I know this is random but i love and agree with your tags on my "You know what pisses me off in RE:ID end" post, and I'm glad someone agrees that that show was strange in some ways (and abt Claire been forgot for the half the series)

I love Claire so much and it felt REALLY disappointing that she was shoved aside for Leon to be cool and epic instead. I love Leon a lot, but he felt meh in the series too and it just felt crap that more focus was on him when I thought Claire's storyline was actually more interesting and felt more like resi! IF THEY ACTUALLY DID ANYTHING WITH HER, THAT IS!

Just... Whatever I could deal with a crap story cause it was only a couple of episodes after all, but making Leon and Claire fight? And the way they fight!? Just feels like a kick in the teeth.

rant about Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness incoming. Yes, I’m spoiling the ending.

(Before you ask: no, I didn’t finish RE4. I just got sick and tired of keeping myself waiting, so I watched the show.)

What the hell did they do to Claire... making all these stupid decisions? And the ending! My GOD, the ending! 

First off, RIP Shen May and Jason. Yall got introduced at the beginning of the ‘movie’ and were both just slaughtered by the end. /shrug Secondly, what in the absolute fuck was that end scene?! They ACTUALLY pulled that shit trope of ‘A and B aren’t going to talk / ask about something that CLEARLY should be talked about, and this leads to a (pointless) misunderstanding and fallout between them’ . What?!  These two know each other! Trust each other! What the hell was that last scene?! Claire just gets upset because Leon doesn’t hand over the evidence (and, for no reason at all, he doesn’t give her the reason for it, and SHE DOESN’T ASK?!)! And she just storms off in a huff? She knows him well enough that it’s not like he got paid off by the government to not let her have it! She HAS to know there’s another (and a damn good) reason that he denied her! She just has to ask.

This ending is making me lose my mind... I’m putting Pretending on loop while I pace and yell to nobody in particular over this. This is BULLSHIT. Complete nonsense. Why split them up? This ending makes no damn sense!

Edit: GameRant’s article about the ending has a different take, but I don’t believe they’re right.. Here: “Claire, who works for the human rights group TerraSave, wants to get the chip’s information into the public’s hands, but Leon refuses to hand over the chip. This is probably due to Leon’s deep allegiance to the White House — specifically to President Graham, who made him an agent after the events of Resident Evil 4 and his rescue of Graham’s daughter, Ashley. He knows that news of a high-ranking official in the White House conspiring to make bioweapons would damage the U.S’ reputation. The decision shocks Claire, who realizes the Leon she met in Resident Evil 2 has changed drastically in the years they’ve spent apart.“

Somewhat plausible, but I’m still very, very doubtful. I still think it was Leon considering Jason’s final words that held him back. I refuse to believe that Leon would be ok hiding the evidence away completely. Maybe he’s changed, but not to the extent that he’d put his position at the White House over humanity. That isn’t him. I know it.
