Passing Through-1.1
Previous Next Wattpad
Weeks, months, and years could have passed by. The seconds of every minute, and the minutes of every hour. But nothing mattered, nothing at all mattered to her. Everything felt like it was falling apart, and everything felt like upside down. Nothing could be certain and all she ever knew could only be described in her mind as the opposite.
That's where Reina was currently as well. As soon as she woke up after passing out what felt like five times in the last two days, having what felt like brain spams and screaming her lungs out from the pain she felt all over her body.  Burning from the inside out yet becoming so cold she felt like she was in an ice cube and a forest fire at the same time. It was worst and after stepping foot outside everything came to her.
She was here to stop the brainwashing of everyone, including her own blood brother who was sent here and failed. He was captured and tortured before they washed him as well. She watched the whole thing too, that's why the people above sent her, they put a chip inside her brain to give her a boost and help her remember.
That was why she was in so much pain the first two days in this world. Because as soon as the chip was activated she went through a painful process to get her memories back. Which was not an easy and fast process to get over with. Now exhausted and with no idea what to do or where to start in rescuing people from getting brainwashed she was hanging upside down on some monkey bars.
She had yet to know what else the chip did besides giving her memories back. She knew it would give her a boost to help her out as well not just her memories. But since she was the last hope and was sent into it without any real training of how the chip works she had to figure it out as she goes. Which ended with her yet again having no idea what to do, she started to doubt her ability to save everyone.
Maybe they sent the wrong person here
She thought as she stared into the ground below her. Her long and beautiful light brown hair fell down due to gravity making it hard for her to see very well who and what was around her. She didn't mind, she was too stuck in her mind to care. Although her tight soft red crop held her upper body perfectly, she had yet to think everything through what this position held or looked like to the outside people.
"That's quite a skill," Said a mysterious voice. since the young girl was upside down on a children's playground on the monkey bars, she could not see nor tell where it came from. Her hair was blocking her view, some of it even getting inside her mouth.
"I guess so.." She hesitated in responding in case she imagined the voice and would sound crazy for responding to it.
"Stop perving on her Sony, she's a child," Some other voice said, a woman's voice. One sounded a lot more ordering than she was.
She still kept herself in the same position, although she was starting to feel dizzy and lightheaded. Her blood was no doubt having trouble reaching her head with the weird position she had been in for a while. But she paid no mind to that feeling liking it, finding it relaxing.
"What is she doing?"
"I don't know, why? jealous you can't do that even if life depended on it?" The same guy as before said to a newer voice. Another girl, voice with a hint of disgust in her tone as well. I could already tell from her voice she was not someone I would like to interact with.
"Hey Mis, girl? why don't you get back to the normal gravity point we all currently stand on called the ground? you know before you choke on your blood"
She does have a good point, I have been like this for a while
Reina thought without saying anything. After a while considering having to interact and socialize with other people, she didn't know and start-up in this new world, she stood up. At least tried to, as she untangled herself from the bar that was holding her up and put her feet on the ground after 30 minutes, she stumbled until two strong hands held her in place.
She blinked multiple times as well as trying to shake her head to try and rid her of the dizziness she felt which wasn't all that great of an idea concerning it only made it worse. The taller and stronger-looking guy held her in place, knowing that if he let go of her too soon she would fall to her doom. She was swinging from side to side and blinking for a few minutes until she felt fine.
As soon as she could see straight again was the guy helping her by holding her in place. He was taller than her but not by a whole lot like most of her exes, he held a cute face that most would call a baby face. He wore a red leather jacket with a tight sleeveless black shirt, showing the little muscles he had obtained. He also had a silver chain with slight red, reading SG.
I wonder what that means
Reina thought having no idea what that chain meant. She turned to look around the group of people, two girls, and one other guy. All of which seemed to hold the same sort of look which was kind of scary. One of the girls had short dirty blond hair which was slightly tinted with someone's blood. While the other guy had a nasty scar running down his right eye which was covered in bruising. Whoever these people were, they were not to be messed with. Besides the guy who helped her out, all of them help is a tense and scary atmospheric vibe to them and she didn't want to tik them out. Even though she already seemed to manage to do that to one of the girls for some reason.
"What were you doing?" Asked the blond-blood girl.
"indulging in self-depressing thoughts, that include the thoughts of death and murder," Reina said with bright innocent-looking eyes. Like a switch, at that moment she had forgotten everything and anything she was thinking before. She had no idea who she was either.
What just happened?
She questioned internally, she felt like she had been thinking about something much more important than the normal death stuff she usually thought of. However, the more she tried to remember the worst her head ached which lead her to leave it be, she would worry about that later.
"Okay...well my friend over there saw you. We need some help with this job, you look edging enough mind handing a hand out" The blond looked shocked with her response as well as disturbed.
"What kind of job? and what's in it for me blondie?" Reina said giving the blond girl a slight seductive look, winking in her direction. The guy to her right looked slightly jealous but had an understanding look go through him, knowing how attractive most people thought of his close friend.
"We steal some shit, going around stabbing and shooting a couple of people here and there before we blow up this station where they hold all the wild animals, for now, we just planning on stealing some shit from this old white guy up north. Let's say 5K each?"
"Say no more, I love myself stealing people's shit," she said with a creepy smile.
"Alright darling comes on, you better be beating the boss before we start this, I told you, Jess, I saw criminal in her," The guy next to me said as he guided me to a car nearby while the rest three followed along.
After everyone is seated the car starts moving and She is suddenly hit with a sense of realization. Like ice-cold water was splashed on her, coming out of a dream so real that was leaving her wet and sticky. But it was a dream and she knew it. It was such a weird sensation, it felt like someone had taken the front wheels of her mind that was and wasn't her at the same time.
What the fuck just happened? and why did it happen.
She would have gone back on her word of agreeing to this shit show of stealing and doing so imagable. Of all the things she wouldn't normally do or be capable of doing this was on the top of her list but this was a different case. This is good in a sense. She would be able to ask them more about this world and everything she needed to know. Maybe even be one step closer to being able to find out more about those responsible for the whole brainwashing. She just had to be careful, no one could know of her true intentions. She didn't know who was a part of it or who truly was a victim of it. And she had no way of knowing how to difference either.

The Wrong Lifetime – Six // Wanda Maximoff
chapter five | story masterlist | main masterlist | wattpad | chapter seven
author’s note: i’m glad you all seemed to like the last chapter! i’m all for slow burn but i didn’t want to leave you hanging too long aha. Now onto dating territory!
Tumblr media
Since going to Blackpool with Wanda, we hadn't actually gotten another moment to ourselves. Wedding plans were picking up which kept her busy, and if not that, then I'd only see her in passing in which we'd exchange smiles before moving on.
So, I though it would be good to take her out on a date. A proper one, even if it was to be disguised as a simple outing between soon-to-be sister-in-laws. The plan was to 'bump' into her in town, which we did, then I asked her if she wanted to go to the art gallery. She'd been before, but they'd put in a new exhibition which I thought she might like.
We couldn't exactly hold hands when there, but I made the most of her presence and stood a little too close to her than a friend might. Since she'd kissed me at the beach, I wasn't able to think about anything else. And when shot me a knowing smile, I knew she felt the same.
"I like this one," I told her, pointing to a piece hung on the wall, before squinting to read the plaque. "Jedburgh Abbey from the River by Thomas Girtin."
"And why's that?" she asked, watching me with humoured eyes.
I pursed my lips, glancing between her and the painting sheepishly. "I'm not gonna lie, I just like the way the guy painted the clouds in the sky."
She stifled laughter, not wanting to draw attention from passers-by, and nudged me in the shoulder. "You're unbelievable, milaya (darling). We didn't have to come here if you don't like art."
I gave her a knowing look. "Hey, I love art. Especially when it's by a certain Sokovian artist named Wanda Maximoff."
Rolling her eyes, she shook her head. I grinned at her bashfulness, wanting to tease her but also very true with my words. Her work was my favourite, biased or not, and I still had that amazing portrait she'd done of me in my room back home. It was tucked into one of my drawers where nobody would find it. I didn't want anyone else to look at it since she'd done it for me and it was private... it was a beautiful reminder of the amazing day we'd had.
"You're poking fun, but in all seriousness, I'd actually love for my work to be up here someday," she said softly, looking at the painting before us with hopeful eyes.
"They wish they were that lucky to score someone as talented as you," I said without skipping a beat.
She cracked a smile, tilting her head in my direction. It was obvious she was losing her patience with me, but I enjoyed watching her lose it. She didn't know what to say, especially when being complimented, and it was endearing to witness.
We remained civil for the remainder of the 'date', refraining from holding hands or gazing at each other longer than friends would, and I was pretty proud of myself for not thinking about kissing her once when we were done.
As we got into the carriage to go back home, the door closed and I was going to ask her how she found it when she moved towards me in an instant, kissing me without question. I raised my hand, caressing her jaw and closing my eyes as she leaned forward, practically on my lap, not that I cared. She sucked on my bottom lip sensually before she opened her mouth, pushing her tongue into mine. I almost forgot how to breathe as she did, unprepared for such an intense kiss.
"I've been wanting to do that all day," she revealed when she pulled away.
I flushed at the contact, a dazed smile on my lips. "Huh."
She chuckled as she sat back beside me more 'appropriately'. "Thanks for taking me. I loved it."
I nodded lamely, still trying to recover from our kiss. "I'm– I'm glad."
She smirked playfully, leaning forward to press a gentle kiss to my lips before sitting back. "You're so cute."
My words still hadn't returned, so all I could do was nod before looking the other way. Her laughter filled the carriage and I wondered how I'd gotten so lucky to be in the presence of someone so perfect.
After exchanging some more kisses and actually being able to hold hands without prying eyes, we reached Wanda's home and she invited me in for some tea. Sadly, that meant we had to let go of one another, but I think she'd given me enough to remember her by as we parted, and she must have thought the same, judging from the smirk she sent my way.
We sat on the patio outside to have some tea and biscuits, enjoying the sunshine and blue skies, a rare occurrence for England. We were chatting mindlessly when her brother decided to make an appearance, helping himself to a seat between Wanda and I.
"How lovely of you to grace us with your presence, Miss Y/L/N," he said playfully, shooting me a charming smile, before reaching to grab a biscuit. Wanda slapped his hand but he stole one anyway, making her roll her eyes.
"Nice to see you, Pietro," I greeted with amusement, always enjoying his presence.
"And you," he returned, before chowing down his biscuit.
Wanda gave me a fed up look over his shoulder which he was oblivious to, and I tried not to laugh as she clearly wasn't a fan of him interrupting our time.
"So, I caught a glimpse of the wedding invitations," Pietro said, making conversation. He glanced between us with a nod of approval. "They're coming along well."
I hummed in agreement, smile becoming less real when he mentioned the wedding. Wanda didn't acknowledge his words as she fiddled with the handle of her teacup.
"Is your brother behaving, Y/N?" Pietro continued jokingly, looking to me. "I know how many admirers he has, but my sister should be his first priority."
"Oh, Piet...," Wanda breathed out with embarrassment, facepalming.
"Of course he is," I assured her brother with a small smile. "He wouldn't dare try hurting Wanda or he'd have a lot of explaining to do."
There was some playfulness in my voice, but an underlying truth to my words.
"It's sweet how close you've gotten," Pietro noticed, looking between us, before settling his gaze on me. "It's about time Wanda made friends with people who aren't me."
Cue another slap. I chuckled at her sheepish expression, amused by Pietro's antics.
"Anyway," he changed the subject for his sister's sake, "mother has been getting on my very nerve about finding a bride because you decided to get married."
Wanda rolled her eyes. "We both know I didn't decide, Piet."
He sighed over-dramatically. "Well, it's because of your engagement that she's now on my back about it."
"Join the club," I joked, knowing exactly what he meant. "My mum was already on my back about finding a husband, but since this engagement, it's ten times more annoying."
Pietro laughed. "Oh, no. Has she lined up suitors? My parents like to point out every pretty woman they see to me in hopes I'll make a move. It's hardly productive."
"I haven't asked her for fear she'll pull out a folder with all of the eligible bachelors in town," I said, half joking and half serious.
Pietro snickered as Wanda rolled her eyes in the background. She should have been happy I was getting along with her brother. He was actually quite entertaining to be around.
"It's funny you say that because you're one of the women my parents pointed out," he admitted.
"Oh, God, so they're saying the same thing to you?" I asked with a groan, and he nodded regretfully. "Isn't it just the worst?"
"You're a lovely girl, Y/N, don't get me wrong," he began gently, "but I don't like you like that."
I raised my hand for a high five. "Me and you both."
Laughing once again, he returned my high five and I was glad we were on the same page. The amount of people that had been hinting at getting to know Wanda Maximoff's very single brother was getting pretty annoying. It was nice to know he was just as irritated at the insinuation as I was.
"Okay, I should leave you both to it," Pietro concluded, slapping his knees and standing up. Looking to me, he said, "Miss Y/L/N, it was as lovely as ever to make your acquaintance."
I smiled as he winked playfully before looking to his disgruntled sister.
"Dear sister, the pleasure is always mine," he continued to tease, and she slapped him once more, making him dodge her and begin to leave. "Love you, too!" he called before heading back inside.
I laughed at his silliness and relaxed in my seat, looking back to Wanda. She didn't seem half as amused as I was as she drummed her fingers on the table and chewed on the inside of her cheek.
"I may be mistaken, love, but it looks like you're jealous," I poked fun at her.
She rolled her eyes and her jaw tensed before she finally looked to me, expression softening. "Can you blame me?" she asked quietly. "You're both single. You're both similar age. Everybody talks."
I shrugged nonchalantly, having a sip of my tea. "True... but I've got my eye on another Maximoff anyway."
She sighed, small smile creeping on her lips. Subtly moving my chair closer to hers, I grabbed her hand under the table and squeezed. My thumb stroked her hand softly as I leaned on the palm of my hand on the table.
"You look really beautiful today," I admitted in a hushed voice. "I should have told you earlier."
She, too, leaned into the palm of her hand as she watched me with an enchanting gaze. "So do you, milaya (darling)."
Unable to resist, I glanced around quickly before kissing her cheek and pulling away. Letting go of her hand, I busied myself with the tea and biscuits again.
"Biscuit?" I offered her, and she began to laugh at my attempt at acting casual.
Playing along, she accepted the biscuit from my hand. But a knowing smile was on her lips as she nodded. "Thank you."
Being with Wanda was a luxury in itself, even if we had to keep it private.
To everybody else, we were merely two women about to become family who happened to create a bond that was close. But we both knew what it really was and weren't eager to say it. Because saying it made it true and that meant that what we were doing became realer than it was in our daydreams and hidden moments.
I did find myself wracked with guilt sometimes – particularly the times when Y/B/N would gush about how excited he was to marry her. Wanda was technically cheating on him with me, his sister, but that fact was something that was still blurry to me.
We had no choice but to lie and be secretive. In a world like this, where we would never be able to be together like we wanted to, all we had was secrecy and deception. Did that still make us bad people?
I tried not to think about what would happen when she actually married my brother. The future was something I was adamant on pushing to the back of my mind because I knew what it would hold and I just wanted to enjoy the time I had with her. Convincing myself that what we had wasn't serious, just a heat of the moment relationship maybe, made things easier to accept. But really, I knew that whenever she looked my way with her signature smile and dazzling eyes, it was way more than I envisioned. She was way more.
So, trying not to be dragged down with the weight of reality, I vowed to myself to only focus on the now. Focus on the moments I shared with her whilst we could. Anything beyond that and I'd surely snap.
"Medovyy (honey), the Y/L/Ns are here!" Iryna called behind her, before looking to my family and I as we stood at her front door. "Please, all of you, come in!"
She ushered us into the main hall before closing the door after us. Perfectly timed, the rest of her family left the living room and came to greet us.
Automatically, my eyes found Wanda's and she was already looking my way, her dimple making a show as she attempted to reign in an excited smile. I did the same, trying to ignore the way my heart stirred upon seeing her.
Oleg and Iryna welcomed my parents and then me, kind expressions accompanying genuine greetings. In the corner of my eye, I saw Pietro shaking Y/B/N's hand before Wanda took his place, accepting a kiss on the cheek from Y/B/N. It wasn't jealousy that I felt whenever they were together, at least not entirely – they were to be married, what more could I expect? – but it wasn't anything pleasant either.
"Ah, my favourite Y/L/N," Pietro beamed upon shaking my hand, making my lips twitch upwards. "You excited for dinner? We're having salmon."
"Ecstatic, Pietro," I answered with a playful eye roll. "All I've been thinking all day."
He chuckled at my sarcasm before letting go of my hand and moving over to greet my parents. Wanda was next, her shoulders relaxing when she stepped before me with a soft smile present on her lips.
"It's good to see you," she said, but her eyes said much more than that. "How have you been?"
Exchanging a friendly-looking hug, my body was warm where she pressed against me. Touching her always sent a rush of emotion through me and I looked forward to it every time.
"I've been good," I answered aloud, before whispering into her ear, "Better now."
She squeezed my waist inconspicuously in response before letting go. "That's good. You know, we've got time before dinner and I wanted to show you the painting I've been working on lately. Wanna see?"
I glanced at my parents and hers for permission, knowing they'd heard her question.
"Just try not to take too long since dinner will be on the table soon," Iryna said with a nod. "It's so good to see you girls getting along."
Breathing out slightly, I smiled gratefully before letting Wanda intertwine our fingers and drag me up the staircase. She led me past several doors before we finally reached hers and she tugged me inside.
As soon as the door closed, she was quick to connect our lips in a heated, desperate kiss. I relaxed against her instantly, my hands falling to her side and pulling her closer. Her fingernails gently scratched the sensitive skin behind my neck, giving me goosebumps, and I let out an involuntary gasp at the feeling.
When we pulled away for a breath, her nose brushed against mine and she pressed a final kiss to my lips, slower and more tasteful compared to the first, before smiling at me.
"I missed you," she said, as if reading my mind.
A breathy laugh escaped my lips. "It's only been a week since we last saw each other, love."
She shrugged, arms laced around my neck. "A week too long."
Raising a brow judgementally, I gave her a knowing look. She wasn't embarrassed in the slightest as her half-lidded eyes met mine with a confident smirk.
"Did you just pull me up here to have a quick snog?" I teased her.
"Well, yes," she said, making me laugh again, before adding, "And I wanted to ask you if you'll go to the park with me tomorrow. A picnic. If you want."
She bit her lip anxiously, eyes darting elsewhere as she waited for an answer. I always found it amusing how she could be so confident one second and then so innocently adorable the next.
"Wanda, I'd love to." My thumb rubbed circles on her waist as I kept ahold of her. "I hear it's supposed to be nice weather tomorrow, too."
She pursed her lips. "Even if it rained, I'd still drag you to the park with me."
"Somehow, I feel like that's true," I countered with a ghost of a smile on my lips. She tried to hide her own smile and I continued, "Was there an actual painting you wanted to show me or...?"
Breathing out with amusement, she intertwined our fingers and pulled me to the back of her room where her 'studio' was. Since the last time I'd visited, there were plenty of new additions to her work, all as wonderful as the next.
"This one is from the beach at Blackpool," she said, stopping before a medium-sized canvas depicting the horizon. "When we sat on the bench. Just before I kissed you."
My heart fluttered at the memory and I studied the canvas, recalling it looked similar to her watercolour painting of the same view. She'd done a spectacular replica in oil paints, reminiscent of the trip we took.
"You should already know what I'm going to say," I said, looking to her knowingly. "But just so you can hear it again, I absolutely love this. You're so talented."
She rolled her eyes to distract from the pink spreading across her cheeks. "Thank you... and again, thank you for taking me. Seeing an actual water source upfront really helped me refine my paintings. It feels so much more real now."
I looked back to the painting, noticing what she meant. Either way, I loved both versions of her work, before and after going to the beach.
"You did good, love."
She squeezed my hand gently before sighing quietly with realisation. "We should probably go back down."
"We should," I agreed, glancing at her. "Thanks for showing me these."
She cracked a smile, teeth nibbling on her bottom lip. "Always."
Reluctantly, the two of us returned downstairs and joined the others as they were settling at the dining table. Wanda and I sat side by side, and this time when her fingers brushed mine, I made no move to pull away.
The meal was good, but as usual, I found myself zoning out. The conversation made its rounds, falling to me as the Maximoffs wanted to know how I was doing, then moved on, giving me chance to focus on eating my dinner and getting through the evening. I knew that at one point, everybody was talking about some play that was showing in the theatres.
Bits of the conversation were going in one ear and out the other and I was minding my own business until Wanda's bare foot rubbed against my leg under the table. The sensation of her skin against mine made my knee bounce up and hit the table with surprise, earning everyone's attention.
"Are you okay, dear?" Oleg asked, noticing my discomfort.
I cleared my throat, straightening up and ignoring the stifled smile Wanda had in my peripheral vision.
"I'm good, sorry about that," I apologised awkwardly, shivering when she dragged her foot back down my leg. "You were talking about the play, right?"
That seemed to distract them, as they leapt right back into conversation, giving me a chance to breathe out with relief. I looked to Wanda, watching her lean on her palm and hide a smirk as she stared at me with mischievous eyes.
Glaring and nudging her in the arm subtly, I looked back to my food, but she didn't move her foot, nor her hand. Both brushed my against me, starting a fire on my skin and making me swallow hard. She kept like that for the whole evening, making my head dizzy and leaving me at a loss for words.
And when I looked her way, she was already staring, definitely knowing the effect she had on me.
"I just need to find my shoes and we can go," I told Wanda the next morning, before our date at the park.
She'd come to pick me up at my house and was hanging around my room as I finished getting ready. From her place at my desk, she hummed in acknowledgment before distracting herself with my notebooks.
"I see you're making great use of the notebook I picked out for you," she commented, and I glanced towards her mid-search for my shoes, seeing she was flicking through the already-filled book.
"I have a lot of ideas, what can I say?" I joked, before looking under the pile of clothes near my wardrobe.
She chuckled, before falling quiet again. I wasn't really paying attention to what she was doing until she spoke up after a few minutes.
"Y/N, your writing is beautiful," she said, making me look her way to see an amazed smile on her lips. "I didn't know you could write like this. I mean– I should have because you helped write that letter Y/B/N gave to me, but this..."
I shrugged awkwardly, distracting myself with my search again. "It's okay, I guess."
She exhaled mockingly. "Okay? Y/N, this is miles better than okay. Why didn't you show me this sooner?"
I smiled satisfactorily as I finally located my shoes. Grabbing them, I approached Wanda and took a seat on the edge of my bed, opposite her seat at my desk.
"Because it'll never be anything more than what you're looking at?" I said rhetorically. "It'll only ever be words confined to pages that nobody will see?"
She gave me a knowing look. "I think you forget that my brother is a publisher, dorogoy (dear)."
"And I think you forget that he is the publisher to my brother, dear," I retorted playfully.
She sighed, shaking her head and putting the notebook back on my desk. "You know Pietro would love this, right? He'd sign you in a heartbeat."
I snickered at the ludicrous thought. "Wanda, you're a little biased, love."
She rolled her eyes. "Writers write for audiences. I am an audience. I consume literature. And I'm telling you that it's not just me who would read what you have to write."
I tried not to laugh as I pulled my shoes onto my feet.
"Are you really telling me that you'd never want to get published?" she asked with a raised brow.
My heart ached at the thought of such a fantasy. "Of course I would, Wanda." I met her eyes, which were already peering across from me patiently. "I've dreamed of that. But it's just not what's to happen. My family have told me that many times. In another lifetime, maybe."
She pursed her lips, studying me thoughtfully. I offered her a smile and stood up, holding out my hand.
"Forget that," I told her. "I believe you promised me a picnic."
Thankfully, she dropped the subject and accepted my hand, letting me pull her up. The topic wasn't brought up again and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
We went to the park like she wanted and she brought a picnic basket with her, having packed a lovely variety of finger foods and snacks.
As she was unpacking the food onto the blanket, I narrowed my eyes at her. "You know, now that we're finally alone, I can say how unfair it was of you to do what you did last night."
She played dumb, shrugging, focusing on neatening up the sandwiches on a plate. "I don't know what you mean, milaya (darling)."
"Huh. Sure you don't."
Giggles flew from her lips as she glanced at me through her eyelashes. "I'm sorry, I couldn't help it. I just love seeing you squirm. You get all tense and it's so cute."
I pursed my lips. "I figured. You've been watching me squirm since we met."
She grinned knowingly before straightening up. "Okay, I made sandwiches and there's also some coleslaw, fruit, cheese... I made some Sokovian dishes, too, if you want to try them. Okroshka – it's like a cold soup. Then there's this olivye salad. It's... well, salad."
I smiled at the thought she put into it all and grabbed her hand between us. We'd set the picnic out behind a tree so we wouldn't have curious eyes watching us. It didn't look like we were overtly hiding, but we still got our privacy, too.
"It all looks great, Wanda," I said with appreciation. "I can't wait to try it."
She squeezed my hand in response before letting go to grab some paper plates. After popping a strawberry in her mouth, she asked, "Do you just want a bit of everything?"
I leaned on the back of my hands as I hummed a 'yes'. She began to put me some food in and I watched her, admiring the sight.
Her hair was half-pulled back today, falling in waves down her back and exposing her perfectly sculpted jawline. Everything about her was perfect – the way she moved was elegant and graceful, even when her hair fell over her shoulder and in her way; she simply moved it back with a flick of her hand and resumed what she was doing. The sun caught her immaculately, her hair glowing bright under the light and her eyes magnificently green as they focused.
As always, she took my breath away.
"Here," she said, holding out the plate towards me and pulling me from my reverie.
I accepted the plate and fork, returning her smile, before she watching as she began to make another plate for herself.
"You sure this is fancy enough for you?" I asked jokingly, stabbing my fork into a carrot. "I heard you and my brother went to a very luxurious restaurant the other night."
She met my eyes, holding amusement in her own. "Jealousy doesn't look good on you, milaya (darling)."
I kissed my teeth and rolled my eyes. "I'm not jealous, I just– it's so annoying listening to him talk about how beautiful you are or how funny you are or how kind you are."
"Oh, so you don't think I'm any of those things?" she teased, trying to get a rise out of me.
I titled my head towards her. "Of course I know you're all those things. But it doesn't mean I like hearing him talk about it constantly..."
Clearly amused, she erupted into laughter and I felt my face heating up with embarrassment. I know it sounded like I was whining, but it was true. Sometimes, I wasn't envious of my brother but rather at the fact that he could actually take Wanda out properly. He could be seen with her in public and hold her hand without fear of getting looks or disowned. He had the privilege of being with her and it wasn't fair.
"You may hear him talk about it, but there's one thing I can assure you that you get that he doesn't," she said when recovering from her laughter.
I stared at her with an exasperated sigh. "And what's that?"
She smiled confidently, glancing around quickly, before leaning forward and kissing me softly. As quickly as it came, it disappeared, leaving me desiring more.
Licking my lips, I couldn't tear my eyes from hers. "You know, you're a really good kisser."
She chuckled at my reaction and I found myself leaning in again, entranced by the way she tasted. Putting my plate to the side, I raised a hand to pull her closer, getting better access to her mouth.
She tasted sweet like the strawberry she'd just eaten and I swiped my tongue across her lip, indicating I wanted her to part her them. She did, allowing me to slip my tongue in and wrestle with hers, revelling in the way she tasted. My heart was thumping loudly in my chest as she let out a moan, it reverberating in my mouth and giving me goosebumps.
When lack of oxygen became an issue, she pulled away breathlessly, flushed cheeks adorned with a smile.
"As lovely as that was, I actually want to eat what I made," she ridiculed playfully.
"Yes, we will," I assured her, my hand moving from her neck up to her jaw. My thumb touched her lips, outlining them tenderly, subconsciously committing them to memory. "We'll get back to it."
She wanted to laugh, but I moved forward and caught her bottom lip between mine, unable to stay away. It was wrong, the rush I felt in my gut and the warmth that spread all over my body and the tingles that travelled down my spine. Because I knew what it all meant, but admitting it was a different story. So, I didn't.
I just continued to kiss the girl before me, knowing I could have kissed her forever and not regretted a single thing.

