So, I've had this strange and, maybe, cool idea that I would like to share with you!
Reader, who made their way up to the Galar Championsip, they are known for their strange connection to Pokémon, and for never talking, or showing their face. People know very little about them, and rarely see them, but on one day, the finally day, the truth unfolds!
When they step onto the field, surrounded by cameras, they throw off their cloak only to show that all this time, the Pokémon Trainer was not in fact human, but also a Pokémon! Bisharp, to be exact.
The shock, the news! The unexpected twist!
Hope that you'll like it! Take your time, I can wait, writing is a very tiring progress✨
"Leon! How do you feel about the mystery challenger you endorsed being moments away from battling you?"
"Have they ever spoken a word to you, Leon?"
"Who do you think they could be? Someone outside this region? An old rival looking for revenge?"
"I haven't got a clue who they are just yet, but if I know one thing...it's that this battle is going to be amazing! I can just feel it!" The Galarian Champion grinned with pride, standing amidst a swarm of reporters who wanted to question him before he prepared for the final match.
At last, the day arrived.
One that many anticipated.
Because today Leon will be facing a particularly unique challenger:
You, somebody who mysteriously showed up in Galar one day and kept their identity hidden beneath a covert cloak. Nobody knew what you actually looked like, and it was even harder to know what you sounded like....as you've never spoken to anyone.
Not even to Leon, although you made your wishes to enter the gym challenge very clear when you approached him, handing him a card with a simple request:
Endorse Me --B
"B" was the only name he knew you by, and nothing else. But he understood that you probably didn't like talking too much, similar to Allister. So he obliged, permitting you to wear the cloak as you were rather insistent on doing so.
Who would have though you'd conquer the Championship by storm and were now minutes away from battling him for the title?
You've truly wowed the crowd as you defeated the gym leaders with flying colors. And all you ever did was point at them and let your Pokémon finish the job--all without uttering a single command.
You even took down Raihan's Gigantamaxed-Duraludon in just a single turn!
It's like you shared a psychic connection with them, although you've ducked out of the way of reporters and fanatics who were just obsessed with you, refusing to be swarmed.
Still, your aura of mystery, strong bonds, and intelligent Pokémon quickly became the talk of the town. And it made Leon all the more thrilled to battle you, hoping he'll get to learn more about you that way.
So when the news crew started getting word that you arrived in Wyndon for the final match, he took that as his cue to get ready.
He was so excited, he almost got lost on his way to the locker room.
.........
Stepping out onto the field, you were immediately greeted by cameras hovering on all sides, mounted by Aegislash.
Every angle was determined to capture you in your star moment...as you were about to battle Galar's current champion.
But even with all of this attention on you, you didn't wave or acknowledge the cameras one bit. Your focus was only on the purple-haired man who was waiting for you in the center.
For a second or two, Leon was thrown-off by the uproarious cheers coming from the crowd after you appeared. Usually he was being rooted for the most, although it's clear that people were psyched to see you battle him.
You've been one of Galar's greatest mysteries since your arrival, and still nobody knew who you were or how you became so strong.
Stopping in front of him, you looked into his eyes, only giving a small nod of acknowledgement.
"Well this is it, B. The moment everyone's been waiting for." He grinned. "Are you ready for.......oh, guess they are.." His face fell flat as you simply turned and headed back to your position on the field.
Now he was just dying to find out who you truly are.
Who really stood under that cloak?
For now, though, all that mattered was this battle that would determine if he'd successfully defend his title as Champion...or if you were somehow going to come out on top.
Standing back at his position, Leon patted both side of his face, taking a few deep breaths. Then he tossed his heavy cape to the wind, which was hastily collected by a staff member before he struck his signature pose for all to see.
The crowd's cheers have grown tenfold, chanting his name as they mimicked the iconic gesture.
You grunted in interest, impressed how that simple action got everyone so riled up and excited. And it made you wonder...
Looking to your cloak, you gripped it with metal fingers that were barely visible to the cameras. For a moment or two you stood there debating, wondering if....
No.
You're done dodging people and hiding from the public eye.
You've kept up this mystery long enough.
It's about time everyone here knew who you really were.
"What's this? Is our mystery challenger about to reveal their identity??" An announcer cried out. "It's the moment we've all been waiting for, ladies and gentlemen!!!"
With another grunt, you finally threw off your cloak, letting it fall to the ground beside you, eyes closed as you anticipated everybody's judgement.
Most of the crowd descended into silence; even Leon, Hop, and the other gym leaders couldn't believe what they were seeing right before their very eyes.
After all this time, they thought they were battling a strong human Pokémon Trainer.
But no.
Instead it was a Pokémon itself.
"What a twist! I can't believe it! It seems that our mysterious competitor is none other than the Pokémon Bisharp! Somehow it has risen through the ranks of the championship without the assistance of a trainer! It's incredible! This has NEVER happened in the history of Pokémon battling!!"
Soon the crowd went WILD.
Many wondered how it was even legal for a Pokémon to enter a human competition; a few others--especially those watching from home--were convinced you were just a person in a Bisharp costume.
But the cameras surrounding you didn't lie.
You were a real Bisharp, and you were determined to become the first ever Pokémon to win a championship.
"Shar.." With a smirk, you raised your hands up to the cameras, giving them a small wave. You were relieved that your secret was finally out; it gave you a massive confidence boost after seeing how all the humans reacted.
As you then sharpened your bladed arms and readied your first pokeball, you gazed at Leon from across the way. His jaw was dropped in shock, unable to believe who he was battling.
It was quite amusing to you.
Of course, many knew Bisharps were strategic commanders of Pawniards....but nobody would have guessed they'd be intelligent enough to lead a competitive team of different Pokémon outside their lineage.
Well, you're the shining example that it was possible.
After sending out your Pokémon, you huffed, wondering when your opponent was going to snap out of it and start taking this battle seriously.
But he quickly realized you were waiting, and seemed flustered.
"Sorry. I just...wow....I can't believe you were.....ah, what does it matter?" Shaking his head, he grinned as he finally sent out his first Pokémon, ready to defend his title. "We're gonna have a champion time regardless. So give me everything you got, Bisharp!"

HELLO!!
I hope everythings well right now! Take your time on this request no pressure no pressure! ✨
May i request raihan. piers and leon seperate (leon is optional if it crosses the rules!) following reader (who's account is kind of private) on tiktok or whatever social media and they're met with like pretty pictures or videos of them?
Yeah. Sure. Everything is going good now. I kind of been busy with my 6 hour classes. I also want to thank my friend for making the edit for the Piers section. The edit is linked in that section and it is on YouTube. I didn’t do Leon because I feel like he wouldn’t use social media that much.
Pretty Pictures
Tumblr media
Raihan
Raihan was scrolling through his Instagram when he found a picture of a masked Pokémon gym leader
So, he got curious and went to the page that was tagged and only saw pictures of the gym leader wearing their mask
Then he saw that they had their private Instagram link in their Linktree
He requested to follow the account and went back to scrolling through Instagram while he waited
He checked his notifications the next day and saw that the account had followed him and accepted his follow request
As soon as he was ready, he checked out the profile
When he saw your face he was blushing immediately
He thought you were the most beautiful person he’s ever seen
While he was looking through the pictures he accidentally liked an older photo of you and he panicked and unliked it because he didn’t want to come off as a weirdo
That’s when he received a DM from you joking about how what happened
He felt embarrassed until you told him that you were flattered and thought it was a little funny how quick it happened
He confessed that he was just scrolling through your page and thought that you were beautiful and accidentally hit like on that older photo
You sent 🤣 and said that you had done the same thing on one of his older posts because you thought he was stunning
After a while of DMing back and forth you two exchanged phone numbers promising not to leak them and to delete the messages after adding the phone number to your contacts list just in case either of your accounts got hacked
After about a month of texting you two finally meet up since you flew to Galar for a Gym Leader conference that was happening
You were wearing your mask throughout the conference except for when you were hanging out with the other Gym Leaders from your area and Raihan
Raihan promised that he would never post any pictures of you without your mask on
It was at that moment that a beautiful friendship was born
Tumblr media
Piers
Piers was scrolling through TikTok, but he was on the app back when it was called Musical.ly
He was going through the the hashtag called PiersEdit and saw an edit that you had made
The edit was to the song The Feels by TWICE
After watching it he click on your profile picture and started watching your videos
The newest ones were edits of the Galar Gym Leaders
Once he finished watching those he sees a video with your face in it and watches it
It a video of you sewing a plush of his Obstagoon and the caption said “If I ever get to meet Piers I might give him this if he wants it.”
He knows you probably got notifications of him liking your video and he commented “I am more than willing to have that adorable plush from such a beautiful person.”
Then the likes exploded and some people were questioning if if you and Piers were in a secret relationship
He just continues to watch your TikToks and sees you’ve made the other Galar Gym Leaders Pokemon and all the videos included your beautiful face
A month later he was meeting fans after one of his concerts and he spots a familiar plush
He walks up to you and taps you on your shoulder “Hey beautiful.”
You turn around and quickly give him the plush and ran off
He hopes to see you again since you put your phone number on the tag

And now, time for some oc writing!! Specifically, a self-contained piece for my SwSh oc Rex. I think of this as a sort of brief, non-chronological "timeline" piece for him, showing out-of-context snapshots to sort of give a sense of his main drive in the Legendkeepers story. Hopefully you'll all enjoy, this is my first time doing a format like this but I hope it isn't too confusing!
Context: Rex is my oc who follows the Shield storyline, becoming a champion of Galar and exploring the story and events in the Crown Tundra afterwards. His best friend, Ritsu, is a "Faller" who went missing when they were children, and never came back. This follows Rex and how he handles this disappearance as he gets older.
•••
Rex was eleven years old when he first heard the news that his best friend was reported missing. He was worried, of course. He loved his friend dearly. But, in the way you do when you're eleven, he also felt a sureness of how the world worked in a way that didn't always turn out the way it by all rights should have.
"Yeah, mum and dad have been losing their minds over it. You'd think the world was ending over here, never mind how Ritsu’s parents have been handling things," Rex said rather blithely to Hop, his neighbor and longtime friend. Ritsu's longtime friend. Hop, perched on the stone wall next to Rex, tilted his head at him, confused.
"They said Ritsu's gone though, right? That sounds awful serious to me," he countered, concern lacing his expression. Hop, by this point, had gathered the nature of the situation well before Rex did. Rex shrugged, swinging his feet aimlessly, heels battering the old stone wall beneath him.
"I dunno. I mean, it can't be that bad. His parents are always making a fuss if Ritsu misses so much as snack time, and you know he's aces at building super secret bases. He prolly just made a new one and didn't tell them," Rex explained, hopping off the wall with a muted 'oof'.
"Hey, maybe next time we go visit, we should ask him if we can sleep over in it! I bet it's so cool no one would ever wanna leave, and that's why no one's seen him yet!" He added excitedly. Hop nodded, eyes brightening, the enthusiasm infectious.
"Yeah, that'd be awesome!"
•••
Rex was ten years old when his parents were ready to let him take on his first Pokemon. Rex had been eagerly waiting for the day. Bursting with excitement when they told him the good news. But he asked, as politely as he'd ever asked anything, that he wait a year before getting one.
"Rex, dear, this is all you've ever talked about for so long! I don't mind, but why the change of heart?" His mother inquired, surprised.
"I was thinking I want to wait until Ritsu can get his, so we can get ours together and they can be bestest buds just like we are!" Rex beamed. His parents exchanged fond, if somewhat anxious glances.
"I don't have a problem with it," his dad chimed in.
"But... Ritsu may not even want a pokemon. You know how he gets around them," he added carefully, watching his son for his response. Rex, unphased, shook his head.
"It'll be fine! He'd feel loads better if he had one looking out for him, I know he would! And so'd his parents! I bet if they quit nagging him so much they'd all learn pokemon can be really cool too!"
"Rex! That's no way to speak about them!" His mother scolded him with a huff. Rex merely gave a cheeky shrug.
"It's true though!"
•••
Rex was fifteen years old when he decided to take on the gym challenge. His parents protested his decision, but he didn't care. He was tired of them getting on his case all the time anymore. Always the same thing, nag nag nag. Ever since Ritsu had disappeared, both his mum and dad had gone insane about keeping track of Rex, holding him accountable at all times. Rex was fed up with it.
"Ready to go, Miki?" He whispered to his Charmander, sitting on the bedroom sill next to him. Miki wagged her tail, the embers flickering in a mesmerizing fashion in the early dawn light.
"Char!" She squeaked eagerly. Rex shushed her, brushing a fingertip down her nose gently as a tactile reminder. He grinned down at the charmander in her little red bow.
"Alright. Let's go then, before we wake mum and dad," he murmured, gesturing with a free arm. Miki took the cue, hopping onto his shoulders, clinging for all she was worth. Rex took a final look down the wall, and - judging it clear - hauled himself down the side, keeping a solid hold on the windowsill now above him. He felt around for good footholds, inching his way down. Normally he'd have no qualms about just dropping right down into the bush below, full force. But he had to be quiet.
Miki whimpered slightly as Rex slid a little, missing what he thought had been a good ledge. She clung tighter as he fumbled around, adjusting his handholds once he felt his legs were stable. Rex took another look down. Should be good enough, right?
"Hold on, Miki," he whispered, and with a push he launched himself off the wall, landing on his feet below just in front of the bush. The momentum carried him into a kneel, and he rammed his knees down into the grass with a pained grunt. Oh, he'd be feeling that one later. But that was later, and this was now. And right now, he had to go meet with Hop.
"Whew.... Alright," Rex muttered to himself, shaking off the lingering pain from his graceless landing.
"Let's go!"
It would be several hours before his parents discovered what happened. Rex would be long gone for Wedgehurst by then, and fresh off of what would be his first of many legendary encounters.
•••
Rex was sixteen years old as he stared down death for the first real time. As he placed himself between Leon and Hop, the latter crying for the former to wake up, pull himself together, Death stared down at the scene before it with a blank apathy. Rex glowered up at the unfeeling hand just waiting to scoop them all up within its chilling grasp. He didn't care what it thought it was, it was out of line!
The creature - Eternatus, presumably - thundered a hollow, alien cry, and Rex readied his pokeballs. It'd have to kill him and his team before it could get to Hop and Leon.
•••
Rex was still sixteen years old as he tackled the chairman to the floor of the power plant. He'd never cared much for the man and his glib manner of speaking, but it had never been personal. Before now, that is.
Now? He wanted nothing more dearly than to make the older man pay for what he did. For endangering his pokemon. For endangering Leon. For endangering Hop, and nearly putting him through another loss. For nearly putting Rex through another loss.
Well. Rex almost wanted nothing more dearly than to make the older man pay.
Rex was sixteen years old as the other adults hauled him off of the beaten and battered chairman, voices blending together into a thick stew of concern and shock, worry and admonishment.
Rex was sixteen years old as he was escorted from the Hammerlocke gym, into a throng of cameras and microphones pushing and shoving greedily towards him, ready to feed.
Rex was sixteen years old as articles scrutinizing him flew off the press and as news reporters used his name as they would that of a storm in the daily weather report.
Rex was sixteen years old, a hero of Galar. A public figure.
Rex was sixteen years old when he became the Champion.
Rex was sixteen years old.
•••
Rex was twelve years old, nearly thirteen, when he attended his best friend's funeral. He didn't understand why. Ritsu was still missing. Not dead.
According to the adults, it was because there were no leads, no sign of Ritsu anywhere at any point, and so they had to assume the worst. Well, then the adults hadn't looked hard enough! That wasn't Ritsu's fault if they were bollocks at searches. They shouldn't have been giving up on him just for that.
Rex stood amid a mass of black, holding his baby charmander close to his chest. That shouldn't be out, someone had scolded, put it back in its pokeball.
