Arianna is definitely one of my favorite characters from the webcomic, Castoff. I wanted to draw her magic and after a few sketches, this one ended up being the one I finished. If you haven’t heard of Castoff, it is an incredible webcomic series that you should definitely read, made by @thestarfishface ! Go check it out, this series is extremely underrated.

I’m a little late but happy Inktober 5th

The list I’m using is this so I’m sorry if you use a different one, also I’m allowing myself to use pencil underneath and I’m going to try for everyday but no promises. This is my first Inktober and I thought it fit with it being my first year on tumblr!

The prompt was “maps” so here’s some fan art of Frankie from @castoff-comic by @thestarfishface if you don’t get the context, go read the comic. But what you need to know is that he if a cartographer who’s maps got ruined so now he has to replace them all. Now go read the comic,

Fanart of Frankie from @thestarfishface 's webcomic Castoff! I discovered it via the her YouTube and fell in love. Not only is the art absolutely gorgeous, the backgrounds and facial expressions especially (seriously, Star encapsulates joy and anger and terror so well, as well as other emotions that are too numerous to name), but the characters are so charming and fun to read about, and the story is one of the most engaging things I've read in a while. The thing surrounding Arianna and Zera has gotten me hyped on several occasions, and I'm very excited to see where that goes. Frankie is so endearing and my favorite character in the whole comic. He's just so cheerful and nice and is the kind of person I'd wanna spend the day with, and I just absolutely love it when he shows up on the page because his presence is strangely comforting to me. Vector comes in at a close second, I just wanna hug him and be friends with him. Arianna is cool and definitely not someone to trifle with, along with the whole thing I mentioned above. Her personality is by far the most interesting, outwardly prickly and hesitant to create and admit attachments due to trauma. I've only made it to chapter 11, but I'm really excited to read on and see where it goes. Please, I beg of you, check out Castoff and Star's YouTube channel, you will not regret it.
