So, in regards to Hondo in Skeleton Crew since it's something I keep seeing people ask about: it was confirmed that he won't be appearing. Here's the specific bit from the article:
I’ve seen speculation that a live-action Hondo Ohnaka will appear in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. True or false? –Corey A freighter resembling Hondo’s was spotted in the distance at Port Borgo in Episode 2, but series creators Chris Ford and Jon Watts confirmed for me that we won’t be meeting the Clone Wars pirate. “We’ll rip off that Band-Aid and say no, we don’t have any Hondo,” Ford told TVLine. “Honestly, we love Hondo, but there wasn’t really a part in our story that offered a good enough role for him. Like, if we were trying to cast him in this, he would be like, ‘This part is not big enough for Hondo!'” Which is not to say Skeleton Crew, in success, won’t ever feature the interstellar buccaneer. “We would love to keep doing this,” Ford said, “and keep exploring the whole pirate side of the galaxy, and build up to that.”
There's always the chance they could be lying, but considering the wording, I don't think they are. But! He is coming in the next dlc for Star Wars Outlaws! No exact release date yet, sometime in spring. If you haven't played it yet, I highly recommend it.
Now on a side note, something else I've seen a lot of people ask/say in regards to Hondo showing up in media set after Rebels: isn't he already super old/dead/etc? Long story short, no. Short story long because I'm autistic and don't know when to shut up under the read more:
If you were somehow unaware (hoping that doesn't come off as judgmental, it's more of a surprised thing I swear!), he's actually a part of Galaxy's Edge aka "the Star Wars land" at Disneyland/Disney World, which is supposed to take place in between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker (so about 34 ABY). Or at least it was initially, they've been kind of loosening it up lately, but the two rides (Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, the latter of which Hondo is basically the star of) are still in that specific time range. So he's not dead nor is he going to die in anything set before the sequels (but then again, "Hondo Ohnaka survives every time", could be the Force keeps bringing him back to life to fuck with everyone).
In Legends, the approximate lifespan for his species (Weequay) was about 90 years of age. There's been no word on whether this is still canon or it's been made longer, but if it is still canon, it does give us an idea of how old he was in the various eras. If we're to assume he's somewhere between 80 to 85 years of age in 34 ABY (Lando, who he's shown to be on good terms with in issue 4 of the Halcyon Legacy comic, is 77/78 years in 34 ABY for reference), that would make him:
Between 25 to 30 years old when he's first introduced in The Clone Wars
Between 42 to 47 years old when he's first introduced in Rebels
And last but not least, between 55 to 60 years old in 9 ABY, which is (supposedly) when The Mandalorian/Skeleton Crew/etc takes place
Somewhere in the middle is most likely, since the younger estimate would put him at only 14 years old in 32 BBY (during The Phantom Menace), but 17 to 19 years old isn't that wild considering what we've seen older kids/teenagers deal with in this franchise. It's not completely unrealistic that someone with a background like his would be just starting off leading a group of pirates in his late teens.
Anyway, what's he been up to since Rebels? He actually founded his own Totally Legitimate Shipping Company, Ohnaka Transport Solutions, sometime in between 1 ABY and 4 ABY prior to the Battle of Endor. It's currently (as in, 34 ABY currently) based in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, though whether it was always there is unknown. Also at some point he got himself a ship that he named the Katooni...yes, like that Katooni. In fact, it's the one mentioned in the above interview about Hondo appearing in Skeleton Crew, so in a sense, he might have already had a indirect cameo!
Sources for most of this/recommended reading: Pirate's Price, The Secrets of the Bounty Hunters, and Halcyon Legacy #4. If you're looking for Hondo content outside the shows, read these. Especially Pirate's Price if you've always wondered what it'd be like if Han and Hondo met. And as previously mentioned, Halcyon Legacy #4 has him with (the real) Lando.
#hondo ohnaka#skeleton crew#star wars#oh god why is this so long. i didn't mean it to be this long#i haven't even reblogged any skeleton crew stuff yet!#i love it though!

And a guide: -In no way these are my recommendations, I actually unrecommend a certain book here, my recommendations list can be found here. this one is the Wookiepedia list just less confusing (I hope) -She isn't a main character in all of these. At all. And some are just cameos, I didn't get into specifics about that. -Most of the canon books & short stories can be found in e-book/digital form, or in physical copies pretty easily, just look them up. -The same thing that goes for the canon books goes for the canon comics, although most of the issues listed are part of a series (as might be evident by their numbers). That doesn't mean you need to read the rest, because they're pretty stand-alone and usually just reference the other issues of the series/have a framing story related to that. -I'm not sure where you can find the Star Wars Insider issue or the Adventures Ashcan, sorry about that. -The Legends list is much more complicated than canon, since anything related to The Clone Wars series may contradict the prior Legends media. That's why I marked those in bold, as they are only officially part of that timeline, and don't make much sense with the rest of it (most of it, other than the actual episodes, were mostly de-canonized when Disney bought Star Wars with the rest of Legends). -There are ofc the original printings of those, but I also I believe most of the Legends books listed were reprinted as a part of the Legends brand, but if they weren't then idk what to tell you. -The Legends comics were also reprinted, mostly in big, pretty expensive collections. So it might be harder to buy those. I think there are digital copies of those collections, though, so you can buy them for cheaper that way. -The Clone Wars webcomics can be found here , through @clonewarsarchives (a great resource overall) -The short TCW stories (in bold under short comic story) can all be found here (once again through clone wars archives) -The Restraint short story can't be found anywhere I looked, only in the 2nd printing of Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter. One of 2 things on the Legends list I've yet to read. -The Dark Heart short story was originally published online, so it's here legally (link straight from Wookiepedia I sure hope it's legal). -I have no idea how to get to the Graphic Novels normally but I trust they're on eBay and co. -I've only talked about legal options but obviously, there's more. Act with discretion and I'm not posting links like that here. I might be able to help more through DMs but you know.

