Tumblr media
contains: NSFW, MDNI. siren!geto x afab!reader. cunnilingus, mention of inhuman body parts (snake-like tongue, reader ponders what the rest of his anatomy is like), public sex (getting eaten out on the seashore), allusions to yandere behavior.

All your life you’ve felt comforted by the water.
Part of you wonders if you haven’t made an effort to feel comforted by it to confront your own fears - certain you could never drown if you make it a friend. How can it take you under if you make it your domain, a place where you can feel free and comfortable?
This far it has proven to be foolproof and even tonight as day turns to dusk, you stand with your feet submerged beneath the shallow water of the shore. Sand feels like a home to you and you wiggle your toes, letting little razorfish zip around your ankles. You take a deep breath, sinking to the dry sand below you, and you rest.
Before long, it’ll be too cold to do this. The chill of winter will rob the last of the warmth of summer from this water and you’ll be left to simply traverse the shore with a sweater and jacket snug to your frame, the cool air keeping you from doing what you love the most - just relaxing on the shore, waiting for the next wave to roll in.
Days are hard but at least you have this and your eyes shift to the water in front of you to watch the bits of sea life enjoying their last days of summer as well. They glimmer in the setting sun, scales catching the light as they pass. This is peace at its finest, picturesque and bathed in the quickly dissipating golden hour light.
You contentedly gaze a little further out, squinting as you notice a head bobbing above the surface in the distance. All you can make out are eyes and dark hair damp and flattened to the head it rests on. The water is a little chillier the further out you go and you don’t see a boat the person could possibly return to but you don’t think very hard about it, stealing a last glance and turning your attention back toward the shore in front of you.
As a human often is, you’re too careless to notice danger bobbing in the water.
Danger with amber eyes surrounded by darkened sclera that narrow in your direction, a tail swishing beneath the surface of the water. It isn’t until this danger, Suguru as he is called by his own kind, is certain that you’ve noticed him that he ducks his head beneath the surface, dark hair fanning behind him as he heads toward the shore with the sun's descent.
The water swishes and you watch the sun dip lower, the purple hue of night’s fall reminding you that it’s time to go home yet you stay with your feet in the water in front of you. There’s no rush, the beach safer than most places you could find yourself at night, and you rest. The salty air feels restorative but a splash a few feet out catches your attention.
The same head from before pops up, dark hair wet and flattened over the top of his head.
“Oh, hello. I was worried you were going to get caught up in the dark,” you offer with an uneasy smile toward the stranger who refuses to show you more of his face, just the top of his head and his eyes. You can’t make them out well from this far but you notice they look dark, different.
“Are you alright?”
You ask, shifting from sitting on your butt to tucking your legs beneath you. You lean over the shore and squint to see if you can focus your sight on the man that appears to be bobbing closer, the scant light of dusk fading quickly but leaving you with just enough to see his face.
His eyes are darker than any you’ve ever seen. A chill crawls up your spine, one you simply cannot blame on the evening air, and you watch him come close enough that you can make out the way his long hair flows in the water behind him. It’s almost eerie but you’d be lying if you said you weren’t at least curious.
Perhaps this is one of those people who gets way too into the mermaid cosplay although they tend to frequent the warmer and busier beaches several miles down the shore, eager to get the attention of watching children and families, but maybe this is for his own personal gain.
Stranger things have happened and you’d be the last to judge anyone else’s peace given that this is your own.
The only sound passing between the two of you is the splash of water and the roar of the ocean itself, each swish of his tail that you have yet to see kicking water up behind him. He gets closer, eyes still narrowed, and you lean further over the water to meet him as he approaches.
You’re too focused making out the angles of his face, inhuman in a distinct way, to notice the iridescence of his dark tail swishing behind him. The remainders of daylight have finally snuffed themselves out and now you live beneath the rules of the moon, cool light drenching the beach as the stars twinkle above.
You aren’t brave enough to ask this man, you assume, if he’s alright again but you silently watch him crawl toward the shore and make no effort to move away from him. Eyes darting from his face for a moment, they settle on the way his damp hair rests over his defined shoulders and chest and you gasp. Catching yourself, you press your hand to your mouth and your eyes widen taking in the full picture of the man who is halfway on the shore.
Man, of some kind. You can tell by the way he eyes you, no different than that of a man at a bar or the last time you bedded a man who paid for dinner.
This man has desires.
