How to Spot Fake Ray-Ban Sunglasses: A Complete Guide
Ray ban sunglasses are not just eyewear; theyâre a fashion statement. Loved by celebrities, athletes, and everyday style enthusiasts alike, these iconic glasses have earned their place as a must-have accessory for both men and women. However, the immense popularity of Ray-Ban sunglasses has made them a target for counterfeiters. The market is flooded with fake versions that try to pass off as authentic Ray-Bans, which can make it hard to tell if the sunglasses you're buying are genuine or not.
Buying fake sunglasses not only wastes your money but could also harm your eyes since these imitations lack the necessary UV protection. So, how do you make sure you're buying the real deal? In this complete guide, weâll walk you through the key differences between real and fake Ray-Ban sunglasses, so you can shop confidently, whether youâre searching for Ray-Ban sunglasses for men or Ray-Ban sunglasses for women.
1. Check the Packaging
One of the first things to examine when buying Ray-Ban sunglasses is the packaging. Genuine ray ban sunglasses come in a high-quality, sturdy box with the iconic logo printed on the top. Inside the box, there should be:
A microfiber cleaning cloth with the Ray-Ban logo.
A genuine Ray-Ban case, which could be black, brown, or tan, depending on the model.
Fake Ray-Bans often come in flimsy packaging with a cheap case and no cleaning cloth. If the case feels like low-quality leather or synthetic material, you could be dealing with counterfeit sunglasses. Pay attention to the details, such as the stitching and overall finish.
2. Inspect the Logo on the Lens
A clear sign of real Ray-Ban sunglasses is the logo on the top corner of the right lens. The logo should be crisp, with even spacing between the letters. It should also be etched, not painted or printed on the lens. In contrast, on fake sunglasses, the logo may appear blurry or even smudged.
For many Ray-Ban models, including both Ray-Ban sunglasses for men and ray ban sunglasses for women, thereâs also a subtle "RB" etching on the left lens. This etching is incredibly fine, and counterfeit models often fail to replicate it. Always run your finger across this etching. In real sunglasses, you can feel it slightly raised or smoothly etched into the lens, but in fakes, this detailing may be absent or poorly done.
3. Examine the Hinges and Frame Quality
Ray-Ban sunglasses are known for their premium build quality. The hinges on authentic Ray-Ban sunglasses are durable, sturdy, and offer a smooth open-close motion. Whether you are buying classic aviators or trendy wayfarers, the hinges should feel solid.
On the other hand, fake Ray-Ban sunglasses typically have loose, wobbly hinges, making them feel cheap when you open and close the temples. Also, the weight of the frames can be telling. Real Ray-Bans have a substantial feel, while fakes may feel too light or overly heavy due to the use of inferior materials.
4. Look for the Model Number and Other Markings
Each genuine ray ban sunglass comes with specific model information printed on the inside of the temple (arm) of the frame. This includes the model number, frame size, and lens details. If youâre unsure about the model number, you can always check it online to ensure it matches the product youâre purchasing.
Fake Ray-Ban sunglasses often lack these details, or if they are included, they can be inaccurate or poorly printed. Make sure that the numbers are clear, evenly spaced, and not smudged. Also, authentic Ray-Ban sunglasses will include a "Made in Italy" label, as most of their models are crafted in Italy. Counterfeiters sometimes miss out on this essential detail, or include it but with inaccurate fonts or spacing.
5. Test the Lenses for Clarity and UV Protection
One of the most significant advantages of genuine Ray-Ban sunglasses is the superior lens quality. Real Ray-Ban lenses offer excellent optical clarity and provide 100% UV protection. If you notice any distortion when looking through the lenses, theyâre likely fake.
Fake Ray-Ban sunglasses might claim to offer UV protection, but often, they don't. You can test this by taking them to an optician or using a UV flashlight to check whether the lenses block UV rays effectively.
6. Look for the CE Marking
Genuine Ray-Ban sunglasses sold in Europe and many other regions carry a âCEâ marking, which indicates they meet European safety standards for eyewear. This marking is usually printed on the inside of the temple. Fake sunglasses may not include this marking, or it could be poorly replicated.
7. Price Check â Too Good to Be True?
One of the easiest ways to spot fake Ray-Ban sunglasses is the price. If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. Ray-Ban sunglasses are a premium product and are rarely sold at massive discounts, especially when theyâre new. If you come across a pair priced far below the market rate, you should be sceptical. Always purchase from authorised retailers or the official Ray-Ban website to avoid the risk of getting counterfeit products.
8. Do the Research on the Seller
Before buying, especially online, do some background checks on the seller. Look for customer reviews, ratings, and any signs of poor reputation. If youâre purchasing from a third-party platform, verify that the seller is an authorised Ray-Ban distributor. Checking for seller reviews can often help you avoid getting scammed.
Conclusion
When it comes to iconic eyewear, Ray-Ban sunglasses hold a special place in the fashion world. They are more than just accessories â they are a blend of function and timeless style. Whether youâre looking for ray ban sunglasses for men or Ray-Ban sunglasses for women, making sure that youâre getting an authentic product is crucial.
By following the tips mentioned above, you can confidently spot fake Ray-Ban sunglasses and make sure you invest in genuine, high-quality sunglasses that not only look great but also protect your eyes. So next time youâre shopping for your next pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses, remember to keep an eye out for these details, and youâll never be fooled by counterfeits again!

astro observations 11
your astro granny is back, I've been doing this for so long omg. some of it is venting, like always, so ignore that, but maybe don't you may find words of wisdom there. anyway, enjoy. also warning, it escalates to heavier subjects fast đŞ đ
 ââ
đ°ď¸ Virgo and gemini risings can pull off any type of glasses, sunglasses, bug-eye glasses, cat-eye, mirrored ray-bans, you name it. They even look cute with goggles no joke. They also make the smart and academia aesthetics look so cool and elegant in a chaotic way, not in a taurus capricorn way but in a- 'I spilled coffee on my boss's laptop this morning and I'm still talking about it way- because omfg- did you see the way they looked at me? it's like I've done it on purpose or smth but I didn't, not sure if they have a crush on me or they fucking hate me, what do you think? I'm pretty sure they don't hate me tho, but I can't tell, do you think I should quit?' đď¸đŹ
đ°ď¸ I recently looked up George Clooney's chart and omggg, it all makes sense. The moon conj saturn in capricorn, giving him that nostalgic wise aura along his taurus sun, uranus and pluto opp ascendant kind of indicating finding his perfect partner later on in life, venus in aries and mars in leo, he's fiery but that fire so damn well contained with all the earth. His asc and jupiter in aquarius, yeah only an aquarius women with so much air and intelligence can maintain his attention and lock him in lmao. His synastry with Amal Clooney reminds of that of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. Manifesting a relationship like this for everyone reading đ§đźââď¸â¨
đ°ď¸ Personal planets in scorpio 10° or 22° is a sexy mf combo, esp moon, venus, mars and asc, it gives bedroom eyes and seductive domineer, also godmade bone structures. đż
đ°ď¸ Pluto opposite or square ascendant, a very classic aspect for friends/coworkers/admirers/people in general turning enemies and talking shit behind your back. This aspect can easily make people speculate, overanalyze your actions, assume things, spread rumors and lies about you out of jealousy and intimidation.Â
đ°ď¸ Any planet conjunct the desc can bring the physical manifestation to that planet's shadow side, up to 10°. It can conceal traits of that planet in the sign itâs in, as itâs descending and escaping the sunâs light. Pluto on the desc brings a few shadow traits out of people and conceals their true intentions from the native. So the native has to face those traits, learn to see them from miles away, to discern what peopleâs intentions are and whether it's that or their own perception and fears. In other words, they start from naive to paranoid to bs detectors, and it takes a long painful journey to get there.