Enhypen reacting to you cheating in a game to win
More enha timeeee I've got more stuff in the works for them so soon I'll make a masterlist! Doing a mixture of both video games and arcade games in this. If it's not obvious to tell from my past fics I love me some video games I'm now super into Genshin atm!! Heeseung is absurdly long btw sorry about that he's the only one I actually had an idea for from a random tropes list on Wattpad the rest I wrote the prompt games and ideas for sitting through a school lecture
Pairing: Enhypen x reader
Genre: fluff, crack
Warning: swearing!
Gif credits to rightful owner ✨
Heeseung
Thinking of a way to spend time with your boyfriend and have a fun date
You went to play laser tag, there's no physical harm in laser tag
Problem here is you're both competitive
And deciding against being on the same team
Decided to go being on opposite team
Whoever lost has to buy lunch
So going into the game in the black out neon room full of obstacles you both had one thing on your mind
"I'm going to win" was the one thought racing through both of your heads (spoiler alert you won in the end)
Protecting your chestplate for your life in fear of someone shooting you
The game got very heated but you thought strategically
You didn't try to find him (that was his goal to find you, but by his height yells or cheers of success eliminating a player you knew where he was 99% of the time) you actually avoided him
You went to get out all of his teammates
It wasn't hard you where in it to win it
You realized there's no way it's not just you and Heeseung now
An idea came to mind
Yelling to him you said
"Heeseung I have an idea to make this fun for us , meet me at the middle since I don't want to yell"
You both made your way to the middle very cautious of eachother but he was very curious of the challenge
Quickly you explained that you two should go on opposite ends of the laser tag maze but each step you take you have to do one shot no matter what
Due to your limited amo this intrigued Heeseung
How he could strategically move his lanky body around the maze without loosing tok much amo
He agreed
And you leaned in for a kiss before "putting the plan to action"
He quickly accepted the kiss closing his eyes taking in the moment before having to head to the opposite corner
That was until he heard the "Defeated" noise come from his chest plate as you shot him in the chest neon red lights covering the what used to be blue chestplate
You giggled as you broke the kiss
"UNFAIR" Heeseung yelled
"We can talk about it over lunch" you said putting your hand in his
You explained your true strategy to him at lunch and how you made that plan up just so he wouldn't kill you on spot
He peas so pouty
Just ate his food and sulked
"You owe me a fist game and next time let's try that challenge I was excited baby"
He'd say with just 🥺 eyes
Pls win this boy some sort of gift he deserves a pick me up

Jay
You guys where having a great time having an in home date
Then you disrespected man's gaming skills
Oh all hell broke loose into a heated argument
"I totally bet I could beat you in Tekken"
"Oh you fucking wish"
"Who do you main"
"Roger" (Roger is a Kangaroo)
"What the fuck are you doing? Representing Jake's home? That character takes no skill to beat people as"
"Yeah well who do you main"
"Is that even a question? Alisa Bosconovitch. A cyborg robot lady with fucking jet legs and chainsaw arms you can't tell me that's not cool"
"You're telling me I'M the one that plays someone that takes no skill to play as?"
You both knew there was only one way to settle this
Jay got out Playstation and everything for it and put it as a 5 match game
Settling yourselves into the game you both where doing actually really well
Way too well actually it was 2 to 2 so whoever won this round one the game
Your anxiety got too high
You where not gonna let this dude win
He'd be too cocky for his own good holding it over you
Quickly you had an idea as you saw his health was only 50% of the way nearing death and your ultra power and held up enough exp
"BABY IS THAT A SPIDER" you yelled looking at the ground near his leg
Causing him to roll away from his spot fearing a spider near his leg loosing focus
That's when you charged at his character
You could see the soul leave his body
When he saw the pink and magenta hair move speedy across the screen straight to his sweet little kangaroo in boxing gloves and a neck tie
"K.O" filling the screen you knew his yell was coming before he even did it
"AAAAAAAAA"
"WAS THERE EVEN A SPIDER"
"No baby I just had to through you off your rthym"
Man he was HURT
"I can't tell if that was foul or not. I'm going to talk with Niki on if what you did was fair or not"
"Babe it's not that deep-"
"No No No you owe me a rematch, kiss and patience as I consult with Niki"
Tumblr media
Jake
Gosh this sweet boy
You two where playing dead by daylight on switches laying on opposite sides of the couch so you couldn't see eachothers screen
And you just kept scaring Jake coming up out of no where behind him
"Baby please just kill me you don't have to run up behind me" he was so scared please(〒﹏〒)
He was giving you puppy dog eyes that quickly went to fear as he shrieked from you running up behind him as he tried to start the car for the 18478282 time
You realized he was actually almost done fixing the car due to his pears so you went on a killing spree it was just you, Jake and some girl who was searching for fuel that you couldn't find
Getting back to Jake you realized he actually started the car and was ready to drive it and win the game
You hid behind a tree so he wouldn't see you
So in that moment you said "Jake can you toss the blanket I'm really cold"
Jake is too much if a gentle men he did so immedietly with a smile on his face you felt a little bad for what you where doing ngl
You took this chance and killed Jake's character
He knows that's how the game works that you you still could've done that without
But boy still yelled that it was unfair
Another boy who would just pout
Beware next round he's not going to be nice and will play the murderer
Tumblr media
Sunghoon
Who knew a game of thumb war would get so aggressive
You where just waiting for the time to pass for a cafe to open up since you guys where too early before opening
The glares you shot eachother where unreal
Neither of you wanted to loose and both where confident in winning
But one thing was tempting you
The sign flipping over to open on the front door
So in that quick moment you felt really bad
But you stepped on his toe as you lifted your arms down and quickly put your thumb over his
"12345678910 I WIN"
"NO YOU DIDNT THAT WAS TOTALLY CHEATING"
He was so upset omg
The glare on his face
You know the look like just 😐 but definitely angry
But he couldn't hide the smile on his face when you leaned in to kiss his cheek
"I needed the game to end the cafes open now baby,,,"
He went blank for a second confused then
"OH SHIT YOU'RE RIGHT WE WHERE IN LINE FOR THE CAFE LETS GET IN"
A smile filled his face and he moved your hands to be in an actual hand holding way as you too went in
But don't get me wrong
This boy getting a rematch
And if you playing dirty he'll play dirty too
But for now he'll be fine having this cafe date of coffee/tea and pastries with you
Tumblr media
Sunoo
Rthym games aren't a competition
But you guys made it one-
Who could get a higher score??
Originally a joke gone TOO far
Since here you are playing one song from Superstar Woollim, Superstar SM and Superstar JYP
Just 3 main and random superstar rthym games
Each thing was going alright then you got to Woollim
You both played the same songs but each got to choose a song
Woollim you knew The Eye was hard so you chose it and had him go first
He was doing surprisingly well though
Too well🤔
But suddenly Jungwon entered the room
You knew what to do
Make that boy jealous
"Hi bubs! How are you?" You said looking up to Jungwon
Jungwon was very polite asked you how you where
And Sunoo was not having it
He's fine with you being friends with all of enha
He encourages it!
But bubs is a pet name that's for him and him only😔😔
This caused his attention to tare away for a second
Suddenly in the blink of an eye his heart dropped as the "missed" noise came through the phone
The yELL
He was so mad
Once the song was done he immedietly went
"Did you do that on purpose?"
"Sort of"
And then you just did your turn and this boy gasped and look at you likeヽ༼⁰o⁰;༽ノ
He would be pettyyyyy
He'd be so mad
Pouting and glaring at you
Just completely done
You'd have to go in with a LOT of cuddles and affection
But he'd still not budge for a while
You got a better score than him so you won
But he will hold this over you whenever he wants something he'll be like
"remember when you cheated in a game we where playing by making me jealous? That was a little too much don't you think? Now grab me one of the ice cream bars from the freezer"
Tumblr media
Jungwon
Wonnie this precious boy
Ppuyo ppuyo Tetris is not a game to play with others
It ruins relationships, friendships, family bonds (from personal experience as someone who got grilled on their Tetris skills while playing 1v1 while my friend was also doing terrible)
He got it since the characters looked cute
And Tetris is fun!
So why not??
You guys started playing it on the switch and everything was fine at first
Then it started getting faster
Wonnie chose the annoying little wizard guy that just yells every 5 seconds
It was driving you both up a wall ngl
So you where like how do I cheat in Tetris,,,
You realized you where gonna get a 5 in 1 move so it was gonna fuck up his play real hard
But if he realizes that's your move he can make one just as strong if he puts his brain to realize what spots he has open and he's good at coming back from riskfull moments
So you digged deep in your brain to think of something quick
It hit you then
"Wonnie did I ever tell you who my Enhypen bias was"
His face just sort scrunched and he was like ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯ I thought it was me? Moment
"wouldn't it be me? I never thought to ask"
"Oh okay" legit you had gone in with the 5 in 1 move and he hadn't looked at the silver blocks that quickly started to fill his screen he wanted to know
"nonono who is it?" Turned to you he didn't even see the mess that was on his screen
Until he heard the god for saken wizard just yell in defeat
"wait no that's unfair you can't drop something like that on me while we where in a 1v1 match"
His eyes he would just ಠ︵ಠ
Boy so sad :((
He lost the game and now he doesn't know if you bias him or not
If you do bias him you'd just tell him and he'd be like you stressed me out for noThing??
If you didn't bias him he'd be fine with it but he'd need a little moment of confirmation
Idk give this boy some kisses you stressing him out
Tumblr media
Niki
Intense DDR fight let's go
This boy don't go down without a fight
Neither do you
But as the levels kept going and the energy got more and more intense
You know it was very likely Niki could win
That boy is dancing prodigy type of guy
So he be doing these steps while also the hand work of the dance itself just to flex
Done with the cute boys snarky behavior
You did the one thing that would throw him of his rthym
Pretend to get hurt
You crouched in a way and made it seem like your knee was in pain but you where still doing the steps
Niki was gonna look over to you to be snarky and witty
But you looked in pain and this giant baby got panicked
"nononono baby are you okay? If you're in pain don't worsen your injury we can stop playing, what about your knee hurts?" He was panicking and you immedietly felt so bad
He stopped moving and so his score got worse and worse
You felt so bad you pretended to just act it out a lil more
"no don't worry Riki it's okay I'll be fine"
"don't say that you're in pain you could worsen your condition, let's find out what happened maybe you just buckled your knee? I've done that, be more careful please"
He legit went over to your board and tried to just stop your movements and left a kiss on your forehead
The song would end and your score would be higher but you would never do that as a cheat again
You didn't even have the courage to tell Riki after
He continued to be just so sweet and caring throughout the date
Would probably even text you afterwards like "Im sorry you injured your knee a little but I'm glad afterwards you felt better and I had a lot of fun :))"
Pls you better keep that all in till the day you die or tell him it's up to you but don't mess with this pore boy again like that pls(〒﹏〒)

Peeta mellark x male reader
We all know who Katniss Everdeen is, but what if Primrose hadn’t been chosen but another boy from another unfortunate family? YOUR family.
Info: This is basically a reader insert and I’ve changed a few rules, not ground breaking though. The reader is a bit bland for now but I plan for his actions to be different. Because he has different moral grounds from Katniss and such. Would appreciate feedback! FEEL FREE TO POINT OUT TYPOS. GRAMMARLY SOMETIMES DOESN’T DO MY DYSLEXIC ASS JUSTICE
Part one: Over there, buddy
Part two:You’re here right now. :)

I separated with Gale and Katniss for a while, telling them I needed air. I sighed, leaping from branch to branch in the thicket of trees. Bread, not just bread, baker's bread. If I'm lucky I could get just enough squirrels for the baker, he had a taste for it but his wife was much of a witch, so he only buys it when she's not around.
I remembered how she found me stealing some burnt bread from the trashcan. I looked at her with wide eyes, frozen, I thought I was going to die, stealing was punishable for death, after all. But she just let me go, screaming about her frustration of Seams picking through her trash.
I got bread that day either way.
I landed on a sturdy branch, spotting a squirrel on the tree adjacent to me; it was quite huge, I'm sure he'd love this. Let's just hope the witch isn't home by the time I give this to him.
I crouched down, still as a statue as I watched the squirrel run up and down the tree. I pulled out the thin, glistening dagger, unwrapping its course, leather bindings, which became a makeshift thin rope. I felt my eyes unconsciously widen,  watching the squirrel's movements.
My arm aimed, then with a simple flick, the dagger whistled through the air. The small creature was then pinned to the bark of the tree through its eyes. The dagger's blade was thin enough to not damage anything when aimed right.
I pulled on the rope, the blade coming back, dragging the animal carcass with it. A small smile tugged on my face, I can get bread.
Kunal was surely panicking, he was the type to worry about the smallest of things. He once stepped on a cat's tail, Buttercup, Primrose's cat and he bawled, nobody could calm him down. Until he was offered food, that is.
I chuckled at the memory, slowly pulling the blade off the head of the squirrel. I held it in my hands victoriously, a grin on my face. I whistled a small 3 tone song, the chirping mocking birds falling silent before they imitated the tone.
After meeting up, we went back home, passing by the Hob. It was sort of a black market, where coals are transported directly to trains. I disliked it here, the amount of coal dust always bothered me, so when I come here I tend to cover my nose.
We managed to trade six of the fish for good bread, the other two for some salt. The lady who sells soup, the one that always glares at me because I've insulted her soup on multiple occasions, Greasy Sae: took half the greens we gathered, along with the dead dog meat that she calls "beef".
That's why I hate her soups, though it's not like I have much of an option, we can't afford luxury here. Unlike those obnoxious, entitled, privileged people in the Capitol. My jaw clenched at the mere thought of those scums.
We finish our business on the market, so we went to the mayor's house, who was particularly fond of strawberries. We knocked on the back door, his daughter, Madge opening it for us.
She's in Katniss and I's year sits beside us at almost every event because we don't really have groups of friends. For being the mayor's daughter you'd expect her to be an entitled brat or maybe a snob, but she was alright, she kept to herself.
I like that, I hate noisy people, They'll scare away the game, that and I've never really liked loud noises. I still remember the explosions in the mines, it was traumatizing, even though my father didn't meet death there. I really wished he had.
Madge didn't wear her usual attire, instead, she wore an expensive white dress, her blonde hair up with a pink ribbon. Reaping clothes. I felt my face scrunch up, that day was supposed to be a form of celebration. It's more of a way for the capitol to show who's in control.
We were being punished for the crimes of the people who failed, disguised as some form of celebration. It's disgusting.
"Pretty dress," Gale complimented. Madge shoots him a look, trying to see if it's genuine or if he was just being ironic. It was a pretty dress, but it was a waste.
She smiled, "Well, if I'm going to the Capitol, I want to look nice, don't I?"
I clenched my jaw, "But you won't be going to the Capitol," I said coolly, my voice monotone. My eyes landed on a small, circular pin on her dress. Real gold. The testament to the fact that she probably won't be chosen. "You probably have five entries, compared to us, that's a blessing."
"That's not her fault," Katniss said. Madge looked slightly hurt, probably because I've never really spoken my thoughts to her, I try my best to be polite when she engages a conversation with me.
"I know," I responded plainly. Madge smiled towards me, though it was clear it wasn't exactly genuine. She then handed the money for the berries. She looked towards Katniss "Good luck, Katniss"
"You too," She responded.
We walked toward the Seam, I can't help but feel angry. Her? Going to the Capitol? What a joke. When you're twelve your name gets put in the pile once, thirteen twice then so on. Up until your eighteen, where your name is entered seven times.
But the thing is, the rich have an advantage. You can enter your name willingly in the pile when you're starving in exchange for some tesserae. I had been doing this since I was twelve, having entered my name 3 times, for my mother, brother and myself.  Every year following suite, it has always been like this.
Now at the age of 16, I've entered my name twenty times, same with Katniss. Gale was in even greater danger, with a number of forty-two.
And she'll be the tribute this year? It can happen but it's deadly slim. I knew Gale felt the same way, listening to him rant about tesserae in the woods with Katniss was enough confirmation, along with the fact that I join in on the rants. Always end it with a promise to destroy the Capitol, somehow.
But what good does that do us?
Gale, Katniss and I divide our spoils, though it wasn't really the evenest distribution.  Gale got more, understandably since he has more mouths to feed.
"See you guys in the square," Katniss said, Gale nodded, "Wear something pretty," he joked.
I decided to stop by the bakery, by then the witch should be home but I took my chances. There was Mr Mellark, sitting outside, watching the pigs. He saw me from the corner of his eye, he grinned. "Greyback!' he called.
"Mr Mellark, still up for some squirrel?" I ask, holding the fat one up. He nodded, "You're lucky my wife isn't here, yet. Hold on, I'll get the bread for Kunal," he said, rushing inside.
I walked to the backdoor of the bakery so that he wouldn't trouble himself that much. I waited awkwardly outside, looking at a small bird fluttering about. I whistled, holding my finger out.
The bird landed on my finger, making me smile. From the corner of my eye, I saw a boy, blonde, stocky. Could probably kill me, if I'm being honest. Even though I was fast, I wasn't strong.
Soon enough, the bird flew away with the arrival of the baker, with a loaf of sweet, savoury bread, hot from the oven. "Here you go, Greyback."
I nodded, handing him the squirrel. "Oh!" he hummed, "Have you met my son, Peeta?" he asked, a smile on his face, "You're in the same year, yes?"
I didn't know what to say. Sure, I know him but I don't know that well him that well. My eyes travelled to the boy, who simply waved and briskly walked away. "I don't think so," I answered.
"I better be going, Mr Mellark. Nal needs his favourite bread after all," I said, flashing a small smile before I left. A small pit of dread boiled in my stomach, something bad is going to happen.
But then again, it's Reaping day, nothing good ever happens.