He chuckles, a bubbling sound like you’ve never heard before, and you shift where you sit, untucking your legs and stretching them out in front of you. He looks over each of your movements carefully, flicking over your calves and thighs, the skin shining when the moon catches it. Without much additional thought, he reaches out and grabs your ankle and you gasp again.
His hand is cold and wet but feels distinctly human and it’s disarming. You’re certain now that this must be one of the people you’ve seen in the past dressing up and living another life, something you can certainly relate to, and you soften.
“Beautiful night to be out here, isn’t it?”
Again, he doesn’t respond but you don’t mind. A silent companion is better than none at all and his grip on your ankle seems less and less bothersome as the minutes pass. You settle comfortably into the sand beneath you but furrow your brow when his touch travels up your calf, cool fingers moving from your knee to further up, where your bikini bottoms rest just below the oversized t-shirt you wear to keep yourself covered.
The wordless touch of a stranger would regularly make you bristle but the beach is just so relaxed right now. The moon shines bright overhead, the water ripples in a way that looks almost sensual like silk, and you let his fingers dip below your bikini bottoms after taking a good look around the beach to make sure it’s as empty as you have imagined.
Not a soul in sight for miles and you spread your legs, the small fabric of your bottom bunching up and almost exposing you fully to the devouring gaze of the man in front of you. It’s what Suguru wants to see, after all, the warm cunt of a human something he has yet to experience but he has been told about by others more than once. An experience unlike any other, another of his kind once told him, but one ended by the departure of the human themselves.
He has seen you here enough times he knows that you have nowhere to depart to except for wherever you dwell when you aren’t at this beach. Luckily for him you are here every day, he has been tracking your movements for months, and tonight he’s making his move.
Fingers push the fabric of your bathing suit out of the way and he grins, sharp teeth gleaming in the moonlight, witnessing what’s revealed to him beneath. It’s as beautiful as he has been told and you watch as he licks his lips, long forked tongue dancing over teeth and mouth.
For a moment, realization dawns, and this is either the world’s most dedicated merman or you’ve found yourself in something that could spell trouble. You’re content to quiet the thoughts though, watching as he pulls himself further onto the shore so that his torso rests on the sand between your spread legs and his tail swishes in the water behind him.
Pressing his face against your exposed cunt, he inhales deeply and groans. He wants to savor as he was instructed to do by the others of his kind but he cannot help himself, mouth watering at your scent, making him wonder what your taste must be like. Divinity, he assumes.
When the tip of his tongue presses against your slit, he knows he assumed correctly and the taste of you draws another deep groan from him. The sound is primal, full of need, and you spread your legs further to allow him access to all of you. You bloom like a flower in the night, pussy unfurling before his eyes, and his eager tongue immediately goes to work.
It’s messy, his forked tongue dancing between folds and never quite touching where you need it to, but what he lacks in experience he obviously makes up for in enthusiasm. His dark eyes flutter shut and you are sad to see them no longer trained on your every move, dark lashes resting against his cheek. He reaches to grasp your thighs, holding the backs of them as you scoot until your pelvis is fully flush to his face and this is where the feast really begins.
Suguru’s tongue dips inside of you, long enough that you can feel the length of it mapping out your insides and thick enough your walls contract around it hungrily. It’s truly like nothing you’ve ever experienced before, no toy nor man could ever compare to this feeling, and you buck against his face.
You can’t see his face, he’s buried too deeply between your thighs, but you gently grab one of his hands and guide it from your thigh to the top of your mound, positioning his fingers so that his thumb spreads your pussy further and your neglected clit rests engorged just above his nose. His eyes open and he notices the little pearl, tongue leaving your insides empty and traveling to wrap around the bud.
The way you gasp is something he’ll recall long after this night ends, your blood singing with pleasure. You wonder what his cock is like if his tongue is like this, flexible and strong and eager. Is it large? Is it unlike any you’ve ever seen before?
You’re willing to chance it if it can make you feel like this.
Your hips rut against his face, his tongue still dancing circles around your nearly oversensitized clit and you aren’t above begging him to touch where you need him - directly on it.
“On it,” you gasp, face hot. He opens his eyes and meets your own heavily lidded pair, relishing in the way you quickly dart them downward to watch him lap at your pretty cunt. He doesn’t understand what you mean but he changes his technique, lips wrapping around the bud and sucking it into his mouth while the tip of his forked tongue flicks at it.