No, Rex had said, standing firm. Miki has just as much right to be here as anyone. She wasn't hurting anything.
The adults continued to shoot him looks for the orange bundle in his black-clad arms. He let them.
Miki had been there for him through all of this. She didn't deserve to be cooped up in some ball just because the others thought she was lesser.
At least Hop understood. Over half of the times that Rex had looked up to see a disapproving glare sent his way, he also saw Hop giving them a hard stare of his own, inching himself in the middle of the line of sight. Rex would give an appreciative smile and Hop would hit him with a small grin of his own.
"You don't have to handle this alone", it seemed to say.
•••
Rex was sixteen years old as he stood next to his best friend Hop, in the midst of a panicked evacuation from the Darkest Day heralding the end of the world.
“Aaaagh, shit. How are we going to find Leon in this mess?” Hop bounced on the balls of his feet anxiously, trying to crane his neck to see past the people flooding out of the building.
“Stay calm. If there’s one thing I’ve learned researching about Ritsu, it’s-”
“Oh, drop it about Ritsu for one damned second!” Hop swore. Rex faltered, startled. Around them, alarms blared and a cacophony of voices swarmed in all directions around them.
Rex stared back at Hop, brows furrowed in a question he was too speechless to ask. Hop waved his arm in a sweeping motion towards everything.
“Now’s not the time! Just look at this! We have to focus on the now, on saving my brother!”
Rex found himself protesting without fully meaning to.
“Well, yeah, obviously. I wasn’t saying otherwise. I was jus-”
“No, I know! But it’s not the same! It’s not! The same!” Hop interrupted, voice raising.
 “My bro’s still alive! Ritsu’s dead! He’s been dead, and I’ve let it go all this time that you keep blithering on about bringing him back or whatever, but now’s not the time!”
Rex fell still. Hop glared him down for a moment before it was clear no one was going to make a move otherwise.
“Ugh, screw this! I’m going to go find Leon! Or the chairman. Or. Something!” Hop scoffed, whirling on his heel and running off into the amorphous cloud of people.
Rex hesitated.
He had to go help too.
His feet felt welded to the floor.
Rex was sixteen years old as he stood, lost and alone in a crowd of people fleeing the end of the world.
•••
Rex was sixteen, going on seventeen years old, as the wind blustered around him, stealing his heat from his bones. He paid it little mind, all attention trained on the pokemon before him, its absurdly large head bobbing around in front of him. Chief Peony likewise bobbed in the air, suspended with telekinesis Rex had wagered, expression almost peaceful as words were spoken through him.
"I am Calyrex. I am the one known as the King of Bountiful Harvests. I have borrowed this man's body in order to thank you in person...so to speak."
The wind was surely stealing Peony's heat away. He hoped the chief could hold out a little longer.
•••
“Hold out just a little bit longer, Ritsu.”
Rex was eleven years old, nearly twelve, as he muttered this into his palm. He sat sullenly in his room, staring out the window, grounded for the third time that month for trying to take a train - and then ultimately, a plane - to Hoenn all by himself.
He was tired of waiting for the adults to get off their arses and find his friend! It was obvious he needed to take matters into his own hands! Not that his parents listened to a word he’d say. What would they know?
Dejectedly, he flipped through the pages of a worn comic book issue with one hand, disinterested in the panels and words he’d read over a dozen times by now. Only one speech bubble happened to catch his eye by chance as the pages scattered past, a shout bubble belonging to a desperate hero.
“Hold out a little bit longer.”
It was a phrase used often enough, especially in his favorite comics. Seriously enough. Ritsu was fine, Rex knew he was. But it felt appropriate, somehow, to apply it to the situation.
Hold out a little bit longer.
Rex was eleven years old, nearly twelve, when a knock on the door distracted him from a troubling line of thinking.
•••
“Hold on there, Rex,” Rex’s mum had laughed gaily, keying the number into the rotom phone. Rex, twelve years old, sat shoulder to shoulder with Hop, bouncing his knee in impatience as the egg before him glowed gently.
“But dad’s going to miss it!” Rex whined.
“He’ll still get to meet the baby pokemon that’s come out of it,” Leon reassured over the speaker. Rex had insisted everyone be present, even if it meant Hop called his brother while Rex’s mum tried - and failed - to reach his dad.
“It’s supposed to be a charmander, right?” Hop asked his brother.
“Could be.”
Rex startled from his pout, and his head whipped to the phone in Hop’s lap.
“You said it was an egg from your charizard, guaranteed!”
“I mean, who can really tell with eggs?” Leon laughed. Rex had just about wound up a retort when a telltale crack sound snapped in front of him. All eyes trained on the source.
The egg was hatching.
Everyone watched, spellbound, as the egg broke open in a blaze of light. A little orange lizard sprawled out from the broken shell, stretching with a tiny squeak of effort, before large aquamarine eyes turned up curiously towards Rex.
“Hullo there,” Rex whispered, leaning closer to the tiny charmander.
“Want to be my friend?”
•••
Rex was twenty five years old as he stood, uncertainly, in Eterna forest, an aged flute clutched in both hands. Beside him, Miki, his charizard and most faithful companion, leaned down to huff at the instrument. Rex chuckled, and stroked at her muzzle soothingly.
“Yeah, I hear ya. ‘S now or never, huh?”
At his other side, Calyrex nodded sagely.
“It’s time, Rex,” they confirmed. Rex took a deep breath in. And out. Then, holding the time flute up to his lips, he began to play.
The trio heard a noise akin to if glitter were a sound, and a delighted laugh chimed across the forest. Rex opened his eyes to see Celebi, hovering in front of him expectantly.
“Calyrex?” Rex prompted, still nervous. Calyrex nodded.
“Celebi is ready,” they affirmed. Rex nodded, a smile starting to spread across his lips as it sank in.
He’d done it.
He’d finally be bringing Ritsu home.
Rex was twenty-five years old as he looked Celebi in the eye and said,
“Let’s do it, then. Take me back to Hisui.”

Applin Of My Eye Ch1 The Apple Shaped Heart Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree (plus story summary)
Part 5 of the Galar Soulmate Series spin off of Love Doesn't Do Encores/A Champion Time For The Heart and side parody of Dragon's Treasure/Diamond In The Rough (This story will be much shorter than the others but I didn't want to leave out the last guy. This will also be the final installment of the Galar Soulmate Series.) Everything was fine now. Eternatus was defeated. The bad guys caught. No more things to worry about...Or at least for Y/n. A small encounter with a certain farmer has made him realize that he never apologized for bowling her over with a wooloo. So when the woman who helped save Galar shows up on his doorstep with an injured wooloo he may realize that maybe he had some secret feelings he never expressed to her in the beginning.
Tumblr media
(Before we begin keep in mind that I do not know the actual name of Milo's little brother so his name is only cannon for this story, and his backstory is also not cannon and just for the story.)
It was a funny thing how crushes often worked you see.
You couldn't really control when cupid would shoot you with his arsenal of arrows through your heart and piercing your brain with that fuzzy feeling that made you all warm inside. However he felt as if he might've been hit with a whole sledgehammer. He still remembered the first time he saw her there. Last year pretty early in the year too actually. It was when he was getting his wooloo ready for the Gym Challenge but unfortunately one of the little rascals had slipped out and started running all over the gym with him chasing right after. Eventually it was able to escape right out of the gym and rolled faster than a tumble weed in a tornado out of his gym and right up the dirt road leading right out of town. Well he went chasing right after it one hand holding his sun hat. To his horror the pokemon was heading right towards two women walking their way down the dirt road chatting oblivious to the danger. Unfortunately speed was never his strong point, he was more of a strength guy himself.
Gloria smiled and pointed to it as the two of you walked down hill on the path. "Look! See? I told ya it was a good idea to take the short cut."
You looked down at her deadpanned, the baaing becoming louder the farther you two walked. "Uh huh. And those people chasing us in the beginning was part of the 'good idea'?"
You two didn't see the thing coming towards you from down the path or the man giving chase to it. "Oh come on! It wasn't that bad. We got here faster and now we can rest up and see 'bout that gym.
"Oh yes. And battling someone inside a mine is a good idea too-"
"Nonono! Miss! Watch out-''
Something hard rammed into your legs and they went flying back, sending your front shooting forward and in an instant you faceplanted the dirt road hard. A resounding 'THUMP!' sound echoing out as whatever rammed into you just as suddenly disappeared. It was like a your legs were pins and you just got ran over by a bowling ball. Stunned your body just sat there face first on the ground with your sobble thrown from your shoulder a couple feet away. You didn't move even as a gasp reached your ears, along with baaing and running footsteps. Your sobble chirping in annoyance upon being flung sat itself up and shook itself off, but scurried away and burried itself under your limp noodle of an arm when someone bigger nearly ran it over. Still you laid there stunned.
"OH NO! OH NO!!" A man's worried voice reached your ears just as your brain finally started to register you had been knocked over. "I AM SO SORRY!! MISS!? ARE YOU ALRIGHT!?"
"Y/N!!" Gloria shouted and you felt her shake you frantically. "NO! This can't be how you die! Bowled over by a wooloo isn't a good way to die so please get up!!"
....You coughed. And groaned. Your vision blurry as your now dirty face slowly lifted itself from the ground and looked up. Blinking at the two faces before you. Gloria who was obviously concerned, but the other was a man one hand clutching a hat on his head as he looked you over with worry. "What was-"
"I am SO sorry, Ma'am!" The man you assumed kneeled down letting you get a better look at his freckled face. "My...Are you ok!? You took that tackle head on!"
"What happened?," you mumbled and your answer was being easily lifted by the man by strong hands grabbing your shoulders.
"One of my wooloo! I'm so very, very sorry! She keeps running away everytime someone leaves a door open and I need her for the gym so I keep having to chase her down and bring her back!," the man quickly stated holding you up on wobbly legs as you shook your head as your poor sobble refused to let go of your arm. Hanging onto it like a koala bear would. Hands dusted you off. "Oh no. You're all a mess because of me. I hope you're not hurt, Ma'am."
You waved him off. "It's fine. Wouldn't be the first time I had to deal with troublesome wooloo," you grumbled remembering the Slumbering Weild incident. "I feel fine. Just a few dirt stains aren't gonna hurt."
The man sighed in relief. "Oh thank goodness. I was really worried when you fell so suddenly." His face quickly snapped with a frown to the wooloo who baaed at him. "And you! What did I tell you about running off like that!? This time you did hurt someone!" It baaed louder at him. "Don't you talk back to me! You're in big trouble young lady!......Hm?" He looked to Gloria who was currently staring at him in surprise before he suddenly smiled at her. "Oh. You must be one of the Gym Challengers, right?"
"I- W-Who me!?" She sputtered before nodding quickly. "Y-Yes, Sir! I am!"
"Ah! I thought so." His polite smile widened. "I saw you at the Opening Ceremony earlier this week! My name's Milo. It's nice to meet you."
"I know! AH! I mean!" Gloria sputtered holding up her hands. "I s-saw you too with everyone else! I'm so sorry!"
held up his hands. "Oh no. If anything I should be the one apologizing to you and your friend here for the trouble I put you through."
"Milo?," you asked confused gaining his attention.
He nodded. "I'm a Gym leader here and partial to Grass Type pokemon. And if I'm not mistaken your friend here is one of the ones Leon keeps going on about. I've been itching to see just how good the Champion endorsed Gym Challengers are..." he sighed moving his hands to his hips. "But I'm afraid you might have to wait your turn."
"Huh?" Gloria blinked.
"I know usually my gym's the first one trainers pass by on their trip, but I didn't expect so so many to come here right after the ceremony. I've been completely swamped and I still have three trainers waiting for their turns with me right now. And it doesn't help this one keeps running off the first chance she gets."
You mean I gotta wait until you have more time off just to fight me?" She groaned with a pout. "Maybe we should've taken the train to get here faster after all."
"Hey. The man's busy" You patted her back with a frown. "And obviously he's having a hard time right now. You said we had what?....A whole year until those finals come up? It hasn't even been a whole week yet. We can wait a lil bit longer and let Mr. Milo here sort himself out."
Milo gave you a surprised look and Gloria sighed before nodding. "You're right. We're here and that's the most important thing! I can wait a few more days if I have too."
You smiled. "That's the spirit!"
Even Milo eventually smiled. "Well then. Let me find out at the Gym Stadium when you're ready." He pointed behind him. "Just head on down this route and you'll run right into my stadium. See you there!" He then turned to the wooloo. "Come on now. Back to the stadium with you too. We can't keep the Gym Challengers waiting." It baaed at him in protest but didn't give too much of a fight when it started to follow him as he turned and gave one wave back to you two. "Again sorry for the trouble! Hope to see you soon!"
With a sigh you brought your arm up and your sobble blinked at you...before grabbing your cheek with a questioning chirp. "I'm fine. Just a little sore."
He thought that would've been it. You see he wasn't expecting to see her again. He thought he saw her the next day when he battled her friend in the stadium, but that was that. He lost, congratulated the young girl who looked about the same age as his little brother and off she went. He thought that would be it until he saw the next challenger. But he was surprised when night fell and he stepped out for a few moments to himself.
The night was peaceful. The night was quiet. It was one of the times he could actually get a bit of breathing room to himself and he always gave one last look around anyways. The wooloo were all snug back in their barn. The gym was cleaned up and closed. And most of the farm's chores were already done. All that was left was to do one last look around before bed. The night was pretty. The sun had just started going down over the horizon leaving sn assortment of yellows and oranges and pinks to be chased away by a dark blanket of black filled with millions of tiny stars. It was beautiful among the silent fields. Although he was never expecting to run into another person. Quite literally. He was just walking around the side of his barn when he almost ran face first into a woman. A woman with a sobble clinging to her shoulder. The sudden face to face encounter had her jumping back with a yelp jumping back and the sobble terrified ducking behind her head with a chirp. He himself took a step or two back from the sight as the two of them just...blinked at one another for a good second. Who was-
"Milo?," The woman asked with a blink. "What are you doing out here?"
He blinked. Why did she look familiar? "I...I own this farm? And who are you?"
"I'm Y/n." He still stared. "Your wooloo bowled me over the other day."
It all clicked in an instant. "Oh! You're that woman!" He remembered now. "What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?"
"Camping." She gestured behind her towards the back fields and when looked over her, he noticed there was two tents set up right in the middle of one of his fields. "My friends and I are camping out here before we leave tomorrow morning, but we had no idea this place belonged to you. I heard someone walking around out here so I came to check it out." It was then she held up her hands and apologized. "But we don't want to cause any trouble. If it's a bother, I'll have them move our tents somewhere else. I'm sorry."
"Oh no. It's no trouble at all," he insisted with a smile. "As long as you all don't litter, I don't mind at all. "
"Oh. That's actually really nice of you. Thank you so much. That battle you had with Gloria today was great!"
He paused all of a sudden caught off guard by what she had said. "Pardon me?"
She smiled at him. "I said your battle with Gloria was really fun to watch. You put up a good fight out there today. No wonder you're a gym leader!"
And in that moment he paused. She was complimenting him? HIM?! He had to look around real quick to make sure that there wasn't anyone else there for her to speak too even though he knew there really. He then looked back to her with that perplexed took. By now the small sobble had timidly poked his head from behind hers.
He pointed at himself. "You mean me?"
"Of course I mean you! You're the only gym leader in Turrffield. Who else would I be talking to?" She rose a brow.
"Oh. I-I meant no offense, Ma'am. It's just...well I'm not used to compliments actually." A hand reached up as an embarrassed smile graced his features. "I don't get a whole lot of them outside my friends and little brother."
"Really? I'm surprised. You put up such a good fight against Gloria." Ah. That must be her friend's name. The young girl who he battled today in fact. "You're also the first official gym leader I've met so far."