Me creating MASKS characters before reading comics: This is my Legacy character, he’s a werewolf only he has the superman power set, so he flies and shoot lasers out of his eyes.
Me creating MASKS characters after reading comics: So, this character was first introduced in the A City Without Heroes event which ran concurrent with the Death Games crossover event where all the superheroes of Halcyon City got kidnapped and forced to participate to participate in the space hunger games...

OC : Orgus Carsen-Halcyon
Earlier, I introduced you to Bela Senya Carsen-Halcyon and Tasiele Beniko two characters from a sort of "Future AU" to my Halcyon Legacy.
This is Bela's brother, Orgus.
His full name is Orgus Fideltin Carsen-Halcyon. He is (obviously) the son of Corellan Halcyon and Kira Carsen. (His middle name is for Rusk, in case you didn't pick up on that.)
He's about two years younger than Bela, and although he technically had the same Force potential, his personality was radically different.
Corellan and Kira tried to raise to raise their children free to choose their own lives. In regards to the Force, and everything else.
In Bela's case, she chose the Alliance, and an approach to the Force that most closely resembled the Zakuulan Knights. Except instead of serving the Throne, she served a series of principles.
In Orgus' case, he said "oh f*ck no" and ran the hell away. Not because Kira and Corellan pressured him, but because he felt pressured by everything else. I rolled him up as as a smuggler since it fit him better than anything else. He wound up attaching himself to Nico Okarr for awhile, who at this point is almost 130 years old, and still hasn't aged a day. At some point, young Orgus leaves his lightsaber behind and gets himself some cybernetic implants, as you can see.
He was - in part - inspired by the Legends character of Cade Skywalker.
The Star Wars : Legacy story was an interesting concept - let's flash-forward a hundred years to see how the descendants of Luke, Han and Leia deal with a new Sith-run Galactic Empire. Except the main protagonist, Cade, is in no mood to be a hero, having lost his father and most of his friends years earlier during another Jedi purge. From there, he became a drug-addicted bounty hunter and smuggler and all-around not nice guy. The comic basically covered his long path to finally deciding to take up the mantle the Force had shoved down his throat.
(Today - unfairly - the Legacy story is mostly known for Darth Talon’s aesthetic, because... well, you can draw your own conclusions.)
I wasn't even into the series when it originally ran, but I liked the concept of a young character running away from the mantle of 'hero'. Orgus is fortunate that his sister was more than willing to snatch that mantle for herself. Both of them face difficulties along the way.
I don't know if I'll ever actually write their story. As I said, I basically consider it a "Future AU" at the moment.
But I wanted to share it with you.
Thanks for reading.

I did finish a book (but it was a jedi apprentice one), I read the week's comics and got caught up on the ones I was behind on, watched the TV shows I intended to, watched a film. But didn't read a short story or do any gaming. Most of the points were from comics. I'm gonna try and start alphabet squadron this week.
Feck a New Year's resolution I'm resolutioning now
I've seen @gffa 's yearly reading resolution recently (idk how I came across it in November but whatever) and been inspired but feck waiting until January I'm starting now. I read so much star wars stuff last year but nowhere near as much this year. And I like the point system cos it gives my little neurodivergent brain dopamine
Point System
Comic Issue: 1 point
(I feel like a comic issue is a good baseline since there's normally a few out every week)
(A whole book is harder to quantify so I'm gonna go for chapters instead since I'm more likely to read a chapter than a set amount of pages (I'd always finish the chapter)
Book Chapter: 1 point
(I feel like those two are comparable)
(I also have a few video games I need to finish)
Video Game Mission (or roughly equivalent): 2 points
(it's taking a lot of self control not to just throw everything I want to do like cooking and stretching on here. Maybe if this goes well I will)
TV Show Episode (only for ones I'm actually trying to get through and pay attention to the episode): 1 point
My Goal
I'd like to bare minimum get through the star wars comics that release on Marvel Unlimited every week
Ideal goal though (although I may adjust in future)
5 comic issues (5 points)
1 whole book (40 points is gonna be my guess)
2 video game missions (4 points)
14 TV episodes (14 points) (ik this seems like a lot but I watch TV every night with family and I typically actually pay attention so)
Total: 63 points