Gently, you hooked your fingers into the thin gold chains dangling around his neck. They were dim under the shadow of his chin and his eyes flickered down briefly as you slowly pulled the crosses out from underneath his t-shirt. You ran your fingers back and forth, moving the pendants along the chains as if they were on a zipline.
“Still looking, love?” he asked, voice slightly more strained. You nodded, extending your index finger to play with the chest hairs peeking out from his neckline.
Then, you stopped. Almost in tandem with your fist closing around the chains, Harry tipped his cap back before ducking down to kiss you. You swayed, senses overwhelmed -- his skin was under your nose, his mouth was over yours, his groan was in your ears, and his hands were slinking behind you, shielding your back as he pressed you into the shelving. Right then, he was the world. Everything and everyone outside of this aisle was muted and shunned into total darkness. Tentatively, you wrapped your hand tighter in his necklaces and tugged, and all but immediately he dug his fingers into your back without so much as taking a breath. You whimpered and, hand still tangled, you slid it up his neck. You’d just gotten your forearm around his neck when he pulled away.
“I--” He cleared his throat, eyes closed, and pulled his cap down by the brim before pushing it back up again. “Don’t think they really have what m’lookin’ for today,” he said.
Your heart sank, blood still pounding through your veins and head dizzy.
“I think-- f’we can maybe-- d’you wanna go home? Maybe?”

Transitions were… tricky.
Before you and Harry had joined hands and taken the leap, you were convinced there was nothing worse than the agonizing tickle of did he or didn’t he, would you or wouldn’t you. There was nothing worse than your racing heart when he let his hand linger in more than friendly ways -- in the dip of your lower back, across your shoulder, anywhere he could get that wasn’t copping a feel. Nothing worse than resting your face in the crook of his neck, nose brushing his skin, and listening to him talk through his chest, voice somehow deeper that way. Nothing worse than watching his face fall when you said no, you couldn’t get dinner with him. Why? You had a dinner date with someone else.
Even now you remembered the pang of his confusion and how his easy smile had slipped from his face.
Not long after that he’d cornered you in his visibly nervous resolve. It ended with you perched on top of your kitchen counter, legs spread and him between them as you made out in sweet relief.
How’d you not known? How’d you not have any idea? You’d teased that you were blinded by your pining, but it was bad for him, too, he’d insisted. Awful wondering how to go about it without fucking up a friendship if friendship was all you wanted. All those times of trying to initiate a shift -- first with a slow drawl of, “Is this ok?” while dragging his thumb across the backs of your knuckles in more than the quick passes he’d done in the past. Then, the “All right?” he’d rumbled in your ear when he’d kept you in a hug longer than either of you usually did had you arching into him at the time. To his credit, he hadn’t laughed. If anything, he’d pulled you closer so all of you was stretched across all of him and he’d held on tight. He never let go if he could help it.
That was weeks ago -- three by now, give or take. Three weeks and the bliss of not dancing around suspicions or purposefully sidestepping signs was like a weight had been lifted from both your shoulders. Three weeks of staying in and coffees out and walking through the park after dark and in the rain because that was how privacy could be next to guaranteed. Three weeks, but no date.
“What’ve we been doing?” you’d asked when he’d made the observation over curry takeaway.
“Hanging out.” He shrugged. “Y’know? We haven’t--” sighing, shoulders slumping, he said, “I haven’t taken you anywhere, or….”
So, a date. A real date -- a first, devoid of the jitters and uncertainties that came with meeting someone new, but full of different ones. A date set with the intent of being a real date, not like anything else you’d do.
Just Harry. Just your friend, just your buddy, just someone who was no longer just anyone anymore. Harry, but your fingers shook and nearly spilled the contents of your purse when he rapped on your door.
“Coming!” you called, voice strained. Two twists of your lock later and your door was open. “Hey,” you said. Those off-white loafers he’d more than worn in, grey trousers, the cap stuffed over his hair, and the scooped neck of his tank top underneath his long wool coat assured you that you’d made the right choice with your outfit. His onceover of you was almost imperceptible -- another habit he’d sworn to you he was sure you’d noticed more than once despite himself, and one he’d thought secured him in your mind.
“Ready?” he asked and you nodded, stepping out and pulling the door closed behind you.
“Where--?”
Could you ask that? As friends you’d have badgered him, but as friends he’d have told you beforehand instead of omitting the plan.
He grinned, key fob in hand. “Thought we’d go somewhere we both like….”
“Which is?”
His eyes slid to you and his cheek dimpled deeper. “Maybe go listen to some music.”
***
The record shop was an institution. For all intents and purposes, it was a hole in the wall -- decades of cigarette smoke permeated the walls by at least three inches, and the thick floorboards were warped and creaked with even the slightest step. What the aisles lacked in width they made up for in height, with row after row of albums loaded onto shelving units that nearly touched the fluorescent lights in the ceiling. Some were wrapped in cellophane, but most were opened with handwritten pricemarks affixed to the front of them, colors distorted and worn from fingers and care throughout the years.
“This isn’t ‘hanging out’?” you asked quietly, scanning the shelves as you moved along them slowly.
“No,” came his answer from several steps behind you. “It’s something we like doing together.”
“Friends look at records,” you said. “Can you hand me that one?” you asked, pointing at a shelf that was just out of reach.
“Hmm?” Harry looked up from the back of a sleeve he was examining. “Oh, sure.”
“Thanks.” You took it from him and flipped it over. “Do you have this one?”
“I do,” he said. “It’s nice.”
“Why haven’t I ever heard you play it?”
Harry shrugged and you huffed. “You have everything, don’t you?” you said, putting it back. He smirked, but otherwise didn’t react, and you bit your lip, deflating, and averted your eyes. When he’d parked the car out front, you had felt a certain level of ease with the familiarity. Now, though, you felt like… Jesus, you hated admitting it because it made you sound needy, but you felt like you had to vye for his attention. You were his date, but music was his wife, his children, his wife’s children from her first marriage, and more wrapped up into one. At least before, you would sometimes catch each other’s eye in a way that felt forbidden or you’d trade stories and ideas -- anything to have an excuse to talk or get close.
You’d never had this problem as friends.
Your shoes thudded along the floor as you walked through the narrow aisles, the rounding corners and twisting through crates that were stacked one on top of the other -- rescued vinyls, CDs, 8-tracks, and cassette tapes that would’ve met some other end if they hadn’t been sheltered here. It was like stepping through the wardrobe into a musical Narnia where time was lost and you could move seamlessly across it -- decade to decade, month to month, day to day. Twisting your purse so it was behind you and out of your way, you started thumbing through albums, stopping suddenly and pulling one out when it caught your eye.
“What’ve y’got there?”
You jumped, throat closing, and nearly dropped the album on your foot. “Oh my God, Harry!” you whispered. He grinned widely, obnoxiously and obviously pleased he’d startled you, and if it wouldn’t break, you’d hit him with the record. “You absolute--”
“Dunno how you didn’t hear me,” he said. “Floors are--” He leaned back and forth, the squeaking almost musical.
“Stop that,” you said, turning away from him. You were reading the back when he slipped his hand around your waist, palm splayed over your hip.
“What’s that?” he repeated his previous question close to your ear. Wordlessly, you flipped it around and he hummed. “That’s a good one. Don’t have that, actually.”
“No?”
He shook his head and the ends of his hair brushed your ear. Your pulse quickened. Having him this close and letting him so casually step into your bubble of personal space and linger was still so new and unfamiliar. Even now, questions about whether it meant anything cropped up, tickling your brain -- surely this had to be an accident, not anything intentional. Surely he had to not even realize what he was doing. Surely none of this could mean anything.
Surely.
“D’you think you’re gonna get it?”
You inhaled quickly and cleared your throat, slipping it back onto the shelf. “I-- don’t know.” Your mouth was dry and you coughed delicately, but when you made to spin to slip by him, he got his hand on your other hip and held you in place.
“Where’re you going?”
Straightening up, something pulled behind your navel. Electric -- the word made you roll your eyes, but it was the only one you could describe the intensity of the charge you felt. Almost nose to nose, you could see every detail on his face. You’d seen them countless times before without a thought, but they were somehow more now. Every crease of his eyelids, every slight variation in the shade of his eyes, the patches of his facial hair that were thicker and darker than others, the freckle on his lip and the other on his chin and the way his throat bobbed, and--
“Just looking,” you whispered.
“Yeah?” Harry asked. “M’lookin’, too.”
The bell above the door clanged at the front of the shop. It was muted, distant, and voices were muffled. Next to no one ever came back here -- that’s why he liked this place. It was so deep, no one would ever find him. He could duck in, disappear, find a gem or three, and quietly leave without anyone being the wiser.
It was Narnia. Safe, surrounded by mentors of times gone by, with no one to interrupt.
Maybe?”
Already? You’d only just gotten there, and you thought maybe for all his talk of a date, he’d….
Harry tilted his head, green eyes unblinking and imploring you to understand something. His cheeks were pink and he opened his mouth before closing it quickly with a mumble of, “M’mean… we don’t have to-- if you’re not, then I don’t….”
Oh.
Oh.
“Sure,” you gasped. “Yeah.”
You’d no sooner gotten the words out than he’d unwound your hand from around his necklace to hold it in his and pull you with him back from Narnia to the front of the shop and into the real world.
***
The car ride was hell. Whatever tension had settled and relaxed on the way over had grown tenfold on the way back. You were pretty sure he broke at least three rules on the way that included saying, “No one ever comes down this road, anyway,” under his breath and flooring the gas in a way that had you gripping the door and seriously debating your answer when he asked if you were ok. But the click of his turn signal before he rolled into his driveway was like a ticking time bomb.
You were home. Your friend who was a bit more than friendly had invited you home with the clear and unmistakeable intention to have sex.
With him.
That was a little more different.
Harry turned the car off and twin pops of seatbelts unfastening followed in quick succession. Abandoning chivalry, he left you to your door in favor of racing to his front one to open it up and usher you both inside out of the light drizzle that’d started halfway there.
You were walking into his house to have sex with him.
It was warm and cozy inside. Decorated in all its eccentric ways, his home felt like it was still getting used to having him home more often. Your shoes scuffed and squeaked the hardwood and his loafers padded with purpose as he went around flicking lights on to brighten the rooms. His cap was gone, having carelessly tossed it somewhere on his way in, and he was shaking his coat off when you fumbled with your bag before dropping it on the sofa and kicking off your shoes.
Ready.
Set….
“I’m--”
Gonna go upstairs.
The rest of it, though, was lost when Harry spun you by the waist and you only just caught sight of his curls — disheveled from the hat he’d stuffed them under — before he reeled you in with a smashing kiss. Unrestrained, unrelenting, and unforgiving, he was off, and it was all you could do to cling to his shoulders for dear life as he backed you up in the practiced way someone who lived there and knew every quirk and oddity of his own house might. He was free to touch, and you were, too, and you did. You touched his back, his shoulders, his chest, his stomach, the zipper on his trousers, and his thighs with greedy hands that were learning as fast as they could. As in the shop, again he pulled away and grabbed your hand to lead you up the steps, and your knees quaked so badly you nearly fell down more than once on the way up.
You felt naughty. The same frantic energy of two teenagers trying to beat the clock after school before Mum came home to make dinner pricked you, and judging by the permanent smile pulling his mouth and carving smile lines deeper, he felt it, too. Hurry up, quick, before anyone caught on that you were going to have sex with your friend Harry.
“Everyone probably thinks we’ve already--”
His barking laugh cut you off -- a little wheezy, but it was deep from his belly, and infectious -- and you followed him, giggling, into his bedroom.
It smelled like him. It was the whiff you got when you hugged him, or, more recently, kissed him, but even more, and it was so concentrated it made you woozy. The bed was made, if haphazardly -- like he’d decided on it while getting dressed because he thought he should, but he hadn’t wanted to spend the time on doing it right -- and clothes were visible through half-open drawers and draped onto the stuffed armchair in the corner of his room.
“Did you clean?” you teased. He exhaled sharply and shook his head, but his mouth quirked at the corners and his cheeks were pink. Biting your lip, you squeezed his hand and he stepped closer.
“Is this ok?” he asked. Nodding, you tilted your head up slightly to meet his mouth. Less hurried and violent than the one downstairs, this kiss reached deep, stirring up nerves and butterflies. Each time he broke it, you chased him for more, and he smiled into it, pressing his warm hand on your cheek. “Gonna take your clothes off now,” he mumbled between several smacking kisses.
“Ok….”
Your clothes and his were gradually removed -- button by button, snap after snap, and zippers, too, slowly and with careful intent despite the rush you were both in. Discovering him and having him discover you was nothing short of exhilarating. Harry drew his hand over your bare shoulder with almost curious possessiveness before ducking down and sponging kisses up and down it that had your eyes fluttering shut and your head rolling back. He groaned in the back of his throat and his teeth scraped your skin when he bit you gently, pulling a gasp from you and you yourself back to consciousness.
Dazed and lips parted with each gulping breath, you stared at him. His hair was dark and twisted, pulled this way and that by your hands and his, and his chest rose and fell rapidly, the same crosses you’d tugged earlier glinting in the streaks of soft grey light peeking through his curtains. Even the most faded ink on his torso and arms seemed to pop bright and black on his skin, and without thinking, you pressed your palms to it, absorbing the warmth as you skated over him before doing as he had and leaning in to press a kiss to his shoulder.
How many times had you suppressed thoughts of kissing his skin? How many times more had you indulged in them feeling guilty and unsure, because he was your friend and things weren’t like that for either of you? How many times had you wondered when you’d get to do this since things had shifted? You kissed and pulled at the skin along his shoulders, chest, and arms, relishing his stuttered breaths, and you only paused when, glancing up, you caught the look on his face. With hooded eyes and a parted, bright red mouth, he looked like a man -- not a man who was your friend, but a man you wanted to rip into and who you wanted to rip into you. A man who could, and was perfectly capable of it, and who would without even having to be asked if you only said yes, please. It was feral, it was instinctual, and you clapped your hand behind his neck before smashing your mouth to his with a desperate whimper.
Harry turned you smoothly onto his bed and you squeaked when your back hit the mattress with a bounce and he went with you. You were covered by him from head to toe, and you ran your foot up his calf, hooking it around the back of his knee. “Ha--” muffled against his mouth, he groaned immediately.
“I know,” he said. “I know, I know….”
One bra strap and then the other snapped when he slipped them down your arms, but the sting barely made an impression when he let out a slow, hot breath against your chest and peppered kisses over the tops of your breast. Nose pressed to your skin, he took a deep breath, and the anxiety that had wound itself into tight little balls in you of unchecked energy gradually loosened and dissolved. He was nervous -- not enough to inhibit him, but enough to roll off him and onto you. You almost laughed. You’d been so focused on your own perspective, you’d lost sight of the fact that this was different for him, too.
His best friend was in his bed, nearly naked, and he was about to have sex with them.
“Is this ok?” you whispered over his head. Harry stopped and looked up at you.
“Is…?” He grinned, laughing, and shook his head. “Yeah,” he said. “It’s great.”
Simple and silly, that one word sent you soaring. Great -- you were great. This was great. Pushing his chest, you sat up when he rolled off you as you wordlessly reached behind to unhook your bra. You didn’t miss the way his eyes dropped automatically when you shimmied it down your arms, and you smirked in a way you hoped was half as coy as you’d tried to make it.
“Go,” you murmured, pushing his chest again.
“Ah,” Harry said, doing as you asked and falling back onto his elbows. “They like to be in charge, then?”
Heat crept up through you when you straddled his thighs. “Sometimes.” You slipped your fingers into the waistband of his boxers, noticing very briefly how soft his skin was against your knuckles before you pulled the elastic firmly. Harry lifted his hips so you could get them down, and just as his had, your eyes dropped despite yourself. Mostly hard, he rested against the crease of his thigh. Any number of adjectives ran through your head, and you only realized you were still looking, lost in thought, when you caught the cocky twist of his mouth.
“Go on, then,” he said quietly. Snorting, you rolled your eyes and fell forward, chest-to-chest with him, and he drew you up into a kiss. Smashed together, you stayed just like that, hands stroking, dipping, and exploring bare skin. You shivered when he slipped his hand into your underwear to knead your ass, and your wriggling made him grunt in a tortured way. “Condom’s in the drawer,” he mumbled. “Gonna… have to… wait… wait here.”
Harry gently eased you away by the waist before rolling across his bed and stood to open his bedside table. You dropped your head onto his pillow and watched him with a small smile. “Were you planning this?”
He tore a condom off the strip. “No. I mean….” Harry shrugged. “Had hope that… maybe eventually… y’know…” he said sheepishly. He looked at you as if gauging your reaction. “Is that…?”
Your smile widened and you held your arm out, inviting him back, and he let out a deep breath, taking it.
“Know how t’keep me on my toes,” he mumbled.
“Good,” you said just before kissing him, arm tight around his neck. He inhaled deeply and sheets rustled as you rolled in them, turning him onto his back and sending you with him. With your weight settled on top of him, you lay there comfortably, languidly kissing through soft, breathless moans. He, for his part, seemed content to let his hands wander the sides of your breasts, your back, your hips, over your ass, the crease along your thighs, and finally….
You stilled with a gasp when he slid the pads of his fingers over you -- up and down, up and down -- before he carefully parted you with just the tips. Gulping, you broke from his mouth and rested your forehead on his shoulder with a rattling breath, gripping his bicep and shifting to bring one of your knees up. Harry grunted and adjusted himself beneath you before pressing a kiss to your ear and sliding his fingers deeper. He curled them and your mouth fell open. Beneath you, he chuckled, but didn’t say a word as he pumped them in and out of you, each wet, slick stroke somehow louder than the last. God, could he hear that? Of course he could.
“Come on,” he whispered, gradually slowing his fingers. He pulled them out and drew them up your skin, leaving a sticky trail behind. “Come….” The wrapper crinkled when you tore into it, and he pinched the top while you smoothed the condom down to his base. Hands braced on his chest, you held your breath as you settled over him.
“Breathe,” he warned, jaw tight and eyes flickering between your face and where you were above him. “Breathe, yeah? Just--”
“I’m ok,” you assured him, drawing his head between your legs, sliding it until you found your entrance. “I’m….” You trailed off into a sigh when you opened around his head, and, swallowing hard, you eased down, down, down onto him until you were nearly seated on his thighs. “Oh my God,” you moaned under your breath.
“Breathe,” Harry said again. Eyes closed, you did as he said, taking slow, deep breaths in and out. He was… this was a stretch. Not painfully so, but one regardless. You pulsed, grimacing immediately, before rocking on top of him. There -- that wasn’t so bad. Not at all, even, that was good. Hands still on his chest, you braced yourself and pushed back and forth, slowly at first and then with more certainty. Beneath you, Harry grunted and clapped his hands over your hips as if caught off guard. “Shit,” he breathed.
Eyes stamped shut, he tilted his head back, drilling it into his pillow, and you marveled at the long column of his neck. You watched his throat bob several times and you followed the path up to his sharp jawline, his tight mouth, to where his nose was flaring harshly. He laughed breathlessly and opened his eyes, but there was an unfocused gleam to them. “Y-y’killin’... killin’ me,” he stuttered. “You….”
He trailed off when you hooked your fingertips into his chains again and tugged. His chin doubled when he lifted his head and when he locked eyes with you, you grinned impishly before easing down onto him. Clapping a firm hold on your ass, he brought you down hard and you groaned abruptly. That was deep -- that was in your belly -- and your face screwed up when he did it again and again, thrusting his hips sharply against yours.
“Oh my-- Harry-- fuck!”
The bands of his rings, warm from his body heat, pinched your skin when he tightened his hold. He practically shook beneath you with the effort he was using, every breath labored, but suddenly, he stopped. Before you could so much as whisper, the world spun around you and you were on your back, empty.
“Shit!” Harry spluttered, pushing his fingers through his now damp hair. It fell right back in front of his forehead and you let out a wheezy stream of giggles. “That-- that was not supposed to be that….”
You laughed louder and he kissed your jaw, grinning against it while kneading one of your breasts, thumb rolling back and forth over your nipple. Eyes closing, you sighed breathily when he ducked down and sucked with a low, reverent groan and incomprehensible mumbles. When he stretched out above you again to push in, you wrapped both your arms around his back as yours arched with a quiet moan.
“God, this feels good,” you said, candid and unprompted, sinking into the feeling as he sank into you.
“Feels amazing,” he said. “Feels so fucking….” Grunting, he shuddered and dropped nearly all his weight on top of you. “Bring your legs up,” he said. “Bring your legs--” You complied, locking your ankles just above his ass, thighs spread wide. “Good, good girl.”
“You like to… to be the boss?” you teased, echoing his earlier jab.
He thrust sharply, punching a shout from you.
“Yes.”
Again and again he drove into you, and it was all you could do to grab onto him. He’d been holding back! He’d been holding way back! You hiccuped a breath and pressed your mouth to his shoulder, face twisted as you grappled his back with shaking fingers. This was good sex -- this was the type of sex that elevated you and made your toes shake and curl while you gasped for breath. The type of sex where you were going and going until you lost your breath right on the edge and you had to pause and feel the tickles of an orgasm slip away because it was that or pass out cold. This was sex you kissed and bit your way through and would leave you sore from your scalp down through the balls of your feet. It was roll over, lift like this, deeper, there? There sex. This sex was….
You weren’t sure at first because it felt fast, but it was confirmed with the first contraction deep in your abdomen. “Oh my God,” you moaned in disbelief. One of your hands slipped against his back and he hissed, faltering for just a moment as you uttered a pitchy, “Sorry… sorry!” while finding your hold both in his firm upper back and the softer muscle close to his hips.
“Close?” he ground out, voice muffled, and you nodded against his shoulder, turning your face into his sweaty neck. The smell of cologne and sweat was strong, almost dizzyingly so, and each new contraction brought on by his pelvis grinding against yours made it worse.
Swallowing, mouth dry, you whispered, “I’m think I’m gonna cum,” in an almost confessional tone. “I think--”
“Ok!” he said under his breath. “Ok-- oh, shit….” He moaned, a long, loud, drawn out sound and his hips faltered. ‘Wait! Wait, fuck!” Breathless and keening he thrust roughly, like he was trying to beat a clock only he could hear, breathing raggedly under your ear. Panting, you locked your arms and legs around him. You’d never been particularly loud -- years of necessity had built a habit -- but you could hear yourself now, calling out things that didn’t even make sense, writhing underneath him like you were out of your mind. It was almost pornographic, and you almost laughed, but it got caught in your throat when your cunt pulsed and your whole body tightened.
“Oh, Harry, oh, God!”
Harry smashed a stubbly kiss to the corner of your mouth, and his chin hit yours so hard it hurt. Your eye watered, whether from pain or the intensity of him still grinding, but seconds later through sputtered pleases and increasingly frantic thrust, he groaned so deeply you felt it in you. You went entirely still as he trembled, cock throbbing, and in the next minute he’d collapsed full weight on top of you. You sucked soft, wheezy breaths in as best you could, but your lungs were crushed in your chest with the pressure he was putting on them. Just as you were about to ask him to… maybe… please, Harry… move… he pushed up and off you to the side just enough to relieve you.
“Shit!” he rasped, face planted against your shoulder. “Shit.”
Yeah. Shit. Did you say it out loud? You couldn’t tell -- you couldn’t tell much of anything anymore. Everything was somehow pleasantly hot and numb at the same time, and you were thirsty. Your head was ringing, too, and you couldn’t remember the last time sex had left you this finished. Totally and thoroughly finished.
You’d done it. You’d had sex with him, with intent, and it was incredible.
Harry slipped his hand around your bicep and squeezed, pressing kisses to your skin in silence. Your lips quirked, but any quip was half-formed, and each one died on your tongue. Gradually, your breathing settled and the roaring silence did, too. Outside, the clouds had passed, and raindrops clinging to the window panes were slowly drying up in the sun that’d deemed it safe enough to peek again. It was still early -- after the nerves, the jitters, the trip to the shop, dancing around each other, and flooring it back to his place, and the sex, there was still most of a day ahead of you.
With a final squeeze, Harry kissed the top of your breast before rolling away, bed creaking beneath him. Shaking his head, he stood, and picked his trousers off the floor before patting them down and taking out his phone.
“S’get summat t’eat,” he mumbled, voice thick, as he passed it over to you. “Lemme buy.” He gestured to himself vaguely. “Gonna go… and maybe pick up that record you didn’t know I had.”
He stumbled, waving you off when you giggled. Just the same as before -- lunch in the afternoon with albums spinning until you couldn’t stand to get up to change them again -- but with a few crucial differences that made it so much better.