đ°ď¸ Even tho personal planets on the desc are much easier to see and handle, venus on the descendant can bring shallow traits and empty promises out of people, mars on the descendant, not as easy, can bring out anger, toxic masculinity and aggression. Saturn on the desc can bring immaturity, irresponsibility, immoral and disloyal behaviors out of people, stagnation, delays in connection and loneliness, pushing the native to learn patience and endurance. The native will meet people with such traits over and over again until they learn to spot and discern them faster and take the right action. âď¸
đ°ď¸ Iâll keep talking about it in this blog cuz itâs always been one of my biggest challenges. What I learned with pluto on the desc is that you will keep attracting the same kind of enemies to challenge you if you donât own your power and stop diluting yourself for someone else's fragile power hungry ego, because people will have a problem with you anyway. Also donât hold too tight to anyone, never be afraid to lose people, because trust me you will. Almost no one is meant to stay in your life, theyâre meant to transform you and leave. The only thing youâre meant to rely on is your power and independence. The moment you see it the easier cutting ppl off becomes.Â
đ°ď¸ I have venus in aries and I find myself always having a girl crush on celebs with this placement, Rihanna, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Jennifer Aniston. They all seem to share that fiery independence mixed with a childlike but fierce demeanor which I admire, plus they never age. đââŹ
đ°ď¸ I have mercury in aries and mars in scorpio, but for some reason Iâm fascinated by people with mercury in aquarius and mars in sagittarius, with mercury in aqua I always expect something fascinating about their minds but I can't guess it cuz it's always different, but females with mars in sag omggg the sass is hilarious, I canât help but laugh when they get blunt, loud and shady out of nowhere lmfao.
đ°ď¸ Speaking of placements Iâm fascinated by, whatâs the deal with moon in taurus? I keep thinking it must be⌠nice.. to have? people that have it are so grounded and serene it makes me think itâs the best moon sign. If you have it please share the emotional difficulties you experience, because I can speak of every moon sign emotional traumas in detail but for some reason I be romanticizing this one. âď¸
đ°ď¸ Another placement I really admire is moon conjunct saturn, thereâs just something unspeakable, that isnât tangible (even tho they have timeless mesmerizing eyes) but on a soul level I can sense their wisdom and nostalgic aura. Itâs like thereâs a balance of feminine and masculine qualities which come out in their mannerisms. People that have it, TimothĂŠe Chalamet, George Clooney, River Phoenix, and every hot man ever.Â
đ°ď¸ Have you ever asked yourself why Morgan Freeman has such deep unique and easily recognizable voice? It's his mercury conj uranus in taurus. Who else has an easily recognizable voice, Kim Kardashian, mercury conj uranus in scorpio.Â
đ°ď¸ Having the axis of virgo-pisces over your sun-moon, like virgo sun opposite pisces moon, or mercury-moon can give someone a soft voice, their voice can even be therapeutic and healing. Think of Michael Jackson's speaking voice.
đ°ď¸ The hardest aspect in any chart for me are oppositions or squares to pluto, saturn and chiron. These are easily the most challenging aspects you can find in a chart.
đ°ď¸ Those that have lilith/pluto in the 1st, 6th, 7th, 10th, 11th tend to have haters in their workplace, in groups or wherever they go often. Itâs saddening but Iâve seen it a lot. Can also make ppl copy your style or attitude then hate on it, and never admit they got inspired by you.
-- potential triggers in the following one, pls skip if necessary.
đ°ď¸ Difficult planets on the angles, saturn, pluto and chiron mainly can truly mess with someone's mental health to the point of them wanting to- yeah that. The most drastic effect is when they sit on the descendant and MC, since it deals with connections, groups of people and the public, a lot of it is outside of the native's control, and at times more than what they can handle. Their usually painful past experiences and memories has shaped their perception of the world to a dark and despairing one where they don't see a better future for themselves. A few examples, Kurt Cobain (chiron and saturn conj desc and pluto conj asc all tightly opposing), Mac Miller (chiron conj desc, saturn conj asc and pluto conj MC). Marilyn Monroe (chiron conj MC and saturn close to the IC, pluto conj nn).Â
đ°ď¸ I see every major astrological transit as a collective test, lesson and preparation for the next transit. It made sense that corona happened when pluto was in capricorn, a pandemic that restricted our freedom and made us prisoners in our own homes. There was a stellium of mars, jupiter, saturn and pluto all in cap the moment quarantine started in march. It was all about teaching us to respect societal rules and structures that keep us safe, whether it had to do with the government or the medical system, whether it was real or fake or real fake. Yes you have to give up some freedom for safety, thatâs how surveillance and security cameras everywhere you go work, for your safety.Â
đ°ď¸ It taught us to care for the health of humanity, to live responsibly and respectfully when in crisis, even if that means compromising our freedom and limiting our movement. Trusting that the structure built over the past decades is somewhat reliable and helpful. We saw how some people put their own freedom above anything and anyone out of superiority, that's the selfishness we collectively needed to face before pluto moves to aquarius and we are given freedom we didn't learn how to appreciate or use responsibly. We had to learn the value of personal freedom vs discipline and structure.
đ°ď¸ There are two planets Iâve seen repeatedly in people that manifest like magic, saturn and neptune. To add a third it would be uranus. Conjunctions and oppositions to these planets are like superpowers in manifesting your desired reality. All work in different ways.Â
đ°ď¸ For example people that have personal planets conjunct saturn (esp sun and moon) are easily attuned with the physical world and have some sort of control over time, turning it backwards or forwards, making themselves look younger and older at the same time, knowing the actions to take to bring anything into the three-dimensional world.
đ°ď¸ Now this leads me to an astrology book I recently came across, the Alien Constructs the work of Edwin Steinbrecher and Stephanie Jourdan, discovering aspects that constitute an alien chart. The alien construct occurs when one of the outer planets, that is saturn, uranus, neptune or pluto, is conjunct or opposite the sun, moon, ascendant or the chart ruler. An individual that has one or few of these is different from other humans, they possess supernatural abilities, and typically have rough childhoods and adolescence.
đ°ď¸ Every aspect with each of the outer planets has a unique ability, for example when the sun conjoins an outer planet it's called Power Alien Construct, the moon conjoining an outer planet is a Vessel Alien Construct, an outer planet conjoining the ascendant is an Instrument Alien Construct, an outer planet conjoining the descendant is a Shadow Alien Construct. Saturnian aliens are able to manifest things in the physical realm, plutonian aliens are masters of metamorphosis and irreversible change, uranian aliens are able to see the future and raise energetic frequencies.Â
đ°ď¸ Sun conjunct pluto is Plutonian Power, aliens are able to destroy that which is not built upon truth, understand the true nature of birth, sex, death and power, generate energy and power, integrate polarities, perform psychic surgery, see beneath solid surfaces, shape-shift into animals, minerals or plants, heal utilizing sex, magnets or lasers.. etc. Moon conjunct uranus is a Uranian Vessel, aliens are able to comprehend the cycles and trends of the futures, safely corral erratic energy or electricity, channel high-frequency beings, telepath to imprisoned or trapped individuals or animals, sense the formation of inventions and innovations. Look it up, it's fun and tell me what alien construct are you and how you relate to it. oh it reminds me of a post I did a while back of aspects as superpowers.
