#ICareFor erasing boundaries,  breaking barriers,   and shattering ceilings.
#ICareFor finding the strength and the peace within.
   - Rochana Dubey, artist, poet
Rochana Dubey joined our campaign in 2018. We met this amazing woman in 2017 - she was selected to exhibit her art at RE:ARTISTE’s juried show “Transformation”.
Rochana Dubey is a master of brush and word. She explains her art poetically: “When ignorance gives way to a new consciousness, the mind calms down, yet at the same instant it experiences a dramatic transformation. This consciousness of self and its inner potential, in relation to surroundings, becomes the context of my work.”
Rochana was born in India currently residing in Princeton, New Jersey.
“As an Indian contemporary artist living in diaspora, memory and cultural identity inform my work. There is a stronger need to rewind to the past and reconnect with roots. Similarities and contrasts, old and new, spiritualism and pragmatism – all intersect and connect in the absence of boundaries to create a contemporary outlook.” - Rochana Dubey

Carol Scavotto is a multi media artist, who lives and works in Rhode Island. She became a finalist at our juried show “Transformation” where she presented a piece of video art about personal transformation and survival.
The theme of Carol Scavotto’s art is identity, relationships, and human instinct.
“I come form a long line of visual communicators, and my work is about communication. My work questions and address the individuals response-ability regarding social, global and personal identity. I offer visual questions, asking viewers to contemplate a concept, opening the pathway for conversation. Often my work takes viewers a bit out of the their comfort zone, leaving the viewer to ponder alternate points of view.“ - Carol Scavotto

My name is Emma Håkansson, I live in Melbourne, Australia. I love to make art that I think can help the world in some way. For the past year I've been exploring ideas based around trauma, and the effects that a traumatic experience can have on a person, through my art. In presenting trauma openly, honestly, and in a raw way, I hoped to give people a greater understanding of What it's like to be dealing with trauma.

Knock-knock! A traveling artist found out about our campaign #ICareFor and sent us an email!
MJ Viajes is an artist whose passion is to see the world. She is currently attempting to become a successful traveling artist. She gave up most of her possessions (except for her art supplies and a small amount of clothing) in order to travel and experience the world. MJ stays in each country for as long the tourist visas allow. For now she lives in SE Asia.
MJ was born in Seattle, Washington. She primarily does portrait paintings. The artist works with acrylic paint, oil paint, and is starting to work with digital medium. She tries to capture candid moments that highlight the subject's unique personality She captures the essence of her subjects through both colorful and monochromatic subjects within one composition. The use of both techniques allows her to highlight items of interest within each piece and set the mood for each subject. MJ Viajes has been featured in art publications, including Art Buzz and has shown her art with Alfredo Arreguin. Some of her past commissions include a mural for The Seattle Ferry Service.

“My name is Lumina Wang, I’m a visual artist and actress from Taiwan, living in Paris. I care for being able to see the world as children do - keep as child eye and stay true.
Wherever - in my arts or in my life - I tried to be an honest artist and an authentic human being. In this world we could be defined in a too complicated way, I hope to take off my mask for the most of time, and not to bring artificial aesthetics or false emotions to others. At my 33 years old, I finally feel being a woman - a real one who started to grow up with a new born child.” - Lumina Wang

In Novermber 2016 Talya Gitin exhibited her interactive art piece resembling the game of Chess (”Show Your World” International Art Competition): “The less valuable you are in the game of life, the more open and larger you are. This game is meant to provoke thought and make it difficult for the player to recognize which piece is placed to do what during the play of the game. A Reality Check of how we view The Players in the game of life.”