Cuddles with Kie
REQUESTED ON WATTPAD
Y/N POV
Kie and I had been best friends for years. We were inseparable and did any and everything together. We spent every waking moment together and even when we were sleeping or couldn't be together physically we were on facetime. Most of our sleepovers consisted of us sneaking out late into the night to find random bugs or animals to put on my sleeping brother. Everyone knew about us and never dared to mess with either of us knowing a hell would be raised.
But all of that completely stopped about a year ago when Kie decided to go to dinner at the Cameron's house. Since that night I haven't seen her other than school where I barely even get a glance. Ya, I still had my brother, JJ, and Pope but all I wanted was my best friend back. She knew me and understood me more than anyone ever would. We went from hand holding, forehead kisses, and random outbursts of laughter at the worst time possible to barely even talking. The last time I talked to her was three months ago when she and I were paired together for a science project. Even then she refused to come to my house or even allow me into hers. We were limited to the classroom or the Library. It was almost like she was completely embarrassed to be seen with me because of my social status, which I don't get because for as long as I could remember Kie never gave a flying fucking about the Kook and Pogue bullshit.
But here I find myself sitting on my bed looking at the wall of pictures that hold memories of Kie and my father who I haven't seen in almost five months. Before he left he told me he would have to go away for a while so what happened next was a complete blindside.
"Hey Y/N we need to talk," John B comes into my room with a look on his face I couldn't read. I just nodded my head allowing him to continue.
"Um.. so I really don't know how to say this, but dad is being listed as a missing person officially and is most likely being presumed dead," John B says quietly while finally letting a few tears fall. At this moment the whole world stopped. Everything in the room was completely frozen, I could barely breathe and my sight was now blurred due to tears threatening to fall. I was completely in my own world that I didn't even see John B rushing over to me and pulling me into his arms. But the second I felt him I completely broke down. I found myself crying into his arms still not able to read. It took John B a few seconds to realize what was happening but the second he did he pulled himself away from me and just started telling me to breathe.
"Y/N you need to breathe," John B said while I attempted to follow his instructions of breathing in and out. At this point I see JJ and Pope rushing into my room and getting to my level.
"Y/N PLEASE BREATHE," JJ says yelling, allowing himself to go into pull blow panic mode. I see Pope quickly rush out of the room and back just as fast with a glass of water he shoved into my face demanding I drink some.
I tried to take a sip but the second I tried to swallow I choked and completely spit it out and coughing which then made it even harder to try and breathe.
"I need you to breathe," John B said while crying even harder. "Please," he added quietly.
I did my best to calm down and once I was somewhat calmer I took a drink of water allowing the cool liquid to calm my burning throat. I was still crying and completely frozen but now I was finally able to breathe.
"I need Kie," I said quietly. Which made JJ frown. Ever since Kie completely abandoned us JJ has done his best to fill her shoes. He knew he wasn't her and he tried to remind himself that but it was hard seeing Y/N ache for the girl who completely left them high and dry.
"Ill try and give her a call," Pope said while walking away quietly. I just laid down in my bed with John B joining me and pulling me into his arms. He was all I had left and I refused to let him disappear to so I just held onto him tightly.
"She's on her way," Pope came back into the room a few minutes later. Which made John B nod hid head and JJ let out a quiet scoff. Kie leaving the group the way she did hurt all of them not just Y/N.
A few minutes pass before I hear a light knock on the back door. She wasn't even comfortable coming in anymore. She was a stranger in the house she used to spend most nights.
KIE'S POV
When I got the call I instantly left Sarah's house ignoring all of her shady comments and her telling me that if I go over there I was never welcome back. I sent her a quick glare and a middle finger and ran my way out of Figure Eight and into the cut. When I got to Y/N house I didn't know if I should just walk in like normal or knock. I decided on knocking not knowing how everyone would react if I just barged my way into the house after a year.
"Well, well, well, look who we have here," JJ said to me with clear venom in his voice. I knew my actions were hurting Y/N but I never fully realized how much it truly affected everyone else.
"Hi stranger," I try to crack a joke giving them a smile.
"Kie, what the fuck happened this past year," John B asked while walking down the hall from Y/N room.
"Im sorry, I lost who I was for a minute," I tell them while looking down at my feet clearly guilty of my actions.
"Ya you lost who you were and completely broke the only person who mattered in your life, the only person who truly understood you, and last but not least the only person who loved you for YOU," John be said to me clearly getting angrier and angrier.
"Im sorry okay, how much can I tell you that Im so fucking sorry. If i could go back and do it again I would have left that stupid dinner and came right back over, I don't even know why I stayed or why I kept going back," I told them truthfully.
"Well you could have at least told her what happened," JJ said.
"I wanted to, but Sarah is a bitch, she is controlling, and to be completely honest I was scared of her. I was scared that if I left her she would hurt Y/N," I tell them while finally looking them in the eyes. John B had tears running down his face, JJ's eyes were bloodshot clearly from crying, and Pope was hard to read like normal.
What happened next surprised me. John B pulled me into a hug and gave me a quick kiss on the forehead.
"Go get your girl," John B said while pulling me away and pushing me towards the direction of Y/N. I had no idea what to expect when I walked in or how she was going to react but the second I opened her door and I saw her face light up I knew I had fucked up.
Y/N POV
The moment I heard my door open up and saw Kie I couldn't help but light up. I had been waiting for this moment for so long. She instantly came over to me and pulling me onto her chest. It felt like she hadnt even left.
"Im so fucking sorry, Im sorry for everything, for leaving, for ignoring you, for leaving you to question yourself, and for you dad," Kie told me quickly. Kie was never one to apologize so for her to instantly apologize and mean it meant everything to me. I just held her tighter in fear she might disappear again.
"I missed you," Is all I could choke out. Kie kissed my forehead and intertwined our fingers and holding me tighter.
"Im never leaving your side again," Kie tells me matter a factly.
"Promise?" I asked her. She let go of my hand and stuck out her pinky.
"Promise." She says while grabbing my pinky into hers and kissing her thumb while I do the same and then we touch thumbs. It was how we always pinky promised to each other.
She grabbed my hand again and we just sat in silence for a minute.
"You smell like the rich," I tell her which makes her bust out laughing with me following behind her.
"And you smell like..." she starts to say before bending down and smelling my hair before continuing , "strawberry shampoo and salt water," she finishes with a smile making me smile.
"But for real tomorrow we are taking you outside to touch some dirt," I tell her while laughing.
"How was the Kook life?" I ask her genuinely wanting to know what it was like even if it was from the eyes of someone else.
"Honestly boring, they are too concerned with their imagine that they forget to have fun and let loose a little," she tells me.
"sounds like a bunch of people with sticks up their ass," I saw while laughing to myself a little.
"Oh definitely!" Kie confirms. I could my tears and panic attack catching up with me making my eyes droop a little. Kie noticed I was getting sleeping which just made her pull me into her tighter and bring the blanket over our bodies making sure that the cold weather doesn't catch up to us.
"Ill be here in the morning, get some sleep babe," she tells me while looking down at me and kissing my nose. With that I got myself comfortable and allowed the sleep to over take me.

World's Best Hacker
"Quick, quick, we should not let them hack into our system!" My so-called boss shouted. "Oh, shut up!" I shouted back.
I tapped the keys on the computer. Hello, I am the 'world's best hacker', that's what they are all saying and I am working for the government.
"Quick MC!" He shouted again. I stopped tapping on the keys. "What are you doing?! Do something, they can't hack our systems!" He shouted nervously as I crossed my arms against my chest.
"I can't concentrate on my work if you are shouting like this," I said. System alert the computer started to say with danger sound and countdown.
"Alright, alright, I won't say anything. Make it fast, there are only 42 seconds," he pleaded. I turned to the computer and tapped on the keys again and worked on it.
I finally defended the hack.  My So-called boss sighed "you scared me," he said. I rolled my eyes "My work time over, I am leaving," I said as I took a look at my watch only to see 5:32 p.m.
What you saw now is not real me. I went to my apartment only to change my clothes. I wore simple shorts with a white shirt tucked inside the shorts.
I went to an Ice cream shop carelessly playing on the road. I opened the door only to hear a chime on top of the door.
I made my way to the Ice cream, I searched for my favorite Icecream. I saw only one in that flavor, I smiled at the Icecream as I took that.
"Can you give that to me?" I heard a voice. I turned to look at the person, he had brown hair, a white shirt, and jean. I frowned "No," I said.
"You can get another," he said. "No, It is mine," I said as I pulled the Icecream close to me.
He looked at me weirdly. Anyways, I don't care. I went past him and paid the bill.
So, hello. I am MC, this is real me. A simple and Careless girl? I walked on the road as I licked my Icecream.
I looked at the sky. The sun is gonna hide and the moon is gonna shine.  I smiled and walked again.
Someone pulled me by my arm, I gripped the Ice Cream, since it is important.
I was pinned to a wall. before I could shout, a strong smell hit my nose. Everything went black.
______________________
I opened my eyes to see myself on a sofa. I sat on the sofa. Where is this place? I looked around only to see more computers and hacking stuff.
A man with a hoodie shirt entered, he had jet black messy hair with blue eyes. Suddenly I remembered something, "Hey! Where is my Ice Cream?!" I shouted at him.
"If you want to kidnap me, why don't you do after I finished my Ice Cream?!" I shouted continuously. "What the-" he muttered.
"Do you know how much I like Ice Cream? How can you-" he cut off me by pressing his hand on my mouth.
"Oh my god, can you please close your mouth?" He asked. I tried to talk, but only muffled sound came.
I licked his palm, he took his hand back suddenly. "Eew," he said as he wiped his palm on his pant. I giggled at his reaction.
"Who are you?" I asked him. "Shouldn't that be your first question?" He questioned. I rolled my eyes "Don't answer a question with another question," I said.
"I am a Hacker," he said. "Oh, what a coincidence, me too Mr. Kidnapper," I said as I held out my hand.
He starred at me like I am not talking with him. I sighed and took my hand back.
"Alright, tell me why you kidnapped me," I said. "I want your help," he replied.
"What? Mr. Kidnapper want my help?" I asked dramatically. "Stop calling me like that," he said annoyed.
"What made you think that I will obey you?" I asked. He sighed "look, it is important. I want your help to hack into this system," he said seriously.
"Which system?" I questioned. "We are going to hack the highly protected system," he said. "But why did you chose me to help you?" I questioned him again.
"Because.....," He trailed. "Hmm?" I waited for an answer. "Because you defended my attack one hour ago, this evening," he said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
"So you are the one who tried to hack into our system?" I asked with a Chuckle. "Alright, why do you need my help, Mr. Kidnapper?" I asked.
"Look, They are doing the wrong thing," he started to explain why he wants to hack into their system.
____________________
He explained everything and showed me some proof that they are doing the wrong business. He is really saying the truth.
So, I decided to help him. And this project will take nearly five to six days since it takes time to hack and download their data.
"So, will you help me?" He asked me. "What will I get if I helped you?" I asked as I crossed my arms against my chest. "What do you want?" He asked back.
"Icecream," I said casually. He frowned "Ice cream?" He repeated. "Yes, I am gonna stay here with you until we finish our work right?"I asked. He nodded.
"So, per hour an Ice cream. We can count the hours, when we finish our work let's check the time and calculate the hours I stayed with you," I said.
He starred at me without saying anything. "Deal?" I questioned as I held my hand out. He thought for some seconds "Alright, deal," he said as he shook my hand with his.
I looked at my wristwatch "now the time is 7:00 p.m," I said. "Alright let's start our work," he said as he gave me a chair to sit.
I sat on the chair, he sat beside me on another chair. We started to work on the project.
It's been 5 mins, I took a glance at Mr. Kidnapper who is beside me working seriously.
I looked at his side face, he had a perfect Jawline. I slowly moved my eyes to his blue eyes which were now looking straight at me!
Crap. "What are you looking at?" He questioned. "N-nothing," I shuttered as I turned back to my computer.
I felt his eyes burning on me, I gulped. My phone started to ring, I took that as I am about to attend Mr. Kidnapper snatched my phone from my hand.
"Hey!" I said. He switched off my mobile, "what are you doing, Mr. Kidnapper?" I asked. "They will easily track your phone," he replied.
I didn't speak anything since it is true. Aish. I sighed. We continued our work.
________________
We cracked the first wall. It is 11 at night, I am so sleepy. If it went like this, I am sure I will get panda eyes the next day.
"I am sleepy," I said with my sleepy voice. "Oh, alright. Go and sleep on the sofa, let's continue tomorrow," he said as he pointed to the sofa.
I stood and went to the sofa with my half eyes open. I plopped on the sofa and drifted to sleep.
________________________
I sat on the sofa and rubbed my Sleepy eyes with the back of my hand. After I awake fully, I stood and stretched.
I then looked at the person who is on the chair. I went near Mr. Kidnapper who kept his arms on the table near the computer as fell asleep on his arms.
I took a good look at his face, he had perfect-sized eyelashes. His pink-colored lips. I smiled "Have a good sleep, Mr. Hacker," I said as I stroke his hair which is on his eyes.
I sat near him as I started to work.
After an hour he woke up and was startled to see me. I smiled "Good morning, Mr. Hacker," I said. "When did I change from Mr. Kidnapper to Mr. Hacker?" He asked with his morning voice.
I chuckled. He stood and went somewhere and came back after 5 mins with coffee in his hands. "Here," he said as he passed me one.
I sniffed it, "ha~ it smells so good," I said. He smiled.

It's been 3 days, I went to my house yesterday to take some of my clothes and inform my so-called boss that I am out of the city.
Now I and Mr. Hacker sitting simply since the data download process is taking more time.
"Hey Mr. Hacker, it is boring," I whined. He looked at me "what should I do?" He asked me.
I sat on the chair briskly now, "Tell me something about you," I asked. "No," he said whilst looking at the computer.
"Tch...," I said.
____________________
It is now the 6th day. We hacked into their highly protected system and collecting the data's. I asked more about Mr. Hacker in these days, but he didn't tell me. I don't even know his name.
The screen shows 95%, we started counting "96.....97....98....99...100!!" We shouted as he lifted me by my waist and spun me.
"We made it," we said in unison as we looked into each other's eyes. Then he realised that he is carrying me. He slowly lifted me down.
He cleared his throat "Thanks for your help," he said. "Alright, so when you gonna buy me Ice Cream?" I reminded him.
"Let's calculate," I said as I looked at my watch. "Our deal started at 7 p.m and It is the 6th day I am staying here and the time now is 5:21, so...5+24+24+24+24+24+17 equal to.....142!!" I shouted happily.
"Are you gonna eat this much Ice Cream now?" He asked me as he turned to his computer. "That's why I planned to stay with you, hereafter. So that you can buy me whenever I want. So, can I stay with you?" I asked with a grin.
I know he is smiling now even I can't see his face. "Is that a yes?" I asked. He remained silent "I will take that as a yes," I said.