Happy pluto in aquarius đ°ď¸â¨ (will come back in years and see how this aged)

The Odyssey | Prologue | Bradley Bradshaw (18+)
Masterlist | Next Chapter
Bradley wakes up in a foul mood, your ego takes a hit. A deal is struck to ensure that youâll be able to graduate.
warnings: enemies to lovers, power imbalance (professor / student relationship), age gap (22 / 33), will be smut, virgin reader, swearing, infidelity. warnings to be added on a chapter by chapter basis. 18+ minors dni, wc: 3.1k
âŚ
Nine weeks into Spring semester, six to go. Six more weeks of having scalding coffee, missing tastebuds and a fucking freshman girl ranting into his ear all before the clock even hits 8am. Bradleyâs sunglasses sit perfectly across the bridge of his nose, gold-framed Ray-Ban caravans that hide how late he was up last night. This means that sweet, little freshman Bettie OâRiley canât see the look that heâs giving her as she jogs along to keep up with him.
Hallowed halls, filled with young adults that either reek of cheap beer or Daddyâs money, all signs would suggest that Bradley isnât supposed to be here. Only thirty-three, sitting at that awkward age that makes him neither a frat boy nor a balding tenured ex-businessman turned lecturer. And yet, his brown leather shoes hit these aged floors every morning on the way to his first class of the day.
Beige, almost cream-coloured, wide pleated dress pants and an untucked blue shirt, rolled up at his forearms and missing the top button. His messenger bag draped from his shoulder, his tie balled into the hand holding the to-go double shot espresso.
Six more weeks until heâs in Italy for two months, teaching during the mornings, free as a bird in the evenings. Sun on his face, limoncello on his tongue; good books, women who donât just giggle and twirl a strand of their hair at him. History. All funded by the Cornell school of Arts and Sciences. He damn near sighs at how badly he wants to be there now.
âBettie, I already told you,â He sighs, adjusting the gold-framed sunglasses and shooting a look down at her and her wispish black, curled bob. âI canât curve your grade, it was a C minus.â
She speeds up and steps in front of him, walking backwards now. âPlease, Professor Bradshaw. Iâll do anything.â
Professor Bradshaw rarely draws a reaction from him these days. Only his bosses and parents call him that. He makes a point of scrawling it across the chalkboard at the beginning of each semester, but heâs usually still reminding kids a couple of weeks in to just call him Bradley.
Still, both he and Bettie OâReilly know that it isnât her method of address that makes him scoff at her. He stops walking and pushes his sunglasses up into the feathery brown curls that adorn his face, staring down at her like sheâs even younger than she is. She swallows, regret flooding her. The other professors usually lean into the kind of virginal, good-girl, bad student thing that sheâs got going on.
âBettie,â Bradley speaks slowly for her, pink lips against tanned skin. Warm eyes against a cold stare. The hallways are full around them, standing stationary in the steady stream of students. âDonât come onto me like that again. Study.â
âYes, Sir.â
âAlright, come to my office tomorrow morning, Iâll give you an extra credit assignment,â Itâs more lenient than he should be with a girl who just propositioned him before he has even finished his morning coffee, but Bradley knows not to blame little Bettie. With those thick, rounded glasses and dark freckles, he knows that she gets a lot of attention from her other professors. The culture theyâve created in this school isnât her fault. Neither is the fact that Bradleyâs class is notoriously hard to pass. âWeâll talk through what an A grade paper should be looking like. Do me a favour and donât talk to me until then.â
He steps around her and continues; sheâs swallowed instantly by the sea of bustling students. In the run up to the end of the semester, people start showing up to class again as it hits them that their professors might actually fail them. There arenât too many Fâs floating around in a school like Cornell. Its stats are exceptionally high, especially these past few years. It would seem that, in a school like Cornell, a passing grade quite simply has a price tag on it.
Three minutes before his morning class is due to start, and having woken up on the wrong side of his bed, Bradley drops his sunglasses back down over his eyes as he strolls into the lecture hall. Itâs surprisingly full for a Monday morning. The gossiping never stops when he walks in â heâs not that kind of teacher. He allows the whispering to continue while he sets up his supplies.
There are six people in this room that Bradley has not seen since the first week of class. Every single one of them has a parent that is a benefactor to the university. Front and centre, surrounded by a group of excitedly whispering, well-dressed young women, thereâs you. He knows you vaguely, knows that youâre coasting on high Bâs. He hasnât seen you since January, you wonât be passing this class.
âGod, look at that rock!â The blonde to your side fawns, grabbing at your hand and lifting it up towards the light to get a better look. Setting his sunglasses down on the desk, Bradley looks too. Thereâs a silver band with a big diamond on it around your ring finger. Youâre beaming. Dressed in a white turtleneck and fitted blue jeans, Bradleyâs got his assumptions about the family you come from, and the family youâll be marrying in to.
Youâve been taking his classes for the full three years that he has been teaching here. He knows your boyfriend. Malcolm something something the third. Maybe fourth. His Daddy paid for the science wing refurbishment last year. Bradley remembers the night that your Prince Charming ditched you out in the snow, drunk out of your mind. You probably donât remember that night.
âGood morning.â His booming voice obliterates the pleasant chatter coming from your friend group. You cross one leg over the other and look downwards at the glimmering rock on your finger.
Six more weeks until youâre out of this hellhole. An apartment in Manhattan all lined up and Macâs place with his fatherâs firm long confirmed by now, itâs all coming into place. Youâll have a summer wedding at the end of August, and then youâll truly begin your life.
âTell me all about it! Did he get down on one knee?â Veronica nudges her white tennis shoe into yours and leans across to you, tapping her pen against the white-lined page of her notebook. Between the two of you, Catherine readies herself to take down notes that youâll copy later.
A decent string of A to B grades and a diploma, that was the agreement, and then your life is all yours. That was all your father had held you to. You hadnât ever promised to do something with the degree he had paid for.
Why would you? â Your mother hadnât. She had studied literature, made friends for life, and met her husband. Then, she began her life. Having her children, shopping in the afternoon, tennis on the weekends. Bliss.
âOf course he did!â You confirm eagerly, leaning over Catherine to continue the conversation.
The first five minutes of a lecture determines everything. If he loses their focus now, then he might as well leave now and take an especially early lunch. He starts off with a quick reminder of their upcoming exam, and a nod towards last weekâs discussion of Roman literature.
His attention is quickly diverted to the excited whispering happening six feet from him, right in the front row. Your friends arenât bad students. You werenât ever a bad student. It has just become clear that you were in college to find a husband, and now youâve found one. Bradleyâs eyes narrow in on you and your preppy, little friends, giggling at the front of his class.
Exhausted, overworked and underappreciated, Bradley stares at you calmly. You conversation comes to a slow stop as an awkward air of silence fills the lecture hall. Heâs just standing at the front, staring right at you, waiting for you to shut up.