Without any warning, your entire body spasms and you shout to the night sky above you. You cum so strongly you swear the heavens are coming down and you reach to run your fingers through his inky black hair but hold yourself back for fear of breaking some kind of undisclosed boundary.
As if you didn’t just get your pussy devoured on a public beach. A little late for boundaries.
Catching your breath, you smile at him and he offers a smile in return. Sharp teeth, inhuman eyes, and you wonder what this all means. His smile doesn’t comfort or upset you, instead it just forces you to look closer at the creature in front of you.
With the first step of the courting ritual completed, Suguru wonders if he can expect you back tomorrow night to complete the job of making you his permanently.

History by John Burnside
St Andrews: West Sands; September 2001
Today as we flew the kites
- the sand spinning off in ribbons along the beach
and that gasoline smell from Leuchars gusting across
the golf links;
The tide far out
and quail-grey in the distance; people
jogging, or stopping to watch
as the war planes cambered and turned
in the morning light –
today
- with the news in my mind, and the muffled dread of what may come – I knelt down in the sand with Lucas gathering shells and pebbles finding evidence of life in all this driftwork: snail shells; shreds of razorfish;
smudges of weed and flesh on tideworn stone.
At times I think what makes us who we are
is neither kinship nor our given states
but something lost between the world we own and what we dream about behind the names on days like this our lines raised in the wind our bodies fixed and anchored to the shore and though we are confined by property
what tether us to gravity and light
has most to do with distance and the shapes we find in water reading from the book
of silt and tides the rose or petrol blue
of jellyfish and sea anemone
combining with a child’s
first nakedness.
Sometimes I am dizzy with the fear
of losing everything – the sea, the sky,
all living creatures, forests, estuaries:
we trade so much to know the virtual
we scarcely register the drift and tug
of other bodies scarcely apprehend
the moment as it happens: shifts of light
and weather and the quiet, local forms
of history: the fish lodged in the tide
beyond the sands; the long insomnia
of ornamental carp in public parks
captive and hung in their own
slow-burning transitive gold jamjars of spawn and sticklebacks or goldfish carried home from fairgrounds to the hum of radio
but this is the problem: how to be alive
in all this gazed-upon and cherished world and do no harm a toddler on a beach
sifting wood and dried weed from the sand and puzzled by the pattern on a shell
his parents on the dune slacks with a kite plugged into the sky all nerve and line
patient; be afraid; but still, through everything attentive to the irredeemable.

Lets finish off the vertebrates with the mu's fishes
Logistically speaking, what we consider "fish" as a group is kind of an eclectic mess filled with species who are closer related to us than they are to other "fish"
But there's three main subgroups of fish, jawless fish, cartilaginous fish, and bony fish
Jawless fish are the oldest, but nowadays are mainly represented by lampreys and hagfish, there are no jawless fish in the mu
Cartilaginous fish consist of the sharks and rays, there are two shark rahi, the Takea and the Burnak. The Burnak is an interesting case of specevo being one of the several non canine animals to fill a canine niche, its also quadrupedal and can breath air. While there are no confirmed ray rahi, contextual clues imply that they do, or at least one species does, exist.
Now bony fish as a subgroup is extremely eclectic since, really, the only requirements are having a jaw and not having a skeleton made of cartilage. For this we have Lava Eels, which look more like worms in their only appearance for some reason, the Ruki, which is said to be a minnow, and the Piranha and Seahorse rahi from Mask of Light.
Now, you may be asking "That's it? I thought there more than that?" Well you'd be right, problem is, the remaining fish rahi, while visually can be put into the "bony fish" subgroup, are never given specific identifiers beyond that, they are just generic "fish".
This includes: The fish rahi from MNOG, the propeller fish rahi from the cancelled pc game, the cave fish, which while context clues may imply that it's a pufferfish equivalent, no conclusive evidence exists to confirm this, the Dweller in the Deep, the Makuta fish, the Reef Raider, and two unique mahri nui fish species that appear in the background of the comics.
Also a shoutout to the Razorfish, which despite the name, is not a fish and actually an aquatic mammal that missed when I was talking about mammals. If you're wondering what type of mammal it is, given that it's stated to be the Razorwhale's smaller cousin, it's highly likely to be a dolphin or porpoise instead of a pinniped.
And that's all of the vertebrates, technically...