Read chapter twenty-seven
Title: You Need Me
Words: 5.9k
Summary: Third time’s the charm, right?
Warnings: Lost orgasm
ST Rambles: WOW! Not me posting a chapter a chapter after only two weeks. Nuts, really. As of now, this semester is much less of... it's just less fucking nonsense, if I am being honest. I am getting very excited about my future and where I will be this time next year. I have an interview on February 27th for a new-grad RN residency program. It's all just very strange and adult right now.
[MASTERLIST] || BANNER // @elmidol
However short it might be, you thought you would like to spend the rest of forever exactly like this.
The sun remained hidden, and the light of the moon had faded, leaving you shrouded in darkness and engulfed in the heat of Kylo Ren’s resting form. Not a limb had moved from what you could remember before dozing off last night, your legs kept woven with his, cheek melting into his solid chest, the broad hand between your shoulders less stark in its effort to keep you against him. Still, the world vaguely existing beyond the canopy around you, you remained tucked into him, unsure if you had ever felt this amount of peace before. One difference now, something you’d never had the chance to experience, was the faint tickle of deep, rhythmic breath coming from the sleeping warrior who caressed you.
Twelve. Twelve perfect, dazed breaths kissed your forehead and sent mild sparks dancing along your skin; they followed thoughts of absent nightmares, nightmares that always seemed to keep away when he was near. Looking at him, peering up to see the vulnerability in his slackened mouth and long, looming eyelashes framing the dying purple that lay beneath them, you could tell he had not slept this well since Starkiller. Maybe even before then. Quietly, you allowed yourself somewhat of a small victory at the thought.
You did not know what to do, not wanting to wake him, yet aware that you needed to get ready for your shift. The calendar-chip Karmen had given you had transferred its data into your watch, but your watch was rooms away – worlds away – resting on the refresher floor. The transport ship would be waiting at the front entrance at six, but that had to be at least an hour away if you were banking on the soft darkness surrounding you, not quite remembering what it felt like waking up to real sunlight.
So, ever so slightly, making every effort to silence your breath and shifting, you loosed from his hold and led his arm lightly back down to the bed, watching him for any sign of disturbance. Through the distance, you heard the early, soft ebbing of the sea, noting how it complemented the push of Kylo’s exhales. He did not seem to stir, not even a lapse in his breathing when you rolled onto your back and tugged the linens up to cover your chest, the cold of the room taking residence over the skin previously pressed to the hearth of his own.
Your Master. The Commander of the First Order. Kylo Ren. How strange it was to be here, to see up close every healed and healing scar, to witness the slight twitch in his brow, to study the handsome line of his nose and the various moles that flecked along his cheeks. This was the strongest, most feared and lethal man in the galaxy, and here you were fawning over the light spray of sparce freckles sprawled along his cheekbones. A privilege, you thought, to have the man who haunted nightmares keep your very own at bay.
Lips pressed together, eyes full of wonder, you let the very tips of your fingers trace the raven haze of hair that splayed beneath his dreaming face. And when the dark ends met his shoulder, you risked a featherlight touch over the hand you had earlier placed. An intricate, beautiful pattern of veins jutted out on its surface, his long fingers curled into a weak fist, your focus lingering along the scars cut into his knuckles. A life of scrapes and training and battle and bruises lived in his skin, the veins beneath treading paths along them, like a map, like a guidebook to each blight of hurt that ghosted their blue trails. You swallowed a giggle, wondering if you would pick a sixteen or a fourteen-gauge needle to start an IV on him.
Running your fourth finger along the prominent vein that fled gracefully along his entire arm, you kissed the inside of his wrist, watching his face and never wanting to disturb him, but needing to feel him. A slight upward twitch at the corner of his mouth made your heart jump, choking back a gasp when a curl of hair swept over his eyes. Another fascination, how full his lips were; you touched them, a sneaking whisper of your fingers, pulling down on the bottom one and leaning in closer and closer, warmth fogging your hand, your face, his features unmoving and mild.
The elegant brutality that now crowned his features – it was healing, its edges no longer raised and red, but flush with their binding. Two weeks ago his face had been unmarred, but the whole of you found this new normal breathtaking, heart-stopping. Beholding him now brought you back to that desperate moment, just before he’d carried you to bed, when you clung to him because you believed you’d never get another chance.
Palm flat to his chest, above his heart, following the lead of his lungs, you closed your eyes and rested your lips to the corner of his mouth, and said, quieter than the very thought of a whisper, “I never wanted to hurt you.” A ghosted kiss. “I never wanted to leave then, and…” The steady beat of his heart remained, the rush of your own silencing the tide of the waking bay. With his next breath, with an aching chest that held nothing of the pain it had previously, you breathed, “I never wanted to leave then, and I never want to leave again.”
Not a single tear, not even the suggestion of one, nothing but adamant truth tapping against the canopy’s silence. You needed him here, no longer caring if it stole the innocence and vulnerability of sleep’s caress.
“Kylo,” you whispered, kissing him with intent, coaxing him awake.
A deep, sharp inhale. You could not trap the smile that broke across your cheeks.
A nuzzle against his nose, curious fingers breeching that sea of obsidian tresses. “Kylo, wake up.”
He hummed, his lips finally leading into yours when he left his dream’s embrace. Like he had not wanted it moved, his hand reclaimed your back and pressed you against him, his other hiking your leg atop his own, the feel of his skin warming you to your very center. Nearly melded against him, his bare torso to yours, you felt him harden, felt the heat of his cock grow and thicken, become weighted as it filled and filled. You caught an unbidden gasp, leaning away from him long enough to see the mischief that danced in his eyes.
His arms coiled around you as he stretched, a cant of his hips to finish off the gesture. He was looking down at you, first at your face, then over your body, the skim of his eyes heavy when you could see their every tick. Kylo slid a rough hand up your leg, stopping just beneath the curve of your ass and anchoring himself to the scorching skin of your inner thigh. When he looked back to your eyes, searing amber swallowed by the shadows of the room, you smiled and ground yourself into his erection. Kylo growled in approval, your lips gracing his and feeling the depth of the vibration on his lips.
“You know,” he sighed, sleep heavy in his voice, “they should add assault and battery to your charges.” Those fingers around your thigh reached deeper.
“Hm, and why is that?”
“Because,” he nipped your bottom lip, “I didn’t consent to any of this.”
His crooning tone filtered into your veins, amusement blooming in your chest. “You were asleep. If anything, I was being considerate.”
“Considerate, mm?” Your fingers fisted at his nape, the hand at your back gliding up to do the same. “I guess I’ve been very considerate both times I’ve woken up before you, then.”
“Kylo Ren: considerate,” you chuffed a giggle, “I don’t know about that.”
“Really?” he rumbled, light yet venomous. Kylo tread parted lips along your jaw, your ear lobe slipping between them before he pulled you in and whispered with pride and claim, “Because that first morning, before I left you to sleep in my bed,” the hand around your thigh shifted upward, just grazing your slit, “I stared at the bruises I’d made the previous night, stared at how they’d grown and how they all belonged to me.”
The tip of his tongue slid along the shell of your ear, a pant parting your lips when his cock throbbed into your abdomen.
Kylo’s tone had lowered and thickened when he next spoke, “I thought about waking you up, then,” the tip of his finger pushed into the wetness that had gathered between your legs, a pleasured hum rolling out of him, “thought about fucking my hand while I watched you sleep, knowing my cum had dried onto your thighs overnight.”
Hot, masterful fingers parted your folds, your breath stuck in your throat as Kylo stared into you, watching you when his touch brushed lazily against your clit. His eyes narrowed in knowing pride when yours seemed to flutter, hiking your leg up further, trying to get another graze of his touch. An effort in vain. His hips canted again, slowly this time, stroking himself against the soft skin of your belly.
“I wanted to fuck you awake, really, wanted the first thing you were aware of to be me splitting you open, wanted to see your eyes lull and widen when you realized what was going on.” A second tease of those fingers, slick slipping past your entrance. “And I could have, you know,” he drawled, a third nudge over your stiffened bud, a tug at the nape of your neck.
He waited, observing you before you asked through shuddering breath, “What do I know?”
An upward slant to those plush lips, a tongue running along his teeth, a viper behind his eyes. “You know that I can have you whenever, however I want—” his fingers began a slow, circling pattern, passing over and over that sweet spot “—because you’re always ready for me, always wet.” His hand shifted so it was his thumb rolling over the buzzing nerves, and the tips of three bare, slickened fingers teased your core. “I’m right, aren’t I?”
You ground into him, begging for more of him, the length of his cock burning into you, slipping against your stomach as precum slicked his shaft. With as much nonchalance as you could muster, which was near zilch as you held back hums and winces with each pass of his thumb, you sighed, “Maybe, or perhaps you’re forgetting my life doesn’t revolve around you.”
“Maybe not right now,” he purred, pumping and circling his fingers, effectively inching you toward climax, “give it time. Give me time.”
“What are you talking about?” you panted, pushing your body into his hand, reaching the very brink of pleasure.
His hips canted, he grunted, and when you winced, seethed with pleasure, felt it tighten in your belly and quiver along your legs, Kylo stopped.
“No,” you whined, “no! That’s just cruel,” you pulled his face from your neck, “Kylo, what-,”
He said nothing, but there was something unreadable in his expression that stopped you from readying for battle. It appeared like something had just clicked for him, his eyes so distant he could have been in an entirely different galaxy for all you knew. Just as fast as he was gone, he returned with passive pomp settling a smirk into his face.
You studied him, confused and stunted, but if he wanted to return from wherever he’d gone, so would you. “Hey!” You punched his shoulder. “What the hell?”
“Well?”
“Well, what?”
He ground his teeth, sucking them before the most sardonic smile cast over his features. “You should get dressed,” he cooed your name, the sweet tone widening your eyes, feeling the challenge in it, “I would hate for you to be late to your second first day.” He hummed, laving his gaze over the sweat glittering along your heaving chest, tiding viciously with unsated breath. “We both know what happened the first time.”
With a raised brow, “I have two capable hands,” you countered, pushing away from him. “I don’t need you.”
Quicker than you could register, he had both your hands pinned beside your head, his broad, structured body pressing fully into you. “You do need me,” he breathed, nothing feral in his tone, but sure, not a shred of doubt when he said, “you need me, and for this to work-,”
“For what to work?”
He kept quiet for a moment, a decision weighing on him, focus flicking between your eyes and the light that teased beyond the windows, along the horizon. It appeared as if time would have permitted, if the sun had slept in a second longer, he would have answered you. You saw it in his eyes, when he peered down to you, his hair a shield from the rest of the world, you saw that whatever rested against his lips – it would have changed everything you knew. Everything you did not know.
But instead, with a swallow and a sigh, he simply said, “For this to work, you do need me.”
You tested a hand from under his, slipping it so your thumb smoothed along his flushed ear. Flitting your attention between his stark, serious eyes, feeling the panting of his parted lips, you knew you were right when you said, “We need each other.” Your other hand found its earlier home over his chest; staring at its placement, feeling every smooth, unrelenting beat of his heart, you declared, “for this to work, we need each other.”
Another quiet moment, and when you looked up, you found the very beginnings of dawn claiming the shadows that had earlier claimed his irises. Pushing his hair back, you could see that even though you were right – you did need each other – he didn’t want it to be true. Not that it seemed to anger him, but something remained hidden, kept quiet in his gaze, something taut and unyielding; something, it seemed, he did not want to admit – to you or himself.
He nodded. Not a word, not a breath. But more than you would have expected from him in the past.
Equal.
“You could have just let me finish and then been dramatic, you know?” you sighed, easing back from intensity when something of amusement softened his face.
“At least for today,” he purred your name, “your world will revolve around me.”
“And why is th-oh,” the Force nudged your bud, laved at it just as his tongue might.
He leaned down one last time, lips to your ear. “Because you’re not cumming until I let you, and you have a twelve-hour orientation shift to look forward to today.” An icy thrill swept your veins when he promised, “I intend to make each one of those hours memorable.”
“You won’t be anywhere near me.”
“As I’ve found recently,” his hand teased along your curves, the pad of his thumb ghosting the very tip of your nipple. When you shuddered, he hummed, “distance is no longer a barrier.”
Even through the haze of lust, there was no hiding the contempt in your voice when you barked, “And you figured that out how? Through training? While you’re still healing from not even two weeks ago?”
Kylo did not say anything, instead leaning back and letting you out from under him. He was still hard, but you had no time or want to care about that fact. Kylo watched as you stormed from the canopy and gathered your clothes from the refresher, nearly stomping. Through the gossamer fabric, you saw he was amused with you, and when you pulled on yesterday’s uniform to make the short distance to your room, he stood from the bed and sauntered toward you.
“Didn’t Belkar give you orders to not strain yourself for at least a month?” Your arms were crossed to your chest, your remaining belongings tucked beneath them. “You know, you aren’t invincible. You have to know that by now, right? Because I sure as hell do.” The image of his comatose form slithered in and out of memory. You shuddered. “Can’t you just do what’s good for yourself? This once?”
He took the step up from the bed’s level, the heightening sun glowing behind him, crowding the pale blue of the sky with every step that brought him closer. Lazily, like you weren’t lecturing him, he ran the flat of his fingers along his shaft, cocking his head when he stopped a pace away from you.
“Why would I listen to his orders?”
“Okay, then it’s my order,” you said, “because if you want to be stubborn, fine. But if I need you, then I need you at your best, not hurt and half-healed because your skull is too thick and your ego is too big to process that no matter if you are Kylo Ren, you are still human. And I am your care provider. And… I… say so.”
His lips twitched. “You say so?”
Although you barely believed the authority in your tone, you held steady, “Yes, Commander Ren, I say so.”
He’d never looked at you quite like he was now, something of stunned pride gleaming behind a much more fortified front of command. Closing the space between you, your back meeting the chilled black of the door, Kylo leaned down and studied your crossed arms. Knowing mischief flashed in them before he sought your gaze and met you with a face full of challenge.
“First,” he rumbled, his breath on your lips, “address me by my name or my title, not that rank. Ever again. Understood?”
Eyes on his plush, dawn-kissed mouth. “Yes. Second?”
“Second,” tongue in cheek, the hand he’d busied with his erection came up and plucked an article from your arms. It was only after his face became the youngest you’d seen it – taunting eyes and a broad, pompous smile – when you realized what hung from the tip of his forefinger. “I suppose mine might be more comfortable than your own?”
Your mouth fell open – in horror or at his audacity, you did not know. He was thoroughly enjoying himself, waiting for you to squirm as you viewed his boxer-briefs just inches from your face. You wouldn’t give him that satisfaction.
“They are, actually. So, if you don’t mind—” you plucked them from his grasp, not breaking his stare for a second “—I’ll take these.” He only looked between your eyes, his own glinting with amusement. “And here—” you balled up your own panties and clasped your hand to his, tucking both to his chest and smiling sweetly “—if I’ve put you out too many pairs.”
A few seconds passed where all you did was take victory in the stunned setting of his features, and when you reached to activate the door, he caught your hand and pressed a long, hard, lusting kiss to your mouth. When he finished, both of you panting, he circled a canine with the tip of his tongue and took a step back.
“Good luck today,” the door shot open and your heart thrummed at the whoosh of ice over your back. With the tone of his next words – slithering, toying, smug – and remembering his promise to make the hours memorable, you knew he meant nothing to do with your occupation when he said, “you’ll need it.”
Sighing, you stepped into the vacant landing, and shot him one final smirk. “I have my watch if you need me,” you swept your gaze over his bare, muscled body, “if you want me.” No matter if you’d meant to, you’d initiated a game, and for the first time in so long, you were excited to play.
In the few steps from his room to your own, you waited for the gentle lock that indicated the door’s close, but it never came. For a second, you wondered if it had shut and you just did not hear it, but you felt those dark, peering eyes and knew his gaze was following your every move. So when you activated your door, took one step past the threshold, you pulled the skirt of your uniform over your head and stretched your arms above, your bare back arched and ass on display.
In a marked taunt, you purred, “Think of me fondly in my absence, Master Ren.”
You did not wait for a response before activating the door to shut, but one still came in the form of an overwhelming, buzzing pulse between your legs. A high-pitched mewl accompanied your trip forward, yipping until ten endless seconds passed and the pleasure thrumming along your slit subsided.
Game on.
[HORIZONTILE LINE]
With a fresh uniform, and Kylo’s briefs hugging your curves, you strode through the manor – although, you were still unsure what to call this place – and meandered your way around until you found a kitchen. Some of the staff acknowledged you with a small nod, others too busy cutting exotic fruits and preparing for breakfast. Which, passing by two intricately stacked and arranged platters, you knew most of the food being prepared would just as quickly be disposed of.
A woman in a black uniform guided you out of the bustling kitchen, taking you to a dining room. In it was a long table, undoubtedly used for meetings and manipulation, filled with trays of meats and fruits and carafes of juices, a metal one indicative of milk or cream. A large, insulated pot with a gilded, floral handle, steamed at the far end of the table. Caffeine.
There was limited time to eat, only about thirty minutes before the transport arrive, so you took a plate, painted too intricately with the flowers you’d walked through last night, and gathered whatever sustenance might help you make it to lunch. Most importantly, you filled a delicate mug with piping hot caf and carried everything into an adjoining room.
No lights were on, only the rising dawn filtering through thin veils of curtains, and Talia sat at the very end of the otherwise empty, centered table. She was dressed, but looked disheveled, at least for her typical put-together appearance. She wasn’t working alongside you, you knew – your assignment at Canto Bight’s medbay purely aimed at incriminating you – but it was still nice to have a friend, one who was under the same roof and not acting strangely.
Her hands were clamped onto either side of her head and there was a plate of picked-at food pushed to the side, a glass of water placed before her sunken head.
“Hey, Tal,” you started, noting her subtle jump at your voice. When she gave a subtle wave, you took a seat next to her and asked, however redundant, “How’re you feeling this morning?”
A long sigh, fingers comforting her temples. “Do I look that bad?”
A pause, considering. She looked quite pale, but there was no sheen of sweat over her forehead. She was breathing a bit quickly, and her mouth appeared to be parted, like she could be sick at any second. “Well, you’ve looked better, but I’ve seen you at your worst.” A look around the room, tuning your ears to the clang of the kitchen. “Is it nausea?” you whispered.
“Stars,” she winced, more in theatrics than pain, “I’ve spent more time over a toilet than anywhere else since the beginning of this thing.”
You chewed at a fruit you’d never had before, swallowing before saying, “Is it just in the morning or is it all day?”
“Morning sickness is a cruel lie they tell unsuspecting women,” she cleared her throat, finally peering up to you. “At least that’s what I have concluded.”
“Did you sleep last night?” There were purple splotches under her reddened eyes.
A shy smile slipped onto her face, quickly faltering. “I could have gotten more.”
Your brows raised, realizing Talia had a similar night to your own. “Oh?” you hummed.
“A private half of this villa?” she lowered her voice, swallowing, looking to the arch that peered out of the room, “and then adjoined rooms? It’s like they want us to have affairs with our assignments.”
“Well,” you sighed, recounting your night and morning, “perhaps. If that’s the case, can I assume where you slept last night?”
She loosed a breath of amusement. “Shockingly, no.” She shook her head, closing her eyes again before explaining, “I haven’t told him. Yet. Still. I stayed with him until he fell asleep but made it back to my room before I could hurl up everything I’d eaten yesterday.” A small, bitter laugh. “Do you know how impossible it is to throw up quietly?”
A warm sip of caf and you tapped her wrist, earning her attention back. Eyes filled with concern, you asked, quieter than the distant shore, “Are you afraid to tell him?”
“I’ve tried,” she sighed, completely exasperated, “This past week I have had so many opportunities – traveling here, the last few days on the Finalizer… last night.” Talia ran her finger along the rim of her glass. “I want to tell him. I need to, if I’m being honest. Time sensitive issue and everything.”
“Has he suspected anything, or do you know?”
A gloom shrunk her features, her focus shifting to the window behind your shoulder. “I think that’s why I haven’t told him. Armitage is always busy, running off to this place and that. I love the time I spend with him, I do. But, his lifestyle isn’t necessarily… compatible, I guess. Not with a baby. Not with, not with a partner. Not with me.”
“Oh, Talia.”
“No, I’m okay,” she shrugged, sad eyes going back to her glass, “I think I’m just biding my time. Preparing for the worst.”
“And what would the worst be, here?”
The room went silent, still, a few staff members replacing what you’d picked from the trays. For a few minutes there was only the sound of far-away waves and the kitchen’s relentless clattering, but Talia cleared the silence with a drag of breath. “The worst would be me telling him, him not wanting anything to do with me or my situation, being removed from his service and out of a job, publicly disgraced and shamed for carrying the General’s bastard kid, and just wholly ruined socially, occupationally, and personally.” There was quiet fear clawing at her eyes, but she forced a pleading smile.
“Wow,” you breathed, cutting through the intense moment, “it’s almost like you’ve thought about it before.”
A pitiful laugh. “Yeah, just a little.”
“Well, there’s always the alternative,” you shrugged. “Maybe none of that scary stuff will happen. Maybe Hux will embrace it. Embrace you and your situation. Because it isn’t just yours, Talia,” she considered your next words before you said, “it’s his, too.” You clasped her hand, trying to get across that she could come to you whenever she needed. “When you’re ready, or at least before you’re in labor,” you shared a laugh, “tell him. I think… I think people can surprise you if you let them. Maybe Hux will do just that.”
The pact that bound you seemed to glow, such gratefulness in her expression. She smiled and slipped her hand from yours, sipped from her glass and shook her head. “Well, now that you’ve bandaged my crisis, how are you doing? Only a couple days before everything gets real.”
Though you knew it was true, you’d barely considered the trial. Aside from Karmen’s rundown yesterday, you’d spent most of your time preparing for your shift, worrying about Mason, and cooped up with Kylo Ren. So maybe it would all feel real when you got there, but as of right now you’d scarcely thought of it.
“I think I’m doing better than I should be,” you sighed, nibbling a piece of toast. “Like you said, this place is rather extravagant, and then this whole city is unbelievable. I don’t know, maybe I’m just avoiding thinking about it. And, like you, I’m preparing for the worst.”
A glum smile hardly met her eyes. “Your worst is far worse than mine. I can’t even imagine.”
“You and Mason both, I guess. Although, you’re not as cryptic with it as he’s been.”
“Trouble in paradise?” She notched a brow.
You breathed a giggle, remembering you needed to clarify, “Just trouble, no paradise. Mason and I aren’t together.”
Talia was completely taken aback, no hiding her shocked expression. “Oh. I mean, I just assumed… Are you sure? Does he know you aren’t together?”
“I’d assume so,” her tone made you wary, not sure what was so obvious.
“I’m sorry, I really just thought since seeing him in the medbay so often that you two were a thing. Like, a serious thing.”
“We’re not,” your tone was short, but you breathed before saying, “I’m seeing him tomorrow. I need- ah, ah, fu-,”
That buzzing Force claimed your cunt, drilling both sweet spots and making it impossible to breathe. After a few seconds, its presence – its master – merciless, you crossed your legs and knitted your hands together in your lap, coughing to try and hide the sensation’s vision-blurring effects.
Talia was stunned, but before she could ask, you continued, “I’m see-seeing Mason tomorr-ow, and ha! Wow, and,” it felt like Kylo was thrusting inside of you, your toes curled in your shoes. “And grabbing some clothes for the trial. He also said he wants to ta- oh, okay.” You stomped both your feet to the floor, leaning down to the table and chugging the rest of your coffee.
“Are you alright?” Talia leaned forward, but you waved a hand in dismissal.
“I’m fine, I’m fine. So clothes and then Mason wants to talk!” You stumbled away from her and tried to keep from cursing Kylo Ren outwardly, a few shouts of goodbye falling behind when you eventually got out into the main halls of the manor.
The pulse between your legs finally let up, and you had half a mind to tromp back to his room and knee him where it’d hurt, but there were five minutes before transport would arrive, so you decided it would need to wait for a later date.
“If you can hear this,” you hissed, searching the halls for onlookers, “I’m going to-,” a swirl of pressure laved your sensitive bud, sending you tripping into the foyer. “Kylo.” It let up again. He let up. Maybe you would have tried another retort, but the grand entrance slid open, and at the bottom of the dawn-draped stairs awaited CB-7070.
She had a hand clasped to her wrist, not a blaster in sight, and her face remained hidden by a white helmet. The gold band over her right wrist shimmering with the sliver of sunlight to your left. Consciously, you half-circled her, wariness creeping along your veins. Nothing she had done, but… for a second you dropped your eyes to that familiar break in her uniform. You swallowed when you looked back to her visor, not offering a smile, and keeping at least three paces away at all times.
“Morning,” she muffled out your last name, pivoting to face you. When she took a step forward, you tried not to, but you backed away in suit. She stopped her advance.
Without a word, you nodded, pushing your hands into your pockets.
CB-7070 cleared her throat. “I’ve been informed by Commander Ren that you can assign me a name if you choose.”
“No,” you said, too quickly. “No, that won’t be necessary. CB-7070 is fine. We won’t know each other long.”
“Understood, ma’am.”
“Use my first name,” you commanded, running a finger along your uniform’s embroidery.
“Understood,” this time she used your own name – no titles, no pleasantries.
With only two minutes before transport, you said, “You’re aware you will not be in any of my patients’ rooms, correct?”
“I have been briefed on Cantonica’s privacy laws, yes.”
You peered side-long at her. “Good.”
When she spoke your name, there was a measure of nerves you couldn’t help but notice. “Is there anything you need from me that will make this arrangement easier for you?”
There was little time to think, but something in your head was screaming to request the one thing you felt would minimize the pit of dread rooting in your gut.
Plainly, facing her, arms crossed, you said, “Show me your face.”
Without hesitation, the stormtrooper unlatched and removed her helmet. She was dark-skinned, full lips and deep brown eyes inherent of the desert around her, genetic protection from the lifelong sun on this planet. Dark brunette curls were smoothed to her scalp, twisted into a tight bun at its base. Her face was round, and with the slight smile she gave, her cheeks crinkled a pair of gentle eyes. So young. Too young.
“How old are you?” There was a harshness in your words, not entirely intentional.
CB-7070 did pause at that. After squaring her shoulders she said, “Eighteen. Nineteen soon.” Her voice was kind, warm.
“I don’t need you to prove yourself,” you guessed as much at her posture, “I can assume if you’re here, at this… place-,”
“The Consulate.”
Consulate. “Thank you,” you continued. “Since you’re stationed at the Consulate, I can assume you’ve already done enough grunt work,” those early weeks, before Kylo Ren, flashed in your mind’s eye, dehydrated soldiers, strung out in preparation for the attack on the Republic. Sighing, watching the sky for any incoming ships, you took one step toward her. “No, I don’t need you to prove yourself. But I do need you to have my back.”
She stood even straighter at that.
“I know you’re assigned to watch me and report to the General, and I’ll just say right now that neither of us is the other’s favorite person. But I am not your enemy. I’m not an enemy.”
She looked at you, hearing the approaching ship, and just before it sped too close to blast your hearing, the young Stormtrooper nodded and said, “I was briefed on your case. You are not an enemy. You saved that man, an engineer. One of many who normally go unseen and unnoticed. I will do my job, but I am not biased to you or my General.” She angled her eyes to the sky and tucked her head back into the helmet. “As much as my assignment is to monitor you, I have been trained to protect the officers and officials of the First Order. And given you kept the Commander alive after Starkiller went down – you are one of the most important officers I’ve been tasked with.”
You hadn’t known that was general knowledge, her admission striking through every chamber of your heart. The memory of that day. People had seen such a different side of it, they’d seen you protect and serve when minutes prior you were begging for death in the dark of your residence. The day you could have used a savior, others had painted you as their own.
CB-7070 marched to the transport’s descended ramp and faced you. “Ready when you are.”
With a straight back, hands smoothing over your uniform, you approached the ramp, waiting for CB-7070 to follow behind. She stood next to you, but before you took a step further, you turned to the Consulate, and then to the sea that spanned beside and behind it, and you quieted all that Canto Bight had already presented.
Today was not about Snoke, or Mason, or Kylo. Today was about you and your patients, whoever they would be. Today you were not Commander Ren’s Care Provider.
Today you would be a nurse, and that meant more than anything.

