Another successful readsgiving! I finished 10 books over the fall break from school, though I made a good effort at my eleventh but I just couldn't stay up past my bedtime last night 馃し馃徏

Of course!
4. What sections of the bookstore do I browse?
This is difficult because I don't often visit bookstores anymore. I'll answer from a digital bookstore perspective.
I will usually visit fantasy and scifi sections, to see if anything new tickles my fancy. I will also look at what books are available there by authors I know I like. Then I might check on young adult or graphic novels. I'll look through the nonfiction sections by subject but only for books to add to my libby tbr. Finally, if there is a classic or literary novel I know I want but only for a decent price, I will look there.
6. What books have I read in the last month?
@apileofgoodthings11 also asked me this so I'm tagging her too.
I've finished 28 books in the last month (this includes readsgiving where I read as much as I can over my Thanksgiving break: 14 books this year!) So this is by no means my average. Instead of telling you all the titles, I'll highlight some standouts.
I read the 12 and final tradeback of Deadly Class, a comic about a school for assassins in the 80 but is really a commentary on growing up and loyalty and being punk rock, etc. It was a satisfying ending to the whole series and the art was stellar as always. It's not a series for everyone, quite violent and sexual, but I highly enjoyed it.
Gallant by VE Schwab, this authors writing floors me everything. The creativity, her voice, her ability to craft a world, it makes me want to be a better writer. I've loved all of the books I've read of hers and this standalone was no different, a little Gothic inspired so that didn't hurt either. Definitely recommend.
Hide by Kiersten White, I feel like I've watched this author grow since the first book I read of hers. This was a newish genre for her, horror and I enjoyed the premise and the characters. The twist was interesting and the characters that survived had me rooting for them all the way. Though, there were some weirdly political parts realistic to today and I think a commentary on the privileged class which the book targets, still the closeness to reality may not be for everyone.
7. Is there a series or book that got me into reading?
I always say that reading is like breathing to me so there isn't one in particular that stands out. I remember reading a lot of magic school bus books when I was younger, I loved the imagination aspect combined with the learning. Harry Potter is a series I remember getting into early when a lot of my other books were standalones. Though I did enjoy the Bailey school kids adventures, I don't remember them as a series so much as a premise that held them together.