âSorry, Bradley, somebody just had some exciting news.â Catherine smiles shyly at him. He knows her the best out of the three of you. She TAâd for him last year. Great girl, really bright future â to generous when it comes to grading. Itâs because of his respect for her that he doesnât jump to humiliating you right away.
âI can see that, congratulations,â His tone is dry, broad shoulders squared, his face unamused as he looks to you. You stare back at him calmly, giving a curt nod â less than polite in your mannerisms. âNow, if those of you that still have a chance of passing this class could please turn your attention back to me, weâll give the blushing bride her moment afterwards.â
He opens the little brown, leather bound book in his hands and clears his throat, assuming that your rude interruptions are done for the day. Somehow, the awkward silence that sits heavy in the room grows to an even deeper low after you retort.
âExcuse me?â
âYouâre excused.â Bradley deadpans, bored. You squint at him, six feet between the two of you and a lifetime of differences. Unimpressed by his joke, you roll your eyes right away.
Sitting there, you cross one leg over the other and sit forwards, frowning at him. He doesnât fit in around here and you do, perhaps thatâs where his problem with you stems from. Perhaps itâs the lack of ring on his own finger. âWhy would you assume that I wouldnât pass your class?â
As much as he knows of you, you know of him too â heâs supposedly a jackass. âBecause you missed half of the semester. That includes two quizzes and a term paper. Thereâs no way for you to achieve a salvageable grade in this class.â
When youâre around Malcolm, sometimes he says things that are just so entitled that youâre wincing before heâs even done talking. He canât help it. He means well. With the amount of time youâve spent at his family home in the past few weeks, itâs no wonder that words you would normally wince at are spilling from your own lips, âI was planning a wedding, what do you expect from me?â
âAttendance.â Bradley snips. He raises his eyebrows slowly, waiting for you to pack up your pretty, coordinated stationary and walk yourself out of his class.
âButââ
âGoodbye, Mrs. Ashworth. Congratulations again.â Bradley speaks harshly, calling you by a name that isnât even yours yet like itâs an insult. Like heâs better than you, somehow.
Your pencil slams down onto the half desk in front of you, eyes ablaze. Perhaps the first time youâve ever been told no. âIf you fail me, there will be consequences.â
The silence that fills the classroom this time isnât awkward. Itâs just anticipation, baited breaths, waiting for Bradley to lose his temper. He walks a few paces closer, close enough to smell the cherry scented perfume on each of your pulse points.
His eyes darken as he dips his head just slightly, meeting your gaze. âYouâve got me shaking in my boots, honey. Now, stop wasting my time and get the fuck out of my class.â
There are certain lines that a professor does not cross when working at an Ivy League. Swearing at the daughter of someone with more lawyers than Bradley has living family members, was not his brightest idea. Still, your father is an amicable man â he keeps on saying that â and he wants to work this out. Bradley gets to keep his job, you get to graduate. Everybody wins.
âClassics majors work closely with individual professors in their areas of expertise, often in small classes, and have many opportunities for independent research and travel,â Doctor Kazanskyâs voice is calm, teetering on the edge of cold. Itâs growing increasingly difficult these days to put up with snotty parents and their snottier children. âIâm sure you understand why attendance would play such a strong part in succeeding in such a major.â
Bradley braces himself against the radiator, glancing down at the watch on his wrist. Real Italian leather that a girlâs grandfather had made for him a few years back. Heâs missing happy hour for this circus.
âOf course I understand, Doctor Kazansky,â Your father might as well be a parrot for how well he has learned to mimic tone. You cross your legs at his side and sit up a little straighter. The way you tense up at his voice is so routine, itâs almost Pavlovian. Bradley watches wordlessly. âJust like Iâm sure that you understand that in this universityâs hundred year history, it has never failed a member of my family and my daughter will not be the one to tarnish our impeccable reputation here.â
You glance up quickly, catching the look on Bradleyâs face. He squints disapprovingly at your Charles Dickens villain of a father.
âWhat can she do to bring her grade up?â
Now that, admittedly, does come as a surprise. This isnât the first meeting that Bradley has been called into where someoneâs parent demands a better grade. It is the first where he hasnât seen them resort to bribery before they finally blame their kid.
âShe missed over half the semester,â Bradley answers perhaps too quickly, still hot from the way you had spoken to him earlier. He gives a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders and looks at your father rather than you. âTwo quizzes and a term paper. Even if I gave her extra credit, she couldnât pull her average above a D.â
Your fatherâs face doesnât react at all to this information. Instead, he turns his attention back to the Dean and rests his hands on the armrests of the chair, slowly raising his eyebrows.
âWhat about the Italy trip?â Doctor Kazansky looks to Bradley, sitting back in his chair. Bradley stares blankly back at him. âThere were two empty spaces from what I remember. Is that correct?â
âFor research assistants,â Bradleyâs tongue drips venom, his brown eyes dark and his arms folded across his chest. You narrow your eyes at him, knowing that an insult is coming next. âShe canât research what she doesnât even understand.â
âBut, if she were to complete extra credit for the rest of the semester and then accompany you for your research, she would have enough credits to pass your class and then graduate.â Doctor Kazansky explains, more for your fatherâs benefit than Bradleyâs. Bradley already knows this.
He grits his teeth, eyes darting across to you. His only solace is that you look just as dismayed about the proposal as he does.
âIâd graduate late.â You point out.
âBetter than not at all,â Your father intercepts, pushing his chair back and standing. He carries himself like a man much taller than he really is. âThank you, Doctor Kazansky. Weâll be in touch about this research opportunity.â
âYou canât just choose to do it, thereâs an application process.â Bradleyâs tone is far from professional, itâs downright snarky by this point. He doesnât care. He canât imagine anything worse than lugging a brat like you around Italy with him for two months, just for you to fail anyway.
You stand to follow your father, ditsy white loafers on the dark oak of Doctor Kazanskyâs office floor. Bradley remains where he is, leaning back against that wall with his arms crossed.
Your father smiles across at Bradley and then shoots a look back towards the Dean. Itâs smug, knowing. That process doesnât apply to him. âWeâll be in touch.â
Thereâs a final look shared between you and the oaf that just cost you your summer in Manhattan â the first time that the two of you have agreed on anything, a silent exchange. Neither one of you wants you to join him on that trip.
He watches you leave, following blindly after your father like a child, then whips his head around to his boss.
âItâll be good for her, maybe you can actually teach her something.â
âMy expertise unfortunately lacks when it comes to setting the table by seven sharp and getting the kids to bed before her husband makes it home.â Bradley scoffs, pushing himself away from the wall and shaking his head as he straightens up.
âIs there something offensive to you about a woman being a homemaker, Professor Bradshaw?â Thomas Kazansky has two daughters. One, is a wife with two beautiful children of her own. The other, is a doctor. Bradleyâs been over to their house a few times and he knows that Tom makes a point of it to be equally proud of them both.
âOh, give me a break,â Bradley rolls his eyes at the notion, despite the subtle truth it holds. He shakes his head. âShe deserves to fail and you know it.â
âWell, weâll see how she does at the end of summer. Iâll be the first to admit my defeat, if she fails.â Tom gives a small smile and a shrug of his shoulders, always too calm for his own hood these days. Apparently he has mellowed with time, Bradley hears that he used to have quite an attitude in his early career.