Chapter 5 Chapter 7
Toshinori watched from the doorway of what he once called home. He watched men in police uniforms, suits and ties, and underground heroes, rush through the apartment. Now living exclusively on campus, the apartment felt like a grim reminder of your absence. Your mother and Xavier poured over pages upon pages of eyewitnesses and anything else that could give them a clue.
Unlike the last time the heroes found and raided The League, there were no signs of known members. Meaning they were either being more careful, or they were no longer in Musutafu. He shuffled into the room, sitting down on the couch and looking outside to large windows onto the city below. Suddenly, the phone rang.
Everyone froze. Heads swiftly turned. Was this news of your disappearance? Had you been found? Detective Tsukauchi was the first to move. Slowly picking the receiver, and placing it to his ear.
"Hello?"
"Hello, yes, who is this?" A scratchy voice asked.
"I am Detective Tsukauchi. Who am I speaking with?" His voice was firm and demanding. A dark chuckle came from the other end, sending a chill down the poor mansion spine.
"I think you know who I am, detective." Another laugh rattled from Shigaraki's chest. You watched him from the other line. Everyone sitting patiently around him as they watched him on the phone. You sat beside him, hands placed on either side of you on the couch. Anxiously waiting for your turn.
"Can I-"
"Shh." He hushed you gently, putting a finger to his lips before they broke into a wide smile.
"You see I just called because someone here has a little message for you. It's family business you see, would All Might be available to talk?" He pulled the phone away before letting loose another laugh. The room jumped and coiled in uncontrollable laughter. Like a group of kids making a prank phone call.
"Shigaraki...I swear if you lay a finger on her I'll-"
"Hold on one sec, she's right here. Y/N?" He pulled his attention away from the phone and smiled at you as he handed it over. You took it and gently pressed it to your ear.
"....Dad?"
"Y/N! Are you alright? Have they hurt you?"
"No...No I'm fine actually." Shigaraki watched you with a clever smile stretched across his face. He leaned back against the couch, resting his head in his hand. Clearly very proud of himself and the torment he caused.
"Where are you?"
"I don't know actually. It's like a repurposed office building I think. I don't know where it is, all the windows are boarded up. They brought me by car."
"By car?”
"Yeah, I don't really know what they're up to. I mean, I do, I just... I don't know they do things weird." Shigaraki's smile slowly started to fade as you critiqued. When you looked up and saw his expression, you felt compelled to respond. "What? You do." You told him. He shrugged you off.
"You sound...alright." Your father said, confused and concerned.
"I guess I am relatively okay. They feed me and clothe me and no ones been really that bad to me yet so...I'm okay I guess."
"She's lying!" You heard a voice chirp from the other line. Your stomach turned. Xavier was there?
"Y/N! Y/N tell us where you are!" Your mother demanded as she wrenched the phone away from your father. Her voice was jarring and rough. You tensed up.
"I...I don't know where I am. I told him it’s like an old office building I-"
"Can you tell us anything else? What do you remember from the car ride?" She was frantic now.
"Nothing. I had a bag over my head the whole time. This place has some electricity and some running water but it’s not to the whole building? It's old... it's been years since anyone has been here-"
"Anything else!?" She cried. You paused.
"No...I...I'm fine otherwise." Shigaraki made a 'speed it up' motion with his hand. "I...I have a message for Detective Tsukauchi, could you put him back on?"
"Let me talk to her!" Xavier begged.
"I don't have much time, please, Detective-"
"Y/N! Baby!" You cringed at the sound of your boyfriend’s panicked voice.
"Hey, babe. I'm fine." You tried to brush him off.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
"I'm alright, I guess. A little tired. Scared." You had to remember the last part.
"I can't imagine what you're going through without your meds."
"Oh. Yeah. My meds. I'm losing my mind." You said in a flat, sarcastic tone. It made the others snicker.
"Just remember your breathing exercises we did, okay? Do them with me now, okay? You ready?"
"Yeah-uh-"
"One, two, three, in.........out. Okay? One, two, three IN! . . . . . . . . OUT! One, two, three, in . . . . . . OUT! Okay? Do them with me. Remember to align your chakras!" He went on like this for a solid minute. Unable to contain yourself, you covered your mouth with your hand and held the speaker out so the whole room could laugh at him. Even Shigaraki, who turned away to laugh joined in on the fun. "Y/N?"
"Yeah?" You smiled through.
"We're coming to get you, alright? Just hang tight a little longer."
"Uhuh."
"Don't worry, okay?"
"Okay."
"I love you, sugar muffin."
"Right. So Detective Tsukauchi."
"Okay, yes, here he is...I love you!"
"Love you too." You chuckled, your hand playing with the flesh between your brow as you laughed at him.
"Y/N." Finally.
"I just, have a message from the villains." You told him with an awkward smile.
"Go ahead." You looked up at your captor.
"They say if All Might doesn't come forward soon, they won't be giving me back." You watched his smile widen. "They want the world to know the Heroes' failures. It's either me or the truth. Your choice." And with that, you hung up the phone. The room fell into a satisfied and relaxed state. A sense of victory went around the room as smiles and giggles greeted you.
"Who the hell was that last guy!?" Toga shouted as she laughed.
"Oh, that was Xavier, my boyfriend."
"Ooh! Boyfriend! How Sweet!-Gross!" Twice added.
"You've never mentioned a partner before, Y/N." Mr. Compresss added. You shrugged.
"I guess I forgot. Being kidnapped and all."
"You've been pretty forgetful latley haven't you? First your meds, now this. Anything else you care to share with us?" Dabi questioned.
"Not that I can think of. I guess sometimes I forget I should be scared nowadays." You paused before turning to look back at Shigaraki who wore a satisfied grin as his eyes wandered around the floor. Clearly dissociating. “Shigaraki?”
"Hm?"
"...what happens to me, if they don't comply?"
"They will."
"Are you going to kill me?" He rolled his eyes.
"No. I'm not going to kill you. Especially now with that quirk of yours."
"But-"
"Are you really questioning why I'm not going to kill you?" He took the phone in his hand and dusted the object. He stood and started walking out to another room.
"I just...aren’t I a pain in the ass to keep around?" You asked the room. A few answered with a nod, others stayed silent.
"Come on. I wanna show you something." You stood and followed him down the hallway. You followed him through the building, through the parts that were inhabitable and rotting. He took you up a few flights, up to the very top just before the roof. There was a large room filled with old desks, chairs, computers, etc. He stopped in front of a large window that overlooked the city. "Come here." You stood beside him and looked out the window at the people walking around. You saw an old alleyway that housed a few homeless people as they went about their day. A few passers-by ignoring them and rushing past. "What do you see?"
"A group of homeless people. Why?"
"And what about him?" You watched as a man, well dressed and well-kept walked down the street. He starred at a man who begged him for money, then laughed in his face before walking away.
"Some asshole." You noted. He smiled.
"The world is littered with them. And it’s the heroes that encourage it, they demand it. They created a world where we steal and rob and ignore each other assuming someone else will take care of it. Heroes created a society that requires you to assimilate, to obey. If not, you're thrown away like trash." He grumbled as he watched the homeless man.
"Is that...what happened to you?" You asked. He didn't answer. "What about her?" You watched as a woman passing through stopped to give the homeless man some change.
"What? You think she deserves a pat on the back for the bare minimum?" He snarled.
"Huh?"
"What good does that one act do, huh!? He'll have a meal and live to see another miserable day. She solved a minor problem, she's not doing any real good. And she doesn't deserve anything for it."
"But-"
"It doesn't matter unless you do something to change the bigger picture. She can give all the change she wants, take him in for all I care. But she only helps one person! She won't do any real good unless she demands change for them! Unless she actively works to make sure people like him don't end up like that!" You took a few steps back as he yelled.
"Alright! You don't have to yell at me!" You barked, the tension in the room coming to a climax when your quirk pulled a few chairs and tables closer to you. Making a horrible screeching sound as it did. "I understand." You finally spoke when the two of you had calmed down.
"If All Might doesn't come forward and tell the truth, you'll be working with us."
"What? Why? My quirk is dangerous and volatile. I have no control, I'd be practically useless."
"That's why your training starts today."
"Training?"
"What? You wanna be a slave to your quirk forever? Because if you wanna go back on your meds, you can. But I doubt you want to keep living in fear of yourself." You thought for a second before answering.
"I...I don't know..." He slowly started to approach you.
"You don't have to be afraid anymore. I can help you."
"How? You hardly have control of your own emotions as it is. You think you could help teach me to control mine?" You chuckled.
"If my research is right, this isn't about control, it’s about distribution."
"Distribution..."
"If you could learn to express your emotions properly. Let yourself be free from the fear of your own quirk, you could learn to repurpose that energy, and gain anatomy."
"Those disgusting bastards!" Xavier growled under his breath as his nails dug into the sleeve of his button-up. He rattled with rage in the corner as others worked. Your mother paced back and forth, spewing theory after theory.
"She sounded...fine..." Toshinori said in disbelief.
"Clearly she's traumatized beyond repair!" Your mother declared.
"Everyone." Another detective called. The room fell silent. "I think you should hear this." Pressing play, the sound of your recorded voice played out.
"In......OUT! One, two, three, IN.........out." From the other line, the sound of soft snickering and laughter could be heard. Your laughs being the loudest.
"Is she, laughing?" Your father asked.
"She's laughing...with them," Xavier observed.
"What!? Laughing? A reflex! She's disturbed! She's hysterical!" Your mother shouted.
"They're turning her," Xavier said softly. "They're corrupting her...without her meds she's left defenseless and scared. They're taking advantage of her good nature!"
"We got it." Detective Tsukauchi declared.
"Got what?"
"Well, it was difficult considering it was a prepaid wireless phone but...We've got her location."

masterlist
Disclaimer: I’ve only ever had very mild panic attacks so I’m going to use my own experiences to write this, but I do understand that they can be very severe and I’m not in any way trying to romanticize anything at all. I love you, stay safe <3
-------------------------
“Hey bug, you ready to come home?” You sighed, realizing that summer was ending and you would be having to go back to Alaska for school. It hadn’t snuck up on you, but some part of you had hoped that you’d get to stay with your brother forever.
“I guess…” You mumbled back, not wanting to hurt your parents but also not wanting to go back.
“You’re all set to fly out in a few days, we can’t wait to see you!” Your mom exclaimed. You could hear the excitement in her voice which only broke your heart even more. The familiar feeling began to bubble up in your chest, making it seem like you couldn’t breathe in all the way, like something was taking up space in your lungs preventing you from getting enough oxygen. This hadn’t happened all summer, not since you came to live with Rudy. It had been so long since you felt it, you almost forgot the feeling altogether.
“Sweetie? You still there?” Your mom’s voice brought you out of your own head and back into the real world, where a few minutes of silence had passed.
“Yeah, yeah I’m here. I’ll see you soon. Love you guys.” You quickly ended the conversation, wanting to get as far away from your phone as possible, as your mind assimilated it with the panic you were feeling.
This time, you were able to keep yourself calm.
--
“Baby, do you really have to leave?” Your boyfriend asked, his arms sliding around your waist, leaving goosebumps in their wake. The feeling of his skin on yours always ignited a fire within you, one you didn’t want to put out. You leaving in a few days felt like a storm threatening to wash away the wildfire the two of you had created together.
“Yeah… I have to go back to school, my brother is gonna be filming season two of his show in Charleston, I’d have no one to stay with…” You mumbled into his chest, soaking in his scent, aching to remember every piece of him. Part of you wanted to believe that a long-distance relationship with him would work but the rest of you knew that it wasn’t fair to either of you.
“Go to school here, with us! You could stay with me!” One of your best friends chimed in. A spark of hope lit up in your stomach, maybe you could stay. But then, like clockwork, that same feeling from earlier began to slither its way through your body. Your mind raced to all the things you’d be leaving behind, all the friends you had back home that you hadn’t seen in months.
But as your mind raced and you sat with your new friends, and boyfriend (something you never thought you’d get back home), you realized the people in this room meant more to you than the people back home, who were only still friends with you because they didn’t have anyone else to be friends with. That still didn’t keep the panic at bay, but once again, you were able to keep yourself calm.
--------------
“Roo, I wanna talk to you about something…” You said, coming into his room that night.
“What’s up kid?” He asked, watching you sit down next to him on his bed. The way you twiddled your thumbs and chewed on your lips told him you were nervous about something, his mind racing to find out what it could be. The energy in the room shifted, and it was like all the oxygen had been sucked out of the room. Taking a big gulp, you started trying to verbalize your thoughts, even though it felt like you couldn’t breathe.
“So… I was thinking- maybe- I… I could stay here with my friends and go to school here. She said she’d- she’d talk to her mom and ask if it was ok. But like, I would- I would need your help talking to mom and dad because I don’t want to hurt their feelings, but I really- really don;t want to go back home…” You stumbled out, hoping that he would understand what you had just word vomited at him. Slowly, you began to feel the burn of tears coming to your eyes, and desperately you tried to hold them back.
“You want to stay here? How come?” He asked. He sat up, coaxing you into his arms cause he knows it calms you down. You laid your head on his chest and kept trying to take deep breaths as he stroked your hair.
“I feel more understood by the people I’ve met here than I do by anyone in that stupid little town…” You whispered, “I’ve gotten closer to them in 3 months than I did to anyone back home in 16 years, Rudy. I have no one... no one real anyway.”
“So you want to stay here in LA?” He asked again and you nodded. The sound of his voice was distant, sounding miles away. You did your best to focus on your breathing but that focus was quickly slipping away as your breathing became more sporadic and uneven. It was as if something was sitting on your chest, preventing you from getting enough air.
“I’ll talk to mom and dad and see what they say. Kiddo, I need you to focus on your breathing ok? Focus on taking a deep breath all the way in and breathing all the way out.” He continued to run his fingers through your hair as you gasped in deep breaths and let the tears fall down your face. Slowly, the room started opening back up and even though the tears still ran down your face and your hands shook like an earthquake, it got a little easier to breathe.
“That’s it, just like that,” He cooed. You sighed at the sound of his voice, remembering when you used to get these all the times before Rudy left home. After he was gone, they picked up even more and your mom and dad just didn’t quite know how to ground you like Rudy did. He was always there to protect you, it was a kick in the gut when he left you. But here he was, calming you down.
-----------------------------
Rudy sat up in the living room, the next morning. You were still asleep, somewhat exhausted from last night's events. The phone rang and he took a deep breath, hoping for nothing more than to be able to get you what you want.
“Hey Rudy! How have you been?” Your guys’ mom answered and he smiled, hearing the happiness in her voice.
“Hey mom, is dad around?” He asked and heard shuffling on the other end. Suddenly his dad's voice sounded from the line and they got a little lost in simple conversation. Rudy then remembered exactly why he called them and got down to business.
“So I wanna talk to you about Y/n…” He trailed off and your parents went a little quiet. He started to feel the sweat gather on his palms and gulped down the nervous lump in his throat, noticing the shift of energy in the call.
“Is she ok? Did something happen to her?” Your dad spewed out, worried that something might have happened to his little girl, but he shook his head before remembering they couldn’t see him.
“No no no she’s fine, but I know you guys are gonna be a little skeptical about what I’m going to tell you,” He sighed before continuing on, “ She wants to stay here for the school year…”
The line went quiet. He could tell his parents were shocked, the fact that their daughter didn’t want to come home was a lot to process and they had no idea what the reasoning behind it was.
“What do you mean? She doesn’t want to come home?” The woman gasped, feeling tears well up in her eyes.
“She’s ade some really awesome friends, people she’s closer to than anyone she is with at home. She’s already lined up a place to stay while I’m shooting. I think you’d really like them actually. It’s one of her best friends and her mom, they’re really nice! I think you guys should change Y/n’s ticket so that you guys can come down here…” He rushed out, hoping they understood him, but he was met with silence once again.
“Uhm… We’re not making any promises, but we’ll come down there so we can talk about this as a family…” His dad said and he nodded with a smile, agreeing.
----------------------
You woke up feeling the events from last night lingering in your shoulders and neck.
It was a familiar ache that only ever happened after an attack, a muscle tightness that made it feel as though you’d been sleeping on concrete for the past week. Doing your best to roll out the soreness, you walked into the kitchen to see Rudy with a look on his face that you couldn’t read.
“So… I talked to mom and dad, and they’re gonna come here so we can talk about you staying!” He smiled and you felt like a little bit of the weight you’d been feeling lifted.
“When are they coming?”
“They’ll be here tomorrow,” He said, coming over and hugging me tightly, “We’ll get you where you need to be kid, promise!”
----------------------
The tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a knife. Your parents sat across from you and your brother, silently. You could tell they were deep in thought, but it didn’t help the shaking that began to take over your hands.
All you wanted was for them to understand. They weren’t always great at that…
“Mom, are you gonna say anything?” You finally asked, wincing when she let out a sign.
“Y/n, I just don’t like the idea of you living with someone you just met three months ago....” She said finally and your dad nodded along with her.
“You don’t understand though. I’m closer to them than I am to anybody back home! I know her and I know that she cares about me, her mom cares about me! When I wasn’t here, I was there. I’m practically already a part of the family! She’s had me and Rudy over for dinner so many times I lost count. She’s hosted dinner parties for the cast because she wants to get to know the people close to Rudy and I because she cares! She’s like a second mom to me. And I love you guys, I really do. But I’m just not happy at home! It doesn’t feel like home anymore. This… This feels like home.” You stood up, pacing back and forth, your voice gradually raising to try and hold in the tears that threatened to fall.
“Baby…”
“Momma…” You whispered pleadingly, looking her in the eyes for the first time since she’d arrived and finally letting the tears fall. Rudy was next to you in seconds, pulling you into his arms, doing his best to keep you grounded so you didn’t fall off the edge.
The silence was filled by your sniffles and Rudy’s whispers into your ear. Your parents looked at each other with a knowing look in their eyes. It was obvious that they were not your home anymore, and no matter how much it broke their hearts they knew they had to let you go.
“Y/n, honey, we want to meet the family first, but we think you should stay. We want you to be happy bug, and if this is where you’re happy, then this is where you should be!” Your mom finally said, coming over and wrapping you and your brother in a tight hug. Your dad followed in suit and soon enough you started to feel yourself calm down.