He blinked in surprise. "Really?"
She nodded. "You see. I'm uh... Visiting Galar. It's my first time ever being in this region. So today was my first time ever seeing a live gym battle and you're the first ever gym leader I've spoken too....Ever actually."
"Huh? You mean you've literally never met another gym leader before me? Like ever?"
"Nope! First time ever today. Or night as it happens to be now." ...She smiled again. "But I'm glad it was you. You're really kind, I could tell by how you treated your Pokemon during the battle." She then turned and waved a hand good bye. "Well it was nice meeting you Mr. Milo. Sorry again for the trespassing. Have a good night."
"Uh...Good night."
That was it. He didn't see the strange woman again when he went to inspect the fields the next morning. The tents and people were gone, if he didn't find the small holes in the ground from the tent spikes, he would've believed he'd just dreamt up the whole thing. Oh well. She was kind though! It made him happy to be complimented for once but he soon forgotten about the whole thing when he just got on with his life. A lot of wool was harvested from him wooloo and so many crops were harvested from the fields this year! In fact this might've been the most plentiful harvest Turrffield has ever had.
His little brother was making his way through the gym challenge as well! He was so proud of him! He really grew from a bud to a giant blossom this year. He was so proud watching Felix battle his way through the gym leaders one after another and make his way through the gym challenge. He always knew Felix was a much more stronger and capable trainer than he ever was. He'd grown so much than he'd ever could, one day when he was older he'd make an even better gym leader! If Ma and Pa could see him now, they'd think the same thing he was sure of it! So it came to no surprise when months passed and he saw Felix again sometime in August. The biggest smile on his face when he busted through the door of their home, almost scaring Milo into dropping the giant sake of potatoes he was handling,  and with a confident smile presented his full badge circle with all eight badges.
"Milo! I'm competing in the semifinals this year!"
He  was then given the biggest hug and welcome Milo could ever give. His own little brother was going to be in the semifinals this December.  And it was then that he saw her again. When he and his brother traveled down to Wyndon city near Christmas time. Felix was getting ready to battle the other three finalists and he was patiently waiting for it all to start from the V.I.P lounge with most of the other gym leaders. But they couldn't until Leon showed back up, which was sooner than he expected when the door opened and the smiling Champion came walking in-
With one mighty push, Leon pushed the door open and walked right in. "Hey, Everyone." He called back into the room. "Sorry I'm late!"
"Leon. Don't tell me you got lost again! I thought one of us were gonna have to rescue you like last time.," came a woman's voice that sounded familiar from the inside, "I swear sometimes you're more confusing than a spinda."
You both slowly shuffled in as Leon chuckled a bit embarrassed. "C'mon, Nessa. That's a bit harsh." Shaking his head he smiled behind him as you brought up the rear. "I got a bit distracted on the way here and invited some friends over."
You stepped in and blinked at what you saw. The room you were all in was almost as big as Gloria's hotel room but less fancy. Warm thankfully, with some couches, a table with a few chairs, a big flat screen TV, and over in one corner was some kitchen stuff. By kitchen stuff there was a counter with a few cabinets, a sink, full sized fridge, microwave, and a coffee maker. And within the room around you was all ten gym leaders!! Ms. Opal was sitting at the table with a cup of presumed tea with Kabu who seemed to be meditating or asleep by the way he was just sitting there eyes closed and arms crossed. Gordie had been standing by the fridge leaning against the wall, but looked up from his drink when the door opened. Melony standing with him. Nessa sitting on the couch next to Bea, and across from them on the other couch was Raihan glancing at you with a surprised look with Alister sitting next to him on the opposite side of the couch. Milo was the closest one standing to you all looking to have been in the middle of eating some kind of doughnut in his hand when you walked in, and last but not least there was Piers. He had been the only one visibly standing and looking out the window as the stadium was filling up with people, but had side glanced over his shoulder just seeing Leon before turning back to the window before he could see you walk in behind him. Disinterested in whoever Leon brought with him. Oh if only he knew. And...HEY! It was the three trainers of Raihans. Sebastian, Camilla, and Aria. The triplets were encircled around the fridge most likely getting something to eat also.
Good morning," Victor greeted politely and a bit more confidently than you as he waved. "It's really nice to meet all of you."
You were going to say hi as well. Most probably to Nessa since you've spoken to her before or maybe Ms. Opal and ask how Bede was doing. Or....maybe Raihan if you were feeling a bit more brave. But it was one soft voice that interrupted all thoughts.
"Y-Y/n."
A lot of everyone around you (you included-) looked surprised as ALLISTER of all people spoke out and you watched in surprise as he slowly scooted himself off the couch until his feet hit the floor. With a turn of his head towards you he slowly walked towards you...and you smiled. 'y/n. Milo instantly paused, His emerald green eyes going wide all of sudden, and the doughnut he was holding nearly dropped. And his brows instantly shot up upon seeing YOU of all people standing there next to Leon.....YOU!? HERE!? WHAT WERE YOU DOING BACK HERE?! WITH LEON!? HUH-
"Hey, Allister." You greeted and to everyone's surprise you instantly lowered yourself to sit on your knees finally placing Silver down to your side to be eye to eye with Allister. This seemed to make him more comfortable to talk with you as he slowly walked up to you now being closer to his height. "Wow. You look great! Did you grow taller from the last time I saw you?"
He instantly nodded his hands into fists in front of his chest. "Uh huh. L-Leon s-s-said I grew three inches this year!"
You gave a small gasp. "No! That's so cool! You're growing up fast. Soon you're going to be even taller than him."
"Y-You think so?"
You nodded again smiling wide. "Oh yeah. A big strong person like you? I bet you'll be the tallest person I know!"
That seemed to make him happy as he smiled from behind his mask at you before reaching around to his pokeballs. You watched patiently as he fumbled before holding up a pokeball. "I-I made a new f-f-f-friend! W-Would you like to meet him?"
Still smiling you nodded. "I would love to meet your friend, Allister." You gestured to Silver next to you who chirped when you acknowledged him. "I want you to meet my friend too. Allister this is Silver. He's been with me for a while now. Say hello, Sil."
In response Silver have off some kind of noise towards Allister who stared for a moment. "H-Hello..." Before turning back excitedly to you. "H-Here! Y-You're gonna really like him!" You knew that you would either way. Everyone was now staring at you two in surprise. Even Kabu had opened his eyes to peer over at what was going on. A flash of bright light from Allister gave way to something white, floating, and very pretty. And you smiled wider realizing what exactly what it was. Floating there by Allister in all it's white glory, was a Froslass. "I m-m-met him w-w-when it snowed by the stadium. He really likes playing hide and s-seek with us."
"Ooh. He's absolutely beautiful." You turned to the pokemon, and as if he was another human, you greeted him. "How do you do? It's very nice to meet you, Sir."
The pokemon blinked at you seeming to be taken a back a bit but made some noises while smiling proudly at itself. Allister slowly pointed at him. "H-He s-says you're v-very polite and i-it's n-nice to see s-s-someone recognize h-h-his looks."
You chuckled. "Well thank you! I'm glad he thinks so." Slowly you stood back up to stretch your legs still smiling. "I'm glad to see you're making new friends to play with. Are you here to watch the semifinals too?"
Allister nodded again before pointing over to the couch. "B-Bea's going to take me to the h-h-haunted houses in the c-c-city for Christmas."
You glanced from him to her and smiled. "Well doesn't that sound great!" You waved to her. "Hi. I don't think we've met. Or seen each other really."
Bea seemed to still be staring at you totally bewildered but it was nessa who spoke up next. "Oh yeah. I remember you." More surprised glances were sent between her and you as she gestured towards you. "You were Sonia's friend with the sobble! Er.." She glanced between you and Silver who shook off snowflakes. "Well, it looks like he's not too much of a sobble anymore."
You gave couple laughs before reaching over to pat Silver's head. "Nope. My lil guy's practically all grown up now. Takes a lot of love and care and food, but Silver's worth it." You waved a hand to her. "But it's good to see you too Nessa. Hope things been well. My friend showed me your new line in the ads." You added remembering Gloria showing you a magazine with an article of her. "I really like the 'Sea Emerald Delight' dress."
She smiled your way before turning her gaze to Raihan who blinked at her. "I told you. Green dresses will look good on anyone all year round." the Dragon Gym leader rolled his eyes in response and stood up.
You also shook your head...but paused feelings eyes on you. And it wasn't just the others around the room. Your head turned over towards the windows and you paused seeing Milo staring right back at you cheeks stuffed with a doughnut , brows raised at you. You both stared at one another for a moment before you went back to smiling, crossed your arms, and rose a brow back.
"Hello there Milo! It's nice to see you again too!" Finally a familiar friendly face besides Lee. "You're here to cheer on your brother right? I believe he's going to be competing against my friends."
He still stared at you as you smiled back patiently before swallowing down the food in his mouth and forcing a smile. "Y-Yeah! Felix is going to be fighting out there an-and I don't want to miss it when it happens."
Ah." You nodded. "I'd expect nothing less from you all. It's real sweet of you to be here to support him!" You smiled wider. That just makes you a good big brother! I knew you were sweet !"
He nearly choked on his doughnut as his face blossomed a bright pink.
You chuckled and you would've said something back if a voice didn't startle you. "Nice to see you too.~" You jumped with a yelp and backed away from the taller guy that walked up to you two. Raihan smiled that fanged grin of his as you blinked at him. "You didn't even say hi to me.~ I'm wounded.~" His gaze shifted from Milo to you as you blinked. "Hey there, Sassy.~ Wasn't expecting you to come rolling up here with Lee! You have a knack for hanging out with famous people?"
You blinked a moment before raising a brow. "Not really. Leon just offered to be nice and I didn't want my water type out in the freezing weather."
"Aw. And here I thought you came all the way to see me.~" He faked sadness making you roll your eyes. Milo glancing between you both. "Y'know if you're free sometime that dinner date's still up for the taking!"
"No thanks."
You never really gave it a thought? Really?" Raihan asked blinking surprised for a moment as you shook your head no before he smiled and leaned down closer to you making you lean back. "Well that's a first I've heard. Usually I'm something people can't get off their minds.~ You've certainly been on my mind for a while.~"
.......You reached for a nearby magazine. "Uh huh. I'm ....flattered I guess but dude. You might as well be flirting with a rock."
Behind you all Nessa gave a small snort which Bea slapped her shoulder. "Aw. I guess you're right. But you are cute.~" He gave that smirk that could've made anyone swoon. You raised your magazine. "You're like a short cute firecracker making my heart explo-HMPH!?"
Milo yelped when you all of a sudden you grabbed his arm and pulled him in front of you. With you now half hiding behind him now, you brandished your rolled up magazine like a sword....A harmless sword but something to ward him off non the less. Raiham blinked having been bonked harmlessly by you. You scowled using your Milo-Shield and Magazine-Sword to swing at him a couple times. Piers blinked wide eyed at you not sure what was going on. The doughnut all but forgotten about, what was left of the poor food dropping to the floor as his face blossomed an even thicker red.
"Bad Gym Leader! Down!,'' you firmly said scowling swinging at him, "Go to h0rny jail!"
"Wha- Jail??" He asked but held up his arms from your harmless magazine attack. "H-Hey! I was joking, Sassy! Seize fire there!"
"Silver help!!"
Raihan's eyes suddenly went wide before snapping his head when he heard a loud chirp and stumbled back when Silver eye narrowed starting walking towards you. "Hold it hold it hold it!!" Raihan held up his hands to Silver and ended up having to literally jump over the couch he was previously sitting on and stood in front of the lady gym leaders to avoid Silver who now stood between you and Milo and the couch. He narrowed his eyes at Raihan and gave a loud chirp. "Geez. You weren't kidding when you said he was protective."
Piers ended up giving a loud bout of rare laughter at the sight of the display and Leon was able to pry her off of him to let him recover from the sudden jolt. If he wasn't so flustered by the sudden action. Oh well. They parted ways and he soon forgot about it when the semifinals actually started. Felix sadly lost first round but that was ok. He was proud of him and he came farther than so many other people in the gym challenge. He didn't really think he'd see her again after that but again he was sadly mistaken when Christmas came around. It was that wonderful time of year when the spirits were high and the laughter was everywhere. And after all what better way to spend time with his little brother on Christmas than to take him to the Festival? Milo wasn't expecting to see her yet again but here he was, just waiting for his little brother to get off a ride when she just walked right up to him.
The park was actually beautiful this time of year. A slightly frosty patch mostly cleared went through the quiet parts of the park lit up by the faint lights of the festival and a perfect full moon above you. It was starting to snow again now, not too much, only enough for it to look really pretty and fluffy falling from the otherwise clear skies. The smells of the parks pine trees filled the air with the faint scents of foods from the festival, giving it a balanced mixture of nature and dinner time. The snow on the ground shined reflecting the moon light from the darkened sky making it look like a forest of glitter against the cold.
He shivered from the cold, rubbing his hands together from the cold and sinking further into his coat. It was always chilly out this season. He'd be glad when he was able to get back to their hotel room. It would just be after the parade after all. The gym leader was so wrapped up in his own worlds he didn't notice the woman walk up to him or the footsteps crunching through the snow until they were right next to him.
"Hey."
"Gah!" He practically jumped out of his skin and whirled around to the woman next to him who blinked and held a few objects in her hands. "Wha-...Oh. I -Its you. *Sigh* Please don't do that."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you...Again. That's just another thing I need to apologize to you for while I'm here."
"Huh?"
Her answer was to just hold up the objects in her hands. Which was two small bags and a cardboard cup holder holding two cups of hot chocolate, he could tell from how they smelt. "Seeing you the other day made me realize that I didn't apologize for all the inconveniences I gave you. So I'm sorry we trespassed on your farm. And I'm sorry for scaring you..Twice. And I'm sorry for using you to get away from Raihan. And I'm also sorry for making you drop your food. Here." You held out the food at him. "I got you and your little brother some replacement food as an apology gift." He opened stared at her, before looking at the food, then back to her, then opening his mouth- "Take it. My drizzlie would only eat it if I took it with me. And I have no place for it anyways."
....He slowly took the objects handed over to him with an unsure expression on his face...before giving a small smile. "I-...Thank you. Wow. Doughnuts and hot coco. Heh. Not a bad Christmas gift."
"Oh. That reminds me. I do have something for you." He again looked surprised when she dug into her coat pocket and pulled out two small metal keychains shaped like wooloo. They shined in the light as she held them out with a smile. "Here. Merry Christmas."
He could only stare at them. "A...gift? For me?"
"And your little brother. I got all my friends some and I figured you'd guys like one too."
...He took a moment longer to stare at them more before shifting the food into one arm to reach a free hand over to take them from her. A... Christmas gift? For him? But...he never got any Christmas gifts except from his few friends and little brother. He certainly didn't have that many fans so all the unexpected kindness was...So sudden. But...not unpleasant. In fact..the gesture struck something in his which made his heart pick up a beat and his face turned a darker pink than his hair.
"Well I'll see you later. Good luck in the Champion Cup tomorrow,  Milo. Merry Christmas."
And then she turned and left, leaving him to look on after her red faced as her eyes glittered in the Christmas lights, the snow gathering prettily on her f/c hair, and the most beautiful smile he'd ever seen on her face.
BU-BUMP!!
He nearly crushed the cups of coco as he felt his heart place a beat and his face burnt.
"O-O sweet wooloo knitted sweaters."

Headcanon because depression just hit me like a truck, and I'm in desperate need of comfort rn:
Suddenly, and often without warning, the trauma hits Ash like an Extreme Speed attack, and he just ceases. All ability to function just stops. He goes numb, eyes dull and lifeless as tears occasionally spill and trickle down his cheeks.
