1.Can you describe your partner in three words?

Fawn: oh I've got two partners...fiddlesticks, give me a minute!

Shiloh: full of himself.

Alan: She's so independent.

Fawn: Okay! For Claire, she's smart, understanding and focused. Leon is charming, sweet and....dog-like?

Shiloh: The hell Fawn? Dog-like? seriously?

Fawn: .....Is that technically two words?

Alan:.....Does it not count since it's two words?

Shiloh: The hell should I know??

2. How did you meet your partner?

Fawn: In a police department building. He was a cop and I was in a cell.

Shiloh: Context Fawn! context!

Fawn: What do you mean?

Shiloh: It sounds like you flirted with him to get outta prison.

Fawn: I-I wasn't imprisoned for any crime! It was because I was gonna be um...offed by the chief.

Shiloh: I met my....partner in Spain. He kind of just followed me like a lost stray. -rolls her eyes-

Alan: I was shot down by her while I was in my helicopter and she almost killed me. -smiles-

Shiloh: The fuck?

Fawn: Should I be concerned?

3. What is your partner’s biggest passion or hobby?

Fawn: Um....Claire loves her motorcycles, she races them, and even can fix some depending on the brand. -Thinks-

Shiloh: Aside from science and research, Luis enjoys reading. The fucker has a whole office of books in his apartment. He's very much into mythology and fairytale like stories the most....yeah, it's not all true, but the tales are exciting to him.

Fawn: Aww, do you like seeing him excited over those books?

Shiloh: S-Shut up....I'm just glad it shuts him up. You also forgot to answer about Leon's hobbies or passions....if the dork even has any.

Fawn: Oh right! Leon's into photography.

Shiloh:.....He's into photography??? Are you serious?

Fawn: -nods- he likes taking pictures of nature and cities....he likes being able to remember the good times ya know.

Alan: I don't know where to begin for Inez. But her biggest passion is her children. Her hobbies outside of missions and her kids....surprisingly she enjoys quilting by hand, because she's used to being stabbed.

4. What’s one quirk or habit your partner has that makes you smile?

Fawn: Claire holds my hand a lot when we're at the bar. Mostly to let people know I'm taken....it's really nice to feel wanted. Oh! And Leon tries to dance with me....even though he can't dance to save his life.

Shiloh: He can't dance?

Alan: I would've thought that Kennedy boy knew how to dance? I mean look at his hair.

Fawn: N-No....he's so shy about bringing that up. When I told him I danced a lot, I specialize in disco. When he learned I loved dancing....he admitted he didn't know how. i'm still teaching him. -smiles-

Shiloh: Pfftt, Luis ALWAYS 'monitors' his and my house whenever I'm visiting or he's visiting, always looking at the windows and doors. It's become a bit of a habit....he says he's always trying to make sure we're safe when we talk or hang out. It's sweet....in it's own overly protective kind of way I guess?

Alan: Inez writes down my favorite things.....she always puts it into her 'remember' book. It's a book she has to remember important things about people in her life.....I thought it was odd....till i realized how important it is to her to make sure everyone around her is happy. The stressfulness of being an agent and a single mother makes it hard for her to remember stuff that's why she has that book. She does so hard for everyone around her. I really appreciate that about her.

5. How does your partner handle stress or tough situations?

Fawn: Claire tries to play it cool and calmly. Leon does the same thing, but he does this thing where he constantly brushes his hands through his hair....or he drinks sometimes.

Shiloh: -sighs- Luis laughs it off. Smiles through it. He's kind of a hard optimistic kind of guy.

Alan: Inez is very quiet, she sometimes forgets to respond to me when I talk to her. She usually blocks the stress out and work it out later I'm assuming.

6. What is your partner’s favorite way to spend a weekend?

Fawn: Claire likes leaving to travel on her motorcycle finding a small town or city she's never been to. And spending her weekend in motels or hotels..she says it's like leaving her life behind for just a few days.

Shiloh: There'll be weekends where Luis won't respond to me or call, because he decided to binge read...sometimes he forgets to eat when he's reading. I have to go over to his place and make sure he does.

Alan: Inez loves spending time with her kids. When she's not able to do that, she tends to be working on her garden, or if it's cold...she's often working on her quilting.