Asajj Ventress merch/thing I need (I went down a merch and figures rabbit hole)
Also rating some of them and giving them funny names. I should sleep
Starting off strong: This specific Star Wars: Halcyon Legacy #3 variant cover. I don't the way she looks in the comic itself but this. This drives me insane. 9/10
Funny haha Legends book with realistic Asajj edit on the cover. Because. You see. Obsessed with the way she looks here. Star Wars: Jedi Trial btw. 7/10 I don't like Anakin (I've never read this book)
Star Wars: Hyperspace stories #5 but this variant. She's such a wet cat in the comic itself and that's why I need it but this cover is a whole separate other thing I need because it stops my breathing for a moment. 11/10 bc Dooku my bestie ever is here
Ventrego from Set 75087 apparently is pretty self-explanatory I think
Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars Asajj Ventress Lords of The Sith 1/6 Scale, aka the astatue She looks so polite
Star Wars Clone Wars Action Figure Comic 2-Pack Dark Horse: Republic #69 Asajj Ventress and Tol Skorr, the one involving gay sex, not sure how. 15/10 and 5/10 because of the number and because Skorr is there and I hate Skorr
2010 Asajj Ventress Skate Finger Board McDonalds Star Wars and this one has Cad Bane and Grievous too but specifically the Asajj one and I don't know how I don't have this already/Ventresskateboard 3452261/10
Star Wars Clone Wars 2010 Asajj Ventress CW15, Love just how many figures they made at the time TCW was coming out, and she's just cool, I love her skirt, and it comes with a Dooku 12331/10
Star Wars The Black Series Clone Wars Asajj Ventress 6-Inch AF By HASBRO, Best figure quality, and I need to know if she can pose with her legs bc that skirt looks tight
Star Wars Asajj Ventress 3.75” Figure 2005 Jedi Vs Sith Battle Pack Clone Wars HER SKIRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Ventresstrillion/10
Star Wars The Clone Wars Asajj Ventress Loose 2003 Hasbro, and it's the cloak she's so perfect
Give me Star Wars Galactic Heroes Clone Wars Sith Asajj Ventress or give me death at this point honestly she's just too perfect Ventressbazzilion/10
Best one and one I can least realistically get my hand on on this list, Asajj Ventress Mythos Statue - Star Wars sideshow. Forever jealous of anyone that will have this. It should've been ME.
Star Wars Clone Wars Asajj Ventress Cartoon Network Hasbro 2005, because, again, Skirtress excellence and I think about this specific figure a lot 18/10
STAR WARS Micro Galaxy Squadron Light Armor Class ASAJJ VENTRESS’S GINIVEX Starf is a 10/10 because the ship itself is gorgeous but you can also put Asajj IN the ship what more can you ask for (had a dream about this one. didn't end well but I need this one)
Not sure why this Star Wars The Clone Wars Asajj Ventress Bust is sleeveless but I kinda like it idk 9/10
Older Ventrego with the Lego Clone Wars face aka I'm obsessed with Lego Asajj aka she's from set 66395 I'm 99% sure No skirt but it's still a 8/10
Star Wars Legion Asajj Ventress Operative Expansion, I love buying figures for games I don't play. She would never see real action with me.
Shoutout to Star Wars Miniatures Asajj Ventress 27 Clone Strike with Card WOC Mini I can not believe how many figures this cat has. 7/10
Back to comics, Star Wars: Obsession #5 because this cover is about me and I'm also in love with this comic 11/10
Star Wars: Republic #60. The most beautiful girl in the world. Ky Narec. Obi-Wan and Alpha-17. Origin story issue. big fan 1424354/10 but you can't get it for a normal price as a single issue you gotta look for the collections
Lastly, Star Wars Unleashed 7" Inch Statue Figure ASAJJ VENTRESS Hasbro 2005. This woman never had a good day in her entire life. I need her. Skirt 10/10
#asajj ventress#ventress#sw#star wars#good night!#this is all about positivity guys#positivity in my inability to sleep amiright#i'm so sorry#aotc artbook with all her concept art counts as one of these but I've already ordered it for my birthday so like yeah#the clone wars#tcw#star wars figures#action figures#hasbro#star wars legion#star wars lego#the force unleashed#star wars comics#star wars legends#can't stop thinking about the one with her ship#a work of art#this is just a silly compilation but I did look up the proper names so if you're looking for any of those those ARE their names#one day#one day i'll have an asajj collection#it's possible#tbh the skateboard is the most affordable but the ship just haunts me#i really do need it#it calls to me

Star Wars: The Halcyon Legacy (2022) Star Wars: Kanan (2015) I love it when the High Republic Jedi are teaching the exact same things as the prequels Jedi, like, you can find a dozen examples of Obi-Wan teaching Anakin to control his emotions, to get a lid on things after Anakin has nearly brought down the training room ceiling on their heads or whatever, but it struck me just how identical these two moments were, that it’s the same exact lesson. And for people who can light others on fire with the power of their mind, for people who are connecting to a psychic energy field that is literally dependent on their thoughts and feelings, control over your emotions is absolutely vital, and ALL ERAS OF THE JEDI HAVE SAID: GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER BEFORE YOUR SHIT GETS WRECKED.