Raihan knew what he signed up for when he became romantically involved with Ash. Whenever these episodes occur, no matter how long they last, Raihan would simply drop whatever he was doing previously, pull Ash into his arms, and hold him tight.
No words are shared. There is no need or room for words. But all the while, Raihan is hoping (read: praying) that sooner, rather than later, the bubbly, energetic, feral Ash he knows will return from the dark clouds that have taken over his boyfriend.
YES!!! Holy fuck this is a HC.
Raihan is more than willing to drop everything or as much as he can in that moment to help Ash. Sometimes this leads to Raihan sprawled across the couch with Ash tucked securely in his arms as he’s on a call with other league officials. No one’s going to say no to The Ash Ketchum, let alone his lover who he protects so fiercely.
Adding on:
Raihan’s protection is more media based, to protect Ash for not being in the media presence. There have been dozens of times he had thrown his weight around outside of Galar and his fan base. Though he picks different reason’s why publicly. Galar as a whole will protect him no matter what, even his hater’s would take his side over anyone else just because of their country pride ways. Let alone the other league members of other regions that genuinely like Raihan for his personality and not just his paparazzi ready smile and icy blue eyes. Ash helped boost his image in front of much higher league officials. Champions from far off regions he’s never heard of and now constantly in touch with.
Genuine friends that weren’t made from working side by side in forced acknowledgement for years. Ruled over by fucking Rose the entire time and some even controlled as puppets. It does things to people and Ash was his saving grace from falling into a bitter, bitter life. His precious little legend. He’d do anything to protect the life Ash gave him the moment he fell into Raihan’s lap. Not even his colleges were safe, Leon still quivers when Raihan smiles with a little to much teeth now. Rose and Oleana tried once and they had almost the entire International League come down as a whole. The first time everyone had seen each region agree upon was that they were out of line.
Despite being Rose’s only child he was openly against the man from the start, openly gave his opinion to every foreign leader his father wished he could meet. Nothing would or could stop him. Ash was an absolute instigator the entire time. Not once has he stopped Raihan and even prompted the man to speak out. It had rewarded him in the end when a good chunk of people had actually apologized to Riahan that he had to be that mans son. It had most likely solidified his position as the Champions most favored lover of Ash’s. Settling him permanently at Ash’s side-despite the fact they weren’t even official dating to each other. They saw people on the side but not as often as they did at the start. It petered out to once or twice a month. To occupied in each other even from a distanced but unwilling to do anything about it.
Like the dumb fucks they were.
But now? Now he has a black little velvet box sitting in an old beaten and slightly bent pokeball, Pikachu’s decommissioned one after broken in an a freak accident with some God Ash won’t tell him about. Moss agate stone plated in gold, flashy because Ash wanted it to be. And then it’ll be one custom made by Steven Stone and Lance. A traditional wedding band for men and a more sleek design. Designated to show that it was official, they were each other’s and no one else’s.
Ash is also very protective of Raihan, more so than equal to the gym leader. So fiercely protective in the swing on this motherfucker and I’ll make you beg in front of Arceus way. Ash wouldn’t kill unless pushed to the absolute limit or either protecting a vast majority of people before it’s to late. Blood on his hands is what he’s trying to avoid in this world but it’s a necessary. But when it comes to Raihan? The only person Ash has never had to explain any aches or pain, never asked about a new mark or unless in passing. That doesn’t mean Raihan never worshipped him. Nearly does every night and he cherishes it in every form of love that he can show. Which also means he’s going to rip into some fuckers that even dare breath wrong in Raihan’s direction. Anyone was fair game and it was quickly established that the Champions were not running Raihan out of his love life. Arceus, Raihan was his.
There was rarely another person, only when he got to pent up from the stress and aura usage. Ash almost found the act enjoyable in some cases. He doesn’t know what raihan knows whats going on when he’s out and about. If he keeps tabs on Ash through social media or not. It wouldn’t surprise him and was more then welcomed. From what he’s seen on the news played during breakfast Raihan has a pretty tight grip about Ash’s overall arching online presence. Backed by the other leagues own need for safety reasons when it comes to Ash he was well protected.
Though is defeats the fact that Ash doesn’t necessarily care. He’s okay with being on scream and in pictures and videos. Which leaves to a lot of Ash’s failed attempts to do parkour in public, even to this day, on the web.
But back to Ash being the scary Houndoom to Raihan’s sly Liepard.
Raihan is literally the only person Ash has a “touch them and your dead” outlook on everyone. No one’s safe and he’s very good at keeping that under wraps.

SwSh HC's I've had in the Vault for the past few years (removing various minor OCs)
Full Names
Leon Hart Eudios
Hop Astralis Eudios
Soren “Skyler” Griffin Eudios (The boys' dad)
Amelia Katharine Paganous (The boys' mom) (she use to be the major league flying type gym leader of Hammerlocke! :D)
Raihan Vouivre (Wyvern) Laburn (Laburn from a friend on the Champion Time Server)
Nessa Locke (hehhe loch ness monster joke)
Oleana Delila (I don't recall from where)
Malcolm Rose (I don't recall from where)
General Hcs (straight from my notes)
Raihan’s been all over the world, travelling seven regions before settling on Galar because its close to home and because he made the most amount of friends there
The process in which a new Champion is chosen if the current one dies or retires is complicated. They have to have a list of at least four trainers who they would recommend for the Champion position in such cases ready, and then those selected trainers would have to battle with the Gym Leaders and Elite Four (assuming that the people on the list isn’t a Leader or Elite)
Mustard’s successor was a Poison, Ice, and Psychic type specialist who hailed from Galar’s Tundra
Leon wrote down Sonia and Raihan as who would be the ones to take his crown should anything tragic befall him, but he also has Mustard on that list just in case
Ages: 12 (Allister), 14 (Hop), 15 (Marnie, Bede), 17 (Bea, Avery, Klara, Hyde), 20 (Sonia, Leon, Milo), 21 (Raihan, Piers, Nessa), 22 (Gordie)
Had the roles been reversed a bit, Sonia would've been Galar's Champion
That's due to Sonia being a potential Sword to Leon's potential Shield, the wolves choose people who were always set to be on even playing fields in terms of combat capabilities. But if there was ever a point where that balance is tipped over to the favour of one, then the synergy between the Sword & Shield together in combat would be disastrous
Kabu's Team when he was a lad: Pelliper, Relicanth, Vileplum, Dusclops, Altaria, Manectric, Linoone, Mightyena, Magcargo, Camperupt, Shiny Ninetales, and Blaziken
A lot of trainers generally have monotype teams due to the easier training, food, and care requirements
Marnie had a surprisingly normal Gym Challenge, outside of telling off Team Yell every now and then, she was pretty much just Vibin’
Isle Of Armor Hc's
Leon & Sonia both got a Kubfu but Sonia gave up too soon and Leon got lost
Sonia would’ve chosen the Tower of Water and Leon would’ve chosen the Tower of Darkness
Sonia thought that since she’s friends with Nessa and thus familiar with water types, it would’ve been easier on her to go through the Water Tower
Leon thought the Tower of Darkness sounded tougher, but after getting a bit too lost he decided that either would work but he would’ve preferred the Tower of Darkness
Raihan started his battle practice with Sandstorms in the Isle, which continued to happen once he found a place that would regularly have and be accustomed to Sandstorms (ex: the Desert in Hoenn)
Despite that, he caught his Tyranitar in Kalos and brought it along for his journey through Unova
Klara and Avery are siblings who hail from one of the settlements on the Tundra. To try and bring more fame and attention to their precious home, Klara tried to become a popstar and Avery tried to become a famous Psychic alongside some distant relatives
They quickly switched to try and become Gym Leaders once those goals prove to be too difficult, but after finding a more than worthy challenger in the MC & Co.
The Master Dojo is actually a multi-story building but also an extremely wide one, not as wide as most would except but wider than they think
When not used to be a trail for the one who has the Isle’s Sacred Armour, its a regular training building
But if one requests it, they can have the special training activated for them and a few others for a session
Mustard did use to be the Stow-On-Side Gym Leader, but that was years before Bea’s time so she doesn’t even know it until she visits the Isle for training
Hyde’s a teenager, he’s just really short
He half-assedly participated in the Gym Challenge and got his ass kicked by her in the Cup
Honey is still part of her old Company, but as a distant investor and consultant
Mustard only allows himself to go all out on Four trainers: Leon, Honey, Sonia, and Opal
Sonia doesn’t know that she’s one of them because Self-Esteem Issues
He adds Marnie, Bede, and Hop to this list once he sees their potential
He also adds Raihan when that boy finally becomes Leon’s official Rival, Piers when he finally finds confidence in his battling skill, and Nessa
Leon, surprisingly, didn’t get lost in the Isle except for the one time when he was going to the Tower with Kubfu, but that was due the raging Sandstorms
Sonia also had a Kubfu, but due to storm she gave up and returned it, no objections
Leon & Sonia’s starters are actually from Mustard, but due to someone pulling some strings, they got them as their first Pokemon
Leon’s capable of hand-to-hand combat, Sonia’s an expert on disarming someone with a weapon
Despite this, Leon’s a Shield and Sonia’s a Sword
They returned their Kubfu to Mustard because they felt like they failed
In another timeline, Mustard would give those two to the next Sword and Shield, to— Hop
In another timeline, Mustard would give those two to the next Sword and Shield, to— Victor
In another timeline, Mustard would give those two to the next Sword and Shield, to— Gloria
Mustard wasn’t the Champion Leon had to battle to be crowned, but Mustard knew that if Leon could match him— and eventually beat him— that that boy could become Galar’s Champion
Mustard’s lost partner Pokemon is not known by the press of current times, only Opal truly knows what it was. As does Honey. Some guess it was an Eevee, many more suggest an Eeveelution
The only way Sharpedo don't go after you while in the water is either to use a boat or have several water type Pokemon out and around for your own safety
Don't use red boats though, they confuse it for prey. Leon and Piers learned the hard way
Nessa refuses to train any of the Psyduck line because back in the Isle as a challenger, she saw one sneeze in a cave and released a bit shockwave that punted her to a wall and knocked her out
Honey terrifies everyone of the young Adult Crew (Piers, Leon, Sonia, Raihan, Nessa, Milo, and Gordie) as much as they adore her
Crown Tundra Hcs
Malcom was the one who always looked out for both of them, him and Peony, when they were kids so Peony could have a childhood
This, in turn, made Malcom a lot more serious and ‘mature’ at a younger age while Peony is a bit too naive as an adult
The Mayor of the settlement is Klara and Avery’s grandfather, who raised them alongside the settlement after he took them in after their parents died
Avery and Klara practically inhaled and ate up every piece of information they could find on the King, because he could make their home better, right? He could make it so their friends don’t have to leave with their parents to the big city, right?
Calyrex watched Klara and Avery grow up, the two kids being it only source of power for years, but then they left, not long after giving up on believing it’s ‘fairy tale’
That doesn’t stop the two siblings from trying to restore the faith in the lost King, especially after hear two kids younger than they speak vividly and furiously about myths and legends and gods

With the second Champion Challenge rotation of the year starting, I can temporarily say goodbye to teaching my students. Many of them will be taking on the Champion Challenge, fighting for the top spot. So, I wanted to give my support for everyone.
To the attending Gym Leaders: Remember that you’re supposed to be an obstacle to leap over, not a door mat. I know it can be hard seeing our competing trainers’ reactions to losing, but this is the only way they can learn. And if they drop out of the Gym Challenge because they can’t handle a loss, then that is their decision and theirs alone - you are not to blame. But this also means that you’re supposed to be defeated, so don’t beat yourself up for losing. I know our pride can get in the way sometimes, but make sure you know how to cope - for your own sake.
To all the trainers competing this rotation: Remember to follow the rules, they are there for safety and equality reasons. Do not abuse our staff, including the Gym Leaders and Champion - they are simply doing their jobs. Remember that this can be dangerous, and to keep yourself aware of your surroundings in battle. And if you lose; keep your head up, dust yourself off, and keep growing. Stay safe, and good luck.
To anyone not competing & not part of The League: Remember to support and cheer for your fellow trainers. I wish luck to the retail & hospitality workers, who I know will have a much larger load to manage with competing trainers constantly hopping in and out. And make sure to take care of yourselves too, you’re just as important during these times. Puff your chest out, and get ready for the workload that the next three months will bring.
In the meantime, I’ll simply post here with fun little home updates. Maybe even some posts regarding my battle studies. If anyone has any questions, requests for tidbit information, or just wanna say something: Pelipper Mail is open.
May this Champion Challenge hearten Galar’s pride & strength.

Best Pokémon Rival Tournament- Contestant Bio: Avery
Tumblr media
Name: Avery
Generation: 8
Games: Shield (DLC)
Starter/Signature Pokémon: Slowbro/Slowking (Galarian)
Here we come to not only the first DLC rival, but also the first of only two version exclusive rivals- Avery! This rather unique looking fellow is the latest in a long line of psychics to inherit the position of Psychic type gym leader in the Galar league.
Avery has something of an inferiority complex though, among his family he's considered a disappointment for not having more impressive psychic powers other than telekinesis. Because of this pressure, he developed quite a proud personality, and this puts him at odds with the player, who he sees as a threat.
Despite this, he does seek to better himself to prepare for becoming the Psychic gym leader by seeking out training under Mustard, eventually softening as a person and becoming more friendly. With the player keeping him on his toes, he's finally ready to take on the position and becomes the next Psychic gym leader.
Only Shield players got to have this rival, but perhaps his unique look has charmed you?

Galarian Adventure Chapter 1
Alina laughed with Hop, wide smiles on their faces as they reached their destination. The duo did a spin together then did Leon's signature pose at the same time.
Laughter made them turn around, Leon, Layla, Alisha and N catching up with them.
"You promised us a present!"Alins reminds, looking eager to see what it was.
"It's a pokemon, I can just feel it!"Hop grinned, Layla chuckling.
"Alright you two, I'll show you!" Leon threw three pokeballs forward, three pokemon popping out and splitting apart.
A white and orange bunny ran around the little battle field, a wide smile on his face. N smiled as he looked towards one of the other pokemon
A little water critter leapt into the small pond nearby, popping it's head out and shooting a small jet of water which sent Zorua running to hide behind Alisha.
A grass monkey leapt into view on a branch, taking the small stick and gently hitting the berry in front of it.
"WOW"Alina giggled beaming at them. Water suddenly hit the white and orange bunny, sending it into a small hopping panic. It hopped up, its head hitting the branch, sending the berry falling into the small pond, frightening the small water lizard.
"Oh!" Alisha and Layla smiled softly as the little lizard started to cry. The bunny and the little monkey both came to the pokemons side. The grass monkey gently tapped the ground with it's stick, while the bunny did a little run in place, cheering the pokemon up
"Alright, like up you three!"
Alina smiled wide, her eyes sparkling excitedly. "You can pick first, 'lina, since I have Wooloo"Hop insists, gently placing a hand on her back.
"I've already made up my mind!"Alina beamed stepping forward.
"Scorbunny, I chose you!"
Scorbunny leapt forward, giving her a fist bump, the two smiling at each other.
"Then Grookey is coming with me!"Hop smiled.
"Then Sobble can come with me"Leon comments.
N closed his eyes then opened them, Alisha giving him a small smile as Dante babbled. "These pokemon have lots of potential, I know for sure that they will grow into amazing and strong pokemon"N comments.
"Take good care of them you two"N adds quietly, fixing his hat.
"Wait, Mr and Mrs Harmonia, why are you in Galar if you don't mind me asking"Alina asks turning to the two adults.
"We're here to see my sister, she's the water gym leader, but me and my husband reside in Unova, so we come two times a month to see her in person"Alisha replies, gently passing Dante to N. Alina nodded, looking understanding that one would travel far to visit family.