7. What is one thing your partner does that you admire?

Fawn: Claire's thing is her ability to keep going, even if the odds are against her. She's so cool like that. -hums- As for Leon, when he's sleeping he does this...thing where he clings to whatever he's holding....it could be his blanket or pillow....it's so adorable.

Shiloh: So....you admire Claire's confidence....and Leon's cuteness?

Fawn: -nods her head- Yup. What about you Shy?

Shiloh: -Sighs- If you can say that about Leon, then for Luis....it's when he's getting frustrated over something he can't control. -smirks-

Fawn: Like....?

Shiloh: Like when he doesn't have the answer to everything. -snickering-

Alan: For Inez, it's when she's able to multitask, she once was on the phone while preparing dinner and she even had time to finish the crossword! I've never met a woman who could do that before.

Shiloh: you're impressed with a crossword?

Alan: yes....she's such a great woman. -smiling-

8. How do you and your partner communicate?

Fawn: This will take a while, um, Claire and I tend to talk the most. Like once we start talking we can't....Leon often has to step in if we've been at it for multiple hours....or sometimes he joins in.

Shiloh: I usually have to message Luis to quit staying up all night. We're well social wise? -shrugs-

Alan: We talk frequently on the phone, but whenever I'm busy, she leaves sticky notes in my office or my kitchen whenever she stops by to deliver me lunch or dinner. or buys me groceries....I do shopping for her too....but she insists I ask her before hand cause I forget what the kids are allowed to eat. I remember I bought junk food cause kids like ice cream.....Inez was thankful I was thoughtful, but she got frustrated that the kids had sugar rushes....so I can't buy anything with sugar or is processed or--

Shiloh: Alan, nobody wants to hear you talk about groceries.

Alan: Oops....sorry.

9. What is your partner’s favorite memory with you?

Claire: My favorite memory with Fawn? Gee, that's a toughie.

Leon: What about that picnic? -looks to Claire-

Claire: Maybe, let's see, it was before 2003, she and I went to the store. We were doing window shopping, she kept staring at this doll. I asked her what was wrong? She said she never got that many toys when she was a kid and never got a chance to play with the other girls with their dolls.

Leon: She didn't?

Claire: No, so I bought her a custom doll after finding out what type she wanted, surprised it to her for her birthday. -smiles- What about you Leon?

Leon:....I guess it was after i came back from that Krauser mission in 2002.....I....she was waiting for me at the airport during my time off. It felt like something out of a movie.....-looks away-

Luis: ALRIGHT, My turn everyone~ -smirks-

Inez: you have no patience do you Serra?

Luis: Nope, not me. -chuckles- My favorite moment with Shiloh was when she first told me she was attracted to me.

Leon: To this day I still wonder how that's possible.

Claire: Leon shh.

Luis: It was after a long night at the lab, she was in nothing but a trench--

Shiloh: YOU FUCKING DICK THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO STAY BETWEEN YOU AND ME YOU LITTLE--*Getting dragged away from Fawn and Alan to go back to the other room*

Inez: -sighs- Now it's my turn. My favorite memory with Alan has to be when he was helping me with a bake sale for my kids school, I had no clue he was talented. The way he kept focused, his consideration for allergies and helping with the other parents during the sale. It made me feel like....I have someone who completely understands my goals for my children.

10. What are your partner's dreams or goals for the future?

-SWITCHING BACK TO THE MAIN CHARACTERS-

Fawn: Claire's would be to make the world a better place through Terrasave. As for Leon....it's to just do what he can to protect the innocent.

Shiloh: Something about getting us a Farm for us to live on? For some reason....he wants a damn donkey to name Dapple? -shrugs-

Alan: She wants to give her kids the best education possible.

11. Can you share a time when your partner surprised you?

Fawn: Claire once snuck into my bed.....with a container of ice cream.

Shiloh: WHY?

Fawn: She said she was bored and wanted ice cream but didn't wake me to ask if I wanted some.

Shiloh: What about Leon?

Fawn: He surprised me once when he joined her in the bed.

Shiloh:......You seriously surprised they didn't share?

Fawn: YES.

Shiloh: -sighs- Luis surprised me by actually being jealous of other guys. So seeing him irritated was hilarious.

Alan: I was surprised she didn't kill me when I fell out of that helicopter.

12. What do you think your partner values most in a relationship?

Fawn: Claire's is honesty, and Leon values our partnership.