Pressing his tongue to the inside of his cheek, the younger professor tries to stare his boss down. Tom knows how much these trips mean to Bradley, he takes his work so seriously. Still, Tom just stares back at him, calm.
Squinting, it takes a few moments for Bradley to give up. He turns and growls in frustration, letting the door to Doctor Kazanskyâs office slam behind him. His shoes echo through the halls as he storms out of the building and across the quad. Not even Bettie OâReilly would dare to interrupt his when his face looks as stormy as it does now.
He shrugs his bag off of his shoulder and throws it into the back of the bronco, then shoves his hands into his pockets in search of his keys.
âDo you even understand how hard I have worked for you to have the opportunities that you have had?â
Bradley glances up. He isnât surprised to find that youâre the one being yelled at. He almost snorts â good, itâs about time someone reigned in that attitude of yours.
You stand, tearful, at the side of your fatherâs expensive Porsche, your head bowed in shame. Bradley unlocks his truck and pulls himself into the driverâs seat. He figures you probably cry a lot when someoneâs telling you no.
âI mean it! â If you ruin this opportunity, donât even think about coming back. Hopefully Malcolmâs family like you, because theyâll be all that youâve got, I swear.â
Bradley turns his head slowly. Swallowing to keep from sobbing in the parking lot, shame burns through you as you meet his gaze. Your father towers over you, demanding to know if youâre even listening to him.
Bradley turns the engine on, his brown eyes looking decidedly less scary when he isnât glaring at you. Thereâs something else. Maybe itâs pity â you arenât used to that. He turns his head away and reverses out of the spot.

Rooster's Guide to the Great Outdoors
A "Choose Your Own Adventure" Story!
Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x F!Reader
A/N: Ahhhh I'm so excited about this, you guys! Basically, this story will play out how YOU want it to. I will leave you with a few options at the end and you select your favorite option (or give me a better one!)
Have fun!
Summary: Your bestie, Natasha "Phoenix" Trace drags you out camping, a trip orchestrated by one of her colleagues: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw, aka camper extraordinaire. Navigate the wilderness (and Rooster's hot bod) while trying to enjoy your time in the mud.
CW: swearing, fluff, suggestive language, a mouthy Hangman, a commitment-phobic Rooster, dagger squad banter, future chapters will depend on YOUR participation (I'm putting you to work hehe)
âI canât believe I agreed to this,â you say grudgingly, yanking a tent bag out of the trunk.
Natasha laughs. âMe neither. But Iâm happy youâre here!â
You give her a flat look as Bob steps out of the car and stretches his legs. He squints into the sunlight and then sneezes three times. He blinks back some tears and catches you looking at him. âItâs uh, itâs called the photic sneeze reflex,â he says, scratching his nose.
You watch him with amusement. âOkay,â you say.
âContrary to popular belief,â Bob continues, dragging a few bags out of the backseat. âItâs not just the sun that can trigger it. But alsoâ â
The rest of his statement, however, is drowned out by the sound of a rattling engine.
âHoly noise pollution,â you say as a blue Ford Bronco parks beside Natashaâs car.
The passenger window rolls down and a handsome man with an exuberant grin nods at the three of you. âHowdy!â he says.
Natasha rolls her eyes and waves at the man absently. âHangman, you came,â she says unenthusiastically.
âOf course, I came, darlinâ,â he says, stepping out of the car jovially.
You glance between Natasha and the man she called Hangman uneasily. Youâve known Natasha since high school and, while youâve hung out with Bob a few times at her place, you have yet to meet her other friends from work. And if they all look like Hangman then you are in serious trouble.
Hangman turns to look at you. âAnd who do we have here?â he asks, sticking a toothpick into his mouth. A toothpick. What the fuck?
âDonât make the lady uncomfortable, Hangman,â another voice says from behind the car.
âWhat did I say?â Hangman asks, feigning offence as the second man steps around the vehicle, spinning the ring of his key around his index finger before clutching it in his hand and sticking it into his pocket.
You meet his gaze just as he lowers his sunglasses with a smirk on his face, and youâre utterly disgusted by the extent to which this slight smile sends you absolutely reeling. Heâs not gorgeous, by any means. In fact, the one called Hangman is probably the better looking of the two, but the way this manâs eyes hold your gaze is pure sorcery. He finally lowers his eyes, removing his Ray-Bans and tucking them into the breast pocket of his Hawaiian shirt as his grin widens. He looks like he is more than aware of the effect he has on women, which makes you wary, to the say the least.
âI see youâve packed enough instruments to sustain a symphony orchestra,â you hear Phoenix saying as she starts to unload the Bronco.
Hangman steps away to help Phoenix with the bags while the man in the Hawaiian shirt chuckles, glancing over his shoulder at her.
âHe wants to jam,â Hangman says mockingly, sliding a hard-shell case out of the back of the car.
âI like jam,â Bob chimes in from behind you and you turn to see him pulling two tent bags out of Phoenixâs trunk. Hangman, Phoenix, and Hawaiian shirt all turn to look at Bob who blinks at the four of you innocently. He gulps. âItâs uh, sweet,â he continues. âI prefer it to jelly. I like the texture, the fruit?â
You nod. âYeah,â you say. âSame.â
Bob grins at you appreciatively and starts across the campsite as you turn back to the others. Hawaiian shirt is giving you an amused sort of look. âI did bring jam, actually,â he says.
You raise your eyebrows at him with a smile. âSounds like weâre all set, then,â you respond.
He laughs.
âHey Rooster,â Hangman calls. âYou gonna help us with this shit or are you just gonna keep flirting?â
Roosterâs mouth twitches as he attempts to control his grin. He turns on the spot unhurriedly and gives Hangman a pointed look. The two of them exchange what seems to be a rather meaningful glance combined with a series of silent cues and Hangman finally sighs resignedly, grabbing another duffel bag and ushering Phoenix toward the center of the campsite where the fire pit is located.
âKnow how to get a fire going, Naty?â he asks as Phoenix gives him a dirty look for urging her along with him.
âHow fucking hard can it be?â you hear her saying as the two of them walk away.
The man with the sandy hair turns back to look at you with a sheepish expression. âIâm, uh, Bradley,â he says, licking his lips as he extends his hand toward you.
âY/N,â you respond, putting your hand in his just as a pickup truck pulls up to the campsite.
âExcuse me,â a maleâs voice says as a head pokes out from the driverâs side window. âWeâre a little lost.â
Bradley turns to look at the man with a cocked eyebrow and a smirk.
âWeâre looking for the great outdoors but all weâve come across so far are just the regular outdoors,â the man continues, shutting off the engine.
Bradley chuckles. âGlad you could make it, Payback,â he says, giving the man a clap on the back as the latter steps out of his car.
âHad to chloroform Mickey just to get him out here,â Payback responds with a grin.
From behind the truck, you hear the man referred to as Mickey groaning. âWhose fucking idea was this?â
Bradley raises his hand, peeking around the truck. âGuilty.â
Payback is examining the campsite with a scrunched-up face. âThis isnât exactly what Iâd call a vacation.â
âYouâre gonna love it,â Hangman calls as he comes back to greet his friends.