"Enough talk for one night, everyone bring along your pokemon, dinner is ready!" Everyone turns to the two women, smiles on their faces.
"Mrs Harmonia! Can we see your pokemon!?" Hop ran over to the woman, a wide grin on her face.
Alisha nodded and tossed up six pokeballs, all six balls popping open and releasing the Pokemon inside.
A Weavile and Meowstic stood straight, smiles on their faces. A male Pyroar stood tall with a Luxray at his side. A Noibat beamed, flapping it's wings hovering just above a Galvantula.
"Zorua is my partner, they're my only team member"N informs when Hop looks at him curiously.
"WOW, you both have cool pokemon!"Alina beamed, her Scorbunny on her shoulder.
Alisha chuckled, N setting Dante down in the play pen that Zaza set up, letting the baby play with a few toys.
The pokemon ran about with wide smiles on their faces, sliding down Charizard's back as if he were a slide. "Careful!"Alisha giggled as Weavile showed off his old performance skills.
"You were a pokemon performer!?"Alina asks her eyes sparkling excitedly. Alisha giggled and nodded, retelling the story of her performance days.
N and Leon watched their sons, staying by the playpen as the duo chatted, leaving everyone to do their own thing.
Alina leaned against Hop, her eyes closed as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
Zaza came over with kebabs, smiling at them all as she passed some out for everyone.
The pokemon all suddenly looked away, alert looks on their faces. "Guys?"Leon says looking at the pokemon. N narrowed his eyes, quickly picking Dante up. "They sense something out of place"N mutters his eyes darting around.
The sky changed colors rapidly, turning from different shades of blue then back to the color it was at the beginning.
"What was that?"Layla asks startled, her Sylveon looking up at her then back towards the sky.
"We should all head home, I know most of us are tired, we can discuss this in the morning"Zaza suggests taking note of everyone's expressions.
A round of agreement came from everyone, N and Alisha wishing the group farewell before taking their leave heading to stay at the pokemon center for the night.
Alina waved to Hop, heading back home with her mother. "Cya!"Alina calls, waving.
"I'll come get you tomorrow!"Hop calls nodding to her.
She turned away, Scorbunny running ahead of her back towards her place. A smile made its way onto her face as she ran after him, giggling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~{The next Morning~~~~~~~~~~~
Alina yawned and stretched, walking outside to see Hop standing there. "Hey! That Wooloo got into the forbidden area!"Hop informs. The duo rushed back to the gate with wide eyes.
"We've gotta go find it!"Alina gasped. She ran off, hurrying inside with Hop behind her calling for her to slow down. Both came out into the Slumbering Weald.
"Hey, is that a person!?"Alina gasped pointing forward. "It might just be the fog but let's check!"
Both ran through the grass, hurrying over to a boy. A boy with white hair leaned against a tree, bruises covering his body, his head limp hanging forward.
"Hey, can you hear us!? Are you okay!?"Alina says, gently shaking him looking concerned.
She looked worriedly at Hop then back at the unconscious boy. A cough startled her, the boys eyes opening slowly. Purple eyes took them both in before they widened alertly.
"NO!!! I WON'T GO BACK, LEAVE ME ALONE!" He blasted water at her face, Hop snatching her out of the way.
"Wait! We're not gonna hurt you-"Alina began. The boy forced himself to stand up, stumbling when he tried to run and fell over.
Hop ran over to the boy, checking to see if he was alright. "He's unconscious again, I think he knocked himself out."
Hop released his Wooloo, ordering the pokemon to keep watch on the boy as they went to find the other Wooloo that made its way into the area.
Alina looked at the boy worriedly then turned and ran off after Hop, the two of them heading deeper and deeper.
Something made her freeze, feeling a strange sense of safety at the sound that was echoing through the fog. "Was that the Wooloo?"Hop asks. The duo continued on their way, heading deeper into the fog.
"I hope the Wooloo is okay"Alina comments, Hop giving a quick nod beside her.
Fog surrounded them from all sides, the both of them stopping in their tracks as they looked around. "Now I see why the place is off limits, there's so much fog"Alina mutters, squinting to see around.
"Yeah, I can't even see your pretty face"Hop mumbles. She looked at him questionably, a small surprised look on her face. "Hm?"Alina blinked.
"Your silly face!"Hop says quickly, looking flustered. Alina yelled in surprise, pointing behind him where a dog like creature stood, staring them both down.
Scorbunny popped out of his PokeBall, holding his arms out in front of Alina protectively. He fired an ember from his mouth, eyes widening when it did no damage.
"Alina, be careful!"Hop says quickly. The fog got thicker, Hop's hand shooting out and grabbing her wrist. Scorbunny charged forward and fired another ember, missing as the fog got thicker by the second.
"Alina!" A cry rang through the air, something large knocking them both over and firing off an ice beam through the clouding fog surrounding them.
Alina stared, her eyes narrowed. White hair came into view, purple eyes staring at her as she fell unconscious.
"I got you both..."
A gentle poke to the cheek made her open her eyes, finding herself out of the fog, Hop sitting beside her with a worried look. "Hop?"
She groaned sitting up, Hop looking at her relieved. The white haired boy from earlier stood behind Hop, piercing purple eyes sending shivers down her spine. "Who are you?"
The boy opened his mouth then suddenly stopped, looking away with a hostile expression.
"Alina, Hop!"
Leon rushed over, Layla's Sylveon at his side using her ribbons to hang onto his arm.
"Leon, you found us!?"Alina comments surprised that he managed to find his way through.
"Yeah, you're pants with directions! How'd you find your way here!" She gave Hop a look. Sometimes she wondered why he always took the chance to bring up Leon's bad sense of directions.
Not to mention, with the strange boy here things seemed all the more worrying.
"That's nice to hear from the two kids who had me worried sick! I was waiting for you both for ages!" The duo cringed back slightly, looking equally guilty.
They had forgotten about Leon with the whole Wooloo getting into the Weald and the boy they found and even with the strange looking beast that came out of the fog.
But...for some reason that beast looked so familiar to her. Why did she feel so safe seeing the beast and hearing it. It didn't make sense, a normal person wouldn't be so calm like that, even Hop freaked out upon seeing the thing.
"You found the Wooloo." The trio looked at the white haired boy, finding him pointing to Charizard and Two Wooloo's. Hop's Wooloo returned to the boys side, the second Wooloo staying beside Charizard.
"Who is this"Leon asks, walking over to the boy. Silence followed, the white haired boy looking between the trio with a calculating gaze.
"My name is Lucas...I am Lugia." He placed a hand on his chest. Hop started laughing, smiling at Lucas.
The boy's eyes suddenly glowed and he changed in size and shape, revealing a large Lugia standing there.
That had shut Hop up immediately, now wide eyes on the Lugia standing before them.
A bright glow came from the large pokemon, turning back into Lucas. "You're Lugia, any reason why you've decided to reveal that to us?"Leona questions looking curious.
"I need the help of good humans to save the other humanoid pokemon!"Lucas responds looking determined.
"Humanoid pokemon?" Lucas nodded, retelling how everything had started. It began with a scientist that had pokemon DNA all saved away for his grand plan.
He took people, teenagers and adults, using them as test subjects for his final project. Humanoid pokemon were made.
People who can shift back and forth between human and pokemon form at will and can use pokemon abilities.
A long time ago one of the humanoids had escaped with Virizion, never to be seen again after that day.
"They call her a legend, Alisha is a hero to us humanoids"Lucas explains.
"Mrs Harmonia!? She's here in Galar right now!"Alina gasps, her eyes widening. Lucas stared at her stunned, looking curious now about what she just said.
"Alisha is here in Galar with her husband and son"Leon explains, gaining Lucas' attention.
"Then I need her help!"Lucas announces, looking desperate.
"We can go...but we have to get you proper clothes first"Leon says, pointing to Lucas' labwear.
"Ah...right..clothes.."Lucas mumbles, rubbing the back of his head.
"Let's go!"
The group turned and ran through the Slumbering Weald to get out of it as quickly as they could.
~
Alina waited in the living room of Hop's home, footsteps coming close to her. She smiled at the sight of Lucas in some old clothes Hop's mother managed to find that could fit him.
"Thank you, Ms"Lucas says, politely bowing his head and getting a smile in return from the woman.
"Come on, we should go!"Hop suggests. Both nodded and the trio ran out finding Leon waiting for them.
Leon nodded to them and the group rushed off to go see Alisha. An explosion startled them, their eyes darting up to see Zaptos crash landing nearby. "ZAZU!!!"Lucas gasped feeling a familiar aura wave.
"Let's go see!"Leon suggests. The three nodded to him, rushing towards the town at the bottom of the path.
Alisha stood outside with N, her wide eyes staring towards the explosion. "Ms Alisha!" Alisha turned around, looking at them. "What was that?"Alisha asks Dante clinging to her.
"The legend..."Lucas mutters his eyes lighting up in amazement.
An explosion went off once more, N taking one of Alisha's pokeballs and nodding to her, running off with the group to see what was going down, heading towards the otherside of the town.
"NO, NO, PUT ME DOWN, I DON'T WANNA GO BACK!" The sound of crying reached them, a small yellow haired boy with a necklace that had a jewel shaped like Zaptos struggled as masked people carried him towards a cage.
"CHARIZARD, FLAMETHROWER!!" Flames blasted through the air, melting the cage and startling the grunts. The child fell into his bottom, water blasting past his head, knocking the grunts down.
The remaining grunts released their pokemon, revealing Flareon, Glaceon, Greninja and Houndoom.
"Scorbunny!"
"Grookey!"
"Weavile!!"
The three pokemon landed, joining Charizard. "ZAZU, RUN!!"Lucas yells looking at the child. Zazu shot up, making a run for it. A shriek erupted from him as a flamethrower hit the ground sending him flying. Running feet came from behind him, Leon leaping off.
He grabbed Zazu, his free hand gripping Charizard's leg as his partner glided them down. "I gotcha!"Leon grinned nodding to him.
"Scorbunny use Ember!"
"Grookey, boost that attack stat!!"
"Weavile, use an ice beam to power their attacks up!!"
The three pokemon leapt into the air, firing off the attacks and sending the grunts pokemon flying backwards away from them all.
"ONE MORE TIME!!"
Charizard's flame thrower appeared, adding to the mix of the attacks an explosion going off when a hyper beam hit the attack. A Haxorus glared at them, a masked man standing beside it.
He tossed a cube at Zazu, the item exploded. Lucas tossed Zazu away to Charizard, yelling as the net hit him, shocking him till he was down onto his knees. "Protect...Zazu.."Lucas mumbles his body trembling from the electric shocks.
"LUCAS!" N threw his arm up, stopping her and Hop from making any movements. "Don't!"N yells.
Leon rushed forward as a hook snared the net, lifting Lucas into the air. Charizard set Zazu down and started to lift into the air only for a net to catch his wing, sending him nearly crashing face first to the ground.
"Charizard!"Leon gasps looking back. He whipped back around, a Staraptor carrying Lucas away with the man in its back.
"LUCAS!!"
Alina stared in shock, Zazu clinging to her. Leon quickly freed his Charizard and pointed towards the Staraptor. "Get Lucas back!" Charizard lifted into the air, nearly falling forward. Leon checked the pokemon's wing, his eyes widening at the sight of a deep bruise.
"Leon"Hop says, looking worried. Leon shook his head, a grim expression making Alina and Hop's eyes widening realizing that they wouldn't be able to get Lucas back right now.
"...we should take this child back"N suggests, looking regretful to have to speak up.
Zazu looked at them all, wearing the same outfit Lucas had once worn when they first met him. "Alright! Let's take him back!"Hop nods.
Hop lifted Zazu up onto N's back, looking backwards towards the flying figure of Staraptor with narrowed eyes.
"Hop, come on!" He turned and ran after her, rushing to the pokemon center where Alisha was waiting for them.
Zazu stared forward, his arms around N's neck, looking slightly afraid of what might be coming next for him.
Am I ~seducing~ you? | Ch. 1*
(Piers x OC Maxine)
Rating: Mature/Explicit
Summary: "Piers stopped in his tracks as he watched his friend smile at him while propping herself onto her elbows, and then drop that smile and widen her eyes as they raked up and down his body.
Oh, does it look bad? he worried to himself.
Then, he noticed Max’s face grow pink. Her ears and what little of her neck he could see followed as her cheeks turned a deep red he wasn’t sure he’d seen on them before.
…That must be a good thing then, yeah? Probably?"
Author's Note: Wowee, what a surprise, another romantically and sexually tense MinMaxShip fic!! (said no one ever)
I had way too much fun writing this. I’ve been dealing with tons of health issues lately, which has made writing kinda hard, but it’s fun being able to whip up silly one-shots here and there when I can.
Hope y’all enjoy x
Check it out on ao3!
Next
With battling being so ingrained into Galar’s culture, it was common for the region’s gym leaders to keep their stadiums open on holidays. Why would passionate trainers sit at home with their friends and families on, let’s say Christmas Eve for example, when they could go take on gym leaders as a group activity instead?
Piers, preferring to do his own thing, would pick and choose which holidays to keep the Dark venue open. He’d take it year-by-year, seeing how he was faring the week of the occasion, and would advertise a celebratory event only if he felt like it’d be worth it. Oftentimes he’d forgo battling entirely, putting on a show instead; but regardless of what he decided on, he never failed to sell the venue out.
The amount of people who showed up proved to be far too overwhelming for Max, so she simply didn’t work holidays. She’d had one incident in her early days as a gym trainer where she tried to push past her immense discomfort and be there for a New Year’s event, only to have to hide away backstage due to a panic attack. It was for the best that she just stayed home.
She didn’t mind it, despite how isolating it could be. If anything, she found comfort in how quiet their apartment building would become with so many people at one gym or another.
This day in particular was Halloween, and Piers was readying himself for a concert. He’d always encouraged everyone — his staff included — to show up in costume. The practice kept employee morale higher, attracted more attention from fans and trainers alike, and honestly, Piers just found it fun. The idea of being able to dress any way he wanted to once a year excited him. It made him feel less self conscious when he wanted to experiment with wearing dresses, or different types of makeup, or whatever, because if he was met with criticism he could just blame it on the holiday.
Piers had his fair share of silly costumes, such as pokemon kigurumis or maid outfits. He’d never been the type to use Halloween as an excuse to look sexy like so many people do.
For some reason, he felt bold enough to change that this year.
He was a little self conscious as he inspected his incubus getup in the mirror. His high ponytail was complemented by a headband with two black horns, which held his fringe away from his face; he swapped his black eyeshadow for a deep burgundy, creating a smokey look in unison with his smudged black eyeliner; and he toyed with some faux fangs, ultimately deciding to wear them at least until he got on stage.
His usual pendant adorned his neck, and below it, his torso was practically bare. He had on a black, long-sleeved, mock-neck shirt, but the fabric ended in an upside-down v-shape just above his chest.
Raihan, being a master of the craft of Looking Slutty, suggested Piers spice it up with some fake tattoos somewhere on his lower torso. He reluctantly did just that, drawing a small black wing with some eyeliner between each hip bone, slightly below his navel. He thought it would be too much but wound up liking it, especially preferring it over sporting a set of wearing fake wings.
He wore tight, black, leather pants, and would slip on some high-heeled leather boots on his way out, as usual. Today, though, he added a whale tail with a burgundy thong beneath it all — a little accent to complement his eyeshadow — and a black leather garter on his upper left thigh.
It wasn’t out of character for Piers to be completely shirtless at some points during his shows just due to sweat, but something about today felt so much more scandalous than usual. Maybe it was the attention he drew to his hips, or maybe it was the fact that he was arriving at the venue already practically topless. Who could say?