Shiloh: My opinion.....sometimes.

Alan: Respect towards everyone she knows and loves.

13. If you could plan a perfect day for your partner, what would it look like?

Fawn: Well, I know we'd all love to go to one of those resorts? For just one day of relaxing and hanging out and having fun. That's how simple our perfect day is.

Shiloh: ......His would just be sleeping in, and a good coffee, oh....and cinnabons.

Alan: Taking Inez and her kids to the amusement park, I'm scared of rollercoasters....so maybe not those? and....mirror mazes...I had a bad experience with mirror mazes.

what does the chancellor look like?

gah im so sorry for leaving this to rot in my inbox for so long… chancellor be upon ye !

i imagine her having reddish hair. not sure what eye colour.. also, my awful grasp of historical fashion and Drawing Fabric does not show this particularly well but she has very extravagant outfits i think. lots of beautiful fabrics and fancy trim, very on-trend. (really she should be covering her hair as well but it's my anachronistic fantasy kingdom and i say. fringe and fuckass kerchief.) i'm not good with heights but she's probably like.. 5'4"ish? 5'3''? average height, or a bit shorter. overall, she gives off a vibe of being... not necessarily innocent or nonthreatening per se, but Nice. someone you could be pals with. chuckle goodnaturedly to about your awful serfs. lend a small favour to, if needed. you know.

they should have arrested me when I was in high school and got so obsessed with tolkien that I ended up planning out a 4 stage fic with something like 55 discreet oc's. 5 of whom designed specifically to fuck principal characters.

Does your OC find it easy to make friends? Or are there barriers to them doing so? If so then are these due to issues of inclination, communication, or something else entirely?

they’re not really situated to make friends atm—the colony at Glenwood has pretty much rejected them, so any passing borrower is wary of them based on reputation. Val would really like to reverse that rejection so has hyped themself into a mindset of being a Good, Rule-Following Borrower, so theyre hesitant to meet with humans even if they’re…not entirely as afraid of them as they’re supposed to be. so not a lot of people to hang around and befriend

aside from all that, and maybe their hesitancy to be vulnerable and honest, they make for friendly company

aww thank you so much for sending me questions!! 💜💙 i will definitely answer for henry - honestly, you're even reading my mind here because i was just telling myself the other day i should do more with him outside his role in the story. he's a fun character; i have a soft spot for him, too, and this is a good opportunity to dive into his personality and tastes a bit more 😅

🍤 what's their opinion on seafood?

he loves seafood! it's his favorite type of food, really, and if he were dying tomorrow and could have only one last meal, he'd want haemul kalguksu aka seafood noodle soup 🍽️

🥨 brunch picnic time with friends/partner(s)/companions/[insert your ocs' close people here]! what is your oc bringing?

i need to make a picnic post omg that would be so cute

anyway, the thing about henry is that he is comically bad at cooking 🙈 he and soobin have a mutually beneficial arrangement that she will do all the cooking, provided he does all the cleaning, so henry is never going to roll up to a picnic with homemade food, not unless you want burnt toast and very haphazardly chopped fruit.

however, what he *can* do well is make drinks. he's the kind of person who uses a french press and buys coffee that isn't ground up yet. he has high standards, that is. so, i think he'd show up to brunch with a variety of iced drinks, like coffee, tea, mocktails, etc., anything that keeps well in pitchers or kettles. he'd probably bring one of those letterboards, too, and use it as a daily drink menu sign!

🍜 do they love cooking dinner or would they rather eat somewhere else or order takeout?

for reasons (see above), he is not a fan of cooking! he's happy to, you know, set timers and measure out spices for soobin or someone else while they cook, but if it's just henry at home alone or soobin is either not in the mood or unable to cook, he is undoubtedly going out to eat or getting takeout. he'll go out to sit-down restaurants if soobin or a friend more generally are down to go with him (he's also not a fan of going to restaurants alone), but if no one is available or doesn't feel like it, he'll just get takeout.

5. What event brought them to their lowest, mentally? How did they act during this time?

Hmmm, well. I don't know that it was like, a single event, but I don't think she handled the transition from "you are literally constantly under someone else's control and your told your worth is non-existent" slavery to "unlimited freedom and all the luxuries you can get your hands on" Lord of Fortune lifestyle very well. It was a drastic and pretty sudden change, and I think it took her a few years to find the balance between constant, wild, excessive indulgence (which translated into a very unhealthy and party-heavy life style) and having literally zero self-agency or say in the things you do or the things that happen to you, and I think it took her a while to define what "Freedom" really means to her.

