character's name a combination of her character and actress playing her.
• The cast (which is all-female) that I have in mind even for supporting roles are all of the following fifteen — Lara Gilchrist (obviously), Elizabeth Maxwell, Stephanie Young, Caitlin Glass, Holly Hunter, Wendee Lee, Rebecca Soler, Karen Strassman, Kelly Stables, Christel Khalil, Collen O'Shaughnessey, Nicole Sullivan, Kerri Kenney Silver, Christy Carlson Romano and Rebecca Shoichet.
• The animation style, while it is definitely influenced by the style in the aforementioned Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, will have its own distinctive look to it to make it stand out from others. Not only will it be far more fluid and expressive than the show it's also aforementioned style is from but it will have a slick and color contrasting noir aesthetic to it that gives it a rich look especially with its environments.
• As for the director for it, I want someone who is just as weird and distinct as the project and story to helm it since they'll obviously gel with it. The choices that I have in mind are Brad Bird, Gore Verbinski, Michael Dougherty, Kerry Conran, Chris Bailey, John Knoll, David Lowery, Elliot Dear, Lauren Faust, Robert Rodriguez, Shane Acker, David Yarovesky, Emily Dean, Simon Wells and Brenda Chapman.
• Lastly, a major and subversive aspect of the movie is none other than both the characters of Mistress and Crypta. See, Mistress is a literal shadow whose real appearance is never seen by anyone but is always an imposing figure and force. As for Crypta, she's an entirely chalk white female alien and one of the best captains of Mistress' army who is shown to be deliciously evil and enjoys being vile and sadistic. What adds more to the overall tension and danger of the film is that despite Mistress ordering that Susan must be brought back alive, all of the captains and soldiers (with wicked grins on their faces) have their fingers crossed behind their backs on that part INCLUDING Crypta herself. This culminates in Susan accidentally landing right on her..... and a twisted Crypta proceeds to instantly devour her whole in one big gulp. Later though, Susan ends up using a force field activator that Crypta had swallowed earlier in the film during their first encounter (this is their second) to literally blast her way out of her stomach, exploding her body on the outside in half. It's again another later though that Susan eventually discovers along with the plot to take over Earth that Mistress and Crypta are in fact THE SAME PERSON with the former being a persona she created and the latter being the real leader pulling the strings while hiding amongst her own army as Crypta reveals herself to Susan as alive and well and puts herself back together in one like it was nothing. And yet it's here that Crypta reveals another thing that changes everything and it's that she's been secretly watching Susan throughout her entire adventure through several orbs and that she's managed to do one thing that no one else has ever done including those of her own race - Susan impressed Crypta, so much that the latter offers the former to join her and together, they will lead their army to conquer Earth to which a disgusted Susan refuses. And YET that's still not the end of it as by the climax, Crypta sees for herself the humanity Susan has and why she keeps fighting through her protecting her daughter Gerda (who as it turned out stowed away on the spacecraft her mother was taken in) and soon enough, Crypta has an unexpected change of heart and decides to help Susan in stopping her OWN plan. Against the odds, Susan and Crypta manage to put an end to the latter's robotic creations (turns out she also has giant steampunk-esque indestructible, or so it seemed, robots) and free the whole army of the mind control they're under, all on Christmas Eve. It's afterwards that the two meet together on the balcony of Susan's deluxe apartment and after one final confrontation, Crypta ends up on top of Susan where they meet eyes and they proceed to have sex. The movie ends with a stunned and shocked Susan looking up into the Christmas night sky and asking herself out loud in utter disappointment "Susan Elizabeth Gilchrist..... what have you done?" to which Crypta beside Susan herself responds "I'll tell you what you just did. You've made me the happiest Zyrod (her race) in the entire universe". They both look at each other, kiss again and proceed to have sex a second time as the camera pans out all the way to space to reveal both Earth and the now destroyed remnants of Echo Planet, credits role.

Beasts of Santa Carla kids grown up. Lost boys Au.
The three kids have varying personalities but they love each other and act like siblings. Damien was a very sensitive child easily frightened and would cry a lot. This led to the boys doing their best to toughen him up. They put Damien in sports and all sorts of activities to help with his sensitivity problem much to Mura and Stars protest. He works out a lot and usually his sisters either by being lazy or by wearing impractical shoes ' help ' him with his jogs by forcing him to carry them around.
Clarabella voice headcannon:
Panty English dub from Panty and Stocking
( Jami Lynn Marchi )
Damien voice headcannon:
Izumi Miyamura English dub from Horimiya
( Alejandro Saab )
Aneta voice headcannon:
Nana Osaki English dub from Nana
( Rebecca Shoichet )
I picked the specific characters for the voices that sounded the way the three usually acts. Clarabella usually with a bitchy attitude and snarky remarks. Damien who's usually soft spoken relaxed and kind. Aneta who sounds clinically tired and cool with rasp to her voice.

I always find it curious when someone who is fully capable of singing isn't doing the singing voice of their character. There's this event with Christina Vee and there was that Rebecca Shoichet was Twilight Sparkle's singing voice, even though Tara Strong can sing just fine.
So, two nickles, I guess.
The Rebecca thing got hilarious when they cast her to play Sunset Shimmer lmao.
Like if you pay attention during their song together in Rainbow Rocks, Twilight and Sunset sound identical because it's the same person. Thankfully she fixed this by Friendship Games but still.

My primary thoughts while watching Scott Pilgrim Takes Off were: Wow the original cast sure sound like certain English VA mainstays. Scott - Greg Ayres Ramona - Rebecca Shoichet (I'm sure there's a "Seven Evil Exes of Sunset Shimmer" fic somewhere on FIMFiction) Knives - Christine Marie Cabanos Lucas - Steve Blum Wallace - Aaron Dismuke Todd - Kirk Thornton (And in this hypothetical, Julie would have been voiced by Monica Rial, Kim could be done by Jamie Marchi, Cherami Leigh could do Stacey.) This is not a diss on the actual English voice cast, who all did quite well. I was just really amused at how their approaches were so in line with notable professional voice acting styles. Special shout-out goes to Satya Bhabha, who was so immersive I felt no need to recast Matthew Patel.
#scott pilgrim takes off#my actual take on the show is: lucas lee episode superb; series finale garbage#except for the musical excerpts; which were insanely on point for what modern musical songs are like#category: anime#huh I don't seem to have a cartoon tag
