I just finished Duchesses and Other Animals and I LOVE Algernon Wasp so much. I was cursing him out as I looked for egrets in waist deep mud but his little “TACITUS” was so so so adorable. I love that man.

Yeah, we get to save Algernon Wasp from choking, but that's not enough for me. We should have had a mission where we got to bust a garden party and insult the Contessa on his behalf.

Part 6 of my Canon Rdr2 Horses - Tasha

As I said before, the time skip and the change to John was not easy for me. During the two epilogue chapters I didn't really focus on getting John a proper horse, instead I just bonded to wild horses to 4 to sell them for money, or I used Rachel.

But once the epilogue was done, I had the funds for a new fancy horses and decided to get the Silver Turkoman horse from the Tumbleweed stable. She was the first of my canon horses that I bought instead of stumbling over her somewhere and I loved her a lot because she was both pretty and very fast. Her name Tasha was short from Natasha.

I did a lot of collecting quests with her especially the ones for Algernon Wasp, and that's where she sadly met her end.

I was riding back to my camp, full gallop, did my usual full stop and jumped off her. But due to some cruel turn of faith, her leg got stuck on the grill next to my camp fire, and since she couldn't run away, she burned, faster than I could do anything. And because I didn't look behind me, I already started the going to sleep animation before I noticed what happened to her, so when John woke up again she was already dead, and the autosave already saved. At this point I hadn't manually saved in hours, and I just... wasn't gonna spent all those hours in the Swamp again to collect the feathers and Orchids.

Short mentioning of Clint, the roan Dutch Warmblood I had alongside Tasha for a a long time as my temporary horse. He was a very good boy but at some point I just needed the space in my stable so he had to go.

I WAS GOING FOR 100% COMPLETION IN MY THIRD PLAY THROUGH OF RDR2 AND I ONLY HAD TO COMPLETE TWO ALGERNON WASP MISSIONS AS ARTHUR AND THEN ID BE GOOD TO PLAY THE EPILOGUE RIGHT

I ACCIDENTALLY STARTED THE LAST MISSION WITHOUT FINISHING IT AND NOW ALL THOSE HOURS WENT TO WASTE IM FOAMING AT THE MOUTH

If anyone’s still struggling with this there’s a spot on the map that consistently has at least 2, I generally just put a camp near it and kill them, then sleep and repeat. Takes ages but at least you know there’ll always be some there.

I haven’t played rdr in a while and I have a very valid reason. ROSATE SPOONBILLS ARE BITCHES!!!! Yes I’m still doing duchesses and other animals, and yes I will never learn my lesson and get the birds beforehand. But THIRTY?!?!??! THIRTY OF THESE PINK FUCKS!!?? I have to pass literature, WHEN AM I SUPPOSED TO GET 30 SPOONBILLS?!???! FUCK THIS GAME!!