DRAGON ISLAND BLUE REVIEW: PIRANHA
Tumblr media
A school of nasty bitey little fish. No resemblance to real piranha, but they sort of evoke a stock image in your mind when you think of "killer piranhas"
Full review under the cut.
RAZORFISH
Tumblr media
A ghostly white Dunkleosteus with a human-like skull at the tip of its snout, and the left side of its face forming another skull. Its surrounded by smaller fish, all with an eerie single, red eye. Really, really cool.
DARK RAZORFISH
Tumblr media
Pretty much the same thing but darker and spikier. It's entire forehead appears to have morphed into a human skull. Spooky.
DEEP WHALE
Tumblr media
This is a completely different animal than all previous forms, now a serpentine baleen whale with rows of big green eyes (or just ambiguous orbs?) lining its sides. There appear to be eyelids where normal eyes would go, but they're closed.
I can't see a blowhole in this artwork, so I like to think this is just a really weird deep sea fish that looks like a whale.
Overall really cool, I like all its forms for different reasons. 5/5

The Evolution of Gen Z and Alpha's Online Identity Preferences
Gen Alpha children, the kids of millennials are technology-savvy, deep involvement in the field of technology. These characteristics significantly impact how marketers can interact with them. They love digital media and see it as a symbol of their individuality. However, they also appear to have their own ideas and ideals. 1. Social Media Gen Z and Alpha, unlike previous generations of digital consumers, see the digital and physical worlds as one. They rarely sign on or off, and would rather engage in entertainment that allows them to create and communicate. They also have an intuitive and natural capacity to work with technology tools. They have access to a wealth of information and constant zapping content. This makes them skilled creators (per Razorfish). They can easily build their personal brand using social media platforms, resulting an authentic online presence that is reflective of the unique values and interests of each. As such, they are more likely to prefer brands that support social awareness initiatives and humanitarian efforts on a regional or global level. Additionally, they tend to be more tolerant than previous generations when it comes to brands that have a position on controversial issues. 2. YouTube Gen Z is the digital generation that is native to the digital. Their internet presence has become an integral aspect of their work and personal lives. Gen Z is a diverse, fast-moving cohort that has already started reshaping industries and challenging traditional methods of marketing and redefining the ways consumers interact. Their nexus with the digital world makes it hard for them to distinguish their authentic and virtual identities. They want their brands to appear authentic in their messaging and quickly detect fake or tone deaf content. The millennial generation is also more involved with social movements and activist groups, and they want to make a difference by their actions. It is crucial to comprehend and help this generation as they navigate the ever-changing digital environment and help them build a healthy relationship with information that preserves their autonomy and mental wellbeing as well as integrity. 3. TikTok Gen Z and Alpha are generations that have developed with the Internet playing an integral part of their lives. Their digital activities are a aspect of their identity, and are evident by the way they create and share content on the internet. TikTok the video-sharing app is the hub of trends, feelings and culture for Gen Z. The challenges and dances that become viral on the platform typically get their inspiration from popular songs, remixes or sound effects. The platforms that brands use are able to connect with their customers with authenticity and meaning in a genuine way. It is crucial for marketers to remember TikTok users can tell when the images they see appear to be fake. 4. Instagram
youtube
Gen Z is a highly proficient content creator because of their proficiency in all things digital. They are well accustomed to creating their own identity through digital creation and see the content they consume using an extremely sophisticated lens. Instagram allows users to showcase their ideal self with filtered images hashtags, short videos. They also use it to keep track of influencers, keep abreast with the latest news and keep in touch with friends. They must focus on organic and authentic content to gain the attention of consumers and build their loyalty. Additionally, they have to be aware of their commitment to sustainability and embrace new ideas in order to succeed in this digital world. The generation of millennials has high standards when it comes to the brands they shop with and is adamant about the brand loyalty cultivated by their parents. 5. Snapchat The Generation X, born between 2010 and today have already differentiated themselves from their parents through their deep immersion in technology. This makes it all the more crucial for brands to be aware of how they communicate and interact online. The Alphas are also more aware of staged content and favor influencers that are real-life rather than actors. This may be due to their high moral standards and desire for authentic content. Gen Alphas are most likely to appreciate looking at humorous memes and sharing funny things on social networks. They also like watching live streams and listening to music, according to GWI research. These are their two most popular ways to get rid of boredom. Watch the video here
