I think Marxism is pretty pog, I'm by no means an expert but I am very politically active where I live. I grew up poor with my 2 siblings & my single disabled mum, we are ex-Jehovahs Witnesses (yes thats important). This has shaped a lot of my world view, I align myself with the marginalised & working class people of the world. I am heavily critical of capitalism, liberalism, nationalism & imperialism. If you have a problem with commies or anarchists, you probably won't like me. I hate fascists & I hate cops. I love my community tho & working together with anyone who wants to work toward a better world.

I am moderately able-bodied, but have mental disabilities. I don't wanna share all but I have autism, C-PTSD & chronic fatigue among many other things. I am a system, I hate syscourse, endo systems are welcome here, ableists demanding medical history are not.

no, this website is not the official website of the hamas organization. i'd also recommend avoiding it bc it contains incredibly graphic videos of some of the atrocities committed by said group. however, i have found no articles talking about it being run by the israeli government???

also, since this is the first time i think i'm rbing a post talking about it, arab.org (owned/run by a company called the olive tree sal) is neither non-profit nor not-for-profit. the website's "about us" section describes itself as a "social enterprise start-up," which seems to be business speak for a for-profit business that also donates money to organizations. i'm not telling you not to Do Your Daily Clicks™️ bc i really do not care enough to talk about that. i've poked around their website, i've looked at what paperwork is available (tho their "open analytics" link seems to be broken 🤔) and other than donating to organizations like the unrwa (who are currently being sued by the survivors of the october 7 attacks (x), not in the least because of how thoroughly they fucked palestinian education (x) (something people who consider themselves pro-palestine should care about but whatever) and also bc they kinda just allowed hamas to steal oNE BILLION DOLLARS FROM THEM (x)—i wonder how much of that money was from daily clicks?) and the whole "social enterprise startup" thing it seems fine. i think a lot of people are putting all their eggs in one basket and more use the "doing my daily clicks" thing to satisfy the anxious uselessness all of us feel about this situation than to actually directly help palestinians but. whatever. this is so far down the list of harms people are doing as a result of this tragedy. i just don't want anyone to get their hopes up too high

Its not okay when artists do that either. It's pathetic and bad behavior. Nobody is owed recognition from strangers for any form of art they create which is why the driving factor has to be the desire to create for yourself. There's lots of art I make I don't even post because it's just for me. The art I'm most proud of gets hardly any notes but i still have it hanging on my wall because I love it. I also never post my writing because that's just for me.

I mean, not ok to YOU but I've seen ppl rb art even captioned "if you like without rbing I'll block you," and one of the most aggressive people I've met irt to the whole liking without rbing thing constantly told me I shouldn't require engagement on my writing (which was funny bc theirs got tons nonstop so they didn't understand my experience at all lmao)

Like it seems the general consensus I've seen is "writers wanting engagement is bad, artists DEMANDING egagment is fine tho"
