Last night my husband brought me home this beautiful hyacinth, which was such a sweet surprise. We don't generally make a fuss about minor occasions, and he doesn't usually ever get me flowers (I prefer fruit and celery!), and that's just fine by me. But what a delightful surprise to find these on the counter when he was out walking Muffins. He brought me spring! 🌱 __🌷...🌷__ Within 15 minutes of them being in the house, however, I began to feel nauseated and headachey. Not good signs. After I thanked him for his thoughtfulness and told him how happy it made me, I had to ask him to remove them. He put them out in the car to save me. I'm not allergic to flowers, I want to be clear. This wasn't an allergy. __🌷...🌷__ What it was was nervous system overload. Cooped up in winter. No fresh air or sunshine. Stress running my adrenals combined with not eating in a way that best supports my adrenals (eating fat, even small amounts like I had been) and not grazing frequently enough, my toxin bucket was full and these beautiful flowers just tipped it over. __🌷...🌷__ But it was a gift in every way. A gift that let me know that I'd been lax long enough. That it was time to really show myself some compassion and take charge of my healing again. To show my body the love it deserves - that I deserve. Spring is coming, but I don't need to wait. I'll make my own spring right here, right now. He brought me spring. Now it's in me! __🌷...🌷__ It's time for high raw, no overt fat, plant-based super love. And it starts today! P. S. - Today the finches were back! I spent the first day of the #newyear with the love of my life. Prepping #rawfood and brainstorming ideas on how to heal the world, one person at a time. (We have so many!) We made 96 ounces of #greenjuice, 8 salads in a jar and 6 snack packs with chopped carrots, celery, and cucumber with a portion cup full of #homemade #chipotleranch inside the mason jar. This was way more work than I thought but so worth it! Half of this food we donated to my good friend @lockedwithlyme. We are determined to help her get rid of her Lymes disease.
