hey, remember being 18 years old and playing mass effect for the first time and it's got this like intense aura of being very small and very insignificant in a very big, very empty galaxy? remember playing mass effect for the first time and everything all of this is so new and mysterious, and it's 2am and you're sitting in a dark room in the light from your tv and you're playing through feros for the first time and you feel that this is someting very old and very ancient and you are somewhere you shouldn't be and you don't know what's going to happen or where you're going but you keep on. there's a tingling in your stomach and you're playing mass effect for the first time. the thorian is a milennia old sentient plant being. the rachni queen is old and telepathic and a hive mind and in pain. sovereign is an ancient machine that has not been built but is, and has always been, and this is something so alien and so unlike and beyond anything your human mind can comprehend, and this is something unexplainable and huge and as uncaring and indifferent as the empty galaxy around you. you're playing mass effect for the first time and you're walking on the surface of an almost completely empty planet with nothing but your two companions silently walking beside you and everything is so huge and empty and silent and you're so small and insignificant and it's so beautiful and so scary and you feel like you are on a rollercoaster about to drop down. you are playing mass effect for the first time and you're playing the mission on the moon and you stop and just look up at earth visible in the sky. you know this. this is home. you are playing mass effect for the first time, and the galaxy is so big, and you are so tiny, and everything is about to change for you.

it’s not even been a whole day but im already kind of miffed at how the internet talks about the new dungeon meshi episode. i think it’s kind of disrespectful to the foreshadowing and framework throughout the story thus far to treat the tonal shift like some sudden jarring thing where “now the REAL story starts” - dungeon meshi has always been about life and death and nature and the ecosystem, it’s not a rug pull, it’s expanding on themes that already exist. an obvious other side of the same coin, we didn’t know it would go there, but that doesn’t mean it’s some huge shock that it does

So there's this very old, unfinished, funny as hell overwatch SFM series on YouTube called Overclocked that I discovered a while ago and I decided to draw some of my favorite funny screenshots

Hanzo and Cassidy both being fucking dumbasses / comic relief is so Relationship Goals™

There's also these redraws from ep 3 where the series randomly switched genres from lighthearted comedy to angsty horror for some reason

Though I LOVED the Reaper Sombra father daughter angst

it lowkey pisses me off when people say Snow hates Katniss just because she reminds him of Lucy Gray

cause like.. no. he hates her because everything she does is a painful reminder that he had a choice.

when she pulled out those berries, he hated that she would rather die with Peeta than leave him behind for a life of glory and wealth.

whilst he was prepared to kill Lucy Gray for the same result.

when she volunteered in her sisters place at the reaping, he hated that she would rather die than leave her sister behind.

because he’d never do the same for Tigris, even though he arguably “owed” Tigris more than Katniss did Primrose.

when she stepped in to stop commander Thread during Gale’s whipping, he hated that she would rather put herself in the crossfire than let him die.

because he had every opportunity to, but he would never do the same for Sejanus. instead he sent him to his grave.

throughout the entire book Snow keeps choosing money and power over love, and throughout the entire book he tries to gaslight himself into thinking he didn’t have a choice.

Katniss’s actions to some extent forced him to confront his own choices. they forced him to realise that if he hadn’t acted the way he did, he could’ve still had the people he loved by his side.

then there’s the obvious thing with her you know, making the gamemakers and the regime look stupid and well, becoming the unwilling symbol of a rebellion but shh

bad news gang I just finished Court of Wanderers and I did not love it :')

Nothing's more hilarious than the downbadism Jack showed in ep 5 after overhearing Joke say that his ideal type was someone who forgives because not even 24 hours later, Jack was like -- you know that thing you did to me, five years ago, that changed the course of my life for worse and I've been holding a grudge against you, I forgive you for that. Did you hear me? I forgive you because I am a forgiving person who forgives people.

when the watch.... is over...

I asked a little while ago if I should try Overwatch 2 or Marvel Rivals but my broke ass can't run Rivals on my expensive gaming laptop (it is kind of old) or my broken Xbox (it is broken) so I had to go with Overwatch 2 on my switch. It's neat! I see the appeal of the genre

also these 3 are probably my favorites. I fucking suck as all of them but Reaper is cool, Tracer's gimmick is awesome, and Widowmaker is a cool sniper. I haven't tried everyone but I also like Ana, Reinhardt, Venture, and I'm decent as DVA just off the top of my head