He wanted a second opinion on the outfit. Most of Piers’ buddies were gym leaders and busy prepping for their own celebrations, though, so Piers didn’t want to bother any of them.
That only left… Max and Marnie, he supposed. And there was no way in hell he was showing his little sister this outfit.
He sighed, dragging his feet on the short walk between rooms. The star felt a bit nervous presenting himself to Max so scantily clad. She’d seen him topless, but like he’d been thinking, this felt different.
He stood outside Max’s room and asked, “Oi, you decent?” through the door.
“Yup.”
She was hanging out on her bed. She laid belly-down, her head towards the foot of the mattress and her arms slightly dangling off, with her DS in hand. Not having Halloween plans herself, but wanting to do something, she opted to just wear a fuzzy white cat ear headband with her otherwise unfestive black hoodie and light pink joggers.
She was in the middle of something, so when Piers entered, she hadn’t looked up. She did greet him, though.
“What’s up?”
“Need your opinion on my costume.”
“‘Kay, ooone sec,” she murmured.
Piers admired how Max’s brows furrowed when she was feeling determined. He grinned when he noticed her headband, too. Cute.
He huffed out a near-silent laugh in tandem when Max’s misdreavus made itself visible and floated over to Piers, greeting him with its own set of cat ears equipped.
He patted its head between the accessory. “Hey, missy.”
It chirped happily before leaving the room to hang out somewhere else in the apartment. Probably the couch, he assumed. That fella really loved a good sofa… or any sofa for that matter. Theirs was pretty beaten up.
Piers shut the door behind the creature. Curious as to what Max was doing while he waited, he was about to make his way towards her with the intention to watch over her shoulder; but right when he took his first step, Max closed the device with a triumphant huff and looked towards him.
Piers stopped in his tracks as he watched his friend smile at him while propping herself onto her elbows, and then drop that smile and widen her eyes as they raked up and down his body.
Oh, does it look bad? he worried to himself.
Then, he noticed Max’s face grow pink. Her ears and what little of her neck he could see followed as her cheeks turned a deep red he wasn’t sure he’d seen on them before.
…That must be a good thing then, yeah? Probably?
“Erm.” She cleared her throat, fixing the heightened pitch of her voice — which was already pretty high-pitched, normally — before averting her eyes. After a beat she shyly met Piers’. Her gaze started to lower, as if on its own volition, but she rapidly snapped it back up to his face.
…Definitely, Piers concluded.
He flustered her.
This wasn’t one of those common instances where someone did something sweet or embarrassing to her, or where she did something sweet or embarrassing.
He put her in this state purely by looking the way he did.
And that felt fucking incredible to him.
Initially the realization had made him giddy. Then, as he registered that it could be absurdly fun to tease her about this — to tease her right now — his smile widened into something more mischievous.
Max’s following compliment came out strained. She was fighting for her life to make herself look unaffected.
(She was failing.)
“Looks good!”
Piers’ brows raised slightly as he flashed his fangs. “Y’think so?”
“Ye— oooh,” she cut herself off with a whisper, noticing the prosthetics. She could practically feel herself short-circuiting as she tried to figure out what to say. Please stop staring at his teeth, please be normal about this, she begged herself before settling on, “Can you sing in those?”
“Eh…”
Piers looked up a little, tilting his head to either side while he weighed out whether it would be doable or not. While doing so, he began fidgeting the tip of his tongue against one of his pointed teeth. The simple movements of his mouth made Max gulp.
“Probably, but I might take ‘em out anyway.”
“Hm.” Max slowly nodded, diverting her attention to the floorboards. She crossed her outstretched legs behind her, too. Something about shutting her thighs eased the tension growing between them.
Her overall reaction was all he needed to be way more confident in his attire. Cocky, even, just because it was Max. He cared more about her opinions of him than most other people’s. So, while she seemed to zone out, Piers quietly approached her bed, leaning his palms down onto the corner of it.
He wanted her attention. Wanted to see how many of her buttons he could push like this. He’d accepted his infatuation towards her by now, and to take advantage of the moment to see what kinds of reactions he could pull from her fueled his desires even further.
It made him feel a bit perverted, in a way.
Was it perverted?
Whatever, it didn’t matter. It’s not like he was hurting her by having a little fun. He knew she’d speak up if he made her uncomfortable at any point. There was very little risk in messing around, and a high reward to be had.
Timidly, Max side-eyed Piers’ exposed form, bringing the collar of her hoodie to her chin — a makeshift hiding spot — before letting her head fully turn. Her heart stuttered at the intense look in Piers’ eyes. He was amused, clearly, given the faint smile that played on his lips while he gnawed the lower one, only one of his fangs visible; but more than that, he watched over her like a predator would its prey.
He asked lowly, “You like it, then?”
God, yes— “Mhm,” Max nodded.
Piers noted the slight quiver in her breath, and swelling with pride, he continued, “How much?”
As the words came out, he gravitated to the foot of Max’s bed, slowly sinking onto his knees to meet her at eye level, no more than a foot away.
“Oh, um…”
Max looked down in an attempt to escape eye contact, only to realize she was openly staring at his torso. She honed in on his decorated hips for a short moment before blinking a few times, as if to wipe away her racing thoughts. She plastered her view onto his right arm.
“I… I don’t know.” She dropped her hold on her hoodie, then answered, “It’s a good look on you,” pulling a small section of hair over her shoulder to fidget with. As she twirled the brown and pink strands between her fingers, Piers noticed that her feet were kicking in place the slightest little bit.
“You sure? Seems like ya can’t even look at me while you say it,” he teased, lifting Max’s chin with his pointer and middle finger.
She wanted to fucking die. To vanish from thin air and not have to deal with how pretty he was. How sexy he was.
But there was no escape.
She could tell from his constant ghost of a smirk that he knew exactly what he was doing. Whether he simply enjoyed toying with her, or he knew he was absolutely melting her, she had no clue — whichever it was, though, it turned her on more than she could possibly begin to comprehend.
Piers egged her on, her eyes widening a little as he leaned in closer, “I mean, I can tell you with full confidence that you make an adorable kitten.” He gestured his head towards her ears.
Arc’s sake, please shut up, Max wanted to scold him, her heart threatening to beat its way out of her body. She wanted to close what little of a gap there was between them. To pounce on him. For him to do the same. Anything.
“Well… I do mean it,” she answered once she was able to compose herself. “I’m just a little embarrassed, I guess,” Max admitted, with a breathy, nervous waver lingering in her voice.
Piers leaned forward again. “Why’s that?”
Max’s eyes flickered between Piers’ darkened eyes and his lips. “Don’t— erm, don’t you have to leave?”
He shook his head slightly. “I have plenty of time to grill ya if I want to.” His mouth formed into a toothy, meowth-like smile.
“Damn it,” she quietly laughed, looking down, now that Piers’ hold on her had slackened.
He promptly stole her back, tugging her view to his once more while he laughed with her. He thought she had such a pretty smile — especially when her face was so rosy.
“Y’know, if I didn’t know any better…” he began to speculate as he nearly closed their gap. Their noses were just a few centimeters apart. Max seemed to be in a trance, her eyes following his mouth’s every move while it drew nearer. “I’d say it looks like you want me to kiss you or somethin’.”
Max’s eyes shot up to his while she nervously chewed the inside of her lip between her canines. She looked hopeful. Pleading. Desperate.
Confident facade aside, Piers felt similarly.
“…Do you want me to kiss you, Max?” Piers whispered. Despite the softness in its volume, his voice had an almost dangerous tone to it.
It made Max gasp. She was putty in his hands.
Piers felt himself twitch in his pants at her barely-audible reaction. He wondered when else she’d ever make faces like these, when else she’d sigh such wistful little breaths. Simultaneously, she’d been wondering if this is the sort of demeanor he’d have in bed.
Unable to resist but feeling shy, she nodded the slightest bit. The motion would’ve been unnoticeable if you weren’t looking for it.
Piers was on her before she could even register that he’d obliged, eagerly holding her face and smashing his lips against hers. Her surprise manifested in a whimper and filled her with embarrassment while it drove Piers mad with lust.
Max rested a hand atop one of his while she struggled to pull herself up into a kneel. Her legs felt like jelly beneath her as she maneuvered herself to be sitting on the edge of her bed, her legs dangling on either side of Piers as she draped her arms around his neck. She rested one palm against the back of his head while the other gripped the fabric covering his opposite shoulder.
Max wondered, as their lips and tongues ebbed and flowed, how such a simple costume could have made her so goddamn needy… and why did it seem to have the same effect on him?
While Max was lost in thought and inebriated by Piers’ kisses, the man stood up, leaned his right palm onto the bed, and weaved his left fingers beneath Max’s loose mane to cup her nape.
He encouraged her to lay back with nothing but the force of his lips, letting her decide whether or not to invite him closer. She subconsciously tightened her thighs against his hips as she complied, her body willing his to meet hers on its own volition; enticing his core towards hers as he hovered above her, his ponytail tickling her cheek and his breaths fanning her face each time their mouths unclasped.
Max, knowing Piers could recreate his ponytail in an instant if he wanted to, tangled her fingers through the taught hair. She gripped onto it for dear life and leaned upward as if it would allow her to taste more of him, sighing into his mouth as he used his lips to pin her back down.
Piers smiled against her, noting that she seemed to really like when he took control. It reminded him of a move he busted out during their first kiss, so he decided to recreate it. A little commemoration of sorts. He drifted his thumb to Max’s chin and — without warning, unlike last time — pulled her mouth open and held it there, leaving her powerless in terms of how long their tongues would be knotted together.
Just like the first time, Max accidentally whined into his mouth. Just like the first time, Piers breathed out a laugh through his nose. He didn’t halt their connection this time, though, favoring twirling his tongue around hers over the prospect of teasing her. He did hum to express his satisfaction though.
If he heard correctly, Max whimpered again at his reaction, albeit near silently.
And he did hear correctly, but not for the reason he’d thought. Max definitely responded positively to his humming, but she was more so focused on the way he just took the reins and seemed to really enjoy it. She did too. Being teased, being bossed around a bit. Being at his will. All of it made her feel restless.
Max arched her back a little to be closer to Piers.
Piers gripped the curve of her hip and squeezed, firmly pressing his pelvis between her opened legs in tandem.
Max desperately tugged at Piers’ hair with one hand to pull him closer, and gently caressed his cheek with the other.
Piers bit Max’s lip, forgetting he had fangs equipped, and drew a little blood—
Oh.
He pulled away and brought his hand to her cheek while he made sure she was okay.
She nodded. She kinda liked the pain. She didn’t tell him, but something about the hungry glint in her eye gave it away.
…Oooh!
Piers, with a smirk that met his eyes more than his lips, licked the blood away before stealing another open-mouthed kiss, and it was literally the hottest thing that had ever happened to Max.
This only lasted a few moments longer, both of them mourning the loss of each other’s lips the second they were apart. Still hovering over Max, Piers pulled his phone from his pocket to check the time.
Their chests heaved as they stared at the rotom. They both knew he needed to leave, but Piers heavily considered canceling the show in favor of spending the night snogging Max’s face off.
Fuck it… I can be late.
Piers gently tossed the device aside, letting it float down on its own, and dove back down. Max happily went along with it for a short while before feeling guilty.
Damn it.
“Mm–” she hummed against him, cupping his cheeks to gently nudge him away. “You’ve gotta go, no?”
Piers, while staring at Max’s swollen lips as if they were the most fascinating things he’d ever seen, sighed. “Don’t wanna.” He immediately dipped back down, a goofy grin curling his lips upward.
“What?” Max laughed, her nose scrunching up a bit as she stopped him from kissing her again. “I thought you loved Halloween shows specifically.”
I love you more— “This is more fun.”
The sincerity in Piers’ voice, even if it was lighthearted and silly, had Max wanting him to cancel the show too.
This was the perfect opportunity to poke fun at him, though. “Taking this whole incubus thing a bit seriously, no?” It wasn’t a complaint, but it had piqued her curiosity.
“Ha!”
Max basked in Piers’ bright smile, feeling proud that she made him laugh, even if it wasn’t all that funny. Even if she always made him laugh.
Whatever. His laugh was cute and made her happy. That’s all that mattered.
Still grinning, Piers squinted at Max, readying an absolutely lethal blow. He nudged her nose with his, then let his lips ghost hers as he purred, “Why? Is it working?”
Max, hypnotized, let her eyes drop to where their lips were nearly connected. She tilted her head up a tiny bit, but Piers pulled back, his smile widening.
“Answer the question, love,” he taunted her before repeating the motions. “Am I seducing you?” He added a subtle nudge of his hips against her mid-sentence for emphasis. Max’s lip quivered as she swallowed back a moan before it could come out.
Max didn’t answer him. She didn’t want to lie, but there was no way in hell she was about to tell him how badly she yearned for him.
Her silence spoke volumes. Piers, wanting to hit Max with one last razzle dazzle, kissed her again, letting his tongue lead the way after successfully propping her mouth open. It was sloppy, it was deep, it was so hot, and it snatched Max’s fucking soul out of her body — very in-character! — but it also ended way too soon for her liking.
Piers concluded darkly after a moment of silence, “Very good to know,” before standing upright.
Half of him hoped his bulge wasn’t too noticeable.
Only half.
Max definitely saw something, but knew that if she lingered on it for too long, she’d be begging him to stay home, and to give up all restraint and rules and whatever, and to just fuck her senseless instead — so, she did her best to act like it wasn’t there.
“B-but I didn’t even answer you,” she weakly pointed out as Piers pulled out his messy ponytail, promptly fixing it back up into something tidier.
“But you didn’t deny it,” he winked at her, “and that’s all the confirmation I need.”
Satisfied with the havoc he’d wreaked, Piers grabbed his phone and made his way towards the door.
“Huh?” Max squeaked.
Piers met her eyes over his shoulder. “Byeee,” he sang… And he decided on a whim to snipe her one last time. “Try not to have too much fun without me.”
Max was speechless at the implications there as Piers shut the door behind himself. The man was now grinning like a doofus, knowing that he affected Max so immensely, even if it was just this once — at least to his knowledge.
He went into her room initially expecting an honest opinion, then to either hang out a little, or to work on improving his look. Maybe both, if she wanted to help.
Instead, he was handed some confidence on a silver platter in the form of Max blushing and whimpering for him. Fidgeting because of him. Visibly yearning for him.
He felt like a million bucks — like he was unstoppable. He was about to put on the best show of his career. He could just feel it.
Max, on the other hand, was stuck staring at the door, completely dumbfounded.
…What the fuck just happened?
A Champion Time For The Heart Ch5 Sponsorship
(this story will contain my own headcannons about the backstories of some of the characters and info on the league cards)
Tumblr media
The trainers had arrived.
Professor Magnolia hummed in the middle of her trip to the kitchen as you and Leon watched from the couch. You both had a pretty good idea of who it was as the excited knocking continued when an answer didn't come from anyone instead. Eventually the professor answered.
"The door's open!," she shouted towards the door and you were impressed when she didn't flinch with how fast it flew open and in came the two children you both were waiting for. Hop and Gloria with excited smiles on their faces.
"PROFESSOR!," Hop greeted as he came right in and you blinked when Leon stood up from the couch and walked on over to stand next to the professor.
"Why, Hop dear," Ms. Magnolia greeted as he came up to her, "So these must be the new trainers Leon requested the starters for." She then turned to Gloria. "And this must be your friend, Gloria."
"And rival!" Gloria stood proudly which made the Professor chuckle.
"I see." Her eyes looked over to the bag on Hop's back, a few Pokeballs visible in a pocket on the side. "Oh? I see Wooloo has made some new friends. I trust you two received the pokedex from Sonia. I'm sure you'll have it complete in no time."