By the time we meet her in the game, I think she's done a lot of introspection and found that balance, and she's sort of mellowed out a little. She's able to feel comfortable with herself without having to Prove that she's "really free" in that same way

14. Think of the two people they are closest to. They can only save one. Who are they choosing?

hnnng guh. gauuhhhh. I really don't know how to answer this. I think, while she's super close to the whole Veilguard, as well as Isabela and Rowan, the two people she's closest too would be Lucanis and Harding. And man. I don't think she could do it, I really don't. I think she would go with Harding, but only because she believes Lucanis (and Spite) would be able to hold on for the tiny bit of time it would take her to come back for them (not that she doesn't also have faith in Harding, she just doesn't have a spirit in her head checking her blind spots)

also she basically does have to see this at the end of the game, except lydia can't save harding because ghilan'nain's got her and so she can only watch 🥲🥲🥹😭😭😭

his love language is definitely acts of service, but he responds best to physical affection. gods forbid he actually address his emotions

both rarely happen (he smirks more often than he smiles which is different. to me) but it's pretty unremarkable, it's just a little smile and his laugh is more like a "ha" or an amused exhale

Dec. 9 - What is it like for Carlisle to work as a doctor now versus back when he was alone?

Something was afoot when Carlisle pulled his Mercedes in the garage after work. It had been a day full of treating people with heat exhaustion in the ER, courtesy of the current heat wave making its way across the country. Given that most houses in this part of the country were built to hold in heat, many people were adversely affected. Fortunately, vampires weren't affected by high temperatures like humans were and their resident hybrid seemed to tolerate the heat well too.

But it seemed Emmett and Sydney cooked up a way to cope with the heat anyway. Carlisle caught their scents and heard them sneak up to the garage's side door and there was a curious sloshing noise. He knew he was walking right into something, but in these last seven years, he learned what it meant to truly play like a kid. He opened the door, bracing himself.

"Now!" Emmett shouted and he was promptly soaked to the bone by a pair of water guns. Emmett grinned and Sydney giggled madly while Carlisle wiped water out of his face.

"Hello to you too," he said.

"We're having a water gun fight, Daddy!" Sydney said.

"Are we?"

"Me, the kiddo, Edward, and Rosalie versus you, Esme, Alice, and Jasper," Emmett supplied. "Base camps are in the forest. Be there or be square!" With that, they took off running towards the house.

Carlisle shook his head, but he was grinning. Coming home to this was better than working himself figuratively to death and then coming home to an unbearably silent, empty house. Inside, Carlisle found Esme dressed in a bikini top and shorts sporting a pair of water guns. She handed one to him. "This is yours."

"Did we even have these before today?"

Esme laughed. "No. Emmett took Sydney on what was supposed to be a Home Depot run and came back with these instead."

"You should have known better than to send him on an errand."

Esme playfully swatted him. "Go change. You're dripping on the carpet."

Carlisle did as he was told and when he emerged from the house later with his water gun and dressed in a t-shirt and swim trunks, he heard Sydney in the backyard. He snuck up on her as she was refilling her water gun at the spigot. “Gotcha!” he exclaimed, grabbing her by the waist. 

“Daddy!” she shrieked, dropping her gun. The contents of the gun and the spigot spilled out on the dirt. She rounded on him with her hands on her hips in an almost Esme fashion. “I almost had it filled up! Edward said we shouldn’t waste finite resources.” 

“That’s funny, because he likes to take long hot showers himself,” Carlisle said drily. 

Sydney refilled her gun and shut off the spigot. “Does that make him a hippocampus?” 

Carlisle laughed. “I think you mean hypocrite. And yes, it does.” 

Sydney narrowed her eyes. “He’s on my team so I can’t get him for that.” 

“How about you switch to mine? Then you can.” 

She brightened. “Okay!” She reached out a tiny fist and Carlisle bumped it with his own to seal the deal.

thinking about the greatest thing I've ever been asked as a leonard mun ever that still frequently pops into my head and it was two years ago "do you think 1.3 would be transphobic"