Mickey steps out from behind the truck with a grimace. âI smell shit,â he says.
âThat would be Hangman,â Phoenix says, arriving to stand by your side with a smirk on her face.
Hangman gives her a sly smile and then turns to look at you. âSheâs always talkinâ about me,â he says. âSheâs in love with me or somethinâ.â
He winks at Phoenix who reaches over to smack him on the back of his head. âYou fucking wish!â she hisses between blows.
Hangman covers his face with his hands. âDarlinâ, if you like it rough, just say so.â Hangman chuckles and Phoenix takes a hold of his wrist and starts twisting his arm. Hangman winces, his knees buckling slightly as Phoenix targets a pressure point on his forearm. âIâm joking, Iâm joking!â He laughs. âMercy!â When Phoenix finally lets go, Hangman turns to you and mutters. âI kind of like it when she gets violent, not gonna lie.â
You suppress a chuckle while Phoenix gives Hangman a dirty look.
âŚ
Three hours later, when the tents are set up and Bradley and Hangman have started a fire, youâre sitting with Phoenix inside the dining tent cutting vegetables.
âUh, so, the one with the Hawaiian shirt,â you say quietly.
Phoenix raises her eyebrows and looks at you with a grin. âYes?â
âHeâs probably taken right?â
Phoenix nods profusely. âSo single,â she says, continuing to bob her head up and down.
You laugh at your friendâs response and then say, âReally?â
Phoenix grimaces slightly. âHeâs a bit of a loner, actually,â she says. âWhen it comes to relationships, at least. Like, he dates. But never anything serious. In fact, I have never known him to have a significant other.â
âWell, thatâs a red flag,â you say.
Phoenix shrugs. âHis father died when he was very young. Left his mother to raise him by herself. I think he just wants to avoid all of that.â
âAvoid living?â
Phoenix grins at you, leaning back to get a good look at your face. âHoly shit, you are so into him.â
âIâm not,â you say.
âYou fucking are!â
You roll your eyes, scraping cucumber slices off a cutting board and into a bowl. âI mean, heâs not too hard on the eyes.â
Phoenix purses her lips, grinning widely. âLooked like he thought the same about you.â
You let out a wry chuckle. âIâm not looking for a fuckboy.â
âI wouldnât call him that.â Phoenix cringes. âHeâs just⌠careful.â
You shrug. âSo am I.â
Phoenix glances between you and Bradley, who is skewering pieces of marinated meat onto a metal spit. âYou should go talk to him,â Phoenix says decisively.
You look toward the fire pit, admiring the curve of Bradleyâs shoulders as he leans forward over a basin of meat. Heâs taken off the Hawaiian shirt and the white muscle shirt heâs wearing is certainly giving you feelings. Still, youâre reluctant to go there.
Phoenix nudges you in the side. âBabe, go. What have you got to lose?â
But, before you can get up, you see Hangman reaching for one of the hardcases stacked on a tarp near the fire. He flicks the latches open and pulls out a guitar. âRooster!â he shouts. âYouâre on!â
Bradley squints up at Hangman with a tentative grin. âIâm covered in meat juice,â he says, spreading his hands to indicate the mess dripping from fingers.
Hangman raises his eyebrows. âI will ignore that innuendo,â he says. âGo wash your hands in the lake. Dinner can wait.â
Bradley chuckles, shaking his head.
âThe women are hungry!â Phoenix yells to them, cupping her hands around her mouth.
Bradley glances over at the two of you and then back at Hangman. âThe women are hungry,â he says, shrugging, and digs his hand back into the basin.
âOkay,â Phoenix says. âThis is your opportunity.â
You look at her skeptically. âWeâre here for a week,â you say, making a disgusted face because you canât imagine an entire week without a proper shower or bed. âIâm sure there will be plenty of opportunities.â
How voting works:
Choose your favorite option. Iâll give about a week for voting and then write the next chapter using the most popular choice (or a wild card if someone comes up with something I like better). You can respond in the comments or reblog with your response! I will also accept anonymous responses if you send me an ask :D
Options:
A) Go talk to Bradley (make Phoenix proud) B) Play hard to get (donât go to talk to Bradley) C) Go talk to Hangman (to see if Bradley might get jealous and make the first move) D) Wild Card (tell me what you would do and if I like your answer best, I will use it instead of the winning option)
Letâs play!

WILLOW CREEK, Americreek (SNN) - - Queen Katherine I and Prince Rainier, Prince consort, just returned from a visit to the United States and the White House on a goodwill tour. During this five-day visit, the royal couple were hosted by President Paulina McNally and First Gentleman Prescott McNally at the White House. Queen Katherine I stayed in the Rose Bedroom while Prince Rainier stayed in the Lincoln Bedroom.
Queen Katherine I has shown off a more adventurous side of her wardrobe in vintage pieces, and custom made dresses during her royal tour of the United States of Americreek this week, mostly by famed designer @rustys-cc.
DAY ONE
LANDING IN THE US IN COLORS OF THE FLAG
As they arrived at Reinhart Airport in the RAF Voyager jet to kick off their tour, Her Majesty touched down on her trip in a bright blue outfit by designer @rustys-cc while Rainier opted for a grey suit and tie.
The Queen also carried a scallop trim clutch by @theroyalsims and wore Adaline's Wedding brooch. In a nod to the Americreek flag, Queen Katherine paired her gorgeous cobalt blue dress with @dallasgirl79's 'Christian Louboutin Iriza' pumps in the same shade.
Katherine and Rainier were greeted on the tarmac by Willow Creek Governor, Jamal Tompkins and US Secretary of State, Rachel Pitt.
Their first stop was the White House to meet with President McNally and the first gentleman, and settle in their rooms. The president is in a crucial race for re-election in November against Republican challenger, Harold T. Dixon.
In a statement, Buckingsim Palace stressed this as a 'goodwill tour' not a State visit, which warrants official public ceremonies, and state receptions. Royal/goodwill tours are less formal visits than a state visit to another country, with a lesser emphasis on ceremonial events.
DAY TWO
VISIT CACAO FARM IN NEWCREST
The Queen once again showed she's mastered the art by donning the colors of Americreek's flag on day two of her US tour with Prince Rainier.
They kicked off the second date of their tour by indulging their love of music and chocolate as they were shown around a family-run cacao farm in the coastal town of Willsimsburg.
Dressing like the Americreek flag, Kate donned a §500 blue and white polkadot midi-dress by @sentate, for the occasion. To add an extra touch of blue, Her Majesty donned §55 statement Aquamarine earrings from trendy brand @glitterberrysims. And she recycled her trusty nude platform wedges by @dallasgirl79, her go-to footwear for any summery events or outings.
During their visit to the Che 'il chocolate farm, Kate couldn't resist the "amazing" smell wafting in the air as she tried her hand at grinding nibs (crumbled dried cacao beans) with a mortar and pestle, a task typically performed by sims women in the rural communities of Latin Americreek.
And though Prince Phillip, Princess Grace, Prince Michael, and Prince Samuel were thousands of miles away, they were at the forefront of the Queen and Prince consort's minds, with Kate admitting, "I think our children will be very jealous," as they dipped tortilla chips into a chocolate fountain and sampled hot chocolate made from the organic farm.