"Hey, Professor, do us a favor, would you?," Hop asked with a nervous face and the older woman turned back to him with a hum. OH BOY! You knew exactly where this would go. The professor would convince Leon into sponsoring the two for the Gym Challenge but not before he had them give a battle to convince him otherwise. "Help me convince Lee he should endorse us for the Gym Challenge!"
By now Leon had stood next to the professor as she hummed and turned her head to the Champion. "Oh Leon, why wouldn't you endorse them?"
Here it comes.
"Ehh." he sighed. Reaching a hand up to take off his hat and running his other through his long purple locks. "Hop and Gloria only just started out as pokemon trainers..." Both teens smiles dropped and they looked at one another. "There's still loads they don't know yet! Plus after today's little incident...Maybe they're not ready to take on something like this."
"BUT LEE!," Gloria interjected catching his attention. "You were younger than us when you first started out on your journey!"
"Yeah! And Sonia had to help you how many times?," Hop gestured to him like it was obvious.
Leon hummed with a frown. "Yeah, but I'm always hopeless with directions. I never went into Slumbering Wield at all, except to get you two out, but that's totally different then walking in intentionally."
"Now Lee," Ms. Magnolia looked at him. "It's in every young child's nature to make mistakes. It's all a part of growing up and becoming stronger. Dearie, I thought your dream was to have everyone in the Galar Region become strong trainers. Isn't that right?"
He hummed returning the hat back to his head. "Well...yeah. You're not wrong. That goal's precisely the reason I gave them both pokemon, in fact."
"Well then why don't you give them a chance to make mistakes and grow," she suggested as he still had that Skeptical frown. Leon hummed and looked back to the two. "You made plenty of mistakes too, Lee. Don't forget. You said so yourself."
"I know, I know." A hand came up to rub his chin. "And it does look like they caught a few pokemon by themselves." A small silence passed over them as you watched with a smile knowingly, and the two teens looked almost scared of his anwer....Before he sighed again. "Right then...In that case, how about this?" He held up a finger pointing. "Let's see if the two of you can show me such a brilliant battle that I'm left no choice but to endorse you. If I think you two have a good enough fighting chance then the endorsement's all yours."
"YES!!," both teens cheered with Hop doing an arm pump but it was enough for Leon to smile at them.
"And don't worry. I'll make sure both your teams are in good shape before the battle starts." He paused and looked out the window for a moment. "....It's been almost the entire day...We better go outside and get started if you two are going to be back home before dark too."
"RIGHT! I'll be waiting outside, Glory!" And again Hop dashed away
"HEY WAIT!! NO FAIR!!" She frowned and ran after him with Leon chuckling.
"Hurry it up, Glor! You've gotta battle me so I can get myself that endorsement!," his voice echoed back outside.
"Ah those two. I don't think I had that much energy even when I was their age." You got up Sobble chittering as the professor chuckled and started towards the door, cane thumping against the floor. As you two followed her out.
Leon sighed. "Yeah. Well I better get out there. If something goes wrong they'll need some help and someone needs to watch the battle they put on."
The three of you piled outside, you two slowly going out after the professor and finding the two teens already at the battle court a lil ways from the purple house pokemon already out and ready to go and you blinked. Oh. Looks like they did get some new pokemon.
"ALRIGHT!," Leon called side stepping past the professor fast and quickly walking towards the two, catching their attention. "Listen you two! The reason I'm unbeatable is because I learn from every battle I see or take part in. That's how I've gotten to where I am today. So show me something good in this battle!" He finally made it to the middle of the court and looked between the two for a moment. "Ok! The same rules of your first battle will apply to here as well. The first one to become unconscious or knocked out of bounds loses!"
"I'm interested in seeing how you two young trainers battle, too." Leon looked over as the you and the Professor stepped beside him and she finally made it to watch with a smile. "Now remember to give it everything you got. That's the best thing you can do for your pokemon and for yourselves, too."
"Good luck you two!," you added with a wave Sobble chirping in agreement.
"I'm going to become the greatest pokemon trainer there is!," Hop declared, Wooloo baaing in total agreement with him on the field, "And to do that I need that endorsement to take part in the Gym Challenge!" He pointed straight to Gloria. "Come at me with everything you have so we can prove to Lee that we've got what it takes!"
Gloria huffed hands on her hips. You figured by now that would probably be her default pose like Hop's was that couched fist pumped one. Not that you judged. "HA! If you want a show you've come to the right person then!" She pointed back. "Guess you'll be tasting my victory again!"
"We'll see about that, Glory! IT'S TIME FOR MY LEGEND TO BEGIN!," he shouted pointed out to the field challenging, "LET'S GO, WOOLOO!!" The sheep pokemon baaed out challenging to Gloria's...bird pokemon?? You didn't recognize it. "Have you gotten a bit stronger?"
Gloria hummed. "I'd say so. I wouldn't have this new pal here if I hadn't! What do you think?!"
"I think me and my test will put you to the test and see!"
"OH YEAH! WELL IN THAT CASE! ROOKIDEE USE HONE CLAWS!!," Gloria barked an order to the small bird pokemon and you guessed that the pokemon was a Rookidee. The small pokemon gave a tweeting noise and jumped in air, and you had to blinked when all of a sudden there was a dazzle of bright white light in the shape of slash marks. You blinked and....nothing happened. The wooloo was still in the standing position. What was all that about?
"You're confused?" You snapped to the professor as she smiled seeing your confused expression. "Hone Claws is a move that allows Rookidee's accuracy and attack to rise for their next attack. A smart or dumb move depends on what Hop does."
"WOOLOO USE TACKLE!!" The wooloo followed it's master's orders and quickly rolled into a ball and headed straight for them. You were surprised when Gloria made no move to stop it as her Rookidee remained standing as the wooloo was about to hit- The Rookidee was knocked back a few feet from the Wooloos tackle with a chirp and Gloria still did nothing.
"USE HONE CLAWS AGAIN!!," she ordered and this time you turned your head from the bright white attack reflecting the sun's light.
"HA! Didn't you see the first time that Hone Claws didn't work, Glory? USE TACKLE AGAIN!!" Hop taunted before ordering another assault. Again the same thing repeated with Gloria doing absolutely nothing and letting the rookidee be hit away a few more feet. Two or three more hits and Gloria would be ove-
Your eyes widened, Hop's question replaying in your mind. Head snapping to Gloria who remained unmoved. 'Didn't you see the first time that Hone Claws didn't work, Glory?'....Hop had no idea what Hone Claws really did did he!? You looked at Gloria who still did nothing as her pokemon shook it's head. That sneaky gal! She knew exactly what she was doing and so did you! Gloria was buying time for Rookidee's power to rise enough before delivering a powerful attack raised from the two hone claws attacks! Hop had no idea what was about to come his way!
"USE TACKLE TO YOUR MAX STRENGTH!! KNOCK'EM OUT!!," Hop ordered and the wooloo obeyed. Rolling fiercely towards Gloria's Rookidee as she did nothing to stop the upcoming hit-
"PECK!" It all happened so fast you could barely register it, didn't help it happened at such close range too. As soon as the wooloo was just barely a foot away from it, Gloria quickly ordered a ..Peck, and a direct power hit was delivered right to the wooloo's front in a grey cone shaped blur. Which resulted in a loud baa from the wooloo and it was knocked backwards. Rolling head over heels over and over again until it landed on it's side and slide the rest of the way before Hop's feet.
"WOOLOO!!" He cried almost horrified and dropped to his knees before the pokemon and reaching his hands out towards the spiraled eyed pokemon.
"Wooloo's unable to battle!," Leon shouted pointing to Gloria, "Gloria wins the first round!"
You felt sorry for Hop as he looked really down as he stood back up and took out a pokeball to you assume to put his wooloo in, but you had to wonder...Wasn't wooloo already still tired from their first battle earlier that day?? And from running around to try and catch some wild pokemon before they got here? Gloria probably would've beaten Hop anyways if he had no idea about Hone Claws but this world was a bit different from your game play or any game you could remember. This was a live battle you were witnessing, so of course it'd be more intense. Hop eventually did return the wooloo and pulled out another ball soon after.
"Alright then! Time to shine!," he shouted throwing out the next pokeball. What you weren't expecting was his Grookey to pop out in a flash of bright light. ...Wouldn't grookey be tired as well? Since Hop only had two pokemon he used, it made since he could only use the two he had for the previous battle and pokemon catching, so both might've been more exhausted.
"Are you going to switch your Rookidee, Gloria?," Leon asked looking to her but she shook her head.
"Nah! I'll stick with the one I got, Lee."
He nodded. "Alright! ROUND TWO GO!!"
"YOU WON'T GET THE BEST OF ME THIS TIME!! NOW THAT I KNOW YOUR TRICK!!," Hop shouted at Gloria frowning and pointing towards the rookidee, "GROOKEY USE SCRATCH-"
"PECK!!", Gloria ordered back quickly and..Well you guessed your suspicions were right dead on...because the Grookey wasn't fast enough to dodge the upcoming fast flying attack. You weren't sure if it was a factor of Hop's pokemon being tired or Gloria's rookidee being still hyped up from Hone Claws (or maybe a lil bit of both who knows?), but the grookey was struck in mid air midscratch and tumbled to the ground in a one hit K.O., Hop letting out a startled cry as his grookey was taken down.
The tention was cut by a flutter of Leon's cape and his hand pointing out to Gloria. "MATCH! Grookey's unable to battle! Victory goes to Gloria again!"
You knew it was probably in the gameplay for Gloria to win, so technically you shouldn't intervene or really feel bad about this, because if everything went according to the game, that meant you could go home or wake up from this weird dream you having but-...Hop returned his grookey back into the pokeball with a frown and disappointed look and you frowned too. You couldn't help but feel bad for him losing like this. Dream or not Hop seemed to show real emotion and you felt bad for knowing what was going to happen.
Hop looked glumly to the pokeball in his hand for a moment, before closing his eyes and you supposed, took a breath. Before snapping back up with a smile. "Well, Look at you! Seems you've really learned your type matchups!" He suddenly held up a pokeball. "How's about best two outta three rounds?"
"Sure! Why not!? After all I already won two outta 'em!"
"Yeah? Well I bet you weren't expecting THIS!" He tossed out another pokeball, or you assumed another, they all looked the same to you, and out with a flash of light came a ...Rookidee. Just like Gloria's. "It'll be a close one, but that's exactly my sort of match!"
Your eyes widened a bit. Oh wow. You weren't expecting that for sure. Leon also seemed to be interested as he looked back to Gloria. "Do you want to switch out your pokemon before the final match, Glory?"
After a moment of staring she shook her head. "Nah. I think I'll stick with rookidee and battle it out."
Leon nodded. "Alright! Final match! Ready you two!? BEGIN!!"
"ALRIGHT! TIME TO START THIS OFF WITH HONE CLAWS SINCE THAT WORKED SO GOOD FOR YOU GLOR!!" Hop pointed and in another flash of bright white light that made you blink as the rookidee flew up and gave the same slice attack to the air Gloria's rookidee did from earlier.
"ALRIGHT THEN! LET'S DO THE SAME SHALL WE?! ROOKIDEE HONE CLAWS!," Gloria ordered smiling and the bird pokemon did the same attack from before.
"USE PECK!!" And you all watched as Hop's rookidee honed it's peck ability and with a flap through the air they dove right towards the other rookidee before them.
"DODGE IT!!" You guessed Hop wasn't expecting Gloria to actually dodge the attack and instead use another move based off the Hone Claws attack she ordered from earlier. But with a quick blur, Gloria's Rookidee barely dodged out of the way, but somehow completely missing the attack and then it happened. You had guessed that Hop's rookidee was going too fast to pull up in time as it flew down at gloria's at a downwards strike. Because with a crash and sound that made you and your sobble cringe, the poor rookidee smashed into the pavement battle field as Gloria's rookidee flapped it's wings and fell over, from there the lot of you watched as the poor pokemon continued to roll head over heels unable to stop itself as it rolled towards Gloria who quickly lifted up her leg as to avoid the pokemon who rolled off the field and onto the grassy area behind her. Everyone stood there in silence watching the now still pokemon as it laid there for a moment before it let out a small chirp and managed to lift it's head up just a bit. Not knocked out but probably not able to battle.
"ROOKIDEE!!," Hop shouted in worry leaving his place and running over from his spot startling Gloria's pokemon and as soon as he got close enough, dropped to his knees in front of the tweeting pokemon. Hands hovering over the pokemon. "IM SO SORRY! ARE YOU OK?!" He jumped and looked up as Gloria grabbed his shoulder and gave an apologetic look.
"Match over!," Leon called jogging his way over to them, humming at the sight of the rookidee, "Well...Wasn't certainly expecting that of all things. Hop, put your pokemon back in it's ball. We'll have Nurse Joy at the center take a look at your pokemon on the way home."
Hop immediately did as Leon suggested and quickly returned the rookidee back into it's pokeball before standing up as you and Professor Magnolia slowly walked towards them. Hop sighed and reached a hand up to rub his head letting his other arm flop to his side. "Man, oof. Gutted that I lost..." He turned to Gloria with a sad smile. "But I'd expect nothing less from my rival! And I even got my pokeball throw perfect, too."
"I'm sorry, Hop," Gloria apologized gently grabbing his arm as he blinked, "I didn't think that'd happen to your poor rookidee. I promise next time I'll try not to let that happen."
Hop quickly looked away clearing his throat and shrugging. "I-It's fine. That's how it is in the real world. The sting of defeat and joy of victory. I guess going through both is the key to the two of us getting stronger, r-right?"
"Gloria. Hop." Both looked back up as Leon smiled down proud at them. "I'm really glad you see it that way. I'm proud you learnt a good lesson from all this. And that being said...Well." He crossed his arms proudly. "After seeing you learn, and after seeing a match like that I suppose I've little choice but to give you both an endorsement as Champion!"
By the way their faces went from smiling to shocked, with their mouths literally dropped open, you would've thought they'd seen a ghost or something, and you couldn't help but giggle at that. Especially when they gasped upon seeing Leon reach behind him and pull out two small envelopes from behind his cape, each one having a small red wax seal on them. Leon proudly held them out to the children and you could see Gloria do her best as to not freak out.
"SHUT. UP. REALLY!? OMG!!" She yelled starry eyed and grabbing the letter from him like it was a teenage girl's first phone. "BEST! DAY! EVER!!"
"YES!" Hop jumped holding the letter up. "Thanks, Lee! I swear I'm going to win my way through the Gym Challenge to reach you!," Hop promised.
Leon laughed happily in return looking proud, and it was a smile which was contagious as you smiled. "You may both still be young, and plenty rough around the edges, but it was a proper battle. Charizard and I were both feeling the excitement in every last cell in our bodies!"...His smile wavered just a bit as he hummed. "But if I can offer some advice after seeing you two duke it out there." He turned to Hop. "You seem to panic a little bit there and your pokemon were tired. My suggestion would be to find the good and bad line between the phrase 'pushing your limits'." Hop paused for a moment..before frow- "Hop, you've always tended to get caught up in things like how you throw your poke ball out..Things that have nothing to do with real strength." He explained softly, "Honestly, I'd been worried about you still obsessing over that sort of nonsense, but it seems you really have grown a bit, Little Brother!" His smile came back and Hop blinked wide eyed before Leon turned to Gloria who froze under Leon's stare. "And I'd like to see more thrilling pokemon battles out of you too, Gloria...But a word of caution. It's obvious where Hop lacks in battle strategics you have impressive moves, but don't get too over confident. There's a fine line between confident and cocky. You two will be going head to head with other FAR MORE EXPERIENCED pokemon trainers and Gym Leaders who's going to have more tricks, more know how, and more success. But always remember practice makes perfect. You two practice and work on your weaknesses and soon you'll be heading towards battling me in no time!"