Russian Lullaby- Natasha Romanoff x Daughter! Reader
Tumblr media
Warning: kidnapping, angst, sad! Natasha, mom! Natasha, fluff, Stockholm Syndrome
Summary: When you were 3, you were kidnapped and raised to believe that your kidnapper was your mother but you find out the truth when you were 16 and find out who your real mother is but you just can't forget about your past that easily
Word Count- 2493
(this is a request from my Wattpad)
~~~~~~
Natasha remembers the exact day she gave birth. It was a grueling 12 hours of labor but it was all worth it when she heard your cries. They cut the cord and gave you to her. She cried happy tears. "Hello, моя любовь. I'm your mom. I promise to protect you as long forever. It's me and you, моя любовь навсегда." She hugged you closer and kissed your head. You grabbed her hand with your little finger and smiled. She looked down at you with pure adoration.
As you grew up, your mom taught you Russian as your second language. You knew the meanings of simple words like "my love" and "bed".
You lived in the compound along with the other avengers. They really didn't mind because you almost never cried at night at all. You would just sit up and play with your stuffed animals until either Jarvis alerted your mother you were awake or she came in to check on you. Sometimes, Tony would stop in and peak his head into your room to see if you were awake. One time, you were just staring at him sea green eyes. He smiled and walked over to your crib. "What's up, little assassin?" He held his hand out and you gave him a high five. He smiled and picked you up. "Let's go annoy Bruce since he decided not to let me work on my projects." He walked with you in his arms to Bruce's lab.
Bruce turned around when he heard footsteps. "Tony, if you have come to bother me about not helping you with your project again, please leave me alone." He turned around and saw you in Tony's arms with your fist in your mouth. He smiled and put down the syringe he had in his hand. He walked over and carefully took your hand out of your mouth. You smiled at him and waved. "Hey, y/n? Why are you up?" You just stared at him and shrugged. Tony and Bruce then kept you down in the lab until your mom got up. She walked to your room and saw a note pinned on your crib. She was internally freaking out until she read it. "Trip down to the lab to go to bed- Stark :)." She rolled her eyes and walked down to the lab. She approached around the corner and saw you in Tony's arms. She smiled a little. You turned around and saw her and smiled so big, you could see the few teeth you had. "Mama!" Tony and Bruce turned around to see Natasha standing in the door, smiling at you. Tony looked like he was going to crap his pants. Natasha walked over with her hands out and took you into her arms. "Hello, моя любовь. Did you have fun with uncle tony and Bruce?" You smiled and shook your head yes. She smiled and kissed your cheek, causing you to start a chorus of laughter. Natasha remembers those days and oh, how she missed them.
~~~~~~
All the happiness changed when Natasha put you down for a nap one afternoon. She sung you a song called "Russian Lullaby." She walked with you, half sleeping into your room. She gently placed you in your crib and started humming.
"Every night you'll hear her croon
A Russian lullaby
Just a little plaintive tune
When baby starts to cry
Rock-a-bye my baby
Somewhere there may be
A land that's free for you and me
And a Russian lullaby"
She tucked you in and kissed your head. She watched as you closed your eyes and fell asleep. She smiled and quietly shut the door. But, that nap was different than all the others. A women had been watching you and Natasha for weeks. Her name was Ella. She saw Natasha when she arrived at shield one day. Ella worked there and overheard Natasha talking to fury about you and how she was blessed to have you. Ella got jealous because she was infertile. She's always wanted kids and she could never have any of her own. She thought Natasha was too but by a miracle, she had a baby. A gorgeous, green eyed one. Ella had a plot to get what she finally wanted. She would sneak into the compound and take you.
Ella set her plan in motion the moment she temporarily disabled Jarvis. She found the vents and climbed through them. She knew she had to be quick. Jarvis could only be temporary disabled for 7 minutes. She followed the vent until it was right about your room. She carefully opened the vent and quietly landed. She walked over to your crib and looked down at you. She smiled and brushed a piece of hair out of your face. "Hello, my child." She carefully picked you up and quietly climbed back into the vent, leaving the compound.
When Jarvis came back on, he alerted everyone that someone had disabled him. Everyone got antsy. How could someone break into the compound without being spotted. Natasha had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. She made a beeline for your room, with everyone following behind her. When she reached, she pushed your door open and her heart dropped. In your crib, where she had left you no more than 10 minutes ago, was nothing. It was completely empty. She rushed over to your crib and started flipping blankets over. She checked every inch of that room and then the realization kicked in. You were kidnapped. Her knees buckled and she almost completely fell if Steve was not behind her. She sobbed and hit her hand on the floor.
~~~~~~
Meanwhile, when you woke up, you were in a different crib. You looked around and realized that your room was completely different. You got scared and started to cry. Ella ran in and picked you up. "Aw, it's ok. Mama's here." You cried even more and screamed. "Mama!"
~~~~~~
Eventually, you got used to Ella and started to call her mom.
Time passed and everything seemed to be good for Ella. Natasha, however, was so upset. As soon as you were missing, she called Fury and he had a huge search. Then, all the avengers searched individually, but they could never find you. It's like you just vanished off the face of the earth and that's what hurt Natasha the most.
~~~~~~
You quickly grew up. By this time, you were nearing your 16th birthday. It was a huge deal. You hoped this would be the day that your mom lets you get a phone or social media or something. Maybe even enroll you in real school.
That night, you had a dream that you'd been having for as long as you could remember. You would be laying in bed and hear humming. Then, a red haired lady would come in. She would be singing a song that sounded so familiar.
"Every night you'll hear her croon
A Russian lullaby
Just a little plaintive tune
When baby starts to cry
Rock-a-bye my baby
Somewhere there may be
A land that's free for you and me
And a Russian lullaby"
She would brush the hair out of your face, kiss your forehead and say "Goodnight, моя любовь." Then that would be the end of the dream. You never told your mom about the dream because it just seemed so weird.
~~~~~~
On your birthday, your mom went out to get you a cake. You took this chance to explore. You always loved yo explore. You were looking in her closet to see if she had hidden any presents. You pulled something and a box fell on the floor, the top coming off.
In the box was pictures of you being held in this red haired woman's arms. You couldn't see her face in that picture so you looked into the book for more. You saw another and almost screamed. It was the same lady from your dreams. Now that you had a clear look at her face, she looked so much like you. You continued looking in the box and saw a file folder. It had the same logo your mom used to have at her old job before she got transferred. You opened the file and started reading it. "Natasha Romanoff. Spy, avenger. Children- one." You saw your name. "Wait..." you flipped the page and saw a baby picture of you." Your mouth dropped open. "That lady in my dreams is my mother? But then who's the lady here?" You decided to find her and find out yourself. You saw the address as Stark towers. You packed a bag, grabbed a map and a few dollars. You walked out the door and waited for the bus. When it came, you got on.
~~~~~~
It didn't take very long for you to reach Stark towers. There was a man leaving the building. He looked fancy. He had on glasses and a fancy suit. He must know who this Natasha is. You walked up behind him and tapped his shoulder. "Um, hello. Do you know where Natasha Romanoff is? I need to talk to her?l he turned around and his jaw almost dropped. He just stared at you, in shock. He then snapped back into reality. "Yes. Yes, I know her. Um, follow me." He walked towards the building again and held the door for you. When he walked in, a voice greeted him. "Welcome back, mister Stark. I thought you had a meeting." He waved them off. "I have a more important matter, Jarvis. Tell Natasha I have to talk to her. It's important." The voice responded. "Right way, Mister Stark." Tony sat you down on the couch. "Can I get you anything kid? Water, apple juice, milk?" You shook your head. "No thank you." You gave him a shy smile. Just then, you heard the elevator ding from behind you. "What do you want, Tony?" You turned around to see that lady from your dreams. She looked up from her tablet and looked at you dead in the eye. She dropped the tablet in shock and quick ran over to the seat next to you. "Y/n?" You smiled. "Hi." She started to cry. Tony smiled and slipped out to tell everyone else. "Where have you been? Are you ok? Are you hurt?" You shook your head. "No, I'm fine. I just wanted to ask you a question." She shook her head. "Of course. Ask away." You pulled out the picture of you in her file. "Are you...my mom?" She looked at the file and back at you. "Yes. Do you...not remember me?" She seemed to look sad. You felt bad. "No. Well, I mean, I see dreams with you in them. And you're singing this song." Her face perked up. "Well. It's true. I'm your mother. You were kidnapped 13 years ago." You're eyes went wide. You were kidnapped. The lady that raised you isn't your real mother. She stripped your real mother of her kid. You audibly gasped. "I know it's a lot to take in. We can take it slow." You smiled at her. "Thank you. So, can I stay here?" Natasha smiled. "Yes. I'd like that very much."
~~~~~~
Over the next few days, you got to know everyone at the compound. You had gotten word from Natasha that they had arrested your mother and put in a shield facility prison. You felt sorrow deep down for her. I mean, you thought she was your mother your whole life.
You were trying to sleep one night but you just couldn't. Your brain was on overload trying to process everything. You started to cry. Then, there was a knock on the door. Natasha poked her head through and gave you a shy smile. She saw your tears and carefully walked over to your bed. "What's wrong?" You sniffled. "I know you're my mother but she raised me. I went this whole time thinking she was my mother. I don't know if I coude ever forget her." Natasha tried to give you a hug but you pushed her away. Her face turned sad as she gave you a sad smile and walked towards the door. "Goodnight."
~~~~~~
You had started to go on missions a few months into moving in with the tower.
Your latest mission was was to go and retrieve a file from an abandoned hydra building. Steve and Natasha were tasked to go with you. You guys took the quinjet and arrived after a short drive.
You could tell Natasha was keeping her distance but also keeping an eye on you. After you pushed her away, she didn't seem to push you anymore.
The mission didn't go as planned. It wasn't abandoned. It was a trap. You guys were ambushed. Two agents got you. They shot you 3 times; two in the chest and one in the leg. Natasha and Steve then took them down. After taking them down, she ran over to you. "Y/n? Can you hear me? Keep your eyes open." You tried to hard but your vision just went black
~~~~~~
When you woke up, you saw Natasha sleeping in the chair next to you. You grunted as you tried to find a comfortable spot. She stirred as she heard your movement. She opened her eyes and sighed. "Oh, thank god. I'm glad you're awake." She leaned over to kiss your forehead but then remembered. She gave you a shy smile and started to stand up. "I'll let you be by yourself for a while." As she was walking to the door, you called out to her in your hoarse  voice. "Can you sing the lullaby?" She turned around to look at you, confused. You gave her a small smile. She walked back over with a smile on her face and sat down next to you, cuddling close. She started humming.
"Every night you'll hear her croon
A Russian lullaby
Just a little plaintive tune
When baby starts to cry
Rock-a-bye my baby
Somewhere there may be
A land that's free for you and me
And a Russian lullaby"
When she finished, you had cuddled next to her and looked at her lovingly. "I love you, mama." She started to cry happy tears. "I love you too, моя любовь." She then started humming the lullaby again.
A/n: ok, wow. i love this. anyways here's the song i found. i hope you like it:)

You knew the opportunity was unique, any mistake and Doom would win, you ran as fast as you could, it was the only option, and there was no one closer. You thought you heard screaming behind you, you ignored it, you weren't even sure if they followed you, there was no time to waste, you felt you were short of air, but at last you had reached your goal, you took out the tools and started disabling the equipment... a few minutes later you knew what to do.
You turned to see Steve, it would be the last time, your sacrifice would save the world, and for a few seconds you closed your eyes to avoid the tears from coming out, you gave one last look at your boyfriend.
"I love you... goodbye Steve, "you whispered as you took off the bracelet you used to contain your powers.
A blinding light illuminated the place, Steve was stunned, he could not believe it, he knew perfectly well what that light meant; the plan did not contemplate any sacrifice, he could not conceive that there was any way in which it failed.
Immediately Steve ran to where the light had originated, began to remove the debris desperately looking for you. It took the rest of them several minutes to understand what had happened.
As soon as Steve found your body, he hugged it, he was trying to make you react in some way, but it wasn't possible anymore. The rest began to approach, Lorna stopped when she was already very close.
"No, no... Y/N... Doll... please open your eyes," he asked between sobs.
“Is Y/N...?”
"Lorna, don't you dare say it, that's not possible," Wanda interrupted her by sizing to the side of her.
Gert turned to see Nico, she shook her head, she knew it wasn't something the Staff of One could do, she tried when Gert died in the fight against Morgan and it didn't work.
"Do something! Steve cried desperately at Nico without letting go of your body.
"I-I'm sorry... I can't revive someone," Nico apologised.
Tumblr media
Steve lost track time that happened since you die, a very fixed idea had appeared in his head, and he had heard what the Runaways had done several years earlier, even remembering the déjà vu feeling.
Bucky walked into the room that you and Steve used to share, during all those days he was trying to cheer up and support her friend, but nothing seemed to work.
"S-Steve, it's about time," Bucky announced, taking his friend off his shoulder.
Steve didn't answer, he let Bucky direct him to the place where your funeral ceremony would be. After that he locked himself back in the room, he waited for him to go out again, walked to Chase's lab, would come out of doubt once and for all. He rang the bell outside the place. Chase immediately opened.
"Cap, do you need something?”
"I wanna talk," Steve replied.
"Sure, come in, I was making some repairs to the Fistigons, I like that they're always ready... you know, in case I need them,” Chase walked over the door to let it go. “What do you want to talk about?”
"I know you travelled back in time to save Gert, I need you to help me, and I have to prevent Y/N... sacrifices.
Chase swallowed, he had no idea how Steve had found it out, and as far as he knew they wouldn't tell anyone how they brought Gert back.
"I don't know what you're talking about.”
"You know, now that I think about it, maybe I dreamed it," Steve left the lab, realizing where Chase had his time machines stored.
He spent the next few hours planning how to get one, he was going to do whatever it took to avoid your fateful end, but he wouldn't go to that moment, but a few days earlier, what he wanted was to prevent you from going on that mission.
"Has anyone seen Steve?” Sam asked. No one knew where he was, Chase immediately realized what was going on, when he went to his lab, and he noticed the machine that was missing.
"Oh no...”
Tumblr media
Steve went into the Compound’s kitchen, you were looking for the piece of cake you kept in the fridge to eat later.
"Steve, did you eat my cake?" You asked him when you saw him come in, seeing that he wasn't responding, you knew he did it. “Why the fuck did you do that?”
"I-I'm sorry, I was hungry.”
You closed the refrigerator door, saw the clock on the wall, you hadn't even heard the Quinjet arrive, you came up to Steve and looked at him carefully; he did not remember that a few days earlier they had a mission.
"You're not Steve. Loki, I don't have time for jokes," you said.
"Y/N, it's me, Steve, seriously...”Steve realized that for the first time he didn't have a plan and didn't know what to do. You were going to call the others who were at the Compound when he stopped you. ”Please listen to me, I can't lose you again.”
 "I beg you pardon?”
"I have something very important to tell you.”
You went to your office where he explained everything, you listened to dumbfounded everything Steve told you.
"Why should I believe you?" You asked.
"Because I've done all this to avoid losing you, they lost Gert and figured to get her back, I just can't imagine a world without you.
“So…I died. I’m dead”
Before Steve could answer anything, Nico came into your office.
“Y/N... Am I interrupting something? Have you returned from the mission yet?”
 "No, is...what happened?”
"I detected some alterations in the Dark Dimension... if that continues Tandy and Ty will come to investigate, last time they argued with Stark," Nico explained.
You and Steve looked at each other, there was no choice but to explain what happened.
"Then the Captain stole one of the machines we used when Gert... how did you know?”
"I heard one of your conversations one day, you guys should understand me, I lost the person I love, and I just want it back.”
Tumblr media
The most difficult part was to convince everyone that you would not go on the mission, Chase had finally explained what would happen to Steve, however, he should avoid having contact with his past self, when they arrived at the same time Steve had travelled, and those versions would be replaced, resulting in a new timeline.
"Steve," you called him. He looked up. “Thanks for saving me.”
"I love you.”
"I love you too.”
Tumblr media
Four months had passed since that mission, a call alerted them, Thanos went for the Infinity stones you had, but it wasn't the only thing, his appearance wreaked great havoc on the Dark Dimension, while Tina, Nico, Tandy, and Tyrone tried to contain everything he wanted to get out of the Loa, the rest was fighting Thanos' army.
Thanos had got all the stones, after snapping his fingers, disappeared. You felt something weird inside you, it was different than when the force inside you wanted to get out of control, the fear took hold of you, were you dying?
"Steve?" You called him, you wanted me to tell you that everything was going to be okay, but when he turned around, there were only ashes.
Steve approached, he was supposed to save you, not to lose you again, he dropped to his knees.
“It wasn’t supposed to end this way”

A Soulmate for Christmas - 2
< Previous
The Mayor had always thrown the most lavish parties in the city. The Christmas Eve Gala was the grandest of them all. Anyone who was deemed important or famous was invited. The venue sparkled and shined with extravagant decorations. Shimmering gowns of ladies whose beauty could rival the stars, handsome men in tuxedos, a multitude of servers to attend to the guests' every need; everything screamed wealth, influence, and power. With everything being of the highest quality, it was no surprise all the food was prepared on-site by the best chefs in all of Paris, including the pastries which her parents were hired to make.
In previous years, Tom was the one who baked, while Sabine or Manon served in the ballroom. Today, however, Papa lay home with a broken leg, Manon was out of the city, and anyone else who could’ve stepped in was unavailable at such late notice. So, it was Sabine who was left to stir up a storm in the hotel's kitchen, while Marinette took the trays of sweets into the ballroom for attendees to enjoy.
The first hour went by splendidly. Neither Adrien nor his fiancée nor Chloe Bourgeois showed up. Marinette was starting to relax as she danced around the room with a tray in hand, offering attendees her Maman’s treats. It all changed when Adrien walked in the room with Kagami Tsurugi on his arm, her mother and Chloe Bourgeois following right after.
Perfect. Her torture had begun.
Marinette moved farther into the room, as far from the trio as possible. Unfortunately, being a waitress, she couldn’t remain in one spot for long. Which meant she had to constantly scan the room to be aware of Adrien's location at any given moment. His and Chloe's. Because even though she didn’t want to risk getting too close to Adrien, she’d take that over running into her high school arch-enemy. Unlike Chloe, at least, he wouldn’t recognize her.
"Excuse me? Mademoiselle?"
She peeled her eyes away from Chloe conversing with Adrien’s fiancée to look at the person calling her and froze.
Those eyes.
Her heart took off in a panicked sprint. She knew those eyes. How did she not realize he was her soulmate before? She stared at his posters for hours at a time, days in a row. His eyes were always gorgeous but… the eyes that watched her now were the ones that haunted her dreams all these years. And that barely-there smile he was giving her was so different from his model one. Mischievous and kind, and somehow familiar.
Butterflies raged in her belly, Marinette turned away and focused on her work. She was there to help Maman, not swoon over her unfaithful soulmate.
"I apologize, but have we met before?" He stepped in front of her, blocking her attempted escape. "I feel like I know you."
This couldn’t be happening. There was no way he recognized her! "I’m afraid, you’re mistaken, Monsieur. I don’t think we’ve met."
"Are you sure?" His hand slowly reached out for hers, the one his mark was on. "May I?"
With a swift move, Marinette slipped a serving tray between them, offering him what was left of an assortment of macarons, at the same time protecting her hand from his touch. "Of course. Which flavour would you like?"
He hesitated for a moment, then smiled. "Which one would you recommend?"
"Coconut. They’re a huge hit tonight. The white ones."
"Thank you." He took the treat and bit into it. "Oh! They are delicious."
"I’m glad you like it. Now, if you excuse me. I must get back work." Marinette gave him the most professional smile she could muster at the moment as she turned around to walk away.
He followed. Like an annoying stray. No wonder his soulmate mark was a black cat. "Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Adrien. May I ask for your name?"
"It’s confidential."
A fleeting look of bewilderment on his face, replaced by an amused sparkle in his eyes, he smirked right after. "Accept my apologies, Mlle ‘Confidential’, but may I ask if you ever visited Milan?"
He wasn’t beating around the bush. This was bad. "Curiosity killed the cat, and you’re one curious kitty, aren’t you, Adrien?"
His eyes widened just a speck, lips stretching in one of the widest grins she had ever seen in her life. "It is you, isn’t it?"
With a look of absolute innocence on her face, she looked away. "I’m sorry? I’m not following."
"Ladybug. I don’t remember your real name but your soulmate mark is a ladybug. I’ve been calling you that. I knew I would recognize you if I ever saw you. Your eyes haven’t changed. You still have those adorable freckles and that sweet smile."
Good thing Marinette and her father had taken up playing poker lately. Otherwise, she wasn't sure she'd be able to look at him with an air of indifference right then. "As I said before, I’m afraid you’re mistaken. My name isn’t Ladybug, and I don’t think we’ve ever met before. Now, if you excuse me, I have work to do."
She walked past him. He followed.
"You called me Kitty after you saw my soulmate mark. A black cat. Right there." He pointed to her right hand. "I can prove it if you’ll allow me to touch it."
She couldn’t let this happen. He didn’t deserve to confirm his suspicions. This had already gone a lot further than Marinette ever intended for it to go. She didn’t have a choice but to cut this short and run. "I’m sorry, I have no idea who you’ve mistaken me for, but I’m not your soulmate. After all, aren’t you engaged?
"Please, let me explain—"
"I’m sure Mlle Tsurugi won’t approve of you talking to other women, M Agreste. Especially me," she snapped. She forced herself to take a breath and a step back. "Congratulations on your impending engagement. Have a good life."
Without giving him a chance to respond, Marinette strode away toward the kitchen. If anyone asked, it was only because her tray was almost empty, not because the hope in her heart was, too.
"Wait!" He rushed after her. "I can explain."
She didn’t want him to. She hurried away, but Adrien kept pace. Just as she was about to exit the ballroom, he caught up and grabbed her right hand. The black cat soulmate mark on the top of it burst with all the colours of a rainbow, glowing the most beautiful way Marinette had ever seen a soulmate mark to glow.
She snatched her hand back before anyone else could notice, hissing at him. "What are you doing?"
"Begging you to let me explain."
"Your engagement is explanation enough," Marinette snapped, throwing open the door to the servers’ area and escaping him once more.
Adrien called after her, but she knew these hallways well enough to lose him. Turning a corner, she slipped into an old storage room and ducked under a desk, hoping he’d just pass by without a second thought.
She was wrong.
"Ladybug?"
She froze in her hiding spot, careful not to make a sound.
"Ladybug, please. I can explain. I promise I’m not—"
"Adrien, what’s going on?" A female voice sounded closer to the door.
"It’s her," he answered breathlessly. "I found her."
"‘Her’ as in?"
"Ladybug! I found my Ladybug! And the first thing she does is yell at me because she thinks I’m engaged to you."
"Please, don’t tell me it’s that waitress that you kept hovering over?" Another female griped. An unfortunately familiar female.
"Oh, shut up, Chloe!" Adrien snarled. "I’m not in the mood for—"
"Calm down, both of you. No need to start a fight," the woman who Marinette guessed was Kagami Tsurugi cut in.
"Like I’m going to fight him over Dupain-Cheng. He can have her, for all I care."
"You know her?" Adrien asked, surprise clear in his voice. "Chloe, please, tell me you know who she is?"
"Of course, I do. We suffered each other’s presence all through lycée."
"Name, Chloe! Tell me her name! Her number? Address? Anything!"
The scowl in Chloe’s voice was palpable. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She lived in the bakery across the street from my old school—"
"Are you kidding me?! She’s been living less than a block away from me all these years?!"
"Just your luck." Kagami chuckled. "All the time and money you wasted on your trips to Milan. I almost feel sorry for you, Adrien."
"You’re so kind, Kagami. Remind me, why are we still friends? "
"Because you needed a fake girlfriend."
"I think it was the other way around."
"Let’s be honest: we both benefited. Some more so than others, but who cares about the details, right?"
Adrien groaned. "I don’t have time for this. Chloe, where can I find her?"
"You remember that online fashion boutique I showed you? The one you ordered that blue scarf and a few of their Chat Noir pieces from?"
"MDC? Waitwas that her?"
"Yes. MDC is short for Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
Adrien pulled out his cellphone. "Good idea. The website should have her contact information."
"Not her personal contacts. Only a business email."
"Damn it, Chloe. I don’t have time for this. Where can I find her now?"
"Most likely in the kitchen," Chloe huffed. "Her parents’ bakery was hired to cater for the party. Tom and Sabine’s."
"Thanks."
By the time the door shut, Marinette could hardly breathe, a single sentence played in her mind over and over and over again,
"Because you needed a fake girlfriend."
 What did she mean by—?
Bang!
Marinette’s heart stopped at the sudden slap of a hand on the desk she was hiding under.
"Dupain-Cheng." Chloe leered down at her with a smile Marinette knew always meant trouble. "We need to talk."

