Growing up in Metro Detroit with Parents who were teens when Motown was at it’s Height (note: hey youngsters on my feed, whatever you Music you are into when you are a teen will stick with for the rest of your life, or at least have a special place to you after that imprinting happens, so try to make sure it’s cool, because it’ll stick with you) Anyhow, yes all of our folks loved Motown and so at every Barbeque, Family get together, weddings, time on the boats etc etc whatever, Motown was a staple of where I grew up. It was a Metro Detroit consistent presence.

Here is one of my Fave Motown acts. And the Bass in this track in particular (played by the genius late bassist James Jamerson) and it is Amazing! So good! I also always really dug how Levi almost shouts his lines in this track. And that is Passion. It really all works so well.

In my world, that’s where I hit the canvas hard with the paint. There’s nothing subtle about it. And it always has that great effect! It always translates. So take that as a lesson in whatever it is you're doing... Passion always equates to intensity... and in art (as well as life) that is never a bad thing, or at least I have found.