The smiles came back to both teens once again and you sighed. Well that could've gone much worse, but you were glad that at least things were starting to go as it was supposed to of course, but you had to wrack your brain and try to remember as much of this game as you could! If not for your sake, then the two kids here. The last thing you wanted was something like Gloria sneaking into Slumbering Wield again.
"Alright, Glory!" Hop flashed his friend a confident smile thrusting the letter at her. "You and me are going to train up against one another to aim for that Champion title!! It's like Lee said! The more we keep battling against one another the more our pokemon will grow!"
"You're on, Hoppity! Can't wait for our rematch then!"
Both kids laughed and you smiled even mor- You winced when your sobble suddenly chirped in your ear and turned around on your shoulder suddenly. "Ow! Hey! What's wrong?" You asked as you turned to the pokemon on your shoulder but it's body was half blocking your view as it looked up towards the sky. So you could only see his blue body, but it caught the attention of every other person there as they looked up and saw the shining light with a red trail leading behind it.
"Huh?! HEY! Look there!," Hop shouted pointing a hand towards the sky at it, "What's that!?"
"I don't know but it's coming right for us!"
Everyone watched and you eventually got Sobble's tail off your face just in time to see three sparkles land on the ground a little ways from the Professor's lake. The two teens already making a dash for the shiny objects and of course you fo-...You paused....Wait. Something was coming back to you now...OF COURSE!! THE WISHING STONES!...THINGS! In the game the player used those stones to make their pokemon gigantic! Or dynamax as everyone in this world called it. Looks like you were starting to remember a bit more about all this. In the meantime, Hop had picked up the shiny stones into his hands and gave them a wide eyed look upon realizing what it was.
"Gloria! Would you look at this!?" He smiled widely and turned with excitement plastered all over his face. Gemstones shining brightly in the sunlight. "They're wishing stars!"
"NO WAY!!" Her blue eyes widened looking at them like she had never seen something more beautiful in her life. "THAT'S SO COOL!!"
"Since there's three of them, you should take one yourself!" Hop held one hand out to her and she squealed in excitement instantly.
"Wishing stones?," you repeated under your breath and apparently the professor heard you because you jumped as she spoke.
"A Wishing Stone is a stone found in the Galar Region with a mysterious power to dynamax a trainer's pokemon. It's said that your dreams will come true if you find one." She smiled at the two exited teens. "And it looks like you two are about to have a lot of luck indeed."
"With one of these, my pokemon can dynamax! They're gonna be massive!" He thrusted the stone into the air as Gloria was still cooing over the shiny stone in her hands, turning it this way and that, inspecting it as carefully as a detective would a case. "YES!!''
Which made Leon give a good natured laugh and put his hands to his hips as his little brother looked to him excitedly. "It's a lucky day for everyone here then! Trust you to pull something like this." He nodded towards the stone in his hand. "They say wishing stars fall down for those who have a true wish in their heart, you know." Which made Hop's eyes widen even more.
"REALLY!? Well if that's the case!" He thrusted the gem towards the three adults(you being one of them), "I will be the greatest trainer ever! I will be the greatest trainer EVER!! I WILL BE THE GREATEST TRAINER EVER!!" He shouted out and it made you giggle along with Leon and the sobble on your shoulder giving Hop a scowl from the loud volume. "There! I've said it three times, so surely my wish will come true now, right?" He asked glancing to Leon for confirmation.
"Hop! The three wish things are genies with the lamps. Not wishing on stars," Gloria said raising a brow at him.
Beside you the professor chuckled, sighed, and shook her head in that order. "Don't be silly, Hop." The boy looked to her as she explained and pointed to the stones in their hands. "Those Wishing Stars are composed of a curious sort of soft containing unknown power. They are one of the most precious resources we have here in the Galar Region." She hummed. "But they won't do a thing for you in that state. Give them to me now, and I'll have you sorted." She gently held out her hand to the kids and Gloria didn't hesitate to give the professor her shiny stone-
"Ah, right. You've done heaps of research on the Dynamax Phenomenon, haven't you, Professor?," Hop asked excitedly but continued before she could even answer. "Then please! Give Gloria and me the power to dynamax our pokemon!"
Gloria held up a hand. "Hop. You didn't even give-"
"First we got to battle the mad pokemon in the Slumering Weild, and now this!" No one noticed the bright orange haired woman walking over from up the dirt pathway. "It really feels like we're getting caught up in the adventure of a lifetime-
"HOP!!" Gloria shouted at him with a scowl startling the boy with a jump as he blinked to her. "You can't dynamax anything if you don't give the Professor the Wishing Star."
.......He blinked. "O-OH! RIGHT! SORRY!"
The professor still smiled kindly as Hop dropped his own stone into her hand beside Gloria's and she pulled her hand back having them. "I do understand your excitement, young man, but don't get carried away. You want to save your energy for the day after tomorrow's journey."
"Seems I came back home in time for all the excitement!," a lady's voice cut through the air and everyone turned to see Sonia just a little ways from the battle court smiling at them. Yapper at her heels panting and barking in agreement to whatever she said. Before she shook her head and started to walk over towards you lot.
"HEY! Sonia! You just missed all the fun!" Leon smiled and jabbed a finger behind him towards the children. "I just got the honors of not only being the Champion Referee, but being the sponsor for two amazing young Gym Challenge Trainers!" He then gestured towards the Professor. "And then even got some Wishing Stars the Professor's gonna make into Dynamax Bands."
"Wishing Stars? You don't say," She smiled glancing to her Grandmother for a moment and shook her head before crossing her arms, "Well I'm sorry if I missed all the action, but if you forget someone had to resecure the gate leading to the Slumbering Wield."
Both children instantly froze...before Hop cleared his throat and looked away with a hand rubbing his neck, and Gloria whistled while also looking away. Riiiight. Totally not suspicious looking in the slightest. And it made you chuckle again at the childish behavior before shaking your head and looking up towards the sky. This world's sun was setting and you had to reach a hand up to block out the harsh light to your eyes. The sky was starting to fade a pinkish purple color and you knew for a fact it would soon give away to the dark black of night. Leon seemed to have noticed you looking to the horizon and so turned his head to to look at the slowly setting sun. You glanced at him from the corner of your eye. The taller man smiling, and the light reflecting in his eyes enhancing the gold coloring and for a lil bit making it look like he had cold coins for eyes. And you couldn't help but watch-
"Hm..Getting kinda late...Hey, you lot, why not have some dinner?," Sonia suggested pointing a finger, "You must be hungry, right? I've been totally obsessed with making the latest trendy curries."
At the promise of food your stomach grumbled a bit and you were thankful for the hopeful gasping of the teens at the promise of Sonia's famous food Leon always talked about..but the Champion shook his head before turning back to Sonia. "Sorry, Sonia. As much as I would ADORE to have your curry, I promised Ma and Mrs. G I'd get the kids back home safely. And it's getting pretty late. If we want to get back by dark we'll have to leave now."
Sonia frowned a bit but nodded in understanding. "I can understand that. Want me to walk back with you guys." She smirked playfully. "Wouldn't want you somehow ending on top of a barn again."
"OH COME ON! It was one time!"
Sonia giggled and you decided to speak up. "It's alright. I can make sure he doesn't wonder off anywhere."
"Oh come on, Y/N! Not you too!"
Everyone shared a chuckle and it was decided you lot would head home for the night, bidding good bye to the Professor and starting on your way as the sun had set for the night. But not before the Professor told Hop and Gloria to come back tomorrow morning and get their new dynamax bands for them to use on their journeys very soon. The walk back to their homes was pretty uneventful, the sky got slowly darker and the two children were excitedly pointing out pokemon you could make out in the darkness with their glowing eyes. It was when you four were passing by the town's Pokemon Center is when he and Hop turned to go towards it, but not before Leon turned towards you.
"This is where I'll leave you two for the night," he explained while gesturing towards the center and Hop waiting for him, "I promised Hop we'd fix his team up before we got home."
"Are you sure you won't get lost going home? No offense," you asked him raising a brow and he nodded,
"Yeah. Hop can make sure I get there good enough, and if not I can always have Charizard fly us back home. What about you? Do you and Gloria wanna wait so I can walk you guys back?"
You thought for a moment tempted by the offer but seeing Gloria yawn and how dark it was, you held up a hand. "I think we'll be fine the rest of the way. I don't think I'd want Gloria's Mum to worry about her when it's gettin' dark. And I think I'm pretty tired too."
"I can understand that. You two have a safe trip back."
You nodded Gloria and you bidding the two brothers fair well, before walking the rest of the way home in setting light, Gloria excitedly telling you her captures of a wild Rookidee and Yamper earlier. By the time you both got to her house and inside it was dark, and Gloria's mother was already waiting for you two with dinner. Salads but you weren't surprised with her being a farmer and all in a farming community like Postwick, and you were hungry anyways so you gladly accepted the food offered to you and let Gloria ramble on about her day to her mother fishing out and flashing the official letter to her mother and on and on. She was real excited wasn't she? It was like a blur as you did the nightly routine of taking another shower and later curling back up on the couch with your Sobble curled up against you like a cat would, and you wondered briefly is Sobble was cold blooded and that's why it did it before dozing off for the night.....You know. You think you'd wake up from whatever dream this world was by now and just be on your way to college late in the morning....But no. Again you woke up but this time it was because of the smell of food in the air and your stomach grumbled for you to get up and eat. The sobble groggily chirping in surprise from you accidentally knocking him off the bed as you rose up rubbing at your eyes and your f/c hair all a mess in a bedhead. It smelt like more eggs. You were just blinking around tiredly, sighing at the sight of Gloria's living room when the smell became stronger. Whelp. Looks like you were still stuck here for the time being.
"Good Morning. I was wondering when you were going to wake up." You blinked your sluggish body over and standing there was Gloria's Mum, a plate with an omelet on it. Oh. Well that explained the egg smell at least. She put it down on the coffee table in front of you as you began to fully wake up. "I trust you had a good sleep last night."
"Y-Yeah. *YYAAAWWWNN* Thanks," you mumbled reaching for the food. "What time is it?"
"It's about ten in the morning. Gloria left with Hop a while ago. They said they wanted to try and catch some more pokemon and battle some of the neighborhood kids before they leave tomorrow for the Opening Ceremony, but after all you did yesterday for them I told her to let you rest further."
....OH! That's right! In the game your journey truly begins when the player and Hop leave for the opening ceremony in ..Motostoke you think?? To officially register into the Gym Challenge. So you nodded. "Oh. Yeah. Thanks."
You sat there and ate the omelet for a bit, your Sobble climbing back up onto the couch with a small frown from being tossed over and gave you a chirp to let you know about it. Oops. You should probably remember to not knock him off again. After eating you did what you usually did around here and grabbed your things to go change in the bathroom. During the time you were in there, you didn't here the doorbell ring or see Gloria's Mum happily let in the two people on the other side, and all of a sudden there was a loud commotion which caught your attention
You blinked surprised at the Champion waiting for you. "Leon. What are you doing here?" Your eyes then blinked down towards the boy next to him. He looked awfully familiar. Your hand pointed at him. "And who's this?"
The boy seemed to blink at you too confused but Leon only smiled widely. "Oh this? Y/n, this is Vic-"
"IT'S VICTOR!!" The boy blinked and barely had time to react before a brown haired blur tackled him.
"UGH!?" Victor waved his arms around to try and keep balance as his sister tackled him into a hug, but gravity won out and the two eventually fell to the ground. "OOF!!"
You stared at the young boy smiling at you. ...THIS WAS VICTOR?! The name of the male avatar that you could pick in the game if you didn't chose Gloria to play instead. Looking at the young boy he still looked the same age as Gloria and Hop even if he was a little taller than his twin. How did you not recognize it sooner? He had the same dark brown hair and light brown eyes as his sister and if they had the same haircut they would've looked the exact same (other than Victor's slightly taller height). He wore a grey beanie like hat, a red shirt with some logo on it, jeans, brown shoes, and carried what might as well been a giant suit case on his back. And a polaroid camera was slung in a similar fashion around his neck as he smiled at you. Gloria seemed very happy to see him as she excitedly gestured to him.
"Can you believe it!? After a whole year the mysterious photographer finally appeared after disappearing without a trace," she teased making her twin roll his eyes.
"It's nice to know you nah changed," he grunted in an Scottish accent similar to hers before pushing her off him and getting back up, hands dusting himself off, "I wanted to surprise you before the gym challenge started, but I wasn't expectin' ta come back to so much." He turned back to you with a smile. "Greetings! Ye must be the new friend Lee told me about. Thanks for saving her sorry butt from the Slumbering Wield. I always knew she'd get into trouble sooner or later without me."
"HEY!" A frown came over her face as she pouted. "I don't get into THAT much trouble! Besides I got out without a problem didn't I?"
He chose to ignore that and you took the chance to talk. "Nice to meet you too. Are you here for the Gym Challenge?"
He opened his mouth to answer before another new voice answered for him, "Of course he is!" All five of you turned and weren't surprised to find Hop standing there also smiling at Victor. "Hey, Mate! Long time no see! You're in luck! Lee was gonna leave soon!"
"Really?," Victor asked blinking.
Hop nodded. "Yep! But you got here just in time! Lee agreed to endorse us all for the challenge!"
"Say wot?"
"Yeah! Don't worry! You caught us in the middle of heading out to get our dynamax bands from Professor Magnolia! There's an extra Wishing Star so I'm sure she'd be happy to make you one no problem!"
Victor continued to stare at him for a moment before giving a nervous chuckle and forced smile which made you blink. "Oh...Really now? How..n-nice."
Leon also nodded. "That's right!" Before he paused blinking and hummed. You watched as the Champion reached a hand up to rub his neck looking at the three teenagers in front of him before looking back to you (or more specifically the sobble on your shoulder who chirped and tilted his head at Leon-) before his brows creased in a worried way. "But..that may be a problem?"
"What is it, Lee?"
"Well I can certainly make sure Victor has that endorsement letter and his dynamax band, but it's the lack of a starter pokemon that concerns me." He gave a worried grimace. "It's customary to give a new trainer their own beginner pokemon before they go off on their first adventure. Usually that wouldn't be a problem since I did bring three pokemon for all of you but-..." His golden eyes flickered back to the sobble who again chirped. "I can't just ask for a pokemon back after I just gave it to someone. ..*sigh* This is a sure problem."
"Doesn't Sonia have more?," Hop asked raising a brow, "I thought Professors always made sure to have extra starter pokemon in case they run into the problem of too many trainers."
"They do, but the problem is getting them in time for the trainers especially if something like the Gym Challenge is around the corner."
"So what you're saying is that.." Victor spoke slowly looking towards Leon, "That I can't compete in the challenge because I don't have a starter pokemon."
"Not at all!," Leon smiled once again much to Victor's surprise before jabbing his thumb behind him back towards the road. "I'm pretty sure Sonia's got at least one more extra pokemon ready for you to take along with you. We can stop by the lab and pick 'em up on the way to Professor Magnolia."
"Yeah!," Gloria added grabbing her twin by the arm and tugging on him, "Then we can do a lil trainin' an' ye can tell us all about your wee trip over lunch!"
"Oh...how wonderful," Victor mumbled but allowed his sister to pull him away towards the road back up towards Wedgehurst station.
"Why don't you children go ahead and I'll fix up lunch before you come back?" You blinked as Mrs. G turned and gestured back towards the kitchen. "If I want to have enough for everyone I'd better start now."
"Would you like some help?," you offered as everyone was more interested in Victor's return than you at the moment. "Can't say I'm the best at cooking but it'd be rude if I didn't lend a hand."
''Well thank you, Y/n. Thanks really nice of you to offer." She gestured for you to follow her inside. "Come with me and I'll show you were everything's set up."