and yes just like i mentioned wattpad in the last one tumblr is coming up on this one we’re breaking the FUCKING fourth wall
part one here
Tumblr media
You passed out on his shoulder, exactly as he predicted, at about 2:00 AM.
He didn’t notice for a few minutes, and once he had, he had to make a very hard decision.
He knew you were leaving in the morning, you had other places to be. And he had to get home, Cliegg was going to be pissed he’d been out this late as it was. But- just like you, he never wanted the night to end.
At 2:15, he shimmied out from under you, finding your room key quickly. Once he’d slipped it into his pocket, he picked you up, carrying you all the way back to your room. The door seemed to scream as it opened, but none of the girls were awake. He laid you onto the only empty bed, leaving your room key on the dresser, and kneeled at your beside, for just a moment.
A night he wasn’t going to forget. One he wasn’t willing to leave behind.
He found the notepad left by the hotel for guests and its nearby pen, scribbling his phone number onto it before smacking it onto your room key so that he knew you’d see it.
He wasn’t taking any chances. He did everything he could to make sure that you were safe, that you’d sleep soundly, that he’d see you again. It was a bit of a walk back to where he’d left his car, at the venue, but it was worth it- he shrugged his jacket up around his neck against the cold and kept going, remembering how it’d felt to hold you.
But, in all of his kindness, he had made one mistake. You didn’t get to say goodbye.
You woke up in the hotel room the next morning, for a moment thinking that maybe you’d dreamed the whole thing. But then you realized you still had your shoes on, and you were laying on top of the sheets, why the hell would I do that, and you phone hadn’t been plugged in, and-
And there was a phone number on the dresser.
You weren’t really ‘dating’- you shouldn’t call it that. If you were going to call it that, then there would inevitably be a post on someone’s tumblr that you had a boyfriend, and who was he, where was he from, yada yada... that damn website already had half the internet convinced you were dating Padme, you didn’t want to add any more fuel to the fire.
So no, you weren’t dating. But you were texting every day. You learned so much about him, about how he was raised by his mom and worked at her friend Watto’s auto shop, about his step-brother and future step-sister-in-law, how his mom died when he was nineteen, about how he’d tried to move to California with his friend Obi-Wan a few years ago, but it fell through. In return, you told him about your life- living in the outskirts of San Francisco, being pushed into ballet lessons as a kid (as he said- ‘that’s why you look weightless on stage!’), being cut out from your family for quitting college to pursue music.
You texted every day and every night, sent him videos from gigs, and he sent dumb little snapchats from underneath whatever car he was working on. You expected that to be it, probably for a long time- neither of you had the money nor the time to see each other more often. So you held onto the connection you had, the night you’d spent together.
And you thought that’d be it. But- the universe has a funny way of surprising you.
Your record label was based in LA, so you lived in Salta Ana, about thirty miles away, where the real estate was way cheaper. The band lived together, close as four friends could be, so they knew all about how you’d fallen for Anakin. Ahsoka would notice you glued to your phone, and ask snarkily “texting skyguy?” to which you always scolded her that his name was Skywalker.
Living so close to LA made it easy to do gigs at any venue that would take you- bars, clubs, a particularly anarchist biker hall. A bar- such was the case for tonight.
Like usual with a gig like this, Aayla had taken to instagram and called any fan in the area, so the bar was mostly filled with people who knew the music, but there were regulars, too. People who couldn’t be damned to listen to the lyrics, and just let the atmosphere move them.
The setlist changed, when you were at a place like this. You didn’t necessarily rely on the hundred voice chorus that you loved so much, and so couldn’t include some of those songs. Your music strayed a little more to the rock end of the spectrum, when you played in places like this. With that high energy came faster music, more running around the stage, more movement, but you weren’t tired, when the set ended at 11:25. You were more energized than usual, in fact.
“Pads, I’ve never heard you solo like that!” You said, a bright smile on your face as you pushed out of the employee entrance of the bar. She gave you thanks, but not a moment later stopped dead, not saying a word, staring at you. You paused, looking at her, then Ahsoka and Aayla, who’d both stopped, too.
“What?” Ahsoka and Aayla, though, were looking at something past you, which made you realize that Padme was, too. You turned, and leaning against the wall was- was Anakin.
“Oh my god,” you said under your breath, dropping into a run toward him immediately. “Anakin!” He shoved himself off of the wall, letting you run into his arms, and just held you. You pulled away to look at him, amazed that after months, here he was, right in front of you, real.
“What are you doing here?” you asked, bewildered, surprised, ecstatic.
“Visiting Obi-Wan,” he said, and he lifted his hand to your face, giving you a good look at that tattoo you hadn’t quite forgotten, dark lines reaching from his elbow to his palm.
“And you,” he added. You couldn’t help it- you hadn’t seen him in so long, you couldn’t help the way you leaned into it when he pulled you into a kiss, and this time you weren’t exhausted, and you could let yourself feel it, you could pay attention to his chapped lips and the way he slid them over yours, still soft, even after waiting in the cold. You never wanted to leave this moment, like so many of the others that you spent with him, his hands on your face keeping away the January air.
“Yeah, I’m heading home,” Ahsoka said, making you break the kiss. “Coming, or not?” You looked back at her with a bit of a glare, letting Anakin’s hands fall to your neck.
“You guys go ahead,” you said, checking your jacket pocket for the essentials- wallet, phone, house keys. “I think I have a tradition to uphold.”
The bar you’d played at tonight was a bit far away from the place you wanted to take Anakin, but you didn’t mind the walk, since it was with him. You’d been texting every day, and yet it felt different, there was so much more to talk about now.
Apparently, Anakin hadn’t seen Obi-Wan since he’d left to move to LA, so it was a visit to an old friend as much as it was an excuse to see you again.
“So you’re staying with him?” You asked, leading him by the arm down the street.
“Yeah,” he said, hooking his elbow into yours, which let him keep his hands in his pockets. “He’s got an apartment in east LA, it’s got a nice couch.”
“East LA, not bad. What’s he do?”
“He’s a talent manager, actually. Went to business school and everything.” Anakin paused, suppressing a chuckle. “He told me that he’d love to represent you, if you didn’t already have someone.”
“Sadly, we do,” you said, playful, “but I’ll keep him in mind.”
You’d pretend it was the winter chill that brought the flush to your cheeks- he’d told his friend about you. That had to mean you were important to him, right?
“Where are we heading, anyway?” He asked, and you, luckily, could channel your inner dramatic and turn toward the doorway you’d been heading toward all along.
“Right here,” you said, and you took him inside.
This was your recording studio- it was always open, so that any artist could stop in and get out whatever creativity they had. You showed your ID card to the lobby clerk, who approved it and called the elevator. Anakin followed your lead until the door closed, and just like you had on the night you met him, you pressed the button for the highest floor.
“This is one of the buildings for our record company,” you said, the elevator so familiar.
“Which would explain why he let you in,” Anakin said, a slight teasing tone to his voice. All you could do was chuckle, waiting for the elevator to reach the top floor.
From there, you lead him to a glass door, and swiped your ID card through a reader near its frame so you could step outside.
“This is the rooftop set,” you said, gesturing to the wide space, “It’s where we film a lot of music videos.” This close to the door, it was hard to see over the side of the building, and so you took Anakin’s hand.
“The city lights keep us from stargazing,” you said with a smile, and brought him to the guardrail at the edge of the roof. “So I thought I’d show you the city’s version of the night sky.” Looking out across the city, there were a thousand orange sparkles, windows illuminated in buildings stretching as far as the eye could see. Criss-crossed between them were lines of red and white, LA traffic clogging the city streets even so late at night.
No matter how many times you came up here, you’d never get tired of the view. Fifty-five stories up, there were other buildings that dwarfed this tower, but the west was free of them, so your view to the horizon was clear, even in the LA overcast.
“Wow,” he said, looking out over it all beside you. “I’ve never- I don’t think I’ve ever been up this high.” You fixed him with a surprised expression, leaning your elbows down onto the banister.
“No? Really?”
“I didn’t grow up in a city, like you,” he said, settling in beside you, his arm pressed to yours. You let your head rest onto his shoulder, remembering the night you met.
“I’m glad you came out to LA,” you said, “though I’m hoping you’ll stay a while. I  want to go on an actual date with you.” You heard him exhale.
“You don’t call this a date?” he asked, and you lifted your head, looking at him, the lights of the city giving his face the slightest, golden glow.
“Well, I mean-” If this was a date, then so had been the one after the show, back in October. Which meant this was your second date, and you’d technically been ‘dating’ this whole time, which kinda made him your- boyfriend?
“Is it?” Anakin slipped his hand into yours, lacing your fingers together.
“This is better than any dinner and movie we could’ve gone to, I think.” He turned over your hand, tracing his first finger over the skyline tattoo that bisected your forearm. “Especially since it seems like this means a lot to you.” You couldn’t believe he’d noticed that tattoo- it meant he really was paying attention to you.
“Yeah,” you said with a smile, lifting your arm up, his hand still held in yours, aligning the tattoo with the skyline you were looking at. “I got this done after we did our first video.” Silently, he examined the ink and compared it to the sky, seeing what you meant.
“That’s really cool,” he said, bringing your hand back down, since his fingers were getting cold in the wind, and he had to assume yours were too.
“How long are you going to be in town?” You asked, resting your temple down onto his shoulder again.
“A week, or so. Watto says he needs me to work on a mustang that we’re getting- I think Cliegg told him to say that since he doesn’t want me in the city.”
“Well, I don’t want to undermine your dad,” you said, “But I wouldn’t complain if you stayed here a lot longer than that.” You ran your thumb over the back of his hand. “It’s really nice to actually have you with me, and not over the phone.” Anakin turned to kiss the top of your head.
“Tell me about it. It’s worse for me, I promise- I listen to your music all the time, and it just makes me want to see you.”
“Sometimes I forget that you were once just a fan,” you said with a laugh, “listening to our music.”
“The luckiest one in the world,” Anakin added, and you almost wondered how you’d ever lived without him.
You let a moment pass, in silence.
“I’m twenty five,” you started, wondering if you had the courage to finish, “do you think I’m too young to be in love?” Anakin didn’t respond, at first. He turned to you, lifting his furthest hand to your face, making you look up at him. You could never get over those blue eyes- you’d forgotten how intense they were.
“I guess it depends on the guy,” Anakin said, his teeth quickly catching his lower lip. “Do you think you are?” You reached up past his arm to his face, your first finger tracing his eyebrow before your palm came to rest on the ridge of his cheekbone.
“No,” you said, and you rushed forward to meet his lips.

April Fools - Park Jimin
summary: jimin writes a letter after receiving a call from his ex telling him that he loves him, on April Fool's Day.
words: 1.9k
this one shot is also posted on my wattpad account, however, the original is in Spanish. I don't speak English fluently, so this may have some mistakes; my intention with this is to try to learn a little and entertain you.
Tumblr media
April Fool's Day.
The sunset glowed darkly, the sun descending in a zigzag cusp with the buildings blocking it from me. Naturally, everything always ended up leaving me, although this time it was metaphorical. So I looked at the clock, listening louder to its hands moving until it struck six in the evening than to the laughter of the people passing by on the sidewalk and their voices saying things I didn't understand the tone in an invisible bustle, but could imagine; people making jokes, telling anecdotes or just talking among friends.
I wonder at what point in my life I will have one of those, because they all eventually left too, and they lasted less than the sunset fading into the sky like a river of warm colors.
Do you remember that day? When we also faded into each other. When we were the ones who ran in the streets laughing without caring about people, when we were the ones who stopped on the sidewalks and just talked non-stop. Do you remember what we were? We were here, on the terrace of my room, watching the stars jealous of the beautiful way you could shine even brighter than them without trying. Do you remember how it felt? I couldn't forget.
Yet I'm just a fool who has ruined everything, because I can't be a normal person. I made you go. I made you walk away from me. And now I'm here, pretending you can hear me, but you don't. And even if you could, you shouldn't. I ruined what we had because I can't live up to expectations. Funny, even though I know it was my fault you left, I'm still here thinking about you like we had a chance.
You deserve better. Something so much better than me.
Who am I, really? Why would you have been with me in the first place?
The sound of a call on my phone suddenly rang out, too, though at that moment it too could sound even quieter than the noise of the street. It was strange. For a second something burst in my chest; I didn't usually get calls, or messages, though maybe it could have been my mother asking me if I've done the dishes yet.
—Hello, Jimin? —then I heard your voice.
I hadn't heard you for so long. About a month or two, which were a torture that you took it upon yourself to make more painful. Because that's what you were doing at the time, listening on the other end of the line the way you were collecting yourself around my agony and loneliness, and you were there asking how I slept yesterday, waving as if I deserved to hear from you again after letting you down before and letting out that shaky sigh that made my skin bristle.
It hurts. You used to make the pain go away, then you started to provoke it.
I had to hang up on you, because my heart couldn't take so much after hearing you speak before my chest hurt and my eyes burned. I can't lie to you, I miss you, like I have since day one, but I couldn't help it, you will always be the most precious thing I will have ever had even for a few moments of this life.
You called me again and again. Again and again. Over and over again. I didn't understand. You did it on purpose, didn't you? You knew I was going to come down?
—Don't play games with me like that —I cried once I answered the call. I tried not to let my voice break, but my mind was my worst enemy, reminding me of the good times we had, how good you made me feel. Damn. Yeah, it's so fucking weird being alone now, but I don't know if you know about it.
—Jimin... —Oh, your shaky whisper, it sounded even frighteningly beautiful. I want to believe I know how you feel: so do I, however, I also believed that one day you loved me, and it was you who ended it.
—It was so good —I lied. If I heard a little more of your voice calling my name I was going to cry yours until it was just ashy moans of my love for you. Why are you looking for me now? Why do you want to hurt me?
—You are a good person Jimin —you said. Sometimes we just have to understand that some people don't deserve us.
I wondered for a moment what you were referring to, but it was more than obvious, of course. Even if I wanted to deny it at times, it was impossible not to know that the only reason I could no longer breathe peace in these gray walls or in the cool air after a warm sunset was because I didn't deserve it. I could never deserve it.
—Please stop —My voice came out to you, like the cry of clouds shining among soft invisible stars within a sky the color of the sea where I could drown; I wonder if you would know the way my heart was pounding when your breath hit the microphone. Why are you calling? Why are you still here?
Your soft laughter shuddered down the avenue. It was so convenient; that's how you are. The streets lit up, though nothing shone like you, and for a second I could hear myself crying in the darkness of my balcony empty of you and happiness, even above the bustle of freedom outside that naturally gave me a headache.
—I'm not still here, Jimin.
And yet, it felt like you were lying. Your hands kept caressing my shoulders and your scentless breath would sneak between my ears, then you'd smile over me to love me as if I deserved it. We remember those nights here locked in bubbles empty of realities, and we felt ourselves vibrating on speakers as if we were bliss. We remembered the way we connected, and then forgot what it was really like.
I could, for a second, hear again your "I love you's" floating in me like cold butterflies, yet it doesn't feel the same way real love could. Of all the words we said so much to each other, the only ones that were real were always mine.
But it was okay; I get what I deserve, and real love with you couldn't be further from reality.
—I know —I closed my eyes, feeling the beauty of the night as if it could protect me, but in reality it did not. Of all the promises we made, not one has been kept. I also know.
—Jimin, I love you.
—D-do I? —I muttered.
I would never have questioned before whether you loved me or not, yet now that I've realized I'm not worthy of love, now that you've gone away from me, I couldn't believe you even if I wanted to.
Why, what have I done wrong? I don't know. The only thing I am sure of is that I do love you, but I could never again allow you to falsely return it.
I love you, so even if you could truly love someone like me in some lifetime, I would not let you..... You said it yourself, why should we stay with people we know we don't deserve? For better, or for worse.
—Yes. I love you.
—Then why did you leave? —I whisper. The hum of pain crushing my chest you could hear on the other end of the line, surely.
I wanted to tell you what I thought of your love,
And you kept talking. You did. I wanted to tell you, "Hey, stop, please, you have to stop talking because I'm falling in love with you all over again," but I couldn't, the lump in my throat grew stronger and the breeze made me feel cold. I had to set boundaries, because I was falling again.
That was what you wanted.
It was always what you wanted.
—It was you who ended it, so why are you calling me?
Still, you spoke as a whole. I heard your words, the worried way you listened in my ear like a melody of pain. I don't understand what you want. Acting innocent, you just make me sick, though I'm not entirely sure about that. Because, the more I listen to you over and over again as if you might feel something towards me, the more I feel deluded. Could you really love me, why would you be bothering me again.
—You can't stay in the past —you said. Your voice suddenly sounded so hoarse. The leaves on the trees rustled loudly as an icy breeze blew through, they clattered against each other. I think a night storm was coming. I suddenly wondered how similar you and a storm could be, they can both appear at any time and destroy whatever they want, can't they?
I don't know at what point we got to that point in the conversation when you said again:
—I love you, I love you. Forgive me, please.
I wanted to tell you to stop, to stop, but I couldn't. I didn't want your voice to come back. I didn't want your voice to disappear again because it makes me feel livid, floating in the world with loving agony. Honestly, I didn't care how much pain you were capable of causing me, because, I wasn't like that, but you're still inside my heart and I've become a fool.
I am a fool.
—You make me lose my mind, why do you want to see me now? —I asked, when I heard you say an address and remind me of the moments in it. This is strange, I should be alone again. You are better off like this, without me, why now?
—Because I've thought it all over, I'm so sorry, really, come back to me.
My heart shook inside me. It was you who ended it, but now you want to come back. It's okay, you have control over me in anything, you rise above me and it doesn't matter. It really doesn't. I'm used to that. Besides, deep down, I'm nothing without you.
—Why do you want this? I don't deserve you, I don't... you deserve better than me, you shouldn't come back to me.
—I know.
I had to hang up on you. Your voice was still ringing in my ear and I couldn't stop my world from spinning. I thought of the sweet smell of your skin, the silkiness of your hair, your eyes looking at me and your lips on mine again. I missed you so much, and even though I didn't want you to have to live with the burden of being next to me when I was barely capable of deserving you any less than you do, I had to dial your number again.
—Yes, okay, I love you, I love you with all my life. Please, yes, please, please, it doesn't matter, I'm going to give you even my little self-love to deserve you, I promise.
Then, I heard your soft laughter like a calm wave on the ocean. I wish I hadn't minded, but actually, I did, what was so funny?
—Oh, that was harder than I thought, you ask a lot of questions, but congratulations, I thought you were only going to last a few minutes and we've been here talking for an hour now.
In the background, I thought more people were passing by on the street because I heard more laughter altogether, but actually, it was coming from my phone.
—Happy April Fool's Day!
April Fool's Day.
I remember that day, but it was no longer as happy as when we made jokes together, but passionately sad when I sobbed.
I'm a fool, because I still sighed feeling sweet to hear you laugh. It doesn't matter, it really doesn't matter.
—I love you... happy day to you.
—Happy April Fool's Day —you seemed to want to correct me.
—No, happy day still.