DAY THREE
VISITED THE ANCIENT MAYAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF DEL SOL VALLEY
The Queen dressed for the occasion as she embarked on a trip to the ancient Mayan archaeological site in the jungle during day three of the tour, as she joined Prince Rainier on a visit to an ancient Mayan site in Del Sol Valley.
She arrived in green trousers, paired with a simple white t-shirt, Ray Ban 2140 sunglasses by PauleanR and canvas boots.
The prince matched Her Majesty and dressed in casual neutrals.
Kate and Rainier later went deeper into the jungle and took part in a jungle survival skills lesson with the US Army Training Support Unit.
DAY FOUR
WHITE HOUSE GIFT EXCHANGE AND RECEPTION
President McNally exchanged gifts with Queen Katherine I in an East Room ceremony at the White House in Willow Creek.
Her Majesty wore a repeat, but in purple, of the Somerville Coat Dress by @warwickroyalsâ she wore to the 2023 Service of Thanks.
The Queen presented President McNally with a set of silver-plated horseshoes and a leather bound version of "Americreek Is Lost," a copy of the essay written in 1882 by King Albert II analyzing the causes and the effects of the Americreek Revolution.
The President gifted Queen Katherine and Rainier, Prince consort a Steuben crystal flower bowl engraved with quotations from William Shakesime and a framed print of an 1897 newspaper illustration depicting four horses pulling a carriage through Newcrest.
US Senator Mitch McCorkle also presented Her Majesty a pair of Gold Butterfly earrings, a gift on behalf of the US Senate.
Showing she can also dress up to, later in the day Katherine I sported a §2,500 vintage yellow gown by designer @rustys-cc for an evening reception in celebration of Her Majesty's visit, which she paired with the Mary Beth of Gibralsim Diamond bandeau, Pearl choker by @batsfromwesteros, and Gold Butterfly earrings gifted to her by the US Senate earlier in the day.
One of the most recognizable bracelets Katherine wore is a Vintage LEPÂ bracelet by renowned jeweler, S-Club. Gifted to Zarah, Queen Dowager (then Queen consort) by the US Senate during a goodwill tour with husband, Edward II, in November 1952.
The bracelet features several design elements that symbolize peace and hope. The scrolling link sections have a four-leaf clover design, a floral motif that primarily symbolizes good luck, so the Queen may have opted for this bracelet in tribute to the start of her reign.
DAY FIVE
FLIGHT TO WINDENBURG
Queen Katherine and Rainier arrived at Lucas Reinhart III International Airport as they depart Americreek and board a flight back to Windenburg.
After her whirlwind tour of Americreek, Her Majesty still found time to showcase her fashion credentials.
As she departed Americreek for Windenburg, the Queen sported a vintage red @rustys-cc sweater she bought while studying at the University of Britechester, where she met Prince Rainier over a decade ago.
Buckingsim Palace announced today that The Prince consort, as chair of the Commonwealth Study Conference, will visit Dacana next week on a private working tour. The trip is the first visit overseas the Prince consort will make without the Queen.

a day in the life: glasses
notes: satoshoko, rated G, pre-relationship, vignette
read on Ao3 here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/48623347
...
Autumn, 2007
The department store was moderately busy, which was a relief for Satoru, because it meant he could hunt for his replacement sunglasses in peace.Â
Well, relative peace, if the scrunched-up expression on Shokoâs face every time he tried a pair was anything to go by. Satoru returned the Ray-Bans that didnât pass peer review back onto the shelf and turned to her.Â
âSeriously.â
âWhat?â Shoko was wearing a similar pair of aviators of a cheaper brand, which actually looked good on her, which necessitated Satoruâs removal from her face so he could scowl at her unhindered and undistracted. âJerk! I was trying that!â
âYouâre hovering.â Satoru held the aviators out of reach when she jumped for them.Â
âAm not.â
"Are too."
Shoko grunted as Satoru thwarted another swipe. Satoru grunted, taking a hit to the gut. There wasnât as much force behind it as heâd become accustomed to and he tried not to think about the implications of that.
âYou are. Iâm fine; Iâm not gonna go ape, but I swear if ya keep hanginâ around Iâllââ
âYouâll what?â Shoko cut, unfazed at all by the height difference as he loomed over her. It was a stark departure from the girl who always vanished at the slightest inkling of conflict and knowing this triggered an innate sense that anything he said now would be thrown back in his face. There existed certain people who couldnât be baited, and people who knew every detail of yourself you deemed insignificant were top of the list.Â
AlthoughâŚ
Rumour had it the higher-ups had already shoulder-tapped her to helm the Infirmary when the current head stepped down. If that was true, then that was one less person on his side and one more on the side of the dumbasses fighting to maintain the broken status quo.Â
A screaming match might help him get his mojo back, but he couldnât gamble on their friendship surviving the aftermath. If he wanted to beat the higher-ups and build a less shitty world, he needed to take a leaf out of their books and plant deeper roots. He needed to not make enemies of the friends he still had.Â
Satoru inhaled deeply and exhaled. Letgoletgoletgoletgoâgone.Â
âYouâll what?â Shoko said again, still ever so steady.Â
âIâll nothing,â Satoru said, âbecause Iâm fine as I keep tellinâ ya. Here.â
He slid the aviators back onto her face, Shoko holding still as she accepted the peace offering with a tiny blush that spread across her cheeks when his fingers grazed her temples. This did not go unnoticed by Satoru, who fought the temptation to tease.Â
âCome on dude,â he said. âYouâre wasting your one day off. Just go shopping and then rendezvous after.â
âStupid. Itâs not a waste.âÂ
Satoruâs eyebrows rose. âOhh?â The first time had been a freebie, Satoru decided. Now it was fair game. âCare to explain?â
"Oh shut up. I didn't mean it like that."
She probably didnât, because god only knew what went on in the head of a person who explained Reversed Cursed Technique with âvibesâ and sounds, but Satoru pounced anyway.Â
âNawww, you missed my company that much?â He said, poking her arm and dodging when she tried to swat him. He fluffed up his collar and ran a hand through his hair with a snicker. âI guess I could check my schedule and try to slot you in same time next week, but donât cry if I canât; Iâm real popular with girls and women between the ages ofâoomph!â he went as Shoko shoved him aside.Â
She analysed her reflection, tilting her head down and then side to side. âStop being so full of yourself. Iâm shopping too in case you havenât noticed.â
âAlso noticed ya givinâ me the stink-eye for no reason.â Satoru made as if to try on a pair of hexagon-shaped frames and Shokoâs eye twitched. He pointed. âAha! There! See?â
Shoko swatted his finger out of her face. âI thought that was obvious. Youâre getting sucked in by brands, and not whether they suit your face shape.â
âFace shape? Who the hell cares aboutâhold on, hold on, hold on.â Satoru cackled. He took a step towards her. âWhaddya mean âface shapeâ? Sounds like someoneâs got a cââ
Shoko thrust a pair of rectangle frames in his face. âThese ones. Try. See? Much better and at a quarter of the price, moneybags.â
âReally?â Satoru said, now grinning at his reflection, turning his head this way and that. âHuhâŚI do look good in these, donât I?â He deepened his voice. âTell me, Mr. Andersssonnn...â
Weâre going to be okay.Â
For the first time in weeks, Shokoâs smile did not take effort.Â
While he was so preoccupied with reciting the rest of Hugo Weaving's monologue with utter aplomb, Shoko ruminated. The old Satoru was still there but with a newfound maturity she hadnât expected. Sheâd been prepared for virtually every conceivable comeback from that smart-ass but a diplomatic retreat? Not in all the time sheâd known and observed him. It definitely spelt mischief of a more subtle nature further down the line.
As long as they stuck together and checked up on each other, theyâd make it out of this. Obviously, sheâd see the higher-ups about loosening her schedule first. If Satoru could leverage his status as the Six Eyes, then maybe she could leverage her status as one of the few who could perform reversed cursed healing.Â
At least, it wouldnât hurt to try.
Shoko heard soft giggling coming from somewhere behind her. She turned.Â
A trio of women were smiling in her and Satoruâs direction like they were in on a secret, and Shokoâs face went from warm to overheated in an instant. One of the women pointed. Shoko followed her finger and found herself running lest Satoru shelled out for a pair of Oliver Peoples that did nothing for his cheekbones.Â

Ray-Ban Sunglasses Buying Guide: How to Choose the Perfect Pair for Your Face Shape
Ray ban sunglasses have long been a symbol of style, sophistication, and quality. Whether youâre looking for something casual or chic, a pair of Ray-Bans will always make a statement. But with so many designs and models, how do you know which pair will suit your face the best? This guide will walk you through how to choose the perfect Ray-Ban sunglasses based on your face shape, ensuring you not only look great but also feel confident in your choice.
Why Face Shape Matters
Choosing sunglasses that complement your face shape can make a significant difference in your overall appearance. The right pair of sunglasses can balance out your features, enhance your best traits, and even give you a more symmetrical look. Ray-Ban offers a variety of styles, each suited to different face shapes, so understanding which shapes work best for you is the first step in finding your perfect pair.
Identifying Your Face Shape
Before diving into which ray ban sunglass suit different face shapes, itâs important to identify what your face shape is. There are five common face shapes: round, square, oval, heart, and diamond. Stand in front of a mirror or take a selfie and evaluate your faceâs proportions and contours.
Round: Your face is about as wide as it is long, with soft angles and no sharp lines.
Square: Your jawline is strong, and your forehead, cheeks, and jaw are nearly the same width.
Oval: Your face is longer than it is wide, and your features are balanced.
Heart: You have a wider forehead and narrower chin, often with high cheekbones.
Diamond: Your cheekbones are the widest part of your face, with a narrower forehead and jawline.
Best Ray-Ban Sunglasses for Each Face Shape
1. Round Face
If you have a round face, your goal is to add angles and length to your features. Sunglasses with sharp lines or geometric shapes will provide contrast and help balance the soft curves of your face.
Best Styles: Wayfarer, Clubmaster
Why It Works: The classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer with its angular, trapezoidal frame is a great choice for people with round faces. The sharp lines add definition and help elongate the face. Another excellent choice is the Ray-Ban Clubmaster, which features a thicker upper frame and thin lower frame, adding structure and breaking up the faceâs natural roundness.
Keyword Tip: The Ray-Ban Wayfarer is a timeless option for those with round faces, offering a blend of style and structure. You can find Ray-Ban sunglasses for men and women in these designs, making them versatile for all.
2. Square Face
A square face is defined by a strong jawline and prominent forehead. For this face shape, the goal is to soften the angles and create a more balanced look. Curved or rounded frames are perfect for achieving this effect.
Best Styles: Aviator, Round
Why It Works: The Ray-Ban Aviator is a top choice for square faces. The large, teardrop shape helps soften the angular lines of the face while adding a touch of classic elegance. The rounded Ray-Ban Round Metal sunglasses also work well, bringing in gentle curves to offset the sharpness of the face.
Keyword Tip: Square-faced individuals looking for classic elegance should consider Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses. Whether you're seeking Ray-Ban sunglasses for men or Ray-Ban sunglasses for women, these models are universally flattering.
3. Oval Face
Those with an oval face are the lucky ones, as nearly every type of sunglasses looks great on this shape. The balanced proportions of the oval face mean that you can experiment with a wide range of styles, from bold, oversized frames to sleek and minimalistic designs.
Best Styles: Aviator, Wayfarer, Oversized
Why It Works: Since an oval face has well-balanced proportions, the Ray-Ban Aviator and Ray-Ban Wayfarer both work beautifully. For a bold statement, you might also opt for oversized frames like the Ray-Ban Jackie Ohh, which adds a fashionable edge while maintaining the harmony of your faceâs natural features.
Keyword Tip: With an oval face, you have the luxury to explore various Ray-Ban sunglasses designs, whether you're shopping for Ray-Ban sunglasses for men or Ray-Ban sunglasses for women.
4. Heart-Shaped Face
A heart-shaped face features a broad forehead, high cheekbones, and a narrower chin. The key here is to choose sunglasses that balance out the width of the forehead and draw attention to the lower part of the face.
Best Styles: Aviator, Cat-Eye
Why It Works: Ray-Ban Aviators are an excellent option for heart-shaped faces because their wider top and narrower bottom mirror the natural shape of the face. For women, Ray-Ban Cat-Eye sunglasses add a playful, retro vibe while also balancing out the wider forehead by drawing attention toward the cheekbones and jawline.
Keyword Tip: Ray-Ban sunglasses for women like the Cat-Eye or Ray-Ban Aviator are ideal for heart-shaped faces, offering both style and balance.
5. Diamond Face
Diamond-shaped faces have prominent cheekbones, a narrower forehead, and a tapered jawline. The goal with this face shape is to enhance the cheekbones while balancing the narrower forehead and jaw.
Best Styles: Oval, Rimless, Cat-Eye
Why It Works: Ray-Ban Oval sunglasses and rimless designs are perfect for diamond-shaped faces. They draw attention to the cheekbones while softening the angles. The Cat-Eye style, with its upswept edges, can also highlight the cheekbones, adding a touch of glamour without overpowering the faceâs natural symmetry.
Keyword Tip: For those with a diamond-shaped face, Ray-Ban sunglasses for men and Ray-Ban sunglasses for women come in various oval and rimless designs that can complement your unique features.
Final Tips for Choosing the Perfect Ray-Ban Sunglasses
While face shape plays a major role in finding the right pair of sunglasses, itâs not the only factor to consider. Think about the following when selecting your next pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses:
Color: Choose a frame color that compliments your skin tone. Black and tortoise-shell frames are versatile and classic, while lighter hues like silver and gold work well with warmer skin tones.
Fit: Make sure the sunglasses fit your face properly. They should sit comfortably on your nose without sliding, and the lenses should cover your eyes without overwhelming your face.
Personal Style: At the end of the day, choose sunglasses that reflect your personal style. Whether you love vintage-inspired designs like the Ray-Ban Clubmaster or prefer a modern look with the Ray-Ban Aviator, the perfect pair is the one that makes you feel confident.
Conclusion
Finding the perfect pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses can feel overwhelming with so many options, but by understanding your face shape and the styles that suit it, you can make a choice that enhances your natural beauty. Whether youâre searching for Ray-Ban sunglasses for men or Ray-Ban sunglasses for women, knowing your face shape is the key to choosing a pair thatâs both flattering and fashionable. Now, itâs time to grab your next favorite pair and step out in style!
